I would give Solarm City zero starts if I could. We got SCAMMED big time by this guy. We hired him through Task Rabbit. After estimating the job, he insisted he needed to take the job outside the ambit of Task Rabbit and charge us directly, through his own company. We didn't realize it at the time, but he did that in order to avoid any quality control/sanctions that might be available through Task Rabbit. He then started the job - which was to touch up baseboard paint - and proceeded to do a terrible job. Left the job half finished. When we asked him to return to finish up, he began threatening us. We thought ok, we'll just report him to the ROC. But Solarm City made it clear to us that the reason he broke up our payment into chunks less than $1000 each was because the ROC won't deal with any complaints less than $1000. He did that on purpose knowing it would prohibit us from being able to file a complaint. In the end, he made several threats against our safety, which was terrifying. I strongly advise you not to hire this scam artist. You will regret it.
