Acme was a great company! The first thing in the morning they called, I explained what I needed to have done. I was explained the cost, what they would be to do. And the best part was, they come out the same day! The tech was very nice, he explained everything to me before he started the job! The tech did a great job! He even was very thoughtful of our dogs making sure they didn't get out of door! The tech was very professional and I was very thankful that I was able to get my request done today and didn't have to wait two or three days! I would definitely use them again,and let our family and friends know how great ACME was ! Thank you again ACME!

I ordered my own key blanks for my 94 Amigo and thought it would be easy to get them cut at Home Depot, Ace Hardware, Autozone or somewhere similar; no such luck. I then reached out to four different Locksmiths in the Mesa area. No one would do it. At the chain stores you have to purchase their blanks, which they didn't carry or without flat out stating it, they would let on that their employees were not of the skill level to confidently cut my blanks without making a mistake and when they did, the business didn't have a suitable replacement blank on hand.Finally, I called Acme Locksmith in Mesa and spoke to Russ who assured me that they could cut my blanks correctly and in the most unlikely of events if their Locksmith were to make a mistake, they also carried my blanks in store. Ron, the Acme Locksmith, cut both of my keys quickly and walked out with me to my car to ensure they were cut with precision, which they were.So, don't do what I did, save yourself the phone calls and running around wasting your valuable time and visit Acme Locksmith first! I ordered a key fob and it was to arrive in 7 days, four weeks later it arrived and they didn’t call me. I had to call them. We made an appointment to go and get it programmed to my car and they couldn’t do it in two appointments. They then said for an extra $60 dollars they could get one that works. The key fob that I ordered was through ACME’S Webb site with one of there representatives on the phone walking me through ordering the key. I would never go there or recommend them.

I scheduled ACME Locksmith to rekey locks and secure doors in our new home. It was easy to schedule online. They were great at communicating. The technician was professional, friendly and had the job done in no time for a reasonable price. I definitely recommend them if you need a locksmith.

Update - I appreciate your apology. I too am a small business owner. I understand costs but also understand the importance of customer service. I went in fully anticipating having to pay the after hour cost of getting 6 keys made.Zero stars - Camping World referred me to this place to get keys made Employee rude and refused to do keys because “boss doesn’t pay overtime and we are closing soon” - this happened to me today, on a Friday. He said “you’ll have to come back Monday”. Won’t be back and wouldn’t refer anyone to this store.

Bobby was amazing! Straight up and honest, and very generous with his time. And as a bonus, he fixed my seat! I won't bother with any other Locksmith than ACME. Want guaranteed great service? Tell them to send you Bobby in the Mesa area.

I have alway come to this place to get any key made. I bought a key fob for my truck and need it to program it. I called ACME and they told me they could cutbthe key but couldn't program the fob that is a dealership only programing. I know. It's crazy. But they did cut the key that opens the door. Funny thing is that the dealership machine that cuts the key isn't working and hadn't work for 2 years they told me. So it worked out perfectly. ACME have made all my extra keys from my car to truck to motorhome. I honestly do go anywhere else.

The service was for a neighbor that was locked out of her place. Ron arrived around the time we were told. He was efficient and courteous. I would recommend this service to others.

Brought my E bike batteries in to have keys made for the locks, and they said no problem. Was done the next day. They had to make the keys without a key, so they did an impression and customized it. Scott did a great job!

ACME was fantastic very punctual and professional in their service. Even when setting up the service they had some one who didn't normally do the scheduling covering and he went above and beyond finding the answers to the question he didn't know. They updated me at every step which was very nice. Ron the tech that came out was very nice and got the job done quick! Would definitely use them again for locksmith needs!

We just moved into our home and didn’t have any keys. Acme sent Big Mike to make us some new keys and reprogram our smart lock. He did a great job and is highly recommended.

I recently bought a truck that had a camper shell on it but the keys were missing. ACME helped me take the lock out and they cut me a new key for it.The emergency key that was in the key fob didn't work on the truck lock so they were able to help me get a key cut for the truck too.Happy with the quick service and the price was reasonable. Amber and Eric helped me with a re-key on my company service van. I had only one key that a hardware store had made for me and it only worked in the ignition and the passenger door. Acme Mesa was able to make me a new set of keys for my van using my one busted key. They were able to do so without pulling any locks. Incredible service and skill. Scott was able to solve my non working lock issue quickly. Dealing with professional like Scott was a pleasure as he resolved 2 lock issues while I waited, at a fair price. Max was awesome to work with. Acme In general was very easy to talk with and to get a professional to my home quickly. Max came to my home and first assessed what my needs were and offered several options for what he can do. He explained in great detail everything that he would be able to set up for me, how he would do it, and how it would protect my family. He even took it on himself to make sure the deadbolt on my front door went as far into the frame as needed at no extra charge because he saw the need while he was at work and just took care of it. I especially liked the suggestion he made for my slide glass doors to make them more secure and child proof. He was professional, personable, and I would easily recommend Acme locksmith to anyone.

I bought a safe from Acme and they had it shipped to me in NJ after the company I originally ordered from turned out to be a sham. Acme stands out with service, communication and post delivery support. Their YouTube videos were very helpful in making my selection. Would recommend these guys all day long.

The only place in Mesa area that I could find that made RV keys. Thought the price for each key was high but I guess if it is the only place you know you are going to pay a big price.

These guys came highly recommended. I don’t know what happened, just not satisfied with the quality of their work. My expectations were not met. When I tried to have the issues resolved they wanted to send the same person who was responsible for those issues. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I had 3 locks with no keys from an antique vehicle. Three locksmiths had declined the job because they didn't have the blanks. ACME impressioned the locks and rekeyed a 4th lock to match ... in about 2 hours. If you have a tough job I highly recommend just starting with these guys. They are awesome!

Horrible Service!Took our car there and they couldnt get the key to work. Blamed it on the car. Went and got a new key from dealer and tried to get Acme to program the keyfob and they denied us telling us the car was garbage.... Took it to Ace hardware and they configured it just fine. Maybe for an Old school house door key these guys can do a good job. Keep your car keys away from them. They tried for three hours but I guess they have not been trained on vehicle keys. Best of Luck to them

They were honest and charged me 8 bucks to do a blank car key. You know how it is when a dealer key is so expensive. One place said they couldn’t cut a key that they didn’t sell. The lady who answered the phone at ACME asked me if I needed them to program the key and I had watched a video on how to do it before I called so I told her no. That fee is over 50 bucks so make sure that you do a little research to see if you really need their help on that part. But they were really nice and It took a couple minutes and I was out. Solid folks

On July 28th I called ACME Locksmith in Mesa, inquiring about 2 keys for my daughters new car. I was told that if I wanted to order keys I would need to purchase them on their website and once received I could bring them in and have them cut and programmed for her car. I then went to their site and ordered 2 keys and paid 2 day shipping. Fast forward to today, I still don’t have the keys even after calling them 6 different times and them promising me they would resend them. Well I just got an out of stock email tonight saying they are refunding me. So I’ve been jacked around for a month and still do not have the keys I need. ****AVOID THIS SELLER****

So thrilled with the courteous, prompt and knowledgeable service we received from ACME Locksmith today! From the first phone call when I spoke with Violet to the in store advice we received and then the same day service appointment this afternoon. All four of our front door looks were cleaned and serviced then re-keyed to all be the same. It saved us from having to purchase all new door knobs and dead bolts and they now work like new. I highly recommend them!!

I had several technical questions about getting a key fob for my 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport programmed. I engaged with an ACME rep who patiently answered all of my questions. Half what through our emailing back and forth I discovered (and made them aware) that I was not in the same state as any of their businesses. The rep continued to answer my questions and was very helpful. I wish I was in the same state as ACME as ACME was only going to charge me $79 to reprogram my key fob. The cheapest I can find for the same service (near Atlanta GA) is $179.

I went to ACME Locksmith after a friend lost his car key in a parking lot, leaving his car stranded there for 2 days. Bobby showed up right on time after driving a considerable distance to get there, even beating me there and was more than patient waiting for me to arrive. He was able to get a new key made right there on the spot in no time at all (about 15 minutes total) and the key worked perfectly the first time. He was extremely friendly, had very professional service and was overall an absolute pleasure to work with and a really cool guy to talk to. ACME's prices were far less than anyone else I called for a key, which is critical in an emergency case like this, and Eric was an incredibly helpful at the office when I made the appointment the day before. Eric and Bobby both were more than happy to help, and even worked with me on every detail of our situation. My friend and I cannot be more grateful for Bobby and Eric, and ACME in general. I will absolutely be returning to them for anything else I need and will recommend them to everyone I know.

We had an excellent experience with Acme Locksmith. It started out with a great interaction with their receptionist/schedule coordinator, she was professional, efficient and very polite. They were able to quickly get us on their schedule to fix a lock for us. I inquired about some other lock types and the tech gave me expert feedback and advice. He also gave us tips to ensure we didn't encounter the same problem with the lock on our door at home. I'm confident he saved us money in the long run. I found this company to be well priced. It was all in all a great interaction, I highly recommend this company. I will keep them in my contact list and only use them again for future lock issues.

I purchased a safe from Acme a while ago and recently moved. Mike moved my safe, changed the locks on my new house & reprogrammed my garage door opener. He also taught me a few things about garage doors. It was a good afternoon thanks to his service.

David with Acme came out same day and fixed my door. They are very trustworthy. Did not gouge me on trip service or labor. Did not do more than was required to repair my door. Good Guys. A neighbor recommended this company, and I'm so glad I called them. I explained what I wanted, they quoted me the prices over the phone. Ryan showed up on time, had me walk the work with him, explain what I wanted and ZOOM off he went to work. He was courteous but quick, and if he came on a problem, he discussed it with me, got my approval and got it done. Downside. Ryan told me the final price, and it was different than my quote but not more than 5%. Had me sign his phone CC charges, AND an invoice. When I asked to see what I signed he said both would be sent by email the next day which they were. Just would have like to have had a bill showing me why I paid the amount I did. It was close to the quote, but you are charged for EVERYTHING. I have no complaints, just be careful what you ask him to do or he offers to fix something for you, even if you are glad he's able to fix it. .Excellent job, would recommend to anyone but with the proviso to ask how much so there are no surprises later. Lesson learned.

Acme is amazing! We’ve been locked out of our mailbox for a week and we didn’t know what to do. I contacted Acme and spoke with Violet, who was so very friendly and helpful. I was originally scheduled for Monday (a three day wait) but once I told Violet our dilemma- she moved us up with no extra charge! Today, (Friday) Bobby with Acme moved his schedule around to accommodate us. Bobby fixed our mailbox lock problem with a solution that will last! Had a great experience with Nick and Big Mike. Acme has first class service. I had to postpone my original date and they didn't fuss a bit. We rescheduled and it was fast and easy. They keep you informed with text messages. Very good!

If you want excellent, quick, and friendly locksmith service then use Acme!! I called Acme Locksmith late Saturday afternoon, 8/15/15, expecting to have to schedule a service for that upcoming Tuesday, the next day I planned to be back to that location. Much to my surprise, they fit me in the schedule that very same day with Ryan which I am very thankful for. They saved me from having to take time off of work, and over an hour commute if scheduled on a weekday. Ryan contacted me with an estimated arrival time, and again when he was on his way. He provided great, friendly service and was very knowledgeable in answering all of my questions. Ryan finished in a very timely manner, the new locks work great, and every key fits perfectly. Acme truly made it an easy process. I will definitely use them again in the future.

We called Acme to get our locks re-keyed. Ryan came out and went above and beyond my expectations. He took the time to lubed up all 4 door locks and found 2 of my doors had secondary locks that I was not aware of and got those working for me. Truly an expert in the way he explains things while he's working, very professional and on-time.

Called to setup the appointment to have all locks in a new home re-keyed. The manager/dispatcher was super helpful and made it easy to decide what services were needed. Ryan, the technician, showed up an hour later and was also very professional and nice to work with. Ryan is a perfectionist in his work and wouldn’t let anything go half done. He reset my garage door openers so no other opener except the ones I have would work and realigned two doors that weren’t locking easily.Highly recommend!

Great experience, great staff, great shop! I was searching online for a locksmith who could program a replacement smart key for my car and came across Acme. Based on all the great reviews, I decided to check them out. And, let me tell you, I'm happy I did. Sean is like a programming genius, while Thomas skillfully managed to transfer my transponder chip to a new fob shell despite the fact I had, um, er, used some superglue in an attempt to fix my own key issue. (Yep, bad idea. The Acme guys set me straight.) Not only are they extremely competent, they're also genuinely nice guys. And, super honest to boot! I definitely recommend them 100%!

I was locked out of my U-Haul storage containment. I set up the appointment on Friday, Bobby was very punctual, even a little bit early which is perfect. It did not take him long start to finish, which considering he had never seen the lock before was impressive. He was very competent and knowledgeable I would recommend him and this location to anyone having lock troubles in the area.

This place is great. I went in at 4:55pm on a Friday afternoon and the two guys there provided me with the same level of service as if I got there first thing in the morning. (Sorry I had to do that guys, but it was the only time I come in.) I had a replacement chip key made for my car, and it works perfectly. You can tell they are detail oriented and take pride in what they do. Austin (I hope I got the name right.) did a great job in making the key. Don't get your spare car keys made at the dealer. Take them to Acme! My dealer wanted to charge me $129 for one hour of labor when it's only a 10 minute job. Acme did it for less than half that price. (It's even less if you buy the key from them.)

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Salespeople in store were very knowledgeable and helpful. Delivery was done by Big Mike extremely friendly and careful from the time he arrived until he was sure that I was set up. The gentleman that showed up with him even drove back after the delivery as he forgot to shake my hand. I would highly recommend them for anyone needing a quality locksmith and/or safe. The prices were unbelievable and for the quality I could not be any more pleased.

Great company! I called on a Friday morning to have the keypad lock on our office door serviced; ACME said someone could come out at 3pm, but the locksmith arrived at 12pm to our delight. He worked quickly and efficiently, and he took care of our issue in about 30 minutes. We will most definitely be using ACME for our future lock & key needs.

I contacted Acme Locksmith on a Friday at midday regarding an emergency situation. They responded immediately and we set up an appointment for Saturday morning. I inquired about their emergency pricing and was advised that Saturday services were not considered non-business hours and therefore they did not charge emergency fees. I explained our situation and not only did they fix our emergency situation but also fixed a few other lock issues we were having, all in record speed at a low price. The technician was friendly, knowledgeable, competent and keenly aware that we needed to keep our costs as low as possible while still keeping quality products. Since then I’ve recommended numerous times and am pleased to say they’ve not let me down! Great job all the way around!

We had a problem opening our Rhino gun safe and contacted Acme Locksmith after another locksmith came out and decided not to take the job. The whole experience with Acme was very pleasant beginning with the first phone call all the way through getting our safe opened and the lock replaced. The whole process with trying to get our safe opened took at least 2 weeks with the first company but was opened the next day after contacting Acme. Our technician, Mike, was professional and very pleasant. We would highly recommend Acme to our family and friends. Thank you, Mike!

Great experience, reasonable priced. I will use them again

I've always been careful where I leave my keys, unfortunately with age I've found that the thing I do best now is losing stuff. Sadly my keys are not immune to my senility or forgetfulness. I've recently gone about trying to temper this problem by making copies of my keys, but the big box stores have your most commonly used keys/locks which is fine for most of my keys but I had about four high quality locks that apparently don't move enough product to justify keeping in stock. I was referred here by an ACE hardware employee. To my surprise this store has just about every key possible (and more) the keys I needed had to practically be made by hand from some of their stock one at a time. The extra cost? none, granted the cost per key was a tad bit more than the limited ones the big box stores carry, however the cost for over a dozen keys made (all by hand and sizing) were still a fraction of the cost of one new lock. In my case, I did have to bring the locks with me so each key could be confirmed it worked, but only took 20 minutes and that was mostly the employee waiting for me to stop fooling around with all the interesting locks they have at the store for demonstration. I strongly encourage those of you to try this location out. I did not have them come to my location to do a lock out or unlock something for me, but I'm certain their service would be just as stellar if they did. I see there is one low rated review in regards to a programming a key for a car. I am not certain what specifically the dealer told that gentleman, but I can assure you in my case I opted to have acme do it - the dealership wanted to charge 799.99 + labor for extra keys and programming, ACME - 235 + tax for the same amount of work. I'll be having ACME take care of my lock needs from now on, I can see why they have and A+ rating with the BBB.

It was very nice to get an email and text that narrowed down the timeframe of the appointment. Nic, the tech that helped us out, was great. He was very conscious of the space around my home since the car was in my driveway and he wanted to make sure I wasn’t needing to get a vehicle in or out before he got set up. I was amazed at how quick he was able to do his work and the results worked perfectly. I had called several weeks early to set up an appointment to have my hardware changed when I closed escrow on my new house.. I sent pictures and was assured all would be ready when I arrived at my new home. The day of the appointment while I was still on the plane that had just landed, I was told the guy who took my order got it all wrong and they couldn't fulfill my request. I asked if they could at least rekey my house. Yes they said.. And they did. After a long discussion with the man who rekeyed the house I asked him if he could get the hardware I needed and have it ready when I returned to move in. He said yes. Today I called and they know nothing, the lady (who kept calling me sweetheart after I told her my name )said to me the man wouldn't remember and we'd have to start all over again. Very frustrating. I'll find another locksmith.

I have used Acme for all of my vehicle key needs they are always extremely helpful and super friendly. I took two vehicles to them for key duplicates and programming and it only took 15 minutes. I thought my second car key did not need programming so they just cut the key for me. When I got home the duplicate would not start the car so I took the car in and they only charged me $20.00 to program it since I had another vehicle programmed!! Thanks Acme I know you saved me tons $$$ from not having to go to the dealership!

Was given a very reasonable quote over the phone for same day service. The locksmith came, had to drill out our old mailbox lock and replace it along with a new key. The work was done quickly and the quote was exactly the same as given over the phone, no weird hidden fees or charges. Great service!

I am very impressed with Acme Lock. I had to change locks at my business same day, I called and spoke with Violet. She was a breath of fresh air from other receptionists. She made the process super easy and do I dare say the word fun to speak to on the phone. I called several self-advertised locksmiths before calling Acme. Most businesses that advertise as a locksmith simply do lockouts for cars. I came to Acme because I needed the real deal. I have a truck box that I needed keys to be able to secure my tools, but I did not have a key to duplicate. My particular box has a more complex locking mechanism and further complicated the task.I brought my truck box to Acme and they HAND-FILED me 2 perfectly working keys! I was impressed, and that does not happen often. Not only were they extremely expert in there field, they also were very focused on customer service. My keys were both done within 30 minutes. While I waited I went and got Yoko Fast Food and watched their infomercials in the store and actually learned a lot.I will be telling everyone I know about Acme and will be calling them for all of my future needs.9/9/2016Just had them make a copy of a truck key that wasn't working on the passenger door. I called ACME Locksmith services after I accidentally locked myself out of my flat and my landlord could not provide me with an extra key. The technician, Brian, showed up about an hour after I called and within five minutes, my door was open. Brian was polite and very efficient. It was nice to be provided with such friendly and agreeable service after an exhausting fifteen hours of stress and anxiety over the situation. He also informed me about ACME's 24 hour emergency services which had I known about previously, I would have utilized them when the situation first occurred the night before. I would recommend ACME Locksmith after my experience because of the quality of service I was provided with. I was a little shocked at the fee, $80, since only my door handle was locked and the whole process took less than three minutes to complete. Walk in to acme in Mesa. Sign said open. Lady asked if she could help me real quick. Asked about getting a key made for an electric bike. She took the key and rolled her eyes. Then proceeded to tell me she would have to look for a blank. I said never mind give me my key back. I said terrible customer service. She replied you came in just before closing. I said your sign says open. I proceeded to leave. As I was walking out she said I’m willing to help you. No thanks you should of said this when I walked in. I was the only one in the store. I called to get a quote for an ignition fix -not the replacement just a fix- and the front desk lady who had “12 years experience”, quoted me double what I ended up paying from someone else. I recently spoke with a friend and she said she got the same front desk lady who was rude and condescending to her as well. They had such great reviews, but if their front lady was rude I didn’t want to bother with anyone else on their team.

I called several locksmiths to get quotes. I viewed each of their websites too. Acme Locksmith has a very detailed and informative site. When I called to get a quote they were upfront and told me the charges for what I needed done. I asked to be called prior to them coming to my house. Thomas called promptly and showed as promised. He listened to what I needed done and got to work. He did a complete security check of my house and gave really good information. He was very honest and did a great job - he was very patient with me and explained everything. The price quote I got on the phone was what was charged - no hidden fees like the others I contacted. My existing key for my Honda quit working. I came here to get the key reprogrammed. They knew what they were doing and troubleshooted our problem trying to find us the most cost effective solution.I ended up needing a new fob and they had one one hand. Great service and fair price.

Go to Harmon’s to get your car key cut! They did replace my key fob but do not have the machine to cut newer car keys. They did try, after 4 attempts they wanted to send me to Phoenix to get my key cut. I asked for a local referral and Harmon’s in Mesa was mentioned. 5 min drive. Took them less then 4 min to finish my perfectly working key.

We needed extra keys for our daughter's car and only having one coded key meant and extra programming charge. Acme was much, much closer than the nearest dealer. A locksmith is someone the average person rarely needs. Eric was very friendly and listened to my preference. In the end, it was an excellent value. A dealership would have only netted two keys (one having to be programmed with the computer and the other from other two keys) for a about the same price. Eric even programmed the extra key and fobs to make sure they worked. Something the dealership would not have done. I would not hesitate to recommend this business. Friendly knowledge people and the job done right the first time.There are problems related to the Ford Escape and Explorer tailgate locks, as well as Mazda tribute. Ford dealerships and independent shops' fix appears to be close or at $400. Replacement solenoids have incorrect connectors and need wires spliced.The friendly and resourceful technicians at Acme locksmith are located in Mesa at Greenfield and Main on the East side of the Fry's Marketplace. They came up with a solution for less than half of the aforementioned price, with no spliced wires or reprogramming.We now have a manual tailgate lock that is keyed to the rest of the vehicle and maintains the alarm arming feature. It it very sturdy and will never break. It looks and unlocks the tailgate and lift window as before, as well as works with door ajar indicator. It also looks like it came with the vehicle.Another 5 Star visit for service and solutions!!Acme is our go to lock and key resource. We locked ourselves out of our house a couple of weeks ago. Robert with ACME Locksmith was at our house within 15 minutes. It was late afternoon on a Friday. Robert got us in no time. He was very efficient and very knowledgeable and friendly. After not being able to get through one lock (only because he didn’t want to damage it), he had to bust into our garage entry door lock. He was able to pop it apart with barely a scratch (it was a new lock). I was amazed that he got it open so quickly. He warned us that it might ruin the lock, but it worked perfectly. I would definitely use ACME again.

Our appointment to repair a door entry latch to our main house entry was scheduled for the morning after the afternoon I made the initial phone call. I locked myself out of my house. I had called and asked to have someone help me out, Ryan was my guy. He called to let me know his previous job ran late but was on his way, which was awesome since I has walked to a store down the road to keep cool in this heat. Once he got here he was able to unlock both sets of doors pretty quickly. Very personable guy and he also made sure to say hi to my dog and everything,since he was barking the entire time Ryan was working on the locks.

Rekey all locks. Very fast, Professional, booked appointment online, they texted when they were on their way, Showed on time, no surprises on cost, had two deadbolts that needed replacing. I read all the great reviews about how quick and couteous they are. I called and told them I had a vehicle that I was locked out of with no spare key. I am located 18 minutes away from the mesa location. Spent the better part of the 10 minute phone call on hold to only find out there was one driver working who was not feeling feeling well and they couldn't make it out here. Even though I spent the better part of 10 minutes listening to how they have 10 drivers that service the Phoenix metro area. Was advised to call harmon lock safe and key. This morning I had my entire house re-keyed. All the locks were old and gummy and not working. In fact, there were times when we couldn't get in the house and had to work and work and work with the locks before we could get the door open. We are in Arizona in the middle of our hot, hot summer, so standing in the sun messing with a really hot lock was no fun!! I was introduced to Acme Locksmith when the lock on the back door of our business had to be repaired. The locksmith was so kind, professional, quick and knowledgable that I scheduled him to take care of my household locks. He was on time and got right to work on the 11 locks that had to be done. He promised that those sticky old locks would work as smooth as butter when he was finished with them...and they did!!! He was fast and the price was more than reasonable. I'd like it to be cheaper but I just realized that newer cars have these very very very expensive keys! I called Violette in the Phoenix store and she told me they had the non-electric key available in the Mesa store for just about a quarter of what it would cost to replace the one that opens the doors and everything remotely. Now I have time to save money for a duplicate for my brand new used Kia! I just feel safer having to keys and although it took a lot of research it's great to know there's a laser cutter not very far from where I live.

I went to the Mesa location with a deadbolt that wasn't working. The technician tested the bolt and key locks and found a replacement bolt so I didn't have to buy a whole new system. He made 2 news key that worked in the old locks. It was less expensive than buying the kits sold at hardware stores. The whole visit took only 15 minutes!

Having lost the key to my 1988 Ford I called the Ford dealership and was told they only go back 10 years, and I should call a locksmith .Violette at Acme Locksmith was not just polite but very knowledgeable. We called Acme when we moved into our new house in Mesa. We asked that all the locks be changed along with a peephole installed. The installer was prompt and courteous, and he went into overtime to get the job done on the day that was promised. We weren't charged for the extra time, and the job was done right. Should we need lock and key again, we will definitely call Acme.

I rarely write reviews. How I was treated by staff at Acme needs to be put out there. I had called previously because I needed a door cylinder replaced. They didn't have the part but no biggie I ordered it. I was told to come in the afternoon because more people worked, so I came in today. Now I completely recognize that 315 is late when you close at 500 but I was working. I would have even been ok if the guy told me politely that they couldn't get it done today due to the late hour. What I was not ok with was the unprofessional attitude I received from the guy at the counter. He was clearly annoyed at my presence. He pouted as he put up what he was working on and stomped away with my part. It was like I walked into a yire shop and asked for a locksmith service. He went and complained to his coworker and then came out and while still being rude told me it couldn't happen, but this time said he couldn't get stuck on my job in case 20 other people came in and overworked his co-worker. The store was empty by the way. The job would also take too long. So I sit here a mile away with my door lock fixed and Acme is still open 10 mins. Bulldog locksmith was anxious for my business and came to me and fixed my lock within 45 mins. It probably would have been faster but we had pleasant conversation. I recommend a small business like Bulldog because clearly Acme doesn't need your business.

The shop went way above and beyond to attempt to resolve my issue. After trying 5 fobs, 3 programmers, they were still unable to get me a new fob for my vehicle. But even with a shop full of course, they took almost an hour to fix my issue. I well be returning to them again for any locknissues I have.

Great work!, Ryan came promptly and got right to work replacing problem lock sets. Entry door works perfectly---no more lockouts. Cleaned up the area when the job was completed. Definitely will call these guys again for any locksmith services I need.

I am office manager at a medical office. Today we had an employee leave the office very angry. She did not turn in her key before she left so I felt it was necessary to change out all the locks before leaving for the day. It was after 4pm when I called Acme locks and they had someone at the office by 6pm. The technician was very nice, sympathetic to our situation and had all the necessary locks changed out in a hour! I was very impressed and although I hope never to be in that situation again- I would definitely call Acme locksmith again if needed!

TL;DR Good service, abysmal workmanship.I had the ignition of my Honda Odyssey rebuilt by Acme in July 2017. Instead of properly performing the repair off-vehicle, they performed the repair in-situ and simply broke, cut, and drilled out whatever was in the way. The dealer estimated over $500 to repair the damage.-Long version below-Some time after having my ignition rebuilt I noticed I was able to remove the key from the ignition with the van in drive. It took awhile to notice because that's not something I regularly try. The repair was still within the warranty period but it wasn't worth chasing down so I let it go.Fast forward a few months and after a few near rollaway incidents I decided to get the issue fixed. Unfortunately the warranty had expired.Now normally I wouldn't complain. After all, it was my fault for letting the warranty lapse. However, what I found when repairing the ignition was so appaling that I feel I have to warn others.I got the first indicator of poor workmanship right when I got the vehicle back. There was a gap between the two halves of the steering column trim like they hadn't been clipped back together. It turns out that all of the clips on the lower piece had been broken off.No big deal, the part was cheap and easy to replace. I ordered one from Honda, installed it myself, and that was that for over a year.When I finally went to diagnose the interlock problem I noticed that the immobilizer receiver was only held in place by one screw instead of the usual two.To properly remove the immobilizer receiver, the ignition assembly must first be removed from the steering column. Honda uses breakaway bolts to secure their ignitions so removing them requires a little more work. However, it is not particularly difficult. I managed it in under half an hour despite having never done it before. I would imagine that someone with the proper tools (for example, a locksmith) could do it significantly faster.However Acme instead chose to do the repair in-situ. So after removing the one accessible screw, they simply broke the immobilizer receiver off.Honda ignitions aren't designed to be serviced. In order to replace the tumblers (which is what Acme did), the lock cylinder must be removed. The lock cylinder is held in the lock barrel by a through-hole roll pin. This is easy enough to remove. The lock barrel, on the other hand, is held in place by a roll pin in a blind hole. This makes it very difficult, though not impossible, for the average DIYer to remove.Thankfully there is a tool built specifically to remove this one roll pin. While it doesn't make sense to buy one to repair a single ignition lock since it's pretty expensive, it's a no brainer for someone who might repair a whole bunch of ignition locks (a locksmith, for example).However instead of simply removing the roll pin, Acme chose to render the lock housing incapable of retaining the lock barrel at all. They did this by drilling into the gap between the lock barrel and lock housing. As a result, the lock barrel was held in place solely by the broken immobilizer receiver. Unfortunately Honda's interlock system relies on a properly secured lock barrel so Acme's repair rendered it completely ineffective.Even more unfortunately, both the lock barrel and the lock housing were irreparably damaged. While the lock barrel is available from Honda as part of a recall kit, the lock housing is only available as part of a complete ignition assembly. Not only does this require you to pay over $200 for a whole bunch of unnecessary parts, it would still need to be re-keyed anyway.All told the dealer estimated over $500 to fix the damage done by Acme. Thankfully I was able to fix it myself for significantly less but it took dozens of hours of time and effort. Anyone less comfortable with tearing into their only vehicle would be out of luck.

Ryan with ACME was a savior. Saturday afternoon pouring rain. Rain tripped the breaker to the garage door. No keys, all doors locked. He was at my door in 15 minutes on his way to another job. Ryan absolutely went above and beyond to make a stop to help me out instead of telling me to call someone else.

I called Acme Locksmith about copying a car key for my 88 MR2 because my original is so worn out, it would barely work the ignition, but not the door locks. After the Toyota Dealership being unable to help me, I went to Acme and spoke with Ryan. They informed me of the key code I needed from the door, but it was a very difficult task to take apart and retreve. Ryan took it upon himself to find a way. With oly the old key, Ryan went through the trial and error of replicating the key in its original factory form. After several tries within an hours time, Ryan was able to match the Toyota key perfectly! I wish you could see how badly worn the original key was, but for Ryan to replicate it so perfectly is mind blowing. Thank you Acme Locksmith, and Thank you Ryan for sticking around after closing hours to help me out! I will always recommend your company!

I accidentally locked myself out of my apartment one night. I called ACME the next day at about 10:00 and was told someone was available 12-3 to unlock it for $70. I was called about an hour later by one of their locksmiths saying he'd arrive in fifteen minutes. Unlocked the door in a few minutes for $70. Great service. 10/10

I ordered a key for my 06 Charger with built-in FOB. ACME couldn't get the FOB to program and said it was defective, so they said they would order a new one. After a couple months of not hearing back I called them, and they say they have no record of my order. Not only did they prove incompetent at locksmithing, but they proved themselves as crooks!

Acme is the best safe cracker in the valley! My Big Horn gun safe I bought from Costco died 6 months after I bought it (evidently a bad motherboard). I called another locksmith, they quoted me $350 over the phone to open it, and said they would have to use a 9” cutting blade and the safe would be destroyed. When they came out they said it was different from what they thought, and it would be $650, and the safe destroyed.Mike came out, drilled the designated spot from the manufacturer, opened it, repaired the hole, and converted the safe to an old school combination lock for $525. I saved $125, AND got my safe back, better than it was before. I couldn’t be happier.Thanks Mike and Acme!

I took a motorcycle ignition to these guys a couple weeks ago and after leaving it over night was told it could not be re-keyed (i lost my only set of keys). at first i thought these guys to be honest and so i accepted that and took my ignition home only to take a closer look and find two fairly large dents in the top of my ignition around where the key goes in. luckily the dust cover still works and they didn't do any more damage or else id be out an ignition as well as my keys. i took the ignition to a different locksmith (Arizona Key Guys) who was able to disassemble it and make me 5 new keys in under an hour while i watched! its clear to me now that Acme Locksmith doesn't know what they are doing and are very careless when it comes to their jobs. i wont be returning anytime soon.

I give you guys an A++. I locked my keys in my car with it running and needed a quick locksmith. It was a bit late at night but Bryan answered the phone and politely took down my information, and within the hour he was unlocking my car. You guys rock.

We recently had a break in my car, which was parked in my driveway. The theif stole my keys, so that prompted our need for a locksmith. My husband googled locals, called for pricing & availability, & we settled on Acme. The gentleman that came out was kind, clean, friendly, went over & above the typlical service, spent a lot of time w/ us & wasn't rushing things. He gave us a lot of great tips on how to secure our home more, inways that didn't cost anything, or much at all. He was very informative on products & didn't make us feel like we were at a sales pitch. I posted our experiance on the local Laveen fb page as well, plus some of the tips he shared w/ us to help make everyone's home a little safer! Sure are happy w/ our service, feel safer in our home, & I didn't feel like the prices were bad at all, they actually saved us a lot of money compared to some other locksmiths! Needed a key for a 1995 nissan pick up I just bought cause the old key barely worked, which they discovered wasnt even the original key. The gentleman took the time to investigate each lock and ended up hand cutting and hand fitting a key that worked for all locks and the ignition. All for an affordable price. Truly a life saver. If you every want to test the skill of a locksmith lose the key to a Harley (not), early Sunday morning (3/15/15) I meet Matt and Big Mike at their shop as they searched the internet in vain for something called the cuts after I was able to provide them with the key code via the dealer, finally using 35 pictures of the spare key back in Tennessee and texted over by my wife, they built me a key through grit, determination and good old fashion trial and error. Most folks would have quit, these two didn't. Thanks guys, I appreciate it.

In store service, 1st week of May 2018.I went in to have a key made for a padlock which is over 20 years old. Our business has over 400 of these and throughout the years the keys have been damaged, lost, given to sister stores for the same reasons etc. We were down to our last few keys. They did not carry the blank for this padlock. They were able to find a different blank with matching key grooves but it was too thick to go into the padlock.The young lady there made the key and then hand grinded it thinner so it could go into the lock. After about 10 minutes it was thin enough to go in and work.While I needed multiple copies, and grinding each one thinner just won't cut it (pun intended) she did say she would submit our key to the company they purchase blanks from. Should they carry thhe key style blank, we can get quantity of right blank and keep them in store to have made later for future keys. Thanks for your help on this.

This is the second time I have used Acme to get auto security keys cut and programmed. Both times have been hassle free and in and out in about 15 minutes at less than half the cost of dealers.

Matt came out on Halloween night to let us into our house. We got locked out while giving out candy to the kids. He arrived within 30 minutes of calling and we were in our house about 5 minutes after arrival. Thanks again to them.
