I had a pretty serious situation, had to turn water off to my entire commercial building because of a broken pipe, so this not only affected me but 5 other tenants in the building. I called at 7:15am and someone answered the phone! Not only did they answer the phone, they said they could get to me same day, most likely in the afternoon, I stressed how it was affecting everyone in the builind and WELL SOMEONE WAS AT MY BUSINESS AT 8:15AM!! Super Fast, Great Service, and Fixed the Problem. HIGHLY RECOMMEND BACKLUND PLUMBING!

I called them out to fix a tub that would not drain. The first person who came OUT was NOT a plumber and could not unplug the drain. He identified the problem as a specific pipe and stated that they would need to send out an actual plumber. The plumber came out and replaced the pipe that the first guy stated was the problem. Unfortunately, the pipe that they replaced was NOT connected to the tub at issue but was a drain line for a different tub. The next day they sent out another non-plumber to use a more aggressive method to clear the blockage. This caused the pipe to burst requiring a visit from yet a forth person to replace the pipe (after cutting a 2/4 hole in my wall). Backlund billed me for all four visits (the only discount was they did not charge me overtime for the second visit that was after hours). In short, the misdiagnosed the problem, fixed the wrong thing, broke a pipe and charged me to replace it. They keep sending bills and every time I receive one a call to discuss the issue but they will not call back. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
The plumbers were very friendly and polite and the customer service provided by the office staff was top notch!
Plumber was very nice, worked quickly and did an excellent job. Really enjoyed talking with him as well. Prompt, excellent service. Will be saving this one for next time.
We had a leaking shower drain that we needed fixed. Guy came over, cut a hole in the ceiling where it was leaking and said it was going to be a big job requiring 2 people to fix it. Said they would call us and schedule the fix it appointment. They never called. Our usual plumber was back in town and fixed it by himself in an hour....
Had Backlund out today to look at a pesky valve leak. They were able to correct the issue and put together a plan for replacement in the future. I was not home, so they worked directly with my wife. She was very impressed with the professionalism of the technician at our property. Very great company to do business with!

I have been extremely pleased with Backlund' employees and their service starting with Leslie who takes the calls for service in a warm and friendly manner, George, Sheldon and Dustin who took care of everything that I wanted taken care of and were professional and so very nice, special kudos to George who gave me estimates on the other things I wanted done and gave me great recommendations and last but not least, Mike from Zoom who cleaned out a stubborn kitchen drain. All of these guys were polite and courteous and did a great job. They were fast and efficient and did all the clean up. I have already recommended them to people I work with and will continue to do so. Backlund is my choice for plumbing issues.
The technician - Vance, from Zoom Drain a partner with Backlund plumbing did an amazing job! He not only unclogged the stubborn drain which was backed up from the street, he removed a rug that had been ruined by the flooding water, he even helped start the cleanup with his waterhose! I was overwhelmed by the whole thing but by the time Vance left things were well in hand with just minor clean up remaining. The best customer service I’ve experienced!

Only company I could get to call me back on a Friday evening, then sent a service representative out on saturday. Their service tech Alex was fast, friendly, knowledgeable and got the problem taken care of in less than an hour. Price was more than fair for a weekend emergency call, half of what I was expecting. Five star service!
They're drive nearly caused a use accident and I reported it. They did nothing about it.
Sheldon was a lifesaver. I originally had a different plumber come and look and was given a quote of 13k to get everything back to how it should be, I was a little weary paying this as it felt like they were just trying to get as much money as they could and change everything out so I opted for another quote from Backlund before I decided and thank god I did. Sheldon came out and looked over everything and was just as surprised as me when I let him know what the other plumber was wanting to fix. Sheldon was in and out within an hour with the issue fixed for a couple hundred. Quite the change from 13k. Couldn't recommend Backland more and Im thankful I have found a reliable plumber as I am new to Omaha.
As part of a 210 Warranty issue, had a Backlund Representative come to my residence to look at issue. The gentlemen from get go had an attitude about being there and asked without a greeting what was my issue and what was on my list. I proceeded to ask him if he had a service ticket with list from 210 and he went back to truck and returned and said he didn't have it. The main issue was my main shutoff water valve feeding the house, for which he said was not covered as part of the warranty; which I was later told by 210 that is was; so didn't know where he got that information. Anyway, he did nothing for the 4 issues I had, was rude and argumentative from get go. I would never treat a customer that way and could not get him out of my house fast enough. I proceeded to cal; a competent plumber who I gladly paid to resolve the issue. Had I waited on Backlund and 210, my basement would be flooded from the issues I filed a claim for.

Best experience with Backlund pluming they’re customer service representative was very polite, patient and very helpful. They went out of they’re way to ensure my issues was resolved. Would recommend them to anyone that needs a honest and reliable pluming company.
Dwight came out and took care of the plumbing issue. He was friendly and service was fast. I can’t believe the stuff he pulled out of the pipes and he did it with a smile. Cleaned up after himself and guaranteed everything will be running better for sure.

Backlund Plumbing was contracted by MUD to do a camera scope of my plumbing to make sure they hadn't done any damage.. The dispatcher that scheduled the appointment was beyond polite!! Their technician Mike was incredible!! He was very polite, explained what he was doing, he explained that the lines to the street were full of tree roots (landlords' problem) and cleaned up after himself.. If I ever were to need a plumber, I would definitely recommend Backlund and Mike!!

Justin was so kind and professional. He was careful to protect our property from further damage and explained everything as he went along.
We had major issues for 3 days with our plumbing. We actually were going to hire another company until Chris, the owner, came out personally and stayed until the job was done and done right. A lot of respect for him taking it personally and standing by the name and work of his business.. They certainly kept ours by doing that.

I was extremely happy with my service from Backlund Plumbing. They did a complete check and discovered that my pipes were frozen under our slab. We attempted to send electrical currents but the distance was too far to do it safely. They had a supervisor come for review and did everything in their power to fix. Now that being said, it was our error for not keeping the sink dripping during this freeze. We came to that conclusion as a pro would never suggest that customer was in error but did agree when I brought that up. Even though the temp in the building was ok.....we do not know how deep our pipes are buried and will take more precautions in the future. I mention this to save others from what happened to us by our error. The team wore masks, were extremely nice and professional.

Responsive and reasonable prices. The plumber arrived on time, fixed my issue effectively, and there was no attempt to upsell the job.
Woke up to NO hot water on my first day back to work!! Called Backlund Plumbing told them what I thought the problem was (gas control valve) for which they quoted me $195 for the part outrageous since it cost $35 new! Did a little more research - changed my diagnosis to thermocouple, but could not find a price for it on line. Tech (Dan) confirmed my suspicions and replaced the thermo-couple, charged me $20 for the part, their standard fee of $95/hour. TOTALLY EXCELLENT work.
Oops! Found out later that the thermocouple cost $7.00!! Still a lot better than paying $195 for a part that I didn't need, but darn the mark up bandits!! Why does it have to be 3X or more than the actual cost?? BTW, they do HONOR the MILITARY.

I'm very satisfied with the work that Justan did in my home. He was knowledgeable and thorough in completing the job. I would recommend to Backlund Plumbing that they change their method of billing customers. I put my signature on an iPad and received no itemized list of the charges and received no receipt.

I would advise against hiring this company. They distrust their customers and have offensive billing methods.
I had consultation services performed by Backlund on September 9th. The invoice I received was dated September 12th, and it was sent to me by certified mail on September 13th. There were never any harsh words or conflicts with them regarding their services so I'm confused as to why they would have spent an unnecessary amount of money to send me the invoice. Sending the invoice by certified mail cost them over $3. Why would they not use standard mail services. (Stamps are only $0.46) This is not very cost effective. Apparently, they don't trust their customers to acknowledge an invoice. Had I ingnored the invoice, I could see them resending it certified, but from the time the service was performed to the date the invoice was mailed was ONLY 5 days.
Alex G came out today on a Sunday as we had a faucet that wouldn't shut off and so we had to shut the water off for the whole house until repairs could be done. Alex came out much quicker then expected, he was very fast and helpful and provided wonderful emergency service. I would happily use him and Backlund Plumbing again.
We discovered water damage in our basement on Saturday afternoon and called Backlund Plumbing for help. They sent Alex within an hour and by the time he arrived we had found the source of the leak from our refrigerator. We suspected we needed an appliance repair rather than plumbing by that point. He agreed and after a call to his manager didn’t charge us because we’ve been customers in the past! I would definitely recommend Backlund Plumbing for 24 hour service and polite professionals.

Has racist employees. Employee doesn’t like working in the same job site with Hispanic music on. Working from there went to turn off other crews speaker extremely unprofessional
I noticed the shower has been draining very slowly. Hoping the issue wouldn't become a major problem I called Backlund Plumbing and had them out the next day. The service tech (Mike) came out and was able to snake it out. He also did it in a timely manner but he spent time really cleaning the area up and making sure he left it as clean if not better then it was before he arrived. He was polite, courteous, professional, and would recommend them again!

Hi! We’ve used this service twice during the pandemic. Each time, the provider has shown up with their own mask already on. It makes me feel safer knowing that they are taking precautions. They are also professional, honest, and straightforward. We’ve called them three times and each time they’ve been able to quickly identify the problem. Twice when we couldn’t tell if we had a leak or hvac problem, and once to deal with a leak in our bathtub. Great company with professional workers.

Someone from Backlund Plumbing was scheduled to come out to do work on our house today before we had a new roof put on our house. No one showed up. Our roofer called several times and no one responded. Pretty poor customer service. I won't use them in the future. They came recommended too!

Highly recommended! We just bought a house a week ago and immediately had plumbing issues causing water in our basement. We first called the company that held our home warranty on Monday to be told they couldn’t make it out until Thursday. Come Thursday, they cancelled until Friday. We decided to try calling Backland and they came out same day! Dwight and his crew came out late on a Friday night and fixed the issue as well as provided us recommendations regarding our plumbing. These guys treated us like family and we will definitely use them in the future if needed!

I really really wish I could give a better review because our actual plumber was fantastic-- kind, communicative, and skilled. He was helpful and definitely went above and beyond. My bad experience was all due to poor communication on the part of Backlund's customer service manager. So many things were miscommunicated or not communicated at all that it was tough to get the job done at all.
Edit: Cody, the foreman, went above and beyond to come out on a Friday afternoon and inspect a leak at our new property in an effort to make things right. I definitely believe that professional, quality individuals work here and stand by their workmanship and provide quality service.
They were scheduled to come out on two occasions and both times nobody showed up.
First time I called two days in advance to schedule appointment and was put in the 12-2 window. Was called at 2 saying they were running late. By 7 pm nobody showed up and I called and they said someone was still coming out that night. By 11 pm nobody showed up. Didn't get called until the following afternoon to explain what happened and that was only after writing a bad review. Chris (owner) called and profusely apologized that one of his technicians essentially blew it off. They were super busy so I can understand, no problem. Chris offered to come out himself but it couldn't be right now, because they were too busy. No problem. I asked if he could come almost two weeks later because I was going out of town. He said I will come look at it myself and it will be the cheapest plumbing job you will ever have. I have it add on my calendar. So the day before they were suppose to come back I called just to make sure everything was a go (given the first experience I didn't have much confidence). I talked to the woman who answered the phone and she knew nothing about it so she transferred me to Chris. No answer, so I left a message for him. I was never called back. So the next day I called again just to make sure somebody was going to come like I was originally told and again nobody knew anything about it. The woman this time said Chris was in a meeting and said she send him a text message. Once again nobody called me back and nobody showed up to fix my plumbing. It's been nearly a week later and I still haven't even had the two calls returned.
I have never wrote an online review for any other service. But this has been such a poor experience I felt it was warranted.

Hot water line valve came apart on a Saturday morning. Like other commentators, I tried a 24/7 place first and got a Monday appointment (?). Backlund returned the call promptly, came out when they said they would, did a fantastic job and cleaned up, and charged a very reasonable amount. Have already shared them with friends and family that needed help.
The ONLY bad thing I would say is that the emergency service info is not easy to find online. You need to leave a phone message and listen to all of your choices.

Prompt service on a Sunday morning. Sheldon is truly an exceptional member of your team. UPDATE: About 10 months later, we needed a plumber again. A more complicated issue this time. Called Backlund. Over the course of several days I was assisted by Greg, Leslie and Brenda in the office. Excellent service from all - without exception. The same plumber as before was dispatched. Sheldon was again exceptional. I would recommend Backlund AND Sheldon to anyone, anytime.
First time using a plumber since I moved to Omaha, got me in within a week for a basic faucet replacement for a mother's day gift. Plumber called 15 minutes before he was going to arrive so I could make it to her home, took less than an hour for him to remove the old one (with a saw), install the new one, and check to see if the old faucet was the cause of the under sink leak.
Everything works and looks great! For a call out I thought it would be much more expensive and the plumber was very knowledgeable and pointed out a few things under sink to look out for in the future. I would gladly recommend Backlund to anyone who asks.

5 Stars! I called in the wee hours Saturday morning and was immediately set up with an early morning appointment. Sheldon arrived and went straight to work fixing my toilet problem. He was so genuinely nice as well as efficient, knowledgeable and has a great work ethic. I was extremely satisfied with the entire experience. Highly recommend for any plumbing issue big or small. I will be using Backlund Plumbing for all my future plumbing needs!
Back in the spring I had my main drain backup into my house called several plumbers, but Backlund was who answered, showed up, and snaked my drain. After the water started going down, they brought in there scope truck and scoped my main drain that just backed up and told me the reason why it backed up was cuz of my tree in the front yard. This is where it made me mad because the previous owners stated that they have replaced the main drain pipe. It was only because of Backlund that I learned that only four feet of my main drain was replaced in PVC and not the whole thing. But Backlund went above and beyond and help me out and ran their root cutter down my drain after they had already cleared it of the clock because they said that it would just come back within a month. So far it's been 8 months and not one single issue if I have any other plumbing problems First Call will be Backlund awesome service awesome people!!!

I had an appointment scheduled through my home warranty provider through Backlund as well. The plumbers name was George and he was beyond knowledgeable and professional. He worked patiently with my warranty company when the job needed a little more work than originally intended.
Leak was fixed promptly and couldn't be happier with the service.
I highly recommend Backlund.

They were available on a weekend and did a great job and did it fast! It was hard getting any other of these so called 24 hr services to call me back. Backlund called me back in 5 minutes and had it fixed in no time. I will now use them for all my plumbing needs!

I called was able to have someone come out the same day, and then he was able to come earlier than expected I was called and asked if this would be alright with me.The man that came to attempt to unclog my drain, was cordial, attempted several different ways to unclog the kitchen drain and he deserves 5 stars for his efforts. Unfortunately during these attempts the main pipe broke. I asked if he knew how much replacing the pipe might cost. He gave me a rough estimate of what he thought it might cost. He texted the supervisor to ask him to come and give estimate. This is where Backlund loses 2 stars- Unfortunately, the supervisor was very busy and from what I understood would call me later that day. I received no call that day, the next day I waited until noon for this call. I didn't receive a call so I called the office and explained that, during the plumbing work the pipe was broken and could I have some one come give an estimate on cost to replace this pipe, the lady on the phone took the information and said, would give this to Cory ( i believe) I didn't receive a call back so the next day I called again. this time in the morning...Again I was told that she would remind Cory of my request for estimate. All day Wednesday I waited for this call. At that time it seemed to me that Backlund didn't want my business. I called another plumbing company Wednesday afternoon, appointment set for the next day in the morning, estimate sent to me that same day, set up for work to start on Monday. My main pipe has been removed and a new one in its place. And a week later I have still not received a call from Backlund. The other plumbing company will now be my company of choice.

Cheryl the reception lady or the one who always answered was rude and seems to not care whether anything gets done ot not, they say a part will be in and the day comes, so you miss work to be home, and surprise it isn't in, then the next day comes and guess what! Parts still not in. When you ask when it will be in they says they don't know!!!!! Wow
So over this company they are not customer service sact and they don't seem to care about the fact that you've been waiting and waiting for them to fix the problem. I would NEVER EVER recommend them to ANYONE!

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. We showed the technician a list of problems we needed fixed and he refused to look at it, thinking he knew better. He refused, twice, to do work that is covered by our home warranty company even though that was all we asked for. Additionally, the technician repeatedly displayed misogynistic attitudes toward both my wife and sister in law, refusing to share quotes with them but readily sharing the same quote with a Male friend. In the first instance we dealt with this company, the technician refused to do work on a water heater that was covered by our warranty. We ended up calling Home Depot who did the work we asked for, which we had to pay out of pocket and was $2,400 cheaper than the price quoted by the arrogant technician. They lost a $2,200 deal because of the techician's arrogance and refusal to DO WHAT WE ASKED. The second time we dealt with this company, the same technician REFUSED TO LOOK AT THE LIST OF REPAIRS WE ASKED FOR and then told us that, whatever HE had decided to fix was not covered by our warranty. This is absolutely a terrible company with awful customer service, rude and sexist technicians, and their bad attitudes and attempts to rip off their customers is giving a bad name to even the home warranty company we use. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Nothing but great things have been said about the quality of work that is done. Most recently I met Chris and Kyle on the Job site of a great friends new shop. These two have done magnificent work on the new Twins Auto building in Omaha. They are very professional and they have done a fantastic job with this commercial building. I will always recommend them to anyone!

Great customer service! We've had Backlund out for over 13 hours, so needless to say we've gotten to know a lot of the Backlund team. They all have a great sense of humor and are wonderful to work with. I can now say that our our newly purchased house is free of plumbing problems!
Didn't have things go my way, and got hit with a worse bill than I'd hoped. But, after I worked with the drain guy from Zoom and he'd cleared the floor drain, I asked him to wait while I tried the washing machine. The drain backed up again. So he got back to work, no questions. After he tried many times and got the water flowing clear, he asked permission to send in a camera, which I agreed to. There was a dead animal in there! He broke to down, but my old rusty main didn't give the room he needed, so he asked to jet the drain, which I agreed to. After a long day, and switching me to a full day's rate (not cheap), and showing me video all the time, they cleared the animal, inches of rust, and left me a main clearer than when I moved in-and showed me. While it's not what I expected, it's what I needed, all because they did the right thing.

The plumbing was repaired in a way that the water had to flow uphill to the main. It was corrected the next day. I was also charged for 2 hours labor for them to leave and get material for the job.

Edit: Backlund never did resolve this after a few calls and I'm still looking for a licensed plumber to pass their inspection.
Backlund was hired to replace a water heater and work on a sewer line for our house due to an MUD water main break which caused severe damage. For all work that Backlund did, they did not get a plumbing permit before starting the work. Backlund told us that a plumbing permit is not required when working on a sewer line if it's inside the house, which the City informed us is not true. They got a plumbing permit after doing the work in both cases, and the initial plumbing inspection failed due to work not being to code. Further, Backlund did not even tell us the plumbing failed inspections until I looked it up online weeks later. The plumbers themselves seemed professional and it was an extremely disappointing experience. We are now in a position that we have to hire a different plumber to resolve remaining issues so it will pass an inspection.
Where others failed, Backlund succeeded.

Had one good experience, but when we had an emergency at 10pm (and they say open 24 hours) not only did nobody answer, nobody responded at night, and 12 hours later nobody responded. Very disappointed...! NOT FOR EMERGENCIES!!!

Worst follow up on job/bid I’ve ever experienced. I called them once when they didn’t follow up on finishing the job and providing a long term solution. They came back out and this time offered a solution and said they would follow up with a bid. Surprise-no bid, no call! I’m not going to beg them to do the work! Plenty of other reliable plumbers out there who actually want to work. Will never use them again and will not recommend to anyone!
I was lucky to get next-day service for a leaky pipe. Sheldon worked quickly, efficiently, and was very helpful in explaining everything he was doing (and why it happened). After fixing the basement pipe and replacing a toilet's valve, he asked if there was anything else. I had forgot to mention when making the appt a sink issue, and he immediately addressed it as well. Quality work, more-than reasonable price, and great customer service from a skilled and friendly professional--I couldn't be happier.

I have a problem with my main sewer line so I called in and was transferred to the owner Chris and had a good conversation on the steps to take a look at the line as well as a rough estimate. I scheduled someone to come out and take a look at my line with a camera. The appointment was between 3-5 and around 4:50 I called since no one had showed up, they told me that someone would contact me soon. Waiting a few more hours and no one called. I called them back in the morning and they claimed to have called me which was definitely not true. I confirmed my phone number with them and setup a 2nd appointment from 3-5 a week later. The exact same problem occurred again, I called them at 4:58 and they put my on hold for 6 minutes and then told me a technician would call me. They closed at 5PM so I had no way of contacting anyone after this point. No one called me the rest of the night or in the last few days to follow up on the missed appointment. I would not recommend a company that does not show up to appointments or makes no effort at all to contact it's customers.
I’m not happy with this company, because one of there Plumber came out to my house and told me he could put in a salon Shampoo bowl for my Salon in my house and the Plumber Guy stated that he would have estimate for me on Last Friday. I have called and this company keep saying he have not finished the estimate and when they do, it will be sent to my email. I have not received no email yet and I know it do not take this long to right a estimate and I’m not happy with this company at all and they was highly recommended by another Company.

We had a pretty poor experience while trying to hire Backlund to extend a sewer vent out through the roof. The plumber they sent spent half of the visit chatting instead of doing his job, then charged us for a full hour ($90).
The guy said a roofing company needed to be present while the plumbing stack was replaced, but trying to schedule Backlund at a specific time so we could make this happen was a nightmare that ended in us taking our business elsewhere. We chalked the $90 fee as a lesson learned.
I replaced the sewer vent on my own and had a handy-man came out later and replace the flashing around the pipe for $100. I'm still not sure why the Backlund plumber thought it all needed to happen at once. We won't be using Backlund again.

First of all t he customer service is terrible. Every time I called them they were rude and unprofessional. They came out 2 times and were not able to figure out or fix the problem. Just overall terrible experience and not very knowledgeable. Call someone else who will provide you with a customer service you deserve!

My wife and I had a whole laundry list of plumbing projects: move 2 outdoor faucets, add a 3rd outdoor faucet, replace all valves and fittings from the outside of the house leading in, replace downstairs toilet, replace downstairs sink and caulk kitchen sink. They sent Alex....and man did he do a great job! He was very courteous and knowledgeable and had a lot of helpful suggestions, always with the customer in mind. If you have plumbing issues...call BACKLUND!!!! (Ask for Alex)

I want to share how Backlund rose to the top and in no small manner, My daughter and son-in laws home had a backed up sewer line going out to the street. We had 3 different plumbing companies (which will remain nameless) to look at and estimate the cost of repair. Company 1 charged $200 to camera the pipe and quoted a $28,000.00 repair, Company 2 charged nothing, but claimed their price would be close to the $28,000 mark, Company 3 charged $350.00, to camera and quoted $14,000 for the repair. I then contacted Cody Culver from Backlund Plumbing, he was prompt to send his techs out to look at the issue, was confident it was probably not that bad, the next day they showed up, assessed and cleaned the pipe fixing the issue for a sum of $813.00. The kids are young and trying to make there way, they were scared to death over these numbers, understandably. I cannot thank Cody and his team at Backlund enough for what they did for these kids and the professionalism of him and his team, Backlund is our go to plumbing contractor from here out, they have definitely earned it.

They repaired a shower controller in one room and a bathtub controller in another. The bathtub was more complicated and they had to return on a Saturday. Justin figured out the problem and fixed it! polite and thorough and saved me hundreds of dollars by not having to replace the fixtures

I have nothing but good things to say about this company. First of all it was New Years Eve and guests were showing up for dinner when we realized that we have a problem. I immediately called our HVAC Contractor who we have a service contract with. This company who happened to do some work on the pipe weeks prior that was spraying all over my utility room. After calling their emergency after hours answering service and waiting 40 minutes for a call back, the gentleman at the other end used every excuse to not send someone out because of the holiday. He simply said since the water leak is slowing , it will eventually stop after shutting off the hot water heater. My only option is to call the office on Tuesday to set up a service call. No hot water for three days?

Becklund Pluming came to the rescue! They were courteous and set up my appointment for 8am the next morning. The technician was was on time, knowledgeable, and got our repair done in a timely manner. He was apologetic for holiday rates, but got the job done quickly and afterwards showed me his quality work. We were very thankful for Backlund Plumbing as they restored our issue and we had hot water within 20 hours after discovering the water issue.

Backlund plumbing was able to come out day of. They were in and out in 45 minutes and my clog was 47 feet out on the sewer line to the city's. Very impressed with the service.
Justin did a great job. Came out on time, completely understood the repairs needed and had a plan to do the repair, did a great job. We always use Backlund for our plumbing work.
I had to call a plumber late on Friday due to a main line leak and they were able to schedule someone for Saturday morning. The plumber arrived when scheduled, took a look, grabbed some tools and had the leak fixed in less than an hour. A month later, it is still dry and leak free.

Backlund is going down hill. I've been a customer for years, and made many recommendations to family and friends to use Backlund.
No more! No show for appointment between 10 and Noon. Said they called, but they did not. Find out after calling them, they were not even going to come today. Once they changed their drain cleaning business, and went to a new computer system, things really have gotten very disappointing.
Scheduled as the first appointment of the day to ensure an on time arrival of the plumber. He showed up 40 minutes late. When I called Backlund to inquire, they told me they could track him. He was at the gas station filling his truck with gas. He then could not find my house. He told me I was lucky he showed up. Cheryl and Lesley at the office were full of excuses. 8 am is 8 am; it does not mean you leave your house to start your work day at 8 am, stop for gas, coffee and donuts. Very unprofessional from the plumber to the office employees. Still waiting for the owner to acknowledge my call. Never once heard I'm sorry, we made a mistake, only excuses.

They sent over a technician who literally went above and beyond -- he scaled the roof to figure out whether our backup was caused by a venting issue! He was very knowledgeable, thorough and fixed the problem without a hitch. Call Backlund next time you need a plumber!

My curb box on the sideway was broken and water leaked. So I contacted Backlund Plumbing. Chris Roseland, who is the boss of this company, quoted a price for me and I agreed with it. He then said he would fix this issue on 07/30/2020 which was a Thursday. I waited for him for a whole day but he did not show up. On Friday, he still did not show up.
I called his office on the next Monday and waited for his response to the message I left. He did not respond. Then I called the front desk of his company. The front desk sent an email to him and asked him to respond my request. On the next a few days, I did not hear from him. Then I asked the front desk to send my message to his cell. He contacted me through email on Friday 08/07/2020. He told me that he would reach me out on that coming Monday and do the work in that week. Again he did not contact me on Monday. I then kept asking when he would be available for the work. He ignored my message for ever.
Chris, if you cannot meet your words, you can at least call and let me know you have emergence that you could not work for me. But you did not do it. Also you cannot assume it is fine for me to wait for an opening on your side as the water leaked every second in my neighborhood. Because you failed to do things you promised for multiple times, I was so disappointed about you. I then went to another plumbing company. They did a much better work.
Overall I am very upset about Chris's action. Please avoid his company.

Plumbers are like dentists or doctors, you never want to have to call them. However, Thomas was awesome! He explained everything he was doing, how much it would cost and had a great attitude. The experience was quick, painless and a lot less expensive than I was bracing myself for. Thanks guys, you rock.
I manage a restaurant and I had my back room floor drains backing up at 7:30 PM on a Saturday night when the place was packed. I called another plumber who said it would be $148.50 an hour, a 2 hour minimum plus a $22.50 trip charge. I said absolutely not and called Backlund Plumbing. I asked what it would cost, they said $135.00 an hour. I said any minimum or trip charge, they said no. They came right over and had it done in less than an hour for about $100.00
Have a 2•10 warranty, the plumber called to tell me that the warranty didn't cover my issue. He suggested that he needed payment up front. I explained to him that, he was suppose to come between 12-2...he showed up @ 10:30 without even calling ahead of time. He didn't acknowledge that, kept talking over me telling me the spigot was broken and needed to be replaced. He started saying ma'am you gotta take that hose off in the Fall, I explained to him I didn't realize the hose was hooked up. He said IT SAYS IT RIGHT THERE ON THE DOOR MA'AM ...I need payment up front! I let him know he was very rude and spoke with someone at the office about him. If you don't like your job, don't work it. As a paying customer, I can take my money anywhere without the attitude!
We trusted backlund to ensure the lift station in our house was functioning properly and in good condition before agreeing to purchase our house. $1200 later someone named Jake said it was good to go. So we agreed with the purchase of the house. A month later it stopped working and our laundry room flooded. When we called backlund they said Jake no longer works there and sent someone else out. They took one look at the lift station and said it was at the end of its life and needed to be replaced. BACKLUND FAILED TO DISCLOSE THIS INFORMATION BEFORE WE PURCHASED OUR HOUSE. They did a patch up job so it seemed to function for the sale. Given we can not afford a new 5k lift station we asked if they would patch it up again. They got some new parts re used some old parts of another lift station and billed us $1200. So now we are $2400 in to what should have just been 5k in the first place. They should have replaced it initially because now when everything is said and done we will have nearly $7500 invested in this lift station instead of what should have just been 5k to begin with. The parts they purchased will just be replaced because everything would come with the new lift station. On top of that we were billed 6 hours for an electrician who missed a rusted out pipe that connects the lift station from inside to outside. If you spend 6 hours trying to figure out why something does not work you think they would actually examine what they are trying to fix. Unbelievable. We are taking our issue to the better business bureau.
Alex G did a great job for us today. He was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Fixed the leak in our shut off valve for our ice maker. Fee was very reasonable also. And on top of all that, we got same-day service.
Had a problem at first, the owner took time out of his day to make sure that we got our problem handled. Everyone is going to make mistakes it how you handle them that makes you great! Nice job Chris!
