We were so fortunate to have him! He had done a few jobs for us at a previous residence. He put in a beautiful new faucet to replace our outdated one. My husband happened to mention something he had noticed in a bathroom that didn’t seem quite right and David fixed the problem & it was not a simple job! We always trust this company and we were so happy to have David today!My new faucet is just beautiful

The person ( Elizabeth) who answer was very professional and very helpful.The technician (Mike) who came out was very professional and very informative! Jim Bowers has great knowledge that led to repairing a line under our basement floor with minimum damage. Had we gone with a competitor's bid, they would have destroyed the bathroom floor as well as had to remove the shower stall. Jim's crew only had to take out the shower stall, was very friendly and checked the line for further breaks before finishing it off. We appreciated that thoroughness!

Worst customer service ever. I called and set an appointment with them. When the day of the appointment arrived he didn't show so I called to see if there was a miscommunication. He answered, I told him POLITELY who I was and that I would like to re-schedule. He HUNG UP ON ME! When I tried calling back he must have blocked my number because it went dire try to voice-mail. I left a polite message saying that I thought we had been disconnected. No response... total jerk!

I had a wonderful experience with Bowers plumbing. The technicians who came to my home were timely, polite and hard working. They kept working until they were able to resolve the problem. This company is great!! The customer service rep Brooke was very friendly and professional on the phone and was kind enough to work us in that same day. I received email confirmation of appointment, text message to remind, text message to say they are on their way, and an email of receipt. Very efficient! The text telling me they are on the way included a photo of the plumber which made me feel safe since I was home alone.

Bowers replaced the gas line in the basement of my 1930's home. They were accommodating & easy to work with. All work was done as requested & on time. Would hire again.

Repair of leaking Delta faucet with faucet kit and spray hose took the repair person an hour and a half to do. The repair person was very kind, courteous, and professional. The price, however, was very high for installation of a few dollars in gasket parts and $30 hose assembly. $253 in labor for a one-and-a-half hour job is $168 an hour. Far more than expected and fair for the relatively easy job performed.

Fast, friendly, and reasonably priced. Highly recommend Bowers Plumbimg and Curtis, in particular.

Came on time to fix my clogged disposal and running toilet. Gave me a great deal and saved me from a larger bill. Also taught me some things to save money in the future. These guys are the real deal. They won't upsell anything not needed and were very personable. They have always been good to me and guarantee their work.

I called at 16:00 on a Thursday and was given an appointment the next day. David and his assistant came out to repaired a kitchen drain leak. While David was here, he was able to diagnose some other minor issues that we were experiencing with our sink & our possible solutions. Overall, it was a super quick appointment.

Our plumber was utterly unprofessional, and nothing was fixed after two appointments.Doing the wash, the drain pipe was backing up. Did a quick search, found this company was still rated decently well, so I decided to give them a try.First pass was cheap, and it took a little bit of time, which I expected.Two days later I'm still having the same issue. Turns out I misunderstood the plumber and all they did was clear out the drain pipe. Now I realize I've overpaid them, and that job took way too long. I thought they were clearing my main line, and the time taken seemed adequate for that, and the price was very good.The new price quoted for clearing the main line, or doing the job I initially thought I paid them for would have been reasonable, had that been all I paid. But no, I had already paid them a good chunk of money. Now it's getting expensive.Now that they had a real job to do, the plumber is walking around like a chicken with their head cut off.Do I have exterior access to the main line?No.Are you sure?Yes.I'm going to walk around and have a look.They notice that my front lawn has lines marked. Natural gas work had been done.Did they knock on your door and tell you anything about your sewer?No.Are you sure?Yes.I'm going to call around.They finally resign themselves to using the access point I showed them at the beginning of the appointment. They hit something and decide to accuse us *multiple* times of flushing wipes, which we don't do.Cue two hours later, and the job is not done.Do have a manhole cover, I'm not hitting anything.Not that I'm aware.Are you sure?Mostly.I'm going to walk around.A cable broke and the plumber taught my toddler a swear word by yelling it to high heaven. We also heard it because all the doors were left open. The main line access is in a bare concrete room, and he leaves the door to the finished portion wide open.The drop cloth he laid down was an afterthought. Our carpeted stairs were filthy. The finished floor was disgusting. They did not really clean up after themselves. I glanced the wash room after he left and saw some water on the floor; that was expected. Today I go into the room and realize that feces are everywhere. I get to spend a solid half day washing and disinfecting half of that room.And the cherry on top is that nothing was fixed. And as the plumber leaves, he has the audacity to tell me to careful what I flush. My blood boils just recounting this experience.TL;DRI was able to get my money back, but that's not enough to warrant a second star. It was a miserable experience. The plumber was largely clueless and extremely unprofessional to point of being childish. And the cherry on top was that they left a massive mess that I am still attempting to clean.Getting an offer from the company to have it cleaned with no charge was too little, too late. If I hire a professional, I expect a professional. I wanted nothing more to do with them at all.

I've used Bowers several times, and been very pleased with their work. They have been out to our house both for plumbing problems as well as to put in new plumbing for a room remodeling. I also called them when my elderly mother needed a new hot water heater. They got out quickly, and even coordinated everything with an electrician when they discovered some wiring that needed to be done before they could install the new unit.

Matthew came over yesterday to install a kitchen faucet. He was great! Very polite and friendly. And most importantly very knowledgable. He moved around a few things to make our plumbing more efficient. He did a really good check for leaks for before he left. I was very happy with his work and will def use Bower's plumbing again! :-)

Mike Williams came to our home and cleaned out a shower drain that have been clogged for awhile. He gave a bid to me before the work was done, good price as well. Bowers has a great system with communicant with their customers.

I have had Bowers bid/complete multiple jobs ex: range gas line from basement up through kitchen floor, and a 2nd shower head/faucet install in a tiled shower most recently. They always do their best to simplify and keep the job in budget without sacrificing quality or tearing up my house! As a homeowner, Bowers will be the only company I use for my plumbing projects. We had a clogged shower and sink . They showed up on time . Handled the job quickly and very well. Professional.

The work they did to put in my water heater wasn't bad but I have several items that I didn't like - 2 for the plumber and one for Bowers Plumbing. First, the plumber was professional and did a good job for the most part. However, he left a pretty big mess in my driveway - lots of stuff to sweep up and a bunch of solder that I can't easily get off my driveway. Second, when he emptied the old water heater he re-flooded my basement, so much that my family room carpet got way wetter than it had when the heater initially failed. I wouldn't have been so upset about this if he would have revealed this to me but only discovered the mess when I walked through and - squish. It's OK if you make mistakes but be honest and fess up if you do. Third is an issue with Bower Plumbing's billing practices. I chose to use a credit card and my plumber told me that there would be a 3% fee to do so. Why, I asked? It was explained that they pass along the swipe fee that the credit card company charges them. I checked into this with my credit card company and, either Bowers Plumbing doesn't know or doesn't care that the practice of passing along a credit card fee is illegal in Kansas. Kansas law Kan. Stat. Ann 16a-2-403 states in part No seller...may impose a surcharge on a cardholder who elects to use a credit or debit card in lieu of payment by cash, check, or similar means. I have turned this over to Visa for review and hope to receive my 3% back. Finally, 2-stars is probably a bit low for the quality of the actual work on the new water heater, but I'm knocking one star off for the two sloppy issues the plumber left for me to clean up, one star for the illegal billing practice, and one extra star for all my hassle in cleaning up my driveway, sopping up water for two days, and spending my time researching credit card fees and talking to Visa about a problem that I shouldn't have had to deal with.

Had severe pipe leak in basement. Joshua Maine was my service man who knew exactly what to do.His work was amazing. He tackled the problem the moment he arrived I have to say he was remarkably clean in his work.He arrived on time, no disruption to the house.I will always be grateful to Bowers Plumbing for their quick service and Joshua’s excellent repair.

I needed help to install my Whole House Water Filter System and this is where Bowers Plumbing came into the picture. Specifically, I had the Springwell CF1. The folks that came out were very professional. They showed up on time and were respectful in all of my needs. They even took their precious time to answer my question and concerns before leaving. Overall, a job well done and will definitely recommend Bower's Plumbing to you if you are reading this! However, they did made a mistake in what I was charged for but after discussing with there customer service, they were able to fix the problem. Installation Service is 5 stars and the customer service is 5 stars!

David came today to move a gas line in our fireplace from the floor to the interior wall of the fireplace. The old line was no longer safe to use and needed to be updated.David arrived on time! Had the oldest drain cleaning company clean my sewer line and they said it had a separation and the line needed to be replaced. When I asked them for an estimate they said I had to have my basement floor opened and a cement slab out side the house opened up as well as holes dug at the house and in my neighbor's yard in order to pull a new line under my swimming pool. They mailed me an estimate after three days and never called to see what I may want to do. I had Jim Bower give me an estimate to do the work because he had done my daughter's house earlier in the year. Jim came right out with the lead for actually doing the work. They indicated they were having to go over two foot tall walls around the pool and could access the main sewer from the back of my yard. Jim e-mailed me the quote the same day and called to see if I had any questions. His quote was far less and he could get right on it and finish the job in one day. The work was very professional and the clean up was so good it was left in better condition than when he started.

I needed an outside spigot for my old house. Bowers plumbing sent Jason out for install and now I have an outside tap for my backyard. Jason was prompt, courteous, and professional. The price came in lower than was quoted, which made me very happy. We will be using Bowers Plumbing in the future for all our plumbing needs.

I felt like Colton and his helper did a really great job installing a water line and utility sink with cabinet in my art room, and also they installed a Aquasana Whole House filter system as well. They were prompt and courteous, and when it became apparent that we had a cement wall in the way of the water line, they were quick to address it and make a plan on how to move forward. There was no additional cost for that which was a relieve cause so often that is what happens with other companies. They did a great job, and I would feel good calling Bowers again if we needed additional plumbing.

3/17/23 Yearly maintenance on tankless heater. Same great service! We both had a laugh--I work at Lowe's and he was in last week for a part and that's what reminded me to call for the appointment!UPDATE: Used them again today, simple repair to tankless heater and a replacement sprayer on the sink. In and out in barely an hour. Courteous and didn't flinch at our dog (he's a mess).I have been looking for a plumber closer to home to do the yearly service on our tankless water heater. Bowers worked with me on my dog who doesn't like strangers, came in, worked around the heating and cooling guy, got everything done and was on his way in short order. My kind of service!

Super quick response time. Called a service in and they were here within 2 hours. Repaired quickly without having to leave and return with parts. Definitely worth using.

I have used Bowers a couple of times. Once to install a shower and once to replace a shutoff valve in my yard. They have been consistently professional and have been good to work with.

Had them out to relocate a water heater and washer hookups, they were not the cheapest bid, but had several friends and family recommend them so went with them even though not the cheapest.They arrived on time, super nice and worked very efficiently. They did something most might not think about that really saved me a huge inconvenience. The floor drain where the washer was relocated too had not been used in decades. Before they made the final connection, they tested the drain and found it to have a clog in the trap. Not sure what the clog was, but it was a challenge for them to get it cleared. Once they confirmed the drain could handle the flow of the washer draining, they closed it up.Had they taken for granted the drain was clear, I would have had a big mess the first time I did laundry.It's said you get what you pay for, and Bowers is well worth their fee.

Removed leaking valve and reconfigured hardware as needed for new dishwasher, did a real good job

Anthony and Mike were friendly, prompt and thorough! It was easy to schedule the appointment online and text updates were prompt! I hope to not need plumbers again anytime soon, but if I do, I will go back to Bowers!

We had new hose bib valves installed. Our house construction offered some challenges but Logan did a great job. He took time to explain what needed to be done and finished his work with everything in good order.

The woman who set up my appointment was very professional and kind! They sent out a technician named Josh and he was very knowledgeable and efficient. I appreciated the text they sent with his photo and brief bio so that I knew who to expect before he arrived. Needed our water heater replaced in our restaurant. Was in a very difficult location. Bowers came out and created a better situation for our unit. Worked in very difficult heat and did great work in the time frames they quoted. Would recommend to everyone.

Bowers plumbing did a great job! The job was last minute and they were very kind to get me on their schedule the same week. I had 4 sinks and faucets that they hooked up. They were very patient and explained what they were doing, and it looks great!

Greg was very efficient, knowledgeable and completed our project in a timely manner. He coordinated his work with a basement company performing other work at our house at the same time. He also identified that we needed a new hot water tank and, although it was not part of the scheduled work, got the new hot water tank installed on the same day. Very prompt and reliable. Separate individuals came out for both the estimate and the work to be done. Both were extremely professional. I was impressed with how quickly it was completed considering the amount of work that had to be done. I was worried because in the estimate, they stated that I was likely going to have some sheetrock and drywall repair done. However, they were able to complete the job without affecting either of those parts of the house.

I called regarding a dishwasher issue, was quoted a really good price and they were friendly about my schedule. My technician was Jason and he was very punctual, friendly, knowledgeable, and very positive. I highly recommend and most definitely will be going back.

He was an hour early, was VERY professional, and they even sent me a text with our plumbers name, photo and detailed work experience he has. He has been a plumber for 40 years and he enjoys riding his motorcycle in his off time. I am super impressed with every aspect of our service! Joshua and his helper (sorry, I can't recall his name) were very professional in their work and in explaining what my options were for a new shower faucet with and without a new on/off lever.

My floor was soaked, they sent someone out and Greg arrived in 10 minutes, had me fixed up and in working order within 30 minutes. I was very impressed with the service and knowledge of the plumber that was sent to repair or replace my water heater. Greg Gates was experienced and told me exactly what the problem was and what we needed to do. He had the water heater with him to replace mine if it was needed, and all the parts to do the job. THAT was impressive! I live in a rural area, and usually service calls from repair people involve trips back to town for parts and etc. He was totally prepared. That made the job go faster and better than I ever expected. I have HomeServe insurance, and they paid for the trip, and the heater. I had a charge for some of the upgrade and parts, but that was fine. Mr. Gates explained to HomeServe that repairing would cost them more in the long run than replacing now, because it was going to short out again very soon and they would still have to replace it. They saw his reasoning was logical and cost effective, for all around, as well as much more safe for the customer - ME. I appreciated that enormously! When he first arrived, I was relieved to see that Mr. Gates was an older and more experienced plumber. I was grateful that they chose to send him to do my job. The Bowers team were able to work me in within a couple hours of a near emergency sump pump issue. Notified us when they were on their way with a pic of the licensed plumber via text and completed the work needed to fix the issue in less than an hour - plus reconfigured the original set-up to help prevent the issue from happening again. Jason was very professional and informed us of the issue and what he needed to do to repair and prevent the concern from being a chronic problem. They warranty their work for years too! I’d definitely use Bowers from now on. Great team.

I contacted Bowers through their website at 9AM for a service call, expected to be put on a list for the following week. By 3PM the same day, I had two plumbers show up and they completed the work in just over an hour. They told me everything they were doing and let me know up front the approximate cost. I guess I must excel in procrastination, because I knew my sewer line needed to be replaced. Next thing I know, there's a river of poo on the side of my house and I'm in a panic because, well, poo. So I called Bowers, who had previously given me one of three different estimates ( 2 from other companies), and they were able to schedule me in very quickly. First I'll say - I chose them for a couple different reasons. Company A gave me a $10k estimate, Company B said $7k, and Bowers said $3k for this particular job. Company A had the worst online reviews along with poor word of mouth reviews. Bowers had the best price and the best reviews. They scheduled me in and I expected the work done in about 48 hours after the project started. They showed up at 8am sharp and were finished by 4 or 5 pm. Quick, efficient and friendly. There's nothing quite like the experience of not being able to use your own bathroom, and having to drive to the gas station to poo. Bowers had me back on my own seat in no time. Thanks guys!

Jason did a great job of replacing the P-trap in my master bathroom vanity. They were friendly and provided a great customer experience and explained what they were doing. All repairs were completed in a timely manner. And they were on time to the appointment. Which is rare these days. Great job overall. Hundred percent satisfied with the work they did. Jason also did a great job replacing two shower faucets and shower heads.

I had Bowers Plumbing replace 160 ft of 40-year-old sewer line that was crushed and crumbling causing quite a few headaches. Jim and his team worked over 12 hours in a single day to make sure we had a functional sewer by the end of the day. It's nice to know that a plumbing company will take the time to do a job right the first time, and act like you're a person and not just a wallet. His team was courteous and professional, they placed drop cloths on our new carpet, and cleaned up after themselves. I couldn't be more pleased with his work. They were very professional but the technician with 40 years experience did not know that one drain snake was longer than the other, so they installed a clean out drain to reach the blockage but still couldn't reach it. They weren't able to reach it until they tried the longer snake. As a result we paid over 400 vs. the less than $200 it would have been if the technician had tried both snakes to begin with. Or at least, known that one was longer.Now 10 days later we find out the blockage is not totally cleared and we still have a plug.And today the drains for both sinks failed. The blockage is still there and my husband, who can fix the pipes under the sinks, and had done so in the past cannot get either sink to quit leaking. I would never use Bowers plumbing again

Had Bowers Plumbing come out and give me a free bid on replacing my sewer in the backyard. End up having Bowers do the work. It was a big job, and they went above and beyond. Very pleased with the Bowers Plumbing.

We awoke to no hot water. We called Bowers before 9am, and the technicians were at our door within the hour. They diagnosed the issue (faulty water heater which was still under warranty.) By noon we had hot water again. Very appreciative of quick response and professionalism of staff.

Incredible service. This is the 2nd time I've had them come out and both times were excellent. Today i walked into my storage room to find a pipe leaking by the water heater. I called Bowers at 11:58am. Greg arrived at my door at 12:38pm according to my ring doorbell. Within 30 mins, he stopped the leak, cut out and replaced the bad joint and pipe, flushed the air out of the system, and had us back up and running. We have a newborn in the house, and even though I never mentioned the need for prompt service or our newborn situation, Bowers took care of us quickly and efficiently. Greg was very polite, informed me of what the issue and fix was, and told me to expect a little more air through the pipes until it's completely flushed. I highly recommend Bower's. I don't know if I'm supposed to share what it cost, but it only cost $120 for parts and labor. I was happy to pay that for such a quick turnaround with quality service. Thanks Greg and Bowers.

I am an older person concerned about being compromised with the virus and Matt called telling me he was coming and when he arrived he was wearing a face mask putting me at ease. After checking the plumbing issues in my house he carefully explained to me what was wrong and what the costs would be and how long it would take him to fix them. He was right on target with his estimates and he even cleaned up after himself. I was impressed that before he left he returned to each project to make sure that everything was working correctly. He then explained the results, the final costs and the one job that he would have to return to finish on another day and we consulted a calendar. I then payed my bill. He was thorough and polite. It was a pleasure and I would find it very easy to call this business again and especially ask Matt back into my home again.

Had my city water line replaced. Crew was fast, clean, polite, on time, and did minimal damage to my lawn. I loved the text notices alerting me to their schedule. And giving me photo and bio of the workers coming to my home. I could not have had a better experience!

While they we're done with the water tank, they noticed another issue. They came back the next day, unfortunately it could not get fixed, but i'm so grateful they took the time to see if they could!

I was referred to Bowers Plumbing by another local plumbing co. in 2002 for the water replacement service we needed at that time, I was amazed and thankful for their professional service. I've continued to use them for any job I consider challenging for anyone else.The greatest challenge came Christmas day of 2012 We had a major sewer mystery and couldn't wait til the next day for repair. We looked in the phone book and called a well known co. They came but were unsucsefull. Someone came the next day with a camera with still no clear results or follow up plans discussed with us. I called Bowers Plumbing and Jim Bowers came out and walked through every step with me knocking on neighbors doors to let them know of the possibility of digging on their land with theirs and the city's permission. He sent employees out to survey the land and with an experimental dig the problem was found on my land. The repair was finished swiftly and saved a possible $15,000 compared to an earlier quote by the company I called originally.Needless to say I,m glad I called Bowers Plumbing. They are awesome!

I hired Bowers Plumbing to come out and clean the sewer. They sent me a confirmation text for the time they were going to be there and when they had an available time open that was sooner than that they made sure I was going to be there to do the job. I needed a stool replaced, but it was not just a standard job. There were many twists and turns to the project. Jason hung in for the long haul, and was successful in completing the job. Technician showed up to appointment without warning several hours earlier than scheduled. When my scheduled appointment time finally came, they had moved onto another customer and refused to provide service that day. They seem to be on their own schedule and have no respect for the schedules of their customers.

Our water heater died yesterday. I called Bowers Plumbing this morning and got a 2 to 5 time slot. Received text to confirm the appointment, got text from Jameson that he would be the service representative. Just after 2 Jameson showed up, assessed the problem and showed us the options. We chose to replace the water heater. About 2 and a half hours he had finished and everything was working great. Jameson was very professional and did a great job. 👍

Bower’s Plumbing sent a repair man out, and David texted when he was on his way. (I appreciate knowing when he was coming instead of worrying if a repairman was even going to make it to my house that day.) It took a while, but David finally found an elusive leak in a shower dripping into the basement. He was very careful and brought a tarp to cover an area to make as little mess as possible. I was so thankful he explained what he found, how he fixed it, and what I could do to make sure it didn’t happen again. He also gave me a few suggestions about my shower I didn’t even notice. I’m so glad I called Bower’s. Top notch, Wichita-owned company.

The office failed to pull the permit on a water heater installation, despite my being told that the city Inspecter would be out today between 8 and noon. Because the permit was never pulled, I waited around for 3 hours before finding out that their mistake cost me the morning...just to learn that it won't be until sometime next week. Date & time is yet to be determined. In my 55 years of working in the customer service industry, I've learned that if there's ever a chance the company will fail, it'll almost always be as a result of failures of those inside the office...not the Service Techs. That's been the case with multiple companies I've done business with (and terminated) over the past half century. A checks and balances system should be in place to insure that at the end of the day...they've dotted their i's and crossed their t's. As to whether I'll ever do business with Bowers in the future...that remains to be seen as to how their botched mess is handled going forward.

David came out early this morning to fix the outdoor spigots. He was presented with challenges on both faucets-the front one needed an “o” ring, instead of packing, to stop the leak. The back faucet, I thought would just need a new handle. Wrong thought. He ended up replacing the entire spigot with a new one, made all the more difficult by the too close proximity of the gas meter. Then after getting the old spigot out, he tried to get the new one in. The pipe with the pex part was too big, and he didn’t have one the right size with him. So, back under the crawl space, he capped off the pipe and promised to return later in the day. Well, he came back quite shortly and finished up very quickly. Thank you David! Will call on them again to get the job done.

I have been a past customer of Bowers Plumbing and always happy with their work but in recent years I have used local plumbers finding they only did adequate work. I had several plumbing issues needing attention and decided to call Bowers. Bowers sent Greg; a licensed master plumber; to do the work and he did an outstanding job. He listened to what I needed done and when there was extended work necessary he had all the tools and parts so he did not have to order parts and come back. Highly recommend Bowers and will always ask for Greg.

Called to ask if they could come early, which was fine. Original issue was leaky faucet in a dual faucet configuration but ran into problems trying to remove old faucet handles due to corrosion and rounded Allen screws. We opted to replace the both faucets with new. Despite difficulty in access due to tight quarters they persevered with good attitudes and kept me informed. Job took longer than anticipated but the original estimate to R&R old faucets honored. Job completed to 100% satisfaction. Will continue to use and would recommend to others. MD

When Greg was on his way, they texted a sweet message about him and his qualifications. He's been a plumber 30+ years, worked for the company over 10, and is their operations manager. As a real estate professional I have to be very neutral who I recommend. When one of my listings needed a water main line replaced, the seller wanted three bids. Bowers plumbing was the one we chose. The plumber who came out was licensed himself, not just through the company. He explained exactly how their company would replace the line and what equipment they would use. Their estimate was the middle price. We knew the lowest bid would increase as he had not factored in the excavation part and the higher bid seemed very unreasonable. The Seller felt they received good quality work for a fair price. My family has used Jim Bowers Plumbing since around 1970. They are punctual, capable and fair.

After a water pipe burst under our house while we were in NC, the water was turned off until I could fly home. I called Bowers Plumbing, who made a special effort for a temporary fix so we could have water until arrangements could be made for a permanent repair later. During that repair, I ask them to look for other plumbing 'problem' spots that might need future attention and they were very accommodating. The service men were prompt, courteous, thorough and provided quality work. Our insurance company required some extra explanations on our paperwork, and the Bowers office was as pleasant and courteous as their workers. We were very satisfied with our dealings with Bowers and will definitely call them again, and highly recommend their services for anyone with plumbing needs.

I needed my 1910 Bungalow re-plumbed and a gas hot water heater relocated. They came out promptly and gave an estimate which we revised 2 or 3 times. They showed up on scheduled and did the work as estimated. I am pleased with the quality of work and the service. I will be using them again in about a year when I remodel my kitchen. I have used them several times in the past at my previous home. Highly recommend!

Logan did an outstanding job of rerouting the plumbing for my dishwasher that was done incorrectly by the builder and previous installer, He was unable to complete the job because the required parts and equipment were unavailable. However, he went the extra mile to help me set up completion of the job with the dishwasher repair company and advised of needed parts. He worked very efficiently and ran into many problems that were not of his own making. Logan is conscientious and has a great work ethic. He cares about getting the job done right. I highly recommend Logan.

I called Bowers Plumbers today because of a non-working sewer-ejecting pump. They said the soonest they had a slot was 4 days out but they would try to get someone sooner. Jason was willing to come late in the day because of the nature of the job. He came out and cleaned the pump which had become clogged with TP. Fortunately we didnt need a new pump. Really fast service and Jason was very thorough and stayed to make sure it was working well.Bowers had replaced this pump for me 2 years ago and it was still under warranty. We had a problem with 25 year old fixtures no longer available. David put in a kit and replaced all valves and diverters with new parts but dressed them in the old nickel finished shower parts that match the other bathroom fixtures in our house. Behind the shower wall, it is all new. Inside the shower, it is just like it was built 25 years ago. Thanks for the great job, done special.

First, I recieved a text showing a picture & a little bio of the journyman who was sent to clear my drain. (love that) David was very thorough. Once he hit the clog with the snake, he showed me the problem (hair). He then ran the water & ran the snake again to be sure the pipe was clear. I hired Bower's to do a total replacement of my 70-year-old cast iron drain pipes. Not a cheap job, but having done a lot of work in crawlspaces, I understand why. Those guys deserve a medal.They showed up right on time, moved as fast as one possibly can when wrestling out ancient cast iron, and had it all done shortly after I got home from work. I now have a nice, modern, PVC sewer system and can enjoy some 21st century comforts.Money well spent, as far as I'm concerned, and now I can worry about the other pile of house projects I have to do myself.Customer service like their's seems to be hard to come by lately, and I greatly appreciate it.

June 2014.My second experience with Bowers was not as good as the first( see review below).This particular job was:1. A shower head/control rough-in along with a floor drain2.,Two vanity faucets and new sink hook ups3. A wet bar sink with faucet install..Two of the three faucets they hooked up leaked. I must say they were courteous and prompt and came out the same day and repaired both.On a bar faucet they said they could not hook up the lines due to the fact that the new counter top was too thick for the faucet stems and would require another faucet with longer stems. I went to Home Depot and purchasing two standard stem nuts, two nipples and two couplings and hooked it up myself. I find it incredible that they did not have these common parts on their truck and could not fix this.I understand that companies make mistakes ( too bad it happened to me) and I most likely will do business with them again because I believe Jim runs an honest business but on this particular visit, due to lack of problem solving in hooking up a simple faucet and not testing the connections on the other leaking faucets.... they rate 3 stars.August of 2013..On a Friday I called Bowers after a large franchise plumbing company ( named after one the U.S. founding fathers and inventor of the lightning rod) had bid a sink re-hook up from $600 to $1000. This company has been receiving my business for several years. I told them I would be in touch.I then called Bowers based on a Google search and their web site. They could not give me an estimate on the job but gave me the owner's cell number and I left a message not expecting to hear from him. Their dispatcher was helpful and courteous so I made an appointment for the next Monday. Was I surprised to get a call on Sat morning from Mr. Bowers who was straight forward and gave me an honest estimate based on a worse case scenario. It was much less than the first company. So I reconfirmed the appointment for Monday.On Monday, their plumber arrived at the promised time and quietly and politely went to work and had us up and running in just over an hour. The bill was less than $150.This company is run the way companies should be run. They were competent, fair and courteous. It was a pleasure doing business with them. I highly recommend Bowers. 5 stars

Ebuka and Jameson both did a wonderful job on a big project at my newly purchased home. Built in 1932, it was moved to its current location in the late 60s, which is when all of the (admittedly weird and quirky) plumbing under the basement was installed. We had a crack in the stand pipe for our clothes washer, which led to a cracked drain pipe under the concrete, etc, etc, all the way back to the main sewer line exiting the house. While other plumbers wanted to charge us a TON of money to repair issues that weren't present, Brandon gave us a very fair estimate to correct the problem without doing other major work just because we had the concrete open. Ebuka's and Jameson's work is so much nicer than what my house had before, and it will stay that way for a long time to come. They were careful to be clean and were very courteous. They were incredibly kind to my dog, as well-- she loved them, and she doesn't always like repair people! They correctly routed the drain for my sink, moved my washer drain a few feet to the left so I could use the space under my stairs for storage, and even redid the (previously disjointed/bent) vent pipe going up to the roof. Thank you to Bowers Plumbing for doing such a great job; I feel very confident in the work you've done, and I can't wait to finish putting my laundry/bathroom back together. Most important to me-- none of the gentlemen I worked with at Bowers spoke down to me for being a woman. I have a lot of knowledge about home improvement projects, basic plumbing, etc; however I know very little about major plumbing fixes like the ones Bowers did for us. Other plumbers spoke over me to talk with my husband, or treated me like a child when they tried to explain things. Everyone at Bowers treated me as an equal, and I appreciate that SO MUCH. :)

My hot water heater went out and I called Bowers. They were able to send someone out the next day. Gave me a 9am-noon window. They showed up at 9 (texted and emailed first to let me know they were on their way). Joshua was knowledgeable and talked over my replacement options to get the best fit for me. They had the old heater out, new one hooked up, and were gone by 11:30. They haul the old one off and let me know that the city would be calling in a week to verify their work on the permit. Overall very quick, professional, and courteous. Will use them again in the future!

Unparalleled Service!When I found that I needed an emergency trenchless sewer line replacement Bowers Plumbing went out of their way to provide a competitive bid with scheduling that fit my urgent needs. From bid to job it was just over a week!Professional!Jim Bowers described exactly how the job would go in detail. When they crew showed up, the foreman again walked me through the job. There were no differences in their descriptions, and both emphasized that they would clean up after the job. They had to knock out part of my basement floor and dig on the easement of my property between my garage and a large tree. Other companies had quoted tree removal, but Bowers told me it was no problem.When I came home on the day the job was done the first thing I noticed was that everything looked exactly like I had left it minus a small about of fresh soil where the dig site was over the tap to the city main. I went in the house and the newly poured floor looked even better than the original. The crew had left the place CLEANER than they had found it.Complete on Time!The best thing was that they were reliable. Bowers showed up when they said they would. Own two property's. Bowers has replaced both main sewer lines with out a hitch. Recently had issues with centrifugal force well pump at one. They freed pump that was froze up and had it running in minutes. All employees I have dealt with were prompt, professional and courteous. Needed Garbage disposal replaced. Had one already purchased that needed to replace old one. Went with Bowers because of all the other positive reviews and I must say their customer service person on the phone was very professional. Plumber was dispatched very fast and end result was new disposal installed and for a very reasonable price. Good experience overall.

Lowest price that I could find. Quick to come out and give a free quote. Did the work and everything looked good. But after turning on the outside faucet, it leaked and was never attached. Called on Saturday. Got a call back first thing Monday at 7:30, and had a tech come out and fix it by 10. Overall happy, but maybe the tech could've done a better job with the cement work and picked up after. Will use again in the future though. Much better than doing it myself!

Bowers Plumbing replaced the battery in my backup sump pump system. When calling the company for help, my call was answered promptly and the service appointment was scheduled and completed quickly. Braden and Wyatt, the service pros who performed the battery replacement service, were knowledgeable, courteous, and answered my questions to my satisfaction.

The tech automatically detected that our sump pump was corroded and needed immediate replacement. He had all of the supplies on hand to start the job right away. We are very pleased with the professionalism and time it took to complete the job and especially loved that Bowers notified us immediately by email and text of the time frame we could expect our tech Michael.

Charges a service fee of $75 so if you dont get the repair you pay the $75. The repair was $100 more then a competitor. So only had one toilet fixed of 3 in need of repair. The competitor gave an estimate over phone. Competitor repaired other two. Won't be using Bowers no more. But i will miss Mike!

Armando did a FABULOUS job! He and his partner were personable, efficient and replaced my spigot with one that will last a minimum of 20 years. I truly appreciate quality service with quality parts. I intend on using Armando again to replace my second spigot and to install a water line to my fridge. I also must say Bowers understood I needed someone ASAP because I couldn't turn my water off. The city was off for the holiday and I had called 6 other plumbers. At least Bowers sent someone that day to turn off my water main till the repair could be done. Thank you Bowers Plumbing.

I could go on and on about how bad other plumber are compared to Bowers. Had low water pressure in a bathroom, had several people come out and look at it but then I had Bowers come out and it was just some valve that was shut off. Had a sewage cap that was broke according to another plumber who wanted to jackhammer out concrete and spend thousands to replace the whole thing, bowers fixed it with no concrete work and for next to nothing. I'm calling them first next time

I'm very happy with this company. Greg came out to look at our plumbing because we thought we had a blockage. Turns out we had a bad toilet, hot water tank and a couple other issues. He gave us a very reasonable estimate and we ended up getting a couple things fixed the next week. Greg himself and another gentleman came back to do the install. They are very friendly and knowlegeable, and cleaned up after themselves when they were done. I also loved that it was done in a very timely manner! We definitely plan to have them come back to fix the other issues we have later!!

They were able to get us in quickly and the staff on the phone were really kind and knowledgeable. The staff member that came to our home was punctual, professional, and able to complete a job that another company was not. It's a cold winter day with a promise of low temps and snow. Like most homeowner's experience at some point in their time owning a home I am faced with several major home maintenance issues all at once. With the incoming weather I am hoping I can get somebody out to fix my issues with our laundry drain backing up soon. With no real experience with any local plumbers, I quickly did as any good millennial would do and jumped online to start searching. After today's service it quickly became clear why Bowers Plumbing Company was at the top of the list for Wichita local plumbing services.I first called their main number and was greeted by a customer service agent who walked me through a super smooth scheduling process and gave me clear expectations on the service and times. Once I had services scheduled I was told I would have somebody out between 11:00am - 2:00pm. I work from home, so this was totally fine with me. My previous experience with any services is that they are almost never there early or often arrive after the latest time they said they would with little to no updates. To my delight, this was not the case with Bowers Plumbing Company. At 10:25am I receive a text message with information from the service person who would be arriving. The message included a picture of the individual, a small bio to give me some information on their experience, and that they were currently on their way to my address (Which was listed in the text for confirmation). Wow. They haven't even started work and have already exceeded my expectations!Thomas C. arrived shortly after and got right to work on the issue. He explained everything that they were going to do, gave me several detailed options to include some premium services, and wasted no time getting equipment to the site to begin work. Both Thomas and the Gentlemen who was with him had only been working for a few minutes when they began getting pummeled with snow. This didn't seem to slow them down a bit. Like real professionals they continued to work on cleaning out the drain finding roots and other causes of the issue. Thomas C. was a great conversationalist and true professional making sure to let me know what was happening and making small talk sharing stories about family and friends the whole time. Once the work was done, I insisted that they should not worry about the roots and mess left behind so that they could get out of the snow and back in the warm truck. They still made sure the site was as clean as it was when they showed up, got all of their equipment loaded up and the checkout process was super easy, right in our warm living room using a mobile device.I had some other questions about some future work I would like to get done, especially after this fantastic experience, and both gentlemen gave me straight forward answers on what I could expect. They let me know that there was an estimator service I could use with Bowers Plumbing Company who would come out and give a more accurate quote and I fully intend on using them for any future projects/maintenance going forward.If you are reading this and looking for a local plumbing service with friendly, professional and experienced staff then I HIGHLY recommend you give Bowers Plumbing Company a shot. The Good:Jameson (Technician)was very professional and did great job replacing a leaking main waterline valve no complaints with him at all he was great to deal with.The Bad:When I called and got a quote I told them I had 2 valves I wanted replaced 1 was leaking the other was not, but I wanted it changed also since it was the older style as the one leaking. Was quoted a price and when tech arrived It was noted 1 valve only and would be an additional 200 for the 2nd valve. So just a reminder always get the quote for the service via email so there is no confusion/surprises last minute..

Jason came out and was super professional, helpful, and kind. He was able to diagnose our problem quickly and was very clear and honest with our options. We haven’t yet had the work done, but wanted to commend him as he was great and the price was fair as well. I will update this review if/when we have the work done to elaborate more on their actual service of the issue.

Brandon is always a pleasure to work with when we needed to schedule any service or estimate. He's very responsive to my calls and emails. One of there plumbers, Dirk, came out to install a gas line for us that another plumbing company wasn't able to do. He was very courteous and professional. Professional, on time, quick service, and affordable. Diagnosed the issue and replaced the sump pump in less than 45 minutes. Would definitely recommend.Updated: called on Monday (original service the Thurs before). Asked for more money, referencing the invoice. Stated they could take a CC payment over the phone. Didn't have the invoice front of me while at work to review while being asked to pay over the phone. Got home and the invoice had $100 in labor, not added into total. Wish I could have had the time to review the invoice before being asked to pay. Not the best business practice. So, 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise, service still commendable.

I received an estimate for a project and a complete explanation of what the job would entail. The visit was very quick and informative.

Greg came in and assessed the situation. He told us that it wasn't our water heater leaking, but the HVAC unit. We decided to replace the water heater because it was so old, and he fixed the leak we had. He was professional, efficient, and personable. I would recommend Bowers Plumbing.

March 9, 2017 service date.Matthew was prompt, professional, efficient, and personable. Surprised to see only Matthew, no assistant. We had 3 toilets removed and replaced. Matthew completed all his tasks under 4 hours Boom! Better than the quote received from Jim Bower. I pleased to provide this review. We will save water and money with Kohler Cimmarron 1.28 Water Sense toilets we purchased.Why 4 out of 5? Finish: 2 reasons. 1) Matthew had to return and repair a leak from the tank gasket that did not seat properly. 2) We have a wood floor in the half bath and Matthew used caulk to seal the base. It can be argued that if we had carpet in the bath would he have used caulking?

Charged me 200.00 to unclog my kitchen sink left still clogged came back. To try again. I was told they got it they left still clogged. Called said they wouldn't come back. This is how they guarantee their work. I rented a snake and did it myself.

I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. It was an emergency situation and they were able to fit me in right away (they were even an hour earlier than expected.) They explained everything very clearly and thoroughly and were even able to repair a job previously deemed unrepairable by another plumber. An extra detail I really appreciated was getting a text ahead of time introducing the person who would be making the house call. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

Very pleased with the work Bower's Plumbing did for us. We had a back-up in our sewer line and our basement flooded. We used another plumbing company for the initial work (stop the flooding), but had Bower's bid (based on the Google reviews) before having the belly fixed.On an apples-to-apples basis, Bowers was very competitive. However, Mr. Bower recommended we make some additional changes as that is the only way he could guarantee his work (re-running some pipe that was underground to above the rafters to get a better slope). Although it was significantly more, I felt that Mr. Bower wasn't just trying to upsell me, but was really trying to make sure the root cause was fixed rather than just fixing the symptom. In fact, I don't recall him ever saying he would just fix the belly--which to me showed he only wanted to do the work if he could stand behind it. Because of this, we opted to spend the additional money and go with Bower's.We were very pleased and Mr. Bowers was very attentive to our needs, including rearranging his schedule to accommodate ours. I'm probably not the easiest customer to deal with, but Mr. Bowers took the time to explain to me what they were doing and they even left the holes in the basement floor open over night so I could see what had been done. He followed-up to ensure we were completely satisfied and had the carpet layer return when we weren't 100% satisfied the first time.While it's no fun to have to call a plumber in the first place, Mr. Bower tried to make it as painless as possible and we would highly recommend him to others.

They were all super nice and got the job done for me. They even brought me a meter key so I could access water quickly and shut it back off while waiting for my appointment. My appointment had to be delayed once due to weather, but they were very accommodating.

Installed water heater and placed unnecessary vent in basement door without asking permission beforehand. This is a very visible custom door in nicely finished basement. City inspector is person deeming vent absolutely unnecessary. Whether or not the vent was required is not my main reason for posting this review. To never ask permission prior is not acceptable.Agreement was for us to replace door (to ensure replaced to prior standard) and pay bill minus damage with half payment up front and subsequent payment once door finally installed. Door was custom and took substantial time to replace, which is a major hassle. Other huge issue is constant badgering by Jim Bowers regarding payment throughout workday hours despite being told multiple times he would receive payment following door being fixed which was also previously agreed upon.I strongly discourage you to use Bowers plumbing for any plumbing needs. Look elsewhere.Edit - just now saw company response...Wife was never contacted for permission. She wasn't even present at the house at the time. Pretty sure her contact information isn't even known to Bower's.The person we did have present at the house was asked for a 100 dollar tip by the installers which is difficult to forget. That person is 100% reliable and in no circumstance would give permission to anyone to do anything relating to our home or otherwise without asking us.Company comments regarding any agreements on payment are similarly false and intentionally misrepresentative.Truth of the matter is how I described originally.

This was my first time using Bowers Plumbing and Armando provided great service. He was very thorough, kept me informed throughout the process and was very patient with any questions I had. He also suggested a couple of extra improvements that were helpful. I will definitely use Bowers again!

From beginning to end, they were great to work with. After the sale customer service shows they actually care about the customer. I would highly recommend them for any plumbing needs. They were honest, fair and transparent, which is hard to find in many service industries.

Matthew was on time and professional. We had a handy man wash his tools that had thin set in our sink and bathtub which ended up clogging our pipes. I called Bowers early morning and they answered promptly and got us in quick! I love that they text prior to coming showing a picture of the technician who would be working and also emailed. Our drain has been unclogged and I am very pleased. I will definitely be calling them back for my leaking bathtub upstairs soon.

Overall, I felt Caleb and his associate were kind, considerate for my time and my home. They arrived a few minutes early (after confirming it was okay with me) and promptly got to work replacing 3 outdoor spigots, the valve behind a toilet and a trip lever inside a toilet. The quality of work on the outdoor spigots is top notch!! I am, however, dissatisfied with the knob replacement on the toilet. The knob is not the same the same quality as the one replaced and is not secured as well. In fact, I was not even aware they swapped out the knob until the work was complete. The knob is loose and hardly moves to produce a flush. I wish they would have let me know in advance of the change. I have since gone online to order the correct part and intend to try and replace it myself. I think this could have all been avoided with a little communication.

I had a Moen faucet that was leaking. Moen sent me an O-ring repair kit. They said there would be instructions. There were no instructions. When I called them, there really was not any guidance. I have never had to fix a washer less faucet myself. So, rather than attacking the faucet not knowing what I was doing, I called Bowers. The person I talked to was appropriately sympathetic. He asked me how I found him. I told him that I font 68 very positive ratings. He asked that if he did a good job for me, would I be the 69th. Well, I'm here. He told me exactly what it would cost and when to expect someone to arrive. I even told him that either my wife or me would like to watch so we could do it ourselves next time. He thought that was a good idea.About 45 minutes before he was expected to be here, he called and asked if he could come early (boy was that a change!). When he arrived, he was professional and did exactly what he was supposed to do. He showed my wife how to replace the O-ring (turns out to be easy). He charged exactly what was promised. He is now my regular plumber

I was referred to Bowers Plumbing several years ago by an associate at work. I have had Bowers Plumbing do a number of plumbing items and will gladly use them again.When I had them replace the gas water heater, the inspector arrived later, and was elated - which tells me that they are not often elated by the work they see.

The technicians were on task the whole time. The job was involved and required new installation and correction of old plumbing issues. Cleanup was done efficiently!

We had a sewer line collapse and could only use the trench less method for replacing it. I swear I had every plumber in the city of Wichita come to our house for an estimate. We received an estimate that was a little bit lower than Bower's but we were just more comfortable with Jim and were ok paying a little bit more for his work. Do you really want the cheapest fix possible anyways? I liked that when I called, I talked to the owner, not a 1-800 number for a national corporation. I also liked paying the little guy and keeping the money local. We were not disappointed with our choice! Jim's crew took less than a full day to do the work, and you can't even tell they were ever here. I thought we would have huge ruts in the yard and mounds of dirt, missing grass, etc. but other than some laid over grass you can't tell. While I hope no one ever has to shell out the kind of money it takes to replace a sewer line, if you have to do it, I definitely would recommend Bower's.

I'm a new home-owner who's still getting to know who my go-to contractors will be. I had gone through two plumbing companies before I gave Bowers a call to install an ADA compliant toilet in one of my bathrooms. I forget the names of the gentlemen who did the install, it was several months ago, but I do remember that they were very professional, courteous, and did an excellent job in a very timely manner. I had a good feeling about Bowers Plumbing and they came through. Next time I need a plumber, Bowers will be who I call.

Joshua Maines and his apprentice were both very professional. After inspecting the problem, Josh provided us with direct and clear options & cost. While performing the repair, Josh was very professional and provided clear instruction to his apprentice. We have used a couple of different plumbing companies throughout the years. Did the due diligence to diagnose the real problem and proceed to explain it to me in layman's terms so I understood the solution. Mike used many diagrams to show me the problem and the solutions available to me. They were clear and transparent with me throughout the entire service appointment. I called on Bowers Plumbing after realizing that I was not going to replace a shower faucet by myself. The technician arrived shortly before the appointment time. I showed him which faucet needed to be replaced. Since the faucet was inside of a shower/tub insert it was necessary to cut out an opening on the wall behind the faucet. Once the technician removed the sheetrock he discovered another issue. The shower faucet was mounted to a 2X4 and was installed with the intent for it to ever be replaced. After considerable effort, the faucet was installed, the opening was covered and the water was turned back on. Everything worked perfectly. I must add that the technician entered my home and never slowed down until he was finished. He was very courteous and answered all of questions. I will call Bowers for my future plumbing needs.

Bowers Plumbing was GREAT !!My wife and I live in Tucson,Az and own a home in Kechi Ks, where our son and his family live. About a week and a half before Christmas the main sewer line broke and needed repaired. I contacted five plumbing companies for bids , three local plumbers and two that were national franchise plumbing companies. One never even gave me a bid, one I had to call for two days to finally get a bid from them. One gave a price quote at the jobsite, but after the manager reviewed it at it got to me it was$ 2600. higher. this was very difficult to deal with 1100miles away..Bowers made it easy, not only did Jim have the best bid, he stayed in contact with me the whole time. My sump pump died on the night before Memorial day. I called left a message, returned my call early the next morningI had expected to be told it would be a couple of weeks but they were out the next day. Ebuka was polite and had arrived earlier than the time given to me. He replaced my sump pump in just a few mins. We discovered a problem where the water is pumped to in the yard. He went over my options with me and took care of it just as quickly as the pump. I wasn't charged an arm and a leg either.Overall timely, polite, reliable and affordable.

I will never call this company again. The actual handymen are aweful. They guy they sent out for a leak in my shower destroyed the handle, left the mess for me to clean up, and I still needed to go get a new handle after he was done. All for $300. The guy they sent out for my dishwasher literally did nothing. Said he didn't know what was wrong with the dishwasher and I was charged $100. Worst experiences ever.

I am incredibly pleased with Bowers Plumbing. They were very easy to get scheduled with and receiving text updates was great. I got a text about 30 minutes before the plumber, Ebuka, arrived, which was helpful for my schedule. He was so friendly and immediately knew what was causing my issues. He showed me exactly what he was going to do, and explained why the new solution was better than what was done previously and would not deteriorate. He finished quickly and sent a detailed receipt so I knew exactly what I was paying for. The final bill was less than I was expecting, so that was a pleasant surprise! Jim Bowers came out the same day the Water Department representative told me I had a leak between the meter and my house; what a relief. Counting that as Day 1, Day 3 was a holiday, but by the end of Day 4, my new water line was installed. This project even required a city permit. All of the details were handled to accommodate quick replacement. I have created landscaping beds and a courtyard with stamped concrete walks between the house and meter. The Bowers team successfully used a process that allowed them to pull the new pipe underground without disturbing any of this recent landscaping work. The heavy machinery used in front of the landscaping was expertly operated and there was no peripheral damage to address. The technicians knew exactly what they were doing and, at the same time, minimized the mess that the job created in the basement. What mess was made was cleaned up in a way I've never had a plumbing company do. I was asked to test all of the water faucets before they left and they thoroughly tested the water line itself. The young team was well-trained, presented themselves well and stayed on task. It is bad enough to deal with any significant plumbing problem but Bowers Plumbing made resolving my water leak as stress-free as possible. I got even more than I had expected! A real value!

Very knowledgeable. I asked about several things around the new house and they were able to give me all the information I needed. My wife, and also purchased a water filtration device which they installed for us, while fixing the leaks under the sink in the kitchen.

I recently had granite countertops installed in my home. Afterward, I hired a local handyman that identified himself as a plumber to install strainers and reconnect the drain pipes. I will preface this review by stating that I am a first-time home buyer and do not have much experience in the handy-man realm. First weekend in our house we discovered we had gas and water leaks. Nothing major, but they were things I was not quite sure how to tackle. John from Bowers came out and quickly took care of our issues. Excellent service! Bowers Plumbing responded same day to our call for a venting pipe that was leaking water into our basement. The problem was quickly diagnosed and expertly repaired. The leak resulted from some 'creative' DIY plumbing that was done before we owned the house. Thankfully Bower's technician David was experienced enough to know what had been done, and skilled enough to repair it on the spot. David even cleaned the area up afterward- unnecessary but very appreciated! To top it all off, David even dealt directly with our home warranty company, making the process super smooth. I use to hire Bowers plumbing for all my household needs. They've done several jobs for me and up until probably the last year I was very pleased with the service and amount I was paying. But I recently needed a well tank installed, I had it almost completely installed myself, but I was unable to find the few remaining parts I needed at the hardware store and a local plumbing store, so I called Bowers to finish the job. Boy did we get ripped off. They charged us to install the well tank as if nothing had been done. On top of that the Master Plumber that came out made a whole scene about the pipes around the well tank and quoted us over $1500 to fix it after he made this whole scene about how this was eminently going to flood my basement and if I didn't repair it I'd have water coming out my front door in the near future. On top of this, this Master Plumber couldn't even set up the well tank correctly, and we had to hire someone else to come out and change the pressure settings. To make matters worse, he went on and on while at our house about how he's legally disabled, and guess who got to carry the old and very heavy well tank up the stairs to his truck...me. Feeling great about that service call (hint of sarcasm). Well its been a year later, I don't and have never had my basement fill with water. I decided to hire the 2nd plumber again to replace these few pipes around the well tank, guess what! He's asking $250 for the same job. Very disappointed with Bowers and how I've been treated. They might or might not be able to fix your stuff, but you're about to be overcharged by a mountain ton if you let them try. My advice, find someone else.

Mid-November: While fixing another complex plumbing/construction in our house, Jason deftly diagnosed and then solved a knotty problem we had in our bathroom shower. He had to cut a hole in our wall to get to the problem, then got an old shower working like new again, and he turned the wall hole into a vent screen that loosed like it always belonged there..Early November: Jason gave us excellent service diagnosing, then fixing a complicated plumbing problem. Gave us good work but also knew the right contractors to hire for the ensuing construction problems in need of a fix.

Kirk did a great job. Very respectful, wore his mask & gloves the whole time he was in my home , which is very important to me during this time, and finished in a timely manner. My husband and I highly recommend Bowers plumbing.We had a leaky toilet that we thought needed the toilet ring changed. We called a couple of places and Bowers was the most affordable plus we had heard good reviews from our friends about them. They quoted us an estimate of $130.Jason, from Bowers plumbing, came to address and fix the issue. He was very quick and did a great job. The total cost came to $110 which was lower than what we expected.

This service literally ruined my house. The plumber that came was extremely unhelpful and just acted like he didn’t care at all. Told me he doesn’t know what to do about dishwashers and that was one of the reasons he came out…. He ran a cycle to see if the standing water would drain. He then “fixed” the leaking toilet. After he was done with the toilet, the dishwasher was literally flooding my kitchen floor and he goes “oh it’s leaking. You just need a new one” and my dad asked him what was wrong with it and all he said was “Oh it’s just broke” and literally left. Lol okay? the next day, the washing machine was leaking all over the bathroom floor, the shower was spitting up dirty water and over flowing the bathroom floor also (mind you, all of this was never a problem until he came out) my sinks and toilets were gurgling and spitting up water. We could not use any of the plumbing. Literally whatever he did just ruined my house it seemed like. The next day we called Mr. Rooter and he asked if the other plumber went outside and I said no. The mr. Rooter’s plumber stayed for 3 hours, actually genuinely cared, was incredibly respectful and literally fixed everything. My experience with Bower’s was so poor that “poor” is an understatement. I will always be calling Mr. Rooter’s from now on.

Our drains started backing up every time we used our washing machine and we called Bower’s out because we were happy with our first experience with them. They came out to our house about six times over a two week period. We were happy with some of our experiences but the majority of them resulted in our drainage issues getting worse. Over two weeks we were unable to do laundry or shower in our own house and eventually we had drainage from our sinks and toilet leak into our basement as well.We had a pipe with a vent put onto our drainage in the house and were told it was tested and that we didn’t need to test it before they left because it worked (partially our fault for not checking it before they left). As soon as they left we tested it and it backed up immediately like it did before.We called them back out and had a lot of our cast iron pipes replaced, which looked like it would be the obvious solution. It didn’t end up working but we were really happy with the work and workers who came out for that service. They were both very professional and transparent about what was going on. They stayed longer than they planned to make sure the job was done right and they felt bad when it didn’t solve our problems. They’d get five stars if we could only review them. They did a great job and were very professional!The rest of our service included snaking our sewer line for about an hour and blaming the city on not taking care of the main. This resulted in going back and forth between snaking our line and having the city come out to jet the main about two or three times.Their next step was to send out an excavator and then give us a quote to replace our sewer line, which is very expensive and definitely would have put us in debt for a long time.We ended our services with them when we had raw sewage leaking into our yard. We called someone else out and he spent three or four hours out in the cold snaking our sewer line and fixed all of our drainage problems.Everyone was overall nice but it seems like they maybe have more experience with pipes inside than sewer lines outside. Even though they spent a lot of time here it didn’t seem like there was ever an answer to what specifically was causing our problems (except for our replaced piping which seemed like the obvious cause and ended up not being so). They were upset that we didn’t want to pay to have our lines looked at after they’d been out here five times and nothing had been fixed.We also noticed that all of their reviews below four stars disappeared from Google within the past few days because we definitely read through some good and bad ones a few days ago.

We needed to have some gas lines moved in our basement and contacted Bowers Plumbing based on recommendations from our neighborhood website and the numerous excellent reviews on Google.Jim was pleasant to speak with and very accommodating on getting over to our house to give us an estimate and getting us on their schedule once we agreed to the work.Greg and Kendal showed up on time both days, professionally dressed and were very courteous. We went through the work to be done and I left them to get on with it. I checked in with them over the course of the two days and on two occasions I noticed pipe lines that were not where I had thought they would be. Kendal was very professional in discussing my concerns, suggesting corrections and then promptly implementing those corrections. Much to my pleasure, Kendal and Greg also figured out ways to get some of the gas lines through existing holes and in between joist where I didn't think it was possible! Once the job was complete they cleaned up any mess they had made and walked me through the job to make sure I was satisfied and had no further questions.Long review short, these guys were excellent and once we are ready to tackle some of our other plumbing projects, they will get our repeat business. I have also recommended them to a neighbor needing some plumbing work done.

Bower's replaced our main sewer line behind the house. They not only quoted us the most reasonable price but they were prompt and quick. It took them only half a day to complete the project. They took care of all of the prep for the project, which the other companies wanted us to take care of our selves (like removing and replacing fences). Their crew was professional and respectful. A leaky sink turned out to be a much bigger problem as the cast iron pipe was broken in half. Ebuka came back a week later to the remove original cast iron pipe and repair/ replace with PVC. Curtis was courteous. Other gentlemen with him did most of the work. There bid was higher than another one I received, so I went with the other company.

Bowers fit us in last minute & we had a great experience with Mike - he fixed our problem, answered all our questions and checked out an additional problem we had!

We always use Bowers Plumbing. Every plumber is very knowledgeable and professional. This time, Ashton, did the best he could with a very difficult situation. His patience and perseverance are appreciated.

I initially called Bowers Plumbing after our first night in our new house we discovered that the water was not draining and had backed up into our basement. Bowers came out right away and snaked the line. Their rates were better than previous plumbers we had out for our old house. They let us know that our line was heavily damaged and that we would need a new sewer line sooner rather than later, but there was no pressure to do anything right away. When we did decide to go ahead and do the work, Bowers came out the very next day to give me an estimate. The work was scheduled right away and the men that came out to do the job were very polite, respectful, and did a fantastic job cleaning up after themselves. I recommend Bowers Plumbing to everyone I know in need of plumbing work.

5-star rating for the sales manager because he focuses on earning the trust of the customers. 5-stars for technicians because they have done a very good job. This is the company I will call if I need help with plumbing services next time.

Edit: 10/15/18: They did come out and finish my job for a reduced price (although I wasn't originally charged correctly, they did agree to correct it, so hopefully I get the correct charge on my CC). The plumber initially finished the work and went to make up the bill before it was correctly installed. It looked loose and wobbly, and the first time I touched it, it fell apart. When he came back in, he had to take it apart and put it together again correctly. It took so long to install, I was starting to feel bad they had agreed to a reduced rate, but now I suspect it took so long because the plumber didn't actually know how to correctly install this part. I'm crossing my fingers it stays together this time. Also, he did leave quite a bit of a mess this time on the floor and in the tub, which isn't what I'm used to from Bowers.Edit 9/27/18: I was happy with Bowers before (see original review, below), but after this morning, I'm a little frustrated and may look for another plumber. They were unable to actually do the job I requested due to lack of parts, and I felt condescended to, as though it was silly to expect to get the fix I wanted and that I didn't know when the toilet was running.When I made the appointment, I had two jobs that needed done - a toilet to fix and a sink drain I wanted to replace with a new style pop up drain. My repair window was 11-2, so I could have it done during my lunch break. Instead, the service guy called at 9am wanting to come over.Then, he did fix my toilet (I hope), but acted like I was confused and the noise was not coming from the toilet because my pets have a drinking fountain in the same room (as though loud hissing from a toilet on one wall and soft splashing from a another wall are easy to confuse) without even asking when I heard the noise or what else was running when I head it. So, I'm kinda crossing my fingers that the flapper was the only problem.I did not get a pop up drain installed. When he arrived, he just said it wasn't a standard part they carried (had anyone said that in advance, I would have gone out and bought one). He did adjust the existing drain so it closes, but because of the lack of clearance to the wall on this sink, I still have a sharp piece of metal behind the pedestal sink where the original drain arm was broken off to fit and I still have an old style drain that is hard for me to use compared to the pop up on the other sink. So, now I have to order a part and have another plumber come out if I want to get the drain replaced as I wanted. I won't be calling Bowers for that - I'm really unhappy to have paid so much in labor (the minimum is high) without getting both jobs done.-----------------------------------Original review was 5 stars.After I bought my house, I realized I didn't know any local plumbers, and my friends were unable to actually recommend one they liked. As a result, I took to the internet to find companies to contact for my first big plumbing repair here. I happened to call Bower's and I'm so glad I did.I've had three big projects done so far - installing a main water shut off, installing a shower, and repairing my sewer line. I called several companies for quotes on each project and Bowers always had one of the lowest - if not the lowest - prices. I was a bit skeptical that the trade-off would be price for quality, but I can pleased with the quality of the work too.Each time Jim has been out to give me a price, he has been very thorough and answered all my questions, and his plumbers have so far done very good work for me. Today, his crew repaired my sewer line, and they were on time, quiet, efficient, and willing to stop and answer my questions whenever I wandered out to see how it was going. In addition, they cleaned up the yard very well (even raking my mulch back into place and flattened out clump of dirt kicked up by the excavator).I would definitely recommend Bowers Plumbing.

Our plumber, who was fairly new to the trade, was both very friendly and competent. He repaired two toilets and replaced a garbage disposal. He was professional and diligent in his tasks. I would recommend this company.

Kendall came out today to fix a really stinky plumbing issue that we had. He was polite, and did excellent work, even when he ran into an unexpected rotten pipe and the vibration of the saw caused a potted plant to fall and spill soil on him. All in a day's work? Thank you Kendall for taking care of us today!

We really appreciated the quick response of the plumber who came to our house after our hot water heater started leaking. We called on a Friday morning and two workers came out in the early afternoon. Within two hours they completely installed the new 50 gallon heater and redid our outdated plumbing and we were very happy! They were so professional and kind and told us what they were doing and why. I would highly recommend Bowers as we used them another time a few years ago to redo a bathroom.
