Sadly, it seems if they are contracted via a home warranty claim it's guaranteed they will be rude and unprofessional. The plumbing contractor that appeared at my home was unable to speak English and unable to communicate the issue. He called his office on speakerphone and all he said in English was not covered and then they both started to laugh. We told him to leave my property because he was rude. He obviously returned to his office and spread the word, because when I called the office to follow up on my claim the girl who answered the phone was rude right away, and she's never spoken to me before. I have no problem with the diagnosis, and I have no issue paying my portion, but I will not use 5 Star EVER. I would rather pay another service fee to AHS to get another company to do the work.

Argo did a great job. Very friendly, professional. You can tell right away he knows what he is doing.

Gary came to my house to review some work another plumber had done. A different plumbing company had done an inspection and told me a list of issues. Gary arrived and conducted his own inspection. He advised me the previous plumber was incorrect and cited several reasons why. He repaired a minor issue and left. I called the first company and spoke to the manger. He came out personally and completely agreed with Gary’s assessment. This manager confirmed the original plumber who said there was major issues was incorrect.

The technicians were great, as well as the gentleman that took over my service order in the office (towards the end). But I will say this.... Had this not been an insurance issue I would have fired this company and moved on, solely based off of the poor customer service that I received from lady in the office that was orginally handling my claim.

He explained what was wrong with each one and how he would fix them and then this dynamo of a man fixed everything. Mr Argisht (the technician who was in my mom's home) was serious and experienced. He did a great job replacing the water heater.

This 5-Star service company acts more like a 1-Star company. They came out in June to repair our A/C and the technician that came was rude and unprofessional and more importantly ignorant in A/C systems. We changed our thermostat to a Nest thermostat on April 5th and the A/C worked without problem for 6 weeks. The 1-Star technician said the system wasn't working because the Nest thermostat was wired incorrectly but he also replaced a few wires on the unit itself because they looked like they might be worn out. I knew damned well it wasn't the Nest because the system worked perfectly well for 6 weeks. I figured whatever he did outside must have been the issue because the A/C started blowing cold air again. A couple of weeks go by and the system is down again. 1-Star sends out a new guy, who was professional and polite, and he said there was no way the Nest had anything to do with the A/C going down before. He determined the system was low on Freon and that was the cause of the problems. Okay, we paid for the Freon and the system worked. Fast forward a few days and the system is down again. The same guy comes out and says it's the capacitor that's not working and needs to be replaced. Okay, he replaces the capacitor and the A/C seems to be functioning again. Guess what happens 4 days later. Yup, the A/C is down again. The same guy comes out and he tells us the A/C is fine and the problem is the circuit breaker (we noticed the circuit breaker kept tripping and shutting g the system off). He says the circuit breaker is melting at two different spots and the electrical system will likely catch on fire if it's not repaired right away; but, at least the A/C was working fine. Well, we can't have our house burning down so we arrange for emergency services from an electrician. The electrician comes out on the same day as the A/C guy and he inspects the circuit breaker box and he tells us the box is in great shape and everything looks fine. He said there was nothing that looked like it was melting and he said the issue is with the A/C unit.

Anyone who uses 1-Star Home Services for anything is a fool. Needless to say, we have contacted another A/C company to fix the system.

Please - if you have other options, do NOT call this company. America Home Shield Warranty sent them out to fix our Water Heater. The Status light indicated that the Flammable Vapor Sensor was causing an automatic shutdown. The technician came out, reset the appliance, and the burner lit. After the water heated - again the status light indicated a malfunction and shut down the system. We called the vendor. They refused to return. They said the technician successfully reset the appliance. This issue remains unresolved and without a reset the appliance will not reignite. On a subsequent call, the dispatcher hung up when asked for her name. This is a bad vendor my friends and hopefully this negative review will help future would be customers from soliciting the service of 5 Star Home Services. Rude, disrespectful, unprofessional, and unskilled technicians. Buyer beware - you have been warned.

Jus had this company cone out my water pressure in my master bath is just a trickle. Not as bad as in other rooms but for sure not normal. My service provider was here for 15 min and told us that we needed service on my water softener loop as well as our hot water heater. I asked if we get these serviced would they make a return visit if we are still having the issue. I was told that we needed to again go thru the Home warranty. So not I wait to make another appointment thru my HW. I feel that i was dismissed because of the home warranty rather then paying another visit and getting to the bottom of the issue. SHAME SHAME ON THE RECEPTIONIST FOR NOT GIVING me the time of day.

This company is not to be trusted they came out and blew my capacitor when the blower was the problem and they never showed back up or tried to contact or own up to what they did don't use this company

Had an issue with both of our A/C units. Contacted 5 star through our home warranty. Our service technician, Rueben, was very professional, polite and helpful with all of the issues we had with our units. If I were to use this service again I would definitely recommend Rueben! I’m sure the other technicians are just as professional, but I’d rather stick with what I know.

The technician from 5 Star Home Services (Minas) was was prompt, very courteous and honest. He repaired our AC unit quickly and affordably. A real pleasure to work with!

Home warranty had this company to come out and check my heating system, the person that came out and checked told my wife, it was a bad wire somewhere, and it took him 3 days to send his report in ,and the technician said it would cost 600 dollars to repair ,I only needed a thermostat which I replaced myself,

5 Star Home Services has a extremely professional plumber, Rob. He is very prompt, knowledgeable, fast, polite and will not stop until you are completely satisfied. He will be the guy I call next time I have a plumbing issue. Plus the receptionist is such a polite young lady. 5 Star is really 5stars!

I have been trying to use this company, thanks to my
Home warranty, to fix and or replace my AC unit. It took nearly a month of constant phone calls and showing up at their office to get any movement. Constant no shows, run around, not answering calls, and techs not showing up for days with no calls or explanation. I have filed complaints, spoke with the owner, to no avail. They are not customer service friendly nor expeditious on their intent. The AC install was fine but the follow up has started back to square one. No warranty info. No paperwork. One duct vent needs adjusting and a drip pan installed. Two weeks now and still waiting after the installer failed to show for 3 appointments.

Garry was very professional, nice and thorough in helping with my water issue. He went over and beyond in explaining things and ensuring everything was fixed right!

Gary took the time, with his own phone, to call the manufacturer of my water heater and get the repair taken care of under warranty.

In June, these people were sent to my house by my Home Warranty company for an A/C problem. In less than 4 minutes, the tech pointed out several problems with the unit and advised that the freon was leaking. He offered an expensive leak test. I declined his offer and got a second opinion from a different company. The tech from this company discovered that the unit contained over 3/4 freon. He did find one small problem, which he corrected.

I can not not say enough nice things about this company. From start, with their customer service representative, to finish with the technician, Garry. They made this process so easy for us. We were assigned this company through our home warranty company and when I initially called to get an ETA of service, after not having hot water for 2 days thanks to another terrible company, 5 star originally gave me a date of the following day. I explained our situation and that I had recently had surgery. The customer service rep pulled some strings for me and got someone out here within 2 hours. Garry was so knowledgeable and kind and I just can’t thank them enough.

This company was suggested to us via our home warranty. Our technician was Jerry and not only did he fix our problem, but he explained the problem in order to fix and diagnose next time. He did inform us that our system was a lot older and gave us recommendations for other systems. Great job, Jerry!

I summited a claim to my warranty for a clogged sink and the temperature nozzle being off and only giving hot water. 5 star home service was the company assigned. I was ready to go to war because in my experience its always a battle for the contractors to do the work. To my surprise there was no battle, Johnny came repaired both problems. Garry arrived initially and diagnosed the problem we had with our shower valve. He even let us know that we can get a free replacement if we call the manufacturer. Once the replacement came in he came back over and replaced the valve within an hour of calling. He was great! Super nice and very knowledgeable. I would HIGHLY recommend him and 5 Star Home Services!

5 star charged us $1,200
to repair our air. They said there's NO warranty or guarantee. The air works for 6 wks. Now we need a new air conditioner for over $4,000 & its 110°. & we have no money after waisting $1,200.
THEY WILL NOT EVEN RETURN MY CALLS.

The technician came and fixed my garbage disposal. It apparently just needed to be reset. I asked him how to reset it myself and he told me. Musheyh was very nice. I received an automated call telling me he was on his way prior to his arrival.

Last week, my water heater burst. I contacted my home warranty company, and they set me up with 5 Star.

When I called to set up the appointment, the receptionist/dispatcher was very pleasant and professional. I was able to get on the schedule for the next day.

Garry was also very professional, and really seemed to know his work well. He took a look, and said right away that a replacement was needed. He also pointed out some items that were not up to code, and noticed some water damage that would not be covered under the home warranty, but could be addressed under our homeowners' policy.

He quoted out everything needed to bring everything up to code, and arranged for someone to come out regarding the water damage. He didn't have the right size water heather with him, or it would have been replaced immediately (he had the standard sizes in his truck, but ours was not standard for the size of our home).

The next day, the dispatcher called me, and gave me the info on the replacement and items needed to bring things needed to meet code. She also gave me the price, which was discounted for my birthday (today). She said that Garry would be back to install the new unit first thing this morning, and he was.

The connections on the new unit look a lot more legit than the old one. I can't wait to hit the shower!

All in all, a very pleasant experience!

My 1st experience with the female assist wasnt very pleasant and she was rude, but Brandon called me back and was able to smooth things over and explain things in detail

I was told Garry would arrive between 10-2pm. He showed up EARLY at 9:30am. That was awesome that I didn’t have to wait around all day. Came in, found the problem, and fixed it within 30 minutes. The water valve behind me refridgerator was leaking. Five star service hands down! Will go through them EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Gary came to our rescue over Thanksgiving. As a recent retired Firefighter I appreciate finding great community services. We had a small plumbing leak that was hidden inside our walls for some time and didn’t show itself until it started leaking through the ceiling weeks later. Gary came on Thanksgiving day to inspect the damage. He called early to let us know he was on his way and arrived on time. He was polite, friendly and professional. He quickly found the problem and advised us of the needed repairs. We have a Manoblock system so I was prepared for the worst. He was honest in saying it would take 3-4 weeks for a replacement block and how he and 5 Star would work with American Home Shield to get the repairs coved. Gary was diligent in keeping up with AHS and the block arrived sooner than expected. He showed up on a Saturday with a smile and went right to work replacing the bad block. He didn’t mind my looking over his shoulder and explain all the in and outs of what he was doing. If you are looking for an honest, professional and knowledgeable plumber who represents a company that will give you a fair estimate and great customer services then ask for Gary and only use 5 Star Home Services Inc.

Wesley from 5 Star Home Services came to my home on Monday, July 30. We were without air for 2 1/2 long days after returning from vacation. The apartment was sweltering, to say the least. One Tech from a different company, Igor from Air Pro Master, was in on Sunday, and stormed out of the house after 1 hour, stating he could not diagnose the problem leaving us stranded without offering any alternatives. Wesley, on the other hand, worked relentlessly until he did get the problem solved repairing 3 issues associated with the AC failing to function.
Wesley was polite, professional, knowledgeable and courteous. He worked for almost 4 hours straight in the 109' heat in the home. I noticed him on the phone for back-up advice. Needless to say, we were grateful and happy he was assigned to our house. I highly recommend 5 Star for service, and in particular, Wesley, to get the job done right!!

My home warranty company sent a plumber from another company to fix a leaky shower, after three days it began to leak again, so they came out thanksgiving morning and said they not only couldn't fix it but made it leak worse, so i was unable to use my shower to having to cap it. i called the home warranty company and they contacted 5 Star Home Services Inc whig sent Gary. Gary found the problem, which was the other company using old/ used parts to fix my shower. Gary installed a new cartridge, which should have been done by the other company, and my shower hasn't dropped since! Thanks for being efficient, professional, and honest Gary!

These guys came to repair or replace my hot water heater. They were called on Saturday by my home warranty company and couldn't show up till Tuesday afternoon . When the technician arrived, he arrempted to drain. It. He shut it off, called mush and told he could not do the job because the stand wasn't fastened to the wall and the water heater was not under warranty from the manufacturer. He also told me the tank wouldn't drain because it was full of sediment. The date on the tank was decent 2017. My home warranty company called me and disallowed my claim because of the technician report. He said it was a manufacturer defect. The next day I called the manufacturer and they said it is under warranty. Howevvt, they require a plumbing contractor. They refused to sell to the homeowner. Five star wanted $1100.00 to replace my tank. So I drained the tank myself, bought a new tank from Lowe's and installed it myself. Five star will never work on my house again. The technician flat lied to me and the warranty ct. Screw you!!!

My water heater broke and I contact my insurance company for a replacement ,
The company send me a company that was a scam company - they did everything to get from me more money and weren't professional at all !!!!!
Then I fight with the insurance company for a second opinion - it took them 5 days to agree - that's when Enrique came to our house .
He was pleasant and super professional , he found out our water heater is still under warrenty and really there is no reason to pay so much money like the other company asked .
For sure 5 star home services inc is the only company I'm gonna use for plumbing and repairs !!!!!

Had a good experience with this company. It took 2 times to get it working again. Both technicians very knowledgeable and helpful. The first time they fixed the unit and got it up and running however 2 weeks later it the unit was working but there was no air flow,. The second technician found another issue. He got everything back up and running. Both visits fixed the issue so I am grateful 🙏

I had what I thought was a small problem with my shower, but it turned out that practically everything had to be replaced. It took a couple of visits but it all turned out perfectly. Maria was very friendly with her customer service skills and seemed very concerned with my problem. Very pleasant to deal with. I was assigned this company through my homeowners warranty- not only did they save my A&& they saved me a lot of cash!! While scrubbing my glass shower doors I turn on my shower wand to rinse the soap and suddenly the handle that controls the water is no longer connected! Water is running nonstop and I had no way to shut it off- panic sets in!!! Longstory short 5 star comes out and shut off water at main- initially they said I’d need to install a new valve which meant the walls of the shower had to be cut open- they needed authorization from the insurance so I spent an evening with no water in my home ;( insurance told me they’d only cover the valve repair not the rebuild of the shower walls- yikes!!!$$$ Today they sent Superman! Gary showed up on time, took a look and said we just need to get that cartridge that’s broken in the wall -out- I was certain I was being forced to do a basic remodel because the home is over 20 I’d never be able to match the tiles.. BUT low and behold this guy had some tricks up his sleeve and made my day!! He did not cut into the walls and instead insisted he could change the cartridge which was broken inside the valve and I’d be good to go and that’s exactly what Gary did!! I couldn’t be more pleased!! Gary was efficient, professional, and seemed to enjoy his job. I was at home alone and never felt uncomfortable with him at all- he was polite and a true vetted plumber- I hope management knows his worth!! Gary is a true asset for 5 star home services!! Our hot water heater went out and Gary was extremely professional and knowledgeable. The service was great and was able install the new water heater the next day.

Plumber was in experienced and wanted to charge $1200 and put in a new valve when all I needed was new stems (cartridges) $60. First he said it was the shower head, I told him it was the stems (cartridges). He didn’t listen. I called my prior plumber and he fixed it.

Robert is super amazing man he didn’t stop until he figured out what was the problem to the house heater. Very professional, he got the job done perfect and most of all he fixed the problem!!! Thank you so much Robert!!!

We utilized 5 Star Home Services for a diagnosis and replacement of our water heater. They were professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. Garry explained the entire process and informed of us of our options. Once the water heater was in-stock they installed it immediately. While at our property, Garry noticed a leaking pressure valve and had another work order in and the part replaced in under 5 minutes. I was told that someone would be here between 12 and 4. I let them know on the phone that I would need hydrojetting. A tech showed up at 1:30 p.m. he said he had nothing in his paperwork that said there was any clog and he didn't have a snake or a hydro jet. He said another tech would be here within 1 hour to with the snake to fix the clog, I reminded him out needs a hydrojet. Finally at about 4:00 I received a call saying that the tech with the snake would be on the way. I explained that a snake was not going to be sufficient. At about 5:30 a tech finally showed up and he had a snake. I told him he was going to need a hydrojet. He was very kind and he gave it his best effort but he said all he had was a snake and if that didn't work then they would be back. Now I know from experience and what another company told me in the past that in less than a year this is going to clog again I'm going to have to pay the copay to the home warranty company again and it's going to be a continual problem until it gets hydrojetted. I am not impressed with this company at all. All they have to do is the right process which a tech informed me last year needed to be done to fix the problem permanently. If the home warranty company wants to send these guys again I will refuse.
Update- We are now two weeks later and the backup happened again, because the repair was improper. I told the guy that it was going to happen like that. I called the home warranty company and they said that 5 star told them that my line was clogging because I was draining my pool into my kitchen sink. What an absurd claim! Luckily the home warranty company is sending out another provider.

My A/C has been out for 3 weeks now. (113 degrees outside, hotter inside) my AHS my home warranty company sent them out to repair it. 5 Star Home Services lied about receiving my air compressor last Friday and still hasn't scheduled the repair

I normally don't leave reviews but after seeing this guy trying his best to communicate in Spanish with my father's wife just made me do it.. his name is Robert and was very professional that was not the only reason, he came in and took care of business... I'd ask for his services if ever needed in the future.

I found 5 star to be truly 5 star, timely, professional, pleasant & knowledgeable. And the price is right. Highly recommend for water heaters. They even cleared up some preexisting code issues.

This company schedules my appointment two days after I reported be water heater busted. My schedule was from 7-11. I received a call at 8:50, telling me they are will be here between 1 and 5. Needless to say, I took the morning off of work since I work across town and gave them the respect of not having to wait for my commute back.
I explained to the caller this scenario she continued to talk above me not listening. She arbitrarily canceled my services altogether and hung up...

Just wanted to say Gerald came to my house today fixed everything that was wrong my ac is working perfectly not only was he nice and respectful he was professional

If I could give 0 stars -- this company would get it. AC home warranty (CHOICE) visit. The technician came out - did not listen to what I was telling him, spent 45 min. on the phone constantly while he proceeded to dismantle and completely shut off my a/c. Mind you, it was sporadically working and appeared to be a thermostat problem. He never checked the thermostat (which would be a quick and cheap repair) but instead went directly to the unit - got on the phone and never got off until it was time for him to leave. Then, he came in with a smile on his face and told me he needed approval from the Home Warranty company -- that he shut off the AC to prevent further damage, and someone would be back within 24 hours. I have now logged onto the home warranty company site, and see that this claim has been given to another company 3 days out and it is 100-110 degrees outside. Who does this to someone with a smile on their face? Either that technician didn't have a clue about what he was doing, or it is an intentional scam.
I hope every person who has a negative experience with this company reports them to the BBB and whoever they else they are affiliated with. Home Warranty companies need to pay attention to quality of work that their vendors provide -- because it gives them a bad name as well. Stay away from this company - BAD NEWS!!!!

I have used them before, so today I decided to use them again for my leaky sink through my home warranty. Not even 5 minutes after placing my claim, I received a call from a very nice gentleman, I believe his name was sasun, he scheduled my appointment for the same day. The technician responded as promised, actually one hour earlier, after confirming that the time was OK with me. The technician that came out diagnosed the issue I had and within 25 minutes, and my sink was up and running like a new one, thanks to these guys.

My water heater broke and flooded my garage. I called AHS warranty company and they gave me the runaround for days, while I had to sit for HOURS on hold on the phone just to get transferred around repeatedly.

They finally assigned my claim to 5 Star Home Services and I was able to get an appointment set up. They sent Garry to check my water heater and he showed me where it had leaked and that I need a new one.

By this time I had been taking cold showers for over a week! AHS was still giving me the runaround and I ended up catching a cold and laryngitis from the cold showers.

I was finally able to get an appointment with 5 Star to get it replaced because I had finally given up on AHS. Garry ended up calling me 2 days before my appointment and he told me he could come THAT same day to install it!!!

Needless to say, I was thrilled and he did such a good job. He was very patient with answering all my questions and I was able to take a long hot bath that night.

A year ago the warranty company come to our home turn the shower on and off and said everything was corroded and they would have to cut holes in the walls and it would cost $20,000 to replace all the pipes. So we disregarded it (we were not getting warm water).

Home warranty called a few vendors to fix our water heater and this company was the first option. The lady answering phones had the worst customer service when calling to confirm an appointment. She started yelling at me to say I didn't have appointment. I honestly couldn't believe the attitude she had when asking questions about my appointment. I now have another vendor scheduled. Even though I'm sure their company is very professional this front desk lady made sure I never use them again.

Garry was great, he was called in as a seconds opinion after another company was unwilling/ unable to diagnose why water was coming from an upstairs bathroom into my downstairs living g room. Contacted our AHS warranty and they sent out 5 star home services. At first I was nervous because you hear horror stories when it comes to plumbers. Robert came on time and fixed our faucets and hoses in both bathrooms and also our garbage disposal. My water heater was leaking on Feb.21 from a pin hole in the hot line out to the house, I turned the water off to the water heater and flipped the breaker on the side of the house. 5 Star was sent out Feb. 22 from Fidelity Home Warranty and they replaced the hot line, the technician told my Wife not to turn it back on until the water was gone in the drain pan and he also suggested removing the insulation around the water heater because it was saturated, when I got home from work in the evening I removed the insulation and my Wife had already removed the water out of the pan. I flipped the breaker and we had water until the evening of Feb.23, I tried the outside breaker and nothing, I called Fidelity and they sent 5 Star out on Feb.24 and he said it was a reset button on the inside of the water heater that tripped because the insulation on the inside was saturated, unbeknownst to us since he failed to mention that the first time. NOW Fidelity is trying to charge us for a call out fee and I tell them that the second call was because of the water line that started the whole issue, they say I would have to call 5 Star. When I called 5 Star the woman said it was my fault for turning off the breaker the first time and they won't call Fidelity and fix this issue. Terrible customer service, why would you call Fidelity and make yourself look bad even if it's the right thing to do.

Don’t give your job to them, Not recommend this company, it seems the home warranty doesn’t pay them enough and they try to charge you extra, they charged me 550$ extra for the stuff that I had it and they said you need to have the new one, this is not my problem my problem is that they charged way over price for the stuff that they changed. They know you have problem ( like leaking in my case) and you need to fix it as soon as possible and they push you through the edge.

We used 5 Star Home Service for repair of a gas fireplace that had lost the pilot light flame. Gary was very knowledgeable in this area and explained what caused the pilot to suddenly go out. Gary called and left a VM about 15 minutes before he arrived. This is always a good practice for service companies. 5 Star is is a company that we will definitely use in the future should the need arise. Their prices are reasonable and their service is great. They went out and replaced a water heater..... they charged us 485 dollars in non covered fees and removed the check valve for HVAC... Tenant Complained daily that they did not have hot water. 5 star keeps saying everything is working correctly and tenant has no heat or hot water.

Highly recommend. My home warranty company, Fidelity, sent them out to repair a toilet. Their technician, Argo, was friendly, courteous, attention to detail, fast, and respectful to my home. He explained everything and took his time to make sure the repair was done correctly. And in doing so, he completed the job very quickly.

Horrible experience with the women on the phone. She was rude right from the start and wouldn't listen to anything I had to say. My home warranty company sent them out to fix a sink that wasn't draining. They came out on a Friday and we went out of town. Upon return the sink is still not draining. The women I spoke to said it was drained while we were there so you'll have to pay again for us to come back out. She was incredibly rude. The technician from what I was told was very polite and did do his job.

I was assigned 5 Star Home Services through my home warranty. I was VERY impressed with how fast and professional this company is. After putting in a request to my home warranty company I was contacted within an hour. They told me Garry would be here between 11pm-2pm. Garry called at me 10:02am and said he would be early! My home warranty assigned this company to repair a plumbing issue. I had water pouring from my bathtub faucet and had to turn the water off to my entire house. This happened on a Monday night, I had an appointment for Wednesday. On Tuesday morning I called when they opened to beg for an appointment that day. They said they were busy and had no openings. I called the warranty company and requested any assistance. Sadly, they couldn't get an appointment for that day either. I kept the appointment for Wednesday. I received an email on Wednesday stating my appointment had been changed to the following Tuesday. An entire week after I submitted the claim. I called and spoke to the rudest lady ever who told me I had no appointment and that they called me and I told them I would call them back. I never received a call from them. She told me the their calls were recorded and basically called me a liar. I told her to listen to the recordings and she would hear the truth. Then she told me I did not have an appointment and if I wanted to set one I needed to make one. I told her she was incorrect about all of this and I would request a new service provider from the warranty. Poor customer service is an understatement.

This is a terrible horrible place. They were supposed to be here TODAY after we have been sweltering for 3 days. NOW they are saying they have to reschedule on FRIDAY. It has been 90 degrees in here since Saturday. They were supposed to come TODAY. I have a dog and 2 cats. We are dying in here. DO NOT USE these frauds. They are heartless horrible people. DO NOT USE THEM. If I have to shoot myself and my animals it will all be on them.

Just had an amazing & unexpected experience ~ You couldn’t dream of better service! I submitted the request through American Home Shield (my warranty) Friday about 11am & received confirmation call from 5 Star within 25 minutes saying they could have someone out Sat. between 9-1. Their technician, Garry, called at 8:45 Sat to say he was on the way! He was knowledgeable & extremely thorough, but also quick & efficient. Super professional & friendly guy ~ he identified the problems in a few minutes, explained them, and fixed them quickly.

On the second visit by an experienced technician a very nice man, we finally came to a bottom line of my AC problem, and I really appreciate his visit, even tough he claimed we need another type of professional, not his field I appreciate.

Our AC unit went out. In the middle of this Las Vegas summer heat wave. You always hear horror stories about plumbing and HVAC services charging you for stuff thats not even broken. We called and talked to Mushegh who advised us that the technician will be at our house as soon as possible. The technician Pato showed up, and my God I've never seen anyone be this professional and courteous. He completed the job in less than an hour and advised us on further maintenance that will be needed. I will definitely be going back to these guys, and recommending them to anybody who needs it. Garry was exceptional.
I expected to get the run around because he was performing warranty work for our home warranty. We had a pipe burst and damage walls and ceilings. He got it repaired enough to get us through the night and came back and did a complete repair the next morning.

They were the second opinion from our home warranty company. Our technician Gary immediately diagnosed the issue and communicated with our home warranty company that the issue should be covered. Gary was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Would highly recommend and use in the future.

Gary our service tech was an extreme professional. He found the leak quick and continued to ask me if I had any questions, comments, or concerns, while he fixed our problem and after he completed the fix. We really appreciated his help with getting our house back to normal.

Our property manager recently sent 5 Star to fix our water heater. The technician lit the pilot light and said we would have hot water in an hour, which didn't happen. The pilot light had nothing to do with the water heater being broken. A professional plumber should know the difference. When asked to come back to fix the problem they informed our property manager that the problem was fixed and they weren't coming back. The property manager contacted Drain Bears who came out and replaced the hot water heater. We gave them a 5 star review and gave 5 Star 1 star review just for showing up.

5 Star Experience. They sent a knowledgeable friendly and professional to my moms home today. Super shady when you call a company that's sends out a technician that tells you that your home warranty won't cover your repairs and he'll charge $1700 cash to do the work on the side but it will cost an additional $160 cash to get into the warehouse for the parts. After speaking to the home warranty that is going to be covering part of the work out of pocket is only going to be $600 now. This technician is stealing from the company and lying to the customers. I am going to be making a complaint with the owner of the company.

Gray was Excellent!customer service, friendly and detailed. Last AHS plumbers that were sent out were horrible. Basically didn't want to work. 5 star gets 5 stars from me.

I was a little skeptical when I read the reviews prior to calling in for service from my Home Warranty. I read numerous reviews about poor customer service with the receptionist or who ever answers the phone. Well my experience was no different this morning. I called to get the status on my call and was greeted with I can’t hear you you need to speak up. I talk louder and she says why are you yelling at me in a very rude demeanor. I said I’m just trying to get a status. “We just opened and haven’t got to it yet.” She continued to say you may want to contact your home warranty company, I don’t have anyone available today. First she lives in Vegas just as I do, this was the hottest weekend of the year and yes it happened. I would expect just a tad bit of empathy. I didn’t ask for a tech for today, just a status. Just on the phone call alone, I would never recommend such company to anyone. Techs may be alright, unfortunately I didn’t make it that far before requesting a different company from my home warranty. 5 Star is misleading when you have a 1 Star receptionist. You can do better.

Home warranty company scheduled an appointment for today from 11-3. 5 Star Home Services was a no call, no show. When I called to ask where the technician was the woman got an attitude and said we never had an appointment. Avoid this company at all costs.

5Star...name says it all! Honestly-Wesley was super! Company was dispatched thru our home warranty they came out fixed the issue (AC stopped working) but that same evening it went down again. Left a msg and followed up with a call the next day-they sent Wesley out right away and he was able to fix! I would have missed him if he wasn’t so tech savvy! After explaining the problem he determined it was an outside thing and advised I didn’t have to rush home; I have remote access to my homes HVAC - one tap he saw what went awry, texted diagnosis, replaced another part and temp now reads a comfy 76! THANKS WESLEY!!

Not only was his quote on par to what i was expecting, his information and knowledge put him over the top. In the end his final price actually dropped below his quote. If you are looking for a plumber or you are utilizing this company, I recommend you request Garry.

I was having a problem with my central air and reported it about 330 in the afternoon. 5 Star Home Services was here the next morning at 7:45. Rubin, the technician was very professional and knowledgeable. He assessed the problem, fix it and was out of the house within 45 minutes. The lady who answered the phone was very unprofessional and sounded like she was in bed as if I disturbed her. A guy from this facility came out two different times to diagnose a problem and each time the problem was worse. Overall very unprofessional and has no clue of what they are doing.

Filed a claim with my Home warranty company ~ American Home Shield for a clogged toilet. 5 Star Home Services came and used a snake to clear the clog and scratched the porcelain in the toilet bowl. Both AHS and 5 Star say that they are not liable for any damage during a repair service. I have been using AHS for over 10 year but definitely will not be renewing my contract with them. I also will never use 5 Star Home Services again. The guy who answered the phone was very abrupt and unhelpful.

Be careful this company rips you off. I had a clogged sewer drain and my home warranty sent this company. Off the bat they wanted to charge $250 to use a camera to check the line. I said alright and the guy came and put in the camera and said the line is filled with water which I knew already and put is a snake and tried to clear the drain. He was there for may be an hour and said his snake is not long enough and will have to reschedule and come with a longer snake. This was on Thursday and I could not use water at all as sewer water will leak in to the house. They called and rescheduled to come on Saturday between 9-12. We could not live in the house and stayed in a hotel. On Saturday I was waiting till 12 and no one showed up. I called the company to see whats going on and the girl who answered the phone said that there are roots in the line and the line has to be rerouted and would cost $8500.00.
Then I called a professional drain cleaner Discount Drain Cleaning and he was able to come the same day. He said he will charge $250. He had all the equipment to clean drains in his truck including snakes in all lengths, cameras, hydro jetting. He used a 100ft snake and spent about 1.5 hours and cleared the drain and gave a warranty for 30 days. Now it is almost 2 weeks and still I don't have any problem.
So please take a second opinion if this company tries to charge you too much.

I had a leaking garbage disposal and had the pleasure of having Garry come to the rescue. He not only replaced the disposal in record time he also educated me where the nasty smell really comes from. (It’s the hose from dishwasher) Garry cleaned it for me and saved me money from avoiding buying those disposal air fresheners because all you have to do was clean the hose. I hate that I had to use plummer but glad it was Garry from Five Star

This company is great! They keep customers informed on whats going on. I had hired another company in March who never finished the job! I called 5 Star and they sent me Rueben who is amazing. The other company had removed parts from my a/c unit, well Rueben after about a few hours, found parts and after months of no air, Rueben and 5 Star had it fixed! I'd recommend this company to everyone.

The repair people were fine.
Scheduling was terrible.
They gave us time frames for the first few days and that's fine but TODAY
on 7/1/2021 they gave us a time frame of 10am-1pm

It is currently 6 pm as I write this and I have called the customer service hotline 3 times already.
The excuse was that the technician was on their second call of the day and we would be next.
I had to miss work. They have been trying to fix the issue for over 10 days now.

My home appliance insurance decides which contractor to assign whenever I request service for any issues in my house. Since I do not have a choice, I am always at the mercy of contractors that are not of my choosing. I have found that often when workers cannot fix problems due to lack of skill and competency, they revert to misleading and false technical explanations, in the hope that the customer gets hoodwinked by the tech lingo. I have had recurring plumbing issues that no one was able to solve for a period of about three years.
I am grateful that one plumbing company, 5 Star Home Services was able to resolve my issues. I want to give my special thanks and commendation to TARON, the representative who was dispatched to my house. Taron was extremely knowledgeable of his skill. He was quick to troubleshoot and fix all the plumbing problems that had lingered on for years in my house. He had all the tools and spare parts needed on hand. He did not waste time going to purchase supplies or rescheduling the appointment. I was amazed and pleasantly surprised that he had a solution to my complaints. Thank you, Taron, for being thorough and competent in your skill. I would give Taron a ten out of ten for timeliness, professionalism, efficiency, and competency in his skills to fix problems. Gary came out from 5 Star Home Services, confirmed the cause of the problem as a defective Pressure Reducing Valve in my water supply system. He returned with the correct part and completed the repair.. He was also extremely helpful in explaining the problem and made sure I was satisfied and asked if there was any additional questions or concerns I had. Sasun did everything possible to keep me satisfied with the compony. They made two visits to my home to open my toilet stoppage. On the first visit it was Art, he cleared the stoppage and walked me through the process. Couple days after I was having the same problem again. This time Argo came out and cleared the stoppage again. They were all very professional and I had a good experience with them. But hopefully I won’t have a stoppage again haha.

Company failed to respond to the first appointment and rescheduled for the next day. They missed the 4 hour window and called and said they would have to reschedule a third appointment 2 days later. The Technician was very unprofessional on the phone and the office receptionist wasn’t much better. They should change the name to 1 star service.

The gentleman (I think his name was max, from what it looks like on the receipt) that fixed one of our units worked very diligently on getting the compressor and getting back to us as soon as possible! We were so appreciative of him making sure everything was running perfect!

These guys were very professional. Unlike other repair services they new exactly what the issue was and new exactly how to fix it. Not only that, but they were able to fix it same day and we didn’t have to wait for parts. Call it luck but if anything, we were lucky to have these guys sent for our repairs.

Our hot water heater went out a day ago. Gary came in and it’s mostly fixed a day later! He was a nice guy, quick, and very personable. We still have fans blowing because of the water damage, but we can take showers again!

We contacted our home warranty for a leak we found in our wall. They sent 5 Star Home Services to inspect the problem. Gary is the technician that showed up and advised us of his plan to make the repairs as long as the home warranty would cover it. A couple hours after he left, the home warranty called us back and let us know that the repairs were going to be covered under our policy. Four days later, Gary came back and made the repairs. Gary was polite, professional and pleasant to deal with. If we ever have any other plumbing issues we will request to have them send out 5 Star Home Services and request that they send Gary.

Air conditioning went out in Las Vegas yesterday, called and was able to get 5 Star Home Services out today between 9-12 (You know how that is?) Wesley actually arrived early at 8:30am the AC was up and running in 20 mins.. House is cooling down.. Wesley was very courteous and represented his company like a professional. Thank you so much!

Took 2 weeks for our tankless water heater to be repaired- we were without hot water for that whole time. They were “waiting on a part”… why wouldn’t you expedite it?? We could have ordered the same part and gotten it within a couple of days, which we would have done if your people didn’t keep beating around the bush and telling us they didn’t know the exact part every time we asked. All companies care about these days is making money.. so sad. We will never use this company again. I DO NOT recommend them.

I should have done my research but in my own defense it was who my home warranty used. AC was not keeping up at my elderly mothers home. It was extremely hot and I was worried for her safety. 5 star came out. Said some kinda capacitor was out. And that refrigerant was low. I thought that was unusual because unit was fairly new. But I didn’t question technician. He added over pound of refrigerant $350.00 dollars worth. So when he left unit was working. But once it got really hot two months later unit failed again. This time I called a different company. When they checked refrigerant it blew of technicians fitting there was so much pressure. It was over filled a little more than a pound! Exactly what 5 star put in. So I paid another 350.00 to extract the refrigerant. There was also another issue probably caused by over filling brand new unit. Technician said it was a miracle that it hadn’t damaged the coil. When I complained young lady was nice said someone would get back to me. No call. Next day I called back and got a very rude man. Basically said 90 days no warranty. Blah blah blah. Use any one but 5 star.

Art was amazing. He diagnosed the issue swiftly and fixed the plumbing issue immediately and explained to me what went wrong. Can’t thank you enough Art, great work!!!!

Scheduling was pretty good. The installer came out and was very nice and professional. The water heater was pretty big so he needed to call help. When I came home, they had finished but unfortunately it looks like the water heater fell and hit the wall. Not a huge problem, accidents happen.

Garry, one of your plumbers, was just at our home. He tracked down and fixed a second story waterline leak which had migrated through a small sub-floor space and showed itself by leaking through the ceiling right over our formal dining room table. Garry was professional, knowledgeable and very personable. Hell, he even cleaned up. Will recommend to anyone needing a true PROFESSIONAL plumber.

We had issue shower leakage. American Home Shield requested service through Advanced home care LLC. The Technician said he can’t remove the Shower Cartridge and have to cut wall and redo the plumbing. I called them on Monday and told me that it will cost me $450 to do the job. 2 showers so will cost us about $900. Very dishonest technician. I will never recommend Advance Home Care LLC. Then I called AMH and requested 2nd opinion. Gary from 5 Star Home Service came in and replaced the cartridge in no time. Gary told me that we have Delta Faucets and cartridge is lifetime warranty if you are a first owner. I contacted the Delta Faucets and they sent the cartridges to me with no cost. Gary came by yesterday and replaced the cartridge for another shower in 10 minutes. I do really recommend 5 Stars Home Services. Ask for Gary.

Garry was great to work with. Friendly and efficient. Our hot water heater stopped working so we placed a work order with our home warranty company. Garry called to let us know he was on his way. He was able to quickly diagnose that the water heater had begun to leak and needed to be replaced. After a quick call the to the home warranty company he was able to replace it immediately.

I had a water heater burst and my home warranty company referred this company to come in and do the work. They took care of the issue quickly and was at my home early in the morning. They also made sure a restoration company came in to remove everything that had water damage. Thanks for all your hard work.

Horrible Horrible service! We called this company and explained to them our house was built with natural gas stub on the outside ready for connection. We just need a plumber to come out and hook our grill which is already natural gas not propane. So there was no need for any conversion. We just need the hose to run from our house to the grill. We were quoted $75 to do so. Tech came thru the gate asking for payment before he even view our equipment or house. He was very limited on his conversation with us. Did not answer any of our questions, nor allowed us to fully explain what we were requesting. He took two measurements and said he will be back he needed to see if the warehouse had the parts and he needed to run the request by his manager. Give him a few hours and he will be right back. A few hours later he called saying he could not fulfill our request because it required a permit and that was $2,800. When he questioned him about the $75 he charged he said that was for him spending his gas coming to our house. We called the office and spoke with the same employee who booked the appointment and was told he can connect the hose but the tech was under the impression we wanted to put pipes under the ground. We never had a conversation about putting pipes under the ground. We asked him to send the tech back out to do what we requested and what we paid for. We were told it would be another $75 because that's another trip out to our house. When I demanded a supervisor we were told he would call us back in a few minutes. We waited 3 hours before calling back. Asked for a supervisor and we were told we were not going to be serviced because we didn't want to pay the $2,800 for the pipes under the ground. Which we NEVER asked for. I asked to speak to a supervisor again and the employee hung up the phone. We called back several times and they wouldn't answer. So they mislead us into paying $75. We are out of $75 and still need a plumber to connect our natural gas grill to our already ready stub on the house.

5 Star is the worst company I have ever dealt with! The technician had no idea what he was doing. He fixed the unit at 9 pm and by 9am the next morning, it went out again. The same tech came out the next day and fixed the unit again. Within 2 hours, it was out again. The tech came out for a third time and said he had no idea what was wrong with the unit. He said everything looked good to him. At that point we asked him to leave and had another AC company come out. Turned out 5 Star had installed the compressor wrong, did not bolt it down and used to small of electrical wires. That caused all kinds of problems including burning out the wires, disconnect box, contactor, etc. We ended up buying a new AC unit. I would never recommend 5 Star to anyone! Customer service is awful and they are not well trained.

The HVAC work that was done seems to be fine. My problem is with the professionalism of the technician and most especially this company's customer service. Our technician was here 2 days in a row. The first day, he accessed the problem and explained he would need to come back the next morning at 9:00 am because it was already too hot in the attic. I know. I am sitting in a house with no AC in the middle of a Las Vegas summer. I get it. So he leaves and I realize that he has left a mess. Insulation all over my laundry room and in my garage. I was irritated (Remember, I am sitting in a hot house), But I clean it up because I feel for the guy. The next morning he is late. He gets here at 10:00am (He told me 9:00 am but the appointment had a four hour window). Whatever, dude...just get it done (One would think at this point that it was already too hot up there, but who am I to complain?). I have to leave because I am already late for a previously scheduled meeting. I have my Dad here to help lock up after the technician is done. I get home this afternoon to find another mess in my garage and laundry room. There are dust marks and scratches on my brand new dark gray Electrolux washing machine from where he obviously placed something. Ugh! I call customer service to explain what happened and was told that I should really understand since this poor technician has to deal with the heat all day. Uh...what?!? So, let me get this straight. Not only will I not receive an apology, but I am now a heel for not being more considerate of my technician? 5 Star Home Services...I am pretty sure you all DO NOT understand what that means. 2 very enthusiastic thumbs down!

I had Garry from 5 Star handle my home warranty job of replacing a leaky manablock. He was very professional and pleasant to deal with throughout. Highly recommend and will use them again for future plumbing needs.

I had an issue flushing the toilet in my ensuite bathroom. First, the technician was Garry. He was extremely professional and gave me all the information ahead of time. He told me upfront that he would have to remove the toilet to examine the problem and gave me a range of cost depending on the problem(s) he might encounter. When the office personnel called to make the second appt., she was extremely polite. Garry arrived during the time indicated. He started with the least expensive way to solve the problem and there is was! Problem solved! As well, I thought I needed a new toilet and he informed me the toilet was in great shape and didn't need to be replaced. Honest and professional. I would recommend this company wholeheartedly!!

Gary came out today and had the problem solved and repaired within 10 minutes. Great service and very friendly.

My water heater went out on February 11th. This company was assigned to me by my warranty company American Home Shield and they came to my house on Saturday February 12th. The technician diagnosed my water heater as leaking and needed to be replaced. He then tells me that I will have to wait a week to over a month to get approved a replacement by AHS. He then tells me the water heater that AHS uses to replace mine is a piece of junk. He then tells me that his boss authorized him, at a expedited fee of $350 to use there unit which is a Rheem. He then tells me that I have the worst policy with AHS and that they hardly will pay anything. That the hoses, the pan, the earthquake straps, pulling the permit and most of the labor is not covered by my policy. He then tells me that my out of pocket is going to be $1400. He said that if I did not have AHS that I would be paying $2200 and he proceeded to show me other customers contracts that had that price, as well as other AHS customers who have been waiting since January 8th to get their water heater installed. I paid the $1400 and called AHS on Monday to ask why they do not cover all the expenses. The rep at AHS called this contractor who told them I struck a side deal with him. This is a lie. I paid what I did based on what I was being told. It is not a nice feeling to be taken advantage of and scammed out of coverage from AHS. If you have AHS and get assigned to this contractor, get someone else, or call AHS if they are telling you nothing is covered and you have a bad policy. I am currently communicating with AHS for a resolution. This is just bad business and NOT 5 STAR. Take your business elsewhere.

Sent by warranty company to diagnose leaky water heater. I was on a video call and did not hear the doorbell over the very loud meeting chatter in my ear. When I found the card in the door an hour later, I called. The dispatcher, quickly called the plumber and he was back at my house in 30 minutes and replaced the leaking drain valve. I'm appreciative for the dispatcher making the call and the plumber willing to come back. Both could have just told me to reschedule.

I had a hot water heater burst, so I called American Home Shield (my home warranty). They only covered some of the replacement of the hot water heater, but a second company had to come out to remove mold supposedly, so they tore into the bathroom walls. I was told the insurance company claim was approved before they started tearing into walls. That company came back to get their equipment a few days later, but when I asked when they were finishing the project to put my bathroom back together, they said it was not their problem and it was actually this 3rd construction company that would be doing the work. I had never spoken to this third company and did not even know that a 3rd company was involved in this project. After several days of trying to get something scheduled, I received an email on 7/27/22 stating that they would not be completing the work and I needed to figure it out. I still have a giant hole in the closet & the bathroom, and there is no sink or anything put back together in the bathroom. This is unacceptable for a business to agree to work, state that the insurance company claim was fine, and then just not complete the work. I paid this company $999 for the completion of this service, and it has not actually been completed. It is unacceptable to collect money from me and the home warranty company without the job actually being completed. I want to ensure that others are aware of this scam across these 3 companies.

Garry installed my water heater and completely hooked me up. Excellent work. Very knowledgeable, patient, and responsive to all my inquiries. Overall, excellent experience. Would recommend.

bad deal from the start , i had new water heater bought the day before from lowes, i just needed the connecting hoses changed, warranty said its covered, this 5star plays games , he ask for the service call immediately and then start sending pictures and made up his mind he wants more cash start to talk about the water heater installation instead i told him just change the hoses and installer will complete the water heater installation, no he asks for $ 200 cash to change the hoses and tells the warranty company that water heater failed due to sendiment build up on the hoses , total lier and unprofessional and money soccer, conclusion i went to home depot and got the connecting hoses for $26 and it took me 20 mts to install everything thing works perfect and this scam company took my service call for nothing

I had a water leak from the ceiling of my garage which is right below my master bathroom shower. I called my home warranty company and they scheduled me with this company. Garry came and one other guy and they started thermo-imaging to show where the wet area was and went up stairs to look at my bathroom. Without opening up any drywall, Garry told me the shower tile was the issue(incorrect installation) and not the plumbing or drain. But the tile was with the house since 2004 and never had an issue till now. He told me to contact the home owner's insurance right away while he was there so he can help coach me with what to tell the insurance company in order to get my case accepted. He told me his office knows how to pull more money out of insurance companies and warned me to call right away to avoid any potential mold issues. He was very good with make it sound very urgent and that it was a huge problem with the water leak and estimated a cost up to 20K-30K or more, and he also told me if I didn't call the insurance company right away they might deny my claim and I would have to pay out of pocket. Luckily my gut feeling was telling me something didn't sound right so I told him to leave his contact number and leave. He left the authorization for service form for me and told me to sign and send it back to him after I receive the insurance claim number ( I attached photo of the form to this review and it's full of nonsense). I later found out that he reported to my home owner's warranty company saying it wasn't a plumbing issue so my warranty was denied. I called a plumbing company and they confirmed that it was a leak coming from the drain and piping so total cost to fix the issue was $650 NOT 20K-30K Because of this company my home warranty was denied when it actually was a plumbing issue.

I called 5 Star Home Services and they sent me an Angel called Gary!!! Its the day before Thanksgiving and my water heater broke, and its cold!!! Thankfully Gary came assessed the situation and gave me an estimate. Within an hour I had a brand new water heater installed. He was amazing and super professional. 5 Star Home Services, you have a new customer for life!!!!!

Tha fan shaft hit the compressor and the blade broke later causing big noise and vibration in the outdoor unit

5 Star was sent to us by American Home Shield, who charged a $125 service fee.

Our plumbing issue was not covered by AHS (which kept our $125 service fee), and 5 Star told us that in order to fix the problem, they would need to tear out drywall, or cut into stucco or both. They would need $650.00 before they would schedule service.

Since they had been referred by AHS, I thought they were respectable.

Silly me....

They showed up for the appointment, said they wanted to see if the outside pipe could be fixed first, so they wouldn't have to cut into the stucco or drywall.

And miracle of miracles... the problem was resolved.

Had a leak. The came Earlier than scheduled knowing I had no water.
GARY WAS NICE PROFESSIONAL CARING AND HELPFUL. I would recommend these guys to anyone. I am in the remodeling business and deal with contractors all the time so I know what I'm talking about.
