Best A New Roof in Phoenix AZ

My wife and I purchased our Home, a Midcentury Modern built in 1955 by Ralph Haver in the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix. The Home had original ungrounded wiring with exposed wire splicing. There were also two rooms that were added by a previous owner without permits.

Ultimately, we wanted to fully restore our Home to its original character, while at the same time, installing all of the safety, amenities and conveniences found in homes of new construction today.

We interviewed a handful of contactors for this task, Steve Shinn from Homework Remodels being one of them. Steve immediately stood out from the group. We found him easy to talk to, prompt and extremely knowledgeable with the historic characteristics of our Haver Home.

With Steve’s help, we nearly rebuilt most of the major components of our Home. When it was said and done, we upgraded the entire wiring and electric panel, installed new HVAC main unit and ducting lines, replaced all of the plumbing lines (both supply and drain lines including the sewer), installed LED recessed lighting throughout the Home, constructed a stem wall, a trench drain and added mini split HVAC units which the City required for issuing permits for the two unpermitted rooms, installed a 16” slider to the backyard, utilized steel beams to remove loan bearing walls in order to open up the kitchen and the living rooms, installed a tankless water heater system, applied sprayed insulation in the small attic, and performed various other upgrades.

We are very happy with Steve’s work. We found Steve’s work to be of high quality and found Steve’s expertise and creativity in helping rebuild our Haver Home to be invaluable.

We plan on hiring Steve in the near future to complete Phase 2 of our Home, which will include all of the finishes.

PCC is definitely a five-star company. I spoke with eight different roofing companies and received multi appraisals and after some extensive research decided to go with PCC for a roof replacement project. Sean came out to the house, he was very communicative about the materials he was going to use, the timelines, and a basic entire outline how he was going to approach and finish our roofing project. Let me say he wasn’t the cheapest, but it also wasn’t the most expensive. All things considered he was more than adequately priced- their pricing was downright fair. They loaded the roof with the materials, and as discussed - two days later they were started on the project. The crew showed up on time, they were relatively quiet, respectful, and very applied to what they were doing. The roof was done inside of two days and looks totally awesome. I was also done a week ahead of schedule. It was actually a quite pleasurable experience. The crew cleaned the property to the point where you couldn’t even tell they were there, a final walk-through was completed after the crew left by Sean’s brother.
