So Johnathon Brown Electric was recommended to us by another contractor (different trade) and from that first call to his office I have to say I was impressed! Michelle was personable and had amazing customer service! She scheduled us an appointment for an estimate and because we were pressed for time, scheduled a subsequent appointment for the work. When Johnathon came out he addressed all of our concerns and gave us a quote on the spot. He was personable, professional and very knowledgeable! He gave us great options that were better alternatives (see photo of our new smart switch) and less expensive than what we initially wanted to do! He did a great job on the work we hired him to do and he even fixed some of the things that others had messed up on (previous contractor and the builder). Would HIGHLY recommend him!

I have wanted recessed lights in my home for sometime now. I asked around and Johnathan Brown Electric was recommended to me. I called and set up an appointment for one of their electricians to come out and take a look. The receptionist that answered the phone was polite and friendly! The day before my in-home estimate they emailed to remind me of the appointment. Good communication on their part!
Matthew arrived well within the 2 hour window they had given me. He was also very friendly, professional and polite. After our walkthrough and his recommendations I decided to move forward with the Price he Quoted and he was able to do the installation right then and their! I was very pleased with this and it absolutely met my expectations!
I will mention that because of an old light fixture that was originally placed above my Kitchen sink at the time my home was built there is still a little bit of patch up work to be done on my part to make the necessary repairs. However the work that Matthew did was excellent, he installed 2 ultra thin recessed lights, 1 of which was replacing the old fixture I mentioned and the other one in a spot above the oven where there was no fixture before! he also upgraded 1 of my dimmable light switches in my guest bathroom.
I am so pleased that I have actually already made an additional appointment for him to come and add a recessed light above my newly renovated shower! Matthew definitely knows what he is doing and he does it with ease. At the end of the day I trust him! So thank you!

$527 to replace two breakers… and that’s with a $287 discount. The technician was really nice though.

Over the years Johnathon has done numerous projects at a couple of different homes for us. He has installed undercabinet lighting, ceiling fans, hung televisions, numerous light fixtures, and added electrical outlets in places we needed them. Every single time he has done an amazing job. He and his whole team are timely, professional, work cleanly, and are always smiling. I appreciate everything he’s done for us over the years, and will continue to use him for every electrical project we need! 10 out 10 recommend!!

Jonathon did several items for me with amazing and timely results. He replaced all the outlets in my home from almond to white, replaced two ceiling fans and installed a new ceiling fan in a room that had no wiring or attic. The work is A+, price was fair and the professionalism is the best in the industry. I have had other contractors recently come work on things and Johnathon and his team are leaps above the rest. I highly recommend!

Aaron came to our home and did a fantastic job with installing a ceiling fan - he was efficient, prompt, and very professional. He was very knowledgeable about the product and answered my questions thoroughly - as someone who enjoys DIY, Aaron gave some excellent insights for my future projects.

I have had a difficult time getting electricians to return my call in the Fort Mill area. I called Johnathan Brown Electric and got a same day return call, and a one week out appointment. I had 4 projects from installing light fixtures to replacing a faulty outlet. Johnathan arrived at the appointed time, reviewed my projects, gave me a quote and completed all 4 projects - all within a couple hours. He was friendly, professional and very pleasant. He also works very cleanly. I highly recommend this young man and his company!

After having a local electrician reschedule and then no-show... I went to Angie's List to find a highly rated professional. I totally lucked up!! This family owned and operated business is top notch!! Professional and courteous with the utmost integrity. On time - every time with a call when in route. Fair pricing and a breakdown of charges. I now have an electrician I can trust and who I know will show up! Thomas has been to our home on two occasions to do various tasks. In a day when a good and highly skilled tradesman is hard to find... I wanted to give this much deserved recommendation.

We hired them to install a new ceiling power outlet for fan. Alberto was the technician who worked on our request. He was very courteous and nice person to work with. He explained all the details about the work. Did a very clean job. We are very happy with their work and will surely hire them for any future work.

I had an issue with my oven causing a breaker to trip. I had tried everything I could think of to resolve the issue. I figured I needed to call somebody to help me out. I found Johnathon Brown Electric online and saw they had great reviews and figured I'd give them a try.

I used their website to fill out a request for service and Michelle contacted me that same day about my request. A few days later, they were able to work me in since I was without a stove. Matthew came out who was extremely knowledgeable, pleasant to talk to, and didn't mind me following him around trying to learn about the mess of wiring in my house. He also came up with a lot of creative solutions for a fan that my wife wants put in on the back porch.

I highly recommend this company, and especially Matthew and Michelle, for any of your electrical needs. You'll be glad you called them.

Johnathon and his crew came to my house and were very respectful. I have two dogs, and they weren't scared of them at all. The work was done very well, and they didn't seem to rush things. Great Company and would highly recommend them.

Our main breaker blew due to a power washing incident. It was getting late and we were left without any power. Johnathon was great, he came out on time with a cortousey prior to arrival. We had a arc fault issue in a 50 year old house. Johnathon quoted us a price before starting for the diagnosis and potential fix of our problem, he also let us know that if the problem turned into something bigger he would let us know of a price change prior to starting the repair. Johnathon was very knowledgeable he traced down the problem fixed it and we were charged exactly what we where quoted. I have dealt with other electricians in the past but Mr. Brown is by far the best in my opinion, he even fixed a 3 way switch I was having issues with while he was here. His price was very fair and I am very happy with the results I will definitely be using Mr. Brown in future for any projects I have. Thank you Johnathon Brown Electic.

5 stars are not enough to describe my experience. We had an issue with flickering lights and Matthew came out and quickly diagnosed the problem and took a look at the entire system. He kept us informed throughout the whole process and made us aware of different solutions. He was very knowledgeable and helped us learn more in the process and also shared some cool design ideas for lighting the kitchen. While he was in the garage, he mentioned that he thought he smelled gas. I'm naturally always a little stuffy so I appreciated him noticing this. He mentioned it a second time when he went back in there again. I called the gas company after he left and, sure enough, we had a gas leak coming from our our water heater!! If Matthew had not brought this to our attention, I don't even want to think about what the consequences could have been. Can't thank him enough not only for his excellent electrician skills, but also for being observant and caring enough to bring the gas issue to our attention.

From the very responsive and super pleasant receptionist, to working with Johnathon himself, I can't say enough good things about my experience. Johnathon was super knowledgeable, trustworthy and reasonable with pricing. A truly excellent customer service experience and pleasure to work with.

We are pleased with the work Mathew and his apprentice (EJ) did. We have used this company before. My mom and my Sister-in law also used this company. We are all happy with final products. Called a few days before Thanksgiving 2019 to discuss repairing a chandelier that had come loose from the ceiling box attachment. Johnathon answered the phone and said he would get to me before Thanksgiving. Daniel came the day before Thanksgiving (earlier than I expected) was personable and completed the repair successfully. I will use this company again should I have additional electrical work.

I am not the type to review anyone being a business owner myself, one upset customer shouldn’t define a business BUT... This electric company decided to pretend to be me and called Union County and intentionally canceled our inspections, more than once because we were no longer using them on our renovation project. They were on our permit to start the job and we decided to go with another company later in the project. We had let Union County know about the change but this company was still getting notified when we were scheduling our final electrical and residential building inspections. Instead of ignoring it, or contacting Union and saying they were not the electrical company on the permit, they decided to call and represent themselves as me and cancel both our electrical inspection and residential building inspection. They did it multiple times and through working with Union County to confirm, we know that is what happened now. Completely Unprofessional way to operate with malicious intent. We lost 2 days of inspections trying to close up this project before Thanksgiving. Would never recommend them to anyone that asks and hopefully this helps someone else.

These guys came out in 98 degree heat, Friday afternoon before a three day weekend, and fixed my bad breaker in like 30 mins. Both the gentlemen were SUPER nice, personable, and wonderful to myself and my son. They were so incredibly professional, really understanding, and knowledgeable. I will definitely use JBE again, but hopefully not anytime soon...

Needed to have our home upgraded. I had originally asked for the house to be rewired and unfortunately we couldn’t afford that but we could afford the electric panel to be upgraded from 60 to 200 amps. I’m assuming because I didn’t want to do the rewire which was 10 grand they never responded or got back to me about just upgrading the panel. Luckily I went with Mems Electric and they got me squared away for a lot cheaper and we’re very willing to do the work.

Okay, so I very rarely leave reviews, but this is definitely warranted. Absolutely amazing customer service and very very personable. Price is on point, super efficient, and a very down to earth grounded person. Will be using Johnathan for all of electrical needs!

I only needed a wireless door bell affixed to the outside (no screws.......just stick on) & the chime box affixed to the inside of my foyer (again, NO screws).
J & B Electric (Johnathan Brown Electric - Fort Mill, SC drove FIVE minutes (5 Minutes) to my house ( I clocked it) & charged me $60.00 to do this job! I suspect being 68 & a widow, I was a prime target!
I would NEVER recommend this company to ANYONE! They are shysters!
