Wonders of Wood Kitchen Remodeling
I’m so happy with the work Wonders of Wood did for me. We asked them to repaint existing cabinets as well as design and install custom cabinets. They kept to their schedule, they were professional, and their work was great. The reason I’m giving them 5 stars though is because of their customer service. There were a couple hiccoughs in the process, for example they installed the wrong drawer panels. When I contacted them they immediately took accountability and remedies the error. The fact that they don’t hesitate to make it right for the customer makes them one of the best in the industry as far as I’m concerned!

Closets by Design - Phoenix Kitchen Remodeling
We contracted with Closets by Design to install a custom home office. We signed a contract at the end of January and had an install date of mid-June. The installers arrived on the install date with cabinets, but they did not have doors, countertops, or drawer fronts. We were not notified prior to the install regarding the missing materials. What is the point of installing a home office without countertops, doors, and drawer fronts?

The install team removed the baseboards in our office and quickly realized there was an issue with the cabinets. The pre-drilled holes were not matching up with the cam locks. How does this happen and where is the quality control? The installers had to pack everything up and take the cabinets back with them.

The next morning I called Glen, the install manager, and he assured me the problem had been fixed and the team would be back out to install the following Wednesday (one week after initial install date). He said the installers would be coming back with everything including doors, drawer fronts, and countertops. On the day of the re-scheduled install, Glen called to say his installer was sick and they could not do the install. He said he would work with scheduling to re-schedule our install. I have not heard from Closets by Design since. Since our install was cancelled, I have called the scheduling department multiple times. First, I was told that Glen was not available, but scheduling would leave a message for him to call me back. I never received a call back. The next time I called I was told Glen is no longer with the company and the new manager, James would be reaching out to me to schedule the date to finish my project. I still have not received a phone call. I reached out to our designer, Nita, about the issues I was having and never received a response.

Our contract states that an additional 10% charge will be assessed for scheduling changes made less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled installation date. If postponement occurs the day of scheduled installation, a 20% charge will be assessed. However, Closets by Design is not responsible to us for cancelling on the day of installation. They're not responsible to us for the hours we've missed work to make sure we are available for the install. They're not responsible to use for the baseboards they removed.

I do not recommend this company. I have made multiple attempts to contact them and have given the company many opportunities to make this right. If we don't hear from Closets by Design, we will be seeking legal recourse and will be using a different company for future projects.
