Brett did a great job installing two new fans with light in my bathrooms and a new vanity light in the the master bath. Plan on using him for additional home repairs and updates.

Did an amazing job on replacing wood and painting the exterior of my home.

Brett came out to install a new gas cooktop we'd purchased; a job too many other places said was too small to be worth it. He was very responsive and professional via text, keeping us up to date on when he'd be at the house. He was also patient in explaining to me how everything was hooked up so I could identify potential issues in the future. A1 is our go to remodel company moving forward!

I have used A1 now for four separate projects and have been extremely happy. A1 has fixed toilets, replaced circuit breakers, changed out light fixtures, repaired some damage to our ceiling, demoed and installed new flooring in the main floor of our home. Brett is respectful, helpful, communicative and was willing to go the extra mile for us when we were trying to put our house on the market. I've found my new handyman for any and all things now! Brett is fantastic. I am an Interior Designer myself, being particular and picky comes with the territory. We needed light fixtures replaced in the whole house, Brett was able to tell us what will work and what won't. He also replaced storm doors, fixed a water lick and more. He ran to the hardware store numerous times on his lunch break when we forgot to get something. My husband and I love Brett's work ethics, he is very respectful of your home. No, Bordner didn't build that, and no, I didn't call Jericho before 7pm on Monday to get their 10% off. I contacted Brett, we went over what changes we wanted to make around Kitchen, Dining room, and stairs, and got it scheduled it right away. Brett and his crew are personable and professional, they have done a great job around our house at reasonable price. Highly recommend their services.

Brett and his team did a great job of setting up our playset. He had an affordable price, got us right on the schedule and came back to nail the playset down the next day after we put mulch down at no cost. Highly recommend his team.

A1 owner Brett Bailes has been an enormous find fir a contractor in getting my projects completed. He is vey accommodating of the inevitable surprises once we got started, and saw the rehab thorough to the finish. His rates are reasonable and he is quite resourceful and knowledgeable when Plan A has to be scratched and his skills are called upon to advance Plan B. Not only have I continued to engage A1 for the rest of must-do projects before the cold winter arrives, I have recommended him to some associates. I only requested they don't call him until we are done with my list. While I have some renovations to do, I will call upon A1 Repair and Maintenance.

Very impressive. Excellent work at an affordable price. I found that Brett was able to take a project and work magic on it. We hired his company for: water heater replacement; removing the popcorn off the ceiling; making the ceiling textured, running some cables that required opening up the ceiling; along with the repair of the ceiling; painting and hanging a TV on the wall. They did a great job and would (and have) recommend them to others.

After having consulted with multiple providers in the area, including the larger and more prominent local contractors, I took a chance on the lesser known A1 for three reasons; (1) by comparison to other estimates, the price was almost too good to believe, (2) the company provided an on-site estimate within 24 hours of my initial inquiry, and (3) Brett was refreshingly honest, straightforward and practical in his bidding process. By the end of the project, Brett and the team not only proved to be of the highest possible character, but they far exceeded every expectation of the work from a standpoint of quality.

They completely tore my master bathroom to the studs, and then rebuilt an extraordinary, custom designed, luxury bathroom including an oversized custom marble shower, all new plumbing and fixtures, and an intricate marble floor. It is flawless. In addition, they repainted my home's interior, rebuilt my back deck, and installed massive custom windows. Everything looks perfect.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, on multiple occasions I have trusted Brett with my home while I was away. He is so trustworthy, and full of such integrity, that he has a code to my home security to come and go as needed to take on additional ad-hoc work and touch ups. No job is too small. They demo'd my old fragile and dilapidated deck and replaced it with a rock solid piece of art which is much larger and built to last a lifetime. Firstly, let me say that I am a particular customer. I needed someone to hang a huge and heavy painting in our formal dining room. I contacted Brett and he came over to our home for a free estimate. Brett made a mantle with oak wood & stained it for us to hang this really heavy and huge painting - the end result looks great!!!!!
