I had a long list of electrical updates I needed completed - wiring up attic fans, conduit and outlets indoor and outdoor, a larger service panel, new ground on the water main, putting several sets of outlets on their own circuits, and a few other things. Derek came out to do the estimate and spent at least an hour inspecting the entire system and also walking through all of the updates I needed. He was very nice and answered all my questions thoroughly. I was able to book a day to have all of the work done within the next week.The team showed up at exactly the time they said they would with several vans of equipment and three guys - Eric, Robert, and Yaro. They walked through everything with me again, listening and asking questions to make sure they understood the details. Eric ran through what they were going to do at each step and the other guys also checked in periodically to make sure what they were going to do was exactly what I wanted. They did a great job. They even temporarily ran electric to my office so I could continue working and use the internet while they did the work. At the end, Eric walked me through everything they did and mentioned that he lived nearby. Apparently all their guys do. If you are looking for experienced electricians that live in and around Northwest Chicago neighborhoods, I would recommend Arnold.I don’t often have a ton of electrical work done and I did not shop around for a deal. So I can’t really say whether the price was good or bad - it was significant but I was also having a lot of work done with an entire crew at my house for 8 hours and a new service panel. But I can say that I contacted several electricians and even ones that came recommended by neighborhood groups. The Arnold team was the only one to respond and they did so immediately. Regardless of price, I was happy with my choice and it was nice to hire a team that clearly has their act together from start to finish. I would definitely hire them again.
