Affordable Plumbing Maintenance

Bill Drake came to clean/unclog the kitchen sink in our house. He came only 30 min after I got his number!! And fixed our drain in about 30 min! Cost $145. Very professional and super nice guy! I highly recommend him! He even gave me plenty of free tip to avoid that issue in the future!

I had Bill come out and clean my main sewer line as part of routine preventative maintenance. He was very polite and informative. Not only that, but he was able to come out the same day! I'll definitely be calling him again.

I would say that the only thing affordable about them is the name. I called at 8 am they said they would be here at 1. No show at 4 pm, i called again the guy said he was on a job and basically forgot about me. He said it would take am hour to get here. He got here at 5 pm, i had a plug under my toilet, it took him 1 hour to fix, cost 216 dollars. But i can say he did good work.

Before I called Mr. Drake I had tried working with at least four other plumbers over the years. Now that Bill has been taking care of our plumbing for the last couple of years, I know once he's out to the house, the problem will be fixed right the first time. He goes out of his way to make sure I am able to prevent future problems and he is very affordable. I never mind if I have to wait for him to come out, but if it's an emergency he always gets to it right away.
I think it's noteworthy to say that I am a consumer paralegal by trade; therefore, I take consumer reviews very seriously. Having said that, I would personally, without hesitation, recommend Affordable Plumbing to any of my friends, family, coworkers and clients should they ever need a good, reliable plumber.

We called Bill to fix a clogged toilet/tub on a Saturday at 12 PM. He showed up within an hour, was curtesy, professional and was able to get our clog freed up. I would highly recommend Bill. He is incredibly Afforable and responsive. Thank you, Bill for saving us a headache.

Horrible service. Lies to customers, don’t ever trust Bill. He will rip you off and not fix anything. Not even a real company it’s just one old man who doesn’t know anything.

Great experience with Bill! He takes the anxiety from plumbing issues and makes you feel at ease. I have never recalled exclaiming to a contractor, thats all?! when getting the bill, but did just that with Bill and Affordable Plumbing. He and his employee take their job seriously and are professionals in every sense of the word. I personally would use no one else in the Omaha area.

He had some minor inconveniences (a leaky pipe and replacing a valve with 2 water lines instead of one) but he dealt with it in a professional manner. He ran out to get the pieces to accommodate 2 water lines and went to work! Don’t waste your time calling this company because unless you know what the problem is as if you’re a plumber they can’t help you. Very unprofessional.

This business owner does not hold a city of Omaha Master tech Plumbing license as he claimed he did, and as the law requires. Nonexistent license verified by City of Omaha Permits and inspections office. Buyer beware.

I appreciate and am satisfied with the service I received from Affordable Plumbing Maintenance. Bill came when he said he would, did the repair and replacement work I requested, and provided insight to the causes and potential problems. I will use and recommend Affordable Plumbing in the future.

I found Bill by referral, a realtor friend purchased a property with a bad sewer pipe, and Bill was the most affordable option. I have since personally used Affordable Plumbing twice for complete sewer line replacement on two different investment properties. Bill gets the job done on time, on budget and his staff is friendly and easy to work with. I like the fact that he is a 24/7 operation, as I often find myself calling or texting him late in the evenings, when most contractors have finished for the day. Affordable Plumbing is an excellent company to call for sewer line replacements. He is my go to person for sewer line inspections and repair.

Needed to have a sink unclogged that had been clogged for weeks. I called and he was at my door within an hour. He explained what he was doing, was personable and done in 45min. The price was the best I've seen! Would definitely recommend Affordable Plumbing Maintenance to anyone!

Bill Drake and his assistants are courteous, knowledgeable, and fair. After the initial fix to our toilet started to leak (a bad wax ring; no fault of his) he responded quickly, had an employee fix our issue promptly, and even called to check back up on the repair. Highly recommended.

2 hours of labor charged for 30 mins of actual labor. In all, +300 for a leaking faucet at a restaurant. Will not be recommending or looking for service with them In the future.

Make sure your staff remember the appointments that you schedule the day before. First time you came like a year ago I liked the service but the second time you didn't show up and when I called the guy said he knew nothing about it.

Called last night and made an appointment for him to come out today at 3 to fix our kitchen sink drain. It is now almost 7 pm. Never showed, never called. Needless to say we have called another plumbing company to come out tomorrow. Wish we had skipped calling affordable plumbing and called someone else to begin with! We would have a working sink right now if we had!

Called for service call at 5:15 pm Tuesday 10/26 and gentlemen refused. Asked if he was 24 hour service and he stated yes and that nothing has come in since 1pm so he went to Buffalo Wild Wings. Hung up.

Worst company. They collected $640 from us and were trying to collect money from the insurance company as well for the same service. Their final word was to get another company to give us an estimate after they supposedly located the broken pipe, and were going to start working.
Reported for Insurance fraud, Federal Trade Comission for this guy business practice.

I texted Bill at almost 5pm…when everyone else was closing. We needed a drain unclogged…had backed up in our basement. Bill responded immediately, and showed up within 20 minutes. Was kind, professional, and gave me great advice to prevent my problem in the future. Thanks for your great service, Bill!

About a week or so ago, I noticed the sink in my upstairs bathroom was draining slower and slower . . . pretty much by the day. So after perusing the listings on Google, and after many attempts at other services, I came across this company. I told Bill, the owner, my issue and asked how much to fix it. He told me it would be 75.00 + tax which would make it about 80.00 and some change, but he could not get to it until the next day which was Wednesday. I set the appointment for Wednesday at 2 pm. Wednesday morning Bill called and said they were being held up by a big job and he would have to push my appointment back to 3 or 3:30 pm. I agreed to this. SO FINALLY AT 4:35 pm, one of Bill's employees shows up, I showed him to the sink and left him at it. About 30 minutes later he comes downstairs and asks me if there was any extensive work done previously on the upstairs pipes. I told him yes about 5 or so years ago, there was some pipes replaced and they had to open the wall in my bedroom to do it. He tells me that he couldn't snake past a point in the piping because of some kind of blockage or sharp turn . . . SO I WOULD HAVE TO GET A PLUMBER OUT TO POSSIBLY OPEN THE WALL AGAIN IN ORDER TO GET TO THE ROOT OF THE CLOG! I stood back and looked at him and asked, Aren't you a plumber?, he says, No, I'm just a drain guy . . . So I asked him was the sink still clogged, he said yes. So I went back upstairs and sat in my room while he gathered his things, after he wiped up whatever mess he made in the bathroom.
Unbeknownst to me, there was a 50.00 service fee, he didn't charge me the extra 30.00 since he wasn't able to get the drain unclogged. THANKS!!! So I paid 50.00 for this guy to show up over 2 and 1/2 hours late, further clog up the pipes, leave dirty brown water standing in the sink (which he could've taken the pipe off and let the crap drain into a bucket and then dump the bucket into the toilet! But I guess that would've been too much like right!) And then to make matters worse . . . HE'S JUST A DRAIN GUY?!?! When somebody shows up to my house with PLUMBING written on the side of the van, I EXPECT A PLUMBER! And instead of ME having to call somebody else . . . why didn't he call his boss and ask him to come to the house to further assess the situation?!?!

I called Bill, told him I was not happy at the virtual non-service I got, and the mess that was left behind, not to mention that I felt like I paid them for nothing! Also upset that now it is up to me to get ANOTHER plumber to come out and fix what they didn't fix. At first he sounded as if he were going to come out, but I told him I wasn't at home because I had to be somewhere at 6 pm, and that I wasn't happy about his guy being late either. In the end Bill half-way apologized and said he would say something to his guy about leaving a dirty sink with standing water. I also told him there was no discussion of this 50.00 service charge. He told me that he should've charged me the full 80.00, but since he didn't get it unclogged he only charged me the 50.00...

NEVER AGAIN!!!

UPDATE:

Roto-Rooter was out here this morning, he too was a drain guy. Difference between him and this clown organization from yesterday? He didn't charge me for not remedying the clog, and he didn't leave a mess!

I called Bill and told him I wanted my money back, because there was no previous talk of a service fee, and the aforementioned regarding Roto-Rooter. This fool had the nerve to tell me (without ever stepping foot in here), that my pipes were not up to code, and something about his guy not being able to go through the toilet to unclog the drain. I asked him just how in the hell he came to that conclusion? He says because he's been doing it 20 years ..............

I again demanded a refund, he refused, I told him I hope that's the last 50.00 he ever gets, I'm calling the BBB, and he just might end up on the news!

Bill is amazing! I have had him come out 3 times now, once for a drain clog, once for preventative maintenance and the third time because I forgot about the preventative maintenance appointment and then needed him to come out for my laundry room flooding. Bill has always responded promptly, has shown up got right to work, explained everything about the situation so I knew what was going on. He is quick, reliable and affordable. He has always charged fair prices and I will never call another plumber. Thank you Bill for all that you do, you are a great example of customer service!

I had water standing in my floor drain last night from my washing machine leaking. I thought my drain needed to be snaked, but Bill told me it just needed some cleaner put in it to dissolve the gunk in it. So I went and bought some and put it in. He also put the hose on my washer that was a universal size and I had the wrong end on so it leaked all over. Then he didn't even charge me for coming. I was very thankful I called him and it wasn't a major repair for me!

After needing a plumber in a jam, and in a rush, I have found the cooled and best dude. Judgment free, too. It's such a great feeling knowing I have an affordable and reliable guy for that... Diamond in the rough!
