You Save Green installed my equipment in my home in Babylon, Long Island 6 months ago and I have not had any problem to date. Everyone should really consider doing the same with YSG. It has been extremely financially affordable. Hands down no regrets at all!!!

So as a backdrop to this review, note that I never give one star reviews except in case of severe problematic behavior on the part of the company, which I am now convinced of.

So we ordered and had YSG Solar install our solar panels back in 2018, and while there were issues after the installation (partially due to Covid, but also due to bad installation issues causing us to fail inspection twice), we were willing to let bygones be bygones because the system was working and we just wanted to move on. However, in March of this year, our system stopped working, and we’ve been trying to call them over and over but no one picks up or ever calls back (which is doubly problematic when their operations number says that they’ll return calls “within 24 hours”).

We’ve also now discovered that even though our contract states “25 year performance and labor warranty”, they never extended the warranty of our inverter. You can only do so within the first two years of purchase, so it is now impossible to extend it, and with YSG never responding, our only choice currently seems to be paying someone else $2K to replace the inverter because YSG won’t return our calls or emails.

Note that I also have a BBB complaint against them, and I’m not the only one - do your research before using this company!

I purchased the REC solar panel for my home in Queens back in July and I DO NOT regret my decision at all. I have not had any issues with the equipment or installment. It has been the best money I ever spent. They were affordable and beat competitor prices.

I got ysg to install my Lg solar panels about a year ago. I have no complaints what so ever and I highly recommend to any one who would like to save on their electrical bill. The customer service was very efficient and professional from start to finish.

My Tesla is now being charged from the sun! thank you YSG Solar. In September we started searching for a solar panel company. My neighbor used another company that we met previously who came to our home to provide us an estimate. We started the process and after months nothing occurred, my husband ended up cancelling. We called YSG and within one day of calling we received the estimate. From the day the paperwork was signed until the panel system had been installed was just weeks. This was a big relief. It was not an easy decision for us to go electric with our car. YSG even installed our Tesla charger, they delivered on all of their promises and are a true professional company. There is nothing better than getting a $20 power bill.

Just like other complaints, too have had the same kind of headache YSG was great during the sales pitch Minor issues during the solar panel installation but still very responsive to my concerns. My panels were completely installed by Sept 2022. As per them, they submitted to D.O.B. for inspection, and now we just have to wait for a couple of months. I got in touch with YSG after waiting for 2 months. They started to ignore me. They don't pick up my calls They don't respond to my emails. Every now and then, they would write to me saying that we are really close to a D.O.B. inspection, but they've been saying that since December 2022. When ask them to show me paperwork they've submitted to DOB, they said they'll get it from their 3rd party electrician. A month later, still nothing, now their excuse is my application has other other clients' info, and giving me anything would violate their privacy. That's B.S! I called D.O.B myself and they said there is no inspection request I'm starting with BBB but I'll also contact my local consumer advocates, AG office, government officials, and politicians.

I got the solar from YGS 2 years ago.
At that time, I was disappointed with installation tech. But after years later. I have
understood YGS is very fair good company.
I recommend this company if you think to install the solar for your home. They are good.
I do not have any problem.

You Save Green solar has been the best choice I made. The Installation process was smooth. The staff was very respectful and very professional. I Highly recommend them if you want to save green.

I had YSG solar panel installed at my home 9 months ago in bayshore. Their services has been the best. I’ve made the best decision financially for my family and I. I recommend if you looking for solar panel services go with YSG.

YSG installed my residential system end of 2018. I have not received the 4 year tax abatement credits yet since the solar panels were installed. It was on contract stated that New York City (Queens): Property Tax Abatement for PV Equipment (5% x 4 yrs). I am still paying the credit card payments with interest.

While selling my home with YSG panels I found out that they neglected to complete an install certificate. No one has responded to multiple attempts to get in touch so the permit can be closed. There is no communication. The county is waiting for this documentation- and YSG is unresponsive.

I feel obligated to write this review to protect others. I am now over 1yr out since my system was installed and am still not connected to the grid. There is much more going on here but will leave it at that for reliability.

Not to long ago when I got a replacement on my monitoring system there was a problem again, preventing me from seeing monitoring app. The problem was 3g cell kit, I try calling emailing but was always back and for with no help from at all which was more than year and a half. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SOLAR EDGE SOLAR PANELS AT ALL. They're not helping at all please stay away from them

We have been saving so much energy and money with our Rec solar. The installation was quick and easy. You won’t be disappointed.

We are very satisfied with the overall experience with YSG. Ken and team was very professional to walk us through the process every step of the way. Installation crew knows what they are doing and get everything installed within a day.

YSG installed my system in 2019 and it broke in 2021 and it took me sometime for them to respond to my calls and emails. Finally they send a part which I had to hire someone to install it. It broke again in January 2022 and I have been trying to contact them via email and phone and no one answering them.... Every equipment will break at some point, if you want a quality service DO NOT HIRE YSG. From my experience, they will never take ownership of their job.

Customer service was a great experience. For the past two years I have been saving and question I have they always answer. I don't regret this decision I made by switching to solar panels.

I Recently purchased the Panasonic Solar and the work that was done was outstanding . I am very satisfied with the process and the money i saved with their offer . It also feels good to help the environment ? .

AVOID THEM AT ALL COST IF YOU LOVE YOUR MONEY !! they will LIE to you to get your business and once you sign up they make you call the bank to get the funding approved after they HANG YOU TO DRY. system will not connect so basically you have solar that is out of order. ENJOY THE EXTRA LAYER OF STEEL ROOF !!!!!

We have been receiving letters in the mail for the last 5 years. At one point my wife and I even signed a contract with Cypress Creek only to waste over a year and to get nothing accomplished. YSG really stood out to us being a company that was actually based in New York state instead of most of the other companies who contacted us to lease our land who are in California. The process took over 2 years from the point we signed the lease until the lease payments started. YSG took care of the entire process and it didn't cost us anything. Thank you YSG, the lease payments go towards our retirement and we could not be happier leasing our land to YSG Solar farms. The only regrets we have is not finding YSG sooner

Where do I start from? My Awful Experience with YSG began back in February 2020. After numerous of phone calls with Kenneth, the sales associate, pushing to sign the contract to have YSG install my solar. Upon our conversation he promised that the system will be fully installed before April of 2020 which of course it never happened because YSG doesn’t have installers. FYI, YSG sublease their contracts, which means you are not dealing with installers that directly work with them.

Finally, they scheduled dates in June of 2020, I would call out of work, but they would not show up for various excuses. This occurred three times! Finally, they showed up the second week in July, when they came they were unprepared missing many equipment and material. And to top it all, they didn’t have a master electrician on site. I have contacted Kenneth, and requested to have the master electrician on site, he claimed that the electrician has a flat tire and they were going to send him an Uber, and of course that was another story, the electrician never showed up. The biggest problem was when the installers went on the top of my roof and began drilling, realized that the drawing that YSG provided was inaccurate and at this point was too late. YSG, claims that they get the best 4K satellite drawing of anyone’s roof which is incorrect because they had to modify the drawing to place the panels, which I felt bad for the installers since I wanted to get this project over with since it’s been taking too long. Installers would have to run to Home Depot and to the warehouse constantly and multiple times for missing equipment throughout the day, as a result, the projects continues to be delayed. Installers came approximately 6-7 times including the time when I was away, and completed the project without notifying me so that I would release the loan money to them. The procedure for opening up loans, which YSG is most concerned about this, the only THING they will harass you for. They run your credit twice to apply for a loan from a company called Green Sky, this money, they use to buy their equipments. Then , they will run your credit again by Service finance, and they will tell you that you have 18 months without any interest, which they will HARASS you until you make the validation phone call so the money is released to them. DON’T MAKE THAT MISTAKE which I did, unfortunately!!!! You are releasing the full money to YSG, without passing inspection, which it failed the first time, which occurred October 2020. The panels were up on the roof without being connected from August 10, 2020. After a conference call with CEO of the company (David), which I will tell you all about my experience with him. David is the owner of the company, he will get involved when you call up your loan companies as you contact them to let them know that the project is incomplete and you wouldn’t want to release the money. This man will sweet talk to you, he will state various laws, will assure you that you will be pleased with their service when you see the discount on the electricity bill, he sells all the promises and doesn’t fulfill any of them, because his aim was to get the money released and to pay the sales rep and the installers their commission. The last contact I had was on August 10,2020- he promised my system will be running and activated within 4-6 weeks. They will give you a credit until the system fully charged up, about 2-3 payments, but you have to constantly chase them, finally, I got it before I released my second loan payment to them. Again, this has been my biggest regret to sign up with this company, be aware of their scams. If you see any other reviews with 5⭐️ Don’t trust it, my system still not working and they don’t have installers. Same your money and headache and find someone reliable

We had spoken to many solar companies to get solar. Our business operates 24/7 so having a company that does not slow down our operations was important. YSG kept us up to speed through out the entire process. Thank you YSG, you made the process simple and the work came out great. We are excited to start saving money and are thrilled to use all of the tax benefits from the city and government. You guys rock!

The team to install led by James and Eric were awesome. They accommodated the ideas I had about the system install and even accommodated some semi last minute equipment changes my husband wanted to make regarding different looking panels. The work looks great and they cleaned up very well. Really nice guys, they even took the time to go over the system with my son so he can keep an eye on it when we're out of town for half the year. We had our system installed in June 2020 and have already banked a good amount of power with Coned above what we used, which used to be around $250/month. Couldn't be more satisfied.

I had U save Green put my system in 14 years ago and now i need service to fix my transponders ,i left messages emails they didnt respond DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY call someone else!!!!!

I had my panels installed last November. During the site survey they informed me that my roof was in pretty bad shape, we have had some bad hail storms over the years here and just had a bad one before they did the survey. The survey guy showed us pictures of the roof so we could see the issue for ourselves. YSG even offered to help find grants for the roof if our insurance would not cover it. Thankfully our insurance did. Once our roof was fixed we called and they came right out to resurvey, all went well and our final engineering design showed we needed fewer panels than originally estimated, which is great news. We finally got installed without any headache and then had to wait for the city and Coned to inspect. The inspections and re roof were the only part of the process that took time. Our panels look great on our roof and production monitoring is AWESOME! Also, the customer service people were the most friendly and helpful people. Our original Coned bill was over $400, we now pay less than $40 per month and my wife is finally happy with me for one decision I've made in 20 years.

If you are looking to finance, these guys started it all. They were one of just two or three offering desirable finance options when we got our installation about 4 years ago and the only ones offering a pay upfront option. This is the way to make the numbers really work in your favor. As far as I know, YSG Solar is one of the only leasing companies that doesn't sub-contract. When you hire them, you get them. Of the four or five large, national companies, they are definitely the leaders. In fact the other day a solar industry member said as goes YSG Solar, so goes the industry. On the down side, the installation seemed to take a long time. But to be fair, they had just moved to the state, were scrabbling to hire and train new people and the sales office for CA was in NY. Now they have many more people and 2-3 locations in NY alone. Much has changed since our system was installed. We have referred countless neighbors and coworkers to YSG over the last few years and have heard nothing but good things reported back. Our system performs the same as it did the day it was installed.

My experience with YSG has been great. The whole process starting from the initial estimate to final inspection went smoothly. Their financing option was very clear unlike some others. The proposal was very detailed and clear. They took care of all paperwork and permits for us. YSG even sent a Roof pro when I was unsure about the life of our roof. Installation took two days only. The installers were polite and professional. Reaching people at YSG is as simple as making a phone call. I would definitely recommend them.

Had a 8.16KW solar panel system installed by the YSG crew from the Manhattan office this past August. The install went much quicker than I expected. The whole install took about 9 hours. The electricity was only off for about 20 minutes. This was a larger crew than I expected. There were guys on all parts of the solar system doing their thing all at the same time. The YSG team definitely worked like a well oiled machine. I tried to move all my stuff from where I thought they would be working however there was another area they had to work which had a bunch of stuff. However they moved it safely and moved it back to the same exact location. It looked like it was never even moved! During these COVID times, I noticed that team took precautions to keep everyone safe, very happy about this. The crew even had a sanitizing station set up by their work vans. Pretty thorough I have to say. Thanks YSG! You guys were awesome! Even having our system installed at the very tail end of summer, we've already cut our bill from around $400/month to $120. I expect by this summer when our production is in full swing our bill will be down to $0.

Found this company through a friend’s recommendation and was completely satisfied with the work that was done. The staff was very friendly, on time! & pricing was extremely fair.

I used YSG solar because it saves energy and saved me money. They were really easy to communicate with and friendly.

One of the best things that I have done is get Solar System for my House, and I’m very happy that I’ve chosen YSG Solar company! The team is very knowledgeable and professional, from start to finish, and relationship continues even long after the install has been done. The system looks beautiful and performs better than expected and estimated. I’m glad that I did not have to cut any trees. When I do something, I research the subject in depth and need to understand everything, and the team at YSG was very patient with me and provided many different options for install and equipment. We went with 36 Panasonic 325W panels, and SolarEdge, which shows me consumption and production. The system has been installed for about 2+ years, and we have a positive surplus of about 6,000kWh.

I've been very happy with YSG. When I researched getting a ground mount system, their price was comparable to a competitor, but they had a much better financing option. The installation was in winter, so they dug the 125'+ trench to tie where the system would be to the house ahead of the main install. Once they started the main construction, it was done in about 3 days. Our utility company had to put in a new meter to track production and usage, as well. The monitoring software is very easy to use and helpful to track production, comparing month-to-month and year-to-year.

The only issue we had was probably unlikely to hit most people. The Federal Tax Refund that helped with half the financing was non-refundable, meaning, you must owe the taxes to get it back as a refund. So 2 1/2 years in, we're still waiting on about $6k in tax credits. This isn't a YSG Solar issue, but it would have been better to know ahead of time. If you itemize your tax deductions and have more than the standard deduction, this might affect you. But overall, it was a great experience.

My family had the system installed in August of 2017. The team was unbelievable in making the install perfect. The way they did it swiftly, efficiently, and even hiding the conduit coming down the side of my house was incredible. The system and monitoring is excellent and we are running slightly above promised production which carries over until the end of each year, then Coned sends a check for the difference. If a panel goes out I can see an alert in my monitoring system which is helpful as this has happened a few times due to bad weather etc but it usually resolves on it's own. The price was the lowest and highest promised production. I now know why they are one of the largest in the NY. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Stay away from this company. They installed my residential system a few years back. The system developed a problem within the warranty coverage period and they are reneging on their obligation to repair. Shamelessly refused to honor the warranty. Bunch of crooks!

WARNING - DO NOT USE YSG SOLAR. They do not honor their rebates or promises. We were fraudulently induced into entering into a contract and promised in writing a $2000 rebate. After installation, we requested the rebate and were told that the salesperson that offered us the rebate no longer works there and they wouldn't honor it. There is a complaint filed with the NYS Attorney General's Office Consumer Fraud Unit and the Better Business Bureau.

YSG's response is riddled with lies and misrepresentations. This was not an after the fact asking for a promotion!!! We are not relying on a promotion. We were induced into a contract for solar with a promised rebate of $2000. This was written directly to us from salesman Steven O'Donnell from YSG Solar. After installation, we requested our rebate was was told that the salesman no longer works there and he was mistaken so they wouldn't honor the rebate. This led to 5 months of emails and calls and they finally sent us half. They refused to give us the remaining rebate money. Reported to the NYS Attorney General's Consumer Fraud Unit and the Better Business Bureau. Even more troubling is that they lied to the BBB and said this was a promotion we were seeking after the fact - completely ignoring the written emails with the promised rebate! Every consumer needs to be aware of their fraudulent practices that introduced us to YSG. We did have contract negotiations with salesman Steven O'Donnell. He wrote in an email to us that the system we were purchasing entitled us to the $2000 rebate and 6 months of free solar. We verified it with him and he repeated the promise to us. Why do you fail to address this email?? Not the promotion - the promise that induced us to enter in a contract in the first place. Your timeline also forgets that when we called to inquire about our rebate we were told that Steven O'Donnell doesn't work at YSG anymore and you would not honor the rebate he promised us! I have NEVER said that I am an attorney so give me money. That is an irresponsible lie. I asked to speak to the legal department and was told there isn't one! Please stop the lies. Reputable businesses do not conduct themselves in this manner.

I had my Panels installed by YSG Solar and discovered 2 separate leaks in my roof 3 weeks ago. I have tried to get in contact with YSG Solar to schedule an appointment with my roofing contractor to have the panels temporarily removed but my calls are never answered and always go to Voicemail. I was able to get a prompt callback within 24hours when I inquired about getting a new solar install for my 2nd home.

It's been 3 weeks now, and I'm still catching raindrops with a bucket in my kitchen and bedroom.

Edit 02/16/2021:

I had to hire a 3rd party company to have the solar panels fixed and roof repaired. It has been determined that the leaks were caused by the Solar Panels not being properly installed. The damage has cost me almost $6,000 and I have not yet been reimbursed for any repairs that were supposed to be covered under warranty.

YSG are the go to solar guys. Two of my colleagues had systems installed by two of the bigger name companies and both of them have had non stop issues since their systems were installed in 2017 and 2018. I had a hard time finding a solar contractor after listening to their experiences until I met YSG at a trade show out in Staten Island in 2019. After about a year of going back and forth we finally pulled the trigger and had our system installed January 2020, right before the pandemic hit. Throughout all the shut downs and issues out of their control YSG was able to keep me in the loop and the closeout process was pretty quick considering what disarray the city was in at that point. Our system has been running beautifully for the last 5ish months since it was turned on and we’ve overproduced so far this summer. If my wife gets her way we’ll be moving out of the city soon and I would absolutely hire YSG again for a solar system. Thanks Felix C.

I did a lot of research and interviews with Solar installers, then I decided to go with YSG. I am very happy with the service they have provided. I never felt pressured to go solar unlike the other companies. YSG answered all my question and concerns. The whole process was smooth. They communicated with me through every step to make sure I was informed. The panels and inverter they use are highly rated and very efficient. Installation was done professionally. Their customer service is great. If you are thinking of going solar, I would definitely recommend YSG.

Working with YSG Solar was a great overall experience. We own a construction company so we know how hard it can be to find good people. They were extremely professional and helpful from start to finish. Sarva and the rest of the installers did a very neat job. We give them our highest recommendation.

If solar panel construction was a baseball team, YSG would be the Yankees. I have never been this biggest baseball person but these guys are good. Our installation took place almost three years ago and the process was amazing. At first we had looked into solar and received so many calls. I had to put off the project for several months we just had been very turned off at first. YSG was the only company still followed up with us and took the time to explain how it works. We received conflicting information from two of the other companies and it just gave us a bad feeling. My house is heated with electric so going solar seemed like a natural next step. The installer stayed at my house late until the job was done and came early the next day, the entire team was hard working and are passionate about solar panels. My electric bill after solar has been $20 each month. Hard to believe more people are not going solar. If your thinking about it take the time and research the equipment. Make sure you get quick mount flashing this is an item we did a lot of research about when we went solar. The roof was new and we had been concerned about water damage. YSG offers the longest warranty we found but we also had our roofer inspect the job after they finished. Everything is working just like they promised., thank you YSG!

We have been looking into solar power for a while and after comparing few companies we decided on YSG! From the moment we signed the contract they've been very quick and professional on every step. We got our panels installed just a few weeks after the contract. The inspection took two visits to get done. Pseg would not change my meter since I have a small dog in the yard. We have had solar for few years now, and we reduced our electric bill significantly. He set up the monitoring system and we track our power every day since the activation. Amazing how easy it was to produce clean electricity, Thanks to the entire team!

I have to start by saying I am very demanding customer I’m not easy to satisfy We start looking into solar in 2014 we met with few companies and we had different offers and different options. but I wasn’t excited about any of them. We keep searching until I find YSG [you save green] on the Internet I give them a call and I spoke with David. and I have to tell you throughout the whole process he never let me down he was available each time I try to reach him and always giving me accurate information’s. he was great and reasonable and any promise he had made definitely he had met. The installation team was great they did their job in 1 1/2 day. The worksite was clean organized. very friendly people. system had been working perfectly sense October 2016. based on my experience they are great people great equipment And very honest. never tried to cut corners and I’m so happy to deal with them and whenever I have the opportunity to recommend them I do so.

The YSG representative I worked with did an amazing job with the entire process. He explained solar panels and it's benefits in detail along with YSG attractive price. He went above and beyond on finding me the perfect loan. I definitely recommend YSG for your solar panel needs .

I could not be more satisfied with YSG Solar. From start to finish they were professional. From the initial consultation, without knowing what to expect, they explained everything in details. It was truly a no-brainer decision to get solar based on how much it will cost me and how much I will recoup that and how much I'll save beyond that. They took care of ALL the paperwork, explain the loan options, tax benefits, etc. They came, they installed and clean up after themselves. My main concern was what kind of damage is done to my roof. 3 years later, no issue. My electric bill is now about $20, the cost of hooking up to the grid. I even bought a Nissan LEAF. My intention was just to save myself some $$$, but I'm so happy that I'm doing my part to save the planet and feel really good about it. All thanks to YSG Solar. And yes, they have helped me get the paper work needed to file my taxes and claimed my refund.

UPDATED: Feb. 22.. I've kept up with my end of giving this company a 5 Star rating when it actually deserves a 1/2 Star. Thank you for the $150 even though I spent $30 on fuses. So I've asked for months for the mapping of my system and I'm still waiting. I purchased these altered equipment on 8/19. I'm tired of dealing with this company. My first company Momentum should of been my first choice. I had a guy feeling about this company and I've been right. I need help!!! Feb.9, thank you for the $150.00 Amazon Gift card to boost review yo 5 stars. As promised to Ken, I kept up my bargin. I write to report status update of ongoing completion regarding the mapping of panels. Enphase repeat state no mapping by YSG has been executed. I just wait to say the panels are complete after 2years. Jan. 2021 was and is a blessing. The countless hours and extreme professionalism from YSG Solar through this pandemic they've completed all installation and I received inspection approval. Thank you for always being persistent with this project. 12/2/2020, I'm still waiting for the mapping of my panels. Recently had NYC Building Inspector and now made request to see if they had the info. available to complete installation. Also, detected 21 panels of 22 and waiting to.confirm if 22nd is installed. 11/19 I've waited a week to update my progress. So, I come to find out during the installation Jemal never inserted the fuses. I had to do it myself . Nadia Jagdat a new rep. Handling this case sends me serial numbers like it was old newspaper. Enphase excellent can not complete installation due to YSG incompetence. 11/12/2020. After a year the electrician never connected the panels. Credit score destroyed by Greensky. Making payments to a product that sucks. Paying ConEd monthly. 11/6/2020... After contacting Enphase Envoys to complete installation it was determined that the equipment was not connected to power. After asking to inspect the equipment numerous times and a year has past I can say I have a product that doesn't work. cont. August 2019 I went into contract with YSG Solar. As to date all they provided me with was consistent aggravation. I dealt with 8 representative which each one is incompetent than the other. False hope is what they should be known for. I would not recommend them to anyone as well as Greensky. Anyone has any questions regarding solar panels since I've become knowledgeable of the company may reach out to me. Still making payments and have a delinquent credit report from this entire process. I feel anyone reporting 5 Stars and it being the only single reporting ever made is to boost business. Beware of their false advertising.

Before I installed my solar system I got estimates from every solar company I could find on the web. I decided to choose YSG solar for the following reasons, they're a local company, their price was the most reasonable, they were courteous and knowledgeable and more importantly they were very patient with me. It's been more than one year since I installed my solar system and I couldn't be happier. I got all my tax credits back and currently my system is producing much more electricity than expected because of the long and hot summer days. thanks YSG!

This company is very unprofessional. I greatly regret hiring them. Do yourself a favor and Stay away. There are much better options out there. Salesman Ken made multiple misrepresentations including the amount of panels I would get. He stated to me that I would be getting a storage battery and when it wasn't installed he then strung me along for months telling me that it would be installed soon. He then told me that I would have to hire the installation company directly and that I would have to pay them. Needless to say I had to hire a lawyer and am in the process of filing a lawsuit.

Read this to understand why you should stay away from YSG Solar. The details are important. They were pushy about signing their contract. Then they called and suddenly wanted to do the installation the next day, before the permit applications had even been submitted. That was the red flag that changed my mind, so I told them I was going with another company. They tried forcing me to stay with them by telling me the only way they’d cancel my contract is if I paid them $7,822 even though they had done no work at my home. The phony invoice listed four expenses. The first was Site Survey for $800. (Site surveys are free by industry standards.) The second was System Design for $3,500. (System designs are generated in minutes using software.) The third was Interconnection for $500. (My utility told me by phone they would not have billed YSG for interconnection until the job had been completed.) The fourth was Solar Edge Inverter w/Optimizers for $3,022. (These parts are routine warehouse stock items that are used on virtually all homes. No special orders were made for my house, a standard center hall colonial.) I had to hire a lawyer to get them off my back, and that cost me $1,734. They never apologized or admitted any wrongdoing, and I wonder how many other people they've swindled with this same con game. Do not use this company – they are dishonest and unscrupulous.

100% absolutely outstanding, completely exceeded my expectations. The crew was on time, worked like a fine tuned unit, helpful to each other, no idle chatter or loitering while in between tasks. If idle, the guys respectfully stood back from the Workman at hand, and observed. No one was busy constantly checking their phones, if they did so it was only for an instant and out of view of the homeowner. No foul language whatsoever even when working within their own areas, only respectful, cordial language was used every minute of the job. My total compliments to the crew leader, who was THE most friendly, accommodating, professional person that could be. Also a shout out to Aaron who was also a top of roof crew lead, and two other guys named Andrew and Marcus, also roof guys who did a great job as well. I had no idea your installers would be so perfect, I absolutely made the right choice in going with YSG Solar.

After looking into several solar companies, we decided to go with YSG and was glad we did. They took the time to answer every single question I had, and I never felt pressured to purchasing the solar unlike the other companies. The work they did was neat and on time. Upon completion of the solar, they followed up several times to see how the solar was performing and to make sure my electricity bill was correct. If your looking to add solar, definitely check out YSG.

I'm satisfied with the installation of my roof top Solar System by YSG. They did it as per contract; used REC 400W panels and built a maximum capacity System as per my expectation.

My husband and I have been reaching out to the company since our solar broke back in June. It was supposed to be resolved within 7 to 10 days but it took 43 days to get our new inverter. We now have had extremely high electric bills the past two months because we missed the hottest months to bank our energy. We have been asking how they will reimburse us for this loss but everyone we have spoken to in the company has left and we have to continue to start over again. We still continue to wait to see if anyone can help us resolve this issue but at this point nothing is being done. I wouldn't recommend this company like I have in the past because the lack of communication, professionalism and turn over of employees makes me quite worried if anything will come of this.

YSG was very helpful, knowledgeable and professional with my entire solar experience. Ken was very helpful and answered any questions I had, they are very competitive with pricing and after doing research on solar and getting other prices YSG was the most competitive, the instal was quick clean and neat. Adding voltaic panels to our home was a goal when we had lived out west. Arriving in New York we did not know if this would be worth it. We built the house with a perfect roof that faced south. Our YSG solar panel experience was great and we are the proud owners of a 5000 Watt panel system. YSG answered all of my questions and had been patient with us the entire time. I recommend them.

My husband and I had 4 other companies come out to do the presentation on the solar panels. We were very impressed with the knowledge and professionalism before and after the installation. Once the job was done it took about 4-5 weeks to turn the system on since we have to wait for Conedison. This is was the one item I wish we could avoid but thats the electric company for you. YSG Solar has installed solar for several of my co workers and this is how we met them, Thanks again we really appreciate your help!

My 12kw system is generating more power than expected. It was a very good installation and overall, my savings each month exceed my loan payment, so the transaction was a success.

Update: In July 2019, I banked $74 worth of power in addition to what I used. My electric bill was $17- the monthly minimum charge from Con Ed. Including my loan payment I was still only around ~$100 all-in for the month that has historically been my most expensive summer month- last year (no solar) the bill was $450.

I would give them 5/5 in workmanship and my satisfaction after all the issues were resolved. (Please see my initial review below.) Since the last review, the system has been connected and working fine. My first solar production started on June 26th and I have a full month of satisfaction since then.

One note for anyone trying to finance their system, please make sure you ask about the system base cost and dealer fees separately. Dealer fees is huge 15-20% that bank charges to your solar company and they pass on to you. So if you are financing, you are paying upfront 15-20% extra which is rolled into what you are borrowing. I learned it quite late.

My system was installed over 3 months ago now. It's still not activated yet. First I had to go after them to finish electrical inspection and now for last month I've been emailing and calling them to activate the system and show me how to monitor, but no concrete response yet.

My frustration led me to write my first negative review of the lifetime. After 3rd loan installment and sunny days and no solar power.

I had a great experience with ysg solar. I purchased my system 3 years ago and it worked great. Never had any issues at all... when i put my house for sale, it lasted 2 days, and a main selling point was the solar system.

The best thing about ysg was the financing option with the bridge loans.

Hope you never need service. Simply no action, after months of asking, sorry, pleading for a site visit. Nothing. Unit has been down for months, brick on the roof at the cost of a new car. Simply can't be bothered. Running me in circles.

Not sure if anyone should be treated so poorly. Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow. I've given up that they will ever show up.

The SolarEdge is no better. Classic, we do not have field operatives. So guess my warranty is worth nothing. Buyer beware.

Don't Trust this Company: This is how they deceived me...

I was going to wait and replace my roof first, but was assured by YSG Solar that temporarily disconnecting and reconnecting the solar panels was common and wouldn't cost much more than $400. Considering this option, I double (and triple) checked this price with Steve, the salesman, who I worked with. He confirmed that this was a service benefit that [YSG Solar] provided to their clients. So, I converted to solar... and was satisfied.

One-and-half years later, I had the funds to change the roof and contacted YSG Solar to schedule the temporary solar panel disconnection. Finally, I received a call after a week's worth of failed attempts at trying to reach someone capable of assisting me. On the phone was the same salesman, Steve, who sold me the system, with a quote of $3,400 - plus materials. I reminded him that on at least 3 different occasions, he assured me that the temporary disconnect would not be much more than $400. However, this time, he denied quoting this price AND insulted me by implying that $400 was just silly and unreasonable, despite his confirmations prior to installation.

It is unfortunate that a company would be so dishonest. This situation leads me to believe that YSG Solar just wants to sell their product without regard to integrity or their customers' well-being. Just like the stereotypical used-car salesman, they do not stand by their word.

Instead of solar saving me money, which was the entire reason for this purchase, it is going to cost me (at least) another $3,500 - all because of YSG Solar's lies and deception. I am completely disgusted.

If you're in the market for solar, I suggest you find another company and DO NOT USE YSG Solar!

Very good customer service to help set up interface and autopay. Company did all negotiations to smoothly switch from con ed to them. I didnt have to deal with any of that. Easy way to go green

Electric bills have been reduced by 90% even when the A/C is at 68. We expect some months with credits when it cools off. System operates hands free and monitoring app is very cool. The information from the monitoring app can lag, we had to change the connection twice times. YSG took care of all the paperwork for us and we just had to sign!

We had solar installed back in 2015 by YouSaveGreen. The solar works great and our bill has not been above $50. We used to pay over $200! They energy audited our home during the first meeting. We had been impressed with all of the recommendations. He found out our air condition vents had been using more energy since they did not have a seal. This made sense since all of the vents are in our attic.

YouSave installed solar panels on our home over three years ago. We thank them still reaching out even years later. This was the best project we have ever done! Our entire house was upgraded with insulation and solar energy our highest electric bill has been $90. We love our solar panels!

I really wanted to like the company. I even started recommending it to friends. Not anymore. Not after the disastrous installation process that is still ongoing.
I reached out to YSG because they were one of the few companies that said that it would be possible to install solar panels and back up battery in NYC. After numerous confirmations, we agreed on a system, with a Sonnen battery, which was promised to me would work. I trusted the experience and the knowledge of YSG in the space.
Over a month later, after constant prodding, we agreed on installation timing. On the eve of installation, I get a call from PM, who informs me that, after all, the Sonnen battery doesn't pass muster and we have to go with a different solution. Last minute bait and switch! No consideration for the customer, and the need to make adjustments to the physical size of the system.
Installation day. We make it clear to YSG that we would like the installation to be completed within that week. Monday. Equipment and crew is on-site. The initial work is on-going, but key components are missing! Railings are up, cables are installed, but the panels are still sitting in a pallet on the lawn. Components are nowhere to be found. PM is apologizing (yet again) that he can't find the components. Finally, some of them are ordered on Wednesday, with Thursday delivery. (the others are backordered until October!, yet can be easily found online). That means the crew will come to finish the job on Friday?! Wrong.. On Thursday the PM disappears. No way to get in contact with him, phone or e-mail. Finally, around 5 on Thursday a quick e-mail goes out that the installation will be continued (NOT completed) the following week.

So, installation is NOT done, panels and supplies are sitting on the front lawn, the EV charger request is still not addressed after 20 different asks, and there is a hole in the ceiling that one of the workers accidentally punched after working in the attic (which is supposed to get fixed on Friday). This is not work of a responsible, knowledgeable solar installer.

UPDATED to respond to the Owner: Your team made it clear that they have experience installing residential solar systems with battery backup in NYC. They don't. My experience is clear. If they did, they would know that Li-Ion is not allowed by NYC building code.

Additionally, I did not ask for an EV charger to be installed for free. The updated design included 2 Inverters, and only one was needed and installed. I asked your PM to install EV charger for the cost of second inverter. Your PM was the one that said that you will cover it. I have e-mails to prove it. Please don't mislead the public.

Stay away. These people are crooks who took our money, put up the panels and never connected them for one full year. It was only through our repeated efforts and requests that they eventually re-installed them properly. And though they accepted complete responsibility and offered payment to amend the situation, we have yet to receive compensation and will undoubtedly wind up in court. They are frauds. Do yourself a favor and find honest people looking to do good for the environment.

About half a day after contacting them they sent me a comprehensive analysis of the solar system they wanted to sell me, great you think, except they have never seen my roof or asked me what I want. Guy tells me they don't go on roofs until a contract is sign, they must be nuts if they think people will commit to them after 5 minutes of work that I can get for free on multiple websites. Beware they seem like pushy sales people. If you're in Brooklyn try BSW instead, total opposite experience.

Fantastic professional experience. We would strongly recommend YSG. The application is great, it shows us the power we are making and using in our home. After meeting with several companies we signed up with YSG. Once we got started it was quick and easy.

My solar system was installed on October 23rd, 2018 and inspected on week later and everything passed. I called in on July 23rd, 2019 after I was advised that there was still an open permit on the job. Since them I have called back 10 times and every time I called they take my information and said someone would call me back. Here it is September 7th and no-one still as not call me back and now I am in jeopardy of not been able to sell my house. I will never recommend doing business with this company. Their support staff suck.

Couldn't be happier! This company was very courteous, got the enphsae system installed. We can see all the solar panels from our computer. They used micro inverters that produce more power than I use, enough so that I am able to charge my electric car. Our electric bill since has never been over $50 a month. We got tax refunds in the first year!

Their customer service, especially after installation, was top notch!
We only had a issue with my meter with LIPA. There was some miscommunication with how that worked. As soon as I mentioned an issue, they were on it. The converter box has a plug so when we have sun we can keep our fridge and a fan running. That is a very nice bonus feature.

Not only was everyone incredibly friendly, they were also very educated. My husband and I put panels on our house back in 2012. He wanted solar for a very long time. When we purchased our house we made sure it faced the right direction. YouSaveGreen installed solar panels for three of our neighbors.

Installers were very professional. The only problem we had was trying to install the enphase system monitoring app on my phone which I gave up on. Otherwise the system is working fine Very knowledgeable staff who seem to be in business for the long haul.

YSG solar did some work for me in Brooklyn and I must say I was extremely pleased with work and professionalism. They were communicative and efficient. I would definitely be using them for any further work in the near future.

YSG delivered a soup to nuts package which helped take our house Off the Grid. The commercial grade panels combined with the battery system were exactly what I wanted & YSG made it happen. Big shoutout to Michael Michaels who is king with customer service & saw our project through from beginning to end.

Do not trust this company. The owner, David, is an absolute liar. I was promised a referral bonus and had to fight to get it. Many phone calls and emails over several months. At the end, he told me that I would receive half of what was originally promised and called me a liar. Don't fall for his act and don't trust him. Stay away from this company.

I am currently now on month number 2 of trying to get my solar turned on. All the installation is done(I think) yet I can’t get anyone to answer me as to why my system isn’t turned on. Emails texts phone calls still not on. They tell me they are submitting papers for approval from my town which you’d think would’ve been done before installation. Please be weary something seems awry with this company.
