Where is the option for zero stars? We just had the entire house done with vinyl plank and carpet to the tune of $14,000. Disappointment is the kindest word I can use. Our first salesman, Elan, was terrible. Dismissed my wife and i completely once we told him we were shopping around with a timeline of 4-6 months. He gave us a wild quote of “between $18,000 and $24,000” then left without showing us a single sample of flooring. The next salesman, John, was great to an extent - but i get it… typical sales practice - Hit them high, then bash the first guy and come in with a lower price. We signed the contract and were on our way, with some very loft expectations set. We were promised our lives would not be disrupted in anyway, and that there would not be a need for use to change our day to day.Day one with demo and partial LVP install came and went. ALL of our living room and dining room funiture was left out in the AZ summer sun, even after asking for them to at least bring in our couch and dining table so my wife, toddler son and I could eat dinner together. All that was brought in was their tools and materials.Day two, they finish the LVP and baseboard. Brad nails were left everywhere, some sticking out of the baseboard by an inch and just hammered over like a lazy landlord repair. Caulking was just smeared over the top of the baseboard, the bathtub has gaps of nearly 1/2” to the flooring and were filled with caulking, and the cement the used to level the sub floor is splattered all down our hallway, my sons bathroom, the master bedroom door and in the kitchen. Each door that they removed no longer closes properly, requiring that i fix their screw ups. Not to mention, some of our own belongings came up “missing” after they left. At this time, they also left tack strips exposed at the doorways knowing full on that we had a toddler, 2 dogs and two cats. The bullnose corner moldings do not match the baseboard that was used, some LVP is not sitting properly and crackles when walking over it, and in general the quality of work workmanship is abysmal. The installers left scraps of plank all over the house and front yard, as well as packing material blowing all up and down the street.A week later was the carpet install, and if i am being honest, that day saved a little respect for this company. The entire time we went through this ordeal we called empire and their install department and no less than twelve times and left voicemails each time about all these concerns and to this day not a single soul has contacted us.
