Arizona Tree Trimming & Removal

After the last storm a large branch on my Palo Verde tree cracked and was leaning on branches below it touching my neighbors roof. This happened a couple of months ago, in a storm. I contacted Jesse to review my options. He noticed that whoever was trimming my tree in the past didn’t know what they were doing, they were not Arborists, and, they added to the problem. Unfortunately if I kept the tree it would likely lead to damaged property. He quoted me a fair price for removal & stump grinding. They came out the next day. The stump was not ground as expected so I called Jesse, he said he would send his guys out the next day. They showed up and took care of the stump to my satisfaction. I let Jesse know that they did a good job. He took the time to call and thank me for the opportunity to make it right. Jesse honored his word and provided great customer service.

We had a tree fall, unexpectedly, overnight and they responded immediately with a quote. They were able to come out same day to provide excellent service and left our place looking as good as new. Highly recommend and will use again.

I highly recommend AZ Tree trimming removal for any tree removal and stump removal. The roots of the tree were raising my driveway. They were very responsive with setting up my tree removal and they were out there next day removing it. The team was very careful but also pretty quick! The before and after photo says it all!

I can’t say enough good things about AZ tree trimming. The owner came over on a Sunday to give us a fair estimate, had his crew there the next day for all the work, and they were done within a couple hours. The whole process was so easy and a great value.

I contacted Arizona Tree Trimming this morning and they had a crew out to me by the afternoon. They removed two large trees very efficiently. Like, I showed the crew where the trees were, stepped outside for 20 mins and by the time I got back, one of the trees was gone! Great service, affordable price, quality work. Definitely recommend!

The whole crew was awesome! They trimmed a large mesquite tree properly to fix what a previous tree trimmer messed up and removed a couple trees that were hanging over my neighbors wall. They were fast, friendly, answered all my questions and removed some additional yard waste for me while they were working.

They ground a stump and chipped a bunch of debris quickly, however I gave their crew a check and they never got it to the office so they charged my card with the additional fee and now I have a have a check floating out there. They also left me about 4 wheel barrows of chipped mesquite stump I had to deal with before my excavator got here.

We had 9 huge trees and several additional stumps that all needed to be removed. They did a wonderful job- they showed up right when they said they would and got straight to work. Jesse, the owner, got back to me quickly with an estimate and was really good at communicating a realistic time frame for service, how much of the tree needed to be cut back to get ahead of potential monsoon damage, and what to expect. His crew was really nice and they did a great job. They fixed the mistakes that a previous handyman did last year (before we were owners.) The tree looks a lot healthier now. I really appreciate the customer service. They were able to do the trimming the day after I called them. They cleaned up all the debris and were really careful around the flowers and vegetables I just planted in the yard. I highly recommend them.

I thought I got a great contractor with Jesse for my neighbor- I provided pictures and explained that the neighbor's sisso trees had invaded my yard, cracked the block wall, and lifted my patio foundation. The neighbor asked to help find a contractor to address this issue. I was getting turf so I needed help bad! Jesse assured me he had the experience-no problem. I don't know trees- but I heard horror stories about sissoo. Jesse assured me he was experienced with Sissoo trees. However, they finished the job and was paid by the neighbor before I got home from work. When I got home after the crew left and I needed more answers to why things weren't done as discussed. After many emails interrupted between intermittent trips out of town and ultimately a funeral, Jesse just couldn't understand why he would have to send someone to my home to go over the areas of concern. His texts were angry and insulting many times. Today, I talked to him and he told me, Now I'm going to talk and you're going to listen- He proceeded with name calling and how he didn't have to come to the house and wouldn't waste 2 hours of his time meeting with me to tell me there is nothing else he would do. I am 62yrs. old and have Sissoo roots throughout my yard- I needed help understanding what was done & why... and that it was prepared for turf installment. At no time did anyone professionally conduct an overview of the job with me. - Jesse was always mad that I questioned the work.- Honestly, that's all I wanted... to understand how the job was done completely if roots were still throughout the yard. I even went to Home Depot to figure out what I needed to do to stop things. Just because trees are your business, Jesse, doesn't mean I don't need more help as the customer. Sissoo trees are destructive unpredictable and... You won't waste your time? I've actually never had a business owner or, anyone in the service industry, treat me so disrespectfully. Definitely,...a different person before payment than after than after. Just a few examples

I'm so happy we went with Arizona Home Check for our tree trimming. We needed a tree cut back from our roof line prior to getting solar panels installed, and Jesse was able to make it out right away. He was very knowledgeable and professional, and more than exceeded our expectations.

I have never been so pleased with the terrific job that Jesse's crew did!! I will only call them again to service my yard here in Paradise Valley. We have a huge property with many trees . We needed our 50 year old Eucalyptus trees that have never been trimmed, that are over our swimming pool taken care of.. Six men showed up and got the job done in 6 hours!! I never saw these guys take a break. They worked hard and fast, but extremely carefully. The Foreman worked with me and was able to cut all the branches off that I asked him to. They all were very polite. They cleaned up perfectly after the job. Raked and blew my backyard and skimmed the pool! Jesse was honest and very knowledgeable about all the trees in my yard. He answered my calls ASAP and was more than professional. And to top it off his quote was the lowest quote I got for the job! Moved to Phoenix in 2019 and found Jesse and team through a personal recommendation. Our home had 9 trees, one of which was the infamous Sissoo (Indian Rosewood) that was making a massive root system towards our pool. Jesse's team came in and removed the Sissoo as well as trimmed our eight other trees. They know how to trim trees! They are NOT a chop shop but did a great job shaping the trees upwards giving them height and the ability to grow.

Fast forward to 2021-- heavy windstorm took out our 40-yr-old ficus laying across our backyard right into the pool (see photo). I contacted Jesse at 7am, he responded immediately, came out the same day cut up and removed the huge ficus as well as trimmed our other trees. His crew did a great job cleaning up the mess also!

The guys were professional, trimmed all our trees and left our yard very clean. Highly recommended!

These guys rock... tree removing animals! They got right into it —removing a large ficus. They did a great job grinding down the large stump too. I had some very old and overgrown Ironwood trees. They were ugly and I wanted to take them out. Scott convinced me he could trim them up and make them look good. He was passionate about saving those trees. He and his crew did a fantastic job and I'm glad I didn't take them out.

Man... what to even say about these guys. Monsoon time around here is always a gamble and this time we won the lottery with our last remaining ~30 year old Palo Verde biting the dust - this time on our house. We lucked out with minimal damage but having used AZ Tree Trimming & Removal in the past, I immediately rang them up within minutes. Two hours after the tree falling the thing was cut up in pieces, off the roof, and no longer a worry thanks to Jesse. They finished the job the next day and just now Jesse came out to take care of the rest of the stump that was peeking out of the ground saying hi to all that walked by. We called Jesse on Tuesday to get a bid on removing our tree. We sent pictures to him and within minutes we had a price and an appointment for just two days later. The three other bids we got were much higher and we couldn’t get an appointment for 2-3 weeks with any of them. So Jesse’s immediate response and ability to get us on the schedule so quickly made this an easy decision. Miguel, Jaimie and Angel were the crew who came and removed our huge Palo Verde tree. They showed up on time, worked hard from the time they arrived until the time they left, and did an amazing job of cleaning up all the removal debris. We were a product of the February 2019 huge snow storm in North Scottsdale. We attempted to do the trimming ourselves, but the damage was too extensive, and we finally did a search for a professional. Jesse and his crew were rated highly, so we called them. They explained everything before they did the work, charged a fair price, and did an amazing job with the many trees in our yard. Contracted through a well-known website for a tree trimming job to appease code enforcement. Wasn't my cheapest option, but it was well worth the premium. I've used a few services in the past, and been flaked on more times than I can find. Lesion being, you get what you pay for, in this case that's proper insurance, fast responses to questions, clear communication ((direct from the business owner), and the job was done within days. Also, as a bonus, the front yard was left better than when they found it. 99% sure they took more debris than they made. 10/10, will use a again.

Jesse is awesome. His crew is supper fast and professional. They trimmed my 34 ft tall Mesquite tree in about 1 1/2 hours. Not only that but they went above and beyond by chipping up the branches I had in the front yard that I had cut earlier in the week from another tree. They do a great job cleaning up. We had two large trees that hadn't been cared for in quite some time. His crew was able to climb the mesquite tree and was knowledgeable in how to develop the appropriate canopy. Both trees look amazing and will have better long term health because of their work. The crew worked efficiently and cleaned up 100% of the debris. We started by using Arizona Home Check to manage our second home in Cave Creek. Now we use them for just about everything from Tree Trimming to Tree Removal to Handyman services. They are the glue that keeps our second home together. Attached is a picture of a couple of palms we had them remove.

AZ Tree Trimming was contacted at 5:45 pm and they arrived before 7:00 am the next day! Trimming and clean up was completed within an hour for a 25' Chinese Pistach tree by our pool. The price was great too and they didn't try to upsell either.

Jesse (owner) answered his phone on the 3rd ring (when does THAT ever happen today?), and asked me to text pictures of six trees, which were in dire need of professional trimming.

Last week, I had requested a quote through the Arizona Tree Trimming and Removal website. Jesse responded within 1-2 hours and our appointment was scheduled for 4 days later. On the day of, 4 crew members showed up and walked us through the process and their suggestions. They were very professional and helpful. It took about ~2 hours to remove 2 large limbs off our Mesquite tree, load, and clean up. We were charged a little more than what was originally quoted, but it was more work than they had originally thought and the crew went beyond our expectations. These guys were fast, friendly and efficient. They patiently worked with me at the end, to see if there were any more branches I wanted cut. Their cleanup was good but could have been a little better. They moved a LARGE wooden dog house out of the way (and put it back, and didn't complain about my husbands wheelbarrows and junk he hadn't moved before they got here. It was fun to watch the guy climb the big Mulberry trees like they were nothing, reach out and trim limbs. Obviously, they've been doing this a long time and they know what they're doing. Had a great experience with Arizona Home Check! I actually arrived late to meet with Jesse and his crew at my home, but Jesse called and asked if there was anything I was comfortable with them starting when they got there. Once I did arrive, I asked him to look at almost ten additional trees and plants than he originally quoted me on. He was very patient and knowledgeable, and he gave me suggestions on care for all of them. He gave quotes on all trees I asked about and then trimmed and/or removed them all while they were there. Very reasonably priced with excellent customer service.

And here is a bit of info you might find helpful beyond my review and based on my experience as a property owner: Landscapers/maintenance companies and Tree maintenance/removal specialists each have important roles to play in keeping our property looking its best. I've found that tree specialists with mechanical chippers and stump removal equipment are the most effective at keeping my trees healthy and properly trimmed. Also, do not push your landscapers beyond what they do best. It’s not cost-effective. Jesse’s crew took down a 30 ft ficus and a very large eucalyptus. They were careful with my and my neighbor’s property. They had an efficient process from the first cut to grinding the stumps. The owner Jesse and his crew of workers were nothing short of incredible! He was quick to come give me a quote for the work- hours after I called. They showed up on time and removed a very large pine tree that put 2 homes in jeopardy. They removed it safely and efficiently. They had all of the tools and resources to make it hassle free for us and the neighbors. Within hours the tree and debris was gone and you would’ve never knew a massive tree once occupied that space. We lost a huge tree in our courtyard during the our last big storm in Cave Creek. We called AZ Tree Trimming. Jesse answered our call right away. We sent pictures to him and he was over within hours to assess the damage more thoroughly. I had the good fortune to find Jesse and his company on Home Advisor. Jesse and his crew were amazing. My property had many overgrown trees. They successfully trimmed and/or removed the agreed upon trees and I couldn't be more pleased. They are professional, friendly and aim to please. And they did please me more than I even expected. Crew was on time, professional, went over every aspect of job and confirmed my expectations prior to starting. They checked in constantly to make sure each tree met my specifications. The tree that was removed was amazing to watch. The young man climbed to the top and gently cut logs with one arm while he removed cut log with the other. Then he would get it to the ground ensuring nothing would be crushed or hit. I have never seen such caution taken in removing limbs, logs and trunks. The professionalism left me in awe! Now that the superintendent on the job knows my expectations I am having them come back at a minimum of two times a year. I want Manuel to be the lead every time because now he knows how I like my trees and next time I won’t have to be here. I am confident my expectations will be met. I highly recommend this company! Woke up Saturday morning to my saguaro cactus laying in my driveway. It had been knocked over when my yucca tree lost a branch over night. I googled cactus removal and picked AZ tree trimming and removal. The owner responded less than five minutes after requesting a quote and I had a quote, contact by the local GM, and the cactus and yucca tree branch removed in a two hour time frame. They were quick and efficient. 10/10 would recommend.

I recently purchased a home in the PV area of Phoenix with a few very large overgrown trees that had to be removed. New to the area, I was at the mercy of Google to look for a tree removal company. I got lucky to find AZ Tree Trimming!
After reading its very good reviews, I sent in an online form. A prompt reply by text asked for photos and Jesse was very responsive after that in calling with a quote and to discuss what exactly we needed done. A short time later, the trees were removed and the stumps ground.
The entire experience was prompt and professional and I couldn’t be happier with the service. Jesse was very willing to accommodate the removal of a few smaller trees on the date of service and his guys went out of their way to clean up my yard of all debris. Excellent experience up until I received my invoice with an added $50 fee for not paying by check or cash. This fee was not disclosed to me at any time (the owner said it was sent in an email that probably went to my Spam folder). The fee was eventually waived, and that is why I am giving them a 5 star rating. The guys who trimmed my trees were professional and extremely hard-working. I appreciate their dedication to trimming trees even in the 115 degree summer days. I would recommend this company, but know you need to pay with a check on the spot.

The team were professional and the job went perfectly. We had a Sabal Palm that grew to 15 feet and was located in a bad spot in our back yard. (inches from a concrete wall and wedged in a corner). These guys performed this duty with ease and took extra care on how the pieces fell being very careful all along the process. I got to watch from my back window so I saw how great these guys worked. Left the area spotless when finished and absolutely did not damage a thing. I would highly recommend this company!!!

After a bad Az storm my big tree dropped a huge branch into the road. Jesse came out after dark with a chain saw and made the road and sidewalk safe for the night. One of the trims was pretty extensive to get the tree under control. The tree looks beautiful now and does not seem to be growing out of control like it always used to. I had Jesse's team take out a Sisso Tree stump and root system that was tearing up my irrigation system. They took the entire system out, and repaired a couple leaks that showed up in the irrigation system (may or may not have been caused by the excavation, but they repaired them anyway!) They cleaned up the area and it looks great. Also, very friendly and professional crew. Would use them again for this type of project.

I was recently looking to have a new shower/tub installed in my rental home in AZ. I was nervous having someone do the work while I was out of state, not being able to see the progress. When I was finally able to see the work that was done by Jesse had done, I was blown away. I highly recommend Jesse with Arizona Home Check. Easy to work with long distance, great work, and even my renters said he was a pleasure to have around.

Was given an estimate to remove a very large eucalyptus tree - the process took longer than anticipated, and they ended up asking for an additional amount (in the hundreds of dollars) because of several broken chainsaw blades and additional costs. I agreed to pay this as I felt bad because apparently the tree had large pieces of metal in it towards the top (previous owners). I paid the additional, but after inspecting the area after (my mistake of paying first), they did not clean up all of the debris and foot deep mulch from the removal, but left trash, including the broken chainsaw blades. I tried to call several times, and never heard back. Also - on day two, their truck had a dead battery so I loaned them my jumper cables and they never even returned them. The tree was removed so I gave them two stars because it was massive, but the service and overall experience was definitely sub-par.

This company does a good job but it's unfortunate that they will not do any small jobs. Their minimum charge for anything is $400. I understand they have a crew to pay but I have one small tree to trim just isn't worth $400 for less than an hour's work.

I emailed them on Tuesday afternoon and they were out 8am Thursday morning. Took down a huge tree in the back yard that was leaning very close to my house and back wall. Jesse and the crew are professionals! They will not only do the job right but educate you on what exactly needs to be done and how they plan on getting the job done. Whatever you do, do not hire a landscaper to do the job of a tree trimmer. Hiring the right people should be viewed as an investment. There’s a reason why landscapers charge less, they are not qualified to do things arborist do.

When He and his helper showed up he was very friendly, assessed the job and let me know what he was going to do. Got right to work cut down the tree as per the original agreement. But, he went beyond the agreement and cut up the tree into manageable pieces, his helper swepted up the debris created in the street. All of those things I had agreed to do. All I wanted was my tree on the ground. Did not charge me extra for the extra service. Worked quickly and efficiently, could not be happier. YES, I would hire him again.

Ditto what my wife Gwenn said about Jesse and his crew--over the years in the valley I've found a bare handful of businesses and contractors that gained my loyalty--Jesse managed that in a long half-day's work. His estimate was fair, his crew well-equipped with Stihl power equipment (a dozen years wildland fire experience and my personal 40 year old 041 Farm Boss makes me a wee bit partial to the orange and white wonders....) and they just got to it, cleaning up some seriously gnarly old mesquites that I'd long neglected and removing a couple trees that needed to go to that big forest in the sky. After fifteen years in the north valley, with most contractors I felt like I should kick them and kick myself once I saw what I got from them--Jesse & crew are the stand-out exception to that rule. Find them. Use them. Be highly pleased!

Several of my trees were in bad shape (sickly) due to the previous trimmings, these guys showed up on-time and in a professional manner. They did far more then what I expected at a fair price, best of all there were no surprises and my trees look great!!

I had a very old 50+ years old that was termite damaged and infected. Needed removal. Team were well knowledgeable fast working even in 100+ temperature. They cut loaded and cleaned up after themselves before leaving. I have no reservations about recommending them.

I highly recommend AHC! They trimmed up a severely overgrown tree in my backyard as well as 10 plams. It honestly looks like I have a new yard! They knew exactly how everything needed to look and went above my expectations!! Jesse went as far a climbing on my roof to trim one tree branch that he thought looked a little out of place. I don't understand why this company has all positive reviews. I feel after talking to them that as a single woman I was taken advantage of, the price they quoted was outrageous and I felt the guy I talked to was very arrogant and thought if I am a woman immigrant they can take advantage of me. That's just how I felt. I would never trust them. These guys did an exceptional job. They were on time, professional and even considerate of the neighbors. They got right to work and left the yard nice and clean when they were done. They went above and beyond what I expected.

I had a 25 foot saguaro that had begun rotting without me realizing it. In leaving for work this morning, I found the cactus base cracked, and it leaning about 20 degrees toward the road. I was afraid of it imminently falling and causing harm. I called AZ Tree Trimming & Removal, and they had the cactus cut down and safely removed within a couple hours. Jesse came to look at job and gave us a great quote that was very reasonable. His crew came and they were professional and did a great job with tree removal. They were timely and there was a separate clean up crew so the work was staggered. The stump was a bit high out of the ground so they were kind enough to try and get stump as close to ground as possible so I could expand my garden boxes. They chipped and left chips on property as requested and dropped piles in requested areas to help spreading them on our property easier. All in all great job and I would highly recommend Jesse and his crew.

These guys were out to my house early, and they were very professional, got to work away on 3 palm trees I wanted removed. They did a great jod cutting them down in very little time. And they cleaned up the mess caused by all the work it took cutting them down. Got to work right away, no foolling around.

The mesquite tree that they trimmed looks weird now. They cut down a bush without telling me. I guess it was in the way of cutting down the Mexican palm. Still, they should have told me. No problems with the queen palm tree removal.

I’m A large Joshua tree in my yard split in half and most of it came crashing down. I needed someone to chop it all up and haul it away. I spoke with a few companies and received a few quotes, and I chose Arizona Tree Trimming & Removal. They had the best price, they were able to complete the job the next day, and they did exactly what I needed. All of the left over debris and bits and pieces were cleaned up so the yard looked fine when done. They even followed up to be sure that I was satisfied. I could not ask for more efficient, professional people to work with.
