Tom was friendly, communicative, and took the time to answer all our questions. He clearly laid out the different options available and how the pricing would be affected depending on what kind of problem was found. The person who scheduled/confirmed the appointment over the phone was also friendly and professional.

Starting with calling the front office to make an appointment, to the finished job, you'll understand immediately that you're dealing with a group of honest and professional people.This is not my first experience with the Hoffmann’s but my first review. My prior experience with them was in the middle of the 2018 ice storm.After lots of messages to NickDolinik Heating and Cooling I contracted with who would not even return my calls for service for three days when my system went out. I called Robert and he had a tech in my place within an hour or so and got my system back on. The Hoffmann’s came to my rescue.I talked to the tech about other concerns that he addressed clearly and didn't try to sell me on anything. I asked for a bid and he suggested I get a second opinion also. I also needed a replacement humidifier, and Doug installed one for me.I was considering replacing our HVAC system and I called Robert again. He came by on time and actually discouraged me from getting a new system telling me the system still has plenty of years to go. He had a chance to install a new system for me and he didn't prey on my concern to sell me a new system; this speaks a lot about their integrity and concern about their customer's pocket book also.He said to get a new water heater though, and gave me options on what's available. He didn't try to sell me on a particular one or go with them. After checking on a few systems, I went with the one he recommended. He set up the appointment for the next day at 8:00AM.Tom, the installer was at my door at 8:00AM on the dot. He's definitely a pro. I chatted with him throughout the whole time and he was gracious answering all my questions and concern.Not only did Tom finish the installation on time, he left the place cleaner than it was, and I am a super clean guy. I think he created a work of art in the process; see attached photos.The front office called after installation to follow up and scheduled a required city inspection for me. They called back again after inspection to follow up to make sure I was satisfied with the whole process. Their customer service is exceptional.The Hoffmann Brothers are very transparent in their dealings, and they actually encourage you to compare prices with other outfits. You pay what they quote with no surprise surcharges. No sales pressure or recommendation to change anything that’s not needed.You get the best customer service and workmanship from the Hoffmann Brothers, and I highly recommend them. Keep up the good work.

Our hot water tank was leaking. We called Hoffmann as they had fixed a garbage disposal for us previously. The tech, Clayton, showed where the tank was leaking and explained replacement was the only option. He was able to remove the 8 year old tank, and install a new one in about 3 hours! Clayton was personable, as well as skilled, would ask for him again.

Our service technician was extremely knowledgeable and professional. We would highly recommend Hoffman for your HVAC and plumbing needs.

We’ve used Hoffman for almost all our household service calls- plumbing, electrical, HVAC and appliance. We’ve always been super happy with the work and the service is fantastic from the initial call to to the completed work.This time Justin fixed a leaky toilet for us. Same day service. New bolts, wax ring and line. He even silicone sealed the base.Our 16 yo nonverbal autistic son was very interested in what he was doing, and Justin was super patient with him and super nice.Super recommend Hoffman- get the service plan.

Nick Noble is awesome! He arrived promptly to the appointment. He provided a quote for replacing our water heater. In addition, he inspected an issue with our shower. It was making a whistle noise. We previously had another plumbing company diagnose the issue, but I had a hunch it wasn’t right. I’m extremely grateful Nick took the time to TRULY determine what the issue was and he fixed the problem! Our shower has been giving us problems off and on since Jan. 2022! I’m beyond excited that this issue is now fixed. Thank you Nick! I look forward to having you replace our water heater, as I am confident you’ll do it to code.

We had an old hot water heater removed and a new one installed. Justin did an awesome job. He was prompt, courteous, professional and did a wonderful job at articulating how our new water heater works so we would feel comfortable performing maintenance or shutting off the tank in case of a leak or emergency. He made sure we were happy and comfortable with the work completed before he left the house. His level of service and the ease in which we could talk to him and ask questions made me confident that we chose the right company!

Tyler was awesome. He was on-time, smiling all morning and seemed genuinely happy even early in the morning. He replaced our condenser pump and went out of his way to explain the process and tips on how to keep it running well. We have used Hoffmannn Bros several times and got us out of a jam when our heater went out in sub zero degree weather. Would absolutely recommend this company.

Had significant problem but Hoffmann Brothers went above and beyond in supporting fixing the problem. Mike Lallis was an expert, fully communicated and stayed w us until the problem was fixed. Employees like Mike are the reason this company is outstanding.

This was my first experience with Hoffmann Brothers. It was superior from the beginning! I contacted them online via a web form and they promptly contacted me via email, on a Saturday, to let me know that they got my request. I had an AC fix request and electrical. They booked both on the same call. Now - Kyle C. was just amazing - he showed up precisely at 7 AM, talked about the work he was doing (I was having pipes reinsulated due to outdoor critters/weather damage). Explained a bit about the Home Protection Plan which I signed on for. While he was here, he offered to to the furnace maintenance for my two units which saved me from having to take another day off from work! He patiently answered every question I had about the work performed, explained everything about the items on the bill and then kindly told me a bit about the company, the owners, and more since I was a new customer. I really appreciate persons like Kyle who are great at their work and also superior ambassadors for a company he clearly believes in. I look forward to doing business with this company into the future based on my first, very good experience.

The Hoffman company were terrific. They installed an air conditioner, a furnace all in about an eight hour period or less. they were clean, efficient, personable, and very kind. I definitely would use them again, but I hope not for a long time to come.

We can't speak highly enough of Jameson! He had a long and gruelling job to do, and he did it effectively and with unfailing courtesy over some long hours. He was absolutely professional. He gave us a clear estimate of costs and carefully described to us what was wrong with our pipes, so that everything was completely transparent. In fact, he was a pleasure to have around (not always the case, sadly!) and we're happy to be working with him further!

Rick was very nice, well presented and knowledgeable.He arrived without the replacement air filter so we were delayed till he could go back to the warehouse to get one.I informed him that my outdoor thermostat reading was incorrect and was informed that my new $7000 heat pump didn’t have an outdoor temperature reader so even though the thermostat has it on the display screen it is not correct.. Rick told me we could add one at my expense -$500?I’d like to hear that he would look into it and see what my options are other than being told I don’t really need it .When he left the thermostat was left in the cooling mode and not turned back to the heating mode (it is currently 44 degrees) .I’m finding Hoffman has knowledgeable people but in the last few years the service has gotten worse and worse -trying to do too much ??Also, as new equipment is installed it should all be done correctly (I heard from one of my Hoffman installers that the previous equipment was installed incorrectly by Hoffman ) was told today that the UV light is old school and an airScrubber would be better.This unit is new from last summer and I would expect much, much more for what this is costing me

Very friendly and knowledgeable. Successfully completed the repair and we again have A/C on the hottest day of the year…so far. So happy with the service, signed up for maintenance program.

The technician who provided my home service was on time, explained what he was doing and answer all of my questions. Provided information regarding recommendations for scheduling my next service. He was very observant and provided information regarding the glass being broken out on my car and neighbors car. We were ver grateful as we didn’t know the vandalism had occurred.

The Hoffman team called early to let me know the status of my request for my heating system maintenance. Within the hour Scott called and gave me his estimated time of arrival. He was on time and took care of the furnace tune up and repair of my humidifier. He found that it was wired incorrectly and fixed the issue. He also recommended duct cleaning for my home. He was knowledgeable, polite and friendly. Thank you Hoffman for excellent customer service.

I have used Hoffman Brothers several times for various appliance and plumbing repairs. I have been 100% satisfied with their products, professionalism, and service. I prefer to let someone else take the first appointment for the day, so they keep me updated on where I am on their job list. Text updates are efficient.This time, Nick troubleshot my toilet flush problem and replaced parts expeditiously. I will use their services again.

James came through again for me. I can always count on him to help with my water issues. He always goes the extra step. And he did again.James is the best. He listens and finds ways to some of my unique water concerns. He always seems to find the answer.James is terrific. He listened to a health concern I have with certain bacteria in water and did research that resulted in finding and installing filtration systems that should help eliminate the bacteria from water. Following some storms over July 4th weekend, I was without power. Once power was restored, my A/C was not working. I called Hoffman Brothers to repair it. Scott showed up on time, diagnosed the issue quickly, and had my A/C running again in no time.

Had to replace a toilet, and got it done in just a couple of hours. Super friendly, professional, and helpful service. I will definitely use them the next time I have any plumbing issues.

James McAdams change our bath faucet on August 4th. he was suppose to leave us the old faucet that was fully functional.my wife realized that he took the old faucet an hour after he left and she called Hoffmann support. the support rep. has contacted James and told my wife that they will return the old faucet by the end of the day.James never returned the faucet and me and my wife has called Hoffmann about five times already. They promised that a costumer relation supervisor will get back to up on every call but no one got back to us, and no one cares that our faucet have been stolen.we have paid almost a thousand dollars to replace this faucet which is a bit overpriced, but we thought that it is worth it because Hoffman Brothers has good reputation, but apparently we were wrong. we are still waiting for someone to get back to us or we will have to take it to court. very disappointed.

The team was very professional. They ended up replacing 2 bathroom sink faucets, a Roman tub faucet and changing out the shower faucet finish.
They communicated everything well and finished the job in a timely fashion. They also cleaned up and removed all debris and old parts. Great job!

My hvac system needs replaced and I have been working to get bids. One co came and the prices were just off the charts! So when I called Hoffmann to see about them coming, I was very off put when asked “are you doing this by yourself or will someone else be there”. I’m a nice gal, but cannot recommend any stronger to please take that out of your questions when someone is trying to book an appt. I nicely but directly inquired why I was asked that. Considering the day before I had a service person from another outfit clearly trying to take advantage which I didn’t let happen, I didn’t like that. Here now I have another business whose office staff are trained to ask this female caller if basically “will a man be here”. I went ahead and a scheduled an estimate for today but ended up canceling solely due to the poor taste in my mouth when asked who would be here. Kind of creepy actually. Stop asking people that. You’ve lost a potential customer bc of it. The explanation I was given very awkwardly was “it’s a complicated process and we want to make sure customers understand details. I’m an educated RN. May not be hvac saavy but I knew enough to not pursue this.

The service technician Clayton was very professional, courteous and genuinely interested in the system performance issues we were experiencing. Clayton spent over 2 hours assessing our service issue. The side of the property is a wind tunnel. The winds can be so strong that it is hard to stand up erect when there is a storm. The wind blows down the hot water heater exhaust stack blowing out the pilot light. Although Clayton was not able to solve the problem, he made several recommendations for us to consider. He contacted several different technicians at Hoffmann to see if they could easily solve the issue. I recommend Hoffmann for your HVAC requirements. Thank you Clayton for also spending the time to explain everything.

Jesse from Hoffmann Brothers has been out to our place a couple times. One was for a repair, and once for maintenance and to install an air scrubber on furnaces. He is great! Always very polite, super informative and takes his time to explain everything. Very happy with the service!

Jesse was super helpful and careful and explained what to expect at every step. He was great. It’s too soon to say if the water heater is working properly as it’s still heating up, so I can’t comment on the quality of the product or installation at this point. You might prompt for feedback a few days after the service is done so customers have time to live with it and offer a fairer evaluation. But the experience so far has been great.

Steve was great. Work was fast, no service fees. Prices up front. Great pricing. Compare to others, I have and Hoffman is now my “go to” for drain snaking now.

I usually do not write reviews but in this case, Zach (technician) did an excellent job in explaining every single detail about my water heater issue which was fairly complex. He discussed many options in order to obtain the best result. He even called me back after he left to discuss another idea to narrow down the problem. I’ve had many service technicians for repairs but Zach was by far the best. Also, there was absolutely no sales pressure for services. If you use Hoffman Brothers ask for Zach-you will not be disappointed.

As a first time homebuyer, I was a nervous wreck when I woke up to find my AC unit not working properly. Thanks to a family friend, I was referred to Hoffman Brothers and Kevin Gobble was able to make it to my house within less than 2 hours! Kevin was not only very professional but also honest, kind, and laid out all my options. Explained in detail about what exactly was going on so I could better prepare for/prevent future issues. I called at 8 am today, 8/22/23 about our primary toilet flange that was broken. They showed up the same day (within a few hours). Xavier Buscato put on shoe covers before coming into our home, fully assessed everything, made suggestions, quoted us and explained the quote and how the job would be completed, then did the job professionally in a short period of time and fully tested for leaks. He cleaned up the work area and wiped everything down. Everything is back looking and working perfectly again. He asked if there were any questions or anything else he could do before closing out the job. Very nice and professional across the board. So glad I called Hoffman Brothers. I will definitely use them for all of my plumbing needs going forward.

We had our Water Heater replaced by Hoffmann Brothers. Justin was very knowledgeable and thorough in his examination of our then current water heater and recommended a replacement. While Hoffmann was not the cheapest option, we're thrilled with the installation and feel the extra money was worth it. The install looks amazing and Justin obviously takes pride in his work. The installation looks amazing and works perfectly. There are cheaper options, but I'm confident we got what we paid for with Hoffmann Brothers.

Jeff Crawford was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I told Hoffman what was wrong and gave them part numbers too. Jeff had ALL parts when he arrived, saving me time and money. He replaced a Toto Fill Valve, water valve on wall and installed an easy shut-off valve in basement. I did not receive the flapper though invoice shows I did. Total charges $953.00.

Steven Dudley was a pleasure to have as our installer. He and his assistant Ryan made the installation of our second floor & attic HVAC system as unobtrusive as possible. I was told that I needed a new thermostat. I just replaced the thermostat in January and he said he couldn’t make a diagnosis until the thermostat was replaced. My landlord spoke to someone at the office who said the new thermostat would be 500.00. A friend of the family came over that night and cleaned off the outside of the a/c and my air works great! So, I’m not sure that he knows what he’s doing Ms trying to charge a single teacher 500.00 for something that wasn’t necessary is robbery. I’ll make sure I give my reviews and I’m really disappointed.

The guys who came to work on my sewer issue were personable and competent. They came to my home, introduced themselves and got right to work. They explained almost everything they did. They explained everything else that needed to be taken care of. I appreciated them.

My air conditioning was not running very well on one of the hottest days of the year. I called about 8 o’clock in the evening and they came out the next day. They had my AC running again, and I am currently sitting in a cool home.

I want to like Hoffman but the communication is miserable. Explicitly made three appointments: one for an inspection of an AC for removal, one to remove it, and one to put it back. Long story short, they only made the first one, and because I didnt call to confirm I wanted to continue, cancelled the other two. No warning, no ask. Imagine my surprise when the day before my foundation work begins, I find out Hoffman left me out to dry. I guess if youre gonna use them, learn from my mistake.Edit: Hoffman got back to me and was able to meet my timeline. They were very nice even though I was quite frustrated. Chris from Hoffmann went above and beyond to serve us well throughout our sewer saga. He and his team kept trouble-shooting to come up with the best solutions possible at every step of the way, found a few smart short-cuts to save us money, and fixed our entire system correctly rather that settling for solutions that would have left us with more problems to deal with in the future (as other companies might, and actually have, done). Chris (and others) patiently answered all our questions, and explained problems and solutions thoroughly. They were prompt, professional, cleaned up the worksite along the way, and even did a few extra things to serve us, like patching crumbling cement stairs. When unexpected rain interfered with one day's work, they proceeded with great attitudes, and stayed quite late to make sure they left things in good shape. When more unexpected rain came while work was paused over the weekend, Chris came out to do extra work to ensure a temporary solution to keep the basement dry until the project could be completed. We will gladly recommend Hoffmann Brothers to all our friends, family, and neighbors! They do great work with tremendous care for their customers.

Nick was great! The sink is in my mom’s bathroom and we had no idea what was causing the leak. Nick explained everything to us that he was doing to isolate the problem and what each issue would cost. They are one of the few providers that work with the type of boiler system we have and I felt like they truly are experts With this type of machinery. Our scheduling process was easy and they were very friendly over the phone. Overall our experience was well worth using them.

The company provided a plumbing technician as soon as I needed and he came sooner than expected time. The technician is very professional with his assessment of the plumbing problem and took the time to draw up some viable options for solutions (i.e. repair or rebuild?), including payment financing options. I'm very pleased with the service and would recommend Mitch, the technician, and Hoffman Brothers to service your repair needs.

Randy was very professional and took time to explain any issues I had with my air conditioning unit. There were no high pressure sales or anything like that. He informed me of a part that might need to be replaced in the future but no pressure or any scare tactics to force me to replace it now.. we have had two technicians in a few short months one for maintenance and one for a refrigerator repair and both gentlemen were very professional and pleasant.

We love the preventative maintenance that comes at no-charge with our membership. Bobby came out a week ago, checked the HVAC unit, and cleaned the outside coils. A penny of prevention is worth a pound of cure! Update: we had an issue with a wire that that burned the connector. Bobby was back out at the house within a couple hours. He troubleshot the issue and tried the least expensive/safe fix first, but in the end we had to change a next higher assembly part, but he didn't charge for wire repair. He was honest and did a great job. Give that man a raise Hoffmann Brothers!

The entire Hoffmann Brothers team did a great job dealing with our emergency cooling situation at an investment/rental property. From the service manager, to dispatch, to Scott (the technician), everyone was professional, courteous, and provided accurate technical information. Hoffman helped us with a furnace water leak (simple condensate hose issue) as well as maintenance and valve replacement on a tankless water heater. We have used Hoffman in the past for A/C unit replacement and tankless water heater maintenance. Always professional and knowledgeable. Always available. The fact that they support local non-profits is just icing on the cake.

Joe and his team were late showing up however I was very pleased with the work performed. They appeared very knowledgeable and confident. They did an excellent job and I would recommend Hoffmann Brothers. I now just waiting for more time with higher temperatures to see if the system continue to perform well. So far so good.

Great experience with Hoffman Brothers. They replaced a new HVAC for me. From the moment I called to the install, they were very quick and responsive. My old HVAC was completely dead and they took my need for heating in the home seriously and they made the install happen only 2 days after I received a quote. They were super professional, I felt like I was in good hands. I highly recommend!

Wanted to add an update. Our AC was broken for the better part of a month. Between our home warranty service (complete waste of money) and the company they dispatched the experience was a disaster (poor work, poor customer service, multiple band aid fixes instead of a repair or replacement, etc). Ultimately that company damaged our AC beyond repair. Hoffman Brothers to the rescue. Shamin, Ross, Glenn, Jake and everyone else we dealt with was honest, fair, and professional. I was so impressed by the quality of work provided. Hoffmann Brothers responded quickly and replaced the AC unit that was damaged by the other company. It was expensive, but I believe Hoffmann Brothers worked with me to find every discount they could. I am grateful for the quality work performed. I was so impressed I cancelled my home warranty and signed up with Hoffmann Brothers repair service (they offer repairs for AC, heat, electric, plumbing and appliances). Should have gone with Hoffmann in the first place. 110% satisfied.

First time I called them about my gas water heater that was leaking and needed repair. My cousin inherited monthly service plan with them when he bought a condo and used them on some occasion. Nick came over and, since my hvac system was quite old and I was thinking to replace it for some time, I decided to to get a quote for this too. Their quote for water tank was lower than some other place gave me a day before so I went with them. The other reason was that they do plumbing, hvac, appliance repair so it's easier to call one place than to sit all day long calling various companies. Unless you know some small company/individual operator who does a good job and charges reasonable prices all these places charge about the same (a lot) no matter what kind of job it is. Big markups for everything! Anyway, my water heater tank started to leak heavily before the appt day so I called them again and, after some pressure and my frantic calls for help I finally got someone. Got a good man, he decided he can replace that tank instead of just shutting it down and had this job done, with another guy he brought in later, in about two hours. Had red carpet on my stairs to bring a new tank in and old one out. I didn't catch his name with all the stress I had mopping water in my basement and pictures on their website were not good enough to find him there. I would recognize him if I see him for sure. I also had them to repair my gas stove. Again they did a good job but it was costly - over $300 for $50 part and 20 min of their time. Wasn't surprised much but still..I also had new HVAC system installed by them after that. They did it in one day although heater blower motor wasn't working so Keith came next day to replace it. Actual problem was that piece of rubber pipe got into motor fan a day before when they were doing installation and it got stock. Keith replaced motor anyway to avoid any potential problems.

Shamin came out to do a diagnostic for us. He was great, friendly, easy to talk with and explained details in professional and easy to understand manner. Grateful to have had him!

John provided exceptional service for us! He arrived on time, with a smile and positive attitude! He was very attentive and listened to our concerns. If I could give a 0 I would.They charged us $2700+ to replace a water heater in a townhome and their management refused to provide an itemized statement. I’ll be reporting them on BBB.Update: They said they would reach out, and never did. They completely took advantage of us and charged $1700 for 4 hours of labor and haul away.

Hoffmann Brothers did a great job. My A/C went out and I needed to know if it could be repaired or replaced. It did have to be replaced, but it was all explained just so well to me, that I understood the value of the replacement, and how Hoffmann could use rebates and so forth to try to keep the cost down. The new unit will be 15% more efficient, so my Electric bill, they say, will be going down, and over time will take away the sting of the cost for the unit. Well worth the price.

I would highly recommend Nick for the job! I’m back to being able to use my kitchen sink again. We talked through everything he was going to do before he did it & the cost. He got right to work, found & fixed the problem. Thanks again Nick!

Zack came today from Hoffman Brothers to install a new garbage disposal after the old one expired. What a pleasure he is: he is so pleasant that by the time he left he was one of the family. Our old disposal no longer disposed and it was Friday. I thought hopeless. i called Hoffman Brothers and they said they had somebody who could come the same day. Actually today. Zack arrived within an hour or so of my call. He came with a new disposal. He quickly removed the old and installed the new disposal. Efficiently and with humor at the same time. Hoffman Brothers responded extremely quickly to my request for an evaluation of my house’s plumbing. We identified the repairs that needed to happen and were able to schedule the work in a very timely manner.

We called Hoffmann Brothers at 8 am. By about 3:30 we had a new water heater completely installed. Matt was extremely helpful. Besides showing us several options and providing a complete cost for each, and then installing the unit, he answered all our questions throughout the process. Justin came in to help with a draining issue we had in our bathroom. Turns out when you replace it make sure it’s the same style. There is a different between a drain that has an over flow or not. Whoops!

Josiah from Hoffmann Brothers arrived on time. He is courteous and respectful. He explained my options well. He pulled an old broken sump pump, cleaned out the space, and installed a new sump pump. He also improved the pipe set up to the sump pump. I was impressed with the quality of work he did so quickly.

Mike Ludwig came out on July 11 because our AC had stopped working. He's professional, friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and detail-oriented. He was able to get to the root of our AC problem, which was a blown-out circuit board and was able to see that Ameren needed to get involved because of a damaged transformer. He made sure to turn off the system so that the new part wouldn't blow again. He came back today, July 12, to make sure that Ameren did what needed to be done, checked everything out, and turned the system back on and it's up and running. We highly praise Mike - he is certainly an asset to the company.

From the first contact throughout it is clear that customer service is a priority. We have struggled in the past to find HVAC service that was up to date on our system, even asking why the thermostat was beeping and asking for the manual. Not the case with Randy. He was clearly knowledgeable on our system, identified the source of our problems and offered honest and accurate solutions. We now have the peace of mind that comes from honest and reliable service.Update - Our project manager was Glenn and at no time did I feel the sales pressure that so many companies come at you with. He took the time to make sure I understood our options, answered all my questions and stayed available into the evening when we made our decision.Install - Steven and Cassie did a fantastic job. They were very efficient while also being very patient to the many questions and clarifications I had. They were very respectful of our home leaving behind no dirt or signs of the old equipment that was removed.As mentioned at the beginning, the customer service at Hoffmann Brothers is top-notch. It is obviously emphasized from the top down. I have spoken with three different ladies when calling in and all three were helpful and in no rush to get off the phone until they were sure all my needs/questions were met. Not because of only one piece of this experience but because I encountered 7 employees over a 4 day period who made it obvious that they work in a positive culture for a good company.

AC went out on a Saturday morning and Nick was routed out early afternoon to assist. Nick did a fantastic job getting everything running properly, and also did a proper cleaning and check on the entire system while he was here. Couldn’t recommend Hoffman Brothers or Nick any higher!

Mitch came out to give quotes on replacing my water heater and was the most helpful of the quotes we got. He answered all of our questions even calling the office to check on a few things and went over a wide variety of replacement options with us. He was friendly, knowledgeable , and not pushy at all.

Mitch did an incredible job on our garbage disposal installation! Not only was he punctual, he was actually earlier than expected and was able to complete the job in less time than he originally thought. He was personable, knowledgeable, and professional.The only downside to this service was the cost. It felt like it was pretty expensive for a job that didn't seem so complicated; however, the benefit of using Hoffman was that they offer so many services (Heating, Electric, Plumbing) that I was confident that the person would be able to handle any issue that arose.I'm sure I could have hired a simple handyman or friend to do the job for me, but I would not have been as confident in their ability to complete the job without incident.While I would probably price shop a bit before deciding on a future service, I know that, if I were to use Hoffman again, I would be given quality service.

Wonderful A/C maintenance!! Jeff and his training partner, Dakota did a super, fantastic job today at my residence. Both so very friendly, welcoming, courteous, and about the best duo that I’ve ever met. Very efficient, thorough, friendly and warm individuals. Effective 3/7, Cory and 3 other A+ Installers and our salesman Daniel showed up on time this am with the new Furnace/AC unit and explained everything, walked through the removal of the old init and how the new unit would be installed and checked with me each step of the way. I have never worked with any company as well run, and with such professional, expert, customer friendly staff as I have with Hoffman Brothers. The walk through at the end coupled with them setting up the wifi thermostats and apps on our phones to change temps and schedule the system was amazing. The next day!!! Amazing service!Tom Taylor came out 2 times. Once for a plumbing issue with a leak in the ceiling, thevsecondvyme to address and install a new kitchen faucet. Both times, he reviewed and assessed everything, and identified the issues. He offered options and spent time going over everything. The first repair, he repaired the leak/pipe, and his knowledge, customer service and professional knowledge was unbelievable. He explained what we was going to do to review the problem, advised in detail on the findings and walked us through the complete repair. The second trip out months later was for a defective kitchen faucet, and again he spent time providing options, showing us the broken part and offering solutions that were doable. Both times he was amazing and his workmanship a customer service was beyond amazing. Tom is very professional, and I give Tom a 20 on a 1-10 scale. In addition to this emergency plumbing repair, and the broken kitchen faucet, Hoffman also installed our brand new HVAC system a few months earlier. I highly recommend Tom & Scott Baker!!! I highly recommend Hoffman Brothers! They are the best in St. Louis! These guys are super responsive and A++. Thank you Tom and Scott Baker!!!

Chris V. did a phenomenal job. He arrived promptly at the stated time, and installed the new HVAC system with no disruption to our day. He even helped me move a new stationary bike down to the basement at the end of the day! I can't thank Chris enough for the great work he did.

Made sure everything was as clean as when they arrived and carefully explained the new equipment and thermostat. Entire service with Hoffmann was very positive and timely.

Tom was knowledgeable and helpful! He saved us a bunch of money by discovering that the worst problem, the one we thought would cost the most, wasn't a plumbing problem at all! The built-in soapdish in the guest shower is leaking into the area between the walls - caulking it should take care of it. The sinks he fixed work great now!

Kyle conducted my yearly AC maintenance, as part of my membership plan. I love the pre-arrival text Hoffman Brothers sends out, so I know who is coming to my door. Everything was quick and to the point. Kyle was thorough in his work and explained exactly what the visit would entail. On top of that, Kyle was patient and kind towards my dog, who has no concept of personal space. Another great, low-stress visit from Hoffman Brothers.

Well, honestly did a good job. Called in the morning and they came out the same day which was nice. Didn't really seem like he wanted to be here working. But I always give people the benefit of the doubt. They had a special going on so it was fairly priced. Hope the issue is taken care of.

I would give this company 100 stars if I could. It's so hard to find a good business with great customer service, but they went above and beyond. The person that took my call was so friendly and knowledgeable. The service technician was fast, thorough, and walked me through everything. The service was fast and top notch and they even came same day with hot water install in 24 hours! I'm so happy to find a great company that you can tell goes above and beyond for their customers.

Been with Hoffmann Brothers for years with multiple properties. Service was AMAZING in the beginning. Unfortunately, it's progressively gotten worse, in particular with communication.Someone will be there in 30 minutes... and then they'll show up 1-2 hours later.You're our first appointment tomorrow at 7am and then the person won't show up at all.We tried to call you about running behind and somehow there is never a missed call or voicemail... miraculously they seem to be the only company that can't get through to us (or so we are told).Not sure if it's due to the growth of the company but things are not trending in the right direction and as a result, what was once outstanding service has turned into a headache that never goes according to plan.Sad to see it happen.

Between the professionalism, the friendliness, clear and honest communication; Hoffman Brothers are a clear choice. I have had several repairs & maintenance done over the last couple years and each worker is just as awesome as the last. Even the phone operators are awesome. Personally, I don’t waste my time calling anyone else for my rental property.

Hoffmann Brothers once again outdid themselves! We live in an older home (1934) with radiators, and Hoffmann Bros. come out annually to check on the old boiler, which was original to the house. This year the technician came up from his check and said that he had to shut down the boiler immediately because it was leaking carbon monoxide. This was in the middle of January, not the best time to be without heat! A Hoffmann Bros. rep was out that same afternoon to discuss alternatives to replace the ancient boiler with a new, energy-efficient system. We had lots of options and chose a brand-new heating system which also replaced our hot water tank. They had it installed within the same week, which was amazing, and as usual the basement was spotless when they left. Joe instructed the crew and kept us informed of every step. They arrived right on time every day and finished when they said they would. You can't beat Hoffmann Bros!

Dirk came out to give an estimate for a water heater. We also needed floor repair. We could not find anyone to do the work. Dirk helped us find someone and we have an appointment 11/15/22. We're very happy with how they are trying to help us get our problem resolved.Update: Dirk came back today to install our water heater. He helped arrange for a carpenter to replace the flooring under the water heater. Communication was great, price was reasonable, job was completed to expectations, they were very courteous and polite, and completed the job in a timely manner. I could not ask for more. After having no hot water for 2-1/2 weeks due to not finding anyone who was available and reasonably priced, Hoffman brothers came to our rescue. I can't recommend them enough!

Hoffman Brothers is very professional and they always get the job done. They always arrive when they say they will and there aren’t usually any surprises. They are not necessarily the cheapest, but when they fix some thing, you can be confident that the problem is taken care of. When our furnace died it only took them about a day to get a new one in. They also took care of major plumbing issues quickly and effectively.

I usually don't write reviews, but I just had an dual zone American Standard HVAC system installed by Hoffmann Brothers. This was the best home installation I have every had. The price for the install for my new dual zone HVAC system was amazing and no could come close to their price estimate. The installers were very courteous and set up the new thermostats for each zones. They also did a thorough walk through of the entire system after the install. The crew even left my basement looking even cleaner than it was after the install (LOL :). I am a Very, Very, Very satisfied customer.

We had a full heat and air system installed. Had it done in the first of February, code red install. With winter rebates, we saved over$4000!! Great, nice, and friendly people. Total professional job!!! Use these guys!! Just got warm enough to test the A/C !!! Hoffmann was on top of it. 03-15-2023. Just a month after installing. Only reason was cold weather!! If Rizz sells it, it’s GOOD!!!!

We have used Hoffman Brothers for years and are consistently pleased with their work and professionalism. We have used them to install new AC and furnace units, install a new water heater, reroute plumbing, and perform routine maintenance on all units. They are incredibly thorough and do exceptional quality work. Additionally, they honor all warranties and go above and beyond in helping to reduce costs. They quickly responded to two separate emergent service calls over the weekend. They also very quickly assembled a team to reroute plumbing in the midst of a home remodeling project. Most recently, they discovered a major issue with a newer furnace that could potentially be leaking carbon monoxide and acted quickly to resolve at no cost to us. All of their technicians are very professional and kind. I could not recommend a company higher.

Jason Brooks and his partner did terrific work on my sewer lateral line. They were meticulous in making sure that their work covered all the problems and was done as professionally as possible. They lined my sewer lateral line using Cured-in-Place-Pipe-Lining. Both men were highly skilled with the technology and provided excellent customer service. Hoffman has really good technicians. I had my AC serviced and repaired today and Josh was amazing, and my puppy loved him so that's good enough for me.

We had another company look at our system and they said we needed to replace our blower. Our whole system was brand new installed in 2016. We decided to let Hoffman give us a 2nd opinion. It was a loose damper, not a blower. Saved us $500. Hoffman is fantastic.

Had Hoffmann come by 10 months ago to fix an oven. Overall price was about $800 for parts and labor. This weekend the exact same issue appeared and even though I was promised a one year parts warranty, Hoffmann refuses to give me the replacement piece unless I let there tech come out and charge me an additional $600 to replace it. I would just replace it myself if they would give me the part, but I'm not spend a total of $1400 on an oven in a 10 month span. So frustrating that the Hardware Warranty comes with the the requirement to spend an additional $600. So scammy. I will never trust Hoffmann in my home again.

Larry was great. He is professional and gets the job done quickly. Everything was cleaned up and ready to use. Hoffmann Brothers have done several repairs for me recently. They are always on time and do great work.

I got my AC unit serviced. My only ‘complaint’ would be that they are very booked out, so you will need to get on it right away. Scott service the AC unit, he was on time, through, and professional. I would recommend them for anyone looking for this service.

We noticed New Year day that our hot water heater was leaking. Though Hoffmann didn’t have anyone to send the next day they were so kind and helpful. Today Josiah came and he was wonderful! He was so nice to my two year old and very polite and respectful to me. The work was done quickly and I believe it will hold up well. Hoffmann had installed the hot water heater about a year ago so the job was done under warranty. So happy with their service and technicians.

Jason arrived along with a student & diagnosed the problem with ease. They were very professional upon entry & wore shoe covers the whole time. He detailed his plan of action, communicated effectively & even found another unsuspecting problem that they corrected immediately. My overall experience was great. I definitely recommend.

We have two units in our and Hoffman Brothers has replaced both of them. The first was about three years ago, and we were very pleased with the experience. The most recent was less than satisfactory. The process was sloppy overall - several screws being left behind on the job site (we have a 3 and 5 year old who the install team met several times), an overdue vent hole that the team then glued the wall back into place where the vent did not cover, all the way to incorrect install with wiring that was sending incorrect signals to the thermostat (turning the heat on randomly and requiring a technician to re-do the wiring one Saturday). I’m sure these things can happen with any company, but we were disappointed with our second experience.

I scheduled an appointment with Hoffmann Bros to repair the a geothermal A/C unit in my loft that is currently being rented out. I chose them because other owners in my building stated that they had used Hoffmann and had positive experiences. The first technician came out and told my tenant that the unit was over 20 years old (the age of the original units installed in the building) and could not be repaired and needed to be replaced. My unit is in fact only 8 years old. Several days later, a second technician showed up stating that the first technician wasn't familiar with geothermal systems and that he was there to do the repairs. Again, the assessment was that the unit was over 20 years old and needed to be replaced. They then quoted my property manager the cost to replace the unit. The amount quoted was double what it actually cost to replace the unit. I confirmed with other owners that had recently replaced their units that the amount was highly inflated. The technician also attempted to pressure the property manager into making a decision immediately telling them that their were only 2 units available locally and they risked not being able to get the replacement done in a timely manner with the heat. Hoffmann then billed me for 4 hours of labor for repairs. The 2 technicians combine spent less than 90 minutes looking at the unit. I called another company out to get a second opinion, they cleaned the unit and it has functioned perfectly ever since. The amount that the second company charged me was 1/3 of the amount that Hoffmann charged me for the non-existent repairs done to a unit that they deemed unrepairable. Hopefully this review prevents someone else from being taken advantage of.

Curtis is one of the best. We recently bought a new home and he not only completed the maintenance thoroughly, he also explained a few things to us that we didn't know. He was very friendly, very knowledgeable, and just an overall helpful guy. I definitely will recommend Hoffmann Brothers to everyone I know.

While every team member I met was courteous and professional, they were also adamant I needed a full new HVAC system after an hour of troubleshooting. Ballpark price quoted was $12k - $26k depending on options.I asked them if my Nest thermostat could be causing the cooling issues I was experiencing. They were adamant that new equipment was the best option for me.Well, I replaced the Nest thermostat with a basic Honeywell stat and my system is now working great.Make sure you do your due diligence with this company. They are quick to sell you on well above market price equipment.

I’m really grateful for how dependable these folk are. They even have an after hours phone service. And the quick lesson in my house’s air conditioning system that I got from Craig today was a perfect example of the kind of cheerful patience I’m starting to get used to with them.

I have a brand new system in a brand new house and I called to get a quote to install a zone controller. There is no “quote” option. It’s $95 to come to my house for a service call (nothings broken), and then I’ll get “options” from there.After waiting on hold for maybe 10 minutes, I was told there is no service fee and that a project manager would come out to estimate. Great. But then the representative forgot everything we talked about and started asking me what was the problem with my system (again).Thinking that this was a misunderstanding, I called back and spoke to Jake who again said it would be a $95 service call. What a mess.

Although the problem with my garbage disposal was not a problem after all, I was very pleased with the professionalism and knowledge displayed by the representative. I was also very happy that he chose to waive the service call fee. Thanks for great representation for Hoffmann Brothers.

Dealt with them twice recently for plumbing. They are a large company, and their service is prompt and competent, but expensive even compared to other plumbers. If you've got a guy, you'll probably get a better deal from a smaller independent. If not, these guys will solve the problem quickly, but not cheaply.

Zach was great! Arrived on time with team members to install the new water heater. I am pleased that he took time to explain details and functionality of my new water heater, asked multiple times if I had questions and removed the old water heater and parts efficiently.Zach tested all water sources in my condo to ensure everything was working properly. Zach also noticed my kitchen sink faucet was not functioning correctly and recommended a replacement faucet on the spot. He showed me options available for purchase from his tablet and I found one that meet my needs. I decided to replace my old faucet with a new Moen faucet and he quickly installed it. Yay! Our boiler started making a loud noise this morning, so I called Hoffmann Brothers and within a couple of hours Craig Yanko arrived to help. (I love the way Hoffmann Brothers stays in touch to let us know when a technician will arrive.) Craig diagnosed the problem quickly and told us we needed a new gas valve. He was able to locate one that fit our old boiler, pick it up and return to install it. Thanks to Craig we have heat! Craig was knowledgeable and professional, and we will definitely ask for him again.

They were able to come out the day after I called at and the exact time they said they could. My service technician was Mike, and he was great! He let me see what he was doing and explained as he worked. He was in and out and once he left my furnace was working as well as it's ever worked. I'll definitely be using Hoffman Brothers again if I need house help.

My wife has allergies. We asked if we should cover the sofas, mattress, and clothes with covers we had, and If my wife should leave. They told us that it would all be vacuumed and it wouldn’t be a problem. 10 minutes in my wife noticed dust in the air and was having difficulties and chose to leave. After the work was completed, we found dust near all the vents. We wish they would have offered to vacuum considering we paid so much for the service and that they would have taken our questions and concerns more seriously.

I moved into a new home and was not familiar with the Google Nest thermostat. Ricardo explained how it worked, changed my filter and checked my AC unit. He was very courteous and helpful.

Garret offered us more help than I would’ve imagined. Although the best solution for my problem is to replace our hot water heater, he helped us understand why it was having issues and what we can expect until we can schedule an installation. Dallas with Hoffman Brothers did a fantastic job during the initial service call to diagnose the issue we were having in our home. He walked me through everything he was going to do, took pictures and provided me a detailed estimate discussion. After I approved the quote, James with Hoffman Brothers arrived on time to begin the pipe replacement. He also walked me through everything that he was going to do. In the middle of the project, he determined that part of the job quoted entailed replacing a part of the tub drain which ended up being cast iron. He talked me through all the steps and advised that there would be a possibility that the porcelain on the cast iron tub might crack from the removal of the drain. In the end I decided not to risk it and he ensured I got a credit on my final bill. Once the job was complete, he provided me pictures of the pipe repair and ensured I was satisfied with the work before leaving. Overall, I had a wonderful experience using Hoffman Brothers for our plumbing repairs and I would definitely recommend them.

Every point along the journey to get our HVAC system back was a great experience with this company. All of the technicians were incredibly knowledgeable in every facet of their skill. I could tell I was getting real answers to questions I had, not phony marketing lines that try and upsell features.Brian was incredible to work with on the estimate side of things because he had 15 yrs experience as a tech. There was nothing about the install or equipment that he didn’t have a firm understanding on. And, he treated me like a human being the whole time, not some commission to win or demographic to pander too. (Looking at you Jerry Kelly)They were able to get an install going the very next morning - which was actually pretty important as I live out of town from this rental property.Jon led the install and was remarkably straightforward and personable, they cleverly worked around some inclement weather, air intake regulation scenario, and a gas line hookup issue through phone calls or texts- and had the job wrapped up by the end of the day.It was no doubt a huge expense for the house, but gosh, they sure didn’t make it feel that way. I feel very confident that - between the quality of the American Standard manufacturing, the high level of skill installing it, and the reliability that this company has shown - I won’t have to think much at all about HVAC issues for the next 15-20 years. And that is worth every penny. (And it was ⅔rds the cost of the Jerry Kelly private label BS)

Tom did the plumbing for me in a new area of my house. He was so patient with all my questions and also let me know about a few plumbing problems I had in my house and put no pressure on me to have him fix them. Some I was able to fix myself! He was courteous and I felt comfortable having him in my house. I would 100% request Tom again for any future plumbing needs. He did an excellent job and also kept the workspace clean.

I've hired Hoffman Brothers now 1+ years in every way. Electrical, hvac, washer/dryer, plumbing, toilet replacement. Just great every time. And their security is also great, never afraid when I open my door. They've already sent me a pic of who will be arriving, I know who is knocking on my door. They give me financial options, tell me risks (things age....). Then I choose based on budget. A great company with a great team.

I exclusively use Hoffman for my HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair and am never disappointed. John Goste stooped out to repair a plumbing leak that we had. Took care of the leak quickly. Was most impressed with his professionalism, courtesy, and friendliness. Just say enough about what a special guy he is. Just a pleasure to have that much confidence in someone!

As always, Hoffman Brothers repair was communicative since the appointment was made. Hank actually arrived a few minutes early and had the job done quickly. I was offered a range of repair and replacement options of varying costs, but was not pressured to make any decision other than the one I made. They are not inexpensive, but reliability and quality of work is worth it to me.

Dan did an amazing job! First off I called them at 730 and they had Dan on site by 930 even though the schedule was for all day.Secondly Dan wore footies, was cordial and super honest. Everybody is afraid of getting robbed by repairmen. I can honestly say this is the first time anyone from a service actually came in under budget from their initial estimate. I can’t say enough and I my family thanks Dan and the Hoffman bros crew! Will be using regularly!

We were very pleased with our experience with Hoffman Brothers. We had a clog in our sewer lateral causing water to back up into our basement. We called a little after 8am and our technician arrived just after 9am! Our technician, Justin Ray, was extremely professional, helpful, and friendly. The clog was cleared quickly and an inspection of our home’s underground waste pipes was completed. A few other issues were detected during this inspection and several (low pressure) options were provided to remedy them.Based on our experience with our technician, Justin, we will definitely refer others to Hoffman Brothers for their plumbing needs!

I was cat sitting for a friend who had not one, not two, but three (!) water problems crop up the day before he had to leave town. He made arrangements for Hoffman Brothers to come while I was cat sitting so that he could return to a properly functioning home! Hoffman Brothers contacted me to give me a time frame during which I could expect them and told me that they would contact me 20 to 30 minutes before that technician would arrive. They did exactly that and I appreciated their being respectful of my time. It turned out that two of the water problems were actually very simple fixes, which the technician repaired at no charge. The other problem turned out to be an old and rusted out garbage disposal and I had to contact the homeowner to discuss his options because the price ranged from around $460 to $1000 ($1,000 for a garbage disposal?!) My friend chose the least expensive option which came with a warranty and the technician had it available in his truck, so the repair could be completed that day. All of the work was completed very efficiently, and professionally. I was doing a little home repair for the homeowner myself and had the wrong screwdriver, and the technician had the right size screwdriver and let me borrow it to finish my repair! I was very impressed and very grateful! And so was the homeowner when he came home and found everything working properly!

Signed up for maintenance contract which includes filters shipped to you and discount on service call. First experience was great. Our AC was working too hard to cool. It was newer but still needed Freon. They also cleaned the coil and changed the filter for us.

We purchased our home and noticed the “Hoffman Brothers” stickers on our heater/ac so I figured they knew the equipment. I called and sure enough, they were familiar with my home and equipment. I signed up for their preventative maintenance program which is such a great deal! Customer service was top notch from the initial phone call to the technician showing up on time. Everyone was so friendly and communicated everything so clearly. I’m very happy we chose to go with Hoffman Brothers and highly recommend them to anyone!

We had a drastic sudden drop in water pressure in our house and we called around to several different companies. Nobody would be able to see us for almost two weeks, which as you can guess wasn't going to sit well with the boss of the house. So, I did a bit of looking around and by chance, one of our neighborhood neighbors was driving home, in his Hoffmann Brothers work truck. Right there on the side PLUMBING. I was elated, to say the least. We've heard nothing but good things about the company, so we called. They got here the next day! Incredibly fast!Our plumber, Rich, was absolutely fantastic. He was professional and polite, and he didn't try to rope us into buying things or services we didn't need. He laid it all out for us and put it in terms we could easily understand. He was courteous of our home, he was friendly to our pets, and he was fast, but thorough in his work. Installed Navien tankless water heater in Apr 2021 (incorrectly); Both installers stated multiple times first annual service would be free ($350 annually thereafter). Called in Apr 2022 only to be told that was absolutely not true. Fast forward to July ‘22, and my $5K+ unit breaks. Turns out the intake was installed incorrectly (no downpipe on outside of house) allowing moisture in, which corroded multiple parts (fan, motherboard). I used a different company to repair, and to my surprise Navien covered cost of parts and labor

Hoffman has an empire but in a good way. Seems to treat employees well and has created a in-depth system for notification, management and updating on jobs. They stored all my info on my system and every technician has come with that info readily available. All the call center staff have been great and easy to work with for scheduling.

I had major pipes replaced including 2 stacks. I had a leak that happened after the pipes were replaced. Hoffman Brothers came out at least 3 different times to locate the leak. It was coming through cracked tiles and lack of silicone grout. They repaired the ceiling and caulked the bathroom.Now I have a dry ceiling and no more leaks. Toby worked diligently. The finished product, a ceiling that is primed and ready to paint. I had some concerns and complained as it was still leaking. Hoffman Brothers stuck with me until they could resolve the issue. Toby is friendly and able to work around my 19 month old granddaughter. He kept her entertained.I am now completely satisfied with Hoffman Brothers! Thank you Toby and the whole crew who worked on my house!

John came to provide an estimate to install a Water Shutoff Valve system that has been requested by our insurance company. He understood what I was looking to achieve (a good quality system at a good value), and offered a couple of alternatives until we agreed on the correct solution. He was patient, professional, offered good installation alternatives and we reached the appropriate solution decision. Good job!

Our water heater gave way on Wednesday morning. I tried a few things but decided to call in the professionals. I was hoping for someone to show up in the morning on Thursday but Josiah came in well after 3pm and so, I was not a happy camper. He explained things to me in a professional manner and quoted the price for repair and replacement. Both happened to be above what I expected but I had my neighbor over and we decided to go with the replacement. Josiah called in for the new heater and got to work. From this point onwards (and even earlier), he acted very professional and my earlier unhappiness went away. He completed the job well in time and cleaned up. Overall, I felt that I could have saved money by going to a box store but given the emergency, I think I took the right decision and was happy with Josiah.

Really enjoyed my experience with Hoffmann Brothers, and their electrical services. I sent in an estimate request at 7am and had someone arrive at my house around 10:30a-11a, same day. I wanted a ceiling fan installed, and once agreed upon the price, the electrician was able to do all the electrical work right then and there. I did not actually get the ceiling fan installed because we don't have it yet, but I asked Mike to set up the electrical so that the main bulk of the work would be taken care of and we would install ourselves. He was able to change the switch from one to two, one for the light, one for the fan, and change the outlet to always be on so that we didn't have to turn the switch on to power it up. He also walked me through how to ensure that we were lining the wires up correctly once we purchase the fan. He said to call Hoffmann if we run into any problems. For someone to simply come out to your house is $95 so I'm not too sure about the free estimates since they have to have someone come out and still charge you, and to do the work on our particular home costs $591.

We recently contacted Hoffmann Brothers to assess some issues we were having with our hot water heater. We had the distinct pleasure of having Rich Jackson as the lead plumber on the job. He arrived promptly and did a thorough inspection of the water heater, vent, and water and gas lines. He verified our suspicions that there were some possible safety/code violations with the original installation. The space limited the options in terms of tank size and changing the vent work. Rich thoroughly discussed the options and worked with us towards our goal to find the largest tank size-and one that would be eligible for a rebate. He also installed a pressure reducer on the main water line. Throughout the process, Rich was very helpful in educating us about the installations, the products, and the rationale for doing the work. He showed a high level of attention to detail in all aspects of his work and was careful to make sure the work areas were thoroughly cleaned and restored to their original condition. He also pointed out some other plumbing issues that may need attention in the future and gave us possible timelines and ballpark prices for doing the work if/when the need arises. Rich was also very friendly, courteous, and his communication was excellent. Overall, the level of service Rich provided has convinced us that Hoffmann Brothers will be our “go to” for the full array of services they offer.

Honesty is invaluable for this kind of job.I was told by Roto Rooter it would cost me 12k to fix my problem, Joel and Hoffman brothers was honest and worked with me to tell me exactly what I needed to do and what my options were.Set a plan up with me to check back in and let me watch the video of my sewer so I didn't have to pay over $200 for it. That kind of honesty will get big jobs in the future when I will need them.

Scott was friendly, considerate, and well-groomed on his arrival. His assessment of the problem was very thorough in inspecting the issue. It was extremely hot out, and he never complained but was thankful when I offered him some water. After completing the work, he took extra time to clean up his work area on our one A/C unit and also cleaned our second to be nice. He did sell me the 12-month warranty, which I had never purchased from other repair services. He did a good job explaining the benefits. It felt right to add it. I have used Hoffmann Brothers 3-4 times without feeling overcharged or repairing items that did not need to be replaced. One time, the technician even showed me how to fix an issue because he knew I could do it without help and felt it would have been wrong to charge me so much when I could repair it. I 100% recommend Hoffmann Brothers and Scott.

We had a backed up drain. Hoffman Bros said they would come out and didn’t the first day, but the reason this is a positive review is the overall experience. They texted to let me know there was a delay at a different site. Then they called in the afternoon to a real person could tell me what was going on and to reschedule for the next day. The next day there were also delays (and my job had to be worked in). They again let me know via text in the morning that there were delays. When the technician was to arrive that afternoon it happened to be in the short window that I had an important 30 min meeting. The tech waited for just a few min so I could take my meeting. Fantastic service to understand that I wasn’t asking for much after a two day delay, just a few min. The tech was professional and cleaned the clog within 30 min. Highly recommend. Great example of turning what could have been a very negative experience into a positive.

John came back to fix an issue with one of the toilets he rebuilt for us. He also installed a new hot water heater, replaced our broken sprinkler back flow system with better one, and replaced our non functioning water softener with a water softener and carbon filter. Had to replace my HVAC system and Hoffman brothers was the most competitive offer, plus they are a full service company and are truly able to fix any issue and you don’t need to look for other vendors. I had two technicians by the name of Rick and Nick. They were very professional, courteous and wore special slippers to not dirty my house floors. They unclogged a few drains inside and outside on today. They explained what they were doing as well as the recommended work which was sent immediately via email with my receipt and warranty after they were done. They were true to their price quoted. I would highly recommend this company.

When I called for emergency service, they were very concerned and helpful. They sent Mitch after hours to repair mistakes from a local vendor. They sent a photo of the person that was entering my home. He was on time, professional, knowledgeable andI am confident that my appliance was installed properly. He wore covers on his shoes, to protect my floor. He explained everything, and ran the appliance to make sure it worked properly. John came to install new bathroom faucets. While here he recommended installing turn off valves under the sinks so they would be up to code. He was friendly, professional and did a great job.

I had a tune up done to my ac unit on 05/11/23. On 05/13/2023 no air and my lines are all frozen inside and out. My unit WAS WORKING JUST FINE I JUST WANTED A TUNE UP AND CLEANING. I FEEL THAT THE TECH DID SOMETHING VERY WRONG... NOW IM IN A HOT HOME WITH MY FAMILY FOR THE WHOLE WEEKEND.... NOT GOOD HOFFMAN BROTHERS

The technician did a good job but Hoffman Bros charged an incredible amount of money to fix the issue. They don't estimate a job properly. Apparently, a 3 hour job is the same as a 30 minute job. My bank account took a major hit. Never again!

I received an outrageous quote from a company, so I had Hoffmann Brothers take a look. My plumber Andrew quickly resolved the issue for a fraction of the price that the other company gave me. I would highly recommend Hoffman Bros for your emergency plumbing needs.

We were having problems with water temperature and pressure. They were timely, friendly, and located the problems quickly. They were able to fix the issue immediately and our water was back to normal within a couple of hours.

I don't mind paying for a service. I had a service tech from Hoffman out to fix my washing machine from vibrating. Carter from. HOFFMAN showed and greeted me proffessionally. Within a couple minutes he was able to diagnose why my machine was vibrating and moving across the floor. The shipping bolts where not removed and problem solved. He was at my home for 20 mins. He charged me $219.00 to remove the shipping bolts.I helped him lift the dryer on top of the washer.(I did not get my cut)Let's not forget the trip charge.So $325.00 + for 20 mins.But he did have a smile on his face when was accepting payment and he did have to enter the credit card in manually.Maybe there are other folks that agree that this is a lot of money for that amount of time?.my home for

I just bought a house and needed a gas line for my dryer and a new water line for my fridge. Jason was awesome. On time extremely nice and knowledgeable. The work performed was explained and the end product was very professional. When the project was completed, he showed me exactly what he had done and where the shutoff valves were. Had Jason from HB out today for a couple misc plumbing jobs. Not only was Jason very professional, he was clearly knowledgeable and very friendly. And when Jason found a potentially catastrophic issue with the main water shutoff valve, he patiently laid out my options. And BOY am I glad I listened. Turned out he was right and the main shutoff was compromised and couldn’t be closed. Jason then had to locate the comically camouflaged outside shutoff that I would have never found. If he had been less approachable, less forthright, and/or less confident I would have skipped the additional repair — and eventually had a major flood. Thank you to Hoffmann Brothers and to Jason. One of the best service experiences in years.

Dustin was very knowledgeable about what was going on. I thought it was an issue with my water heater, but it was actually a mess up with our new shower value. Great job of explaining what the issue was and how to resolve it. Saved me a lot!

I have used Hoffman bros for multiple properties and many different issues (from mini splits to full hvac replacements) and they are always on time, consultative, friendly, and complete the work.

Our tech Nick did great with our spring AC maintenance that is part of our membership. 5 starsHoffmann Bros. customer contact automation has improved since we became members well over a decade ago: I was able to schedule online, picking the specific day. It would be nice to be able to enter notes like park across from garage and not first appointment of the day (they start much earlier in the day than we do!). We received an email confirmation that we scheduled maintenance, but it did not list the date so I had to call in to be reminded (ADD brain). It would be awesome to list the specifics on the email, and a link to add it to our calendar would be even better! We received a call when the tech was available and then a text that they were on their way. 4 starsTotal: 4.5 stars rounded up

Alex was friendly, competent, respectful and did an excellent job of installing two heat pumps at my home. His was assisted by Cathy who did an excellent job as well. I have recommended Hoffmann Bros before and will continue to do so. I have always been pleased.

Matt was the tech that was sent from Hoffman, and he was great! He explained to us in layman terms what the issuer were with our plumbing issues and worked diligently to resolve it.

I used Hoffmann Brothers to replace my failing water heater. The process of setting up a free house call to inspect my system and quote a new one was very smooth. Only 24 hours between first calling and Zach coming out (in mid December). Dispatch texted and let me know when Zach was on his way, which was helpful and accurate. Zach showed up on time and was very friendly and professional. He was very helpful in answering all my questions and walking me through several replacement options / quotes. I will say Hoffmann is on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for. Zach had my old heater out and the new one installed in under 3 hours. And it was very well done. He explained all the improvements over the original and even some installation errors / code violations from the original construction. All the fittings and pipe work looks great and are premium components. He remounted the expansion tank correctly (not originally installed correctly).I ended up financing the water heater, which was also a breeze and professionally handled.All in all, I’d pick Hoffmann again despite the premium price tag. Very professional! Zach was great and I’d ask for him specifically.

I had toilet problems and Hoffmann Brothers checked all three (3) of my home toilets. He stopped the leak, reset one toilet, and put in new parts that were needed. I was well satisfied with the professional, good quality, and quick response to my large leak. I feel my home is better protected by Hoffmann Brothers.able to solve all three toilets.

In and out very quickly, leaving zero mess for us to deal with. Outstanding service in every way! Or so I thought. When they finished the job, they left two huge gaping holes in our ceiling, several feet long and 16 inches wide. They left us a half-sheet of drywall and said that it was up to us to fix the holes they'd cut. They also cracked a huge mirror in the bathroom when they replaced the light switch. They haven't responded to multiple calls about both of these problems. Last week our AC went out on one of the very hot days we were having. Their website says they're open until 7 PM but at 6:00 when we called, their answering machine said that it was after their business hours and we should leave a message. Did that. Got no call back the next day, or the next, or ever. They have no after-hours emergency contact number, so even though we bought into their premium home maintenance plan, there was no way to reach them at all. We called another company (Superior Heating & Cooling) that had someone out here within an hour. He quickly diagnosed and fixed our problem, then cleaned the outside unit as well. Hoffmann had told us in May that it would be 2 months before they could do that cleaning. Hoffmann is now permanently off of our list. Something has changed for the worse in the past few years, and we can get better service elsewhere.

The company was extremely responsive from the 1st time I called them with my problem.They replaced 2 air conditioners and they installed 4 new thermostats to control my different zones.The salesman was Knowledgeable and professional and did not try to oversell me. The installers were all 1st class guys who worked quickly and efficiently.What a relief to work with great educated people like the pros at Hoffman.

Hank came out to replace a leaking master bath toilet. He was fantastic. Knowledgeable, professional, friendly and provided several repair options. He let me choose what option I was comfortable with and never tried to push me into spending any more than what was necessary to get job done. Justin Bennett answered the service call I made to Hoffman Brothers. He arrived on the same day I called, very timely. After describing the problem I was having with my Whirlpool water softener system, Justin not only got it going, he added the bug bag of salts, marked the water lines so I knew what to turn off next time it acts up so the whole house has water but bypasses the softener. He was great! Easy to understand, pleasant to work with. If I have another problem, Hoffman Brothers and Justin are who I will call.

These guys are seriously the best! I have a Samsung Flex-Duo gas range that, unfortunately will need replacing due to the manufacturer not making a specific part anymore. But the quality of consideration, honesty and integrity that the employees of Hoffman Bros exhibit is exemplary! Jeff H. took the time to diagnose and fix a problem. Unfortunately for me, that was only one problem and although he had to return later for a separate problem, he was thorough and was able to provide me with options for a new oven, offer installation services should I decide to purchase an oven elsewhere, and was 100% honest with me to aid in my decision making. I could not suggest a more positive company with a better group of employees for your appliance repair needs. Truly a wonderful experience!

Hoffman made the whole experience pleasant and painless. Scott came out to diagnose the issue and was very honest and explained all our options and unfortunately that did mean we have to replace our furnace. Project Manager, Brett came out same day and went over everything in great detail to allow us to make an informed decision. He advised that he'll schedule the team to be at the house Monday 8am but not to expect 8am since it's a weekend assignment. The team showed up at 7:59am! This review is truly for Joe. He was the one who showed up at 7:59 and really went above and beyond his job description. We had a entertainment alcove in the basement that we didn't use except as a cat door so the cats can get to the litter boxes and the dogs can't. He said he had to take it out to do the job. We were fine with that. He kept the board that was the cat door and was able to put it right up against the wall and made it bigger for our fat cat. They also hauled away the excess wood for us. The team did a great job fixing the mistakes the previous owners made with the humidifier. I couldn't be happier in my warm home!! Thank you, Hoffman Brothers!

They were super patient with me with booking - I had questions about calling around to find a company that doesn’t blank charge a service fee - no luck. They encouraged me to call around and just let them know if I wanted to cancel.They text and call you throughout the scheduled day to know how the day is going for their people and if anyone is available yet. They also sent me an email once my dude was assigned which took me to his profile page and reviews from people (could be a gimmick but is great customer support process)The guy was extremely polite, explained everything he was doing, I was hesitant about fixing the wire today and he was like hey I get it - think about it and let me know what you think. He also explained their service package which can save some money for me since I needed work done and also have 2ac/2furnace. I got reduced pricing on the work and service call fee and will have yearly maintenance on those units for a little cheaper - maybe would be cheaper through another company and some of it I can do myself but I’m a big maintenance saves larger expenses so I’m okay paying, they also send 6 filters per ac as part of the package.Price wise I honestly don’t know if they’re about average, cheap, or above - my gut is they are about average and do excellent work / are very thorough.They’re rated top A on BBB and they at least by appearances have awards around being a great place to work so seem to be good to their people which is kind of everything in today’s world obsessed with maximizing profit.

I used Hoffmann Brothers before onwork done at an office condo I owned. Then it had been a cold call. I just knew them from tv ads and took a chance. That particular work they did for me on the office convinced me that they were an awesome company as far as customer service and quality service on work done. The cost is very manageable because they offer so many options. And they really are friendly, and they never keep looking at their watches or make you think that they can't give you as much time as you need to ask question.And I didn't have to wait 2 weeks to get someone to come over! In fact they called to say they could come earlier than our scheduled installation day because another customer needed to change their appointment. Can you tell I love this company. You will too!!There was a minor reason I needed to call the guys back to make an adjustment for me a couple of days later.......no extra cost and I had someone assigned and out to correct the issue within a few hours.Gosh, I LOVE these guys!!!

The service technician was knowledgeable and was able to find and fix the issue. I was able to get same day service, thankfully.The company sent text communication to keep me updated on the arrival of the service technician.We would definately recommend this business.

Zach was great. Had an extremely old and heavy solar-powered water heater which wasn’t functional from the previous homeowner. I had another plumbing company refuse to do the job and another company offering to do it for a very expensive price but Zach was able to give a reasonable quote and promptly made phone calls and got it taken care of the next day. A/C went out on a Sunday night, Hoffmann Bros we’re here on Monday. Received a text alert with the tech’s name and picture. He did his best to try to fix, but ultimately it was time to replace the 19yr old a/c unit. We had an expert here within a few hours to review all of our options. We went with a complete HVAC replacement (furnace was 21yrs old). Next day a team of techs was here. All very courteous and professional, new A/C was up and running by 5pm. Next day the finishing touches were complete with the new furnace and the plumber addressed any issues caused by having to move the water heater. 3rd day the vents were thoroughly cleaned (extra fee). All in all, we had 7 different techs in the house (over 3 days) and all were professional and courteous. Very happy with speed and level of communication from Hoffmann Bros.

Hoffmann Brothers has been servicing our heating and air-conditioning systems in our home, which was built in 1927, for almost 30 years. They have also installed new systems when our old ones wore out (a challenging job in an older home). We are very satisfied with Hoffmann's service and now have a service agreement with them. Today's technician, Coty, was excellent: polite, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and friendly. A routine service call, but the work was carefully done. He knows his way around these older South City homes, which often have AC systems retrofitted and squeezed into tight spaces. Hoffmann’s been keeping us cool through hot St. Louis summers for decades now.

Hoffman Brothers did a great job of diagnosing a failed furnace (bad capacitor, motor, and cracked heat exchanger), and helping me upgrade to a new efficient unit very quickly. The Project Manager, Brian, did a fantastic job of listening to our needs, quickly performing the calculation to select the right size unit (our old one was way over-sized) and working with the install team to deliver a professional, quick clean install. Brian was great at communicating every step of the process. The actual install was so smooth. Jake and his team were polite, and very professional. The quality of install is top notch and the unit is awesome. The house is so so comfortable and we can barely hear the unit run. Overall just a fantastic experience, I highly recommend Hoffman Brothers for all your HVAC needs. This group is top notch!

This was a great experience! My AC unit just quit during a heat wave and it was awful. I called Hoffman for service and when I explained the situation they got me on the list for that same day and even made it out to me before lunch. The tech Nick was great. He did thorough troubleshooting and explained everything as he went so I knew what was happening. Once he located the issue, he fixed it quickly and then cleaned my unit out so it would run more efficiently. He explained the pricing for the service visit and the home protection plan, then what caused the issue in the first place, so I could avoid it in the future. I am a happy camper, in my way to being cool again.

Hoffmann replaced my HVAC system and repaired a gas leak issue.I was in the hospital when they installed my furnace and air conditioner. I returned home to find my water heater wasn’t working. It turned out that Hoffmann turned off the gas to the water heater and failed to turn it back on. They wanted to charge me $149 to send a technician. My repair person made the decision to not charge that fee because it was something they did during the furnace install. They didn’t clean up after the furnace install. My basement area was littered with metal shavings and dirt that fell out of the duct work.It took three days for the gas line repair. I was at the hospital for a chemo treatment the day they finished up. The following morning I saw that they had taken the cover off my cable connection box and pulled out some wire. When I called Hoffmann they told me to call Spectrum. The box was closed before Hoffmann worked in the area and secured with ties. But they refused to return to put it back together.I found that my new Pella front door was chipped in two spots all they way down to bare steel from the metal pipe they removed. I am extremely disappointed with Hoffmann. I would not recommend them.

Put it like this rotor rooter couldn’t do the job right. The worker and I’m sorry I forgot his name did the job. And I’m so happy my basement been messed up for 4 mos I called MSD and other plumber and the fella did it fast and right

We had a new furnace installed and the guys really did a great job. Showed up at 7am and were done by 4pm. Installation looks great and the system is much better than what we had previously.I have enjoyed working with Hoffman Brothers and will be contacting them in the future for any HVAC, plumbing, or electrical needs I have.

So surprised with the recent cold snap that a technician was able to inspect our water heater leak so quickly. Sad news to need a replacement but there was no wait AND the replacement was complete in just a couple hours! The area was completely cleaned and he took the time to explain in detail what he did! We signed up for the monthly maintenance plan and secured instant savings. I will go no where else for my household needs. Hoffman bros has come in big in a pinch and per usual did a fantastic job!

We had our entire AC/Furnace go out. My wife is 9 months pregnant and we have a 1 year old. Ross was great at getting someone out ASAP. Another local company told me to call them in a week 🙄 Brian was a great project manager and coordinated the install pretty seamlessly. Tommy came out installed everything in one day and was great to work with. Our nest thermostat wasn’t compatible with our new system. Tommy worked diligently to get a temp one Installed. He then returned the next day to install our new, better thermostat. I could not be happier with the install! I’m glad we chose Hoffman!The difference for me was the customer service, the warranty, and total home care package! I will use Hoffman again!!

AC went out. I was out of town and had college kids staying at house with no AC. Mike, from Hoffman Bros., came out quick, made a diagnosis, and repaired unit within 6 hours of my call. He gave me options over the phone and described each option, the cost, and timeline for each. I will definitely use Hoffman Bros. (and Mike) again if the need arises.

Hoffman Bros. accommodated me immediately when I called and told them I had no heat, furnace was not working. Hoffman Bros. had installed my furnace back in 2020. Mike came out within the hour and was very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. He had my furnace up and running in no time. Hoffmann’s plumber came out to assess my leaking water heater tank. It unfortunately meant a replacement of my 10-year old tank. They did a same afternoon replacement, got it installed up to code, and even replaced my corroded ice maker line valve within 3 or so hours. Another tech delivered my new tank and hauled the old away. So very pleased with their service and staff!

We used the plumbing services of Hoffmann Brothers for a leak in our jet spray. For a service of less than 10 minutes and not even fixing the problem they charged us a whopping $155. This is what they called a discount of I'm guessing $10. Me and my husband are super disappointed with their services and really bummed that people loot you like this in broad daylight. Furthermore, they sent someone to fix it and the gentleman had the audacity to ask for another pay without fixing it. We refused and he was slightly upset, but then hey we didn't have our problem solved in two attempts.

This experience was stressful. We had to have two technicians come out to fix the problem. They are extremely expensive and wanted to charge us double for the same issue that wasn’t fixed the first time. I do not recommend and will be shopping for a different company that has a better attitude. Also, just a heads up, do not buy their membership. It has a bunch of tricks that do not pay off when service comes to be at hand the services that come with the package you hardly ever need.

Our AC had stopped cooling but would run the fan. Andy from Hoffmann came out and quickly diagnosed the issue. He explained the options for repair and was transparent about which service he recommended. AC is up and running perfectly now!

We were having trouble with our air conditioner and it was able to do its job for a couple of days, but we were coming on days that are expected to be above 100°. I called this morning and they were able to come today. Not only did they able to fit me in today, but they had it repaired in 15 minutes. They never fail to amaze me ! Excellent customer service, and five stars all the way!

It's a Friday afternoon on a holiday weekend. We made a mess of the plumbing project ourselves. Xavier came out in a very timely manner considering we just called today, and spent almost 4 hours late into the evening trying to make sure that he was able to at least turn our water back on for the weekend even if the problem itself couldn't be completely repaired tonight. He was very respectful and very professional! He was non-judgmental and explained things clearly and without condescension. And he gave us options for how we wanted him to proceed and told us what the prices were for each different option. I literally cannot give him a higher recommendation than five stars, or I would!

I can't say enough amazing things about Hoffmann Brothers. Another company had added refrigerate in April. Unit stopped work in June. I contacted other company again on Monday and explained the emergency and they couldn't get out until Friday. They didn't seem to care about getting to me quickly. Contacted Hoffmann at 230pm Monday and they were there Tuesday by 230. Mike was friendly and professional. Explained what was wrong and what they needed to do. I actually felt like he cared about helping me and my four legged son. Not only are they an amazing company they support Stray Rescue. They truly do care about everyone. Thank you thank you.

Joey Evansvo did an excellent job installing a new AC condenser and coils and hooking it up with our current furnace. They were very professional and efficient. It rained the entire time they were here but they had a great attitude and never complained about anything. After our experience with them, we will use Hoffmann again and set up the maintenance.

Spire, replaced our meter: required, then out of no where shutoff our gas because they found a leak on pipes, which was not theirs but ours...Spire said they wouldn't fix, as a result, and as an emergency, we found Hoffman Brothers AND NOW this Hoffmann Brothers: THEY are AWESOME! In lightning fast time we were scheduled with a Technician and in a prompt, short time the technician fixed our black gas pipe and checked everything else related. Our garbage disposal had a leak and was done working for us and we were done with garbage disposals. Rich came over and quickly gave us clear options for removal or replacing, and we opted to remove it. He was in and out in under 90 minutes. We happily joined the Home protection plan a few years ago and it's been worth every penny.

Joe was on time as promised. He performed a summer tune up of my A/C system. He also explained how to put the thermostat in vacation mode. He asked many times if we had any issues with the system or had any questions.

I was very happy with Steve and James today. I called about multiple issues that I have been procrastinating on. They fixed my hallway bathroom faucet to have hot water again while we get the master bathroom taken care of. Steve asked if there were any other issues and he took the time to address each one. They replaced my kitchen faucet, the copper hose to the ice maker and the laundry faucet and hoses downstairs. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. I joined the membership and they scheduled my complimentary HVAC service as well as an electrician to come out and check some outlets that need serviced. I am very happy with their professionalism and pride in the work they provided today.
