Best Training Courses in Columbus OH
Very rude and unprofessional.
After contacting The Electrical Trades Center I felt really stupid.
I contacted them to inquire about their training program and to get general information. My wife and I are changing careers and we both have disabilities. I contacted them inquiring about about becoming a electrician and to see if it was possible for a low vision individual. I had already done some research and I wanted to reach out to see if they have worked with any else with a disability or if a women, who has never done a trade before, if it would be a suitable fit.
Unfortunately, I was met with You should do your own Google search, I do not have time to talk to you about it. I felt like I was scorned for asking questions as if I was wasting her time, however, I just wanted to inquire about the details that I was unable to find out about. I felt like the person who answered the phone was indifferent and I felt insulted, but you get used to that being disabled.
During our conversation, I was insulted with We do not normally do that and we can not advise you on the training, you should read our website. I told her I was on the website currently, and did not have much info about on the job training or the physical limitations. I contacted them because Google did not have much information about low vision individuals becoming inside wireman. I was told to do my own research.
Overall, a very poor experience over the phone. If that is the attitude, professionalism and mindset of their office personal, I question their ability to train others and I will more than likely pass on this place.
