Jon Dixon is the reason there is a fifth star in reviews. He showed up at our apartment at 9pm after his coworker had a family emergency because he didn't want to leave us hanging. He kept to his timeline as best as he could and called to update us any time there was a delay. He worked really hard for us, replaced all the pipes that were old and leaking in our shower. I don't know about prices because I'm just a tenant in the apartment, but I wish every professional who came to our door had as much integrity and dedication as Jon. I kept his card and I'll give it to anyone who asks for a good plumber.

When I reached out to John from performance plumbing I had all ready gotten a quote from roter rooter the day before. John was able to give me an estimate right over the phone and it was almost half the price of the other guys. He was polite, on time, and even cleaned up when he was done. I will definitely be calling him for any future plumbing needs. I give performance plumbing 5 stars!

I have been without a water heater for a while and I contacted Performance Plumbing. They came out the same day, gave me a reasonable estimate and fixed it. I had a hot shower for the first time in months. The personnel, Michael and Fred, were charming and efficient and I would definitely use them again. The gentleman who did the estimate, I think Chris, was super. Highly, highly urge them as a great outfit.

My Mom called Performance Plumbing and Jon Dixon was at her house a few hours later. Thank you for the professional work that was provided to my Mom! The work that was done was perfect and my Mom is so excited that she found an excellent plumbing company! Thank you!

John came to fix my shower faucets, he did a great job and demonstrated excellent customer service. I really appreciated the curtesy call in between service. I definitely recommend this plumbing services to everyone. Thank you John!

One of Performance Plumbing’s technicians,
Alan, stole $5,000 from my mother’s home during a service call. Alan has blocked my mom’s phone, and the owner, Jonathan Dixon, is not accepting incoming calls.

The ABQ PD has been unsuccessful contacting either Alan or Jonathan.

This review mostly reflects work done by a plumber working for Performance Plumbing.
In early January, Performance Plumbing (John) finished a tub/shower remodel job for one of my apartments. His worker took about 3 weeks to do this often staying late until 10pm, inconveniencing both my tenants. Soon after, the outdoor hydrant did not work. PP sent the same worker to troubleshoot this problem to no avail. I understood that John had a Covid case in his family and couldn’t do the work. However, his worker was available but didn’t want to troubleshoot an issue that he had caused.
PP already had been paid, so, there was no hurry to look into this problem.!

Soon, the tenant noticed the shower surrounds had been installed upside down. Only, when this discovery was made did PP and his worker come out (in May) to fix this problem. The new surround had to be ripped out, turned right side up and re-glued. When the wall was re-opened, they discovered a water line (to hydrant) had been turned off and the worker had forgotten to turn it back on.

I was ready to hire another plumber to trouble shoot this and I dreaded the consequence of doing this. All said and done, I am somewhat satisfied with the remodel, but the other problems caused by his worker are NOT acceptable:

Four unacceptable issues:
1. Inconveniencing 2 households by turning off their water more than once.
2. The other tenant could not water his lawn/garden when hydrant didn’t work (he had to buy a 100 ft hose to water from the front hydrant).
3. Taking over 2 weeks to finish this job, during which time tenant lost money by taking off work.
4. New surrounds was ripped out and re-glued. An entirely NEW surround should have been installed. Who knows if this re-glue job is going to last.

Performance Plumbing should compensate my tenant for the many times he had to take off work (lost income), other tenant having to buy a 100 ft hose and PP should extend the warranty on his work due to the surround re-glue job.

Needless to say, I would NOT hire these guys again!

We have called Jon Dixon of Performance Plumbing several times for one reason or another. To replace a kitchen faucet, unclog a pipe, fixed leaky toilets & or water heater, etc . He has ALWAYS been available, professional & prompt. We recommended him to our neighbors & they to were very pleased with him & the work he did for them. We highly recommend him.
