I needed same day service and got it. What needed to be done was explained and I received texts for expected arrival. They came back the next day and I'm completely satisfied.

I did not use American Rooter. The bid seemed high, I checked with 2 other reputable companies & they both came in $2,000 less.

Everything was very professional. The prices seem a little expensive (but then with plumbing emergencies you don't get to shop around much). I have confidence they will live up to their philosophy that they never want to return to your house for the same problem.

I wish the pricing would be a little more straightforward. Be prepared to make a quick decision if you want to purchase a service agreement. They price everything in such a way that you basically end up spending more than you wanted out of principle because it ends up being a better deal overall. But in my opinion, they should just have straight pricing.

I'm glad I chose American Rooter Plumbing! Mike and Josh were EXCELLENT! They were thorough, educational and honest. Will definitely use in the future.

Friendly and Fast!

This company does it right! After confirming that the plumber was in route to my house, they emailed me a picture before he showed up. It is a very nice safety feature. He was very polite and respectful. I highly recommend this company.

They were quick to get us in after the hard freeze caused our pipes to back up. After encountering an unexpected problem that resulted in damage to inside pipes and personal belongs they went above and beyond to repair and make things right. All technicians were professional and we will definitely use them again for all our future plumbing projects.

We had our sewer main back up and found out it needed to be replaced. American Rooter came by promptly and inspected the sewer and were able to provide us a quote for replacement. A few weeks later they had the old sewer out and a new one in its place complete with cleanouts. I'd recommend American Rooter as they were clean and professional, provided their own booties which made the post-install cleanup a breeze in house.

Frank and Joe were excellent! They explained everything so I could understand.

Very professional, Garret, Dylon and Bradd did a great job, they were clean, respectful and worked very hard to get the job done. The quote was very reasonable and fair, and they held to it even though the job was more complex than expected. My plumbing problem was a severe issue caused by ABS pibes cracking due to house settling, there is NO OTHER plumber that can do the job is minimally invasive as they did. I would happily have them do any other plumbing jobs.

I have used American Rooter Inc. several times and have always been thrilled with the work they have done for me. They do an incredible job and are fast, clean and very knowledgeable. If you are looking for a great Plumber I highly recommend them. I won't use any other plumber in Omaha. Thank you Brad for always doing such a great job!

They were very punctual, which is always a huge plus for me. I also appreciate that they call before showing up. The walk through revealed a second problem that we were not aware of but also was not pressing. The prices are high, but you are definitely paying for the great service as well as parts and labor. They have a financing plan, but I think that it may be hard to qualify for. You probably have to have super great credit and a job (we thought combining my credit with my husband's income would work but it did not). Overall, I was pleased with the service and would definitely recommend them.

They wanted almost $500 to fix a toilet which I was able to do for about $10 and took about 30min and I am not a handyman at all. They wanted another $500 to install a 1/2hp food disposal. Costco sells a 1 and 1/4hp disposal for $70. I had to pay $50 just to have them give me outrageous quotes.

Dan and Brad were amazing. I live with and take care of my elderly grandfather and woke up to a very leaky water heater. After a minor meltdown, I gave American Rooter a call. They seriously went above and beyond and I am forever grateful. I will definitely be using their services again in the future.

American rooter did a trenchless sewer line replacement for me. Saved thousands by not needing to replace my driveway at the same time. Plus there’s only a few hours in the process that your plumbing is down.

Do not use this company!

The company explained that the repair was harder than it was. The workers completed the work in 20 minutes and did not do the work they said they would. They essentially put putty on two pipes and charged me over $1,300.

I called other companies and they said that job should have cost more than $300 at the top end. I would not recommend this company at all. Please be advised.

Dan and Rico from American Rooter were awesome to work with. They were personable and professional from start to finish. I found Dan very trustworthy and appreciated the way he kept us informed of their progress every step of the way. We needed an experienced plumber who could troubleshoot and help us resolve a persistent problem. For that reason, I would recommend Dan and American Rooter to anyone.

Bradd David and the rest of the crew were all very nice and professional. I'm only the renter so I can't say much about the appropriateness of the work but they always cleaned up behind themselves. They explained what they were doing and kept the water on every night! When the original concern was not fixed Alex came after hours on a Fri. and got it done. Thanks guys!

Just called to get a quote... person said that they won't be the cheapest, so I should call someone else. After they wasted time getting all my contact information and confirming a date. Wow!

Jim is a 5 star master plumber! Professional, knowledgeable, trustworthy and courteous, he sets the gold standard by providing advice and options for repair and maintenance. Would highly suggest using American Rooter for any and all plumbing needs.

Don't go to these guys. Yes, they're friendly, but honestly, who cares? I got two estimates from other licensed plumbers on a sillcock replacement for around $200. These guys wouldnt give me an estimate over the phone, insisted that they come out to look ($50 charge). The guy looks at it and tries to start upselling me on all sorts of other stuff, unrelated to the project. Ends up with a quote for like $650!! The sillcock alone, they wanted $375 to repair! Way overpriced. And now I'm out my time and $50 from these people. Will not call them again, will not recommend to anyone.

Ryan does great work and is super friendly. They are honest and give you a few options to choose from with a range of different prices as well as DIY tips. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for - quality and reliability in their work and products.

Bradd and Mike were awesome! Very knowledgeable, punctual, and respectful. I had a great experience, and I learned a few things about water heaters that I had not ever thought about. They didn't even come out for the water heater, but I'm glad their service automatically comes and checks it just as courtesy. I will definitely utilize this service again, and I will recommend them to all my friends.

He worked on it until the sewer was open and water was flowing. It took multiple times to get it that way and in the end it is running great. We got them on a special they were running and it ended up being half of what other companies were asking.

american rooter has to hire better problem solving technicians......i called them to check on a sewer water leakage that was coming in through my under slab air ducts... they put in a camera through my sewer lines but everything was nice & clear (first $300 gone for like 40 minutes & they did not want to continue looking for the issue) they told me they had to do a smoke test...... well smoke came out through the lavatory ( which was not the issue and another $300 gone) so they gave me an estimate for a cracked drain pipe under the cement in a certain area & gave me a $4000 estimate so i told them i will let them know.......so i went ahead and dug up the area where they told me the cracked pipe was... just to find out there was no problem there( i would have been out of $4000 maybe more & still the problem would have been there...........well my house is a two story duplex about a month passed and i my self found out the kitchen on the second floor was causing the issue the connection on the cement was rotten & was letting the water go thru the air ducts ( a 500 dollar fix which included the rerouting of the drain pipe) finally everything is fixed....i was lucky i didn't get ripped off for 4000 or maybe even more being a duplex the plumbers should have put the camera on the top floor & would have found the problem easily but i heard some get commission the they don't want to spend time on hard problems the least time they in your house the more money they make

Pat was very professional and informative. He did what he promsised to do, cleared a clog in my sewer line, and provided videos of the exisiting conditions. The ultimate result is not what I had hoped for, but he was honest about the repairs that I need.

Had mostly positive experience. Had an Issue during installation but they returned promptly the next Morning to address. I think they are a reputable company and will use and recommend them confidently!

Josh was scheduled for 10 AM to 1 PM, he was on site at 10:02 AM. He inspected drains and pipes, determined the cause of the issue, thoroughly explained causes and steps for corrected the problem. He had the clogged pipe cleared and tools picked up within an hour. He also took a look at other areas of the house and offered suggestions and pricing for standardizing and updating. He was knowledge able and respectful. Great service!

Extremely professional service and are up front and honest. Very thorough in diagnosing the problem and and took a wholistic view of our entire plumbing system. Never felt rushed. They explained in detail the cause of our problem, answered all questions and laid out all options to fix in a straightforward manner. Got the job done successfully with no mess left behind. I won't hesitate to call this small, local business in the future.

They replaced my sewer pipe in a couple days with minimum disruption to the yard and professionally presented themselves when my neighbor erratically berated them for placing dirt in the street to prevent people from accidentally driving into the hole by the city sewer line.

Joe and Frank were very professional and friendly! We had some pretty bad blockages about 90' out and more further and they were able to take care of them no problem. Everything was great pricing and I would definitely call them again if needed. Call them if you are having issues, you won't regret it!
*EDIT* Ryan and Bryant came out to fix a small leak I had and did a great job repairing it and gave me some options for some other things I could do in the future if I wanted. American Rooter continues to do a great job and I will continue using them!

We had a burst pipe on 1/2/18 and the guys (Bradd and David) from American Rooter had everything fixed 24 hours later! I had called six or seven other companies trying to get help but noone had availability. I am glad these fellas were the ones to do the job because they were knowledgeable, friendly, and polite. I've had minimal experience with plumbers as we just bought this house less than a week ago but I'm a customer for life. I highly recommend this company, they use state of the art technology and the employees are very, very smart. They walked me through the repair process and made sure I was comfortable with any charges before completing the work. Beyond the clear fake reviews, I saw one true review that had our exact experience. They wanted $400+ to look at our issue . Paid that reluctantly. Reviewed their bid to fix a leaking drain pipe and the bid came to $6,500!!

my experience with American router has been A+. I had been having water backup problems for many years. My daughter found American Rooter because they belong to the Better Business Bureau. They were here yesterday and had to put a new sewer line from my house to the street. Brad and his crew worked 12 hours straight and had my sewer line in and ready to use by 8 p.m. I was impressed by how hard they worked and they still had good manners and very professional.

Hands down the best plumbing experience I've had in Omaha! My situation was urgent and Sarah kept me in contact with their team and was quick to communicat updates Mike Inman and Garrett Conn were as professional as it gets! They were right on time, friendly, and knowledgeable. They weighed all my options and ultimately were able to install a new water heater the same day! Crisis was averted. I will be calling American Rooter Plumbing the next time I need a plumber! A+++ job!

Called for a quote. Was told someone would have to come out to see in person before they could give me a quote. Was not told there was a fee for them to come out, but guess that's on me for not asking. I scheduled a time. They called two separate times to change the appointment. The first one I agreed to, the second time I stated I'd prefer my original time and they said ok. Then the appointment reminder comes and it's for the time they were asking for on the 2nd reschedule attempt. So I contact them and say I need my original time because I have a meeting at 1:00pm. They said ok.

Long story short. He arrive 25min before my meeting, and I told him when he called before coming that I had a meeting at 1:00pm. We discussed the work needed and what he'd recommend. He then spent more time to upsell me on other services and talking about why the company is better than others and asking me if I want to sign up for their annual service plan... I just want the quote for this one job. 5min until my meeting and he says he'd start with just turning the water to the house off and on to make sure the valve works, and said that'd be like $240. I was shocked. He then called the owner to make sure the rest of his quote was right because he doesn't want to make me mad. I'm 10min late to my meeting, they come back with an ok quote, still more than I was expecting but probably reasonable. I told them I'm going to hold off for now, so he emailed me the quote. Then I had to pay $70 just for him to come out, which I wasn't expecting, but still paid. Between the scheduling issues and then ignoring my time constrains it felt inconsiderate, and the first quote was enough of a shock that I had decided at that point I'm not going to use this company.

In all honesty, the guy was nice, and I'm sure a fine plumber. But wasn't considerate of my time, and the quoted price and upselling just didn't meet my expectations.

I found American Rooter via an online service. I've had great luck going this route in the past and being that water was leaking from an upstairs shower to the kitchen directly below it, I figured I'd try that luck again.

I'm glad I did. The company responded quickly and even called to see if they could come early. This worked perfectly for me. The guy who did my repairs, Alex, was professional and kept me informed through the whole process. He was courteous as well (as a member of the house was asleep). Really a great experience.

If you are looking for the lowest cost, not here. Rates are high.
To be clear the people that did the work were super professional, friendly, good at what they were doing. So they deserve their pay. No complaint there for sure.
However, What I thought was going to be a simple under the sink repair turned into a 2 grand emergency fix. I about had a heart attack when I got home and my wife showed me the holes in the wall and the new parts we had to have due to code. Not cool. And we were left with little water pressure at end of the day. Luckily I was able to google what they installed to understand it enough to make an adjustment and get my water pressure back. Not cool either. I get it that City code ties the industries hands , but its still worthy to point out a complaint that its ridiculous -Portrayed as must have, not a choice. DO it or no water.

Joe contacted me prior to his arrival and said he would be on his way. He arrived before his scheduled time, which was nice. He was very friendly and professional. Explained the process to me before and after. Highly recommend.

I thought I knew what the problem and solution were for my leaky faucet. These guys showed me that what I thought I needed was really just a band aid on a much larger issue. Bradd quickly determined one problem we thought we had was actually ok. When others might have replaced something that wasn't broken he explained the issue and why no action was necessary. He then rebuilt a leaky exterior faucet at a reasonable price. It's great to find contractors who you can trust. We'll never use another plumber.

It was to replace broken service line between dwelling and city line. I highly, highly recommend this company. Their courtesy, contact with customer above reproach.
Notify you of what time and who your technican(s) are, what their arrival time is established to be and then arriving 100 per cent on time. I actually enjoyed interacting with them. They inform you of exactly what they are doing. I will use them again if situation dictates.

Pros and cons to my experience with American Rooter:
Pros:
1. The person I spoke with on the phone (Sarah, I believe) and the technician, Dan, were both very personable.
2. They send you a picture of the technician before he comes to your house so that you know who to expect.
3. Dan told me up front what the cost would be to run a camera through my line and to replace my toilet. So, I knew before he started the work just how much the job would cost. The fact that I had them proceed was on me.
Cons:
1. This company is WAY overpriced. I learned this after the fact. To run the camera through the line cost me $230 (plus $30 to “locate the sewer line”). I have learned from multiple companies since then that they charge $125 for this service.
2. To install a new toilet cost $780, including the toilet. I was told that their cost for the toilet itself is about $300. That still leaves $480 in labor to pull the old toilet, replace the seal and install the new toilet – about a one-hour job.
3. Dan had to return three times (3 different days) as there was water coming out from under the bowl. It took that many trips to determine that the new bowl that had been installed was cracked. (There appeared to be a condensation issue as well with this bowl. It was not an issue I had with my previous toilet.)
4. Dan gave me an estimate to replace my 50-gallon water heater. The estimate was $1900. I just had it replaced by another company. They installed a commercial-grade A.O. Smith 50-gallon water heater for $1150. I could have had a standard A.O. Smith water heater installed by Lowe’s for just shy of $1000.

The men were very informative and very helpful on what I can do to take care of my issues and many plans that would work I really appreciate the knowledge they had also would recommend to everyone

The guys were great! Super personable and nice. They were extremely knowledgeable, walked me through everything, and answered all my questions. This is the second time we’ve used the company and will continue to call them for all our plumbing needs!

The gentleman that came to our home on a Saturday (Marc Bigger) was really great. He was ablee to do the job in a timely manner and went above and beyond by working at getting the cartridge out that had come apart and saving us about $600.00 in repair costs. I will deffinately call American Rooter again when any plumbing needs arise.

Mike @American Rooter did a great job. He presented me with a couple options to fix my problems, but there was no pressure at all. Not only did they fix my known issues but discovered my main water line had a leak during their preventive maintenance check.These guys a joy to work with. I highly recommend them to anyone!

Brad and team did a great job on replacing my sewer line. It was a big job and it got done right and quickly. I highly recommend them!! Brad by far did the most thorough job of inspecting the situation to properly estimate the work and the final costs came in with no surprises. Totally impressed with this company! Dan Kelly the Service Tech came to our house in a snowstorm with a big smile on his face and a handshake introducing who he was. Dan put on his shoe coverings and away he went to work.

We/he scoped out the house plumbing and the floor drains then asked if we were on a septic system.

Within 10 minutes water was flowing into the septic and are problems were fixed!

Charged me over 750 dollars to inspect toilet and snake the toilet. I called them to snake both the shower and toilet. When the plumber inspected the toilet I was told the flange was broken and needed to be replaced for another 560 dollars and to snake to shower would be addional charge . So for over 750 dollars I was left with a broken flange and a shower that was not fixed . The only thing that was working was the toilet was able to flush. Very disappointed they charged so much to clear a toilet . When I called back they said it was expensive to remove a toilet to inspect but when I had another plumbing service over they removed and inspected the toilet for free . Would not recommend American rooter plumbing. I would definitely get some recommendations from friends and family before calling them!

Bradd and Sarah are great to work with, and their employees are not only professional, but also easy to get along with.

Plumbing issues are the worst; however, working with Mike, Garrett, Bryant, and the team at American Rooter was refreshing. Not only did they deliver as promised, but they were genuinely nice and professional; they like their jobs and each other. I hope we don't have any more plumbing issues, but if we do, we will be calling American Rooter.

We had our main soil stack crack a full 20 feet up from the basement to the second floor and were struggling to find anyone willing to come out and even look at the damage. American Rooter Plumbing had someone out within 2 hours of my call to take a look at our problem and had workers here the very next morning at 8am to get started. Everyone was so kind and made sure we knew exactly what the next steps were and why. Joe, David, and Pat were knowledgeable, helpful, and seemed to truly care that we were without plumbing and wanted to get it all fixed. The guys checked that everything they needed to do met code before putting things in, kept everything very clean, and stayed after completing the job to make sure that there were no leaks. We are so thankful we had such a good team working on our plumbing issue. We will definitely use them again should we need to!

after trying every other low budget diy solution that I could think of, I called a local plumber, and he referred us to American Rooter Plumbing since he didnt have any time in his schedule. We had a clogged kitchen drain and were only looking to get it unclogged.When he came out to check the pipe, he was very straightforward about his troubleshooting and began to look at alot of the potential causes of the clog as well as doing an evaluation of our plumbing system. After all of the checks and assessments(all of which made perfect sense and he was able to justify without speaking down to my wife or I) he gave us 3 quotes, one being simply unclogging the drain, with the other two being the initial job+ further preventitive fixes. I understand that most people are just looking for a quick/cheap fix so that they can get on with their day, but these guys will give you the complete rundown of everthing that could be wrong with your plumbing so that you can make the best decision going forward. the only reason that I didnt rate 5 stars is because the method and assessments feel a bit forced and pushy...however, we are now armed with a more complete picture of what work to look out for and plan in our house because of it...kudos

They charge a $50 estimate call fee, but if you go to Angie's list it will drop it to $11. Also, they have a terrific customer loyalty plan- $120 and you get 15% off everything and free estimates in the future. I will be calling American Rooter for all my plumbing needs.

These guy were so efficient and helpful! The plumber even sat down with me and went over a couple different options and pricing to help me figure out which fix would be best for me, while being mindful of my financial situation.

Worked with American Rooter to clean out my cast iron pipe via their picote services at the same time I also quoted a full sewer replacement and received the most competitive price from them for both services. They offered to bundle both services with a discount and performed both services in a timely manner. The sewer replacement was the biggest project and they were transparent about their process, materials, and services throughout the whole operation. Ultimately very pleased with their quality and customer service and I now have the peace of mind that I will not have to deal with any more plumbing issues for the duration of my time as the owner of this home!

They made a special effort to get to me the same day, explained to me the problem and the options I had, kept everything clean or cleaner than what they found it, and stayed until the job was finished. It’s been a long time, if ever, I needed to call a plumber. So it was a wake-up call for me to face plumber rates. I’m sure I only paid standard rates. But be prepared to pay a bit of money. Ouch!

I had a conversation with the owners of American Rooter Brad and Sarah Con. Boy did they ever WOW me. Not only did they apologize, they would refund me the total invoice from the other plumber. That alone was amazing to me. It gets much better Brad and Sarah were on the phone with me at the same time and stated many times they do not operate that way, nor do we train their staff to act that way.
Here is the shocker to me, now keep in mind this is a husband and wife team small family operation. They said, We would like to replace your water heater with the same spec water heater and bring it up to code at no charge to you.
I was thinking wow and that is exactly what happened. The owner Brad Con showed right on time as scheduled on 1-11-19. Brad replaced my water heater, installed and expansion tank and replaced pressure-reducing valve. He did great work and left my basement cleaner than before he arrived. He hauled everything away all at no charge. I would have to say these are some amazing people and went beyond anything I could have imagined to satisfy me. They are truly the SWEET plumbers.

What could be worse? Covid-19 isolation or plumbing issues? Maybe both at the same time! After a brief search and background check I decided to give American Rooter Plumbing a try and I was happy we did. After scheduling for later that day I received a email confirmation with photo. Ethan arrived on time, face mask, booties and drop cloths were used and he then evaluated my situation. The problem was quickly found and options were provided and he explained each. Repairs were scheduled for the next day. Bradd and Ethan arrived on time (another email confirmation prior to their arrival) and again face masks, booties and drop cloths were used. After completion of their repairs and clean up I was given a tour via the camera to view the cleared lines. Everything was running good as new! I highly recommend American Rooter!

Main drain back up. They came out and did a great job. It was super cold out and he would make sure to close the door each and every time he walked out plus help clean up the mess it had made when he was all done.

Joe came today to unclog our drain. In spite of difficulty with roots in our line, Joe did a great job. He was polite and cleaned up well. We highly recommend American Rooter and we will call them again with future drain issues.

Writing this as I currently have Brad and Mike in my basement working, and let me tell you these guys are top notch. First of all pricing was very competitive, and they offered me high quality materials to fix my solution (also made personal recommendations so that my choices were made well). Second of all, the professionalism and friendliness have been bar none. I work in a home sales position and understand the importance of professionalism, and I would recommend these guys to any of my friends or family. Had Mike and Dan as my technicians. They were professional and helpful. Spent a lot more than I anticipated to replace a leaky toilet, ended up just replacing 2 toilets. All in all, it was a good experience and will be going back to them for any other plumbing needs.

We spoked with Gen to discuss what type of work we wanted done. She was very helpful and quick with setting up the consultation visit, after making sure we were ok with the initial consultation charge. After the appointment was set up they were thorough with sending out a text reminder of the day and time of visit and sending a picture of the technician that would be visiting, very nice feature!

Jim was our tech and before showing up he called in advance to let me know he was on his way. Upon arrival he informed me he had a technician in training working with him and asked if it was ok with me that the trainee was on the call with him.

Not only was Jim and James very polite, friendly and very professional they both did a great job. It was great how they were very thorough with explaining the cost of what was to be done, answering questions and giving estimates of 4 different plumbing questions we had. Absolutely no pressure to do any of it! After they completed what we initially called them for, which they did an excellent job, they did a fantastic job of cleaning up after themselves. We have used this company multiple times. They have become our go to plumbers. Each time they have been out, they have gone above and beyond what we needed. Today Mike, Josh, and David were professional and great to work with. It’s safe to say we are happy customers!

The customer service fluff they send you is nice and all, introducing you to who their technicians along with a photo of who they will send to gouge you. Least they do it with a smile right?

I had a faucet at a rental property that stopped working and sure enough, I had two options of either not having water for maybe 2 weeks (presented to me as if this option was not a big deal. Just let me tell my tenant that you won't have running water for weeks. Sure.) to re-plumb for over $6,000 or replace the faucet and a few other things for $1,300. Excuse me?

A 2nd plumber who was referred to me by my constructions general contractor called and over the phone + 5 minutes later the faucet was running normally, and he did not even charge me a dime.

I've been doing real estate for 8 years and I know when it is time to get a 2nd opinion. But how many of you are actually in real estate to know it is time to get a 2nd opinion? Or just to plow forward with what someone skilled is telling you?

Maybe I don't know if the technician they sent is not skilled enough to match that of an accountant with a guided hand, or someone actively dishonest. You decide.

Dan came out and did exactly what was needed. He evaluated my needs and estimated what it would cost and performed the work in a timely manner without creating any mess.

The technician Dan arrived on time, spent a long time looking at my slow moving drains, listening to my concerns. He was able to show me the real problem is my galvanized pipes that are connected to new pipes that were added before I owned the house, not clogged drains as I was thinking. He gave me a price quote for the work needed to be done to make the house right. Overall I was pleased with the service although I will have to decide what to do moving forward.

My first experience with American Rooter was when the main drain backed up in our new house which by the way was still under warranty so we naturally called the plumbing contractor who did the work to see if they could come out and naturally they wasn't able to because he said there wasn't anyone available except the owner himself and he would have to drive in from Plattsmouth. Jeez I am glad they didn't come! However he did recommend another plumber in Omaha called American Rooter so we immediately called them and shortly after that they ( Bradd and Sara) came out to scope the main drain and in no time solved the backed up drain problem.
Ever since then I have used American Rooter to do the plumbing when I remodeled our basement which of course Bradd did and excellent job! Recently I updated our electric water heater to a gas and I wasn't going to use anyone except American Rooter to install it. The job was flawless and our neighbor who I showed it too said it was very professionally done. Bradd is a true craftsman, professional plumber. He takes time to answer any questions you have and is thoroughly experienced in providing solutions to your plumbing problems. I had a busted outside spigot that froze over the winter. The tech was very friendly and polite and thorough (although maybe too thorough, doing water tests so he could pitch a water treatment system before even looking at the busted pipe). They try to charge me $625 to cut some copper and solder it together. Not to mention the hard water treatment he claimed I needed, even though we are on city water and our faucet filters never have calcium buildup. Get out of here with that. I had Tritz Plumbing do it for $225. They charged for the work performed and didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t need. I understand plumbers have skills that I do not have and that’s why I have to call them but for $625 for a job that took 20 minutes?

They responded immediately to my call for service and were professional throughout the entire project. We had to have our sewer/drain pipe completely replaced due to tree roots collapsing it. They worked 14+ hours in the first day (even in the dark)to ensure that we could take showers, wash clothes, etc.

Both technicians new their stuff and we're very informative. They did not use any high-pressure sales tactics and just gave me the facts. I have to have a main pipe replaced and will be using them for the work. I highly recommend.

Joe came to inspect & quote at the beginning of the morning window time. He didn't rush & let me ask all of the questions I could think of. We made a decision to use their services by the next morning so called to set it up (i'll spare the detailsof talking with Andrew in the office except to say he was very nice & accommodating as well). They were able to start the next day! Joe met the plumbers doing the work at our house for introductions and then they got right to work. The plumbers working were Mike, Garrett & Keith but there were a lot more people here than that- they had a crew! They took care of EVERYTHING; the city coming to mark underground, street blockades, the construction signs, clean up & city inspection. They kept us updated & luckily everything seemed to go smooth. Mike & Garrett even stayed after to talk with me about another plumbing project we have in mind.
Now the cool part, from quote to project completion was 5 days...Monday to Friday.
This was a very intimidating & scary project that we had put off for a long time but they made it so easy & pain free. You get what you pay for and in this case, I was happy to pay for the peace of mind American Rooter gave.

Do not call this company, they send sales techs. they sign you up on a priority service but you will not be a priority when you need them. its all up selling and reoccurring charges. you will NOT get straight answers only sales pitch... as bad or worse than burton.

We had American Rooter come out and help us with a rerouting our sewer line. Sara and Andrew were great about keeping information flowing. Joe was able to explain everything in clear manner. He took the time to make each step was explained so I could understand what was going on. If you have something going on I would definitely recommend to take care of you.

I like to get multiple quotes on construction related projects, so in needing our sewer main replaced by pipe bursting, we got 3 quotes for this service. American Rooter had what I felt was best price for everything that needed done. I also liked the family oriented atmosphere they have with their employees. Bradd, Tom, and Garrett came out and were very professional and knowledgeable with this procedure, and kept me informed with everything they were doing with the sewer. Thankfully this was a scheduled replacement and not an emergency, but they were able to get the line replaced in the time estimated and on hot days. I would highly recommend American Rooter for your plumbing needs.

$2000 just to replace 2 outdoor spigots. See attached invoice. Two plumbers worked for less than 3 hours and used maybe $100 worth of parts. I had them do the work despite the outrageous price because I just needed it done.
As a working class family living on about $40,000 a year, this job cost 5% of our annual income. Maybe I should have shopped around for a more reasonable price, but they would not give an estimate over the phone, and would have charged a $65 fee if I turned down their in-person estimate.
I regret having ever called American Rooter.

Came home to a poppin leaking hot water tank, Called american rooter to fix this issue. Anerican Rooter came out next morning informed me I needed a new tank (by this time I read everything on google about tank can explored and I am beyond panicked). I was told tank was beyond repair and needed to be replaced. Tech turned off gas and water to tank I was then told about 3 different opinions for replacement so I chose the HIGH EFFICIENCY plan I saw a price of 500 plus dollars so I said lets do it. But when I looked closer at package 500 plus was not the price but the saving for that option. They wanted to charge me 3.500.00 for a hot water tank. I went to home depot got a 500 dollar water tank rented a home depot truck for 20 dollars and found someone to install it for 75 dollars. I feel these guys saw a older woman and no guy around and tried to hussle me. In my opinion stay FAR AWAY from american rooter.

We've used these guys anytime we have a plumbing issue and they've always been honest, fair and great to work with. Fair pricing and do not hide charges. Had a job involving digging up old sewer line and they got it done as soon as they could and at quoted cost. Great Plumbers!

American Rooter is a good dependable company. Good because they got our drain unclogged in a timely manner, and dependable because they responded to our call for help on the same day, showing up when they said they would. Very professional - explained options and procedures. What more could a homeowner want?

From our initial estimate, we experienced nothing but professionalism and courtesy from the team at American Rooter. We had the opportunity to meet and/or work with every member of the team. For a project of our size, it was intimidating, and they put me at ease. They were honest in their assessment of our needs and open during our review of the estimate. Not only was the job completed within their promise, their was no residual damage to my property - so many pounds of dirt on my lawn for three days did not kill my grass. I could not believe it. We had a great experience with a recent visit from American Rooter. Dan was able to quickly diagnose the initial issue and then we made a game plan to scope our main sewer line. After watching the tape, he was able to make a recommendation and further action steps. I didn't feel pressured to make a decision that day and I feel like we received quality service and an honest opinion. Overall, I felt like American Rooter was on our team and wants to work with us, not just get a check. We will be calling other companies for additional bids, but we are still very impressed with the service and professionalism and did sign up for the 2 year plan.

Our insurance agent told us that they wouldn't insure our house unless we removed all of the old steel plumbing. Bradd was up to the challenge and did an outstanding job removing all of the old piping and replacing it with new copper pipes. As an architect I was most impressed with his careful attention to detail and the quality of his craftsmanship. Very good company! The person who come to service my house was almost right on time. I think his name was Dan. I showed him where I was having issues and he very quickly explained what was wrong and gave me a few options, price ranges and wasn't intimidating or pushy at all. Even after I hesitated a little bit, he said he would gladly give me time to think it over and waited while I called my bank and then did the work promptly!

I was 'blown away' by the service provided by American Rooter Plumbing. Firstly, I was able to get a plumber out to my home the same day I called, and a plumber was dispatched to my house within a couple of hours of my initial request. The plumber explained all the issues in my home (that needed servicing, repairing, or updating), gave me cost options, (as to what I could afford to do right now, and/or what was most urgent), and completed the work the same day also. I will definitely recommend American Rooter to friends and family! A special shout out to Sara (who took my call), and the plumber, Josh :) You guys rock!

1. Didn’t honor their original quote ON THE DAY OF THE JOB until I repeatedly called and pestered them.
2. Their employees poured remaining concrete / sediment into the toilet, then tried to charge me $1,812 for a $400 job.
3. Tried to scare me into replacing my main valve for $809 when it wasn't needed.

One of their employees gave me a quote, so I budgeted for that and committed to the company. On the day of the job, they came to our house, and the owner said the quote was inaccurate - that it would be way more, because it included breaking and pouring cement.

I asked if they could honor the original, he refused, and left.

I had to call Sarah (the vice president) multiple times before we finally got around to a solution - for them to honor the original quote.
While I understand it was the employees inaccurate quote, I budgeted and set aside time for them to come out (other plumbers were backed up weeks. By walking out and refusing to honor the quote, they were pushing my renovation schedule back by weeks, leaving me back at square one). Usually, I would not call to ask an already untrustworthy and unethical company to honor an original quote, but I didn’t want to start over.

Finally, after the job was done, I received an additional invoice for $2,748.

- $1,812 to clear out my main drain, which they said was over 80% clogged.

- $809 to replace my main valve.

Omaha Drain came out, as I wanted a second opinion, given my already tainted experience with American Rooter Plumbing (ARP).

1. Omaha Drain cleaned and jetted my main line for $400, compared to ARP's quote for $1,812. They did everything on ARP's invoice and more (jetting), because their line is longer, and ARP's line is only 35 ft.
2. The man who cleaned out one of the toilets said the top layer was clogged with cement - which he showed me. This means someone POURED THE REMAINING CEMENT INTO THE TOILET.
3. I called Sarah to inform her of this (I wasn’t looking for compensation) I just wanted to let her know what her employees were up to. Given the fact that they were trying to make more money, it’s NOT a coincidence that there was cement in the toilet.

She immediately said “It’s probably your painters, painters are notorious for dumping paint and stuff in toilets. If you want compensation, we need to check for ourselves.”

A. Like I would trust your company to check anything, especially after you show up at my house, try to up-sell me, and when it doesn’t work, you tell me the original quote was inaccurate and you’d have to charge more? The quality of your employees is already evident.
B. I never asked for compensation. I just wanted to let you know of another mishap with their employees.
C. The sediment in the toilet was confirmed to be cement. No one had access to the house during the week of plumbing construction. The only people who were working with cement throughout the entire renovation process, regardless, was American Rooter Plumbing. There is no gray area; it is black and white.

Another plumber took a look at my leaking main valve, which ARP wanted to charge me another $809 to replace. The plumber let me know that big companies like this try to scare customers into replacing valves that just need to be tightened. He tidied up the packing and left for FREE. This goes to show just how unethical ARP's employees are.

I give 1 star for Sarah’s willingness to send me an invoice for my credit card dispute with another plumbing company (I’ve learned the hard way that plumbers in Omaha are so dishonest). She initially said she’d write a letter, so I waited a week and a half for her to return from vacation, but she ended up just sending an updated invoice.

Bottom line -
I would have appreciated not having to go in circles and being left at square one, in order for them to honor their original quote.

As for the cement they poured in the toilet (in order to make an additional $1,812 for a job that can be done for $400, that speaks for itself. I never wanted compensation, just better employees and better management with some honesty and sincerity.

They gave a quote for sewer work and after delaying me an extra week the day the service was to be performed I get a call from the technician stating that they underestimated the work and the price turned out to 2 times the original amount. Very unprofessional. Wasted a lot of my time. Never will I use their services.

I called on short notice with a drain backing up in our basement. American Rooter got me on the schedule right away. I was notified by email and text, and a phone call that the technician was on his way with an estimated arrival time. They included a picture so I would know who to look for. Jake was a pleasure to work with and took his time to explain the process and answer the questions I had. He gave me options to repair and walked me through what makes American Rooter different from others in the area. I felt confident in his explaination, abilities and had a strong level of trust. I could not recommend them highly enough for the quick service and honesty I felt. Definetly will use them if needed in the future and recommend to everyone. I can not speak highly enough about American Rooter. When I called with a problem Sarah listened to what I said and sent her technician out right away. Bradd was extremely professional and took every precaution possible to protect my house and property. He knew what he was doing and fixed it quickly for a very reasonable price. I am very disappointed with American Rooter. They were the second company that I called out of three plumbing companies. The first company I called was ***** Drains. I am not sure why they have drains in the name but he did nothing but take my $99. He did snake my line out to 100 feet and gave up.

I then called American Rooter. I told him what already been done. American Rooter said that he only has a 100 foot cable on his snake. He said he can do the same job that the previous plumber did for 400 dollars. Other option was to HydroFLow the line for 1000 dollars or rip out the line for around 4000 thousand dollars. Of course he offered to look at the line with a camera for 322 dollars.

So I called **** Drain, they were on time and very help. I had tree roots 130 feet out and he fixed all my issues in less than an hour. I gave away 149 dollars to other plumbers that did nothing.

I am disappointed with American Rooter because he could have done the same thing that my third plumber did.

I will give them two stars because the plumber was nice and on time. Also he only took 49 dollars of my hard earned money.

These guys are fast. So fast that they were ready to start the job before I was!
They had to bust through my cement floor and dig up a pipe from the ground but12 hours later you'd never know there had been piles of dirt all over the floor. Aside from the new cement you'd never know there were there at all!

Extremely understanding, kind hearted and genuine about my plumbing problems. Even though I couldn't afford their costs they were more than helpful with giving alternative solutions.

Mike was very knowledgeable and walked me through the whole house to assess it’s plumbing needs before repairing the hot and cold water valves for my new washing machine. He carefully explained the function of each fixture we looked at so that we can understand how our system works as a whole. I recently had the distinct pleasure of engaging the services of American Rooter Plumbing, and I must say, they are the epitome of professionalism, skill, and dedication. My home was experiencing a serious plumbing issue - the basement bathroom was flooding every time we used the dishwasher, washing machine, or even took a shower.

This incident could not have occurred at a worse time, just before the last day of school for both my children, when my schedule was at its busiest. American Rooter Plumbing, however, worked impeccably around my tight schedule. They demonstrated a level of flexibility and understanding that is, in my experience, unparalleled in the industry.

The plumber assigned to my case was Pat. I have nothing but the highest praises for him. He was back first thing the next morning, armed with his drain jetter, and he succeeded in clearing the stubborn blockage.

I wouldn't ever use this plumber again. They didn't tell me what they would charge prior to completing the work, I had them replace the toilet valve and was charged over $400. It was less than an hour of labor. I consulted another plumber and they said that was over double. They are dishonest and unethical.

They wouldn’t provide me a bid for a sewer repair unless I was at the home. Originally I scheduled a technician to meet my father at the house and was led to believe that would be fine. Then they called when the tech was on the way and said I would need to be home. There’s no reason that I can see that they would need me home to provide a free estimate.

Garrett, Soren, and Otto were great to work with. They did a great job explaining what they were doing and making sure it was done correctly. We appreciated them cleaning up on the way out.

They want $70 just to give you an estimate and it doesn’t come off your bill. I think they sub out their work so you don’t know who you’re getting? The receptionist called my job small so that was further reason why the plumber needed the $70. Wow!

Courteous, professional, personable and great service. I appreciate the thoughtfulness that the owners put into their business. You even get an email with a picture of their service technician to let you know who is on the way. This is great from a security perspective, particularly in this day and age when you can't be too sure. If I ever need a plumber again, I will use American Rooter.

Don't be shocked if you get asked for money before any work is even done. While the quality of the work was good, the ridiculous expense of it was not. Also don't hire them to snake a drain. We did and within 12 weeks it was backing up again, so we called them, and rather than figure out the problem they refused to lift a finger without payment first since we had to repay for a job that obviously wasn't done right the first time, because they only warranty it for a week or two after they snake it. And we all know a clogged drain can sometimes take weeks or months to backfill enough to be noticeable....

Very nice people who were able to provide a newer repair method when my main sewer line broke. They didn’t have to dig up my entire yard to replace the entire line. More competitively priced compared to most other Rooter places too.

He was very professional, respectful, knowledgeable and he also found time to share his technical expertise while working. He was very precise with all the work he accomplished and made sure everything was completed in the best possible way. The perfection in his job really showed and I was honored to have him in my home.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about my my experience with Brad, Sarah and American Rooter. My issue was somewhat of an emergency and an obvious surprise. Sarah made me feel very comfortable with my decision in calling them. She assured me that I was in good hands and that they would take care of my issue.

They were out the very next day and diagnosed my concern and gave me different options as to how the repair would be ranging from best to worst case scenario.

We had our sewer line replaced due to the failure of several joints with aggressive offsets. We knew its time had come; house is 58 years old and roots from the large maple tree were a never ending headache. Also, we already had one sewer backup that caused a good deal of damage in the basement. After research, we were impressed with trenchless sewer replacement. American Rooter is expert in this method and we are so happy we chose them. They are professional, hard working, answered all our questions and the job was completed on time. They are the only plumbing company we will use. We are thrilled with them!!!

We scheduled them to water jet our pipes for around $900 9 months ago due to water build up in our basement drain (running from kitchen and washing machine). The person that cleaned our line promised us a free cleaning if we had any other issues that might’ve not been diagnosed. Now we’re having water buildup in our kitchen sink and they told us this free cleaning isn’t a policy. We called Roto-rooter to snake our kitchen line for $240. The employee at Roto-rooter mentioned we were overcharged by American Rooter... $900 might be enough to replace the whole line.

Appointment time was 8 to 10, he called right before 8 to say he was on his way. He was very thorough, and explained things very well. He didnt try to push anything that was not needed. Cleaned up after himself, I will definitely use them again if needed and highly recommend!

I would give American Rooter zero stars, but I cant. I could not have had a worse experience with them. American Rooter was the first company I called. Instead of helping my tenants and unclogging the sewer line, they tried to scam me out of $14,000. The other company had it fixed in less than an hour and charged me $288. The reason I am calling them scan artists, is because they still had the audacity to charge me $387 and they fixed absolutely NOTHING. American Rooter is the definition of an unethical company. I will NEVER use them again.
