Mr. Electric of Gastonia

I have used Mr. Electric of Gastonia for a few years. The service is always excellent. All of the technicians are experts and professional. They installed a generator for me. They expertly service and maintain the equipment. Today I had a power outage and the generator did not kick in for whatever reason. I called and was able to have a technician come out the same day mind you. I feel like a valued customer. My technician Carlton B. did not disappoint -within minutes he determined and fixed the problem. I can always count on Mr. Electric of Gastonia for all my electrical needs. I also love the fact that they are a Neighborly Company as well. I am a happy customer. I am sure you will be too.

The level of service and care we received from Matt was impeccable! During our first visit he did an incredibly thorough job of checking multiple areas to ensure he was able to pinpoint my exact issue. I also am pretty curious by nature and he did not mind at all the questions I was asking or the fact that I was tagging along with him when he was going back and forth to check for multiple issues. He was very patient and was a great teacher -- by the time our first service was over I felt very informed and very prepared for what the next step would be. By no fault of his, I took a few weeks to get back with him to schedule an installation and even though it was after hours and on his day off, he was quick to respond and get me scheduled immediately. Upon arrival, once again, his service was impeccable. It's rare today, especially in the electrical space, to get such an outstanding worker that isn't just concerned about the bottom line. You can tell he is dedicated to his job and takes the time to ensure his customers are fully on board before he does anything. As long as Mr. Electric keeps Matt employed, I'll continue being a customer.

Mr Electric is awesome! Daniel listened to my concerns and presented us a menu of options to fit not only what I wanted don't but other safety concerns. They are friendly and professional! I even got a $50 credit toward future services for letting them leave their sign in my yard for 30 days. I'm very happy with my electric services with them.

Carleton is the best. He arrived early we walked around my home I showed him what I needed done I was given an upfront estimate and I decided to go ahead and have the work done. Carleton was very helpful and knowledgeable any questions I had he answered them if he felt like something could be an issue he offered suggestions. I will be using Mr Electric again. I had lost power to an entire wall in my house. Nothing from outlets or wall switch, which also controlled the porch light. After reaching out to friends, I had an electrician come out to take a look. Seemed like a decent individual, but weeks stretched out to months without seeing or hearing back. After calling and being told he would call me right back...nothing. My patience exhausted, I checked online and decided to call Mister Electric of Gastonia, due to their favorable reviews. Boy, what a different and positive experience! I got a specific appointment day/time, a call when they were 30 minutes away and an arrival exactly when indicated. After diagnosing, the problem was identified (along with some unrelated items which were not up to code). A quote was provided, which I readily signed. That's when Daniel and Paul went to work. Problem resolved completely, within the quote, along with the comfort of some outdated equipment being brought up to code. My entire experience was exceptional. I found Daniel, Paul and later Dakota, to be exceedingly professional, friendly and highly skilled. If anyone has electrical issues, feel free to ask a friend and good luck to you. As for me, I'm calling Mister Electric of Gastonia!

As a result of such a positive experience, I contacted Mister Electric of Gastonia a second time, to address some electrical projects I've had on the back burner for awhile. The response was again timely, the quality of work excellent and my satisfaction complete. Daniel, Paul and Dakota, you are the best...thank you again!

I had just closed on a home and had a breaker trip during the first week. Carleton was sent to the house and he was able to fix the issue while also giving me pointers on future work needed or required for what we had in mind. He was very professional and super nice! I would recommend Mr Electric over and over. Carelton came out to look at the house and he broke down everything in an easy to understand way. He helped break down costs and explained what was needed immediately and what wasn't. Upon further inspection we found my smoke detectors didn't work. Instead of just leaving them since the work was to be done another day, he installed a working alarm to keep us safe until new ones were put in.
And then to top things off, he moved things around in his schedule to make sure he and his colleague could return within the week to ensure we had safe electrical before the holiday.

The day of repairs they showed up right on time. We had to deal with a lot of rain and also some flooding in my yard. They still worked hard and got around it and didn't even complain about my giant puddle. Somehow they didn't even track in mud. I also had other workers come that day and they worked with them to ensure if electricity was needed they could cut it on.

I explain all this cause I never expected such amazing service from an electrical company. I will never ever use anyone else moving forward.

And p.s, the electricity works great now and most importantly it is safe (the old breaker was not safe!)

My house was in a bad state and Mr. Electric responded quickly by sending out Carleton, an extremely experienced, polite and prompt Electrician.
His diagnosis was precise and left no doubt in my mind that he could not only estimate the work but do the job.
He took my house from a dangerous situation to a very safe and well designed system.
He made sure I was educated on the purpose of each part he was adding to the house and the proper safety precautions that can and should be taken into consideration when making any modifications or adding appliances to the house.

If I need more outlets I know who I am calling.

Someone from Mr Electric came out this morning to give a free estimate to fix the bathroom vent that is working but not pulling the enough air out after showering and said that it would be $199 just to run a diagnostic which does not go toward the price of fixing it? Where is the free quote? Waste of time…

This company is great. They came out to fix some outlets that weren’t working and found the problem which I don’t know if anyone else would have been able to find it. Very great full for their service.

I got a quote for my job for almost $3,000. Got the same job done by another company for $1,000. It was for a basic 240 outlet installation in my garage for an EV. Guys seemed nice but price not even close.

Excellent service at a reasonable price. They were able to resolve the issue related to wiring on a 1940's circuit quickly. More importantly they are one of the few electricians in the area that will answer/return your call and get an appointment on the books within a few days.

I recently purchased a very old house and definitely needed an electrical update as the former breaker box just looked down right scary, overloaded, and my breakers were tripping. Being in a new town, I didn't know which electrical company to trust; I called quite a few companies, received a few quotes, and just didn't get a good feeling from any of them. I could not be more pleased that I chose Mr. Electric! Carleton Brown went above and beyond to answer all of my questions in the initial meeting, kept me informed, set reasonable expectations for installation dates, and I feel he was very honest when he made recommendations and provided me with a quote. Today I had Carleton and Dakota in my home to rewire, install some outlets, and get me a whole new breaker box. I never thought I would be excited about having new outlets installed or calling a new breaker box 'beautiful', but here I am! Mr. Electric is the only company I will go with moving forward for any of my electrical needs. Carleton and Dakota were on time, they did an amazing job, were professional, walked me through everything that was being done, cleaned up nice and tidy afterwards, and made me feel very comfortable. Matt and Paul, are great knowledgeable guys. They came in on time and diagnosed my electrical problem and fixed it. Very professional and I would recommend these guys to anyone, as well as request them again if I need something again.

Needed an electrician to hook up a dimmer switch. Decided to give them a try as I could not figure it out. Got a call saying that he had to perform a “Safety Check” and that he couldn’t do any work inside the home because the inside of my panel box had some corrosion. He would have to rip out the entire panel box and install a new one to the cost of $4,500... to swap a switch. What a joke. This place is an absolute scam. Can’t get a simple small job completed these days. AVOID!

Mr. Electric did a very good job. We live in an 82 year old house, so they electrical needed some help. The guys were extremely informative and professional the whole way through the project. We had them replace a very old panel and rework/review another newish panel, and they did a great job. The inspector even complemented their work when closing out the permit. All in all a very good experience.

Super easy process. Electrician Matt showed up on time, and promptly got to work fixing my problem, diagnosing safety issues, and giving me something to think about for the future. When he was done, he left my house with no mess. I highly recommend Mr. Electric and Matt for your electrical needs.

Matt was excellent installing 2 new circuits in my home built in the 50s with a terrible crawl space access. He did end up running into a snag with one of them because of the weird way the extension of my house was built that made the job run longer than expected. Any other company would have probably tried to charge extra for the extra man hours but the price remained the same as what was quoted and I appreciate that. Instead of rushing through the remainder of the job he got another technician to handle his next lined up job so that he wouldn't need to rush. He was very down to earth and was easy to talk to about what was going on (and what needed to be done to bring my house up to code for some of the existing wiring).

I was not expecting this sort of friendliness from using a big company that has multiple technicians. I didn't get the feeling that his time was being micromanaged by some overseer and would get penalized for spending a few minutes over the average install time from talking to the customer from some extra questions I had. This sort of interaction makes a world of difference and is the main reason why I'm likely to use them in the future for some bigger projects.

I called Mr.Electric because we had a bad storm that knocked down 2 trees and they knocked down the power line which damaged my raiser and meter box. After my insurance cut them a check they was here within 10 minutes and replaced everything and did a amazing good. Was very nice and answered all of our questions. The only problem we are having is waiting for the inspector to get here and doesn't look like he's going to get here in time to have the power company to hook power line back so tomorrow will be 13 days without power. I would definitely recommend Mr.Electric to do your work just don't trust the inspectors and Mr.Electric said they charged us more to have them come out today so they will owe that money back to my homeowners insurance.

We recently purchased a home that had aluminum wiring. We had the choice to either rewire the entire home, which would have cost probably 25k, or have the home brought up to code with adjustments to the switches and outlets. We took Daniel’s advice and opted to just have the switches and outlets brought up to code. Along with all the outlets and switches, the team also upgraded us from 100 to 200 amps, installed a new panel, a whole home surge protector, and updated our smoke detectors.

In addition to the high quality work, Daniel was able to work within our timeline and make some adjustments to accommodate our move. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt. He answered all the questions we had and made sure we were satisfied before the end of the job.

I called Mr. Electric out because my breaker tripped and would not come back on. Daniel came out and was very polite and professional. We learned that after spending nearly $5,000 with On Time Electric last year for a panel upgrade with dedicated circuits for our kitchen appliances, that our panel was the smallest panel available and no kitchen circuits were dedicated causing the same issue that we called On Time Electric out here to fix. After thorough inspection, we realized we had been duped and the initial issue was never corrected. Mr. Electric fixed the issue for us and was very kind, courteous, and honest. I just bought my house and was aware that I needed to upgrade pur wiring from aluminum to copper. I looked to see if it was possible for either my husband or myself to do; which it wasn't. I sent to have a quote through Angie's List and Mr Electrical of gastonia called within an hour to set up an appointment to have their technicians, Daniel and Matt, out that day. Within an hour they were at my house giving me a professional quote. They even caught something that both an FHA loan officer and regular house inspector missed. They set an appointment for the following week. During the repair and installation both Matt and Daniel were friendly and knowledgeable about their producted and work. They were on time and worked efficiently during the course of timr alotted. I would highly recommend Mr Electrical of gastonia, and will use them in the future if need be.

These guys were allstars. Well worth every penny! They came out for a 3 day job 2 of days I had to work and I left them unattended with a key, nothing went missing. We needed to replace an exhaust fan in our bathroom and Mr. Electric was who we chose. Daniel was our technician and he was great. He did a safety check on our house and found damage that needs to be repaired from a lightening strike that hit our house a few years ago. He installed the fan, cleaned up after himself, and made sure everything worked and that we were happy with the job. Daniel provided a five star experience and I will be going to Mr Electric for all my electrical needs moving forward.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! What an awesome company! Called and they were able to get me in right away. Had an issue with my breaker box and they sent Josh to our house. Josh was very professional, friendly and extremely knowledgable. Not only did he fix my issue, which was a fire hazard, but he did a free safety inspection and found some other issues that were also fire hazards. I’m not an electrician but I’m handy enough to know when something isn’t right and so I knew he was being honest and truthful. He fixed all the issues right on the spot. Wonderful experience. This company was extremely friendly and easy to maneuver. The work was finished promptly. I called on a Monday and had a scheduled appointment Wednesday (they even called later that day and offered to move the appointment up to Tuesday, but I was unable to do so due to my own scheduling conflicts).

They sent a text message with the name of the technician who would be coming to my home to alert me he was on the way. The technician then called to ensure I was aware.

I had a tankless hot water heater installed by Dominion Energy and when their “in-house” electrician bailed, I contacted Mr Electric ⚡️ to do the job of installing the outlet needed for the water heater. Communication was stellar getting the appointment for the following day and notifications when their technician Josh would be arriving (didn’t happen with the original installer, which was the reason they decided to bail). Quickly assessed the requirements and went over safety inspection of existing breaker box. Quickly completed the task and was able to get Gastonia inspection done so we could get hot water! I would use them again for other electrical needs/issues. Thanks again Josh for doing the job quickly and professionally!

Our experience was a really great one from start to finish. After setting up the appointment, we received consistent communication letting us know when and who the electrician would be in performing our inspection and trouble shooting. We also received a picture of our electrician so that we knew who would be showing up. Daniel was very professional and thorough in explaining everything to us. He utilized a detailed checklist in order to diagnose our problem and was then able to offer a solution. I will use Mr. Electric again if I ever have electrical needs.

Josh initially came out and gave the estimate to fix the wiring, panel and meter. Arrived on time with Matt to help ensure there would be no delays. They explained everything up front and made sure we had no questions. Very nice guys with professional work! They scheduled the inspection and for Duke energy to come out so we didn't have to do any of that.

I wanted to get a generator outlet and interlock installed and had 3 other electricians already ghost me. I contacted Mr electric online, got a call within 2 hours and their generator specialist Josh was here 2 days later. Recommended an interlock, walked me through the job and quoted. Josh was back a few days later, did the work. Everything was tidy and well done and communicated along the way. I really can't fault them. Good service, good price, on time, good communication and great workmanship. If I need anything else doing they'll be my only call.

Daniel and his crew were very friendly, knowledgeable, and right on time for the job. I had a very dangerous electric panel and they were able to replace it while still making it aesthetically pleasing to the eye. He explained everything & answered all of my many questions. I called Mr Electric when I needed to get some repairs done for my home prior to listing my house, and I do NOT regret it. My technician was Joshua Messick, and he was beyond helpful. Josh and his co worker came out and replaced the outside panel and the inside panel.They did a great job. They were very friendly and were great with my dogs. I highly recommend them!

The sockets in my garage stopped working, and Mr Electric sent in a professional to do a full free inspection, they analyzed everything that was suggested. I got what I could afford done and will call them again once I can afford more upgrades and repairs.

Had a few receptacles burn out, one while Daniel was there! Glad I called when I did because I was concerned about fire safety and prevention; after having everything inspected, along with the repairs, I had them install all new fire alarms that all go off at the same time no matter what room the fire is in, plus they communicate not only to each other, but to the fire department as well. All we have to do is run out the door-if heaven forbid we ever do have a fire. It's a big house, always lots of work to do, the existing system only showed one working alarm and now we have one in each bedroom and more downstairs than we had before. Daniel was informative and fun to talk to! He did excellent work on my house and I will definitely be calling again once I can afford more work. Next I'm planning to have the panel rejuvenation next because of the way the lights flicker and its not the switches or fixtures-it's the old panel needing updates.
I especially like how Mr. Electric gives an evaluation and makes a to do list of what needs to be done, it makes it easy to plan it all out. really appreciate the member discount and the veterans discount!

After 3 failed attempts to get an independent electrician to do the work (i.e. you contact them and they either don’t respond or follow through on when they said they could get to you), I found Mr. Electric on Angie’s List. Someone contacted me that night and an appointment was set up. They actually showed up when they said they would! I received a detailed (free) quote, and they came and completed the job promptly and at a fair price. They’re also very professional and cleaned up after themselves. Very impressed!

We had a very dangerous electrical problem and this company came to the rescue to make sure that we were safe. Daniel diagnosed the root cause in under an hour which was completely missed by another electrician a few days prior. Michael and Sons came to my home and left it In disrepair..Left my panel box open ..outlets uncovered and worse of all they left a live wire “rigged” in my hallway and never returned!! Hands Down One of the Best. Everyone from the intake Rep., to the Receptionist, to the Techs that performed the work, were very professional, warm, and welcoming. This company is absolutely amazing! I lost all power in my house one day and my breaker panel was burnt out. They had someone at my house within 24 hours (was going to be same day but I was at work) and diagnosed the problem quickly. They were here until the problem was solved, which took all day, but they got the job done. My house was built in the early 70's with aluminum wiring throughout. When one of my circuits went out I contacted Mr Electric to get it repaired. They were prompt with a response and with a technician visit. The technician, Daniel, was a knowledgable, professional, and friendly person who arrived with a Mr Electric van fully loaded with the tools and components to do the job.

After analyzing the issue we determined that our electrical system needed refurbishing to 2018 standards. While we chose to do everything at once, the technician also offered a program to accomplish the upgrade in steps over time.

Work was started immediately to get our circuit in operation and other technicians were brought in to accomplish all other required upgrades as fast as possible. Every representative of Mr Electric, (Daniel, Matt, and Michael) were first class. Our upgrade consisted of a panel rejuvenation, better system grounding, whole house surge protection, GDFI outlets in kitchen and baths, Arcsafe protection for all circuits, and replacement of all switches and outlets wired to the latest technology of aluminum/copper circuits. They also moved all the furniture/appliances as required and put them back in place. Each day they cleaned the areas where they had worked and took away all the trash.

Technicians arrived on time and worked efficiently to get the job done. These were no trips to Lowes required during the workday.

I can highly recommend Mr Electric of Gastonia to get your electrical work accomplished. Everyone I worked with including Brian, (the Owner), are first class!
