The water heater in my mother-in-laws house started to leak after only 4 years in service. I checked the installation of the old one and found it to be very shoddy. It sits outside in a dedicated closet. The installation details were not filled out, it was not in a pan but sitting on the cement floor. The connections were not really that secure. I shut it all down, and told her to call Bill Howe. They came out last year and fixed a clogged main line with great efficiency.She told me it was installed, so I went over to check it out. The installation was very good. It is now centered in the closet, sitting in a non-rust pan raised off the ground, all the paperwork is accessible, the details are filled out on the stickers, the plumbing and gas lines are new and properly routed. Just an outstanding job and great attention to detail all around.They are local and care about what they do, more so than other plumbers and pipe-fitters I have dealt with. The team is knowledgeable and friendly. If they don't know, they ask! Parts are stocked in the truck so delays are not an issue.If you need any plumbing work done, give Bill Howe a call. My experience was very disappointing. My understanding was the estimate / determination of the Water Leak was free. Technician looked at the ceiling and all the interior walls, before he would look at the exterior wall, where we leak was coming from, he refused to proceed without $225.00. - how can you provide a FREE estimate if you are unsure of what needs to be done?
