We have used this company before in the past with no issues. today was another matter, we had a pipe burst under the sink in our basement and it flooded the area we had to shut off the water at the mains supply. we called razor rooter at 8:25 to set up an appointment the scheduler said she would get the info to the plumber as they set their own schedules we waited until 10 and still had not heard from the plumber. so we called back. the scheduler again said that they set their own schedules and we said we understand that, but all we want is just a phone call saying if they will be able to get to us today and approximately a time she said she would send the info to the plumber. we waited until 1:00 p.m. this time and still had not heard from the plumber. we called and again they told us the same thing finally the plumber called back about 15 minutes later his name was Russell he was rude to my mother on the phone my mother was upset and flustered because of everything that had went on this morning with our water and was trying to explain the problem to him, she handed the phone to me to explain the situation. he was rude to her and sarcastic to me, stating so youve got a leak and made fun of the fact that my mom was flustered on the phone. He was extremely
unprofessional on the phone and very sarcastic. And then stated he wouldn't be able to get to us until tomorrow. It would have been nice to get a phone call back in the morning letting us know that . Needless to say we will not be using them again. They've lost a 15 year customer all due to bad communication, lack of caring and terrible responsiveness. Would not recommend Razor Rooter anymore.

Showed up 40 minutes late and then drug the sewer roots all over the home! Did not clean it up. Told me it is only water. I replied, Yes, Sewer water!
Never again!

I couldn't believe they answered my call at 11:30 at night! They are amazing, helpful, will return your call, and available when you need them (which is so important when your basement is full of waste!)

Jeremy came out and fixed my backed up line for me and was so genuinely nice! He made sure I understand the issue and what to do to make sure it doesn't happen again. As a new homeowner, it's so helpful to work with people who want to help you. I wish every company was this helpful!

I had them out to my residence to run my toilet and they were very professional and they cleaned up their mess when done. I would recommend this company to anybody. I called several places before scheduling with this company and they were the only one that offered same day service. Thumbs up for this company.

Bob Hamilton came first to try and unclog the drain and somehow made it worse. They claimed there was concrete in the drain and quoted me $15,000 to replace the pipes! I called Razor Rooter and they were out within two days (we're in a polar vortex when this is happening, so understandably they will be busy). Josh was dispatched first thing in the morning to my house and cleared the pipe in just 30 minutes. He also claims that it was just roots, not cement.

Josh was very professional, showed up when he said he would, and is clearly knowledgeable about his trade. He answered all my questions simply enough for me to understand and explained the situation using analogies that helped everything make sense to me.

Overall, I am highly satisfied with the results and services provided. Josh not only cleared the pipes, but cleared the stress that came with it. I would have given 5 stars if they cleaned up the sewage, but Josh told me I can wash it back down the drain. Understandably, cleanup is not their job, but, luckily, there isn't that much to clean up in my case and it will be super easy.

Bob charged me $350, Razor Rooter was less than half that. Bob refused to come back out to finish the job, Razor Rooter warrantied the work for 90 days. Never use Bob Hamilton.

These guys are awesome. Had a main drain back up. They showed up on time. Explained everything they were doing. They were in and out in 30 mins and the bill was waaaaaay cheaper then rotorooter. Main drain is clear and the Problem is fixed. Thank you guys.

I have used these plumbers for over a decade. They have always been on time and go above and beyond to do agreat job. I've used them for drain cleaning, septic tank and for all of my general plumbing needs. The best plumbers in Kansas City hands down.

Their technician caused my pipe to crack, left without fixing the problem, left without cleaning up his mess, and I’ve been told, even though I have water leaking in my basement, that I have to wait until tomorrow morning. Definitely not 24 hour service.

I, like many of those in the other 1-star reviews I've seen, also fell victim to Razor Rooter's poor customer service and overall non-responsiveness.

**TL;DR: don't go with this company if you have an emergency issue or need something fixed promptly. They do not communicate with you. They are not responsive to your needs. Their employees will even lie/create bogus excuses as to why they were so slow in addressing your issue.**

We've been without hot water in our kitchen for almost a week and a half now. Razor Rooter was hired to fix our issue the middle of last week by our property management company (we rent). My husband provided his contact information so that the plumber could contact us directly to schedule a time to come fix the issue. He heard nothing from them that day. The next morning, I provided the company with my contact information so that the plumber could schedule a time with me to come fix the issue--as I was the one who was home. By 1 pm that day, I still hadn't heard from the plumber, so I emailed the company asking when I could expect the plumber to stop by. The company responded an hour later saying that no one would be out to our house that day. We heard nothing over the weekend.

As of noon on Monday, we still had not heard from the plumber about coming to fix our issues. So I called Razor Rooter directly. I was told that our ticket had been given to Russ the previous week and that she would have him contact me or my husband. 10 minutes later, he contacted my husband saying he hadn't heard about our issues until the company called him 10 minutes before (debatable since the woman at the company said they'd given him the ticket the week before) and that he would be by our house between 10 and 11 on Tuesday to fix the issue. My husband had to stay home from work yet again Tuesday to await the plumber.

Needless to say, 11am on Tuesday came and went--no word from Russ. Noon came and went--still no word from Russ. 1pm came and went--no word from Russ. My husband tried calling Russ multiple times, but he refused to answer. Then my husband called the company at 1:30pm to ask what the deal was. The woman who answered the phone told him she'd have Russ call him immediately. 5 minutes later, Russ magically calls my husband and says that he thought he was scheduled to come between noon and 1--it was after 1:30pm by this point. None the less, this assertion was still a lie because he specifically said he'd be there between 10 and 11 and then later admitted to my husband that he was in fact supposed to be at our place between 10 and 11.

Russ finally showed up around 2:20pm on Tuesday, took a look at our kitchen sink for about 10 minutes, told my husband we'd need a new faucet, and that he would not be able to install it that day. He promptly left without any word as to when or if he would return to replace the faucet.

Frankly, this lack of customer service and lack of communication are astonishing. This is not how you run a business. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Awesome and fast service. The guy that came out was very friendly and knowledgeable. Originally they where my supposed to come out as early as they did but the plumber called to come earlier because of the severity of the problem. Would definitely recommend.

i am amazed with the technician. He works without taking any break until he cleared the root out of the drain. Outstanding service with fair price. I was about to call Bob Hamilton service, but after read Jane Done reviews and went with Razor Rooter. Thanks So Much!

Technician came out to unclog main drain. Replaced an access part, basically at cost with no charge for labor. Then he spent the rest of of the time augering the line, which took much longer than usual, all with a smile and great attitude. Don't know that I'd have done the same. Highly recommend.

This plumbing company does VERY Honest and Clean work! I have had them come out twice to clean my mainline and they are much cheaper and quick and timely on their appointments!

He gave the most affordable quote out of everyone I called, repaired same day and helped with some extra services that needed done with no extra fees. I was impressed!

Alex and Gavin came by later in the day last night to clear a backed up kitchen sink and bathroom sink. Both were extremely professional and talked me through what they thought was going on. They attempted to clear the drain, but weren't happy with what they were able to accomplish.

Thinking they needed to access my drain through the roof vent we all agreed during daylight hours was best. Alex and Gavin showed up right when they said they would today. Alex reassembled my kitchen sink and to our surprise he actually cleared the drain last night.

I work in the service industry and know what technicians go through. Any negative reviews of this place about being on time or breaking something are coming from those who have never done that type of work. Stuff happens, and it's typically not the technicians intention to cause damage.

100% recommend these two for your needs on drain clearing. I would like to think their ethics and ability are the same as everyone else. But I can only speak for Alex and Gavin.

Call them Tuesday afternoon and said my main line was clogged need to be cleaned out they said they would get to me tomorrow afternoon I said that’s fine did not hear or see anybody called at 4:30 in the afternoon on Wednesday said the technician is running behind will be later this evening I’ve not heard a word since I will not be calling them ever again I’ve called another company and thief estimate is cheaper

Had this plumber to our house for main line last month. Not even a full month later same issue and they swear the roots grew back in 1 month & refuse to come and redo! Then was rude on the phone & hung up on me!! Sorry poor customer service. Wow! Disappointed especially since they are local?

Weve had 4 plumbers out to our house and no one could find the problem nor fix the problem! We had a technician Preston come out who was very friendly, took his time, found the problem, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was fixed and CLEANED up before he left! Couldnt have asked for a better company or technician to come to our home and take the time to get our house back in order. Never once did he rush to get job done. He was here for us felt like family and made sure we were super happy before leaving. Our family feels blessed to have found not only this company but a technician that cared to get the problem fixed correctly!

Arrived on schedule. Work properly completed. Google asks that I describe the atmosphere....not a relevant question for a company which clears blocked sewage from drains.

What an absolute disappointment......I have been a long-time customer of this business and apparently loyalty to a company means nothing. Very poor customer service!! I will not be using this company any longer and will encourage others to go elsewhere, too.

I don't even want to give them 1 star. This is the ABSOLUTE WORST company I have ever had to deal with. First they where suppose to come at 7pm they called me at 6:30 and told me they would be over in 35 mins. Well 7 comes and still no one. The guy ended up calling and saying Can't make it I have no headlights. Then we said okay well what should we do.. He replied with I don't know figure it out. I'm a very understanding person but why did he already tell me he was on his way then 35 mins later says he can't make it???? Then to top it off not being very helpful as to what we should do next. I then called them the next morning and they apologized and told me I would be top priority. I set it up for 5pm and I called them at 4 to ask for a time frame the rude lady at the store replied with Sorry I couldn't tell ya it could be as early as 5 or later then 7 THEY JUST TOLD ME I WAS TOP PRIORITY!!! It's almost 6:30 and still nothing. I would never ever recommend this company to anyone. Now I have been reading all of the other reviews and realizing I should have done that in the first place....

They are awesome! They spent the entire day at our house helping fish a drain bladder out of our pipes. The plumber Mark was nice, treated my wife nicely until I could make it home and bound and determined to fix our issue. They will be the only plumber we use if we ever need one again.

Razor Rooter can clean a line out for sure! I had a nightmare experience the True Blue Plumbing they wanted me to replace all my sewer lines for $6600. Razor Rooter gave me a 90 day guarantee and I recommend them no sales pitch just a clean line. Thank you Razor Rooter so much!

Razor rooter has always been a reliable plumbing service ever since we found them back in the 80's. they have fixed and remodeled countless plumbing situations for us. You cant go wrong with these plumbers.

Mark showed up with a rotating blade to clean my drain...after Bob Hamiltons technician said I needed to excavate dig up the drain and replace it for $3500. My drain is working great thanks to Mark.

I have used this company for well over 11 years and have referred many customers to this company. However, in the past year I noticed a big change and truly will never ever refer anyone to this company nor will I use them for our 13 rentals. They lost a customer just for the rudeness that the lady answering the phone conveyed. Not only was she rude and told me many times she was doing me a favor but she then hung up on me. Trust me I don't need any favors from anyone so no loss but I will tell everyone I know not to use the company.

They showed up and worked for an hour then said the problem couldn't be fixed because the city had cut out sewer line and that they were seeing a lot of this. They charged $400 and I told them I wasn't paying $400 for an unfinished job. They said they understood and took $200. I called the city. The city said no lines were cut and called Reddy Rooter who got the job done quickly for another $200. I do not recommend razor rooter.

I have used this company before and they've been fairly good but recently I have had a hose spigot outside that does not work I've called them a month ago they they said they were real busy and that they plumber would give me a call I've called them three times and they're still busy. I had to call another plumber because they are just not reliable on getting back to you

Things with this company have changed. I called 2+ months ago the answering service said the plumber makes his own appointments. Well I never heard from anyone. They must not need the business now and I have used them for many years and they were always great to work with, but not any more. I am now looking for a new plumber one that will not take 2 months to call and make an appointment.

Great honest company

Called Roto Rooter and they where out with in a hour. The plumber was polite and quick. I will use them again.

They came out on a Sunday and cleared my main pipe going out to my septic. Was very professional.

Plumber ran auger and told me that the main sewer line was broken so he couldn't clear it. So, I called a company called The Bearded Plumber to come out and dig up the sewer line to replace. He was nice enough to run the camera down the drain to make sure it was really a broken pipe. It was not a broken pipe and so he ran the auger and cleared it no problem. I asked Razor Rooter if they'd refund my fee since they were wrong and didn't clear my drain and they said no. So I paid them but I won't use them again for my 60+ rental houses.

Razor Rooter also busted out a bathtub drain at another rental house I own. I think they used to be a good company but as of recently, I have not been happy.

I've had to have someone from this place come three times in a row! It took that many visits for the same two guys to fix something they missed the previous visits. One of them left a cap connected to the plumbing open in my basement and water shot out everywhere. Do not give this company your business the people they hire are no good at their job.

I have previously used this company and was pleased with the service, but when the 2 men came today and my husband let them in thru the front door and they did not have mask or shoe coverings, I was astonished!! We are in a pandemic and every where I go I am required to at least wear a PPE also for my Job I suggest you do the same for your employees, when I ask about this one of your guys just kinda laughed it off!! Not funny!! They are servicing Jackson County do the right thing!! NOT FUNNY

I called this company to come out and repair a slow drain at a rental home I own. The technician advised me that since the house had a drum trap the best course of action would be to plug the Overflow and plunge the drain. While doing this he cracked the drain line and told me he would give me an estimate to repair the drain but he couldn't do it then because the floor would have to be jackhammered up. I never received an estimate only a charge on my card . Since I did not hear back from them I called another company they came out had the problem fixed in less than an hour and $200. I would be very cautious before dealing with this company

called yesterday about a clog and was told they would be out that evening. I never heard from them. Called this morning and they said they didn't have our number (we gave it to them and it was on the caller ID). Called again this morning they said we were still on the list. At noon I had to call someone else. I have used them before but I will not call them again.

Great company very honest

I called 2 days in a row just to have a toilet unclogged and they told me they would be out 2 days in a row, they were a NO SHOW NO CALL!! I would never recommend Razor Rooter to ANYONE they are so unprofessional and the office staff is rude!!

After calling on Friday evening and setting an appointment for Sunday afternoon ( the first available appointment) they were a no show then I called and rescheduled for Tuesday the next available time and again a no show. Keeping in mind I have used their sevices many times in the past and always pleased this time however the customer service was terrible and ended up going elsewhere.

I used a razor rooter To clear a mainline at a rental property. They came out three different times and said the line was clear but I still had a back up. I called a different company to have the same work done and they were able to clear it on the first try. I called to ask for a refund because they were never able to clear the line and I was told that they did not give refunds. Do not waste your time and money with this company!!! REPLY to razor rooter: And as I discussed, I’m not willing to allow my tenants to live in sewage for ANOTHER week while you constantly lie to me and say the line is clear when it obviously is not! This is the first offer to camera the line (but Anthony’s plumbing has already cleared it) and I’ve spoken with the office several time to get this resolved. You wasted my time and money. I gave you the opportunity to do the right thing and refund my money since you did not do the work you charged me for.

I had tree roots in my main sewer line I had called another plumbing company out that morning the plumber said that I had to replace my main line because he could not get through the roots. So I called Razor Rooter & the plumber had all the roots cleaned out & cleaned the whole lone in under 2 hours. There prices are great & there plumbers are well trained & know how to do there job.

Came out to snake my sewer line same day, and we're super honest and fair. I was expecting to have to have my line replaced but they were able to clear out all of the roots another company wasn't able to 6 months ago
