Called them in for replacement of water heater in attic. Told them on the phone two days earlier that my attic has no ladder or stair access, and they would have to bring in their own ladder. They told me they would send two guys with their own ladder so they can lift water heater into attic and quoted me approximately $1,900 to $2,000. Tech came two days later and quoted me $4,000 for replacement. Nothing changed in the situation, and he was unaware they the office had quoted me $1,900 - $2,000.... so he basically tried to rip us off... Once I told him what their office had quoted me, he got very defensive and couldn't really explain why the price had doubled. Said that he would need 3-4 guys and it would take all day”. I of-course did not use them…Called another plumbing service (A-1) and they took care of replacement and haul away for less than $1,900 with two guys and were finished in 3 hours....

This service technician Aaron was very professional and did an awesome job I would recommend plumbing connection to anyone.

I first heard about Plumbing Connection on the Neighborhood Webpage and all of the comments were extremely positive. I used them several months ago for a plumbing leak and was satisfied. Today I had them come out because my garbage disposal was not working. Also, water was coming out from my dishwasher onto the floor. The dishwasher had not been working for a long time. Another plumbing company came out about a year ago and said I would be better off replacing it. I just kept putting it off. Today Chip and Aaron came out and went right to work. 30 minutes later, my garbage disposal was working and so was my dishwasher. To say that I am happy with the service I received is an understatement!!!! Besides getting everything working very quickly, they sent a text they were on the way and were very punctual with the time I was initially given. As far as I'm concerned, they are the ONLY plumbing company in Gastonia I will ever use. Thank you Chip and Aaron for a job well done!!!!!!!

Jim and Chip were a pleasure to work with and handled my issue extremely quickly, thoroughly and professionally. This was the second time I've used Plumbing Connection. I had a leak in my water line adjacent to my water meter. The city water department came out and gave me the Clark Griswold Grand Canyon head bob and said it was my responsibility. I called Plumbing Connection on that Monday and they set an appointment between the hours of 1 and 3 PM on Thursday, 10/20/22. Sure enough, Chip showed up within that time frame. How refreshing it is when a company does what it says it's going to do. In our recent experience, that level of service has been tough to come by.

Chip explained the cost up front which I thought was reasonable and what could happen if it turned out not to be a simple repair. Chip was very personable and professional. Good guy. He found the leak almost immediately but had to chop his way through tree roots to get to the line in order to repair it which was also what caused the problem in the first place. He got all those cleared out and in a couple of hours the leak was repaired and the water back on. The cost of the repair turned out to be only a few more dollars than the original estimate.

As stated, it's nice in these times to find dependable service and I think I found it with Plumbing Connection. They'll be my go to for any plumbing needs going forward without a doubt.

These guys are fantastic. They are knowledgeable, professional, honest and personable. I have been a pest management professional for 15 years and the home I moved into during the winter turned out to have the most severe fly problem I have ever seen once the warmer months hit. Knowing what I was seeing and where they come from, I knew the only logical source was a busted sewer pipe. My home is on a slab so I immediately started thinking it would be an insane cost to fix. I had 4 other plumbers come out, including one that charged me $700 for a smoke test and no one could find anything and no one believed me it had to the plumbing. It took a few visits, and a second smoke test, but they found my cracked vent pipe in my attic, just a few feet away from my air unit. I've started recommending them to everyone. Taylor was extremely helpful, he repaired the leak I called for and took the time to fix a couple of other minor plumbing issues issues I had. The price was reasonable and he explained everything. I will definitely use Plumbing Connection again and would recommend!

Plumbing connection made things easy by allowing me to text them to setup an appointment. The guy called prior to arriving and arrived on time! It took him about 10 minutes to find what he believes is the problem and fixed it! He also asked “are there any other issues you want me to check out while I am here?” Not many companies do that especially when I had my money ready to pay. I really appreciate their business and would recommend to everyone!

What a easy experience this was! We had our whole house repiped and we did our homework and they were not only highly recommended but the price was where we expected. Chip and the guys were very professional yet very kind to Stop and answer questions we had. They had one fella come inside ( and always took his shoes off!) and 2 others outside and under the house. They were able to get 85% done the first day and fixed it where we had a working bathroom and sink for overnight. They were back the next day and worked until they had checked and doubled checked each fitting, sink and toilet. They replaced a shower head and even hooked up a new toilet and vanity. They wiped everything down as they worked and asked if we needed anything else. Minor hiccup with a runoff issue and Chip came by and took care of it himself. Jim has been a huge help in many decisions and patient when we had more questions. Heck he even comes back 2-3 weeks after to make sure all is good. Chip from Plumbing Connections called me before coming out to make a service call, and spent about an hour at the house doing a thorough inspection. He identified the problem and gave me a VERY affordable quote both for a spot fix, and if I wanted to replace the length of the main line. He made valuable suggestions and was very thorough in answering my questions. The following day, Chip and Mike returned in a punctual manner, and both gentlemen set to work, diligently resolving the issue in under 4 hours. They left the work site clean and were both top notch in courteousness and professionalism. Sharon at the Plumbing Connections Gastonia office also deserves mention. She was already dialing me back as I was leaving a voicemail for them! How's that for quick service?

Chip was really helpful! Our water heater had been leaking for a while and it needed to be replaced (it was original to our house). Chip was efficient and friendly. He was able to give us a quote within a few minutes for a new water heater. He came out a day and half later and replaced the old one within a few hours. He even cleaned up a lot of the leaky mess and gave me tips on how to clean up the rest. We would highly recommend Plumbing Connection and we would use them again!

I have found my new plumber! I never expected to get a plumber on a Monday but I did with the Plumbers Connection. I called in the morning, got live person on the phone and my plumber arrived just after lunch. He was personable and polite and cleaned up after the repair. I called to get help locating a small water leak somewhere between my water meter and house (I didn't know if it was in the yard or under the slab). I was asked to sit tight until I could talk through the issue with Jim, the owner. As I'm in Charlotte, I was skeptical, as most of our local plumbers are big corporate shops and I didn't think I'd hear back. 15 minutes later Jim calls me, walks through my problem with me, and throws out a solution that was far more sensible than what I had heard from anyone else I had spoken to. I booked the visit.

A few days later Jim and his team showed up as scheduled. They found the leak immediately, walked me through the solution and cost, and then got to work! Unfortunately, they hit a bunch of tree roots in my yard that meant they'd need an excavator to finish their work. Despite the setback, and the additional cost of having to drag an excavator out to my house in Charlotte from Gastonia, Jim stuck to his original quote and wrapped up the work as promised.

It's hard to find people that are this approachable, honest, and professional. You can't go wrong here.

I have had several occasions to really need a plumber. Jim was there exactly when he said he would be there. My problem was resolved quickly and perfectly. The whole crew is like family and they take care of you like you are family. It was a big job at my house. I had acidic hard well water. Jim teaches, recommends and allows you to choose what is best for your situation. For me, they completely replaced every water line from the well to every sink, toilet, shower. They also installed a top of the line filtration system that is very low maintenance. The drywall was repaired. All clean up done. They did follow up. Came out to tweak a few things. And it was $500+ under their estimate. Without hesitation, I recommend Plumbing Connection.

We needed a special type of repair to our storm drain pipe. Trenching wasn't an option so Plumbing Connection offers a service called Point Patch. We also needed some major repairs to the plumbing under the house and they were able to get us worked in so we could get our closing scheduled in a timely matter.

Jim (the owner) and Mike (his employee) were super nice, very knowledgeable and very professional. I was without water and reached out to Jim about 11:30 this morning. He responded immediately to find out about my issue and they were at my house by 2:00; they squeezed me in today. They immediately knew the solution and fixed it right away. I was having an issue with my HOA, in regards to this issue, and Jim intervened on my behalf. I hope I don't have future plumbing issues but if I do, I know who I will call !

9/17/2021 - most recent service was today.

We have a rental property and our tenant called informing us that there was no hot water. I immediately called Plumbing Connection and I even called Chip Martin (the main technician since he had been to the rental the day before). Chip immediately called me back and after I explained the issue, he stopped by on his way to work. He inspected the work the electrician had performed the day before and found what could be the issue. Chip did what he could since he was not in his work truck (didn't have all the tools in her personal vehicle); informing me that he would stop back by after he switched into his truck. As promised, Chip swung back by about 1 hour later and was able to permanently fix the issue by replacing fuses that he picked up on his way over. Chip is always SO thorough and knowledgeable, going above and beyond my expectations! I've had the pleasure of working with Chip and Jim (the owner of Plumbing Connection) for over 4 years and I am always singing their praises and referring them whenever anyone asks about a plumber! They will always be my 'go-to' guys!

Chip was very knowledgeable and thorough. He explained why the pressure release was leaking on the upstairs water heater and at what range the pressure should be set. Chip also told us the tell tale signs to be aware of. He explained everything very clearly. He and Joseph replaced the faulty part and set the pressure at a safe level. They were done in no time. Our washer hookups were leaking and based on reviews, we called Plumbing Connection. Our appt was at 1pm but they had an earlier opening and came out! The hookups were fixed (they even look much nicer than before!) in a timely manner & now we can wash clothes again! These guys (Jim, Chip and one other) are incredible - highly recommend. We were without water for about 5 days, one of the water pipes in my front yard was leaking a lot. It was a complicated job to find where the leak was located since the front yard is on a hill and there is a brick wall and the sidewalk in the way. They worked their magic to find the leak and repair a pipe that was shoddily fixed by previous plumbers. They really know their stuff! They dug a hole in my front yard and tore up the sidewalk to access the pipes, but fully cleaned up after their job was done - it was as if they weren't even there! Really appreciate their calm demeanor, commitment to solving complicated problems, and plumbing knowledge - can't recommend them enough!! Thank you!!!

We had Plumbing Connection fix a significant amount of plumbing under the house, cutting out old cracked cast iron, and replacing the plumbing all the way up to the flange on one of the toilets. It was a big and messy job, and they knocked it out of the park. Derek, Bryant, and Brian did a great job and were super friendly on top of that. It's hard to find professionals that show up on time and get the work done faster than promised, and that's exactly what they did. They even fixed another section of the plumbing that wasn't done correctly that wasn't part of the project and didn't even charge us. Great people, great company!

Never thought I could be so excited about a plumbing job! But an old sewer line was in bad shape and Jim Bridges and John Watts came to my rescue. Without having to dig up our yard and basement, they lined the pipe to perfection. They are consummate pros who really know what they are doing. They keep a very clean job site and stick with it until the job is done. Very honest, too, and they let you know exactly what work is being done. Highly recommend them! And no, we are not related :)
