I had a No Heat issue on a cold day right before the weekend with my forced air furnace. Don showed up 20 minutes later diagnosed the issue, retuned with the part and installed it. Furnace is back to making heat. Thanks for the quick response and repairs

I came in with an old outside water faucet valve. It was in pretty bad shape. Richard went above and beyond and rebuilt it for me. It was much appreciated. They have a customer for life.

I wanted to give a shout out to R & S for taking the time to attempt to help me solve an immediate issue by telephone since they were unable to fit me in until the following day. Despite the fact that I was able to find someone else to do the job (very poorly and frustratingly I might add) the representative on the phone took 20 min exchanging pictures of my business' furnace to help me try and get it temporarily working. Thanks R&S for your professionalism and kindness:)

Beginning in 2003, I hired R&S for all my heating work & repairs. On a particular job, I noticed threading on bolts securing the thermostat into my boiler, had been stripped. The following season, I hired R&S to repair a diaelectric coupling, at a cost of $125. I came back from a trip to the lower 48, and immediately noticed the coupling was leaking. When I called back, they sent a different plumber out, who stated it appeared the work had never been done. When I commented I was going to call the owner and ask for the work to be done correctly, the plumber walk his statement back. The owner refused to honor the warranty. After numerous of calls back, the owner relented to refund half the cost of the bill.

It was a Sunday -16 out and my furnace was out. I called anyway even though they were closed. Someone answered. I asked if I could buy a pressure switch. I thought it was the culprit. He advises me to try another thing. It worked! No money and heat at 16 below ! Thank you whoever that was!

Also broke a flame ignitor the week before, It was $42 there as opposed to $92 in town. Different brand but works great.

Had a leaking boiler. Called at about 2:45pm on a Sunday. Jeremy arrived in less that an hour and the leak was fixed by 4:30pm. Another great experience with R&S.

So my boiler/furnace was dripping water and I called R & S. They showed up on time, figured out the problem but the part was tough to find. Yet, 2 days later they found the part locally saving us from a shipment from Italy as it was a rare part. Installed it hours later. Leak fixed...Then, my Heater stopped working later that night. The technician came back, and my pump went out...he had a spare pump, installed and got me up and running in a matter of minutes. Knowledgeable technicians. Big shout out to Jeremy for the amazing service. Very professional service and at a good price. Would recommend to everyone.

Have used them for over 20 years. I have rarely been disappointed with the work.
I have had property managers use other plumbers with unsatisfactory results. I end up returning to R & S for quality work. As a customer you should always explain your expectations before engaging any contractor.

I used these guys twice so far. The first time they drained and cleaned the air out of the pipes, fixed the bladder immediately, cleaned up and talked to me about other possible problems I might be having. Then when the heat wasn't coming back on, they came back immediately and fixed the situation free of charge.
The second time wasn't the best experience but they did fix the water heater. He showed me the problem and that my water heater filter needs to be vacuumed periodically or it will not get the oxygen it needs to keep the pilot light lit. I was not so happy to pay the big bucks to watch the man vacuum for 5 minutes then leave but such is life. Now I know what to do. At least he showed me the problem and how to prevent it from happening again. That's why I gave them 4 stars.

We had a hot water heater installed a little over a year ago by R&S; The water heater became erratic a week ago and I called three times since requesting to speak with Don (The Owner) Only to be blocked by a person who identified himself as Trent. This individual was rude and unprofessional and said he would relay my request for the owner to call me. We never heard from the owner, and after a week I called again and Trent said Don was busy. I explained we were without hot water and Don had NOT returned my calls. Trent then said he would make an appointment for a week out! When I reiterated that we were without hot water AGAIN, he said they could come out sooner for time and a half and indicated that We would have to pay for the defective part as well!
So a warning to shoppers, If you purchase a unit from R&S, don't expect any support after that unless you pay dearly for it. Do NOT recommend!

First, they forgot the appointment to come to my house, but when I called they sent someone right by. The technician informed me that I needed a new water heater, took pictures, talked on the phone to his boss, and said they would get back to me with an estimate. More than a week later, they have not called back. I don't think they are bad guys, but apparently they are either very poorly organized or don't really care for residential work. Now I haven't had hot water in over a week, and I'll find someone else to do the job.

Overall Tom solved the problem by turning a dial on the broiler. 20 minutes total and after he left he called back because he could not remember if he replaced something on the unit. Be aware, Overtime starts at 4:20pm, not 5:00 like they will tell you. Happy with the results but not so much with trusting what they tell you!

Save yourself the headache of dealing with these people. They are always @holes whenever I stop in to buy parts and God forbid I actually need them to repair something for me. They never remember my account or have my service record in their system. Would give
less than star if possible. I've shopped elsewhere since, without running into same issues

I just had the most horrific experience with a driver working from R & S Plumbing and Heating. I am literally shaking from this man’s lack of human decency.
I haven’t been to Eagle River since the new McDonald’s was built. I’ve been pulling into their parking lot my entire life. So I wasn’t expecting that they’d changed to two enter and exit lanes when I pulled into the suicide lane on Eagle River road. There was a car pulling out of the lot which blocked my view of the exit sign in my line of sight. So I pulled in beside them as they pulled out with plenty of room.
That’s when I came face to face in my little car to this plumbing van. The man pointed to the exit sign, now clearly visible beside my vehicle. I promptly made a polite “oh my goodness, I clearly didn’t see that!” face/gesture before motioning, asking if he would back up a few feet and let me through. There was no one behind him at this point in our encounter.
Common decency and compassion would dictate the following response: this woman didn’t see the new sign, I’ll just back up a few feet and let her safely pass. Now she’ll know for future reference that the parking lot structure has changed.
That is not what this man did. No. He crossed his arms and shook his head and decided I needed to learn a lesson. He refused to move the few feet it would have taken for me to safely enter the lot. Instead he forced me to drive backward into oncoming traffic on the busy main road through Eagle River at lunchtime.
At this point I am flabbergasted that this man lacked all compassion and forced me into a dangerous situation because he simply refused to budge. At this point I’m upset that I, a pregnant woman with my mother, was faced with gunning it across three lanes backward to get to safety. At this point I’m absolutely baffled that he REFUSED to move a few feet to let me pass.
It gets better! When we could have walked away from this incident with only mild frustration at each other’s choices, that was apparently not enough for him.
The man exited the parking lot as he’d initially intended, leaving McDonald’s entirely. He then drove back around to the McDonald’s lot and waited for me to go through the drive thru so that he could yell at me! That’s right. After leaving the premises, he looped back around, parked, and waited for me to come back out [filming me as I pulled around the corner.] So I whipped out my cell phone, took a picture of him, and proceeded to leave the lot. Again driving the wrong way for sake of getting my picture. Which NO ONE else cared about or even noticed. THEN this man got out of his van and followed me around the parking lot on foot to continue to yell at me.
Needless to say, I left McDonald’s shaking and in tears, under waaaaay more stress than is healthy. We will never do business with R&S Plumbing and Heating. This man is everything that is wrong society, forcing someone into a dangerous situation because he was too inconsiderate to simply step aside and afford my mistake the smallest measure of grace. Then proceeding to lay in wait for me in order to escalate the situation further instead of going about his business. I’m starting my day absolutely horrified and trying to calm down. My baby does NOT need this level of stress 😭😫😱.
Update: when R&S was contacted, they laughed and weren’t at all concerned by the incident or their employee’s behavior.

Young man was rude, not really trying to help like an older person and then acted angery I came back for the right fittings owners son was exstreamly helpful yet the other two blond headed boys well they made it to where I will never go back or give them any of my business , I'll pay a hiee rate just so I don't have to deal with the fact that I am left as if I'm bothering them if your the owner you should truly assess the hired help. You have lost two customers do to there behaver. Thank you

Based on this I hope no one uses this company. How heartless! I too have used that McDonalds for years and probably would have accidentally done the same thing the first time! I won’t support a company this rude putting people in danger with their van for an innocent mistake and then stalking them to yell? No thank you!

Dude was insanely rude over the phone. I'm trying to explain the issues I'm having with a new faucet and he constantly interrupted me, AFTER I described the problem, saying he didn't know what I wanted.

I'd rather just cause water damage myself than deal with this guy ever again.

Our heating system went out yesterday morning. We called this company because they installed our heating system a few years ago. At 8:45 am they assured me they would come at some time that day. We called again at about 1:00 pm and they said we were second on their list after their scheduled customers for that day. It could be after 5, for which we would be charged overtime. We called again at 5:30 pm and was told they would be at our home in an hour. They never came or called or answered the phone again.
We called another company this morning and they arrived within an hour. We are so fortunate to have a wood stove. That and several electric heaters kept our pipes from freezing. There is no excuse for not showing up or at least calling. We will not call this company again.

Our heating went out it was 1*F outside and cold it the house. They were so quick to come out to fix, had parts with them. And told me how to keep it running smoothly in the future too. Couldn’t be happier!! Thank you
