Knowledgable electrician Jonathan came to put up a chandelier and to repair a faulty wall light switch. He was personable, positive &super-careful not to burden me with helping him (but I was fine w helping).

I spoke to Alex (son) on the phone and he was upfront with me about having to source out my unknown problem.
He quoted me a service price and said it could be higher once the problem was found. He was very meticulous and he talked me though the steps he was taking. After trying many things Alex was able to locate and fix the problem. Since he was here I had him look over my house for other potential problems. He found some so I had him fix them. The price was right. His professionalism, courtesy and honesty was Greatly appreciated. Thanks Alex for your 6 star work.

Arrived within the window that they said they would! Electrician was very friendly and explained every detail of what he was going to do and how he was going to do it.

I was of course shocked when my phone call was answered promptly. I've hung up on businesses after being on hold for over an hour! They came out promptly and Eduardo was knowledgeable, professional, courteous and even made some suggestions on how to make my electrical service perform better. Not BBB accredited? I see why. With a 4hr. window, on first appointment, no show until after window was up. Second appointment, with a 2hr. window, no call/no show. Third appointment, with a 1hr. window. no call/no show. This no way to do business. I'm DONE.

I went out on errands exactly at noon then I received your call while driving and we set up for the next day with a 2hr window you missed. And I had to ASK for the senior discount on the second go-round (you missed).
I communicated in test messages so I have proof of what we agreed upon. Can you read? Don't LIE.

I have used this firm on two occasions to address electrical deficiencies at my 1910-built home in Pasadena. The first time was to replace a bad breaker in our panel which they did by replacing it, but also relocating it to a different position (the bus bar in the original location was part of the problem). On the second occasion I had an outside outlet I had trouble with. They pointed out that the original installation was not actually outdoor rated and not only fixed the outlet, but also installed and properly wired an outdoor rated junction box and cover.

On both occasions all of the problems and all of the proposed repairs were discussed in advance of the work, with the final decision about what to do was left up to me (in all cases that decision was to do the repair correctly and remove any risk from improperly installed materials from the house’s past).

On both occasions the assigned electrician was Ara and his helper Henry. They were, at all times, very professional, respectful, and informative. I am very pleased with my experiences with SDS Electric and plan to use them again in the future.
