I have two solar systems that are 14 and 12 years old. Justise came out because I noticed the production was down quite a bit, and he spent a good amount of time combing through them. In the end the fix was simply a blown fuse, but he checked all of the components. Considering the age of the systems we discussed eventually replacing them, but there were no pushy sales tactics and he was great to work with.When I set up the service appointment I also scheduled a cleaning of the systems. Charles came out and again did a quick overview of the systems before giving them a good cleaning. The impact on production was easy to see and well worth it. Again, he was great to work with.Their communication was on point, and both techs that came out were knowledgeable, friendly, and were here within the time frame that was scheduled. After each visit they provided a service report with a summary of their work, which included photos and notes for the visit.If I had to criticize something I'd say it is the cost. It wasn't unreasonable for the skill set and services provided, but who doesn't want to pay less? I think this company is great and will certainly call them again.

We are in the process of purchasing a new home that already has a solar system installed, and we know very little about solar in general. We wanted to make sure that the system was in good working order so we reached out to Solar Service for an inspection.They were awesome to work with! Jenna and Justice made the process so easy, and they were able to schedule ASAP for us to come out.The report they provide is easy to understand and Justice provide all the manufacture information in regards to the system as well as the documentation to change ownership with manufacture to make sure the warranty would transfer.

The technician didn’t show on time because the previous job ran over. This is understandable. But the technician DID come by after hours and look at my inverter. This is a plus since rescheduling would have been 6 days later.REVIEW UPDATE: New inverter was communicating with my mobile device. Matthew came out the next day and showed me what I was doing wrong and got my system communicating with my iPhone. Also, Jenna is extremely customer oriented. She worked with me via phone calls and texts to narrow down the issue.

We bought a home that had 2 pre-installed arrays in place and no information from previous owners about either. When one of the arrays stopped working, Solar Service was quick and efficient at coming out, diagnosing and fixing the problem. Electrician Justice came to repair our Solar on Monday after we called to schedule on Friday afternoon. He was here during the time frame we were told he would come, He was very polite and repaired the problem and explained the problem and provided contingency plan of problem recurs. The City of Austin called and said that my panels haven’t been generating electricity for a few months! The company that installed them went out of business. But thanks to the prior Google reviewers I found Solar Service, who were friendly and professional from the very start.Justise Price was my tech and he was very knowledgeable and thorough. He couldn’t find anything specifically wrong that caused it but got it back up and running- thank you!!! He showed me how to do a quick restart the next time this might happen. And apparently one of the installers had left a plastic protective peel-off cover on a monitor and he went the extra mile to peel it off despite it being baked on as it’s been a few years. Highly recommend this company! I hired them to check out and run me through my existing SMA system that came with the purchase of my residence. Not only was scheduling a service call easy and friendly (they actually answer the call or return messages quickly….no annoying push through menu to have to go thru), they were there in just a few days at a very reasonable price. I'm so glad Austin finally has solar panel cleaning and service company. Most solar panel companies only want to sell and install the panels and seem disinterested in cleaning or service.My panels were installed around 10 years ago and had never been cleaned. The Solar Service crew came out and cleaned my panels and checked the inverters for proper operation. Sadly solar panels diminish in power over the years but one of my strings of panels has degraded more quickly. Dirt buildup on the panels acts like a blanket and the additional heat degrades the panels even faster.My panels, when dirty, made 53.1 kWh on March 7, 2021 a perfect generating day. When clean, they made 54.9 kWh on March 15, 2021 which was partly cloudy in the afternoon.If you've got solar panels you need to keep them clean. Not just for the output but for the longevity of your panels. Call Solar Service and they'll improve your solar output.

Wasn't sure if my solar was working and my original installer went out of business. Solar Service diagnosed my problem, handled my equipment replacement warranty application with my manufacturer, and repaired my system within a week! I also ended up signing up for one of their service packages. Highly recommend.
