When it comes to electrical expertise, Mehdi is outstanding. He is very knowledgeable and provides responses that I with minimal knowledge can understand. I was fortunate enough to find Michael with A Custom Electric. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and kind. Best of all, he has work ethic and actually cares. He also had the best pricing in town!! Powell Electric tried to charge $99 just to come out and look at the problem for example! Compared to prior electricians used & another estimate received, Michael was half the price and did a FANTASTIC JOB! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND A CUSTOM ELECTRIC!!! Almost impossible to believe--charged me $890 for a job I learned later could have been accomplished by changing to a different kind of bulb! The tipoff to their suspect way of business is that they refuse to give breakdowns. That means you never know what you paid for materials and what you paid for labor. It's in their contract, but they didn't show me the contract until after the work was done. That's when I saw no breakdowns. Had they dealt honestly and let me see that at the start, I would NEVER have hired them. I have researched and now know the materials cost under $50 and so the $840 was for about two hours work.
$420 an hour, not bad. Demand the contract first. See where it says no breakdowns, and say Goodbye.
