A driver of a company vehicle stopped to yell and curse at me while riding my bicycle on Capehart Road, minding my own business. I will not hire Southside for plumbing services. I do not want that kind of unprofessionalism in my home. Share the road.

10 minutes & a zip tie = $208
Don't use this company unless you are looking to get ripped off. Literally, 10 minutes in my home and applied a zip tie to my sump pump float and then turned around and charged me $208. When I called the company regarding this, they said there was nothing they could do and that I was told what the charge was going to be when I called. THEY DIDN'T AND BASICALLY CALLED ME, THE CUSTOMER, A LIAR by arguing about the conversation. Worst communication and customer service skills I have ever seen with a company. Only gave them one star so that I could hit the post button.

Do not use this company. THEY WILL DESTORY YOUR BELONGINGS!!! I’ve regret ever hiring them. I had a simple tub clog. I told the plumber to be careful as I just had the tub painted, he ended up not putting any material down to protect the tub and his metal machine ripped the seal and paint off my tub and the faucet leaks now. I’ve been trying for weeks to get them to fix the damage but they have refused to do anything. It blows my mind that a company would do work st your home destroy something and refuse to fix it. There are other companies who take responsibility for their work and have some sense of customer service. I can’t think of any place that would not only refuse to fix damage they caused because of negligence and at the same time continue to lie and jerk you around. These are not experienced plumbers or from my experience not even worth one star as far as customer service.

If I could give 0 stars I would, they agreed on repairing an item they broke while working at my house but never did so even tho I have emails from them saying they would. Would not recommend!

This company is amazing. They came in at 7:30 and brought a whole crew to get the pipes dug up and replaced. They were the neatest plumbers ever and so fast and they were friendly. I am so impressed with this group of guys. I have been using plumbers in my business for over 30 years and these guys are the best.

We had to build a new bathroom in our basement. Called Southside Plumbingto place new plumbing and shower stall. Ray gave us an estimated cost and completed the job. Ray was very knowledgeable and completed the job ahead of schedule. Will be sure to use Southside Plumbing and will always ask for Ray.

Southside plumbing is professional and responsive and they do incredible work. They have helped me with many repairs and projects and get it done in a timely manner. I recommend them for any of your plumbing needs and repairs.

I wanted to proactively get my main sewer line cleaned out to ensure there are no problems developing, so I called southside plumbing and spoke to Josh in mid May. He gave me a quote and I scheduled a time for a technician to come out the following week. When the technician arrived he apologized and said he did not have the correct equipment in his van to clean out my line. He left and assured me someone would call me to reschedule. I receive no such call, so imagine my surprise when I received a $190 bill three weeks later stating they “ran my kitchen sink line “and diagnosed a repair estimated at $2500. After leaving multiple messages with the office staff, I finally received a callback from Josh. He apologized after I explained what happened, but then I received an amended bill stating I owe $45 for a “trip charge”. How I am responsible for this considering the technician arrived without the correct equipment is beyond me! What is even more frustrating is that I have called the office repeatedly for a month and this issue is still not resolved! The office staff state that only Josh has the authority to correct the charge, however he is consistently in meetings, on the other line, or out of the office when I call. He has yet to return my phone call four weeks later. Had I known what a headache it would be to deal with this company, I’ve never would have called in the first place.

Not very good service I had a guy come out I had to pay 133 dollars for him to tell me I need to call and schedule another appointment for them to fix my problem and when I did call back I got awful customer service from the lady on the phone and they just wanted more money all of this for one clogged drain. You know if u can’t run a business don’t try.

Wonderful company. Fast efficient and very courteous. I have used Southside for years and have recommended them to friends and family. The crew that repaired my sewer line was the greatest! They kept me informed on everything they were doing. When I have plumbing problems they are my go to company.

Bill is an absolute delight to work with! He takes care of all of our condos in our building, which is an old historic building so challenging issues arise often. No matter how complicated, he can handle it all. Plus he's friendly, professional, affordable and reliable with high quality work. Can't imagine working with anyone else!

We had these folks come out last year and at that time I was impressed. Sergio worked so hard to get our sewer dug out and repaired. Honestly never seen anyone work that hard to fix a problem. It was expected to take a few hours and ended up taking a day and a half but they worked the whole time, smiling as he went. Highly impressed when they were here.

Never showed. Waited from 12p to 5p and they never showed. Kept saying they were on their way but 90 minutes later still no one. Won't recommend them at all.

WAY OVERPRICED. Used my material and still charged me $400. They had a broken tool and charged me miles plus their hourly rate.

I scheduled an appointment and they got a service tech out to my house right away. The lady I talked to on the phone, Kayleen, was super helpful on making sure I got everything I needed. I will definitely will be telling my friends and family about this service!

they broke my bathroom vanity and said they would fixing before we had to pay the bill. now 6 months later I get a random call about the bill being sent to collections. the women I spoke with , Tessa I think, was particularly difficult and a not a nice person at all. her attitude alone would be enough to keep me away in the future

Update: Found out they actually damaged the neighbor's line, repaired it (sort of) and walked off. Later, when it rained their basement flooded because they never patched the hole leading into their basement. Good luck with these clowns! Previous comments follow:
Southside damaged a neighbor's driveway with heavy equipment. I called asking for the project manager to inspect and report back. After 2 calls and 2 emails I never received a response. After being threatened to have the invoice sent to collections I was told that the owner was informed of my complaint about a lack of communications and he (or she) simply said to send my invoice to collections. Still no direct communications with me...

I thought customer service was a thing of the past until I dealt with the wonderful people at Southside Plumbing.
The tech in the office was so sympathetic to my needs and she sent a crew out to my home the same afternoon I called and the two techs that came out were polite, knowledgeable, made sure I knew what was going on and how to help possibly alleviate my problem in the future. Three of the best people I have dealt with in years. Being without water is not easy and I wish I had had their number 4 days earlier. Thank you for the excellent care you gave me and my mother in getting our water running again!

I hired Southside Plumbing to replace the pipes in my house to improve the water pressure/flow in my house. Two men came out and replaced the pipes. It was a big job so there were several holes in the drywall which was to be expected.

As soon as they left, I noticed my bathtub faucet and handles were moving within the wall. They were no longer stable. They were stable before they came to do the work. I called them and the guys came back out and did some caulking. I trusted them to handle it but after they left noticed the faucet was still moving within the tub. I decided this was not worth the battle and gave up on this.

They left several mineral stained spots on my carpet. They left dust/debris. I tried several approaches to get the stains out but could not. They told me their manager would reach out but he never did. I tried calling both one of the workers phone numbers and the office and got no reply. I reduced the amount I paid by $150 to purchase a Groupon to get my carpet cleaned. I texted the employee saying I was doing this and offered to let me know if his manager did not think this was fair. I got no reply.
So, I’m thinking this is over and done.

The drywall people come out to repair the walls/ceiling. As they are reaching the end and in the garage. I decided to run and take a shower. I hear shouting and so I head down after my shower. They tell me that their is a leak. I say that I will call Southside but decide with the unresponsiveness that it is not worth it. I place a call with the employee and the business number. I get no response. I pay the drywall people to finish the caulking in the bathroom which seems to stop the leak.

I’m thinking this is finally done! I then notice the water pressure is getting worse. The whole reason I stated the project was to improve the water flow to the tub. The water pressure/flow is now actually worse then when I started the project. I call Southside again where I lose it with the woman who answers the phone after she tells me that they are saying this has nothing to do with any work they did. Yes, she is just the messenger. I felt bad about this. Anyway, I finally get the manager to call me back.

They come out the next day and clear some debris from the faucet and call it all good. They say I will need to pay $600 to replace the valve. This is after promptly paying $1800 for the pressure release valve outside and $2720 for the work inside.

The pressure after somewhat improved after they removed the debris is now back to where it was before they started. I called today and they are now telling me that they not come out to repair it. They are also saying they will refuse to work with me at all.

I have never had this experience. I’m a pretty laid back person. I understood with this project there would be some destruction but I have never had a company leave such a mess. I have never had them deny any responsibility and be completely unresponsive. I have paid close to $5000 and I am exactly where I started. They said they are not doing business with me because I called too much and there guys had to come out too often.

I’m very disappointed.

I called at least ten companies from the BBB-rated plumbing company list on Friday. Everybody was fully booked for the day including Southside Plumbing. However, after I explained my problem, the wonderful lady at the desk told me that she would try to send somebody by the end of the day. Around 4 pm, here comes Ray, looks at the job, explains what needs to be done, finishes the job at lightening speed (less than 30 minutes) and takes off. My wife and I just could not believe that
plumber's work can be that fast and so efficient. With 40 years of plumbing work experience, Ray is the true expert and an honest
professional. We are going to ask for Ray for any plumbing work in the future.
Job that Ray did was removing the old shower valve from the tiled wall, adding two cut-off valves for the hot and cold water copper lines and two adapters to hook-up a new shower system.
Call Ray, you will be a winner!

It’s terrible their service ,

The hot water handle of both bathtubs either leaked or didnt work at all..

Two other conpanies had offered estimates for three times as much...saying the entire hot/cold set had to be replaced .and must
Break through the wall.

Ray was able to fix the situation by replacing only the valve stem that leaked...in each tub.
. .no demolition needed and one third the cost.

My family and I have used this company since the 90s and will continue to do so.

I had them come out and fix my main drain. It was clogged and water wouldnt go down. They came out and was extremly friendly. And fixed it no problem. Very family feeling from them. Jj and Shelby are extremly selweet and helpful.. and they didnt charge me a arm and a leg. I will be using them in the future.

Was quoted an hourly price for hot water installation , then when the guys got there I was quoted a higher price because it was going to take two guys (was wasnt that mentioned with the phone quote I rec'd) all I saw the 2nd guy do was help get the hot water heater on the dolly from the garage and I assume help with the installation to some degree, but I did hear him (the 2nd guy) take a couple of calls on his cellphone and they sure as hell weren't work related from what I heard..
Everything seemed to go well, the install was Friday November 11 & Monday night November 14 when I went downstairs to do some laundry I found water on the floor...one of the copper pipes was leaking above the water heater.... When I called in to get the tech back out to look at his work (now other than the hot water heater that had to be replaced, there was never a SINGLE SOLITARY LEAK from a pipe), he looked at it and said it wasn't his fault, the problem was with the fitting that he had nothing to do with......REALLY!!!??? and it was going to cost me another $156.00 to repair... after the initial $399 to install...the install was now costing me as much as the purchase of the hot water heater....So, what am I supposed to do?????? miss more time & money from work, and send them away? find another business that was more competent? or just bend over & take it up the azz?....you guessed it....option C....i dont have the time or money to keep missing work. SO THE LESSON LEARNED HERE ISWHATEVER YOU DO.....DON'T USE OR RECOMMEND SOUTHSIDE PLUMBING!!!

The company is always polite and good service ,efficient job to be recommended about languages they speek good their task the best ,bilingual plumber's honest and very respectable persons verry good and accurate.

Bad experience. I need quite a bit of plumbing work done. Called this place and they sent a guy out to look things over. He groaned and complained, then said he would get back to me in three or four days with an estimate. That was more than a week ago and I have heard nothing. I'm now looking for a reliable, responsive plumber.

They got a tech to my house the same day I called. When Ray showed up I was surprised by how fast the portly older fellow worked. He repaired our upstairs bathroom issue quickly and does fantastic work (no issues since, and others had tried). Ray deserves a raise and we will request him next time.

Super fast service! Plumber gave me honest quote on what needed to be done and didnt try to up-charge me. 1000x better than Burton. Only thing hurtin with Burton is my bank account.

Southside was timely in arriving to unclog our kitchen/bathroom drain, but 1.5 hrs later the tech said all he had accomplished in doing was spraying sludge all over the cabinets and floor but he couldn't unclog the drain. If we take the wall out, he said we could get someone to fix it. He then said he hoped his clean up was good enough and for that we were charged $133. As a realtor, in the past I have suggested homeowners use Southside. Not anymore.

These people guided us every step of the way to solve our sewer problem. And in the end they proved our problem was caused months ago when the city water main was replaced by an outside company. Chris was the plumber who came 4 an emergency Sunday call. He was very courteous, efficient & clean. He actually put everything back under the sink exactly how he found it & cleaned the cabinet b4 hand. I highly recommend this company!

Best service, from the receptionist who answered my questions and booked my appointment, to the gentlemen (Bill and Luis) who installed my water heater. I am very please and would use them again!

Aksarben Pipe & Sewer dba Southside Plumbing and also dba Next Gen Plumbing came out to snake the kitchen sink line and the mainline. There were ZERO leaks when they came. After completion, the serviceman said there was a small leak in the basement that he said must have been there prior to his arrival. I swept the floor prior to their arrival and there was NOT a leak. My father is a pipefitter and there was not a leaky pipe. The service person mentioned to his coworker that the snake was too big and he put on a smaller tip. Regardless, something they did caused the basement pipe to have a hole. I called the company and the boss, Josh, was to return my call after lunch. He has not called. I called back at 4 and the receptionist (who is extremely kind) said he is now in a meeting. I have not heard back. The man who called this afternoon said it would be my responsibility and take at least 2 to 3 hours at $110 an hour. I paid $178 yesterday to have them unplug the sink, not break my pipe. The kitchen drain drains perfectly now, unfortunately, it drains right out the pipe in the basement and onto the floor. I understand pipes can be compromised, especially if too big a snake is used. I'm just extremely sad no one has called me back. I just called again and the receptionist said the boss left due to an emergency. I guess a waterfall in my basement isn't an emergency. sigh

We recently did a large re-model project and southside plumbing did a great job. Nick came out and he was very professional and great to work with. We plan to have some more work done this summer and would definetly request him to come out.

We were thrilled to have Anthony Marquez sp? install our kitchen faucet and sprayer. We bought it at Home Depot and asked them to recommend a plumber. They included the fee for installation right on our sales slip which made it very simple. The price was very reasonable and Anthony was a delight. He was friendly, polite, and did excellent work. He cleaned up after the job and left everything spotless. I wish every home repair store had an Anthony, We've had a few sour lemons but Anthony gets a gold star for his work. We will call him again when we need a plumber. If you have an employee of the month, he would get 1st place in our book. gracia & bob

They broke my vanity wheel unclogging a drain.
We agreed the bill would be settled when my vanity was repaired, their technician took a crucial piece with him at the time, this was in June of 2022.
Now in march 2023 they tell me they are taking my account to collections and do not care about my broken vanity or the agreement we made. Not to mention the drain was never even fixed

Very disappointed with Southside plumbing. No show no call when we’re to be here between 12-5. Plumber called at 545 stating would be here at 9am. No show no call. When called to cancel and say would not use their services again. The lady said “that’s fine”. WTH

Great company very fast and they do good work

As a multi-unit restaurant owner for 33 years I’m grateful to have partnered with Southside Plumbing as our preferred plumbing contractor. Our main service tech Ray has been the most professional and thorough tech we’ve ever experienced along with Dos and many others. Great company!!

I needed my kitchen drain cleaned and after the tech tried for over an hour, I asked him to call his boss. After 7 unsuccessful attempts to clear the drain I was told his boss said they would have to have a specialist come and install a clean out for the kitchen pipes. I called a plumber and he came to house and said there was probably already a clean out for the kitchen drain. Sure enough it was behind drywall that the previous owners had installed. I called Southside plumbing and they said a drain cleaner would arrive between 8-12 the next day to finish cleaning the drain. That day at 2 pm I called and was told they wouldn’t be coming because they were still working on a drain from that morning. The boss got on the phone and didn’t like that I was disgusted with them for not notifying me that they weren’t coming and hung up on me. When I called back he told me to find someone else, that they wouldn’t send anybody else to my house. $240 later I still don’t have a clean drain. Southside takes your money with NO GUARANTEE!! Don’t use them - if any problems arise that they can’t fix - they take your money and run!
Southside Plumbing is not the company I’ve used before. The tech was wearing a NxtGen plumbing shirt.

Called July 3rd and July 4th for emergency..NOBODY EVER CALLED !!! why advertise 24/7 if you are NOT.....this is WRONG !!

Bill did awesome. Straight to business and had the problem fixed within an hour. Fixed our bathroom drain and leaking pipes in our basement.

The price was very good compared to other companies in the area that I had bid the project. Southside Plumbing replaced a lead service line for me from the street into my home. I was pleased with the promptness that they demonstrated in getting this done and everything works as expected. The only thing I am not very impressed with is they made a pretty big mess in my basement (unfinished but clean prior to the job). I was on vacation when they did the job so I wasn't able to see it until I got home. I've attached some photos.

Other than the mess, I would use Southside again and recommend getting a bid from them if you are disappointed in some other bids you are getting!

If you want a plumber with over 39 years of plumbing experience Ray is the plumber for you.

Bill did a great job in his analysis of the installation of a new faucet on our old 1900’s kitchen sink with drain board. He was very patient in figuring out the problem and his perseverance made for a beautiful appearance as well as functionality of our old porcelain cast iron sink. Bill was nothing but professional and friendly in working through the difficulties involved. We have recommended Bill to many others who have always been completely satisfied. Called Southside Plumbing at FreshTime for evaluation of leaks...They sent Ray out to assess the situation and was able to rule out a lot of expensive work thank goodness. I would trust this company and Ray for future issues for this company.

I was very impressed with south side plumbing because the plumber they sent out was named Nick and he was very charming and knew exactly what he was doing and fixed my pipes and I will definitely be recommending him to everyone I know! I have patronized Southside Plumbing for decades. They are reliable, responsive and efficient. They always do what they say they will. They don't linger for those extra dollars. They take responsibility for their work. The best, in my opinion!

Truly a 24/7 service unlike others I tried that morning. Had early AM drain backup in basement. Cory showed up earlier than expected, was professional, explained what he was doing, cleaned up thoroughly when done. Cost for service was reasonable, and I will use Southside Plumbing when needed in the future.

Just want to say Thanks to Ray who was great to come and fix my leaky faucet during this busy Holiday weekend. He was fast and replaced the part quickly, even though he had trouble getting the old part off. And the clean up afterward was appreciated. Thanks Ray....

Tech came within a reasonable time frame. Ray worked quickly and efficiently. Shower leak was fixed and hot water was restored. Very pleased with his work, will definitely request him for future issues.

I’ve always had good luck with Southside plumbing They are always very responsive and always gets the job done in a timely manner Very professional. And never had to call them back to fix something they already fixed !! I would 100% recommend Southside and Plumbing. For all your Plumbing needs.

Charged $800 to fix a toilet leak during normal business hours. It was $200 just to figure out what to do on the first visit. I don’t understand why I had to pay for tech to mainly talk to his boss about what to do on that occasion. No estimate was given before work commenced and I only got a partial breakdown of services rendered without having to complain (despite an assurance a review was done as to the bill for services rendered). As it was, $600 would have at least been in the ballpark. Tech also gave me an OT rate that didn’t match what their customer service later shared (but was practically the same as the normal business hours rate I was charged). Will not use again.

This business is connected to NxtGen Plumbing. Although I called NxtGen for service, they sent me confirmation texts as 'Southside Plumbing' as well as answering the phone by saying 'Southside Plumbing so I want to make sure the MAJOR problems they create are transparent...
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Please be cautious when using this company as they will take (A LOT OF) your money without fixing any of your problems.
The first problem arose when I initially called to schedule a technician to come to my home. The secretary was kind but she told me she didn't have the schedule in front of her and that she would give me a call back the next morning. I NEVER received the phone call so I called back myself, I was scheduled for the next day between 12-4. I received a phone call from the technician the day he was supposed to come around 3pm. He told me that he would have to charge me over time if he arrived at 4 as this would be after working hours. I told him I would just elect for the next morning to avoid additional costs, and what's one more day without hot water.
Well, the technician was unprofessional as he not only showed up an hour late, but he charged me for that hour in which he was looking for a part that he couldn't find. When he finally arrived at my house, he sat in his work vehicle on a personal call (he told me it was a personal call) for at least 10 minutes (time I was paying for). He then proceeded to replace a thermal coupling (something I could have easily picked up down the street) and left. LOW AND BEHOLD, still no hot water.
I am an understanding person but this is where it sent me over the edge, I called back to obviously have someone come back to FIX THE PROBLEM THAT I PAID FOR. The secretary told me that she would call me back tomorrow for 4 straight days. Four days, they purposefully put me off for what? Finally, when I begged to be put on the schedule 3 days out, they told me that they can't get me in until the following Monday. That would mean they didn't come back to fix the problem 10 days AFTER I paid them to fix it the first time....
This place will ROB YOU AND NOT FIX YOUR PROBLEMS AND THEN PUT YOU OFF SO THAT THEY DON'T HAVE TO COME BACK.

An employee driving in a company vehicle has yelled profanities at myself and my friends while riding our bikes on Capehart Wednesday evenings for the past two weeks. Cyclist have legal rights and are allowed to ride on roads, both gravel and paved. I don’t understand why this individual feels the need to yell at us. We are not interfering with their commute nor troubling them in any other way.
