Had a great experience with this company. Everything we needed was taken care of in a timely manner, and their work was very good. The gentlemen who worked with us was Theo. He was very professional and did great work. He went out of his way on multiple occasions to help us out. I highly recommend using Mr. Electric.

The entire team I had the pleasure of working with was excellent from the office representative to the field electricians to the field supervisor. Theo and Joe installed a new 400A metered panel, set conduit for the new upgraded line, relocated a subpanel, and rewired the original panel. All work was professionally done and even complimented by the county inspector that it was Beautiful work. The team works incredibly hard and you will get a worthy product once it's complete. Bottom line they would be the first ones I call for future work.

We had Theo from Mr. Electric come out to replace some old switches and outlets in our home. Theo was a fantastic technician - prompt, informative and professional. Price was higher than expected based on quotes from other companies, but of course this is not the technician's fault. 5 stars for the great service from Theo!

First thing the job was done proffesional like, no issues with the work done. My biggest gripe was the $300+ job on a $15 dollar part that only took 10 mins to replace. A replacement outlet in my guesstimation was upcharged by about 250%, I am not sure who put the price on a single replacement outlet but I will Never do business with a group that scams the customer like this. Lesson is learned and if anyone would care to ask me why I would feel this way about a group all I would have to do is show the billing receipt. 15$ dollar part, 5 mins of work doesn't translate into 315$ bill. There is no way you can justify this.

Theo was our Service Professional and did an excellent job. He started on time and, by working very hard, got the job finished in the time frame he had promised. We would certainly recommend him.

Let me tell you about Mr. Bryon Pate, he came in and handled his business. He promised that we were going to have power in the rooms that had no power and he delivered exactly what he had promised. A1 Service all the way. The room in the photo is one of the two rooms that had no power for months. Now there is power!

Mr. Electric has become my go-to for electrical services! From the ease of scheduling with Bridgette over the phone to the professional install by Byron. He is always on time, knowledgeable of current codes and leaves the work area clean. Even makes working with county inspectors stress free. Do not hesitate to use this awesome team!

I had them wired and connect a motion light. I identify the spot where I wanted to install and the electrician took it from there. He install it without any hiccups and manage to complete it quickly. Nice Job, please keep up the good work!

I had purchased a Ring doorbell and 2 floodlight cameras. Brian came to check things out and give me a price quote. He came, he looked, he assessed the situation and installed everything at a reasonable price. He was patient and easy to work with. Hired Mr. Electric to install ceiling fans on a high ceiling, outdoor lights, and to inspect some wiring by our pool. Brian and his team did a tremendous job with some difficult situations in our home. He was professional, offered different options for solutions, and made sure we were satisfied before calling the job done.

We'll be calling him back whenever we have electrical needs as the work was reasonably priced and they were able to fit us into their schedule pretty quickly.

Byron was very professional and resolved my Smoke Alarm issue quickly. We had multiple hardwired smoke alarms beeping that he was able to troubleshoot and fix in less than an hour. I would definitely use Mr. Electric Charlotte-Metro again.

Brought my entire condo up to code in less than 2 days. Every outlet and switch needed to be updated, new smoke alarms, several light fixtures. They kept their promises and schedule.

I was having an issue with the outlets in my garage. The GFCI kept tripping even when nothing was plugged into it. Byron was my service tech, was on time, professional and a pleasure to deal with. Byron tracked down the issue( going through 5 different areas tied into that outlet) repaired it and was on his way in a less than an hour. Great service!

Mr. Electric was quick to get me an appointment, next day. The tech was prompt and explained the job. Took less than 1.5 hours. This is the second time using them. They ran the wiring for my tankless water heater earlier in the year.

Called Mr. Electric to look at 2 sockets that had shorted and also requested estimates for other work.
Great service from (Theo) who located some important issues, fixed them, and took the time to explain the situation thoroughly.
Pricing was fair.
They’ve earned my repeat business for next time.

We had a very challenging light fixture installation. Theo provided a clear quote than he and Joe did a careful, thorough job. It required a lot of patience, and you could tell that they only wanted to do work that they would be proud of. It looks great.

I've had to call and hire MR. ELECTRIC twice to diagnose and fix problems created by prior incompetent, or worse, dishonest electrical contractors trying to create more work for themselves at my expense. MR. ELECTRIC is professional, and responsive to homeowners' anxieties about wiring, especially in a business fraught with abuse. The electrician, Theo Coetsee, came as scheduled, got straight to work, explained the problem, and fixed it to completion. I trust MR. ELECTRIC.

Byron is THE BEST! I had a different company provide a quote the day before Byron that was THOUSANDS of dollars more. I suspect that the servicemen from the other company saw a woman and decided to quote exorbitant prices. Not only was Byron honest, but he was proactive in pointing out other safety issues. I have decided to go with Mr Electric for the work, but it has not started yet. I will return to provide an updated review once work is complete. At this point, I have the utmost confidence in Byron that the work will be great! I'll end by saying that if any other competitors are reading this review, remember that in the end you actually make more money by being honest/not greedy than by trying to charge over the top prices. Mr. Electric will have a life-long customer out of me!

Our technician Theo was very respectful friendly polite and very knowledgeable. We had Mr Theo come to our house for diagnostic of our dead breaker and switcher which wasn't working. Theo quickly got to the problem diagnostic and fixed it. Also the entire staff at Mr electric over the phone were also very polite. If Google would have allow I would definitely give Mr Electric of Charlotte 100+ stars review.

Byron and Joe came out to connect a generator port to my breaker box and fix a short on my septic pump. They were very friendly and knowledgeable, and the installation work was quick, clean, and professional. Very very happy with the entire experience!

Chris Rogers and Byron Pate are a dynamic duo. I had my house upgraded to a 200 amp service panel from the original 1955 fuse box. They were quick and efficient, cleaned up after themselves and were pleasant and professional the whole time. Waiting on the power company to disconnect/reconnect was the worst part of this process. I will definitely call on them again if I need electrical work in the future. This is my second time using Mr. Electric. I would highly recommend them.

I called Mr Electric today when I realized a breaker was faulty and there were problems with a couple of receptacles. I was told by Amanda they could send a tech out the same day! Byron arrived on time and got everything done fast and professionally. He was courteous and explained everything to me in detail. The price was fair for same day service. I am very happy with my experience with Mr Electric today. I highly recommend this company in general and Byron in particular. Well done guys!

We had several electrical related issues. We had several outlets that were effectively dead, and we wanted to install a whole home surge protector. One of the dead outlets was for our tankless hot water heater, so that was not ideal. Our technician, Byron, was timely, knowledgeable, and an overall pleasure to work with. He had to troubleshoot several items to get the job complete, but kept us apprised of the issues and recommended fixes. I would highly recommend Mr Electric, as well as their awesome technician Byron.

Chris and Joe were fantastic, We had a very complicated light to install. It took them about 4 hours and it was very tedious, they both were very professional and kind and with such complicated project they deivered with a smile on their faces all along, the light fixture is installed perfectly on a 20 feet tall ceilling, they were safe and took great care of the fixture as to not cause damages, they even offered to come back to install the replacement pieces that were broken during delivery, it was a delight working with them and i will contact them again for my next project for sure! -lowest rate for on-site quote/visit charge
-best and reasonable quote. We like that it was a set quote without surprises
-they had immediate availability and scheduling was easy
-The admin was great to talk to.
-I like their iPad quote and payment system
-Byron and Joe were professional, polite and respectful. Besides, one was a avid bass fisherman and connected with my #cabanaboy, so I know he’s good!

I hired Mr Electric to install an external 220 50A plug on a new circuit. They were fast, responsive and honestly always ahead of schedule (can you believe that?). My electrician was Theo Coetsee and he was super awesome, fast and professional. Overall, I think you can probably find a cheaper solution if you really wanted to, but I had so many electricians just never show up for an estimate appointment or say they'd get back to me with an estimate and never did. Mr Electric was a breath of fresh air and worth the money to get me up and going fast after weeks of dealing with other electricians. From first call to completed job was 2 days. Estimate was the following day of the call, and install was the following day of the estimate.

Byron was awesome! From the initial consultation all the way to the finished install, everything was professional and ON TIME. With purchasing a new home there was a lot of stress involved and Byron and his team made this repair one of painless fixes for me. I appreciate all the hard work!

I was extremely impressed with Brian Cain. He was punctual and very professional. Brian installed four chandeliers for me. Two of them were very intricate and required much patience to assemble because of the number of crystals. He even found the needed light bulbs in his truck that did not come with the chandeliers but was needed so my husband did not have to go to Home Depot to purchase them. Brian moved furniture, covered the furniture and vacuumed to clean up. He made sure every thing was place exactly as he found it. I’m giving Brian a five star rating because my chandeliers look beautiful. The quality of his work was excellent and I would call the service again and request Brian Cain.

We called to have Mr. Electric come out and give us a quote this past Friday to repair our florescent lights in our commercial warehouse space. Theo and Chris came out and made the suggestion to convert them to led and that the cost would be about the same but last much longer. After receiving a second quote, hands down we chose Mr. Electric!

We called Monday to have them come out, they were able to come out the next day (today) and were able to finish the entire project in one day!

I need to get better service to my detached garage for a wood shop. Theo and Chris were dispatched and in less than 2 days had installed a sub panel in my garage, isolated the garage from the main panel and provided 30AMP service (20 amp sockets) around the garage. Plus they isolated my KOI pond pumps to their own breaker and circuit. I had another vendor out here for an estimate and he wanted a 3rd more for doing less work... Theo and Chris are real Pros, easy to work with and nice guys. Stay away from those WEB dispatched vendors like Angie's list etc... Call these guys. You won't regret it...

Byron and Eric did a great job. They took the time to explain the estimate and what work they were going to do. Both were very professional and friendly.

I called Mr. Electric to have outlets installed for external security cameras, under counter kitchen lighting, dimmers, ceiling fan, and an extra kitchen outlet. Brian was the tech assigned to do the work. He arrived right on schedule, provided the estimate which I approved and the work began. It was a 2 day task (I had an afternoon scheduling issue so he came back on time the next day). Brian exceeded my expectations especially in finding a way to install an exterior outlet in a place I thought was inaccessible for concealed wiring. Installation work was perfect and Brian showed a great deal of respect for my home cleaning up as he went along. A+ work... thank you Brian and Mr. Electric.

Second time working with Mr Electric and Brian Cain and once again they exceeded my expectations. Working on a finished shed in my backyard and I've communicated / worked with several contractors across the project. Mr Electric BY FAR is the most professional, friendly, and highest quality of them all. Hi. I rarely leave reviews, but these guys deserve it. Needed a new breaker
and line ran out to a new sump pump that was being placed for my crawlspace. The fuse box was on the other side of the house, and I also needed an outlet for the sump pump. I also needed an additional breaker in my garage for the water filtration, freezer, fridge, and garage opener.
Jeffrey Hughes came out for the company and was a solid professional. He had a trainee with him who was eager to help and took direction well.
The price I paid was competitive and expected for the work done. There were three different instances where I realized Jeffrey was not trying to add on charges and hose me. Since I was having so much done, I paid the $89 for the advantage plan, and I saved 15% which meant I saved hundreds. I also had them fix an outlet and place a new outlet on the front of my house. On top of that, they also came inside and we went over three different electrical concerns that I will be easily able to manage myself.
Bottom line: they came out quick - they even had a morning cancellation and came earlier than expected. The price was right. The customer service was above and beyond. Jeffrey was obviously a professional.
My only beef: There's an inspection charge if you don't go with their service - I know some companies do this but thankfully they didn't suck when they showed up.
I'd recommend these guys for electrical work. Peace.

Brian from Mr. Electric was outstanding! He was very professional and informative. We were so impressed that we rebooked him for another appointment two days later to do two other projects that we had on the back burner. I highly recommend him and Mr Electric.

Everything seemed to be going great, until I inspected my panel. Quote and invoice listed a Nema 14-50 outlet install with a 50amp breaker. Looking in my box, only a 40amp was used. Have contacted Mr. Electric and waiting on a reply. Not happy.

Jeff came to our house to help us drop a box in a bedroom for a ceiling fan. He was friendly and knowledgeable and put up with me asking questions before, during and after the project. He did quick work and the price was right. Highly recommend!

Two electricians Theo and Chris came to my house today to install a five tier LED Chandelier. These guys were Professional as you can get. My ceiling is twenty feet high and the degree of difficulty had to be a 10. However, these to guys made it look easy. Their set up was smooth like clock work and when they finished the job, they left the area immaculate. If you call Mr electric you definitely want to request Theo and Chris. Thank guys My wife is elated with the new chandelier.

When he figured out that lights came on in a certain area, he was able to prevent us having to pay the hefty charge that came with breaker replacement. In fact, we did not have pay a single cent. I highly recommend Mr. Cain because he is a very honest worker.

Brian arrived before the scheduled time, which was great for me. He introduced himself, and asked me what the issues were.
Before starting the work, he checked out everything to make sure of the problem. He also offered additional helpful hints and asked me if there was any additional electrical issues that needed to be addressed.

Chris was prompt, polite, knowledgeable and explained how we could avoid overloading our circuits. He also checked outlets, that we thought were dead; it turned out that the outlets were not dead. We will definitely use Mr. Electric in the future.

Mr. Electric is well organized. I received several updates including ETAs and background of the person performing our work. The bid was honored even though the effort exceeded expectations due to our old lighting infrastructure.

A tree limb took down my power line and meter box so I called Mr. Electric. Brian came out that day and worked the whole day to replace my meter box and riser so I could get my power back on. He was very professional and hard working! He got the work done that day in spite of running into some problems. Thank you Brian and thank you to the staff at Mr. Electric for following up to see if my power was back on and working with me on payment! It’s nice to know that a local company cares about what folks are going thru during this challenging time.

A very disappointing visit.

I was informed of a service call charge of ‘’$80’’ and that I would be advised of an on the spot quote after an inspection of the works.

However, on arrival the technician then revealed a further $400+ charge for diagnostics to allow them to quote for the works.

When sharing the potential pricing for replacing garden lights I was informed of a likely cost of $130+ per light. This was staggering as a bulb costs less than two dollars.

I will not use Mr Electrician again. I think that the approach is misleading and the pricing is extremely high.

I was completely satisfied with entire installation which included installing another box for pendant lights over my extended island. I was impressed with the professionalism and appreciated the clean up afterwards. I will definitely use them again.

The customer service lady wasn’t helpful. She cut me off saying they don’t fix dryers then I explained it was the voltage to my dryer it was getting hot. I knew it wasn’t dryer because I connected 2 brand new dryers to the outlet. Not good service.

Byron did an amazing job relocating our light fixture to be centered on our fireplace. He was polite, professional and knowledgeable.

Do we had a fan/vent installed in our bathroom. Mr. Electric came within the week for an estimate, and then the same week to install. It only took them about an hour and everything was cleaned up when they left.
