Excellent plumber! Helped us remodel our kitchen, including changing the footprint by cutting the slab and reworking the plumbing lines. Highly recommend based on competence, and professionalism. His pricing is fair, we had several bids with some higher and some lower, but he did the job right and right on time! It was excellent value. He was quite helpful to other contractors on the job as well and even corrected a mistake made by someone else.

REVIEW #2:A couple of months ago, we started hearing some loud sounds/bangs (like a shotgun going off). We figured something was happening in our neighborhood. These sounds continued, but randomly. Kept checking Next Door, but nothing was talked about or reported. After paying a little closer attention, I realized these bangs were coinciding with the use of hot water in our house. I went into our garage & realized something was exploding inside our tankless water heater whenever we called for hot water from inside our home. The frequency of the banging quickly worsened. Because of this, I turned off & unplugged our whole tankless water system.I contacted Gold Star Plumbing on 11/26/22 (remembering how awesome they'd been when they came to our home the prior June). I think I reached Rachelle again (who had really helped us before). I told her all that was happening & specifically asked if we could have Chris as our technician. She really worked with us & was able to give us Chris' 1st available appointment. Shortly after hanging up, I rec'd a follow up email confirmation letting us when Chris was coming.Chris & Izaak arrived shortly before 11am on 11/28/22. As we were heading towards our sick water heater, I tried to prepare them for what was coming. After the noise repeated itself, they were shocked & our unit was very quickly shut off. (They stated they’d NEVER heard a Navien make a noise like what they had just heard. And these guys are preferred Navien installers!)They took some pictures of the unit as it was. Then, took off the front cover. Took more pictures & even contacted their Navien rep trying to maybe get Navien to help us out with the cost (maybe under a warranty, or something), but then they had to break the bad news to us. Our Navien unit had NEVER been installed correctly, so there was no way Navien could warranty it & it was now unsalvageable. (Our prior plumbing company we’d trusted for over 10 years sold us two separate tankless water systems in the span of 7 years. They stated the first one was not fixable. We've since learned they'd never installed the correct adapter parts on one, or maybe even both, of these units to accommodate the usage of propane, rather than natural gas as we found the necessary parts still in their original packaging & melted onto the inside of our unit. Mini explosions had been taking place inside the Navien. All in all, we're EXTREMELY lucky we didn't lose our home &/or someone living in it due to a gas explosion.) We also learned the Nuvo Manor Whole Home filtration system this other company sold us, wasn't doing anything. (This was clear from the calcium build up on all our faucets & multiple plumbing fixtures that were no longer functioning throughout our home.)After receiving the shock of all this news, we assessed our options & decided to put in another Navien unit. We also chose to install a new water softener & we also moved forward with the installation of several new faucets (as they had also become inoperable). While here, we also chose to have them work on some other things in our home that needed some TLCThe front office staff worked hard to make sure we had our hot water up & running as soon as possible (as we hadn't had any for a couple of days). They worked with us on our financing options, too, as funds were going to be an issue. All in all, we had the pleasure of being able to work with Chris B., Luis A., Richard C., Jose C. & Izaak B., as several Gold Star technicians were needed to work at our home for nearly an entire week.I truly can't say a bad thing about any of these guys. Every one of them was so professional & personable. They worked long & hard to get everything fixed for us as quickly as possible & never once complained. They were so good about keeping me informed on all they were doing. And, when they left, things looked cleaner than they did when they arrived.I just can't say enough positive things about this company. Each employee really lives up to their Gold Star name, too, that's for sure!
