R-Mech Heating Plumbing Cooling

I had an appointment for Monday and Jon called on Sunday to tell me that he was overbooked. I figured he was asking if we could do it later in the week. Instead he asked if he could just come out later that day on a Sunday. I have never had that happen. He made it out that day and his bid to replace my sewer line ended up being significantly less than the next lowest. They were out when they said they would be and we're very polite and courteous. Would definitely recommend them to anybody looking to replace their sewer line.

We purchased a dual sump pump with battery back-up from R-Mech with a DIMBY coupon for $1100 to replace our very old pump. R-Mech was in touch with us in 8 days to schedule installation. DIMBY coupons say to allow two weeks. The only time we had water in our basement was when power went out and pump stopped working. The plumber technician (Adam) arrived promptly on time and had new pump installed and running in about 40 minutes. He was polite, professional, answered all my questions and tidied up afterward. It was still raining so we were able to see our new sump pump in action. We would use them again.

Called them to do some plumbing work. Very responsive and arrived in a timely manner. Quickly fixed the problem. I would definitely use them again.

James came out to install a water heater. I had purchased the wrong hot water heater and had to return the one he came with. We had gone five days without hot water and we believed that we would have to wait another five days once we returned the water heater and purchased the correct one. I immediately bought the correct one and James made made a point to come out late that evening and get it installed. He did high quality work quickly and was very professional.

Higher price than other quotes and forgot our appointment as a no show then didn't turn the air back on at the power source so we thought it was still non-working and had to call again. They supposedly tested it after repair but that's not possible when it's off, you wouldn't turn it off again after testing so that can't have happened. Just a mediocre service at a high price.

Requested a quote for some urgent plumbing needs online and I received a call literally 30 seconds later. They told me a plumber was available now and could be there in 10 minutes. Very fast response time and quality of work was great. I will definitely be using this company again for any future plumbing needs!

Both technicians were courteous and professional. They solved my issues @ the cost quoted. Recommend

Found this company on Angie's List. They were fantastic with us from the first call I made. We're in the middle of buying a home and the home inspector found tree roots in the sump pump pit. After speaking with several, very qualified individuals, we made an appointment to get the pit inspected. We felt the small fee was more than worth it to ensure us there were no issues with the pit. Drew was very knowledgeable regarding sump pumps and pits and put our concerns at ease with one look at the pit. He even went outside to check the drainage around the home to make sure all water was flowing away from the home and it was. This home also has a tankless water heater. This is something they specialize in. We will definitely keep Drew's number handy should we need any plumbing, cooling or heating assistance with our new home. This type of customer service is few and far between and it's reassured us that it's not completely gone.

Serviceman was very polite and effecient. He was right on time. He answered all my questions. He also put everything in his work area before he left.

Replaced 2 hot water tanks. I called several companies to determine cost and knowledge. Brad, the owner, spent time with me to explain what they would do as well as the best brands to go with as well as explain the difference between tankless vs. tank. I went with the tank because if one goes out (which happened this time) there is a backup plus it's less expensive. I wanted an extended warranty as the original warranty on an A.O. Smith was 6 years as were the other brands. For an additional $100/tank I was able to extend the warranty an additional 4 years. Brad also came out to see if we would need additional plumbing work to address updated spec requirements. In my opinion, he updated our plumbing to be better than what it was when the house was built in '06. Because he took the time to talk to me as well as explain so much, I knew the job would be done right and if needed in the future my needs would be addressed quickly with reasonable charges applied. They will be 'go to' company for any future needs.

Our technician, Cory, was very knowledgeable about our AC unit. He thoroughly explained all the details of his process while examining and fixing the parts of our AC that were necessary. Wonderful job, and we would use him again!

Shawn was very friendly and walked me through the repair, its cost and took a few moments to suggest some low effort maintenence tasks that could extend the life of major systems in my home. I highly recommend.

Had the technician done a full service, it would have been better, but with the COVID-19 situation, I can understand, but it seems to me that checking the inside equipment is just as important as the outside condenser unit. Perhaps we can get the other half after this mess clears up?

This is a tremendous company to work with. I am a real estate broker and have used them several times for my clients HVAC, plumbing and sewer issues as well as work needed on my parents home. They are punctual, easy to talk to and their pricing is very reasonable for the expertise and service provided. If you are looking for a go to company in a pinch I suggest giving R-mech a try. You will not be disappointed!

R-Mech was not very usefully for me.I called them to check my AC which was running but not cooling enough. The fan on the outside unit did not run sometime. They sent technician who concluded that my system is undersized and I need new system. He charged me $49 for that.I called them to let them know I am not happy with their advise. So they sent another technician the next day. who concluded that my system is sized correctly, but I need something like energy leak study.I called another company, and the technician checked my Capacitor and found that it is bad. he replaced it, and that is fixed my problem.This was very common problem that R-Mech failed to check it. They wasted my time in 2 days where I had to take time off work to meet them.I have told both R-Mech technician that I think the fan is bad and need to be replaced. although that turns out to be wrong, it was strong indicator of the actual problem.

We needed a diagnosis of one air conditioning unit to determine if the coil was leaking and the technician was able to quickly make that determination using high quality tools for the diagnosis.

R-Mech has been fantastic to do business with since the first day they came in to reinstall a botched HVAC install from another company. Since that time I have used them exclusively to maintain the system on a biannual basis. A special shoutout to Chris who is friendly, professional, and does a great job in maintaining the HVAC.

Adam was very professional and worked quick and officiant. I have a take off shoes sign by my front door and he had shoe covers, which I really appreciated. We will be using this company again.

That company was very sales focused, refused to tell me the prices without my husband present, and the price was outrageous for a very basic setup.) R-Mech was much more honest and straight forward with their approach. They also beat all the other estimates and set us up with a much nicer system than the other companies! I felt like I could trust them, and that they will take care of us longterm.

My daughter and son-in-law needed a complete air conditioning/heating system and they used R-Mech and were so pleased they also called them to replace a hot water heater. I only had a couple of small plumbing jobs that needed to be done and was very pleased with the whole experience. I'm sure in the near future I will need a new furnace/AC system. When no one else would make a emergency house call on a Sunday in 0 degree weather R-mech didn’t hesitate to send someone. Kelly our technician was here within 30 minutes and got our heat up and running in minutes. He was knowledgeable and super friendly. They will be my first call next time!

I have had this company out several times for different services: A/C repair twice, and installation of a tankless water heater.While these items aren't my favorite to spend money on, R-Mech is always here when they say they will be with polite and professional techs.They always explain options available and discuss pricing prior to doing any work and have always been willing to provide different alternatives for saving money, etc.Will definitely be patronizing this business many times down the road.

On 6/3/22 Leonard, RMech HVAC stated one of two 2006 5 ton Trane died, both units were original to the home. Leonard called Dan for a second look and to get a bid going. Dan came out same evening, got us a bid late that night with six options and was willing to come out on Saturday or Sunday to discuss if we wanted. We elected to do a phone discussion on Monday. However, Dan did respond to any questions we had via text, to include questions regarding replacing both systems. Early Monday Dan told us the project was getting reassigned to Justin and he will be reaching out. Justin called around 7:15pm that evening, I was unable to take the call (it was after business hours), however he texted he was walking into NFM with his daughter but was open for a phone call. I found that to be very strange, so late and why call if you are busy? I called him back around 9pm. Justin stated Dan was not skilled enough to deal with the high end Trane systems so he would be handling the project. Justin began down playing the system stating this system will need a special technician to address any problems and could get very costly. He asked if I was ready for all the cost this system may intel, as if he was trying to talk us out of the system? We are not sure. He also stated the quote (price match) we received from a previous TRANE CERTIFIED DEALER was not of one that would be quality work, as that company was too small (red flag), however I would not allow too much of the smack talk, as I told Justin that technician told me the same thing went out on the system as RMech's technician and they too were a certified Trane dealer. Justin stated NOW I needed to address the zoning panels, thermostats, and a few other issues that may/may not been addressed when Leonard and Dan were physically at the house. Possibly increasing the bid $10,000 on each unit ($20,000). He wanted to come out the following day to do his own assessment, 6/7/22 at noon (12pm), although I was doubtful, I agreed. So we are now 4 days into this and have talked to 4 different people. After Justin not only insulted everyone at RMech, and insulted another Trane contractor we became very skeptical of Justin. My husband called the other contractor early morning 6/7/22 and they set up an appointment at 1pm. Noon came and went with no word from Justin, however a Mr. Jones (person #5) called around 12:15 saying Justin is not available, however he (Mr. Jones) had a lot of knowledge on Trane and will be coming out instead but would not be available until 1:00 or 2:00. The other contractor was scheduled at 1pm so I declined and said tomorrow 6/8/22 around noon. At that point I was over Justin and expressed my concern with Dan about the project and the lack of attention. Although I had not heard from Justin all day, to include rescheduling the appointment, he sent a text wanting to make sure we were on the same page? I said, no we are not on the same page. He stated I was on the books for an appointment 6/8/22 at noon and please call if I need to cancel. Justin, I am giving you more of a courtesy than you gave me. This is your notice, I am canceling our appointment for tomorrow 6/8/22 at noon. We have elected to take our money ($60,000) else where. I am sorry for Dan, I'm sure he lost money on this. My husband and I are in agreement if Dan had been left alone to handle the project we would most likely be doing business. I am still not sure what Justin's end game was but he can go play that nonsense with someone else.

Our home suffered a major plumbing issues. Don came in did an evaluation of the work to be completed. Once he began the work he was able to re-evaluate the work necessary to get us back to normal. He saved us money and hardship. We are so grateful for not only the quality of his work, but the integrity and ethical manner we were cared for in a very difficult period.

Chris came to my house on January 10th to repair my Aprilaire Humidifier -- it was not allowing water to flow through the humidifier. Chris fixed my problem by cleaning calcification out of connections. He was very friendly, professional and explained what he was doing so that I could understand the problem. I would recommend him again for a similar service call.

I was introduced to R-Mech on a very cold midnite in Jan 4 years ago because I had no heat. I had called several heating services closer to Liberty, left messages and received no response. After more failures, I reached R-Mech and someone actually answered the phone!! Without pausing after I said I had no heat, he said that he was on duty and would see me in 30 minutes. As I stated, it was miserably cold and he was working outside trying to find the problem. After about 1-1/2 hours, I had heat.The next morning @ 8:00, I received a call from the owner Brad Chirnside, asking about my customer service experience (I was and still am extremely happy) and thanking me for choosing R-Mech.From that experience, I chose to have R-Mech as my company of choice. If I had a plumbing problem (broken pipe), more HVAC issues (death of my heating/cooling system) and finally, replacement of the enire unit with a change from a heat pump to a gas furnace, R-Mech was there giving me the same great service I experienced the first time.It is now April, 2019 and R-Mech has expanded. I had a leak in my roof and needed new gutters and downspouts (with a correction to the flow) Called Chris Copley the project manager for their home improvement division and he took care of everything for me without any doubts from me that the job would be done just as I needed.Their heating, cooling, and plumbing teams are first rate in knowledge and, best of all, how to treat their clients.I highly recommend them to everyone who wants repair and construction without the aggravation we accept as norma.

Awesome service...came back at 7pm to fix the water pressure. Steve came back four more times at no additional charge to check on the hot water and clean out some of our faucets. I have never experienced a more professional and attentive plumber.

Update (9/1/20)We had R-Mech install a new a/c & furnace yesterday, they had to do some duct revision so they finished up today. The gentlemen that did the install were great! They did a top-notch job, were very professional, wore masks the entire time and without prompting were very vigilant about taking shoe covers off and on every time they went outside and then came back in; this alone says a great deal because they went in and out a lot!! We love the system they installed and were very pleased with everyone’s work from office staff to installers. Can’t recommend them highly enough. We have a friend who had the exact service done not long ago but a different (big name) company & a lesser quality system and theirs was $2000 more than what we paid! Save yourself money and headache and use R-Mech for all your heating, cooling and plumbing needs.R-Mech is a wonderful business. We’ve had them cover plumbing problems, water heater installs & today Justin did an awesome job on our air conditioning/furnace!! He called before he came over, he was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, helpful & their prices are very reasonable. My husband called for a tune up. It was scheduled over a month out. Fine, ok. Two days before we were supposed to have the tuneup occur, the company called and canceled. They rescheduled for another month out. So, It had been almost 2 months since we reached out to them. Fine whatever. And then our AC broke down. They refused to come out any sooner, and on the day the technician was supposed to come out, I was told 9 o'clock in the morning. Then I was told, 5 o'clock in the afternoon. Then I was told after 645. When I told the company how frustrated I was with their lack of ability to schedule they told me (in summary) to suck it up. Tl,dr: don't expect anything to be done urgently.

The installation went very well and the technician workmanship was outstanding. I would definitely recommend R-Mech to family and friends.

The experience using r-mech has been fantastic. Sales guys were extremely knowledgeable. An excellent experience from the call to schedule the appointment to showing up at the agreed upon time. The tech; Kyle, was also great! Experienced and knowledgeable and provided some recommendations for future updating of our bathroom.

The man who came to unclog my drain was very professional and knowledgeable. It didn’t take very long at all for him to do what he needed to do and figure out what the problem was. The company was recommended by a family member and I will definitely do the same in the future.

Street did a great job tuning-up my AC units. I have heat pumps, which many techs don't seem to really differentiate from regular units. Street took the time to check all of the components and explain what they should test at and what I should keep my eye on. In the past, other companies just blew through a checklist, that wasn't even made for heat pumps, and then blew out the there. Finally, I feel like I got a good value for a tune-up. I would recommend the service R-Mech, and Street, provided, and will use them again.

John gave a courtesy call a few minutes after the beginning arrival window and arrived within a half an hour. He was extremely respectful of personal property, the work area, and response to questions. He was thorough and I appreciated his attention to detail.

Like many people we thought that a home warranty was a good idea, after five weeks of the most frustrating exhausting experience and still not having correct equipment and installation on our air conditioner I knew we needed to call R-Mech. I’ve used R-mech for a couple years now for annual tune-ups and check ins on my HVAC system but no significant repairs or maintenance jobs. I like their servicemen and they are transparent and honest. I appreciate that. My only knock on them is they can be somewhat unreliable. There have been multiple times when they didn’t come when they said they would and we had to reschedule. Overall, I’ll keep using them unless that becomes too big of an nuisance

Have been fortunate to use R-Mech for HVAC service and installation since 2015. The technician who performed our Fall service, Jack, was excellent; thorough, professional and personable. He clearly explained and demonstrated why our existing whole-house humidification system had failed ( approx 16 years old) and was able to replace the unit while here. Very appropriate pricing.I recommend R-Mech for all your residential HVAC needs. I can't comment on their commercial services since I haven't used them for that purpose.You won't regret calling R-Mech.

We signed a water heater service agreement with R-Mech in 2016. In September 2017 THEY CALLED ME to set up my service! I've never had another provider do that! FANTASTIC. I was told my appointment was between 9-11 a.m. but Kyle arrived at the stroke of 9 a.m.! He went right to work. He was so quiet we almost forgot he was there. We've had other service providers spend their time in our home talking on their cells while they were completing the work. When he was finished, Kyle let us know that R-Mech would be calling us next fall to schedule our next service. What a great experience.

The tech's that showed up were very helpful and informative, even through our landlord decided that he wanted to be a cheapskate and not get everything fixed. We will not hesitate to call R-Mech in the future.

My kitchen sink was clogged. When Adam was on his way I got a courtesy call and text message. Adam was very professional and kind. It was a quick fix and at a good price. We purchased a deal on Dimby last year to clean and check our furnace and we assumed they did a good job. When summer came we had another company come out when our A/C did not work. I watched the service tech as he opened my furnace and we both noticed a wire that was sticking out. Because it was bent and pointing outward we knew it was purposefully taken off and not replaced. This action left my outside A/C units power off. I believe it was an action to get another service call for Spring. I called R-mech and spoke with two different managers and I also left two voicemails and two emails to the owner. The first manager (who is no longer there) was going to get us a refund but the new manager nor the owner have never returned my email or phone call. I would not recommend using R-mech for your furnace clean and check.

I could not be happier with the service - Mike H. was exceptional! He was professional and knew what he was doing. He had my furnace running in no time and showed me how to change out my filter, my husband has Alzheimer's and I need to do these things now. Price was very reasonable. Thanks so much! Tyler removed leaky water filter underneath kitchen sink. He installed a new faucet over kitchen sink. I also had Tyler install a new shower head in main bathroom. He was very pleasant and knew his craft. I will definitely use this company again.

Steven installed 2 toilets quickly and efficiently. He made sure they were working correctly and made sure to let me know to contact RMech if we had any issues.

We had 2 problems with our plumbing. The 1st one was the meter yoke needed to be changed out per the water dept. Don was able to change the yoke in a very short time without the use of heavy equipment, (like our 1st bid needed). Our water pressure was still fluctuating and he returned the next day to install a pressure regulator valve, (PRV). This time without a service call charge. On top of that, I got a senior discount, which was very helpful. In the future, I will continue to use R-Mech for all our heating and plumbing needs.Also, our service tech, Don, was very polite, knowledgeable and efficient.

The owners like to use the fact that they're ex cops everytime something doesn't go their way as if this is some sort of threat. Their prices are extremely high and the staff is rude. I do not recommend this company at all.

7/25/21The original sale (July of 2020) was quick and efficient. 11 months later , had a trane compressor failure during the heat of summer. While this is not the company’s problem it is Trane’s. I will change this post depending on the speed of repair , and weather or not I have to fight to replace the entire condenser as a unit. When you hear people say “They don’t build um like they used too” that is so very true. It replaced a 40 year old unit that never had an issue. It was replaced because it used R22 And that refrigerant has been phased out by the EPA.UPDATE: 7/26/21 R mech responded on Sunday and promised they would make it right. Monday they did just that.They provided a brand new condensing unit and had the system running by 2pm. This is excellent service given the time frame. I was very pleasantly surprised that I didn’t have to fight to get the condenser replaced. I will recommend the company to anyone who asks.

If you have a home warranty you will get very poor service. Save you self a lot of frustration and time and find a company that cares about solving your problems.Tech has did not solve any of my problems, was even condescending and told me to order the part myself and if I could not put it in he would come back and do it for me. I did not pay a for a home warranty to be told to fix the issue myself!I am updating the review, it took sometime and I felt like a lot of reluctance, but r-mech did resolve my issues with out any addition charge on my end. I appreciate the extra effort they made to resolve the items.

The technician Jack was very detailed in the service of my unit. Along with being detailed he explained to me what he was doing and what the readings meant. I was left with a full copy of the report with readings. R-Mech will definitely be getting more business from me.

I was upset about how lukewarm the water was after the water heater was installed. The owner explained why it was set to a low setting and offered to FaceTime me to show me how to adjust the settings.

We were looking to upgrade our furnace specifically before winter due to our current one being on its last end. We knew that if we packaged the furnace and a/c together (as that too needed up be upgraded) that it would be cheaper in the long run. They sent Ray out to our hectic house on a Friday evening and he took time to evaluate everything that was WRONG in our house and how they could help us. We learned of some extensive issues in our duct work in which Ray explained everything on how they could fix that too all at the same time of upgrading our equipment. When I say someone knows his stuff, Ray definitely knows his stuff. He broke down all of our options to where it was very easy to follow. If I had questions after he was quick to give me a call and explain to me.When it was demo and install day Jim and his crew showed up promptly on time and immediately got to work. Jim and his guys were beyond professional and polite. They got duct work taken out and replaced, returns installed, furnace upgraded, a/c moved and upgraded all in a 10 hr day and we are beyond happy. I think what we appreciated most is the communication and professionalism they brought. They talked to us in terms that we could understand and didn't make us feel as though we had no idea what we were talking about. We will 100% recommend here on out!

Heat pump condenser stopped working during a super cold snap. The very friendly scheduler was able to get someone out same day which was amazing because it was the Friday before Christmas. Unfortunately the problem was not resolved during the initial visit and I had to call back to schedule a return trip. I was not thrilled that the first tech left without actually fixing anything. The second visit went much better and the issue was diagnosed and subsequently fixed once the part was available. Overall I am pleased with the service we received despite the initial issue and would call again.

R Mech was able to get to my house that day and replace our whole water tank the next day. Everyone I had contact with in the office and both men they send to the house were absolutely wonderful!!

I did have a problem with the bill from this company but it was resolved in a timely manner when I brought it to their attention. Their tech was very knowledgeable and personable. Repair was done quickly and he was on time for the appointment.

Tech came out for Water heater tank flush, but explained that it could cause more problems since the tank was 12 years old and had never been serviced before. After answering all of my questions, I decided not to do the flush and just wait until the tank needs to be replaced. He was to send me quotes for replacing both the water heater and the expansion tank.

I have used other technicians in the past for tune ups and check ups. They always scare the customer for a simple issue too. Justin came in time and made me understood of things what were going on with my Heating and cooling system. He is logical and reasonable with his quotes and detailed explanation. He did a good job to our full satisfaction and gave advice for our future services and repairs when needed. He told us how to maintain the furnace and filter usage. Good work Justin 😊👍

The only negative is they didn’t show up in the time slot indicated, I had to call for a status then they ran late again so had to reschedule. Rescheduled appointment has a 4 hour window from 8am-noon. They showed up just before noon. But tech was professional and system running well. Timeliness and communication was the only issue.

RMech installed my new unit about 3 years ago and it's run spotlessly since then. Until Sunday.They were out by Tuesday, and the problem turned out to be my thermostat, not related to their workmanship at all. He could have easily tried charging for a new compressor and I would've been none the wiser. Instead, Chris spent 5 hours at my house, worked well into dinner, and brought in the necessary resources to get the problem resolved the right way. HVAC is never a fun repair, but watching the way these guys bust their tails is encouraging. They do it the right way.

R Mech installed my new system last summer. My house is more comfortable and I have lower energy bills. Justin has become my personal AC guy and I love it. No matter the problem or question, R Mech had been very responsive and reliable.

Justin provided my inspection for a water softener package. The 2 gentleman that came to install the Halo 5 and new water heater were amazing. They were on time, professional and friendly. They answered my questions and made sure all water faucets/lines were running properly. I would highly recommend this company and will be calling on them in the future if the need arises! I would highly recommend using this company for your hvac needs. These gentlemen did exactly what they told me they would do at the home show. The energy evaluation was very thorough. It determined that our unit was underpowered for our home. No high pressure sales here. There are options to choose and they explain everything fully. Install went very well. They even had an issue with a part that wasn't included. The filter holder. The manager offered up two options, get the part or build one. The built one works perfecty! They trained us on the thermostat and left everything clean. Today I got a call from the manager asking how everything was working. No other company has done that before. The unit has work fine since they left and I will use them for other services!

The service pro, Steaven B was very professional and explained any additional equipment before he gave me the final price. It took just under the time he expected to be done with the job. He had very little to clean up and my water heater looks and works great.

Replacement of water heater including wheeling in new and removing old was done in less than an hour which was great. Negative part was price gouging on replacing small section of flexible pipe last contractor used as well as an expansion tank. Parts less than 100 dollars and less than 1/2 hour to install yet they use a fixed price for each item parts/labor adding 300 to the cost. Also no clearance left between water heater and furnace yet plenty of space on right side. Was placed fully up against furnace. Installer said that was ok but I would have preferred they leave a gap especially when there is 3 feet clearance on the right side.

UPDATE: Although I did not have a great experience with R-Mech to begin with, I have been very impressed with how they have handled everything since. The President of the company, Mike, reached out to my directly, listened to my experience, and was genuinely sorry that they didn't live up to expectations. Mike discussed several options with me to make it right, and I felt happy with the outcome. I really appreciated the fact that they cared about fixing the situation, and it says a lot about them as a company.Unfortunately, I cannot recommend R-Mech Heating, Cooling & Plumbing. The receptionist was nice, they were quick to get an appointment, and the HVAC tech was nice enough. My furnace was running, and then repeatedly tripping the safety switch. R-Mech completely misdiagnosed the issue with my furnace. And the misdiagnosis required me to not only have to pay them for them for their service call, but also required me to have to pay a chimney repairman tell me my flue was NOT blocked, and he had no idea why someone (R-Mech) would have told me that. Cue to my third service call, and I finally learned my furnace has a cracked heat exchanger, a problem that wouldn't have never been solved with an issue with the flue, which was the only thing R-Mech pinpointed in their report. I did ask them if there were any other things I should be concerned with on my furnace, and they didn't know. So nearly $500 later, I at least finally know I need a new furnace. Perhaps R-Mech should spend more time diagnosing the issues. Disappointed in the service I received.

Don was fabulous! He was very kind, knowledgeable and saved us this weekend! We are eternally grateful for him and R mech! When/if we have another issue I’ll be asking for Don personally! Such a nice guy and went out of his way to accommodate us!

Today R-mech replaced a section of the main sewer line from our homes to the grinder pit, installed an additional clean-out access and back-flow preventer which was needed to preclude further problems. The service men were prompt, polite and very efficient in their completion of the job.

Our Thermostat quit working during one of the hotest days of the year. I contacted R-Mech and they made arrangements to come install a new one the next day. Wes came over, quickly and efficiently installed one. He did not leave until he knew that was the only problem, and helped me program the settings of the thermostat while he waited. The bill was less than other companies we contacted, and they had the quickest turn around time. He even suggested check-up intervals for the HVAC system so problems can be diagnosed before they get to be major costs. I am definitely going to use them again. Best service I have ever used.

I had a little rough start with the company in the beginning. However, Gary was able to completely turned my trust and confident around. After having several fail attempts with my sink, Gary was the only one that was able to go in my crawlspace and got to working hard so i can have a working sink again. Our tech today, Corey, did a great job and was very courteous, informative and quick and professional. He diagnosed the issue, did the service maintenance under the warranty and completed everything. Extremely thorough. (He had even called ahead of schedule as he had a few openings, but we couldn't had done it earlier due to a dental emergency, but we would have if not for the dental) Recommended, once they get the additional expansion tank for the water heater (installed in 2017), and we've used them for our, HV (2019) and AC (2020).

We called R-Mech out to repair our home air conditioning unit earlier this summer. They were prompt, which is why I’m giving them 2 stars. However, they told my husband that our unit had a bad TXV (expansion) valve and that it would be about $1500 to repair it. My husband was shocked by the price so he declined to proceed with the repairs and started calling around. That cost us $190 for the service call. After calling a few places we found that we could beat their price by several hundred dollars,. This was bad enough, but ultimately found that the TXV valve was not the problem at all. Instead, we had a bad circuit board which means that there would have been no way for the technician to have been able to test for the problem. No telling how much they would have ultimately charged us if we would have allowed them to repair the non-faulty valve. We replaced the circuit board and our problem was solved for a fair price with another KC area company. I will never use R-Mech again.

I absolutely love the service r-mech provides! I am not from this area and have a small network but happened upon this company and have never been disappointed. I have a much older home and so far have had them do 2 AC and 2 Furnace replacement - diff units, energy audit with with insulation installation and some clogged pipes cleared. I've shopped prices - they are highly competitive with other large companies and I will recommend their services to anyone that asks.

Kyle did an awesome job!I requested Kyle for my service 6/31/2023 to install another comfort height TOTO Drake toilet.Kyle is a Master Plumber, takes great pride in his work and is a go-to resource and mentor to other apprentice. Kyle has provided services that include installing garbage disposal, installing multiple comfort height toilets, and service for tankless water heaters, and the list goes on. I have been using R-Mech Heating and Cooling ever since 2012 and l know they provide a highly professional service. I would recommend them to everyone!

Tyler was awesome. After a pipe on the sump pump failed, he diagnosed the entire installation and found some prior installation faults. Came out the next day and reinstalled the entire thing. This is our 2nd time using R-Mech’s services. The first time was for our basement finish where they did our plumbing. Our AC stopped working overnight, so I reached out to them as soon as they were open for business. Despite this being the day after the hottest day of the year so far, they were able to get me on the list to see me today. Mike showed up approximately 1 hour before the window arrival time, after calling me to ensure that time frame was okay. Seeing as how it was 85° in my house already, I assured him that was great. He showed up, fixed the problem in no time, and didn’t gouge me when I would have happily paid more. Highly recommend their services, plumbing and now HVAC.

I had my annual AC service done. Nick came in and answered all the questions I had and even double checked a couple of issues for me. He showed me and explained why a part of the AC would need to be replaced in the near future. It was not just a take my word you need to have this replaced. When someone, like Nick, comes in and takes their time to make sure the customer is satisfied, it sure makes me want to be a repeat customer. Refreshing in this day and time! Thanks Nick!

Company arrived on time. I showed theme where everything was. They went down and replaced my air filter and took a look at a few things. I showed them were the outside unit was. I left them alone after this. about 10 minutes later they came back inside and told me that they measured 0 pounds of R22 left in my system. They stated that it had a leak and there was no coolant left. They gave me the option of paying 2000 to find and attempt to fix the leak and replace the R22 coolant. Or I could replace the AC system for about 3800. They mentioned that they had a special and could replace the furnace as well for around 5400 all at the same time. They said that they could be out the next morning to replace everything as they aren't busy with repairs at the moment. I said thank you and that I wanted to talk it over with my wife. I made a couple of calls and got a reference to another company. I paid this company to come out and service my furnace and A/C. They told me that I was just about 1 lb low on R22 and that it had plenty left in the system. He left and charged me less than 200 and said that everything is running as expected and that I don't need a whole new system. I would not recommend R-Mech to anyone after this experience.

This was my first experience with this company, R-Mech. After months of research, I found they offered me the best competitive price with the Trane system of my Choice.They installed a complete Trane Heat Pump and LP Furnace. They were all very Professional, from the Sales force to the Installers technicians and office personnel.There work was so good I decided a week later to replace the Hot water heater.Again, it was a very professional/ courteous install.They will be the company I recommend and my go to for all future work.

James Rhea serviced our tankless hot water heater. He was very knowledgeable. We have had another technician out to solve our random cold water showers and they did not fix the problem. James listened to our clues and quickly found there were wasps nesting in our fresh air intake causing the heater to shut off during high flow demand. He billed us fairly for the service and we will definitely ask for him for our next service.

R-Mech was able to get someone out to look at my furnace in just a few short hours of me calling them. Chris responded promptly and was on time. He was very knowledgeable and gave me several different options to choose from.

Jon came out to diagnose a backed up drain. He was on time, polite and courteous. He diagnosed the problem in minutes and was quick to get the drain unclogged. I am glad I called R-Mech to fix this and that Jon was the person who came to service the problem. R-Mech would be the first company I call in the future for any services they offer.

R-Mech is an amazing company with an owner who respects his customers and is willing to come out to jobs personally. R-Mech installed an AC unit in 2020 and a water heater which they discounted significantly. When the AC unit had issues this summer(2021), they replaced the entire unit at no cost even though the warranty had expired. Due to the extreme professionalism, we used them for our plumbing issue/leak and they sent someone out the day of to check on the issue. We said that we had a deadline since we are moving so they got us an estimate within 12 hours then scheduled us for repairs immediately. The company prides itself on customer satisfaction which is why we will never use any other HVAC or plumbing service.

The R Mech did an awesome job. Focused on my needs the whole time & connected with the right system at a wonderful value. No sales, just honest, professional advice. They were able to install a new furnace for me, working not the night to finish it up. If there is one call to make in KC for your heating & A/C needs this is the shop. This company was sent out by our home warranty company. The work order had two items, the main one being a huge sewage backup in our basement The technician that came to perform the tasks did not have any idea what he was doing. He told us he couldn't more than 15' into our main line, and that he'd need to come back the next day with a camera and equipment that was not covered by our warranty company. Then, he told me that I would more than likely have to take apart my deck so he could get an excavator to dig into the concrete to get to the pipe (which didn't even GO under our deck!). For no reason, he concluded that the problem was in pipes outside of the house, which would not be covered period. On top of this, he drug LITERAL sh!t UP OUR CARPETED BASEMENT STAIRS AND CAKED IT ONTO OUR KITCHEN FLOOR WITH A PIECE OF EQUIPMENT!!! Now I need a carpet cleaning!!!!!! I called another plumbing company to pay OUT OF POCKET (A-1 Sewer and Septic Service), and the technician not only respected our property, but did a simple ROOTER and OUR ISSUE IS FIXED.

I live in a condo. Charged $99 to come out for my ac to look at… called AB May for 2nd opinion. Found out Rmech looked at wrong ac unit and not mine!

The only problem I had was a worker accidentaly shaved a wire when cutting out the sheetrock that we had to repair. It wasn't a big deal as it was opened to work on and easy to repair. I am confident that had I said something to R-MECH, they would of had it repaired for us but it was an easy fix so we just took care of it. Great people, would definitely use them again!

I had a clog in the main drain that caused major back flow in the basement. I called R-Mechanical, in a panic, and they said they would send someone over right away. Within 15 minutes, Matt called and said that he was on his way to my house. I couldn’t be happier with the service! He was very friendly, professional, and after the issue was diagnosed he was able to have it fixed within an hour. 2 men came out and fixed my humidifier in fine fashion! Very satisfied!

I needed my original 90-year-old water service line replaced from the city line to my house. The original galvanized pipe was badly corroded and leaking. I got quotes from three firms for this work. The R-Mech service specialist understood the work well and explained the process to me clearly. R-Mech seemed to understand local city codes requirements better than some of the other firms. The quote from R-Mech was also reasonable in comparison to the other firms. R-Mech worked around my schedule, the holiday, and the city inspector's availability to have the project done on time. Overall I was very satisfied with the work and would hire them again.

We had an after hours call for a possible repair. Kelly did an awesome job at evaluating the issue and letting us know our options without us feeling overwhelmed or pressured. I am happy we called R-Mech and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of HVAC services.

With KC having a long list of HVAC companies to choose from, I wasn't sure whether I'd pick the best one for what I needed (duct work fabrication to run air to other rooms in home), but I am so glad I called them. All in all good interaction. They were able to get here on a night when the 5 company's we called first were unable to-due to get fact the entire town was flooding. We told them we would need someone with at least 150 foot snake. They sent someone who only had 100ft. So I don't believe they would had to have been here as long as if they had the right equipment. And aren't sure if they were able to clear the entire line-time will tell. But so far its draining- albeit somewhat slower then usual. So I'd say they earned a solid 4 stars.

Called R-mech due to our sewer line backing up. Andrew and Jesse came out. They were able to snake my line. Afterwards they ran a camera and discovered that my line was offset. Andrew showed me the video and I could see where the problem was. Instead of immediately pressuring me into an expensive fix, Andrew was honest and told me I could live with the problem short-term, but eventually the line would need to be repaired. He gave me several tips to help with the problem and went over several options to fix the problem.I was very impressed with the professionalism and service. I would highly recommend R-Mech to anyone.

I usually don't write negative reviews but my experience with R-Mech was just plain awful. Scheduled a yearly furnace check up. First off they wanted to sell me a central humidifier and when I told them that I already have one, wanted to sell me it's filter. Then tried to sell me a new thermostat even though current one is working just fine. Removed the silver tape to insert their probes and never put the tape back and left the holes uncovered. Left the HVAC filter cover away from the system so I had to put it back on. They had in stock on truck everything they wanted to sell EXCEPT the most common hvac filter which they were supposed to provide for free as part of the check up !Worst of all, they put their company stickers on my water heater as well as HVAC WITHOUT my consent.

I loved both of the technicians Jon and I forgot the other guys name that came out they were awesome and knew what they were talking about when it came to what we needed for our home. What I will say is the scheduling is a horrible process because they couldn’t get the times right and kept calling me back to reschedule times that should have already been in the system. And they had to come twice due to bringing wrong size water heater. Then tried to push me back an extra day after I was told I would be rescheduled for the next day I had to say I would ask for money off the service to get the next day service that I was promised. The left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. If I could have the same techs again I would definitely use the service again. The two of them were overall awesome . But something does need to change with the scheduling process to provide a better customer experience.

We recently moved to the KC area and received an AC tune up referral from our HOA. Jack from R-Mech let us know he was ahead of schedule and asked if starting early worked for us.When he arrived he was professional and efficient answering all of my questions. Our AC was out on one of the hottest days of the year. We called in for service and they were able to get someone out that afternoon. Chris came out and discussed what was happening. He looked inside the outdoor unit, measured the voltage, and told us what he thought was wrong; as well as how much it would be to fix if that was it. Very professionally done. We agreed to the price and he replaced it. Tested the AC after replacing the part and we once again had cold air coming out of the vents.R-Mech, and especially Chris, did a great job. We really appreciate the quick service, professional work, and reasonable prices.

Amazing service! Their employees have gone above and beyond multiple times in helping us keep our 100 year old house livable. Ray on our boiler, Kyle on our plumbing, and Michael Crow on our HVAC have really done a wonderful job, especially in responding to emergencies. One of the hottest nights of the year thus far and our AC unit went out. We needed service immediately and contacted all well known reputable companies that advertised 24/7 service. Not one of them were available or even bothered to return a phone call. In our search we came across R-Mech also highly reputable. Not only did they immediately answer upon call, but they had a technician at our house within an hour. Chris was very efficient, knowledgeable, personable, and the price was more than reasonable for an emergency situation. I will only use R-Mech in the future regardless of the urgency!

Came home to a dishwasher that had not cleaned our dishes and leaked all over the floor and ran through floorboards and duct work. They helped save the day. And also helped us get in contact with power dry a company that we highly recommend as well!

We've had to contact R-Mech a few times in the last year for various reasons. Our first visit was over a holiday weekend on an emergency visit because our floor drain was backing up and they were able to confirm they could make it out that night, in fact, they were on their way within an hour. We had a young infant sleeping and the technician was able to opt for a quieter device to clean it out. Our 2nd visit was another emergency holiday weekend unfortunately, our AC froze up. Again, they were able to confirm they would make it out that night. With a youngin, we didn't want her overheating with the summer temps, so timeliness was everything. He was able to describe what had happened, what the fix would be and what the prognosis would be. Our last two visits have been to replace our water heater and then a separate visit to fix our toilet. Jon was our technician for both of those visits and he is beyond courteous and such a trustworthy technician. Both times he has been super efficient in completing the tasks and always cares for the way things are left. He has looked out for other issues and kept us informed through each process. We are happy to have a reliable plumber in him. Overall everyone from this company has been so polite and easy to work with, from scheduling to timeliness to completion. Most of all for us as new parent with an infant, they were always respectful of her sleep, our time and keeping areas safe while working. They truly care for the customer more than any other company I've worked with. 100% recommend them!

I had several plumbing issues I asked the technician to evaluate. He was very patient and professional when I kept adding items I wanted his opinion on. He did not try to sell me on anything and offered options to address the issues I presented. The technician was one of the most polite individuals I’ve encountered. This is consistent with my experience with this company last year when they installed a hot water heater and repaired an outside spigot. Not the same technician, but absolutely the same polite professionalism!

I used R Mech last year when my water sourced heat pump was acting up. Though R Mech is a self-described expert in heat pumps, the first technician said my thermostat just needed replaced, so I was disappointed when it proved to be a misdiagnosis after purchasing and installing a new one with same issue. When they came back out to try again, it was obvious the new technician did not have experience with this type of heat pump and was struggling to interpret his own diagnostic codes, so all in all I paid $99 for no accurate diagnosis, and wasted time. Thankfully a family friend found a patch fix, but now needing my system serviced again and I don’t think I’ll be using R Mech because if they do have experts, it certainly wasn’t the people they dispatched to me last year.

R-Mech was very timely in their response (service was rendered the next day after my request!). I received a text and a phone call from the service professional, both advising me that he was on his way.My repair was a simple adjustment, which was diagnosed within minutes of examining my humidifier. The system was examined and a solution was applied. The service professional put the system through a few tests to assure the adjustment was all that was needed. He then gave the system a quick look to make sure it was operating with efficiency. Very pleased.

I did a lot of shopping around before hiring R-Mech to replace my furnace and A/C unit. They were among the most competitive bids. In fact, I had one company, Top Notch, try to sell me a similar system for 2x as much!!! Their sales guy was very knowledgeable and could answer all the questions I threw at him.Overall the crew was extremely polite and I was impressed by their level of dedication. The crew worked hard the entire time and stayed until 10:00 p.m. working through dinner to make sure my installation was completed.I would give 5-stars, but there were a variety of minor mistakes (compressor oil spilt on driveway, trash left behind, etc...) made during the installation that I addressed with the company. I felt that adequate apologies and upgrades were offered to make-up for the mistakes and they assured me they will continue to improve the crew's training.

They installed high efficiency Trane furnace/AC system they’ve been regularly maintaining it since 1/21 when it was installed. They’ve always been responsive in coming out. They are always good about answering questions. Brandon came out today and was able to get the thermostat linked to my phone as it wasn’t working . I’m so impressed how he stuck with it until it was working. He didn’t leave until it worked and it took awhile. Thank you so much for figuring it out. It made my day.

Chris Copley showed up and got to work! Within 5 min he knew I had a bad transformer. Another 5-10 min on install, and we were up and running! He checked my refrigerant, and the capacitor on the outside unit in no time and verified everything was in good shape. When you call, ask for Chris!

A/C repair was $275. Put in new capacitor. Fan was not turning. After some physical help it started, I paid the bill, ran till repairman was about 2 blocks down the street.IF I had bought a new system from them it would have come off my cost of that. I did not get a new unit through R-MECH.Estimator for new system cost; I thought he was very knowledgeable and quite helpful explaining everything as he went along. He gave a thorough estimate. Appreciate it.

Friendly, professional, knowledgeable and communicative about the issue with our water heater. He did a full inspection of the unit and was able to save us money on the repair by doing a thorough cleaning instead of replacing parts. I would recommend Nathan and R-Mech to anyone and would use them again if problems arise.

I am new to America and was unsure of what to do when my furnace broke. R-Mech was able to diagnose that not only was my furnace broken but it was leaking carbon monoxide into my house. They gave an honest price and sent Leonard to install it the same day. Leonard was professional and funny while explains how to use my new system, i never even new you could control your thermostat from your phone. My old system never sounded this quiet.

Andy was super pleasant and informative! He seemed to know his stuff and was able to replace my entire unit very very quickly! I felt safe allowing Andy in my home and like I was in good hands. I will definitely be calling Andy next time I need plumping or hvac services!

I have always had excellent service by knowledgeable and professional technicians. Last winter was the fourth time they have been to my residence on a service call. I have no knowledge or experience with HVAC systems and must rely on professionals. The technician identified the issue very quickly. He showed me how to fix it which saved me almost a thousand dollars. Great guys, great company, great owner. It’s nice to have a company that you can trust. Highly recommended. They won’t be the cheapest, but the best never are!!

I wouldn't recommend this company if you want a transparent company. I requested an itemized breakdown for the charges between parts and labor, but they refused and said they don't provide that. Obviously, I was not wanting to change the price, but instead just seeing the cost of each item to understand better. I know I ended up over paying probably by $200-300 on the labor costs, because they didn't track their hours. The office staff also have no knowledge of how the pricing structure works and instead had to refer me to the plumber both times. I was surprised they didn't have any idea and couldn't explain on their own. When the two plumbers showed up to install the water heater, one was incredibly rude. I believe the rude one was either the master plumber, or had more experience than the other. He also came off as condescending to both myself and my fiance when we asked some questions. There was no real communication until it was time for me to pay.Overall I wouldn't recommend this company if you like to see the numbers or like basic questions answered. The pricing was also pretty high, but we needed this water heater fixed quickly. The water heater installation itself seems to be of quality and it works as expected though, so they did get the job done.Editing my review due to the owners comment: regardless of if either of the plumbers are good employees, them treating customers poorly (Tyler was much better than the other plumber, which I never got the name of) is not ideal. I obviously agreed to have the work done before the came out, but that doesn't mean they were transparent in pricing. Example the lump cost of the water heater was $1400. There's no breakdown of pricing of how much the equipment is, how much labor is, what the cost of hauling away the old one is, etc. THAT'S the transparency that should be provided. They refused to break down the labor and part cost individually. I also commented above the quality of work was performed well, and my review is based on the lack of pricing transparency and lack of communication. Also updating to a one-star review based on those comments from the owner below. Using the master plumbers former military experience as a play to try to solicit a better review is dispicable.

Brad was awesome! Did a wellness check on my hvac and made excellent recommendations to make my system more efficient as well as insulation recommendations to make my house more efficient. My bills were practically cut in half after the much needed updates.

This company is top notch! I had an issue with my air conditioning not blowing as cold as it should. I called them and they were out THE NEXT DAY, AND IT WAS A HOLIDAY. Having them not only come out on time, they told me how to keep my air conditioning flowing and working great. They even let me know when they were en route. I had R-Mech out for an annual A/C tune-up on 7/11. Both Chris and Josh found that some things were apparently not adjusted correctly when the A/C was put in originally, and as a result, my system was only running 75% efficient. I'm glad to say that after getting these fixed/adjusted, my system is now running at 100% and there is a noticeable difference!. I will definitely have R-Mech out annually for my A/C and Heating tune-up and would highly recommend others to do so.Lou

The technician throughly explain ALL of the things wrong with my air conditioned and even took the time to hear my thoughts and concerns, but most importantly he was respectful and know the answers to everything I ask.

They did a repair for my neighbor. They had to dig up my front yard. They left a lage hill of dirt over 10 feet long with big roots sticking up and large rocks. They told me prior to digging they would leave my yard nice and with new grass seeded. I called twice and no one has fixed my yard . I regret letting them use my electricity for a whole day when their generator wasn't working. 09-23-21 They came out and fixed all the problems they made in my yard. I am very pleased and have changed my review.

I trust Rmech, we had them replace our hvac system wasn't the lowest bid. They explained everything in detail. Today they serviced the system and again were professional, timely and explained what was done.

The service tech was Steve and he was polite and professional. Steve explained the reason for the additional work, which made sense, so I agreed to the additional charge. He exchanged the hot water tank without any issues.

I learned of R-Mech through work they did for my employer. They were quick and efficient so I called them when I was having issues with my bathroom toilet. I was blown away by Kyle's professionalism. First he was on time! He got along really well with my dog and my birds, which is really important to me. He was really friendly, took his time explaining things to me, and not in plumber lingo but words I could actually understand. Not only did he tell me what the issues were, he showed me so I knew it wasn't just BS! He told me what he would need to do to fix it, giving me different options and working with my budget. I know plumbing repair can be expensive, but I didn't feel like Kyle was trying to up sale or overcharge on what I needed, or push me into work I didn't need. I will only use R-Mech for all of my plumbing needs!

Quick service, excellent plumber with 27 years experience came to our house and quickly diagnosed and fixed our problem. I highly recommend! And to top it all off, very reasonably priced. I've also used R-Mech for heating & cooling service. Same results, excellent service & very reasonably priced.

Everything about my interaction was positive.The office was able to quickly schedule a technician to come address our issues. The technician arrived on time, was professional, and very knowledgeable. The technician took the time to explain the issues he found and his recommendations. The technician was open about what needed to be addressed immediately and what was recommended but not urgent. At no time did I feel like I was being upsold or pressured into paying for services or repairs I didn’t need. I will be calling them again whenever I need plumbing/HVAC services in the future. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Of 4 estimates I received, R-Mech was the only company that took the time to measure the duct work, count the registers, and calculate the best system to replace our 19 year old system. The other companies just took a look at the old system then tried to sell me a unit. Brad had decided that adding a pancake box under the furnace would increase the amount of air being circulated through the house, thus increasing it's efficiency. I went from a 16x25 filter to a 20x25.The system was installed in August so I've been able to test it through 95 degree temps and below freezing. When our old AC unit kicked on, the lights flickered and the outside compressor sound was prominent inside the house. Both AC and heat from the old system would leave warm and/or cool spots throughout the house. Both would also heat/cool through a range of temps, e.g. thermo set on 72, house would cool down to 71, then heat to 73.The new system uses a 2 stage AC compressor and variable speed fan so it's difficult to tell if the unit is running (noise wise). I also leave the fan in the on position, and the unit's motor slows the fan speed way down (more efficient), but allows air to be circulated around the house which has help tremendously with the temperature differentials between the upstairs and downstairs. Furnace also has a modulating gas valve so it can run at various gas flows and fan speeds.This was not a cheap unit, but we are more than pleased with it.We also had a tank less water heater install and Brad and his crew installed all systems in the same day staying late into the evening to make sure everything was tested and to my satisfaction. They all wore covers on their shoes whenever they came into the house and everything was cleaned up and removed before they left. I would have said something if it wasn't done to my expectations and I'm sure they would have done it without question.A few days later I had some questions and Brad was there that day to answer them and make some adjustments.Very satisfied with the whole process and performance of the system.

I decided to go with R-Mech for my full HVAC system replacement because I felt they were the most thorough in their estimate, really giving me the full picture of what my options were. I wanted to switch from a highly inefficient old electric furnace to gas, which required several extra steps, but R-Mech took care of it all and made the process very easy.Everyone I dealt with from R-Mech - Ray, Leonard, Brad, Sherry, Melissa - were incredibly professional, friendly, and truly made me feel listened to and valued as a customer. This was the first time we’ve used this company. I purchased a new Rheem water heater from Home Depot and needed installation. I consider my installer to be professional, skilled, very courteous, took all Covid precautions and cleaned up everything after the installation was completed. I would use them again.

I called to setup the A/C inspection and they scheduled it from 1-5PM about a week later. The morning of the inspection I called to verify the time and they had no record of the booking. Luckily they were able to schedule it for that afternoon still. Tech called he was on his way and about 30 minutes away, however he went to the completely wrong address. After waiting another half an hour for him he arrived. He didn't bring a ladder, so he didn't inspect my interior air handler at all and didn't bring anything to clean the coils with outside so they didn't get cleaned either. He also didn't point out that I was missing the insulation on my refrigerant lines. Wasn't worth the fight at the time to contest the charge for the work not being done so I just paid the $69 and will not be using R Mech again. Then a couple days later I get an invoice in my email for a property that wasn't mine they were trying to charge me for even though I had already paid for mine. Seemed really sketchy. I immediately called and they apologized and said they would fix it. Only reason they don't get one star is everyone I talked to on the phone and the tech were very polite and professional.

He greeted me by presenting his business card, explained everything he was going to do based on the service requested, as well as safety requirements, and confirmed everything that was completed when he finished. He kept the area clean as he worked and ensured the area was left clean when he finished. I would definitely recommend R-Mech to my family and friends.

I would give 5 stars except I feel they're a little on the pricey side. For service and professionalism I give them a 10. I needed to have a new sink and garbage disposal installed and I was able to get an appointment for Saturday night with only a reasonably small upcharge. Like most service companies they gave me a window of time but our technician, John Adams, called significantly early and was able to be at my house hours before my appointment. In my case that was a blessing. John was a rockstar and I recommend asking for him when you call for an appointment. He looked at the situation, told me exactly what he planned to do and answered every silly question I asked with absolute respect. Several times he had to call me into the kitchen to show me something or explain why he was doing something and always gave me options when an addition to the service was needed. He was thorough, and cleaned up everything before he left. I couldn't be happier with the outcome of this project. In case it didn't come through with my review I heartily recommend R-Mech and especially John if you have any plumbing needs.

The tech was able to to find a simple solution to our leaking bath overflow to stop it from draining onto the basement floor which saved us over $600 another plumber quoted to replace the entire drain! We had him look at some other issues and are even having them back out to address them in the near future. Highly recommend these guys!

We purchased a Heat Pump for our home, after consulting with some of R-Mech's Technicians. It was a great option for our home and I was incredibly happy with their down to earth advice, and willingness to work within our budget to meet our needs. The installation went well, there were minor issues, but nothing that couldn't be worked around. The real trouble came about 4 months after the installation. We woke up one morning at the end of January to find that our heat had quit sometime in the night. A Technician was promptly sent out to find the issue, he diagnosed it as a bad control board, and told us that we would have to wait two weeks for the part to come in. No problem, we would deal with not having heat for a couple weeks. The part came in on time and was installed, but did not fix the issue. This lead to a game of How many parts can we throw at it. that still isn't finished. It's been 4 months, and while our system now works some of the time, we never know when or what, is going to break next. R-Mech has been mostly unhelpful, with long breaks between contact, and excuse after excuse for why a brand new system keeps breaking. The worst part is that after the initial installation went so well, I recommended them to my friends and family members for their HVAC needs. I can only hope that, if they choose to use R-Mech, they have a more traditional heating system, as it seems like the Technicians have little to no experience troubleshooting Heat Pumps.

When I called Cx Svc they were quick and professional when setting me up with an Appointment that suited my needs. The Technician called before arrival to let me know he was on his way and when he arrived he introduced himself and went over the charges to diagnose and clear the clogged kitchen sinks, which I truly appreciated knowing upfront. R-Mech installed our hvac and water heater in April 2020. They have an awesome service department that maintains our units twice a year and sends experienced techs like Michael Crow to service them. I am very pleased with R-Mech.

I had this business come out for an A/C system failure on a Monday evening. They found a bad circuit board. They told me the next morning was unlikely but they would for sure be out around noon the next day. They said I'd get a call in the morning for a quote on the part, which I did not get. When I called to follow-up, I was told they were booked and would not get in until the next day. Absolutely unacceptable to bait and switch, considering my AC system is out on an extremely hot day. Very, very poor communication. Really a shame because we had a good experience with their first visit.

Needed replacement hot water heater. Decided on tankless. Didn't realize costs were so high, but they were reasonable compared to others. Decided to replace furnace as it's actually made for mobile home. During that found out coil was caked with debris so we talked about getting a newer, high efficiency AC, also. We talked about pros/cons with each option without any pressure. Would recommend to others. We actually met on Friday before Christmas. They had technician out Christmas Eve to do final lookover and started install day after Christmas. During furnace install is when they found coil issue, but got parts in that day to finish it

First class customer service throughout the process. Service person was on time, very knowledgeable and personable, diagnosed the problem and quickly fixed - all this without trying to upsell or say other issues needed to be fixed.By far the best experience I have had with HVAC issues. Tech unclogged toilet and very next time it was used it wouldn’t flush again!!! Total waste of money! I felt main line should of been cleaned out, but he was done in 5 minutes & out with the money! Now gotta hire someone to come and clean the main line out I suppose!

The tech Chris M. came out when schedule and worked on my air conditioner until they figured out the problem. They explained every thing they were doing and had to special order the fan blades. Your latest tech started by furnace, which I could not do because the the techs that installed the furnace on May 31, 2022 did not open the gas feed to the furnace when the were with the job. The latest tech knew what he was doing and said I needed a few other things done to completed the installation work done on May 31, 2022. I hope he follows up.

CHANGE REVIEW: I'm changing it to 5 stars.. I spoke with the tech and he told me to change it to emergency heat, I did that once the temperature reached 72 I turned off emergency heat and it's now pushing warm air.. all is good.. the tech was very knowledgeable.

What my husband understood from the tech (Jessica) who was here said sounded like there was an an installation problem from 2 years ago. Faulty valve stems. I'm tried of having to pay so much for my air conditioner every 2 years. You were supposed to fix that when we did the whole system (from AC outside to Furnace inside, and insulation in the attic, etc, for $12000). If that was the case (installation of faulty valve stems) we shouldn't have had to pay $300 for all the Freon that leaked out from those faulty valve stems. Yet we did. $500 you charged us. And we'll have to pay for labor when you replace them. That's really not fair. I liked R-Mech and was willing to recommend them. Now I'm not so sure.R-Mech called us back and has gone out of their way to make this situation better for us. I love good customer service and I would gladly recommend R-Mech to anyone. And let me be clear, we were not criticizing Jessica or her work here. She was competent and courteous and we have no complaints about her visit.

We had an active leak this morning and the tech even back verified the ceiling was wet. However he could not find the source of the leak while here which was disappointing. I booked two hose spigots to be replaced through R-Mech. When I was contacted for an appointment, I was given an option of 5-8PM. This was perfect for me, so I chose that. At 4:30 PM, I was contacted and told that the tech would not be able to come by that evening. I was rescheduled for about 2 weeks later.Again, at 4:00PM that day, I was called asking if I could reschedule again. I rescheduled for 2 weeks later for a morning appointment. Although they book in 4 hour increments, I was told that I could be 1st on the schedule, around 8AM. I called at 7:30AM to confirm someone would be out, and I was told I was on the schedule for 5PM, but that technician doesn't even work evenings, so I'd have to reschedule (again). Unfortunately, I had to cancel my request for their services, as they were not able to show up when they agreed to. Not once, but THREE TIMES!

Very pleased with the quick response and service. Gary quickly diagnosed the issues with my hot water tank and disposal and was on the phone with the home warranty company within minutes. As you might expect, the warranty company challenged the diagnosis but was no match for Gary’s convincing demeanor. Great job!

No A/C was blowing inside my house, called R-Mech and they sent Chris out and he quickly diagnosed what was going on which the blower motor in my furnace had failed. They had the replacement available on the truck and got me back up and running in about an hour or so. Great customer service and Chris did a great job quickly resolving the problem. Pricing was reasonable in my opinion and I definitely would call R-Mech again!

Installed a brand new AC and it is defective and can't get RMech to communicate with me on resolution.

Our AC went out in the middle of July on one of the hottest days of the year. R-Mech took my call at 6:30PM and had someone out to my house by 7:30PM. I had made a call to one of the most recognizable Heating/Cooling companies in KC only to be told they had no idea when they would be out. NOT Helpful.The technician showed up and began to troubleshoot our system. He began to diagnose our issues and determined that we needed a new condensing unit. He then proceeded to check out my entire system and made suggestions on how to upgrade everything to a more efficient system. He gave low, middle and high priced options. I never once felt like I was being sold but more consulted on my options. After all that I learned that the tech who was helping was actually the owner, Brad. I was shocked that the owner was out making house calls at 7:30PM at night. He even went as far as telling me to text him with any issues or questions. Above and beyond in my mind.At the end of the day I could not recommend R-Mech more. Professional and highly responsive. A local company making a huge impact for customers and their employees.

Brad explained that this “fix” was temporary as the system was 20 years old and the A-coil had developed a leak. After discussing replacement of our 20 year old system, we decided to order a Trane 5-ton, 2-stage unit. A preliminary audit of our duct/air exchange system was done by Justin to assure it was adequate to handle our cooling needs and allow the Trane system to perform efficiently . A team of 4 workers wearing protective gear (masks/gloves) and shoe coverings installed the new system. All were very professional, polite, and kept us informed as the work progressed. Leonard walked us through setting up the communications component with our smart phones and smart home system. The area was thoroughly cleaned after the install. The new Trane system works perfectly, is quiet, and has made a huge difference in the comfort and feel of the air in our home. We look forward to benefiting from the high efficiency of this new unit, knowing the savings from the 2-stage system will pay for itself. We highly recommend using R-Mech to meet your HVAC needs. The exceptional value, professional service from workers who take pride in their work from start to finish, and the immediate response to our call was incomparable.

Updated.......Justin is no longer a service tech as he was promoted. I don't use them anymore because the last tech wanted to charge me $1300 to install a remote thermostat to control a duct booster fan. I found a $30 remote controlled switch on Amazon that has been doing the job for two years now.Old review: I would highly recommend R-Mech to anyone. I was concerned from stories I've heard about people being sold furnaces they really didn't need. I was looking for a company I could trust to check all four of my furnaces at three different locations, knowing three of them were about 20 years old. I found what I needed in R-Mech and their Tech Justin Munsterman. Justin was totally professional, thorough and honest with me. He said the units were very clean for their age and should last a few more years. Thanks Justin!!

The check was very thorough and they explained best practices with the system I had.I had a question about the operation of my system (which has an electronic tablet as a controller) and they not only showed me how to select my preferred programming, but they explained the expected operation of the system by making this change. Very pleased with the service I've received. We had them out earlier this year for a AC checkup. We had a bad storm last week and apparently something in the AC was fried. I called R-Mech back and they were here in about 30 minutes, and the AC was back on within minutes. I'm very impressed and glad I found them.

Jon worked to minimize the teardown of the built-in book shelf / entertainment space to reach the burst pipe we had from a freezing hose bib. I felt the installation of new faucet, pipe and joint with existing PEX was of good quality. Also appreciated their responsiveness as we were without water until this repair was made. I received an appointment the same day I called for service.

Jack came to check on my furnace that was not heating. A thorough inspection and cleaning of the ignition switch seemed to do the trick. He was very professional in fixing the problem. The furnace was bought and installed by R-Mech orignally about two years ago. I have had good service for several years for HVAC and plumbing needs.

Michael came to our new home late Friday evening and stayed for a couple of hours diagnosing what the problem was and how to correct it. Never during the process did he seem in a rush to leave or seem disinterested in making sure the job was done right. After correcting the issue he made it a point to review what was found, how he corrected it and how to avoid this issue in the future. I would definitely rate Michael and his service as first class!

I have know the owner for decades and the company has done repairs and installed a new HVAC system 2 years ago on my home.. They worked in 105 degree temperatures to remove and replace all of my equipment with even the bosses helping on the jobs. Without a doubt the company puts their customer's satisfaction at the highest level and completes the work in a timely manner... If you need and want a company to treat you with respect and honesty, then R-Mech is who you need to call... Plus, the prices will no doubt be comparable or even lower than most all of the other local companies.

Call Leah ride on time quickly troubleshoot the problem with my air conditioner gave me a reasonable quote to repair. He went and got parts and repaired it within a couple hours and this is the first time I haven't been sweating in a week thanks for the repair and I got a veteran's discount!

I had paid for an outside faucet replacement, but the plumber, Kyle, couldn't do that because of a finished basement. He suggested a parts replacement; even had the parts on his van. This fixed the leak. Kyle was very experienced, and helpful.

Patrick was great! He tried really hard to get my AC unit going and offered me tips to try to keep it working until summer was over. No such luck, so Justin came out to give me an estimate on a new furnace and AC. He was great as well! He explained which units were best and what each units manufacturer covered and the different efficiencies and what the best filters to use were. He gave me options that I didn’t think I would have and it helped so much! Renaldo and Carlos came over to install the new furnace and AC and did it all before I had to go to work. I had R-Mech install my HVAC system, and it came with a year of complementary bi-annual system check-ups. Every time I’ve had a service person in my house, they have been nothing short of considerate and professional. They are mindful of my pets, my time, and my carpet (always wearing those little booties).I ended up renewing my HVAC tune-up contract after the freebies expired, which saved me money on the service fee when I idiotically caused a fuse to blow on my A/C while clearing weeds around it. Justin showed me exactly what I did wrong and how to prevent it in the future, and didn’t make me feel like a dummy.I know they do a ton of other home services, and I anticipate using them for whatever else pops up. The employees are really what makes this company great to work with.

I contacted R Mech via phone on a Wednesday morning after trying to clear a clogged drain in our kitchen on Tuesday evening. The person I spoke with (Sherry?) was friendly and polite. She explained that they were booked for Wednesday during service hours, but could offer after-hours service at a higher rate or service on Thursday first thing for their normal rates. I requested service for Thursday and was scheduled for a service call between 9-11 AM. I received a call from Drew around 0850 to say he would be at our house in about 20 minutes. He arrived on time, explained what he would do and the pricing for the service call, then was able to get to work quickly on resolving the issue. Drew was polite and professional during his work. He was able to resolve the issue with our blocked drain, thoroughly cleaned up after himself and left everything (except the clogged drain) exactly as he found it. I've tried to be my own plumber in the past and this was a far better experience. Thanks very much to Drew and the rest of the R Mech staff for all of the help!

Hydronic heating makes it difficult to find good technicians for service and repairs. I’ve tried two other big companies, and either the qualified techs moved on or the company had major issues, slow response, inability to find replacement parts in a timely manner, and poor customer service. So far, R-Mech has been on top of their game, I’m sitting in a warm house with a new circulating pump, which not counting the weekend, took them less than 48 hours to get the part and install it. These parts are not something a company would stock, so I call that a great turn around time, especially since another company couldn’t find one for a week, even though I found one on Amazon in about 1 minute! I hope my tech doesn’t leave, as it’s easy to find the company, but not the qualified tech for my equipment, thanks, R-Mech, so far, so good!

Great experience. Junior was my installer. Very efficient, professional and polite. He wore a mask and shoe covers. Explained the process of installing the water heater, how to use it and service it in the future. Junior checked the faucets in the kitchen to make sure there was no calcium deposit from after the new heater was installed. I am impressed. 5 stars.

I had a difficult and frustrating experience using this company to unclog my kitchen sink line. They came to my house three times and never got it unclogged and are telling me I need to replace the whole pipe down to the ground for 3K without even doing a camera inspection to see what the problem is. That might be true but I will definitely be getting other opinions. Their “camera guy” said he couldn’t put a camera down my line because his camera wasn’t long enough. But there wasn’t communication about this between him and the techs so the techs came back and tried to snake out my line and got their machine stuck and the manager had to come and help them get it out which took several hours and also disturbed my basement tenant who was home sick. Then the camera guy Sean apparently was lying by telling the manager he tried to put a camera down my line but couldn’t because there was too much sludge (not true at all, he was here maybe 5 minutes and didn’t even bring a camera in with him). He also told me he’s a “master plumber” which the other two guys said isn’t true. Anyways I can only hope they didn’t damage my line too much by sticking their machine down and not knowing what the issue is. I would not recommend this company for plumbing issues unless they make some changes by hiring more honest employees. I will say the two technicians who came out the first and last time seemed fairly kind and honest and I appreciated their communication with me.I have also used this company several times for HVAC issues and it’s always been great for that.

Even though I didn't end up utilizing R-mech, I just wanted to stress that their techs and sales people are honest and have high integrity. They made me aware of some issues I didn't even consider where they could have taken advantage of me. Thank you!

They did have to come back out because of discrepancies in city code book. However, the second individual was courteous, had mask (covid-19) on at the door, shoe covers, and made the modification to correct and meet the city inspector codes.

Spent the better part of the day yesterday with Chris while he was servicing three AC units for me. I could not be more pleased with his service and professionalism. Don and his team solved a sewer gas smell we had in our house. 3 other plumbers failed to fix it, Don isolated and solved it in less than hour. He was even early for the appointment. He mentioned he had 20+ years experience, I believe it because it was reflected by his knowledge and expertise. We recently had our furnaces serviced and our technician, Chris Marshment, was polite, courteous, on time, and never once tried to up sell. We did have some parts that were showing wear and could possibly cause the system to work harder. We opted to replace those parts. He was fast and didn’t leave a mess. I most likely would have given them 5 star if it wasn’t for the outrageous price they charged me. I paid $759.00 for the technician to tell me everything was working well but it needed freon, he suspected that it may have a leak, so he injected the system with uv injection to determine if there’s a leak.I would not recommend this company and if you decide to call on them ask how much it will cost you per hour, do yourself a favor and stay away. I think that price is outrageous and can’t believe they would take advantage of seniors this way. Shame on you!

R-Mech has been our go-to preventative maintenance/service company for our furnace and AC for several years and they have always been consistently over the top on their customer service. Just last week, they installed a brand new furnace and AC and there are not enough words in the dictionary to express how impressed we are with the system, but more so with the people! The sales process with Justin was easy, no pressure and communication was great. On the day of the install, the techs Carlos and Reynaldo showed up exactly when they said they would and got right to work. Their work was impeccable, I mean the furnace is legitimately pretty to look at now, everything is so nice and tidy. Their professionalism, attention to detail and kindness exceeded our expectations. I cannot give a higher recommendation for R-Mech and their stellar team!

We have been using R-Mech for a couple years now, and every experience & encounter with any of them has always been great. We have had them out for so many situations : ac/heater checks, plumbing issues and changing out toilets, sump pump replacement, hot water heater, and more. Needless to say, we have met several of their employees. Everyone has always been courteous, patient, kind and great at their jobs. Don has come to our house for several different plumbing issues and we are always delighted he's the one answering our call. He has always taken great care of us and can take a frustrating situation and make it better. We will always use R-Mech for our home needs.

We received a bid for a new water heater. When the tech came to install it turned out we needed an additional part. The company honored the original quote. The tech went above and beyond to get the job done in a timely fashion. He even had to make a second trip to their office and came back to make sure it was completed the same day. I am very happy with this company and the service provided.

Chris was right on time for our service. As in previous service calls, he was very professional and efficient. He thoroughly explained the status of our current HVAC system but without pressure to sell additional services or equipment. Have been extremely happy with R-Mech.

We needed an after hours plumber for a stopped up toilet. From the time he walked in the door, he was on the phone (loud speakerphone too)! He used a snake on the toilet and the whole while talking to someone about home insurance. When he was done, our toilet was so scratched up that our 5 yr old was afraid to use it because it looked scary!! We've had plumbers use snakes before on our toilet but NEVER ONCE has it looked so horrible when they were done!! I thought out was just gunk pulled up being worked on so i immediately used the scrub brush and cleaned it and that did nothing!!! We had people over the next night and that toilet was so gross and embarrassing looking!! I calked R-Mech Friday (next day!) and she said the head guy woould call me that day or Monday but she was stumped. Well I've never heard from them (figures!!) And my toilet will most likely need replaced! I don't know of it was because the giy was sode tracked being on the phone the ENTIRE time or what but I would suggest going somewhere else..unless you don't care if your stuff comes out looking way worse than it did!!!

Very happy with the service I called them for emrengcy repair after hours mr corwin had rep call me with in 20 min to let me know he had a tech on the way he was very professional and knowledgeable of how to take care of my problem he also adjusted the air flow to each one of are bedroom s this company is top notch I will definitely reach out to my customers let them know to use R - mech heating thank you !!

We had an emergency sewer issue on a late Sunday. After a frantic weekend search we found R-Mech. They were extremely responsive and understood the pressure we were under.Don Paxton arrived in a very timely manner and was such a professional. He took the extra time to not only diagnose the issue but also provided education and solutions.This was not a pleasant situation but we felt relieved that this company was there and did not try to take advantage of what we were going through, especially for an after-hours call.Definitely will use them again in the future.

Our main bathroom bath tub / shower experienced an obstruction in the mixer valve and wouldn’t allow us to use it.Jordan our Tech arrived and diagnosed the issue and provided us with a few options to consider. He did a great job and is a friendly and knowledgeable professional who fixed our problem.

Had a sewer that was backed up. Meant to call another company but dialed R-Mech's number as I wasn't paying full attention to what I was doing. When they answered I decided to go with it since the person that answered the phone was courteous and was able to help. They dispatched a technician within a few hours and tech arrived as promised. I was kept informed by their text system. When the Tech was done and had completed the work, called me and gave me a report. Tech was all business. Price was as promised on the phone and I was e-mailed a receipt. I'm real happy with the work that was completed and their communication. I would use them again without hesitation. I love it when things work out better than planned.
