Desert Cabinet Refinishing

Brian came to our house and impressed us right away. He was professional and appeared to be very honest. Even though his price was not the lowest of our three quotes that we acquired, we felt confident that he would complete the job to our satisfaction and in a timely manner. His timeline worked for us and Team Kevyn (family members) appeared at our doorstep ready to work....and work hard, they did. They were all very friendly, efficient and did excellent work with great attention to detail. We didn't have to remove anything from our kitchen cabinets and the whole kitchen was sectioned off to reduce the odor of the paint. The Uncle did exceptional work and was the master tradesman! Kevyn was instrumental in organizing, communicating what was required in detail. In the end, the Mom polished taps and cleaned counters and floors to leave our kitchen pristine! Great work and would highly recommend Brian's company and his Team Kevyn!!

The cabinets looked amazing! But that was in the beginning. After 5 years, there were several areas that needed touch ups done. After weeks of no-shows, Brian came by one evening and, in his attempt to touch up my cabinets with standard Home Depot products, has instead made them visibly worse. That was last year. We have made multiple attempts to get him back out to fix the problem and uphold his 10 year warranty, but we have been ignored. I had hoped that he would honor his work, but, if you want a job done right, you should look elsewhere.

Update: Brian did come out following my review and he took the damaged doors back to the shop to be fixed. When he brought them back, he touched up the boxes where needed. My cabinets are back to looking great! And he left us with some product to touch up when needed. I am glad that the warranty was honored, but was not thrilled with how long it took.

Jody arrived on time, looked at all cabinets, listened to our design ideas, addressed all of our questions and responded in a reasonable timeframe to our phone calls and emails. Jody said they use Dunn Edwards paints and suggested we use their color consultant. The workers arrived on time on the scheduled day and performed all work described by Jody and, using the colors recommended by the color consultant from Dunn Edwards, painted the cabinets. The cabinets turned out beautiful. Nice job Jody and Desert Cabinet Refinishing!

I had very positive experience with this company from start to finish. The owner, Brian, came out for the estimate and brought samples along with cabinet magzines for color ideas. He went over the details of how they do the work, the products they use, and helped clariy alot of questions I had on Refacing cabinets and different refinishing methods. He had alot of suggestions on what was possible and he never gave me the hard sell or bad-mouth competitors - which I experienced with another company.

He insisted on not taking any deposit until I had seen the work on my door and once the work was started, everything was completed in the 5 day period he had promised . The kitchen and bathrooms turned out even better than I had hoped and I would gladly reccommend them to others in the future.

I represent Desert Cabinet Refinishing. There are two reviews on here that were written below and are false. I have never done any work for Bob ,Arley or Sara Slaton and their comments are made up either by a disgruntled employee or competitor. I am in the process of having Google remove these false accusations but it's not an easy process. Just wanted people to be aware.

After 2 years, Google has yet to address the issue which I understand is common with them. However, I stand by my request to have these false reviews removed.

Awful. Won't warranty damaged wood. Supposed to have a 10 year warranty and will not come out to fix it. No accountability. If you want to piss away money to right ahead.

Awful service. Used damaged wood. Paid $1700 dollars for work and will not warranty it when a 10 year warranty was promised. Brain can expect a lawsuit.
