I am so happy with my new fans, and switches and light fixtures! They did an amazing job! Cleaned up after themselves! Hauled away all of the garbage! I am absolutely and totally happy with my results! Very kind workers! Very respectful of my home and things. They covered up furniture before working in the ceiling! They swept up and vacuumed up all the messes! Would highly recommend.

Shane Cornstubble did an excellent job, even with those silly lamb-chomps (is that where the name Cornstubble comes from?).

He installed two four-plug outlets and three fan switches, including the hookup to the light and fan. They cleaned up after themselves like professionals even after crawling in the attic.

I would definitely highly recommend them again!

I couldn't be happier with Dodson Electric! I had alot of electrical work for them to do: install 3 new ceiling fan/light fixtures, move one fan/light fixture, install new lights in kitchen, replace a breaker, move a light switch in a bathroom as well as install an additional power outlet outside. I had never used Dodson Electric before but had heard great things and I was not disappointed. It started when Chris and Nathan did their estimate. They both were very friendly but what impressed me was how Chris always made suggestions that would be an easier and cheaper fix. For example, I wanted to have the light switch in a bathroom moved to a different wall and Chris made the suggestion of installing an RF remote switch instead of having to completely remove the switch and cables, cutting into drywall, etc. The other company I had do an estimate did not suggest this. Nathan and Abraham were the electricians who performed the service and they were fantastic. Made sure to explain what they were doing and asking my opinion on everything and even adjusting if I wanted something a little different. I highly recommend and will use them again in the future when I need electrical services. Once the service was complete Chris reached out to me to make sure I was happy with the service. Fantastic company overall!

Chris Dodson and his staff at Dodson Electric were awesome! I had an issue in my home where my lights would dim and appliances were not working properly or breaker switches would trip. I looked for an electrician in my area that was reputable. I found others had given positive reviews about Dodson Electric, so I called and the staff listened with genuine concern to my issues and quickly got an appointment for me. They said electrician would contact me for greater details. The electrician, Chris, called and we discussed the problem and confirmed the appointment. Then Chris called me back and told me he thought the issue had to do with the transformer and I should contact the city.
As it turned out, it was the transformer. Chris Dodson was very knowledgeable, helpful but most of all, honest! He could have come over and charged me all sorts of fees for assessing the problem but didn't. Instead, he refused to charge me anything!
My apologies for the lengthy review, but I really appreciated what Chris and the Dodson Electric team did for me. They will be my go to for any and all my electrical needs in the future. Thank you again for all your help and for conducting your business with such a high standard of honesty!

very unhappy the bill did not match what they said it was at all they charged me over 200 dollars more. very shady i will not use them again I paid my bill and did right on my end regardless I can not say the same for this company. as for the people that came and did the work they did a very good job and where pretty cool to talk with.

Dodson technicians were very thorough and professional when they installed our ceiling fixtures. An existing light fixture needed to be removed from a vaulted ceiling before installing a new one. The team did an excellent job setting the new fixture in place. I would recommend their service to anyone.

Contacted Dodson Electric to repair a ceiling fan and provide a dedicated switch to control said fan. Once the switch issue was taken care of, they quickly determined the fan was causing the breaker to trip....So, once I returned the fan and replaced it, had Dodson come back out to install, which they did in less than 45 minutes. Loved I could get an appointment quickly and will definitely call them again if needed!

I sent them a message via the google quote tool and soon after Amber from Dodson Electric reached out to me to schedule a time for Chris to swing by. The issue was that some downstream outlets from the GFCI in the kitchen weren’t working. It was like this since I moved in 15 months ago. Chris was able to visit me the same day and knew exactly where to look and he promptly fixed it.

He earned bonus points by removing his shoes without me asking him to. Huge plus there. He’s prompt, professional, courteous, respectful, knowledgeable, and genuinely a great electrician. From start to finish the service was top-notch. I highly recommend him to anyone reading this and will share his info with folks who have electrical issues around me.

We have used Dodson electric to install fans, chandeliers, and to upgrade recessed lighting. We most recently had to have all the wiring for our pool equipment rewired and they did a great job. The technician was friendly, honest, and on time. Great communication. We will continue to use for future needs

I have used Dodson Electric Twice since moving to the area ~1.5 years ago. Once to install some new ceiling fans and most recently to swap a chandelier light fixture at a very high ceiling point.
Generally I have been happy with the work. Their staff has always been friendly. Their prices are relatively competitive if not slightly high. but they are usually willing to work with you with discounts, etc.
All this being said I was a little disappointed with my most recent experience. I'd also like to preface this by saying the issue was technically my mistake.
They swapped in a new chandelier style light fixture with 5 hanging glass globe lights. The ceiling is over 18ft in this area. They did the work in just over an hour, which seemed quite fast. Cost was $282, which was a bit higher than we wanted to spend on it, but it is a very high ceiling, so we couldn't really do it ourselves.
Whey they finished I said it looked good and snapped a couple pictures for my wife. When I sent them to her she said the lights were intended to be installed in a staggered pattern. Not all the same length. The Dodson tech had just pulled back out of my driveway, so I quickly called their main number and asked if they could come back and adjust the lengths. Was told they would call the tech. I didn't get a call back so I called back and asked if she was able to speak with the tech. I was told they could come back, but I'd be charged an additional $150. So $282 for about an hours work, and another $150 to come back almost right after they left to make adjustments. $432 to swap a light fixture.
Again. I did say it looked ok. As soon as I realized it wasn't. Seconds after they left my home. I tried to contact them. It would have been very nice if they could have worked with me, and not just charge me another $150 for what I assume would have taken less than 15 minutes.
With this I would be hesitant to use their services again or to recommend their services to others.

I didn't expect the tech to read my mind. It was my mistake that I said it looked ok when it was wrong. Which is why I tried to call as quickly as I could to explain what happened. The only answer was that it would be an additional $150. Since then the owner took $150 off of my invoice. I was and still am perfectly fine paying the price we agreed to for the installation. I just hoped that after I found out something was wrong that something could have been done. My phone number is on file. No one called or left any messages. I just got an email that the owner had responded to my review. Seems like a misunderstanding that has gotten out of hand.

Timely response to my request. On time for when scheduled. Great phone customer service. Price was great for the services performed. When the work was done, they observed something needed (a cover plate) and took care of it. Checked up later to make sure everything done was in good order. Highly recommend this company. Friendly, responsive, good price, quality work.

Awesome dudes. Came in, listened to my issues, and knew exactly what to do. They noticed some issues with my previous electrical work and gave me choices in how would I like them to fix it (if I wanted them to). I did not feel pressured at all as they just accepted what I chose. I hate calling out electricians, but Dodson Electric made me feel so comfortable that I will use them in the future without hesitation. The price seemed pretty good as it was less than what I budgeted for.

They did a great job and went above and beyond when at our home. While they were here doing the job we had hired them for, we asked if they would be okay installing outside ceiling fans. They waited here while we went to purchase the fans, when we got back we realized we were missing something to install them, so they again waited patiently for us to go back to the store to get the required hardware. They were great, they worked quickly, they didn't leave any mess, and the quality of the work was awesome

Other than getting to the appointment earlier than scheduled (who complains about that?!?) , they were great. They replaced a breaker that kept flipping and replaced several outlets. They were knowledgeable, polite and extremely competent. I would recommend and will use in the future if need be.

I've used this group for a couple of projects now, and will be using them for my electrical needs moving forward (including a big one we're going to focus on in the Spring!). They're very punctual, easy to work with, and I have been very satisfied with the quality of their work every time. Glad to recommend them and glad to hire them!

Our first time using them & we are pleased. We got our flood cam security installed, they took care of patio outlets & light switch in the back that diidnt work. Arrived on time, courteous, communicated everything to us & fair pricing. The work was just recently done & I might give a follow-up review sometime next year as to how things are working. Overall a very good job done.

Had a fantastic experience with Dodson Electric handling my problem quickly and efficiently. Chris, the owner came out the first time I called and gave me his opinion on how to fix underground electrical for my pool if sprinkler people did not fix. I had to call Chris back since sprinkler people did not have a plan to fix problem. He had his two men out on Monday morning following 4th of July and fixed the problem and while there fixed a few other things at additional cost for me. The team of were great. Dodson Electric was recommended to me by a friend Joe who has rent houses and thanks to him for starting way to fixing my problem. yes, would definitely use again.

Showed up on time, and did quick, quality work. Homebuilder screwed up some wiring, but Chris tracked down the issue fairly quickly and got it all taken care of with no problem. Great attitude and friendly the entire time. I'll use them again in the future the next time I have any issues.

I purchased an induction stovetop that required 240v wiring. Luckily the house was pre-wired with 240, but I needed the wiring connected to the stove. Chris came by on very short notice and had everything working in about 10 minutes! Very pleased with his work, and ability to respond on very short notice. I would highly recommend Dodson Electric for any electrical needs you might have.

Chris Dodson is a professional that you can trust. He has integrity and will work with you to fix any bad scenarios you may have. He and his crew came in quick and helped me and my wife have peace of mind after a horrendous contractor job went south!! Very trustworthy! You get what you pay for good or bad and Chris was good with very fair pricing.

This was our second time using Dodson, because our first experience was overall very good. I requested estimate to install coach lights and requested estimate to install security cameras. They sent estimate for light installation and I called to confirm the pricing and scope of work and verified that they knew we did not currently have lights, and also sent at least 3 emails back and forth advising they were coach and not floodlights, and was advised each time the estimate was correct. They called the morning of scheduled installation at the time they were supposed to have arrived, saying they couldn’t do the job for that amount. I responded that I’d asked multiple times and was advised it was correct estimate before install day. They responded that they could come and do another estimate for the work and provide estimate for the security cameras at that time. I advised when they arrived that I’d questioned at least 3 times and was advised their estimate was correct. They didn’t honor their written estimate and brushed it off as no big deal. We reluctantly proceeded with the work because we had taken the day off for the installation. When we were invoiced, they upcharged retail cost of the light fixture - that they offered to pick up because they needed to go get additional supplies for the job. We also needed to go to same store to pick up an order, so we wouldn’t have agreed to have them purchase the item if we knew they would be charging us to do so. When we asked them to correct it, they reinvoiced it separately reducing the discount that was previously applied on original invoice. This was some of the worst customer service I have seen. Lesson learned - if this ever happens again with any service provider, we will just decline the service altogether! Should’ve been a red flag with the way the original estimate was handled.

I have used Chris and his team several times. Once for some repairs from a home inspection and a small accident I made while cutting some wood paneling in my mud room. Both jobs had very quick turn around time. He was able to get both jobs for my home scheduled in a day or so. I will definitely use them again for future projects.

Replaced builder's grade electrical outlets, one that had sparked and smoked. Last May Dodson Electric also installed our high voltage power system for our patio spa. Very well run company with quality electricians.

We were having trouble locating the breakers and circuits that controlled the emergency lighting at our church and school complex. The Dodson Electric electricians found and identified the safety circuits very quickly. They very professional and they arrived early instead of late. Finally, the price they charged was very reasonable.

These guys are awesome! Chris gave me a reasonable quote for a unreasonable job. His guys were great. They were very persistent and had to overcome some challenges that were unanticipated. They got the job done and were very professional.

I have had the Dodson Electric guys come out and wire up several new CNC machines at different times as well as a complete rewrite of my 15k sq/ft commercial building. They are fast and always looking for creative ways to provide high quality solutions and save you money. Highly recommend.

I had been having flickering lights in my house for over 6 months every time any appliance with a decent draw to hit kicked on. The agitation cycle on my washing machine made the lights in the house look more like a disco. My battery backups were constantly alerting of voltage drops, and I never knew when D-day was going to come for anything not on a battery backup.

Fortunately, Chris Dodson came to the rescue. He originally came out in March and tested all the lines, determining that the issue was on the electric company side. Of this I had little doubt, but after Tri-County had come and gone, the flickering lights remained. Fearing the worst case scenario of a high bill to change out the breaker box (a possibility at the time), I finally made the call to have Chris come out again in June. Why I waited so long is beyond me.

Chris came back out and re-tested all the lines and answered all my (probably ignorant) questions about possible causes. It was again determined that the electric company needed to check the lines. Chris was willing to hang around until the electric company guys arrived so that they were hearing the word from a licensed electrician, and not some worrisome homeowner. Taking Chris's advice to heart, Tri-County checked, pulled, and re-seated all power lines at the box (sorry for the short power outage neighbors), and just like that all was right in the world (well... house).

Thanks to Chris's willingness to hang around some extra time on a Friday when he should already be off the clock, my power is stable again and I no longer have to worry about battery backups waking me up at all hours of the night and random strangers mistaking my house for a disco club.

Chris was very efficient in every way, starting with giving the first quote, responding to my changes with my new quote, then getting the work done and doing a good job. They were also very kind, courteous and respectful.

We weren't able to use their services this time around, but Tammy in the office is a pro. She definitely needs a raise! :) The owner is quick to respond and I look forward to the opportunity to use them in the future.
