Would do zero stars if I could. Been dealing with customer service since March 2022 on getting the awful installation job fixed. As of July 2022 No one will show up when supposed to or they will send the original guy who messed it up in the first place two days after the job was scheduled…took time off work to be there the scheduled day.Or customer service will laugh on the phone when you tell them what happened after they call to see how the job went-did not go over the project or show us the flooring he was using prior to starting the job.-did not install the white risers that we specifically asked for in our quote. When we told him he said this is better, you want this. When we said no again that is not what we ordered he said he would have to leave as he did not come prepared with the requested items and would not know when he would be back.-Installer cut all flooring items inside and set off our smoke alarms-took several days to get them reset as he kept setting them off from the smoke created while cutting inside-Left nails, cut plastic and debris from project in our house that we had to clean up after he left-Caulk on the walls-Caluk carelessly applied where its not smooth against baseboard-Caulk to cover holes in our walls in the stair area-Cracked baseboards-Black scuff marks on walls-Top of the stairway, 3rd stair down the flooring is uneven and not smooth like all the other stairsDon’t buy your flooring from them. Their workmanship is awful….customer service even worse$11,000 wasted.

Edit: Empire sent out some guys to stretch our carpets for free.ZERO STARS! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! This is by far the WORST company in the industry. We had carpet installed in all 3 of our bedrooms in 2021. The carpet began to ripple 2 months after install, even in rooms that we never go in. The carpet looks like the OCEAN FLOOR. We’d have guests come over to our newly remodeled house and ask when we are going to have the carpets replaced… when we told them we just replaced them, guests were SHOCKED. We have been trying to get ahold of someone for 2 YEARS to help us resolve this issue. I would leave voicemail after voicemail. They are now claiming that they tried to call me and leave me a email but I have NO record of that. I am a real estate agent in Phoenix Arizona and I sell to investors who are constantly in need of flooring referrals. I will be sure to tell them to avoid this company at ALL costs, and you should too! PLEASE don’t give this company your business. I am still leaving voicemails trying to get this issue resolved but they won’t do anything because there’s only a one year warranty, how convenient they avoided my calls for a whole year!!! RUN.

Stay Away! When my husband looked up flooring, the big ad budget put them at the top with their flashy 70% off ads. A sales person (Robbie) got us to sign a temporary application in case we decided to buy. As they were able to start right away, we proceeded but declined the warranty. Unfortunately, Wells Fargo still seems to show we owe that but Robbie assured me that it would be taken off...it just needs time. They came in, worked fast and the floors look great (though not as scratch resistant as we were led to believe) BUT, the whole reason we did this was to even out the floors in our large manufactured home. There were dips of up to 1% in the transition from one room to the next. They had to take the flooring back out and try to fix it. It's not 100% right but better than before. Our kitchen was the biggest issue so we suggested they start there so there was time to address any needs under the existing flooring. They waited until the last day to really address it then the foreman wasn't there for most of this. They use a quick set but didn't bring fans to help it dry. With two of our fans, it started then they laid the new flooring down...but it was not right.Later, we could literally feel a bounce under the floor. There are several areas where the floor is very obviously not right. We notified them immediately then they were to come out after we came back into town. We were scheduled to have the kitchen/laundry room flooring repaired last week, didn't hear, reached out a few times to find out the flooring was on backorder and should be in the next Monday or Tuesday and they would contact us to hopefully come out on Thurs. Waited, texted the foreman, waited, texted the saleslady, finally heard back. They are due out again today. This will mean our kitchen and laundry room being taken apart again (such an inconvenience) but we are not stopping until this is 100% fixed.I hope I have a great update to add and maybe more stars but if you are looking for flooring right now, I would keep looking.UPDATE: They came back out, poured the leveling agent they should have used from the beginning. They agreed with my decision to wait a few days for it to completely dry before putting the flooring back. In the meantime, walking on the hard surface still showed some unevenness but they said they'd ground down the edges, not put the baseboards back till I could was happy. I made the mistake of working outside that morning then came in after only a short time to find the baseboards back. While the floor was better than their first attempt, it was and is still not right. In some areas, you can feel where the leveling agent stopped, a few planks click when you walk on the seam between them.I am not having them back out to fix this again. Other action will have to be taken.Please...don't get fooled by the 70% blast in your search for flooring. It's product only and just not worth all this or the bill you are still left with.

Where is the option for zero stars? We just had the entire house done with vinyl plank and carpet to the tune of $14,000. Disappointment is the kindest word I can use. Our first salesman, Elan, was terrible. Dismissed my wife and i completely once we told him we were shopping around with a timeline of 4-6 months. He gave us a wild quote of “between $18,000 and $24,000” then left without showing us a single sample of flooring. The next salesman, John, was great to an extent - but i get it… typical sales practice - Hit them high, then bash the first guy and come in with a lower price. We signed the contract and were on our way, with some very loft expectations set. We were promised our lives would not be disrupted in anyway, and that there would not be a need for use to change our day to day.Day one with demo and partial LVP install came and went. ALL of our living room and dining room funiture was left out in the AZ summer sun, even after asking for them to at least bring in our couch and dining table so my wife, toddler son and I could eat dinner together. All that was brought in was their tools and materials.Day two, they finish the LVP and baseboard. Brad nails were left everywhere, some sticking out of the baseboard by an inch and just hammered over like a lazy landlord repair. Caulking was just smeared over the top of the baseboard, the bathtub has gaps of nearly 1/2” to the flooring and were filled with caulking, and the cement the used to level the sub floor is splattered all down our hallway, my sons bathroom, the master bedroom door and in the kitchen. Each door that they removed no longer closes properly, requiring that i fix their screw ups. Not to mention, some of our own belongings came up “missing” after they left. At this time, they also left tack strips exposed at the doorways knowing full on that we had a toddler, 2 dogs and two cats. The bullnose corner moldings do not match the baseboard that was used, some LVP is not sitting properly and crackles when walking over it, and in general the quality of work workmanship is abysmal. The installers left scraps of plank all over the house and front yard, as well as packing material blowing all up and down the street.A week later was the carpet install, and if i am being honest, that day saved a little respect for this company. The entire time we went through this ordeal we called empire and their install department and no less than twelve times and left voicemails each time about all these concerns and to this day not a single soul has contacted us.

My sales rep Raymond was great. The flooring materials & installation are good. The baseboard installation is not good. Three joints are poorly done (see photos), two of which were completely unnecessary. Your system appears to be one where the onus is on the customer to monitor installation to ensure that it’s done properly. Empire should have a representative making sure that it’s done properly.

Don’t even want to give 1 star. Apparently they didn’t order enough flooring, left my living room half done, the installers left saying they would be back, they didn’t come back. I had to reach out to them 4 hours later to find out what was going on. Was told someone from company would call me , they didn’t. I reached out to Empire and was told someone would call me within 24 business hours. In the meantime my living room is still torn up and I will prob have to take ANOTHER day off work. Incompetence at its finest. Go with another company…..any other company but this one!!!

Honestly I would leave zero stars if I could. we Spent $4000 on carpet from empire in march of 2021. Needless to say they had canceled and rescheduled 3 times on us causing me to loose a additional 2days of my vacation time for that year. Only reason why we stayed with empire is because after the second no call no show We called around to homedepot, lowes, and a few other installers and they where booked up more then 2 months in advance. The reason why I'm writing this review a year later is because our carpet recently has gotten a few humps and folds in it in our master bedroom and the largest spot at the top of the stairs mind you it's a safety hazard and empire finally reached out to me a week and a half later telling me it will cost me just shy of $300 to get the carpet re-stretched! I told them no! The sales person told me all carpet re-stretching and labor cost are covered under warranty for 10 years provided I have the carpet professionally cleaned every 6 months which I have been!!! They told me they can't speak for the sales rep nor where they apart of the original conversation and labor warranty is only covered for the first year it's in our fine print on the website mind you they never even gave me a copy of the warranty paper work! DO NOT TRUST THEM!ITS PROBABLY HARD TO TELL FROM THE PHOTOS I AM POSTING WITH THIS REVIEW BUT THE CREASES OR HUMPS ARE ROUGHLY 1-1.5 HIGH! MY KIDS HAVE ALREADY TRIPPED!

The technician ran out of material the 1st day that they were here, so they said they would be back the next morning to finish the job. They did not come back, and I got a call from the person at the loading dock informing me that the tech had not picked up the material, so they assumed that the tech was no longer coming and wanted to reschedule for Monday. I told the dock employee that I would be at work, my older son would be at work, and my younger sons at school, so there would be no one at home to let him in. She agreed to schedule it for after 4:30pm so my kids would be home. The technician showed up in the morning!! Then he did a terrible job finishing the install. My carpet has an obvious seam through the room, it's not tucked properly, and he messed up the transition pieces in the doorways where it transitions to hard flooring. They're ridiculously loose and have huge gobs of caulking coming out from under them! It looks terrible!

The cost was more than the agreed upon price. The installers left the place a complete mess leaving all rooms even the ones not worked on covered in dust and grime. They did not have enough materials to finish the job and left saying he was going to pick it up and return later that day or the next and I have yet to hear anything. I contacted the salesman who at the end of our chat conversation where I sent him a picture of the mess and incomplete job he sent me a thumbs up emoji with no other response. This is by far the worst experience I have had with being left out to dry with no attempts to contact me about finishing the job, fixing all the stairs areas that were damaged there will be many complaints to corporate and bad reviews every time they send me a request for “how did we do”. These are just a couple of pics in hopes they will come finish the job or even offer to cover the cost of the cleaner we had come in.

Where do I begin…what a nightmare of a company to work for. I spend almost $15k for a job that the sales said would be 3 days. After over 3 weeks, the job is still not done. The installer was decent at first but them lied one after another. During the installation, he couldn’t do some of the things he was hired to do so I had to do them myself. Then found out they didn’t order enough replacement baseboard and when being remedied, the sales person said it would be on empire to cover the additional cost but I got a call 10 min later saying it would be another $500. The installer couldn’t do everything he was supposed to, put the toilets he removed on the carpet and got the water everywhere but didn’t say anything. Said the job was complete without it being done so I had to call and have another job opened up. Was told that the wrong part was ordered several times and still wasn’t in after 3 weeks until I called and FINALLY spoke with someone who said they have the piece and didn’t know what I was talking about. So ultimately it was a lie by the installer who just didn’t want to do his job. I kept trying to call to get the problem handled and install finished but took a week before I actually talked to someone to complain. The “customer service” rep was rude and didn’t care about anything but after complaining enough, they said they had the piece needed the entire time and opened another order, saying it was “covered by the warranty” when the job was never done in the first place. If you’ve read this far just know there’s even more that as of today, has not been resolved. The photo is one piece of what they claim to be “a completed job”. I’ll never do business with them again and would recommend any other company to work with. I’m even seeking legal action against them for violation of contract.*Update: never heard back from them until after I reported to the BBB and the next day they were finishing the job. However once they were done they disappeared again and won’t return my phone calls about the additional charges they put on for product they did not use and for still charging me for things they couldn’t do that I ended up doing myself. Bottom line, they are terrible.

Workers showed up on time which is a big deal in Phoenix! They took the time to go through each room to make sure I agreed how the flooring would be installed. Job was done professionally and they did an excellent job. Walked through after job completed to make sure I was completely satisfied. Highly recommend Empire and the customer service. Thank you for a job well done!!

Our experience was relatively smooth; the salesman came to our house and provided us with free measurements and a quote. This occurred on a busy day for us and he was extremely efficient. Our installation was scheduled for the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, when the installers arrived they did not have enough carpet. We were rescheduled for Friday. Friday morning I received a call telling me the product was not yet in. Finally, we received our new carpet on Saturday. Once it was installed, we were very happy. The installers spoke Spanish and very limited English, which presented a challenge, but they were friendly and quick! My only complaint is with the scheduling and rescheduling. We had to take time off work and move things around in our schedules two different times, only to be rescheduled. I know this was not necessarily any one person's fault; however, it did cost us money which was upsetting. Overall: I would use them again.

I not recommend this company for the service. When I scheduled the cell rep come over. They seem like very nice and a lot of promise. They put me on the schedule for the installation on a days off. I got a text message to confirm the appointment day. On the day they came. Nobody even show up. No phone call. I called them to question about appointment. They request the call back but never hear from them. I called my cell rep. No way to found him. I keep car and car finally he pick up the phone. He told me he’s going to keep in touch with that and schedule for me next day and promised me to call me back to let me know what happened. But next day after that he is disappear . A installer finally came. When I have a question I want to call to question them they never respond but they pressure me to pay them when the installation came. I told him I will call to pay them in little bit, but the pressure installer keeps calling me for that. Which is ridiculous. When I need to have a question nobody even can answer me but what they want me to pay they keep call an call. A job finally done. I never heard any of them contact me to see how is a job work. It’s done right or not.My installation is look beautiful but a customer service are terrible. I wouldn’t recommendation’s for anyone if you don’t want to deal with a hassle.I would give them zero star but they don’t have it out there.

I feel bad about sharing this with the public, but I have not heard back from Empire after writing to their customer service department and speaking directly to my sales person.I was scheduled to have three bedrooms and a sitting area carpeted. I moved all of the smaller stuff the night before. I was still unsure of my appointment time. I was told I would know a day before if it was a morning or afternoon appointment. I got up very early, and received a call from Empire. The carpet contractors that were supposed to handle my appointment did not show up at the 'docks' to get my carpet. The woman explained that they would need to come to my home the next day. About an hour later, she called and said they could be there by 10:30am.One person came to my home with the carpet and padding- just one. I spent my morning with him, moving the larger items. It was difficult for me, but I had no choice. The person they sent, spent the day, doing this job by himself. At 6:30pm, I had to ask him to finish what he could, I needed to go to work. He was able to finish the carpet, but nothing else. Not the clean up, or putting my furniture back where it belonged. I called Empire to discuss and received no call back. I called my sales person - nothing. I had to move 3 bedrooms and a sitting room by my self. I am 5]'4' and weigh 100 lbs. This was over the top difficult. After calling, writing and calling again, I have heard NOTHING from Empire today - its disgusting that I would be treated like this. This job was not completed. I spent 3 days trying to get my house back in order.I think that the person they sent did his very best. He told me he always works with a partner - not on that day. I feel that I am owed and I expect some attention from Empire. I need my faith renewed. I had high hopes for having the rest of my home completed.

I had vinyl planking installed in my home about 6 months ago. Initially, the floor looked great. About 1 month after install, the flooring began to buckle in several areas. It has now increased to multiple areas throughout the home. Installation supervisor was supposed to inspect the problem but No-Showed three times with no calls or follow-up. Company has sent several repair people to look at the problem but no one with any authority to take care of the issue is responding. Customer service in my area (Phoenix) is very slow to respond to messages. I was finally offered the opportunity to do a product reselect for a different flooring choice. When the installers came, they had the wrong flooring materials. So far, no one has responded to the problem. Empire Today's customer service is very disappointing, to say the least. I will probably get another message like others have received that the company is very sorry for my experience and will be in touch shortly. That would be great but I highly doubt anything will actually happen. I would at this time recommend to anyone thinking about dealing with this company to strongly consider going elsewhere. They treat you like gold until the job is done. After that, you are a nuisance and will probably be given the runaround like I, and others like me, have received. This company does not have any physical locations to where you can go to actually talk to people. Their salespeople carry samples in their cars. You cannot meet someone face-to-face is you have problems or concerns. This may be by design so you are so frustrated in dealing with the company you feel like giving up. If you are considering any flooring replacement, go somewhere else or you will most likely have problems with service after the sale, too. If the finally takes care of me, I will post an update. Time will tell.

Our salesman presented the sales pitch and helped us professionally. He assured us that they would do the carpet in 3 rooms. I wanted the install to be 2 days for moving furniture and floor but Micheal insisted they could do one day including moving the pool table. No surprise the installers were exhausted. They worked every second. They didn't speak English very good so communication was very hard. I sent messages to Micheal to make sure they are paid for 2 days not 1day as put in the work order. He always text me back. At the end my carpet is beautiful but please make sure the installers got want they deserve. Thank you

The one time I failed to look at reviews and here I am. Of course the sales person was super responsive the first 2 days, at least. After that, no call back, no text, no email, NOTHING. We can't even get a hold of anyone at the company. Our floor has been sitting this way (see pictures) for going on two-weeks now. The sales person explicitly said the floor would be completed the next day, here we are going on week 2 with no updates as to what happened or what's going on. I'm so glad I didn't have them complete my whole house...and WILL not be completing the rest of the house. If we do not receive resolution within the following week, I'm taking this even further. $3100+ for a small living room, uncompleted, doesn't sit well with me. Buyer beware, there's truth to these other reviews.

Vinyl plank flooring installed. When they showed up on Monday Jan 9th to start covering my things, they were not prepared. I was having ceramic flooring removed and replaced with vinyl plank. Very unprofessional that they were not prepared to cover my cabinets, windows, etc. as of course there would be endless fine dust. I took off a day from work and lost $300 because of it. I am STILL waiting to hear back since last week about being reimbursed for my lost time and the cost of having to get a plumber out here to reset a toilet. Also, the initial sales person never advised me about a warranty that I could purchase to protect my flooring from accidental damage. I received an email more than a week after my project was finished when I had only 5 days after completion, unbeknownst to me, about the warranty. After going through several people, an exception was made and I was able to purchase. Communication was not good from Day 1. I am, however, happy with the look of my new floor.

our consult went really smoothly. He understood my needs and had carpet selections for me to choose from. we set up an install day. The installer called early and arrived on time. We had Empire Today bring samples and provide a carpeting quote for three rooms. We liked the product and the price. The two installers moved our furniture and worked hard all day. Even though it was getting late they kept working and then put our furniture back in place. The installation was great and the installers were careful and polite. Thank you for such a good job!

The installation of my plank flooring was timely and very well done. However the carpeting was a whole different story. It was supposed to go in the following week, but they didn't show up for over a month. When they finally got here they had brought the wrong carpet. Getting them to come back took 8 MONTHS and the threat of legal action! Customer Service either didn't answer or didn't return my messages. Collections was johnny-on-the-spot when I stopped paying them until I explained that they hadn't finished the job according to the contract. When I finally left a message that my attorney recommended going to Small Claims court to recover the balance so I could have money for someone else to install carpeting Is when I got a call back from Customer Service. Two weeks later they did the carpet install. Although the job was well done, and the product was good, I don't think I would recommend them or ever do business with them again.

The floor looks awesome. But installation took 3 days instead of 1 day. Day 1 didn't finish floor. Understood that as it was 1 person. Day 2 ran out of flooring couldn't finish. Day. 3 came back finished the job. Spoke with Empire they apologized for the hassle and offered us a $50.00 credit. We accepted. Still haven't seen the credit. It's been over a week since I spoke with them and I have called 2 times and left a voice message and no call back and no credit. I guess once they get your money their not really worried about your satisfaction.***update*** I have been contacted by Empire and they gave us the $50.00 credit. Thank you Empire

I ordered Vinyl Flooring for our American Legion Post. I was given a delivery day for the next week and when the day came no flooring and no phone call. After calling multiple numbers I was informed that they didn't have the product and they would let me know when. Being an older building I asked for one of their installation contractors to come look at the flooring which they did and indicted that no additional work would be needed to remove the vinyl tile and lay the Vinyl planking. Finally the day comes and they do start the delivery and I checked and it was the right product. I left only to get a call later in the day that they loaded the product back on the truck and as delivery crew were told it was the wrong product, which it wasn't. At this time I called the salesman who I ordered through and he assured me that I would get a call from the Area Manager and the Installation Manager. I received no call from either. When I finally spoke with the installation manager she said we would have to close the Post for several days and sub flooring work would be required. I was never told we would have to close and they would do the flooring in sections and never was I told the sub floor would require additional work.Needless to say I cancelled and received my money back. These guys may be good at residential but they were the worse company I have ever dealt with on the commercial side. Little to no communications at all and it seemed they all pointed fingers amongst themselves for the problems. If you're a commercial business I would not recommend Empire Flooring at all.

We replaced old, awful, stained carpet and decades-old linoleum with LVT flooring. We got several quotes - most places, you have to install it yourself or find your own installer, and move your own furniture. Empire provided a competitive quote which included installation and furniture moving. They also had very fast availability for both product and labor (other places quoted 2-3 months just to get product). We did every room in the house, including baths and closets - about 1600 sf. The installers were INCREDIBLE - they worked really hard and completely finished the house in two days! The floors look AMAZING! We are SO pleased we chose Empire for this project and would not hesitate to recommend them. Thank you!!

I love the floors. I would NOT recommend this company though. We had to do all of the demo of the tile throughout my house after the demo guy said that he had to stop because my slab had issues. I paid a concrete company (after hours) to come and assess this. Nothing was wrong and the slab was find but I still had to pay them to dig holes in the slab to see if it was touching dirt. The install team came and never asked a question and started laying the floors. I was told by the customer service team, several times that I was getting a refund of $1600. Then when it finally gets to corp. for the refund they want receipts that I did the work. They know that they did not remove the tile. I have videos of us doing it. I shouldn’t have to show proof for me to get a refund.

Quality of product was good. Salesman was responsive and honest. We feel we got a good price. We still have not received the courtesy of a final walkthrough. If we do, we will update our review. Chipped our porcelain tile. Did not lay down any floor protection to cover existing areas that they were not working on. Left carpet shards all over our synthetic grass in the front of the house, presumably from cutting the carpet. Can't seem to get rid of it... we have a huge driveway, not sure why it's all matted into our grass. We can't blow it out due to the silica/sand and a broom isn't cutting it.

Just had luxury vinyl plank flooring installed in our home. We love it! It feels like being in a brand new place. The workers were pleasant and moved furnishings and installed the flooring quickly and did an excellent job.My only suggestion would be that if you don’t speak Spanish, as I don’t, you might consider using the Translater app on the I phone. We used it and communicated sufficiently to get everything handled. I even managed to learn a few words of Spanish.I would use Empire again.

This floor was installed April 2021, by January 2022 there were issues. Called and someone came out, saying they would have to tear up the whole floor to replace damaged boards, and to wait until they broke. Called when they broke and they claim the warranty is out (its a 10 year warranty). Horrible customer service, and don't stand behind their product or installation!

The installers did an excellent job of installing the carpet. It is perfect! Best I’ve ever seen. The quality of the carpet is also excellent! It makes the other carpet in my house look like cheap carpet! I would highly recommend getting their medium quality carpet which actually looks and feels like other company’s best carpet.

Installation was a nightmare. There was only one guy, and he essentially demolished our baseboards and some sections of drywall. When I complained and sent pictures of the damage, they came back with a crew that didn't include the original installer. Instead of replacing all the baseboards with the original, they put in new baseboards twice the size of the old ones. And they don't match the trim around the doors. I accepted the install just to be done with them.Unfortunately are a couple pieces of the flooring that snap and crack when walked on. I've been waiting 2 1/2 weeks to get this repaired, but the only thing I was told was that someone had to come out and assess the problem and could I give her the dates I'd be available for him to come over. I did, and that's the last I heard of it. That was on September 23rd.I used Empire several years ago and had a great experience, but this one was so awful, I would never use them again or recommend them to anyone.

There was an issue with measuring my house, they forgot to include a room. The gentleman who measured walked through the house with my wife and she observed him measuring the room. I live an hour from this home, so to have to drive out there to meet day 1 installers so they can start, driving back to sign off on them finishing, to be told they don't have enough carpet for the last room, having to talk to sales to get it corrected, and having to do all the drives again the next day was not ideal. The day one installers gouged the trim in one room with their cutter, there are three distinct cuts through it like they had been cutting the carpet on it. The second day installer cracked the corner piece of the baseboard and merely rested it back in place. I couldn't see these issues during the post-installation inspection as the contractors state that I have to sign for them to be paid. They did include the carpet and installation for the missed room at no additional charge, so that is good, but the overall experience doesn't merit more than 2 stars by any means.I highly suggest anyone seeking carpet installation that they contact a contractor instead of going through a company like Empire or Express flooring. The contractors are much harder to find but can save you a lot of money and headache. In response to the company response:The job is done and I shared my experience and satisfaction in this review fairly and honestly. I think it unfair to anyone who comes to Google to seek real experiences with your company if I were to allow you to persuade me to change it. Therefore, our business is done and I won't be in touch.

I purchase new carpet for 4 bedrooms someone came out and measured and scheduled installation at the time of installation not all bedrooms where completed because the measurements where not taken correctly needed to reschedule for the remaining carpet. 2 months later the carpet was coming apart let me tell know about submitting a claim it’s a whole run around if you ever go through this process request a in person inspection to avoid delays. My carpet was scheduled to be replace today and no show someone just called me to apologize. This company doesn’t keep there appointments there excuses are carpet not arrived or installer delayed.I missed work several times do to empire not sticking to there scheduling.

The salesperson was helpful and provided a product that we liked. The installation was timely and quite well done.I would refrain from buying the warranty insurance as we filed a claim and it was rejected immediately. We were told to take pictures and send them in and they would quote a price for them to come and repair the damage. NOT MY IDEA OF INSURANCE.

If there was an option for no stars, I would have given that. I had my a job with empire and it was carpet for most of my house and vinyl for my bathroom. They showed up promptly for the carpet and did a great job! The day came for the smaller vinyl job and they no showed on me! Even after calling half way through the day to check and I was told I’m on the schedule. I know stuff happens and Jerold was very nice so I rescheduled for Monday. Monday comes and I checked in again half way through the day and I was on the schedule. They no showed again! I didn’t want to reschedule after that and want to talk with a manager. Getting a floor manager is easy but an installation manager is another story. I was told Nick would call me in 24 hours… I waited 48 and called again! I even called Nick twice and left voicemails… nothing! I call back and talk with a floor manager who tries Nick with no avail so she sent an email to corporate office and said someone would call in 24 hours… NOTHING! I’ve been so patient but they only want to talk with someone who’s looking to spend money they don’t want to resolve issues! I just want my bathroom done and I don’t want to reschedule just to be stood up again! My husband has already missed two days of work to meet them before and they didn’t show. I’m disgusted with their customer service and their upper management who refuses to get on the phone with me!

Literally the WORST experience I have ever had with a company!! DO NOT use them. The sales rep made them seem great but in reality the company is awful! I had the day scheduled for install and they never showed up so I called later in the day to find out what was going on only to find out that they rescheduled me and never notified me. My entire house was taken apart along with my kids beds so that it would be ready for the install. They said someone would be in touch with me and they never called. We ended up calling and canceling because I am not going to put up with that poor customer service. I decided to go with another company who could get me in quickly.

Very expensive , but nice product. Installers were good. After talking with others it was by no means a lower cost option. Salesman talked us out of the competitive bid we had scheduled. I then got a bid from a different company , same product for LVP and high end Mohawk carpet. $6k less. They also include baseboards and said the curved baseboards would not be an issue. Will be more careful next time.

The ordering and selection was easy and simple. Empire uses contract installers. The ones that installed our flooring did a good job with how the flooring looked after the job was complete. We had uses with the installers showing up on time, working only a couple of hours a day and not meeting deadlines. A 2 day job took 5 days instead.

The floors look great and only took 3.5 days to blast out tile, rip out carpet and install flooring. I didn't realize that I bought linoleum because I was only interested in Luxury Vinyl planks. Walking on them is a different experience than what I had hoped.

Overall, I had a good experience. The installation of the carpet and vinyl planks went much easier than expected. There was some miscommunication about when the baseboards would be installed, so half of them were installed when the planks were installed. The carpet was then installed, but not the baseboards with the carpeted areas. It took a week and many, many phone calls to get Empire to call me back to install the remaining baseboards. Was slightly disappointed with that final installation, because when they moved my bed to install the baseboard they didn't check to make sure that it was okay. The support beams that go from under the bed slats to the floor were at an angle and almost broke. Luckily I caught it before much damage was done, otherwise I would have been out another $2k to replace my bed frame.

Worst company ever; I paid for a warranty, they made six different appointments to repair my flooring, and they never showed up. Every time I would call, they would escalate my call to the superior, be like oh, please give me another chance they never would come out and honor their word. I requested a refund on my warranty because I had to pay out of pocket for someone to repair my flooring, and they refused to give me a refund. I would not recommend this company to anybody because of they're a scam and just one customer's money.

The installers showed up on time and worked long hours; I'm not aware they even took breaks. They were friendly and professional. The floors are exactly what I wanted and look great.Unfortunately, none of them spoke English and the English-speaking project coordinator was not always available by phone. There was minor damage to walls and paint. Also, one of the toilets they installed immediately began leaking necessitating a plumber and hundreds of dollars in costs.

Overall our total experience has consisted of chasing people down for resolution to get the job complete. We were told next day install, but it took a week. We were told supply issue but they had plenty of supply brought on the initial day to complete the project. Lack of communication and follow-through would be reasons we would not recommend. The installers also continued to try to ask for additional money for other projects and tried to keep product.

Estimation, sales representative miss measured our stairs, came up short on the bull nose for the stairs casing. Took three and a half weeks to get the product in stock to finish our floors. Installation was spot on awesome job, outstanding. Costumer service was ok, but not great. Refunded some $$$, based on false Installation appointments and products being in stock for Installation. Would I recommend this company for flooring, I don't know. SMH

The installers were very prompt and did a nice job on the carpet installation itself. However, they came without equipment to move our furniture (no dollies or moving carts) and needed some of our tools. Not a big deal, but a bit surprising. Also, the amount of excess carpet and therefore padding was approximately 8 square yards. I know we paid for that material and labor, but it seems excessive and wasteful. There was no reduction in the price we paid, other than offering $50 off. Still no answer on what to do with the extra carpet. I am going to give to Goodwill since I don't want it going into a landfill.

ZERO stars. Had a simple staircase carpet install. Paid more then what I thought reasonable but believed them to be a reputable company. Installers left 2 holes in wall & chipped the paint & drywall up entire staircase. Also installed carpet pattern in a different direction on the landing. Weeks of no return calls, they finally came out to replace the landing carpet & stapled a piece of carpet over the holes! Again, weeks of no call backs and no response to emails. Was finally emailed to get someone to fix drywall and paint and they would reimburse. Absolutely no response since. Install date- NOVEMBER 27, 2021. Today July 12, 2022. Still not resolved. Next call, Better Business Bureau.Update: received call about a week after post. Person was very nice and assured me issues would be resolved. Had about three calls that week with her and was asked to resubmit all email correspondence and pictures. Then an email saying everything was on track to be resolved. It’s now been one month since last contact and again - not return calls or emails. Tomorrow will be the call to the Better Business Bureau.

1 First salesman's estimate was lost. Also, he did not return my calls.2 Second salesperson's estimate was higher.3 First installers didn't have all the supplies they needed.4 I spoke to Nick who said he would send someone out next day and would call me back. He didn't call.5 Second installers said they had defective glue.6 I spoke to Tracy about all the issues. She guaranteed the job would be done correctly the next day. She also said she would discount the job after all the problems, and she would call me the next day. She didn't.7 Final installers finally installed correctly.8 Still no call from Tracy about an adjustment.9 We had moved all the furniture into the kitchen the night before the first appointment. For three days we had nothing to sit on, could hardly get into the refrigerator and couldn't cook so had to eat out. We had people take off work to be there for these appointments. We would like an adjustment of one half of the contract price.10 I am still waiting for Tracy to call. If I don't hear from her by Monday I will call her again.

Overall end product is nice, I'm happy with how the carpet looks and feels. However getting it installed was a nightmare! We were scheduled for Monday, took everything out of two rooms over the weekend including my baby's crib. Got a call Monday that they needed to reschedule to Wednesday, I pleaded with them since my daughter now had no where to sleep safely. They promised me first thing on Tuesday....I had to track them down Tuesday around 11am because no one had showed up yet. They confirmed he would be there by 1pm and should take about 3 hours. One guy shows up at 1:20 pm, proceeds to take multiple cigarette breaks, is talking on the phone while installing the carpet, tried to put brand new carpet on the ground outside the day after a huge dust storm AND it took him almost 6 hours! The end product is nice and the salesman was nice, but the installation process really ruined it for us.

Had carpet installed . It real happy after they finished. Ut was test assured the seams would be Invisible. It’s a second home and so when I left came back after a couple months no one being in the unit. Until I noticed a lot of visible definite seams pieces that were pieced together. IThink the problem was more with the sales rep and it was the installer. It should’ve been explained that first of all the pattern was not wide enough and we would have seen it. But at the end it looked like they were tiny pieces big piece together and I did catch a couple of those now I walk in and it cycle seems everywhere I’m gonna call the company and see if they’re going to rectify anything as a specialist put money on that. I had with floors installed and never unit it had and they were fine. I’ve used empire in different states different places they’ve been just fine don’t know what happened this time .

Salesman was good and I found him through Facebook recommendations on a page run by a realtor in my area. Out of 10 recommendations he was 4 of them. The crew was really good at what they do and kept a clean work area. As with any project there were some lessons learned. Here are a few minor issues with our tile demolition/luxury vinyl plank install:1. Never got a quote with the per sq square footage price. I knew the total sq ft because I had a couple other quotes. Had to pay extra for foundation prep/leveling that I was not informed of the price until after the work was done. Most likely this was a communication barrier issue. Granted, I knew in advance this may happen but a heads up of how much it would be first, would of been best. The foundation did need extra prep for half of it, I watched him do it and it was necessary.2. If you have ceramic/porcelain tile removed DO NOT THINK YOU WILL BE ABLE TO WORK OR LIVE WHILE DEMO IS HAPPENING! Make sure you have a plan to only have one person there to watch. Luckily, I own a swamp cooler and have a covered back patio to sit on (it was still loud and dusty). I also have awesome neighbors that let my wife/dog be there during demo.3. Don’t believe anyone that says tile dust stays low to the ground, that’s BS it does not. You will have tile/mortar dust EVERYWHERE. While there is no way around this a heads up that you need to cover or move everything would of been nice.

Today we were scheduled for an install in my small business. I told the sales rep that Mondays are the only day that works for us, because we are closed on Mondays. So he scheduled installation of carpet for November 14, 2022. I paid my staff to come in and open the store for them. They waited until 1pm, and no one ever called or came in to do the work. So I called Empire. The first guy was great. He told me that the contact says 11-14-22 but somehow it was entered into the system as 11-18-22. I told him that the sales rep and I had agreed on the 14th. We never discussed any other day. He said that he would have someone contact me asap. No one ever did. So I sent my staff home, after paying them to sit at my store all day. Then I called back and a very rude, seemingly stoned employee answered. She was just a nightmare. She proceeded to lie to me and said they have sent me a text, and I didn't text to confirm... 1st problem with her lie is that the first person I spoke to didn't say that, so she made it up. And 2nd, I never recieved a text, phone call, or email. And she couldn't produce the evidence of such messages. She then proceeded to hang up on me. She is awful and I will be pursuing a formal complaint about her lack of service and awful attitude. I called again and another person answered. She was pleasant but the least helpful of all. I finally asked to be sent to a manager, and I was sent to a voice-mail box. I also called my rep, who sold me the carpet. He couldn't be bothered with calling me back. Needless to say, I am out pay for a staff member, and emptied and cleaned my store for nothing. Tomorrow I'll have to put my store back together without the carpet being changed and without Empire Today taking any responsibility for this problem they created. I am discouraged and disappointed. I wouldn't reccomend them to anyone. If they can reach out and take responsibility for this, I will update my reviews I just want the service I've already paid in full for as well as compensation for paying a staff member to be there when the contract agreed.Update! A very nice rep called me and was able to find good resolution. Thank you. I always appreciate a happy ending.Update. The installer came and it is unfinished. The rubber boarder is missing, the easement in the door is missing.and a part of the easement on the floor is missing. Additionally, They said they'd refund me $150al and they have not. The installer said he would be back Monday to finish and hdidn't. No one has even called to schedule to completion. Meanwhile, my store looks like a hot mess because the carpet is all jacked up. Please call me asap to remedy this.

Got new carpet for our master bedroom and just after a year it started bubbling up. Sales guy told me they'd come out and restretch the carpet anytime it was part of the lifetime warranty. Called to have them come out to restretch just to find out it's only covered the first year. Other carpet in the house has not bubbled in more than 5 years. Either poor quality of installation or poor quality of the carpet. Will not use the company again.

They were extremely dishonest in providing a quote, right out of the stereotyped used car salesman playbook. Their rep did a whole lot of calculations and gave me an “estimate” of $31,000. Then he did a whole lot of “talking to his people” to see what discounts they could give me before arriving at an estimate of $18,500 and change. When I got additional estimates from other companies that beat theirs, they went about a hundred bucks lower than the other company (who later reduced their estimate anyway). No thanks….I’d rather do business with someone honest from the start.

My floors and baseboards are barely a year old and are essentially ruined. The floors were sold as water resistant yet pet accidents and small spills have caused water intrusion all over the house. The baseboards were installed only primed which was never advised until AFTER I called about them staining. The supervisor acknowledged that this unfinished product isn't disclosed in our contract yet refuses to help. We're on the road to having to replace all our flooring and baseboards due to shotty contracts, greedy sales guys, and horrible service.

My luxury vinyl flooring was installed over a month ago. However the edges between tile and flooring installed have not been completed. No molding. Some molding around edges of walls notFinished. I went with empire because the sales person, Robbie said that the round edges of the tile wouldn’t be an issue. However, they now say they don’t have the material to use. No one returns my calls. Two friends have tripped on the raw edge of the tile. Very disappointed in Empire

This job was scheduled for a Thursday and got text and email confirming. The morning of the install got a text and an email stating it will now be Friday. So I called and they said they would get back to me but never did. So I called the sales lady and at least she helped and said it is going to be when scheduled. Then people showed up and I don't think they even knew they were doing stairs. Then they said we don't have enough staples. So they left and came back 2 hours later. They got down to the last 5 stairs and the staple gun quit working. But they had another one at home.(why wouldn't you have it with you). So they had to come back the next day to finish. So had to take 2 days off of work for this.Noticed the at least 4 stairs the pattern was a crooked. They said the stairs were crooked so they couldn't make it look straight. Then noticed that 2 of our tiles were chipped and they didn't say anything. Also, on a few stairs there are dimples probably from the staples but that is unacceptable. The cleanup was the worst. All they had was a dust pan and a broom. So after they left I basically had to do the cleanup myself. All baseboards etc were left dirty. Wouldn't recommend this company if this is how they do business.

He didn't want to do 1/4 round or pull off and replace the baseboards. He finally did pull them off after we called the sales guy for guidance. But, I have two rooms where he just laid the tile alongside the baseboard. So, not ideal. He was supposed to take 1 day but after we let him know he needed to do the job the right way, it took two. He didn't redo the ones he already laid.Carpet was no problem.

Dealing with trying to get my floors fixed after the flooring separated. After 5 months of trying to get someone to finally come out and replace them they still aren’t right. Installers did damage to my house again. Again fighting and waiting for someone to get back to us after reporting the issue. Salesperson kept saying I’m throwing this in for free. Well when an issue came up of something that was free we didn’t even need they credited us few hundred dollars that we were charged. So how was that free. Don’t like the pressure sales tactics of need a decision right now. The sale going on for other rooms for $50 wasn’t true.

As much as they try to make it customer friendly with calls/emails/text before and after appointment. They don't care. It's all just a #s game between departments. With that said, reason for the 1 star is them not sticking with their word on the warranty. Inspector offered and assured warranty would be covering any damages. Call, send photos, then it's a no can do, but we can send one to reinstall at the same overprice. Do not use.

Quoted 10k for carpet upstairs, in the contract it states “removal of old vinyl flooring and install of carpet.” They installed the carpet over the old creaky vinyl flooring, paid the charge for removal and disposal and it was not done. Doors also don’t fit now as the floor sits to high so I will need to trim down the doors. Even-though it says in the invoice and our signed contract. We have had nothing but bad luck with business and was severely disappointed in this “reputable” business that is clearly cutting corners and charging their customers for things that are not done. I wish I wasn’t so ignorant with flooring install as I put too much trust into a company that walks away from you as soon as they get their money.

I hired Empire to replace my stair case carpet, the technician lacked communication regarding when he would arrive and did not contact me all day. The tech came to my home at 6:30pm and began to work to later inform me he did not have enough material to complete the job at 11pm at night. This was intended to be a one day job and was not completed until 3 days later, management did not respond to my complaint until 3 weeks after the job was completed. They took measurement and photos prior to me selecting my carpet of choice there was no reason to arrive unprepared. I would not recommend this company

I was very impressed with their sales cycle, quick and efficient. Our Carpet installation was great. The vinyl product itself was of high quality. However, our vinyl installation was very disappointing. Air pockets, poorly cut and installed edges (both the vinyl and the baseboards), missing caulking under the toilets, and door strips fell out or were poorly glued down. I was told we would get their Class A installation team. The follow-up to communicating our concerns was three different versions of you need to call here.I wish I had reviewed this company on google reviews first. I'll only provide two stars because the initial installers were decent. I was told that there was no quarter round available and no base board to replace damage boards when they finished the floor install. Then I get a call 2 weeks later that the quarter round is in nothing on the baseboard, so an install was scheduled. On the day it was scheduled the installer no call now show all week long into the following week repeated phone calls to empire yielded no results. The kicker he picked up the material, so what is the issue? I have filed and complaint with the better business bureau, and at this point based on the contract, which they are now in violation baseboards were repair and replaced the flooring included quarter round to match floors. They had no problem taking over 22k but have an issue with integrity and job completion. I will seek all options should this not get resolved. Beware of these guys and focus on all reviews better companies out there.

My experience was not very pleasant the first crew showed up with no carpet to install. So it was rescheduled the following scheduled installation day waited all day received no calls and no one showed up talked to dispatcher 6pm that Friday night she said she would try to contact installer for possibly install on sat she also stated she would have her manager contact me. I received no call sat or sun. Monday I text sales person dispatcher and left voicemail. Before any reply a installer showed up no call or text said he wanted to install but only if he could go over existing laminated flooring. The contract I signed the week prior stated the laminated floor was to be removed. I just let them install it over the flooring just to be done with it !!!!!!

Grout wore out within a year (a good grout should last at least ten years) I requested repair the day after the one year warranty ran out and then wanted to charge me $350 to fix a few holes. Absolutely insane.

The work that was completed met our expectations. After completing the laminate flooring. The office called and said our carpet installation that was scheduled for the next day could not be installed until another 6 days. The job was agreed to be completed before my wife returned home by the end of the week. I had canceled the carpet installation for that reason.

Don't consider using this company! Read ALL the reviews because you will experience it too. I had a great consult and felt good about contracting for $4000 for carpet installation. The day before installation I get a random call stating that my carpet didn't make it on the truck which is a lie because I scheduled with plenty of time to ship. I was told I would be accommodated the very next day for first thing in the a.m. for delivery from 8-10:00. I called the company the next day (my rescheduled install date) at 11:30 to see when to anticipate them and they said we can't seem to get a hold of the delivery dispatch people, but we left two voicemails. So I then received a call from the woman I had my consult with telling me more lies! Now the story changes to well the carpets came from two separate rolls and they might have a little variation of color to them, if that's ok we can still come today, or we can order the correct item you paid for and put you out another couple of weeks. Mind you I've already torn my house apart to paint in anticipation, and taken now 2 days off from work living in chaos at home. I then called at 5:00 to see if I can an ETA again and was then was told it was moved to the next day without even telling me!!!! I've read through my contract understanding that they are crooks that make sure to cover their butts for situations like these, and needless to say I'm not pleased. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS SHAM COMPANY

Pretty great for the most part except the salesman assured me everything was in stock due to them not having brick and mortar stores and having their own warehouse. This was not true and I had to wait nearly a month for baseboards. Very frustrating. My installer, Phillipe, was the only one that followed up to get them. He is why I’m giving 4 out of 5 stars! Customer service was useless in understanding and/or helping to get them installed. They never even followed up on my call, but they called me every single day to tell me they would install carpet that had already been installed. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing in this company. However, once it was all installed it was beautiful and everything they promised

The carpet is nice but to get to this point was an ordeal. The day they were suppose to install they were a no show. Manager never called us back. Sales rep should have followed up with us after all the issues. We did negotiate a discount for our inconvenience . The guys who finally came to install were contracted but were excellent.

Arrived at rental townhouse in Arizona on Thursday evening and the carpets were filthy and ruined. I called Empire and was told if I picked carpet in-stock it could be installed as soon as next day. The woman on the phone said to ask about the promotions & sales because those carpets are always in-stock so they could install it the next day. The salesman arrived the next morning (Friday) and said it can be installed Tuesday. I asked how about Monday and his response was Tuesday which is different from what I was initially told. He measured the rooms, I picked an in-stock Tribeca Berber carpet and by the time he gave me a bid he said oh now it says Wednesday. Tuesdays schedule must be full but I’ll talk to my manager and see if they can come Tues since the unit is empty. I’ll let you know today. After many texts and phone calls by me Friday eve, Sat, and Mon, he finally responded Monday night that it would be Wednesday. This response was after the 72 hour cancellation period had passed. Very frustrating! Also when I asked about the promotion (pay one room, 2nd room $50 plus labor), he said he gave me the best deal. $4,250 for 1,100 sq ft of carpet installed. Is that a good deal? Who knows? I feel mislead and taken and won’t be using their services again.

Chaotic Operation. Customer Service Dept hardly ever answers calls. The carpet installer they used forgot to bracket the wardrobe closet doors on the bottom so they don't wiggle, and despite assurances that he would return to fix the problem, as of today, he has broken 2 promises and hasn't called to reschedule. Meanwhile, they collected all the money owed them for the job in advance before they started work. One can't report any problems to the local office because they won't answer the phone.

The whole process was top notch. Salesperson brought us great samples and explain to us everything we needed to know including information about the padding under the carpet. The installers were excellent! Luis, Edwardo and Victor were highly skilled, very conscientious, and pleasant. The installation went well and the carpet is beautiful. The price is competitive and the installation time from the time I first called until it was completed was less than a week... And that was only because I had to get some things done prior to them coming so I had to delay it a bit. I highly recommend Empire Today?

Our sales guy was amazing. However that is where the good review ends. Our installers did not speak English very well and were unable to communicate with us. Our sales guy said we did not need to take up our trim because there was a big enough gap that they would be able to place the flooring down under it. Then the installer said that we had too and they wanted to charger us another $500 for trim. When we tried calling the office and customer service no one would answer. At one point I called 15 times and received no answer. The carpet guy showed up to install on the same day as demo. He had to be rescheduled to come out the following week. Then he came at the same time as the other installers and they bickered with each other while putting my husband in the middle of it. I am extremely disappointed with their service and will not recommend them to anyone.

Extremely disappointed. We had carpet and luxury vinyl plank installed in June 2020. The crew that did the vinyl plank was incredibly professional and did an excellent job. The carpet installers, not so much. They took far longer than we were told and clearly didn't complete the work. We immediately called out the seams in the carpet and all the transitions. They came back the following day to repair them and assured us that they would be fine, but they weren't. They had to come out a second time a few days later, and said everything would settle with time. Empire told us not to worry because if we had any issues after a year, they'd follow up anyway and the seams were normal. Well, every single room entry has carpet bunching and needs to be stretched. We've made 25+ calls, left countless voicemails and emailed too many times to remember and never got a reply with someone that knew what was going on or that could even find our order. I finally scheduled an install just to talk to someone, who actually seemed helpful. Hopefully, she comes through, otherwise I'm going to have to make an in-person trip to the shop directly to find someone who can help. So incredibly frustrating!

This was the most expensive and worst experience I’ve had with a larger company. Long story short is I had ordered carpet to be installed upstairs in my home. Took me a week by myself to move all furniture and belongings downstairs: I was told the day before install to move everything large into the bathrooms and master upstairs so install would be smoother..I got a text confirming install the day before. Welllllll they never showed up on install day after our showers and bedroom was rendered useless from being jammed with stuff. I had to call them to see what was going on. The salesman had the install manager call me. He told me they did not have the carpet which was a lie. Not only did the Saleman confirm in stock but it was confirmed the day before install they would be there. Then the salesman texted me and told me 6 install crews did not show up for work that day. So there were 6 other installs that didn’t happen as scheduled. We had to wait the whole weekend and move everything out of bathrooms and bedrooms again so we could sleep and shower. Then Monday comes install crew shows up short handed and said that we were never scheduled on Friday we were scheduled today(Monday) then I was told by them install would take 2 days but I was promised it would be all in one day. End of story I was only offered 300.00 off a 6 thousand dollar job with no apologies ????

Still waiting two weeks for the job to be finished. Have 4 boxes of wood flooring and trim sitting in my foyer. First two days of install were fine, looking good. Third day the installer just threw it together. Not finished, glue globs all over the floor. Steps were thrown on with glue seeped out and gaps, loose trim. Have called customer service and can’t get anyone to call me back. Would not recommend using this company because they do not finish or follow up.

Mesa Empire Today, you've pestered us over and over to write a review. With so many 1 star ratings, it's a wonder you'd ask.Well then, here we go. Our title would be: NEVER EVER AGAIN. See, we were so excited the last day you left, that we decided to finish the job ourselves rather than ask you to do it. That's a big $15,000+ gone.Homeowners, if you're considering using Mesa Empire, PLEASE DON'T.The details of our disappointing job make us sick to recall anything. You can read the 1 stars, clump nearly all of them together and you'll experience our job.Suffice it to say: We urge you to choose another flooring company, before you, too, find yourselves drowning in a world of vacant promises, non-stop lies and multiple unskilled crews who completely lack common sense.Seriously, don't do it. Don't fall for any of it.

STAY AWAY!!!!! If I could give negative stars I would!!!!! My husband and I had just moved into our new home and decided we want the floors redone so we contacted Empire they came they gave us a quote of $8,400 and after it was all said and done it says the biggest headache and biggest mistake I could ever imagine going through! The installers for horrible barely spoke English destroyed my home left it in disarray did a mediocre job of installing my floorin,g broke my couch. I had to call an AC company because they left my doors wide open and the AC going. I had to climb in and out of my own personal Windows because I had no access to exits or my kitchen for two out of the four days they were here which they were only supposed to be two and a half days that they were in my home working. They had unauthorized people in my house. They were not professional and no way shape or form were respectful and after it's all said and done that's just the installers. The actual Empire today flooring company have not resolved anything I filed complaints I am now dealing with corporate and had to report them to the better Business bureau just for them to establish any sort of responsibility and the offer of fixing the solution did not even cover the cost of my sectional that they had broke that nobody informed me that they had broke. STAY AWAY!!! stay away from this vile company!!!!

The installers spoke little English and wanted me to sign blank pages acknowledging the job was complete. They taped over the transitions between the vinyl and tile and when I removed the tape, days later, I found large spaces under the vinyl. They had used the wrong transition strips. It took several days of calling and emailing to get a response, then over a month for them to return to install the correct transition strips.I guess I had expected more from a national company. I wouldn’t use them again because of my experience but also because I don’t feel that their products were any better than other flooring stores.

The $50 a room deal is a joke because labor is marked up 1000% . We already knew we wanted vinyl flooring, but they only had 5 or 6 to choose from and wouldn't do the job if we chose to buy the one we liked somewhere else. You can't comparison shop because they tell you the estimate is only valid if you sign the contract right then and there. No pressure at all lol

STAY FAR AWAY from this company. We have tried to get someone to fix all the problems that we had after the installation but no one will call us back. First they were supposed to take all the flooring out then instead started installing the flooring over the existing tile. They had a big portion done when I came back to see the progress which after going back and fourth they ended up tearing everything out and restarting the installation. They went over the time frame they gave and the installation was horrible. The floor is uneven, it cracks in places when walking on it, they swapped my kitchen and bathroom cabinet bottom pieces so there is big gaps at the bottom showing under the cabinets, big gap in bathroom that is also uneven can’t fix between shower and flooring, the planks are starting to separate, and horrible job at putting molding back with quarter round not cut correctly.

I'll start with the positive, the carpet installers were great. Now for the bad: The flooring guys not so much. While the end result is good, the process was painful. They finished the bulk of the work on Friday, the flooring was down everywhere except the master bathroom. They poured the leveling compound in the master bathroom and left for the day. So we had leveling compound in the master bathroom for the weekend. We were originally told they would be returning Monday morning about 0700-0730. I then notified it would be about 0800-0830. Then told again it would now be 0900-0930. So finally about 1000, they returned to finish the rest of the work.It was on Monday when I spoke to Isra, the supervisor I think, and told him I was not happy with the pavers being covered in compound. He sad he had a friend that could powerwash them. Guess the friend couldn’t make and told him to use acid to clean the pavers, which actually did more harm than good. Now my brand new pavers have had the top layer scrubbed off and they are totally discolored from the acid and stick out like a sore thumb.I did get a call from customer service Sonya M Romero, who at the time did seem interested, I sent her photos and everything else on the 19th of Aug, and that was the last time I heard from here. I have sent numerous emails and calls, but she seems quite good at ignoring them. I can't get anyone to return calls or emails.I will never recommend Empire to anyone for anything. Customer Service, to put it bluntly, SUCKS!!!!!

Install was great on my vinyl plank. I pulled the cabinets before the install so the flooring could go all the way to the wall and they didn't have to use a 1/4 round to cover where the cabinet meets the flooring. Added about 48 sq. feet to the total job less a credit for the 1/4 round and less cutting. Empire is trying to charge me for 90 sq. feet at a high cost and threatening collections and legal. I paid 16,168 the total contract price and the sales person won't return my calls. I tried to get this straightened out before the install but no one would return my calls.UPDATE- Made a deal with the sales manager. Paid. Now a month later they are calling me for more funds.

The installation was scheduled weeks in advance as we were only going to be there for a few days in the beginning of August. I received a phone call and text saying that everything was Okay and that I would receive a phone call the day of installation. Well, about 10 AM on the agreed date, I received a text saying that the installation was cancelled until the next day! I called and requested information as to why they could NOT install when scheduled and was told that it was too bad but it could only happen the next day. We had do leave so I gave them his number and he spent the day at the house receiving contradicting messages about when and if the installation would happen. Finally at about 4 PM the installer showed up, BUT without any carpet! So the installation was delayed yet another 2 days while Empire figured out why the carpet was not delivered properly.I will NEVER EVER use Empire again. The prices are expensive, the service is terrible and the communication is abysmal.

REVIEW EDIT: And once again, as to be expected, Empire failed to stand by their word. It's been 48 hours since their response to my review that a rep would be in touch tomorrow, and to no surprise not one single rep from Empire has attempted to reach out to me via email or phone call. Again, they cannot follow through and make good on their word or their projects/jobs. Again, buyer beware and DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH EMPIRE!Do not do business with Empire! This is the worst company ever to hire! Once they have completed the job they're simply done with you. They deny all warranty claims placing blame on the customer for their reason. Customer service also refuses to return any calls or emails. Empire do not deserve even 1 star rating.

The customer service is terrible with this company I wish I would have read the reviews prior to going with them, they've tried to schedule us 3 different times which we've made ourselves available for then nobody showed up to the house and nobody calls to tell us that they're not showing up. The baseboards are still incomplete or spliced together when there should have been full sticks used of baseboard on the walls that they did complete. If you ever expect a phone call from them don't hold your breath because they will never call you back even though they tell you that they will. We are very disappointed and would never recommend this company to anybody. We filed a complaint with customer service and was promised a call within 48 hours and have yet to hear from anybody with this company. Hoping to get our job completed so we can move on with the rest of our remodel. Install was over 2 months ago and since then I have had 0 contact with anybody because they will not return calls.

Salesman Tod was very knowledgeable and helpful about product, however he did not explain the service plan I was charged for and later cancelled. Installers did a good job installing the carpet, however questioned the padding sent - which was correct for the berber carpet being installed. The big complaint I have and the reason for 4 stars is a lack of communication in regards to almost every facet of this transaction. It was very hard to reach anyone by phone and some of those I did reach were totally lacking in their answers.

Quick and easy. I had a consultation on a Monday and my new floors installed on a Friday. It was an easy job, one room that just needed the carpet pulled out and LVP put down. I was told not to get the floor wet for 24 hours, but above that, there wasnt much else given to me regarding the flooring. There are a few areas where the flooring wasnt cut evenly where the baseboard will go, but I am hoping it wont be seen once my baseboards come in.

Paid nearly $1300 (1/2 down) only for the so-called installer to LEAVE because they weren't aware that the job required removal of the old carpet (this fact is in the contract). Empire really needs to un-screw their situation. This particular installer that came out is absolute garbage and a reputation wrecker. I would break ties immediately.1st edit: Finally got through to the right department after numerous calls. Shame that they promised to call and reschedule but I had to do their footwork to come to a resolution. I'll revise when the install is completed. Still not happy with this transaction.2nd edit: Appointment for yesterday 6/18 was completely missed. No call. No explanation. Done with this transaction. Reporting to ROC tomorrow if I don't get a call with an explanation.3rd edit: Called 3 different numbers and finally got the right person that could process a refund request. Refunds come out of Illinois by check so if you have any issues that require a refund, be aware that it may take a few days.

You get what you pay for... We were on a time crunch and Empire was able to come in the day after we closed on our new house to install new floors so we went with them. The install team was nice and friendly but the quality of the work is subpar.. We have Vinyl Planks that are coming up our top step and baseboard have not been reinstalled yet. The install team promised the piece the ordering team incorrectly ordered would be in a shortly but that was 3 weeks ago. The sales man was very nice and said customer service would be all over anything we needed... Well I can't get ahold of someone in customer service it sends me directly to a voicemail every time i call and i have left multiple messages. I reached out to my sales man and as expected he advised he doesn't handle customer service issues only sales but he would send an email. But i guess the quality of work from all businesses is not what it used to be anymore so you're just stuck dealing with subpar work, until you make enough noise you get someones attention.

I’m so happy with the empire process and our new carpet. Robbie came out to give us an estimate and take all the measurements. I booked the appointment online and got a confirmation right away. She was prompt and worked with us on the prices. I told her we needed the carpet done asap since I’m due with a baby any day and only wanted instock options. She brought great options and helped us pick a beautiful carpet for our home. She was also able to get instillation scheduled for just a week after the estimate was done. The insulation went great. They moved all our big furniture carefully and moved it all back. They showed up at 8am and finished around 630pm. We had about 1600 sqft of carpet to do. One guy did the entire downstairs himself and he did a great job. Zero damage to our walls or base boards and you cannot see any seems. They vacuumed and cleaned up all the old carpet and debris. I’m so happy we went with empire so we could have new carpet before the baby arrived.

We had the carpet replaced in our basement and thestairs. Not a good job at all. All the seams show andthe closet with the ejector pump and sump pump isunfinished. The installers couldn't even figure out howto lay the carpet around the pump wells. I had to drawthem a picture. The cutouts for the wells are not flushwith the edge nor are they glued down. They also tooka chunk of drywall out of the wall. I text my salesmanand all he did was give me an 800 number. I called thenumber and asked to schedule a service request andwas told I would be contacted in 1-3 business days. After 5 days I called again and was told that I would geta call. Still no call after another 3 days. After another call, I finally received a call back and scheduled someone to come out and look at the work. The person told us he couldn’t fix it because he didn’t install it, and maybe some else would come back and look at it. Basically a waste of time and still haven’t heard back from them. I work in sales and I personally would follow up with my customer to make sure everything was taken care of. Our salesman apparently doesn't care. All that matters is they got their money$$$

I rarely review a business online, however, since I am not one of their 3 million satisfied customers I am going to do so in this case. After submitting their online form for service, I waited 3 weeks for a response and then only after 3 phone calls. We were given a date for the repair people to ome but they never showed up nor did they call. My wife and I had moved everything out for them to no avail. We are 79 years of age so this is a major task for us. After several phone calls they finally called us and set up another appointment. Once again, no show no call. After attempting 14 times to contact them again they answered and said someone would call us within 24 hours. 96 hours later no phone call. We did get someone else to fix our carpet. This person doesn't sll carpeting only repairs and stretching. He showed us several instance where empire screwed us on material and installation. We originally bought carpeting from Empire in the 1970's and were very happy. I would recommend this company to no one including my worst enemy. Terrible terrible customer service.

I am not pleased at all with the installation of the vinyl flooring. I was told by the sales rep that came to the house for the estimate that they would be putting a substance down over the tile and to fill in the grouting and then put the vinyl plank over that. When the installer came he said I did not need to have that stuff put over the tile and just proceeded to put down the vinyl plank. Wondering if I was charged for that and never did receive it. Also the transition strips are terrible they are lifting after three days. I would like somebody to get hold of me and get somebody out here to fix this . Also the installer took back all the extra vinyl planks. Did I actually pay for those

THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!! ( Story below)Salesman - once they get done lying to you and you sign the paperwork they are useless and you are dead to them. I was told my 900sq ft install job would be done next day…I am now on day 5 not counting the weekends (I will be nice) and my floors are still not done.Day 1 - was told installers will be there first thing in the morning, I call 2 hours after scheduled time and was told one more hour. After 2 more hours I am told they had car problems and won’t be coming at all. Glad we got the house all in a disarray for nothing.Day 2 - only 4 hours late, did not finish be back tomorrow to finish. They weren’t told they would be doing any stairs as it wasn’t on the job ticket….Day 3 - shocker late - so I call, back in forth with phone calls that go nowhere, installers don’t show.Day 4 - LATE….which leads to them staying til past 9 pm as we are desperate, just get this done so we can have our house back. DID NOT FINISHDay 5 - which I am living as I write this review… after telling installers to be back at 9am next day they don’t show. I call at 10:30, give us 30min-1hr. I call back at 1pm what’s going on? Told my order has been placed in a cancellation period and no install was scheduled today? Earliest we can come back out would be in 2 days?!?!? Asked how this happened and all I was told was, not sure, we can have someone call you in 24 hours LOLSave your money and save your time, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! Anywhere, no communication, you talk to anyone at Empire you get different answers. This has been a nightmare to say the least.

Do Not purchase carpet from this janky company. You will definitely regret it. Our carpet isn't even 5 year old yet and there are bubbles everywhere in every room The carpet is suppose to last 30 years. But by the way the carpet has held up... I doubt the carpet will last another 5 years. We've had the carpet stretched twice in 1 place and that place requires another stretching. Stretching cost has increased from $75 to $200 to $225... Per room. Called and asked, who is the carpet maker in order for us to call and ask questions about carpet... There was no record of the type of carpet purchased. Which makes us to believe cheaper carpet was installed. Now let Me say, if You the one reading this... Do Not have Empire Today install your carpet and Do Not purchase carpet from Empire Today. Truth be told, think Empire Today hired outside resources to install carpet. The fellas who came to the house looked nothing like the guys on television or the folks sent to your home with carpet samples. Awful simply AWFUL.

The saleswoman that came to our house was incredibly rude. She didn’t have the style of carpet I was looking for in the color I needed. When I told her I didn’t see one that would work, she literally stalked out of my house and slammed the door. I have never worked with a more unprofessional sales person in my life. The carpets she showed me were also very low quality. Most suitable for a rental type property. I called their corporate office to talk to a manager and no one ever called me back. Very poor service.

The flooring was done ahead of schedule and looks good. I feel that the repeat pattern could have been better done. To many identical panels side by side.2nd review after 30 to 45 days after install. 2 problems with the floor, have been trying to get issues fixed but getting run around for 2 weeks. May contact cc company to complain and reverse payment.

Please do not do business with them this was a headache they told me someone would call at 10 AM to let me know what time they would be coming. There was no call I called multiple times the customer service team was very rude. The salesman stated it's because they will move on locations but at the end of the day that's not my issue. When the installer came he did not have a badge, company shirt come on Empire customer safety, representation it will help in the future. He pulled up my carpet to only show me later that this was not hardwood flooring but a Laminate flooring. They stated it would be two people there was only one and at 8:46 at night he told me he would not be done until 11pm. I tell you to run and run fast or do it yourself. For the time I could have did it with my kids from 1:46 until 8:46 to learn it will take him to 11pm so would have been a better experience and it would not be cheap laminate. I will call tomorrow and see if their will be any compensation due to all of these issues but, base on the realtionship with them today I am not thinking this message will change. Glue and spacing bewteen the product in the wall. My son told me this morning that he did not leave the installer until 11:46 PM that is way too late you might as well just not call them because that is a shrinley not the experience that you want

Had the quickest estimate; it was also the lowest cost. Installation was the most efficient and precise I've ever seen. Two guys did it all in less than 5 hours, mored all furniture, removed old, laid new, no breaks, left no mess, put everything back, and did outstanding job. Nice!

Installation was in 2019. Requested service 62 days ago. Not scheduled yet. I have made 7 additional calls. Never talk to the same person twice. I received three different customer ticket numbers, given priority status and had my information sent to the corporate office. I have been promised a return call within 24 hours up to 3 days. Never happened. Usually get transferred to a message machine or somehow disconnected. It's a simple job that still hasn't been scheduled. After they get your money they are clearly done with you. Save your money and your mental health...go somewhere else.

The installers would not move any of the furniture and instead watched my son-in-law, who is handicapped and an amputee, move everything out and back. This resulted in putting him in extreme pain for days. They also forgot they spoke English after the first hour. Calling the customer service does no good as nobody calls you back. The owner says he.will contact you in 1 day. A month later I’m still waiting. Horrible company

I am very disappointed, in the morning i requested that quarter round be installed over the base board. some came in a few hours later and told me that removing the base board would be better and had me initial paperwork. I was under the impression that quarter round would be installed after the base board was placed back. 2nd there was water damage inside my closet, due to too much water.when embossing leveler/skim coat of patch used. there was a puddle of water/ patch on one end of my living room Wich leaked over into the master bedroom and bathroom. I called the supervisor as soon as the installer completed the work and left a message for him to call me back, never heard back from him. the following day I called customer service and spoke to Yolanda G, she sent out an email to Bob S. stating to contact this customer at your earliest convenance, regarding the install... no one ever called me back.

Awful!! Every step of this debacle was painful. After the salesperson sold us the service and product, he was out the door. We were promised a delivery date. I took off from work. No one called to tell us that they didn’t have the product. They rescheduled and did not show up again!! Finally, when they showed up to install, they ran out of baseboard and transition strips ( the salesperson was supposed to measure with a 10% overage). I could not get a hold of their service department and no one ever returned my call. After you call and are waiting on hold they hang up, every time.I had the installers phone numbers They never returned my calls. You have to call and select that you would like an estimate for new flooring. Then like magic they answer the phone. They finally sent over a crew to finish up. We had to call them back because there were several things that had to be redone. This was a 12,000 dollar nightmare.

We had carpet done throughout the entire house! The work was done on June 26th I called Empire to let them know that the seams were very visible, and there was a burn mark in the corner of the bedroom.I got one call from BoB the guy that runs the phx location. He said visible seams are poor installation/the burn mark is probably from the tool they use,he said e.mail me pictures and we will get back to you! I have left a message everyday with his office and spoke to a supervisor with not one answer.I have never seen such disregard from a company.I own a small company and would never treat my clients like Empire has treated us.I also have alot of wealthy clients who own many rental properties and would have also used Empire for all flooring but they will no longer be using their services.

Well, noone called...at 10 am this morning I called Empire and discovered our install date was moved to the 17th?! Hubby got on the phone with Mike again, who told him they would be coming at 11:00...well at 12:30 we got a call from a crew supervisor who said he would be coming in the morning. Was anyone ever coming over to do our floors? And when? We are taking our business elsewhere.

We used Empire Dec 2021 and for the most part jad a good experience. The salesman that came out was personable and not rused. He also didnt try to upsell us other than displaying an array of options above and below our price range. But he wasnt pushy about it. His on glitch was that he forgot to tell us the payment wpuls be taken in phases. We had a mix of carpet and vinyl plank and we had to scramble a bit when the 2nd crew showed up. We thought the full amount had been taken when the 1st crew showed up. They use contractors and 1 crew does carpet, the next does the vinyl plank. Both crews were actually pretty cool. My only gripe is in defence of the vinyl plank guys. They went 1st for a couple days and then the carpet guys came in. But the carpet guys refused to attach the vinyl seals between the carpet and the plank flooring. They said that is the job of the vinyl plank guys.. who were done and gone 2 days before the carpet guys and could not have sealed their flooring to the carpet. When the vinyl guy was leaving the 1st time he told me the carpet guys would likely not attach the strips he was leaving and to let him know if they did or did not. Its absurd that he had to drive all the way back out to our house just to do that. We live way out in Tonopah. But he came with no complaints and did what needed to be done. My gripe is that if this is a common scenario, why the heck would the vinyl guys be scheduled BEFORE the carpet guys? Thats just poor logic and planning on the part of Empire to send out guys 1st that need to complete the last part of the project. That should be fixed. Carpet 1st always when 2 floorings are going in because those guys wont attach the 2 flooringa together. Yoir vinyl amd tile guys are kinda getting screwed. As it was I work from home so no problem on scheduling but that must be a pain for other customers to have to schedule around that to be home. Quality of product and craftsmanship seems fine.

Just had a rep here that was EXTREMELY rude and condescending. The quote was TRIPLE than all our other quotes. After we were given the quote, the rep said well. We stated that the price was too high and then he said absolutely nothing, packed up and walked out. Didn't even say good by or have a nice day. It was obvious he didn't want to be working. Our experience with Empire Today was very good.....from the start point - meeting with the sales rep; he was very knowledgeable and followed through with our order. The installers did an excellent job, were very professional, polite and on time. We would highly recommend Empire Today to anyone!!

Showed up to install the carpet with one guy. They were supposed to move the furniture which we had moved out everything except the bed and 3 dressers. The one guy couldn't do it alone so we ended up moving all the furniture. Halfway through I looked into the room and noticed that he had installed the wrong padding underneath and had to have him uninstall it and put the correct one in. If I hadn't caught it then we would'nt have gotten the padding we paid extra for. Had called the office at the beginning regarding the furniture problem and was given some money off and told by the office staff that they could only give me so much off and it really isn't anything but they guess we could get dinner with the amount. Extremely unprofessional. Once finished noticed a seam present in the carpet as well as 2 black spots (the carpet installed was white). Tried to point them out to the installer but he did not understand then had to show the installer where everything need to be signed on the paperwork because he couldn't read it. Emailed pictures of the problems and have had no response. Awful experience.

I needed carpet done fast and they were able to accommodate me. The install went fine, but cleaning up after themselves wasn't done completely. They are also very expensive, but like I said, I needed it done fast. I would not use them again if I can avoid it.

The worst service I've ever had. Installers show up on a Saturday to install tile. They start the process and then notice that they didn't have the transitions to the other rooms so I went out and purchased them so they could continue working. They told me that they probably wouldn't be able to get it done on Saturday and I knew that we were closed on Sundays so it asked him if they could please finish and pay them some extra money. Sunday they come back and then they found out they were out of flooring. The installer said it's common they don't always put enough product on their vehicles and there's nothing they can do on the weekend they would get back to me. I called numerous times Monday Tuesday Wednesday always got the same answer someone will call you in 24 hours never received phone calls. Then out of the blue the installers called me say they're going to be at my location in 30 minutes we were open for business I had to shut down half of my business and lost money. And no one ever called me to schedule very frustrated with this company after the fact I have emailed them I have called them and they still don't have the guts to call me all they have is a bunch of excuses I would not recommend this company to anyone. After 2 weeks I've decided to do a chargeback on the other half of it to get their attention and also the money that I have lost that they never offered to pay. Again I do not recommend this company I wish I would have read the reviews beforehand it seems like it's an ongoing situation. ***4/17/20223 UPDATE TO YOUR REPLY TO EMAIL:*** i have and was passed around and on the final response the rep was making NO sense and seamed like a scripted email response and I asked to have them call me directly and have had no reply since 3/28/2023.

Met with Jim Silva to start the process. On time. Had a great selection of samples for my mother to choose from. Installer was on time and did a great job. Cleaned the floor before he left. Looks great and mom is happy.

6 hours total work to install but installers decided to leave mid day on the 1st day, came and left n the second day and then finish on the 3rd day. Damaged wall and didn’t repair. Cost me money from contractors to fix. Cost me money to have plumber have to pay a second visit since they decided to leave after 3.5 hours of work the 1st day. No communication. No sign off when complete just left. Customer service yet to respond back. Cost me an additional $600 or so for repairs and plumber to come back. Awful experience

That $99 deal is a lie because it quickly turned into $6,000 in my case and that is without ever stepping foot into any of the rooms I wanted flooring for. I definitely wouldn't use anyone who lied up front to me initially the experience would only become worse in the end
