Very smooth and overall awesome experience! I had a complete re-roof done a few weeks ahead of a solar installation.

KJ worked with me in the beginning to review the scope of the project, the details of their proposals, and the logistics for execution. He was very responsive and patient. I also really appreciated his thoroughness throughout our conversations.

Jesus managed my complete re-roof and it could not have gone smoother. They showed up on time and took two days to complete the project without any issues or inconveniences. I work from home and besides the expected banging, was left undisturbed the entire time.

Jesus communicated with me several times before his team showed up. He also came out after they finished to walk the project and review quality.

We just had our roofing project completed by American Solar and Roofing. K J was a pleasure to work with and in setting up our contract. Communication started off weak from both the solar and roofing sides. This is why I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars. However, I need to say that we are pleased with the final result. Jesus V. and his crew on the roofing side worked very hard in this heat and completed their work in 3 days. We ended up having a small leak after the rain this past Saturday. Jesus was very prompt in returning my texts and calls and sent a crew out as soon as possible to assess our roof and address the situation. Chad, on the solar side, was also easy to work with and addressed my texts and calls. Communication is a key factor when working with clients, but I have to say that both sides showed great work. I would use this company again.

Horrible Company and Customer Service. I have been waiting 3 weeks for a Service Tech, only to be called the day before my appointment to be informed that all their Service Techs just quit. Tells you something about the Company, huh? Now I have to wait weeks so the can hire new Service Techs. Then maybe I can be rescheduled in the next 18 to 21 days? Joe Seitz, the CEO, is a self proclaimed activist? Activist for what? Poor Customer Service? Disgruntled Employees? Poor Quality work?

I never write reviews but my project with American Solar and Roofing was hands down the worst vendor experience I have ever had. They were to re-roof my home and casita after removing existing solar panels, and when complete, then reinstall them with a new inverter.They forgot to do the casita roof, the roof project was delayed multiple time, their billings were consistently incorrect, they failed to order the new paid for inverter and once it was received it took almost three months to get it installed. In addition, their costs were high than other bidders with good recommendations but I picked them because they had installed the original solar panels. In the meantime I suffered financial losses because I had to pay for electricity because the panels were off-line

Their in - ability to complete a project is fact!
I have been repeatedly re-scheduled .
I have been repeatedly expected to take their issues into account when their lack of follow thru caused me to not get my solar panel fixed under warranty!
I contacted them in July 2022. It’s Jan and received Another cancellation of my appt Wednesday.
I asked HoW I can get them to complete my project ? Do not work with this company as employees change, service will not get done as scheduled and they will not honor their commitments!

This is going to be a very long review but please bare with me if you are considering them to do your project. We hired them in January when we needed the roof replaced as they claimed they did it all. Come August when rain was hitting regularly we noticed half our panels were having issues so we contacted AS&R to see if we could get problem addressed. After 2 weeks and finding other parties they responded with they can come out and it's under warranty so we canceled the other we found. This was our biggest mistake as from that moment on we kept relying on this horrible company to finally fix the issue. Weeks go by with multiple cancellations by them, some times they arrived without proper ladders and that's if they bothered arriving at all. My house has wasted atleast $2000 in vacation time used waiting around a house for them not to show. In addition to all the above issues they seem to always try to bandaid fix the biggest issues so the fix is minimal and does not last. We are still waiting for them to come back out as the last fix seems to be to unplug the broken solar panel causing the error code . This led to 3 months of our solar panels providing significantly less power thus costing even more money.

Do your self a favor... higher someone else even if they are 10% higher upfront. They probably will cost you way less in the long run.

I obtained 5 quotes. All suppliers were thorough and appeared to be reputable and trustworthy. I selected AS&R because they were the most affordable, plus they could handle the entire job in-house (i.e., remove existing solar panels, replace underlayment and tile, then reinstall solar panels).
There were some glitches. The start date was pushed back a couple of times. They couldn't get the solar inverter restarted, but persisted, finally tapping the manufacturer's expertise. One year after the install, a house painter noticed that they did not lay tile all the way up to the edges of the solar panels. When I brought this to their attention, they jumped on it and made things right.

Jesus was my roof repair project manager and did a great job. He kept me updated with the schedule and even found a way to move me up in the schedule. My work was done ahead of time. His crews were overseen by Tony who also provided outstanding customer service. The team worked quickly and cleaned up each day leaving the worksite clear of debris. After personally inspecting the final project, I am happy with their work. I would definitely recommend American Solar and Roofing.

American solar and roofing originally installed my solar unit about 12 years ago. When it came time for new underlayment for m 7300 sq. ft. roof. I had gathered a few bids and American solar was my choice. They were very professional, conscientious, and clean. Their work was excellent. However, there were considerable delays due to rain and the flu season. Even after the 3 month delay, I am very happy to have my roof looking beautiful again and I am back on line!

Still waiting for a call from management about our failed solar inverter. Have spoken to 3 different office staff and 1 technician who have provided me with different stories about the inverter: It was under warranty and would be replaced; It was not under warranty but they can sell me a new one; A previous technician 'ripped off the company' when he installed my inverter; and on and on, but no resolution to the problem. I will continue to post on this page as well as the American Solar page and all other social media until someone in Management at American Solar calls me to resolve this issue. I am also filing formal complaints with AZ Attorney General's Office, AZ Corporation Commission, AZ Better Business Bureau.

Jesus Valtierra is amazing I had an issue with my tiles panels and roof since American Solar came out and put it in. I had called the previous supervisor several times regarding the issues to no avail. Once Jesus came out and saw where the situation was he definitely said we needed to fix and take care of this issue. He was very professional and very attentive and took care of the situation 100%. I really appreciate his professionalism and his attention to detail and making things right for the person that used to be in his position.

I found American Solar and Roofing to be a great company to work with. The quoting process was professional and painless. Jesus Valtierra was head forman for the roofing crew that came out to replace our tile roof (no solar for our project). Jesus went above and beyond to make sure the roof replacement was done to our satisfaction. we live in Sahuarita AZ and Jesus came down from Phoenix (2+ hour drive) for a final inspection and walk through with me. When a few cracked tiles were discovered in our inspection he had his guys over promptly to fix them. We haven't had our first monsoon to test the roof but my experience with Jesus and his team was great. I will be recommending American Solar and Roofing to all my friends.

I just had a roof replaced by American Solar and Roofing Jesus was the supervisor on the job and he was awesome. He was very easy to contact every time I called he answered the phone, which is unheard of these days. This made it very convenient for me, because I do not text. Also, he was very informative and was able to answer any questions that I had. The job was finished right on schedule. This is not my first experience with the company I have had two other solar systems done one on my daughters home and another on my new home. We had our roof replaced by American Solar in 2014 after storm damage. We have had solar with ASR since 2010. We have always been impressed with their service. I can say when we had damage in July of this year, we had a slight issue when there was no response to our calls for roof repair. We were finally connected with Jesus to get the roof fixed and have been very happy with his response and attentiveness.

Ten years ago American Solar Roofing did a good job installing solar panels on back half of our roof in Surprise after first redoing the underlayment etc. They just completed redoing the old tile roof on front half and the flat patio porch. Roofing supervisor Jesus Valtierra took pictures before and after the job & nicely explained how the worn & broken places had been fixed. We are very happy with their work, their price was in line with 2 other estimates, and we know they are stable company who we can rely on to fix and problems which develop in future.

American Solar installed our solar system 12 years ago, so, we chose them to replace the underlayment on our tile roof for two reasons. First we were satisfied with our problem free solar system. Secondly, because other roofers were not willing to handle both roofing and removing /replacing the solar system. We did not want to take on the role of general contractor coordinating schedules and the performance of two different companies..
We are very satisfied with our decision to use American Solar and Roofing. Jesus handled a few problems such as our HOA and kept us informed. Every day after their crews finished they cleaned up thoroughly.
As expected Steve coordinated the roofing and solar panel efforts without a hitch.
I recommend American Solar and Roofing for roofing, but, especially for repairing or replacing a roof with a solar system.

Had American Solar and Roofing recently replace the underlayment under our roofing tile. To do so they also had to remove and replace the solar panels and the toile.
The two project managers Jesus for the roof and Steve for the solar portion did a great job. Accomplished the project in four and a half days, cleaned up well and were easy to work with. Now we wait for a rain to make certain it works, only kidding.
We would highly recommend American Solar and Roofing for your project.

We needed an inspection of our American Solar system to complete the sale of our home. American Solar was very responsive in scheduling us for the inspection in the limited time frame dictated by our sales contract. They went out of their way to coordinate the inspection with our buyer. The results of the inspection revealed that our 10 year old system was functioning as it should. Their inspection report was comprehensive and clear. We appreciate their efforts in accommodating our schedule, and appreciate the reliability of their system.

Spoke with the owner, Sean to contract for services to remove solar panels while my roof is being replaced by another company. I paid the deposit on Dec 7th and was told by Sean they could complete the work by 1/14, but he could not yet give an exact date. I was informed his team has scheduling meetings each Thursday, and they would follow up with me on Friday with the date they'd complete the work. Every Friday between 12/10 and 1/13 I had to call for an update. Each week I was informed my project would be part of the next scheduling conversation during the upcoming Thursday. Finally I pushed back and stated I needed a date today or would need a refund. Finally, Sean the owner emailed me informing me they've been short staffed since early-Dec (when they took my money) and would be unable to complete the job. That left me one day to find another company to do the work or else my roofing job would need to be rescheduled. Not once did someone from American Roof & Solar contact me with an update, I had to push them to contact me. I understand Covid has caused supply chain and staffing challenges, but a company who cares would have contacted its paying customers to keep them informed, or wouldnt have accepted a job they knew they couldnt complete. I'm now waiting for a refund of the deposit I paid in early-Dec. According to the owner the check was mailed nearly two weeks ago. I'll update this review if/when I receive that refund. Use this company at your own risk, and only if no one else is availalbe.

American Solar installed my solar system in 2004. They have always been very responsive with repairs especially under warranty, and even worked to extend my warranty period. Most recently I needed a replacement power inverter, not under warranty. The technician, Mike Reilly, was very courteous and even offered to come out again and set up the new inverter's WiFi connection for the new owners for when I sell the home later this year.

On August 5, American Solar tech came to my home to repair software as I recently changed router. He fixed one system but never connected the Sunny Portal system. I have called their service department multiple times but never received a call back. I have e mailed them; left more voice mails, but not a single call back from American Solar. I paid $350 for this service call and feel robbed. I filed a complaint with the BBB. The extent of their incompetence is a warning to anyone considering their service.

I gave five stars because Mike Reilly is an excellent technician. He was on time, very efficient and personable. After reconnecting the inverter box, he took me through the steps of understanding how to read our new/ reconditioned inverter box. When we couldn’t get it to work the next morning, I called him directly and he took us through the steps to reset the box and it now works perfectly. On a side note we have been very frustrated with the company because we have been without solar for 3 1/2 months. It has taken them this long to get the inverter box refurbished. Our APS bills are more than a years worth of bills with solar!

The system has been repair-free, consistently produced the same energy each year, and paid for itself in electricity savings in the first 7 years of ownership. I had American Solar install a system over 15 years ago. It has performed FLAWLESSLY. When it came time for me to have my 33 year old Tile and Elastomeric Roof refurbished, I was inundated with bids from roofers, but when Jesus showed up from American Solar AND Roofing the knowhow and professionalism of their Smart. Uncompromising. Motivated approach made it NO CONTEST. The roofing crew did an incredible and thorough job, completing the work just before the 3 day deluge of mid July! I just had a Solar System installed on my roof by American Solar and Roof
It took longer than expected. That is my only complaint, because of the following.

Austin Rosenbaum, Sales Manager worked with me to get a deal we could both could live with. He made the deal, without him I know it would have never happened.

Jose Leon was the Project Manager, He was up front, honest and friendly. If he said it I could count on it to happen. Amazing work ethic.

Jesus Valtierra was the Roofing Superintendent. Amazing work ethic.

Vincent Hernandez was the Integrator./coordinator. His main focus seemed to make sure everything was done right.

These men shared a trait I have seldom seen in the last 20 years. They were all polite, and do whatever that needed to be done. My satisfaction was paramount. All of them gave me their cell numbers for emergencies. Pretty amazing. American Solar is lucky to have these men in their employ.

My experience getting solar on my home with American Solar and roofing was very up and down. Would I select them again? Yes because the price and system are the best out there. I called and left messages for over a month before I was actually able to speak with someone, (beginning of Covid) once things got started they moved well until installation, I was told people would be coming at a specific time and date and they did not show up, and I had to call to find out they weren't coming that day, this type of thing continued that I would be told they would arrive at a specific time and they were hours late. I finally let the supervisor know that it was unacceptable to tell me a time and then not show up, he apologized. Then the inspections took 3 visits before the City approved the system. The price was good but this company definitely needs to work on the professionalism of those working directly with their customers.

I would hands down recommend American Solar to friends and family in fact I just did. Their costumer service is excellent and are willing to work with you to get the best price and your business. I had lengthy conversations with Sean the owner and he patiently explained how solar works in terms of connecting to APS and the advantages and disadvantages. This is a family owned local business, always good to support the small local business. Jessica also provided the quotes which were done very professionally and quickly. Jessica also returned call promptly and willing to spend time to answer questions. Again I'd recommend this company to family and friends.

This was the second time we used American Solar. They installed solar system in our previous home in 2003. Since we have pigeon issues, I found they were the only one to mount the panels flush against the roof after removing the roof tiles. The installers were very knowledgeable, courteous, punctual and friendly. They did an excellent job. It was a pleasure dealing Sean one of the partners and I would not hesitate to recommend American Solar.

I called American Solar in 2012 to explore the possibility of adding solar to my house. Their sales person came out and brought me proposals which were dead on with what I wanted. I selected the single pay lease approach and signed the contract. The whole experience was completely professional. While getting things ready it became apparent that my roof was shot which was not good as I was supposed to have 16 years left on my shingles. Their roofing superintendent came out took off some of the old shingles to help me with a warranty claim that I was successful in getting reimbursed from the manufacturer. They came out and started work when they said and completed both the roofing and solar installation in a very professional manner and got it done when they said. Actually they knew the ropes and were able to get me turned on very shortly after the installation was done which was far quicker than other people I know were able to get up and running. Their staff were extremely good and I was very glad I hired them. I am a retired general contractor and I informed them that they managed their work very much like my firm did. I could not be more pleased. The system is working extremely well and in less than 3 years of operation I have been able to Pay back about 35% of what I invested.

I had a good experience with America Solar. The initial call for service was handled courteously and professional. Isaiah the service tech arrived within the specified time frame and quickly addressed the problem and replaced the fuse that cause service interruption. Issa seemed knowledgeable and had an understanding of the solar control box and the workings of the entire system. I was very pleased with American and would use them again.

I do feel the service call charge of $250 is a little excessive.

I have done business with American solar & Roofing since June 2015.
They initially installed a 7+ Kw solar array, they obtained the permits, HOA approval and did the structural roof inspection. The work was done on time and on budget (unlike the Great Pyramid of Cheops)
The system has worked flawlessly since install.
I again contacted AS&R to expand the system, the expansion resulted in a total of 3 arrays or strings, an additional SMA inverter (the best in my opinion), 3 additional breaker/fuse panels and a Main panel de-rate.
I appreciate the design work done by Sean and all the red tape that Darcy
had to cut through between the County and Utility.
Technician Mike Reilly came out today and activated the system, installing breakers, fuses and other gear needed to make it operational and compliant with AS&R, the Power Co. and County. He also is in the process of connecting both inverters to a phone app. allowing me to monitor when away or just curious about efficiency. (the house is on a fairway and prone to attack by golf balls so I find this app very beneficial), He explained exactly how it all tied together, and how to use it.
I appreciate his expertise and willingness to educate.

As technology improves and I decide to put in batteries, I will certainly call American Solar & Roofing for sales & install.

Jesús and his crew did a great job. They got our roof stripped and new roof installed in 3 days. They cleaned up when they were done, including using a magnet to find hidden staples and nails. They put a tarp above our little above-ground swimming pool to keep out debris. The crew that did the work was polite and seemed (to us) to do a great job on the install, including sealing all possible gaps (e.g., chimney and roof A/C unit). Jesús came out to check regularly on the progress, and to inspect the work when it was done. There was one minor problem with the roof A/C (nicked power wire), and Jesús accepted responsibility for that and took care of it.

Did a beautiful job installing concrete tiles. (They had also installed my solar system 10 years ago.) Everyone on their crews is as tireless and hard-working as I have ever seen. Great attention to detail. Their roofing division manager, Brad Robertson, is as helpful as they come. Everything is well-coordinated. They could use some improvement in the communication area, but otherwise 5 star.

Good first experience with this company. The technician who visited my home, Isaiah, was extremely polite and diligent. He even adjusted his arrival time slightly to accommodate a work call that I had to attend. After diagnostics, he explained the problem with the inverter, and different options, clearly.

Great company. We got quotes from 5 companies for a new roof and picked these guys mostly because they seemed the most honest, which is a big deal. They also had the most knowledge and selection of new materials to reduce our electric bills. They weren't the cheapest, but we didn't trust the cheaper bids at all. Our last roof leaked because the builder took short cuts, which they argued about. These guys were very professional and made sure it was done right and on-time. Our new roof looks very high-end. And in the first 3 months we've already seen a $160 reduction in our utility bill. So although we don't have solar, it did pay off going with a company that also does solar. They knew a lot about reducing the electric bills. We have already recommended them and will keep doing so.

A very detailed quote was provided with supporting photos and the company adhered closely to the dates that were suggested they would complete the job. The work crew was very focused throughout, and attentive in cleaning up. The company was very available to answer questions as needed and the walkthrough was very informative as my husband knows a lot about roofing and felt all his questions were answered completely. We felt very satisfied with the work and would highly recommend American Solar and Roofing.

American Solar & Tile installed their solar system in June, 2019 & had been the only company on our roof. March, 2020 heavy rains came & noticed a leak. Reached out several times to American Solar to repair. 2 installers came, claimed it wasn't their fault & refused (still under warranty) to replace broken tiles. Called 2 other companies to get bids & both companies agreed the broken tiles were from solar install, as attached pictures will confirm. Additional fees were required to have tiles replaced.

He found a broken solar panel and checked the the entire system and the condition of our tile roof. Very pleased with the service. He was very professional and answered all of my questions. We looked at 3 solar companies and selected American Solar and are so glad we did. Our rep and installers have been extremely conscientious. They're willing to come over and answer questions, review our bills and suggest the correct rate plan. The installers did an excellent job and we haven't had any issues since we put the system in in January - except of course our electricity bills are almost gone! We couldn't be happier we decided to go solar and selected American Solar as our provider. We'd recommend them to anybody looking to install a system.

American Solar & Roofing installed our original system in 2003. They used high quality materials and were extremely professional. We just had them repair the inverter (lasted much longer than most) and they did it quickly and were fairly priced. And now the system is hooked up wirelessly so I can see how much energy it's making! The owner, Sean, is a skilled engineer and a pleasure to do business with.

Had good experience with Sean Seitz and most of his crew. Sean did excellent job of explaining how solar works with APS, and designed a system for us for years of good service. The work quality is excellent, looks professional with finishes completed, thank you! They were able to close mount the solar panels and black framing to our roof, and they look good up there under the sun. We did hit several delays in the project with the large amount of people completing solar by the end of the year, APS held us up on two inspections, that was not helpful. Sean's office is polite to speak with and did a great job of responding to questions, concerns. Thank you American Solar and Roofing!

Quality work from start to finish. We had a great experience, starting with a very thorough analysis of our energy requirements, projected usage growth and associated cost estimation. This analysis allows you to correctly size your system to maximize your cost savings over time. The products used are top-notch with the best performance and have the best track records with regard to reliability. But what really makes these folks stand out is their installation expertise. They know roofing, and that makes all the difference when it comes to having a reliable solar system for your home. We are very happy with the products, but especially with the workmanship of the install.

I have American Solar & Roofing install both a solar system (5 kWh) and replaced my foam roof at a later date. Have them to be very professional with excellent quality work and their estimates were spot on with no extra or surprise costs. I highly recommend for either solar or a roof

Wow, Treven and crew (including Maya), are outstanding, efficient, pleasant, patient and thorough.
We had solar panels installed, It was a very positive 2 day experience. The team nursed me through an understanding and operation of the equipment.
There is one more visit to complete the process.
We are pleased and satisfied at this point.

I’ve called three days in a row (and sent an email) for help or to discuss how to deal with a red light default on our Solar system installed 4 years ago and can’t get Mark (service manager) to return my call….very unprofessional and after this experience would not recommend them at all !!!!

The company employees were very competent and professional throughout the installation process; their workmanship was great right down to the bird proofing around the outer edge of the solar panels. If your looking to install Solar, this company is for You!

We purchased a home with a 3K solar system already installed. We had service tech, Mike Reilly, come out and go over the system with us. He was very professional and explained everything we needed to know in detail. He started with the panels and went thru the metering and inverter/charger. He performed the inspection in detail and we were very pleased.

Buyer beware. 60 days before we took ownership of a home in the Tucson, AZ area, we got the name of the solar system installation company (American Solar) from the original seller, and contacted them - American Solar and Roofing (have original email in possession).

We asked American Solar at that time to confirm that they had indeed replaced the original Fronius Inverter (one month earlier) for the then current owner.

That the newly installed inverter was under warranty. Original warranty is a 10 year transferable warranty. Note: The solar inverter is one of the main cost components of the solar system - $2,000 +/-

American Solar provided us with an email and written copy of the (Dec 2017) written work order, which shows they replaced the warranted solar inverter with a New Inverter. Their exact words - are on the work order.

We were satisfied, and bought the property. Than the solar inverter failed.

12 months after we took ownership, the New solar inverter stopped working - now runs at 50% capacity - This time we called the actual inverter manufacturer Fronius Mfg North America (South Bend, IN)

Fronius confirmed the serial number we were providing indicated the inverter American Solar installed was Refurbished (used) and the one year warranty for it had expired. Not 10 year warranty for new solar inverter. One year for used inverter.

It was not new as indicated on the work order from American Solar. it was in fact, used.

We contacted American Solar, requesting they replace the one-year old used inverter with a new one, as was conditioned under the original 10-year warranty. They refused.

We then asked American Solar why they lied on the work order (new product installation) when in fact they installed a refurbished (used) inverter. Now they blame the manufacturer - Fronius who has revised the warranty to replace warranted inverters with used inverters.

Our contention - ANY Later Revisions to the manufacturer’s warranty do not apply to warranty repairs required under the original 10-year contract provided for this residence.

After 12 months of trying to have American Solar and Roofing honor their warranty - we have given up trying to work with American Solar and turned over the complaint to the Attorney General of Arizona. They have so far denied (lied) about everything - forcing a lawsuit.

Buyer Beware - We highly caution readers or potential solar system buyers to look beyond the recent reviews (very suspicious and possibly not honest)
Look more closely at Olde client reviews which share our own very bad experience with American Solar and Roofing of Phoenix.

American Solar just completed a roof renewal project for us in preparation for solar panels installation. We are completely satisfied with all aspects of the project and now have the equivalent of a new roof. The roofing Superintendent, Jesus, and his crew were here on time, completed the project and cleaned up afterward. Jesus maintained regular communications with us throughout the project. Our experience with American Solar and Roofing was a nightmare. We have a fairly new home with solar panels that were poorly installed by American Solar and Roofing (ASAR), which later caused multiple roof leaks.

Last year, our ceiling started leaking right underneath the solar panels, in our bedroom. We called American Solar (Darcy), and the roofing supervisor came to check it out. Initially, Jesus (the roofing supervisor) and I were looking above the wrong area which made it seem like it wasn’t under the solar panels. I then had multiple companies inspect it, and they ALL showed proof that it was under the solar panels and the damage was caused by the solar company.

(When ASAR installed the panels, they relocated the attic and bathroom vents and didn’t seal them properly and they weren’t up to code. There are also multiple saw cuts into the underlayment. These were all causes of the roof leaks that we’ve yet to get fixed.)

At that point, I called Darcy back and she sent Jesus back out, who then realized the problem is indeed underneath the solar panels and the leak was caused by the solar installation. He then had the solar supervisor come and they “fixed” the problem and told us it shouldn’t leak anymore.

After a few weeks, it rained again and the ceiling underneath the panels leaked worse than ever. I called Darcy, who got in touch with Jesus, who called us and informed us he would come out when it’s dried up and told us they would get it taken care of. Darcy later sent a rather surprising email letting us know they are not going to fix the damage and they weren’t the cause.

Although multiple companies have showed us that the leak was caused by the solar panel installation, we are back at square one.

Now that we have to pursue this legally, we have found that there are multiple lawsuits against ASAR.

I used American Solar and Roofing for two separate solar installations. The workmanship is first rate. They were able to solve unique, complex problems in a timely manner. I found all of their employees to be knowledgeable and friendly.

I have called them no less than five times about an issue with their roof installation completed in the Spring of 2018. I paid them in full for their work and cannot even get a call returned.

We have had an excellent experience with American Solar. They behaved in a very professional and ethical manner. Their projection of our energy requirements have been excellent and we have generated all the electricity we have used, with a slight surplus to spare. Our Solar PV system was installed in April 2013, and it has worked flawlessly. The panels and supporting structure are on a patio roof and have not been harmed by the the heavy winds we occasionally experience. American Solar is the kind of company that we are happy we found. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

This company is terrible. It took 8 months to get solar installed. They constantly have different employees, and the answer we get is that other person was supposed to take care of that but they don't work here anymore. They give out service email addresses for people that left the company and claim it is checked regularly, yeah maybe every 3-4 months.they schedule service, don't show up and say oh sorry it wasn't in the calendar . Then they reschedule multiple times, not caring if it's a good time. Then they show up for service and cannot do what needs to be done. Please look elsewhere for solar trust me, the stress isn't worth it.

American Solar & Roofing is one of the few companies to logically pair the roofing and the solar business in the Phoenix area. They were consistently efficient in responding to requests from initial shopping comparisons to reviews of completed work. All work, roofing and solar installation/start-up, was completed as contracted. The experience with American Solar & Roofing was exceptional.

We reported having a problem with our solar panels 8 WEEKS ago. They finally scheduled us after calling and calling for 6 weeks for the next week (week 7) only the guy was behind and couldn't come out, so he rescheduled us for Tuesday (week 8). It is Thursday, no show and we've called multiple times with no return call.

We've had a shattered panel and drop of production (about a 30% loss) for 2 months. That is starting to add up to a lot of money lost.

And we work from home, so someone is always here, it isn't a matter of schedules - we told them this, just send someone any time!

System works great. Just took forever. Made promises on when it would be up and running and then just blame the electric company. They say they follow-up but you don't hear from them for days/weeks. 5 to 10 business days turned into 29 real days and then another 5 to 10 business days after they got whatever approval they needed. Seems they are more interested in the next sale then following up with a current customer. Absolutely not disappointed with their work, just their excuses and poor communication.

From the first contact with American Solar and Roofing, we dealt with competent professionals, not pushy salesmen. We were not encouraged to purchase more solar capacity than we needed, and the product was installed in a surprisingly short time period.

Here we are again!!!! Trying to reach this business and get an answer is like communicating with the moon- no calls back for weeks. Maybe they are going out if business??? Maybe the 3rd try... we can get a simple call back.

This review is probably a year old and still they never return calls and because they are having issues getting our internet to contact with their system they come out and charge an outrageous service charge and system STILL DOES NOT WORK. I wish we had gone with another company more reliable. Check around and do a lot research prior to commitment.

Here we are again!! Numerous times solar system does not communicate with wifi. We usually unplug several times and it starts up again. Last month while out town daughter had to come over. THIS MONTH & THIS TIME WE ARE HOME AND CAN NOT GET COMMUNICATION BACK. TOO MANY PROBLEMS. I LOVE OUR SOLAR WHEN IT WORKS!!! BIG COMMUNICATION PROBLEM.

At this point not happy with the customer service of this company. Trying to get solar panels installed. Many mix-ups. Last night in storm, many square metal pieces about 18x18 were flying off our roof. They were supposed to be here today to check it out. Have called several times and no response. Not good.

This company deserves a ZERO STAR...DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !! From install/completion dates to actual work accomplished--MONTHS behind--NOW I find out that my system has been off-line since September 4th (its now Nov 25th)--Notifications, that I was supposed to get--instead went to someone within the company (against company procedures I am told), and that person has been gone since Sept !! HUNDREDS of dollars wasted, because my system isn't working--oh and the kicker ?? when called I have an service/appointment it's IN A MONTH !!! wow--unbelievably horrible C.S. and company--AVOID-AVOID-AVOID !!!!!!!!!!
