We have always had great results and service from Roto Rooter. We just had them out 08/17 and could not be happier. Nick explained what he was going to do, what he found, how it was going to be fixed and what it would cost us. He was very polite, his work was neat and quick.
I was very impressed with the customer service! When I called to schedule my appointment the person I spoke with on the phone was so helpful and kind. These guys are a little pricey, but they got our drain cleared up within 2 hrs of the call. The tech was super polite and got the problem solved in spite of not being able to find the outdoor clean out access.We had already tried draino and my neighbor's 10ft snake and still had backup problems.I plan on using these guys from here on out and recommend them to anyone who will listen. They are worth every cent they charge.

The technician who came to my home was prompt, professional, and courteous. However, he was unable to clear the clogged drain line, explained that the line needed replaced, and said we would get a quote for that work the next day. The quote never came, but in the mean time we did get the line replaced by another company for a price less than what Roto Rooter charged us to try and fail to fix the problem. I understand that the first attempt to solve a problem won't always work, but the failure to follow-up with a quote for additional work and the incredibly high price is the reason why I had to go elsewhere.

We've had a recurring problem spanning the last 6 years in which our main drain will clog, well away from the house. All the drains in the house will start running very slowly and then the kitchen and garage drains will start backing up every time we use any drain in the house. It's always a huge deal to get it cleaned out.This happened again last Friday and by the time my husband found out that our usual plumber is out of town until the end of the month it was Saturday.He took the advice of a friend of ours who also has a H/AC company (figured he'd know who was credible and who wasn't) and called this particular Roto-Rooter listing.A young man was out - on a Saturday - within the hour. Inside of an hour of his arrival he had our drain unplugged, had cleaned up his own [minimal] mess and the mess that was there when he arrived [not minimal]. He also answered our questions as to how to minimize the occurrence of this particular type of clog...which is, really, the only kind we ever get.He was polite, efficient, knowledgeable seemed to take pride in his work.I would definitely recommend this company and, specifically, this location to anyone!

Wonderful experience! We had our sump pump go out (unbeknownst to us) and when we found the flood and called, the service was exceptional start to finish. Every single team member was kind, professional, and timely. From the first phone call, everything was explained, including estimated costs, which were very reasonable. We had a new sump pump within 2 hours from my call and the clean up began. There were follow up visits and calls, and the professionalism was exceptional. A big thanks to Chad, Ray, Don, Rob and Jess who were outstanding! I can't recommend this company enough.

We had a torrential downpour of rain, with 70 mph winds that left us without power and a flooded basement. Since our water heater was in the same utility room as the sump pump, it was rendered inoperable due to the flooding. We initially called out one of RR's area competitors to service & quote the cost of a new unit. However, after price comparing we realized that Roto-Rooter was able to give us the best price on the same unit we needed; so we called and scheduled the first available service date. Our serviceman was prompt, professional, and friendly. He worked diligently and efficiently to get our hot water back in working order. There was some confusion on the actual work/=price (that was initially quoted from the office, as compared with what the serviceman quoted on-site,) but that was quickly resolved between the home office/ serviceman/ and customer accordingly. Overall, we appreciated our experience working with Roto-Rooter's company professionals, and expect that our new Bradford White water heater will work well for many years to come. Our thanks to all the RR employees we dealt with that helped us through an otherwise disastrous time. We sincerely appreciate it.

Technician arrived on time. He determined the issue was our main sewage line. We did not know if we have an outside clean out. He made a lot of effort in trying to locate it. We don't have one. After a good amount of time & difficulty he was able to get the drains to drain at a normal rate. I appreciate the technician, Mike, for his persistence in trying to locate an outside drain & for getting the drains to drain well. He explained we will need to have a camera scope done when we decide to have an outside cleanout installed.We will call them again.

I called and made the appointment because the sewer line was completely backed up due to tree roots in the line. They called and arrived early and were done fast. Very Professional and very friendly service at a responsible price (they even gave me advice on how to keep the problem from reoccurring). I would definitely refer Roto-Rooter to anyone having plumbing problems.

Evan was the Technician that came to unclog our pipe in the garage. He had to work around a water softener, a pressure tank and a hot water heater. He had to monouver his body all around these things to get to the drain. He did get the pipe unplugged there after having to chip away at cement. Once that was done, the Kitchen sink had black stuff coming into the sink. He then took the pipes apart and use the snake there for a plug. He went over and above trying to get our pipes draining again. He was very professional and kind. My Husband also helped him and they got along very well. Roto-Rooter got my drain unplugged. It took an hour and a half to not find a clean out drain outside. I was told it would cost more because he had to remove the toilet. Very polite and put shoe covers on to protect floors. He filled the tub with water three times,ran water in sink till he was done. It took two hours and fifty minutes to complete. He gave a six month warranty.

The serviceman arrived 2 hours after my call. He thoroughly explained and fixed the problem. He offered preventative suggestions to avoid a future reoccurrence. The serviceman was great. Very pleased with the service and would highly recommend.
I called and was quoted 480.00 to unclog the main drain in the basement. When they arrive I told them there was a trap 2 feet down and that's all the further I could get the said with confidence well get further than that. Well after a1/2 hour of trying they broke three the bottom of the trap destroying the drain. And charged me 480.00 for the damage. Had the call there supervisor the said the charge is the charge. I'll never do business with them again.

My daughter's house had a sewer backup issue in the basement and Roto-Rooter was very prompt, working our call in ahead of schedule. Receptionists Jolene and Nicole were very expedient and helpful. Technician Rob was excellent in quickly diagnosing that the issue was not in our line, but in the line along our street leading out to the main. It was an issue with a public sewer line, but the problem was that our line was not on the city blueprint for some reason, and therefore considered private initially. We and at least 3 other neighbors having this same issue feared we were collectively facing thousands of dollars to get it fixed ourselves. Roto-Rooter worked diligently with the City Sewer Department to get this issue fixed in a timely manner, far beyond our expectations! I’m a single dad. We had just moved into our home. I told them over the phone while making the appointment I could really only afford to address my plumbing issues in steps. 1 issue at a time. They agreed to that plan and sent someone out. Before the technician went down to my basement, I reiterated that I would like to address my issues individually so that it was communicated to him clearly what my expectations and my financial capabilities were and he agreed. After he evaluated plumbing we spoke again about what it would look like addressing these problems 1 by 1, and he told me he’d write up an estimate and get back with me in a week or less. He charged me $316 for the inspection and estimate, noting that $316 would be subtracted from the work performed.A week later he sent me an estimate and I asked him which issue we should address first as discussed, and that’s when he told me he would do the entire job, or none of it at all. Completely counter to every conversation we ever had and contradicted the only condition I had on making the appointment in the first place. Had I been told during my initial phone call, or at any point during the process, that there was a possibility that they would refuse to address my plumbing issues individually, I would not have made the appointment. They took my money under false pretenses and that’s the part that is unethical and dishonest. I’m a single dad, that $316 means a lot more to me than it did to them and the way that was handled is why I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone.

A young man came out to clean my outside clean-out. He was professional and kind and shared detailed information about what was going on. He did the best he could, but unfortunately I had another issue about a week later. When I called the company to explain the problem they were able to send someone else out again to resolve the problem. He was professional as well and did a thorough job fixing the problem and explaining while he worked. I would definitely recommend this company to others! They stand by their work!!
Called Roto-Rooter due to a leak from my tankless water heater and had Rob arrive on site for the inspection. If I were you I would personally ask for Rob. He has been in the industry for almost 30 years and patiently explains plumbing issues and answers any questions you might have. Rob personally saved me almost $1000 by suggesting that I get the unit at Menards because it was on sale and he had it installed within 2 hours of arrival on site. Would highly recommend this company specifically because of Rob and his expertise and integrity.

Service was excellent! Technition was curtious and knowledgeable plus got the job done on time. The downside: PRICEY!!! I have a double sink which one side was leaking and a busted disposal on the other. I had already purchased a new disposal threw a box store and was still charged $360 for the work. My wallet might be crying but at least it’s guaranteed work for a few months!

Great service! The service technician (John W) arrived and quickly was able to correct the problem with the drain. He was very professional. At our request he corrected several problems that existed (previous owner do-it-yourself project gone wrong) with the water lines under the sink, running some new lines and capping off an unused line that a previous owner had installed to a water filter. He tested and retested all leak points to verify that all the work was sound. I highly recommend the service from this firm.

Service desk was very friendly, I received a courtesy call prior to service tech arrival just as promised. Service tech was prompt, friendly and professional, he did a great job removing clog in main drain using a high pressure cleaner. I was able to see the clean drain pipe from the house to the city pipe via camera, very impressed. If needed, I will use them again.
Had a drain clog in my kitchen sink and washer drain. I was told it would be $129 service charge to diagnose the issue and would be waived if they performed services. I was not told that there was also an $80 trip fee, until the technician showed up. I would've called someone else out if I would've known that. They did fix the problem, and Evan was super nice and worked hard to fix the problem. I liked their services, but I would like up front pricing before I'm already committed to $129.Update: The company did call me to try to resolve the problem. I did get a partial refund of the trip fee. I do like the fact that they did try to rectify the mistake, but would still probably only use in a pinch knowing that there is the very expensive trip fee. $80 to drive an extra 10 minutes is a bit excessive.
We had water leaking in the basement when we woke up and we had it repaired by noon the same day for under $200.

I had a water softener removed that was installed with not so great solder joints. One joint had solder that had oozed out from the solder joint and was just left that way. I wanted all of the extra piping and the poor looking joints removed, even though they didn't leak. This was near one of my joists in the basement so the plumber from roto rooter was originally hesitant to remove it due to the fire risk with soldering in the area and it seemed too small for his press fit tool. Long story short, I sympathized and decided to leave that in. Well, he did the work, I checked it out, and he did end up doing it the way I originally wanted so that was great! He did manage to get the press fit tool in there. Quality work, and he was focused on my satisfaction so I'm a happy customer. A couple times now they've done quality work for me.
I've had them come out a couple times. Both times they were able to fit me in the same day and both times the techs were great. I will continue using them in the future.

I was having all kinds of trouble with my sewer pipes draining. I searched plumbers in the Fort Wayne yellow pages and made several calls. Roto-Rooter was the most reasonably priced and, to my surprise, they were here within an hour after I called. The tech was friendly and explained everything to me. Very happy with the service we received!

I came home from work to discover that my sump pump was not working. I called RotoRooter and the manager John was nice enough to talk to me on the phone to try and troubleshoot the problem. It was then concluded that we needed a new pump. A technician arrived at my house in about an hour. My technicians name was Nick. He was great! He took the time to explain the problem and how he would fix it. Nick removed the old pump and installed the new one in about 30 minutes. Start to finish I would definitely recommend RotoRooter!

He gave a lot of suggestions on how to keep our drain clear and what not to put down our garbage disposal. Great Service and Expertise!!! They were able to go outside of their ability to provide suggestions of what we needed and provide the best possible place to help us with this. Worst experience ever! Biggest rip off company! Makes you pay for something they won’t fix! Makes you sign a contract before even doing any work! Had 2 gentlemen come out to our house. 1st one broke our toilet and told us they’re not liable to replace it. I threw a fit and they eventually did fix it. And then sent out another guy, who was at our house for 6 hours and didn’t make anything better. Called a different company and within 2 hours they found the problem and told us that we were scammed by them! WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND!

We had a leak spring late at night. When there was not a tech available, their rep on the phone talked me through finding the water shutoff (which was well hidden in my dad’s old house). Then we had two great guys arrive the next day to fix the leak.
My grandmother called for a a couple of water leaks. The service tech totally misdiagnosed one of them , which was a shower drain, said the shower probably had a hairline crack and needed replaced. Call someone else as they don’t do that. It would have cost thousands to replace. I fixed it with a 1/2 hour of time and some silicone I had in my car. Don’t trust these guys. I would have rated zero stars if possible. She paid like $175 for an estimate. My dad and I fixed the other leak for $30 and about 3 hours.

Nice guy! came and got to the root of the problem almost immediately. We had another company come out and overcharge us to do absolutely nothing. Roto-Rooter came out here and relieved us of all of our problems and charged us less then what the other did. Addressed the issue right away that the other company completely failed to do. When I called to schedule, I was told that there would be a $314.95 trip charge , but that once I accepted and signed the contract, that amount would be deducted from the cost of the work done . The tech showed up and said that there was nothing he could do to help me, and suggested that I call a sewer and well drilling company.I called the office to ask for a reduction in the trip charge since I totally expected that the problem would be fixed , and that $314.95 would be part of the cost. And I still needed to hire someone else. Roto Rooter refused to negotiate with me. I learned another expensive lesson the hard way.

Our sump pump failed after 5-6 years of service and we had a catastrophic flood in our basement. The activation switch initially failed causing the huge flood, but was able to coax the pump to empty the basement before it failed completely. Roto-Rooter (who had installed that pump back then) came right over and installed a new pump. Now were considering some remediation help given the extent of the flooding, but that will be a write-up for another day. Highly recommend Roto-Rooter!

Had a back up in our pipe over the weekend that lead to water push back in our basement. Called two other companies on emergency line, neither still have contacted us back yet. Roto Rooter reached back within 20 minutes of the original call. Evan was sent out first thing Monday morning. As soon as Evan got here he was very personal with me and was not effected by my one year old and puppy that was running around the house the entire time. Evan got right to work, after two hours of auging the outside pipe he found the clog was from tree roots. Once he cleared the path he then educated us on the option to crystallize our pipe and how beneficial it may be with us fighting the tree roots. All of the work Evan had to complete to clear the pipe was very cost friendly, everything totaled up was less than $300. Strongly suggest using Roto for any of your plumbing needs!

In Fort Wayne Indiana on Christmas Eve during the delivery and installation of a new pair of Kenmore Washer and Dryer, a water line leak of a lead pipe below the shut off valve was discovered. Looking through the Yellow Pages I came across an ad and immediately called Roto-Rooter,it is a trusted company since 1935.A plumbing expert came and evaluated the job ,the cost and advised to contact City Utilities . City utilities came and shut off the water main. Roto-Rooter could not do the repair til the day after Christmas. Arrangements were made for 10 AM but the serviceman, a specialist plumber in lead pipes #163 was able to start the job by 8:20 AM.He was professional. It took five hours to repair the leak with little mess.It was a big job to the cost of well over $700 with a short warranty of the main branch line.....Steep for a senior citizen but will discuss the matter with City Utilities.The job is good. Thank you and my sister who submitted this review for me because I don't have a computer.

I called at 8:00 and was given a range of 12PM-2PM. Alex was there shortly after noon. He was very knowledgeable and took care of the clogged sewer line in about an hour. I couldn't find my clean-out so I had to pull a toilet. Alex suggested areas where I could look for the clean-out in order to avoid having to do that in the future. I appreciate his advice. I would definitely use them again. Rates were competitive, they were on-time, they took care of the issue quickly. Alex was excellent.

I can’t thank Chad and his team enough. I called in a panic because water was coming through my kitchen. They were at my house in 20 minutes. Chad has been empathetic, responsive, knowledgeable and helpful with mitigation and next steps. Chad has worked directly with my insurance agent and me to ensure everything was taken care of. Water damage is horrible but Chad and his team took a lot of stress off me with all the work they put in.
The charges just to come out & do zero work are ridiculous
Gravity failed our gravity basement on a Sunday evening. Roto-rooter was out in a timely manner given the Sunday evening timeline. They were unable to fix the problem with simple equipment, but came back the next day and got everything fixed. Great service guy too!

Roto-rooter was absolutely awesome! Ed (#170) was our service guy and he is very knowledgeable about the service he was providing. He explained everything in detail and didn't mind at all that I watched the whole procedure. That made me feel very comfortable about calling this company to service our drain. He ended up having to come back the next day to complete the job and the girls (Sherry, I think) made it possible for him to be back first call the next morning even though their day was already booked solid. Rob and his crew did an excellent job in excavating and replacing part of our sewer line. They finished the job quicker than I expected, and for less than the proposal's (NTE) estimated amount. Also they were helpful and courteous to listen and advise my neighbor who stopped by, who was experiencing similar sewer troubles. We feel like we have a relationship of trust with RR employee Rob, since he's almost always assigned to calls to our house, and has always served us fairly and competently over more than a decade.

I called Roto-Rooter's 24-hour line at 6:30 in the morning on a Wednesday because our shower wasn't working at all. They got back to me by 7:15 and had someone scheduled to come out by 8:00. At 9:00, I had heard from the plumber and made arrangements for the repair and payment. The work was done well, cleanly, and for a good price. I was so happy to have it taken care of while I was at work. They even gave us a bottle of drain cleaner, which was a nice touch. I'd definitely use them for future plumbing issues. Very responsive and quick to get back with us.

This company is beyond crooked. They charged me overtime prices back in June to unclog the clean out on one of our rental properties. Just over a month later it was clogged again. I called a different company to come out and look at it and they said the line was only cleared a short amount. They cleared it way further than roto rooter and kindly informed me that that is what roto rooter is known for. Since having this issue and talking with other customers, I am shocked at the 5 star reviews.

I was very satisfied with the service these guys provided to me here in downtown Ft. Wayne. Their plumber Mike, aswered any questions I had for him. Along with that, I found out some things I probably didn't want to know about my homes plumbing thanks to the the really cool snake camera they put into my main line to check the overall condition of it. In all thiough, the customer service was excellent over the phone and in person, and I must say that you definitely get your moneys worth with roto-rooter!

I had no issues with their service.
We used this company for the first time today. My initial experience with them was rather poor. They canceled the morning of my appointment after my service time was supposed to have started and after they had called and said they were coming. Cost me 2 days off work instead of 1. They said they would try and come out later that day but they never made it. Instead they came the following day. They actually showed up that day. As far as the service technician goes, Nick he was good. I have no complaints about the service technician. I would be however hesitant to use the company in the future because of reliability issues. They will give priority to commercial customers and cancel a residential customer over them. Even though it's very inconvenient for the resident. Other than that issue the work they did was good and the pricing was fair. I do feel they should have offered a discount or some kind of adjustment for canceling on me but that didn't happen. For these reasons I cannot give five stars.
Chandler and Doug were timely and took care of our disposal problem quickly. They answered all my questions and were very polite.
Wonderful experience. The plumber was friendly, polite and took the time to make sure I understood everything. I will certainly call them again if I have another problem.

My experience was good. The technician and myself thought that the drain was not plugged do to the amount of water flowing through the tile. So we deided not to have the line jetted and called back the furnace repair man to check it out again and he noticed that there was still something plugging the drain so I then called roto-rooter back out and I was givin a credit for the last visit and my line is now clean

He did not need to snake the drain as it was only the bathtub stopper that had broken off the chain. He also showed my husband how to take care of our drains. I had the drain in my garage back up and water and debri was all over. I called Roto Rooter and they were able to come over right away. When the technician James arrived he was able to identify the problem very quickly and worked very diligently to solve it. The estimate was spot on. He explained everything as he went and gave me suggestions on how to keep up maintenance to prevent this issue from happening again. I have used Roto Rooter in the past and would definitely use them again. Very happy with their service!

We had a very unprofessional experience with Roto Rooter that ended in no solution and a decent amount of money lost. We called Roto rooter because we were having flooding in our crawl space. This company claims to do water restoration and plumbing services, so they seemed like the best place to call. I clearly explained our situation to the phone operator and he helped me schedule for both a plumber AND a technician to come out so see if they could see what was going on. When the day of service came, they only sent a plumber who acted like he thought he was coming to unclog a pipe, which isn't close to the issue I explained over the phone. The man was rude and unprofessional from the very beginning. He shined a flashlight into our crawlspace and clean-out, told us he couldn't go down there or do anything, and offered to jet the line. While we were upset that he didn't look into the problem at all, we decided to go ahead with jetting the line. Just a few days prior, we were quoted approximately $400 for this job, but the plumber came back and said it would be over $900. When asked why the price was over double the initial quote, we were told they can't give accurate quotes over the phone. However, the plumber said there was no way it would ever be that cheap, if that's the case, why did the office give us a number? I feel like it's a marketing trick and do not appreciate the deception.I do understand why the plumber didn't want to go into the crawl space, however I clearly explained the situation BEFORE scheduling a service call and was told they could check it out. The plumber said they would never go into a wet crawlspace (again, I understand why) so why would the office send someone out knowing they couldn't do a thing?The only reasonable assumptions I can make: They knew they couldn't help before they came, and figured they would get a full $210 service fee for 5 minutes of work OR that we would give in and pay for jetting the line even though it was over double the initial quote.The rudeness we experienced from staff offered no other insight, so no other assumptions can be made. I am highly disappointed, hurt, and out $210 at a time when we are hurting to get this repair done at all.Please take my words into account before hiring this company. There is a major disconnect between the office and the technicians, and neither have good customer service skills.

Our main line was backed up, with no cleanout Matt was concerend when we couldn't get the camera down. After quite a bit of work he was able to get the snake down the drain and clear it. when he was done he even cleaned up after himself. I was very impressed.
My company has used Roto-Rooter for all our plumbing needs for the past three years. They always are quick to respond to any service call. The technicians are very professional.
Joel was able to do a great job replacing a drain pipe and toilet flange to get us back operational without needing any major access holes created. Would highly recommend.

Our technician, Tyler, was on time for the appointment and efficient in fixing our problem. He was knowledgeable and did not try to up sell any products/services we did not need. Tyler answered all of our questions. We would use Roto Rooter again if needed.

We had a sewage problem at our office, Church Doctor Ministries, and had consulted with several different area plumbers with no success in fixing it. As a last-ditch effort, we contacted Roto Rooter from Ft. Wayne and after about an hour, the plumber figured out the problem and had it working. Thanks!

Evan was amazing!! We had tree roots backing up our main drain. I put a same day request in online and he arrived on time with the hydro blaster, and cameras to see if it was necessary. Evan walked me through the process, showed me the roots in thr pipes (which were awful!), and explained how to keep up with thr aftercare. Evan was very thorough and professional. Thank you!!
Had water backing up a drain after washing clothes and other times. Called Rotorooter, had someone out the next day. The guys came at the beginning of the 11-1 time window I was given. They showed ran an auger, worked hard, showed me what they were dealing with using the camera. After the auger did as much as possible, they gave me the option of a hydrojet. After getting that, the roots were all cleaned out quite well.They were professional, cleaned up well, showed what they were doing. I recommend Steve and Chris.
I am surprisingly pleased with every aspect of my Roto-Rooter experience. The person taking the call was helpful and thorough. Someone else called to say the technician could be here and again was very helpful to speak with. So many companies now have a We'll be there when we get there: take it or leave it attitude. Roto-Rooter customer service was so much more considerate and pleasant to work with. The technician was great. Explained what was being done the entire process, how much everything would cost and offered knowledgeable advice. If every experience with Roto-Rooter is like this, no wonder they're a customer favorite. I will definitely call them again when the need arises.
Had to call a plumber and we've used Roto-rooter in Ft Wayne before. The float within our laundry (interior) sump pump had broken off & the pump wasn't kicking on. Bought both interior & exterior pumps previously from them & they've always done a good job for us. Also prompt when needed. After 45 mins or so, Rob was able to replace a broken strap which luckily prevented us from having to replace the pump. Nice tech, no complaints. I am rating them a 2/3 however because I feel they are a little high. $75 trip fee just to show up, and $75 hr for labor (plus parts) is a bit pricey in my opinion.

Lucas to our rescue! Our drain line was clogged with sludge and he did a fantastic, and very fast job of fixing our issue. Very professional and very open to listening to what I was explaining. He also discussed products that they offer, explaining exactly what they do, and how to use them. I never felt pressured to purchase any of the additional products, but did so since he did a great job of explaining everything. Very grateful for everything Lucas did and helped us with!

We had the bathtub drain at our second home that our oldest daughter stays in clog up this past Memorial Day weekend. We called a couple rooter companies on Tuesday after the Holiday, but all were busy, with earliest availabilities a week away - or longer. Roto-Rooter said We can be there tomorrow morning. Outstanding! You got the job!! They said it would be around $200 for the standard drain clearing, but the tech would take a look, assess the situation and provide a better estimate when on site. Pricey, but this needed fixed ASAP. The tech arrived the next day and started his work. After about an hour, he could not make any headway. He said he couldn't get much past the P-trap because there were too many curves between the tub drain and the clog. Bare in mind, all this was open to him, as the access covers had been removed, and the entire drain from the tub, and past the P-trap was fully visible. Long story short, he gave up trying after about an hour and called someone else who said we'd need to have their plumber come out to fix it. Ok, when can the plumber be on site? They said he could be on site the same day. Sure enough, a couple hours later, their plumber shows up. Because THIS guy is a licensed plumber, he can take apart the drain and get better access to the clog. After about another hour on site, the plumber cleared the clog.Here's why they didn't get 5 stars:Firstly, the original tech should have known - if he had any experience at all, that he could not get his machine past the two close-proximity curves that were 100% visible to him through the access panels. Secondly, we should not have had to pay the full $200+ price to clear the clog - if he couldn't even get much passed the P-trap. Upon 'assessment', he should have said, In my experience, I really doubt I can get far enough down the drain to ensure I get to any blockage that may be in the line before the main, and referred us to their plumber. Thirdly, if Roto-Rooter has a better tool in their toolbox (licensed plumbers), why do they send a guy who can literally do nothing but run the roto machine, especially if both the licensed plumber AND the roto machine operator make the same amount of money? The Roto-Rooter plumber's bill was an additional $200 - actually a few dollars LESS than the machine operator. So we paid over $400 for two hours worth of work, but the first hour accomplished nothing. When you're in a pinch, you're forced to take drastic measures to get things up and running again, but that doesn't mean you have to be taken advantage of. I feel we paid for a significant lack of experience by the first tech. He should have known he couldn't fix our problem due to the number of bends in the drain - that he could see. The $400+ total bill equates to over $200/hr - with only one hour being productive.The icing on the cake is, the P-trap now has a hole in the bottom of it from the hour of continuous grinding by the first tech. I thought about calling Roto-Rooter about this NEW leak, but I'm pretty sure they'd come out and claim it wasn't their fault, and try to charge us another significant fee to fix it. We'll just take care of it ourselves.Pros:-Quick to get on site.-Will use shoe covers on their shoes while in your home.-Polite techs.Cons:-Necessity driven (Little choice when you have to have your drains cleared).- Quite Expensive.-Sends techs to 'assess' first, who cannot properly assess the situation, forcing you to pay a second, qualified tech to actually fix the problem.Be aware that a $200 drain clearing can quickly escalated to over $400. I strongly recommend contacting a company that will send a licensed plumber straight away, or request the licensed plumber first - instead of just a machine operator, otherwise you may pay twice the price.

Working for a home builder, I often perform service work in our customers' homes. I never understood the apprehension of having a service tech invade my space until our sewer backed up at my home. We were forced to call on Roto-rooter to bail us out. One gentleman came, quickly assessed the situation, and gave us a fair quote to fix the problem. The next day, Jeremy and Nick came and, after creating an access to the drain (older home, had no clean-out), cleared the blockage. I was impressed with their familiarity with the procedure, as well as their friendly demeanors. The entire process was relatively painless for my wife and I, and it served to remind me that it is best to leave repairs in the hands of experts to get the job done right.

Mike the plumber for Fort Wayne Roto-Rooter came out on a Saturday and under extremely cold conditions, he was able to break thru not only one but three substantial root masses to get the lines reopened. Due to Mike’s integrity and great work ethics he stayed a little over 3 hours until the job was complete. I would hire Roto-Rooter again and I would request Mike to be the plumber to come out. Mike's experience and recommendations are worth their weight in gold.
My technician, Ed, gave us excellent service. He called ahead and was prompt. During the service at my in-laws' house, he helped educate my husband and explained what he was doing and what caused the problem. I have used Roto-Rooter at my business in the past and had excellent service there, as well. I would definitely recommend them!

I scheduled a Service Rep and clean-out for Friday Morning, they called before coming over and advised they were on the way (nice). They were on time. Asked good questions to fully understand my problem. They quickly opened the plugged line and then ran a camara thru the whole line to be sure everything was clean. Roto-Rooter has been my go to source for plumbing issues for years. They have always provided me with fast efficient service that I can rely on. So when I had clogged drain I couldn’t clear myself on July 2nd I knew who to call. That morning I scheduled my appointment and a half hour later Rotor-Rooter was there. Now the clog I had was no ordinary kitchen sink clog, our technician James (Tech 178) worked on the problem until it solved, when I think some plumbers would have given up or charged me much more than the original quote. Overall experience with this company was great. We decided to call them after our main line backed up for the second time in less than a year. Tyler, our service technician, was on time and very vocal about what needed to be done and what could be done to prevent future root problems. The entire appointment took less than an hour. The only reason for the four stars, instead of five, is the pricing. Invoice total was higher than what we were expecting and had seen from similar companies.Would still recommend Roto-Rooter for any plumbing issues in the future!
Doug was a friendly chap who showed up within the time window of my appointment. He smartly explained the basic mechanics of my issue and made my basement plumbing anxiety dwindle down to normal range.
My floor drain in the basement was backing up while doing laundry. I was quoted $3,600 for a collapsed sewer line form another company. I called Roto-Rooter for a second estimate. Rob came out and was incredibly professional. I explained the situation and he immediately went to work. He was able to clear the line and showed me the live feed from his camera out to 115 feet from my home. There was no collapsed sewer line. All clear. Rob's the man! Definitely recommend Roto-Rooter.

I loved how the receptionist could look up when Roto-Rooter had last been to service our sewer line, and could tell when the sewer line was last given the foamx treatment and augered. She knew right away what probably needed to be done. The service person arrived within the time I was told to expect him (within 45 min. of my call), and took care of the problem, just the way the receptionist was able to outline to me. In my experience, this is a very reliable company!This year I had a question about the advantages of the foamx treatment over the augering of our sewer line each year. The difference was explained thoroughly and I was given the choice about which treatment I wanted done this year...no pressure either way.
Doug did a fantastic job today was early and talk me thru what the problem was also made small talk I enjoyed his service and told me the issues and offered me extra to keep roots out my sewer. Doug gets 5 stars for his service thanks Roto Rooter

I've used other plumbing companies in the past and no other company has ever been able to help solve my drain problems (typically roots in the line) than Roto Rooter. I called them at 10pm on a Monday evening and they came out to fix my problem the very next day! The serviceman was very helpful and informative and was in and out within 1.25 hours! Always a good experience. They do a great job, whenever we have plumbing issues they are the ones we call whether it is for home or at the lake.
Rob was quick and efficient. He thoroughly explained answers to all of my questions and provided me with great information to mitigate any future issues.
I had a pipe snap in half, under my upstairs sink, at 3 in the morning. I contacted them and they told me that they would have someone call me at 7:30 in the morning to set up a service call. They did! When they called, they said their tech would be out between 8-10 to fix our pipe. They were! Their tech, John, said it would be around $300 to fix. It was less then their estimate! Needless to say, I am a very satisfied customer. Thanks a lot Roto-Rooter!

It was late Friday night and Mom had a clogged kitchen sink. Since Rotor-Rooter offers a 24-hour service, we were able to speak with a representative right away. Service was scheduled for the very next day. Rotor-Rooter's Service Technician, Nick, was punctual, professional , knowledgeable, and very pleasant. The clogged drain proved to be stubborn to clear, however, Nick worked non-stop until the job was complete. There were no hidden costs as the service was quoted before the technician started the job; what a nice feature! Thanks Rotor-Rooter!

Our kitchen drain was plugged, and backed up. We had never used Roto-Rooter before, but my wife's sister had used them in the past, and recommended them. Sean Weasel was the tech that was sent out. He did an excellent job and gave us some advice to reduce problems in the future. As my wife is a stay at home mom, she is the one that usually has to deal with service people. She stated that Sean was the nicest, most respectful tech who had ever been over to our house. He answered her questions without talking down to her, and was very thorough. As long as Sean is at Roto-rooter, we will continue to use them.

We had a clogged drain for our washer. Called and got an apt scheduled for later in the week (could have been next day but that didn’t work for me.) Dylan was on time and got the drain opened up within an hour. A good chunk of that time was waiting for our washer to fill. He was friendly and efficient. Their prices were reasonable and a big reason we tried them for the first time. We won’t hesitate to hire them again!
This is a rental. No technician made any attempt to contact me. Therefore I’m out $250 for something I did not need.
I was looking for a plumber in Fort Wayne because I had some sewage backing up in my basement. So I called Roto-Rooter. I got an appoinment for the next morning and the called to make sure I knew they were coming. The plumber arrived by 1:30 and cleared my line in under an hour. The plumber was very helpful with suggestions and even saved me some money. The service was excellent and value was great.

Our drains had backed up! Such a Stinky Mess. We called Roto Rooter and they came out the next day and solved our problem within the hour:) Tyler was our guy and had such a pretty face:) And a funny guy at that! He did an excellent job and made me laugh. How can you go wrong with that? I would 100% suggest Roto rooter to come and take care of all my plumbing needs(in our case it was tree roots). $338.00 and now we can shower, use the restroom etc. A huge Thank you!

I called in as I woke up to no hot water. When i contacted to make an appointment the customer service rep, who i believe her name was Joselyn, was very nice and was able to schedule a tech to come out and see me that day. The tech's came out and evaluated my water heater. Jeremy tried many many times to get the pilot lite to ignite but it just wouldn't stay. Tank was 8 years old so after Jeremy went over all of my options, I made the decision to have the tank replaced. Jeremy and Nick were able to come back out the very next day and they explained exactly what they were going to do and kept me in the loop the entire time. They were very nice and personable and couldn't have been more professional about the entire situation. End result was I finally had HOT WATER!!! Jeremy and Nick did a fantastic job and i will for sure be calling your company back for any further services i may need.

Fast, friendly service with a 90 day guarantee. The technician also gave us tips on how to avoid clogged drains in the future. Called several other places and it was a day or more wait. Roto-Rooter was out within 4 hours, on the day I called!
Last week, one of our pet crawled into one of our heat/AC ducts. After calling the fire dept. and animal control for assistance, they called our local Roto Rooter for help. After working for nearly three hours, they were able to extract the pet.We will be forever grateful for all of their help but the amazing thing is they would not take any payment for their three hours utilizing their three employees.Thanks so much to the owner of Roto Rooter and his employees.
What great service! They were here in 30 min. and the tech. was fabulous. He diagnosed the problem in minutes and completed the job in rapid time. Dax was professional, neat in appearance, and very helpful in answering our questions. I would recommend rotorooter to everyone. Arrival time was sooner than I anticipated!! They were able to unclog our toilet (which we came to find out was a dog toy) & also answered other questions we had regarding a drain!
My husband was here and he said he did ok but in less than 30 days another tech had to come back out for the same issues... I cant read the first tech writing I think his name was Dax 163!Now the second time they came out was today and it look like he did and excellant job and told us that the floor needed replacing under the toliet and he was right because the bathroom is being redone but they have not started yet until we got the plumbing issues under control. I had water from my washing machine backing up into my kitchen sink. I called on Monday afternoon and had my issue completely resolved by Tuesday at 9:45am. Not only was the job done quickly and by a skilled technician, but everyone I spoke to during the entire process was 150% professional and courteous the entire time. I live in Columbia City which is 30 mins away, made the appt at 1 and where there within the hour. Real professional, kind, courteous, and knowledgeable. And then ran a camera all the way down to just to make sure. Definitely worth the money.

Had a very positive experience with Roto Rooter in tense time this week. My sump pump stopped working and with temps rising it wasn't going to take long to experience an overflow. During what was, I'm sure, for them a busy time they had a technician, Rob, at my house to replace the pump BEFORE the time they had indicated. Rob was thorough, knowledgeable, & explained everything completely. I will use Roto Rooter again.

They arrived on time, were very courteous and knowledgeable. After they looked at the problem, they gave me a quote on the job. I could them approve it or not. The did a good job.
We called Roto-Rooter to have our toilet fixed. We had a leak in the bathroom which had rotted the flange away causing the bolts to become rusted and loose. Ed (#170) arrived promptly and efficiently repaired our toilet. Not only did he do a great job in repairing the toilet but he was kind enough to show us what had happened. I fancy myself a do-it-yourselfer, but I don't think I could have fixed the problem on my own. We were very happy with the service and thought the repair cost was very reasonable. We would definitely recommend calling Roto-Rooter for any plumbing problems you may encounter.

Had a washer drain pipe backing up, called them up to fix the issue! They came and tried their best to fix the back up the first time and even went back to their shop for more supplies to try different things. This was no fault of their own but they did not stop trying. Eventually the manager came out fixed the issue and even showed me what was wrong. I will definitely recommend this company to any one with Plumbing needs!

I appreciate that they wore their face masks and shoe coverings. They cleaned up after they were done, you didn't know that they were even there. I used this company because they were the only ones who were able to come on the day I called, for a minor emergency at my daughter's house. I have no issues with the work that they did. However, when picking a plumber you need to know that they charge by the hour. Maybe all of them in the local area do that, but my local plumber at home charges a flat fee for each particular job, so you know how much is going to cost before they start.I used my credit card to pay the 50% upfront fee when I accepted the proposal. My daughter wanted to use her card instead, but the company was going to charge me $25, normally $50, to issue a refund to my credit card. I guess they have to charge that because they're not making enough money at $180 an hour.
I contacted Roto-Rooter late one afternoon about a backed up drain and was able to schedule a next day appointment. The technician arrived on-time and was able to fix the problem quickly. The service came with a 3 month warranty. Highly recommended!

My washer drain was backing up into my sink. I put off calling for weeks worried about time and cost. I worried for no reason. I made an appointment online, received a confirmation call the next day. Service was fast, prompt and clean. The cost was also affordable. I should have called sooner!
On a weekday evening, our kitchen sink was clogged. We found out the hard way that the pipe to the kitchen sink also ran the washing machine water out on drain cycle. So, dirty water flowed all over our kitchen floor--under the fridge, in the vents--everywhere! We called a plumber as a last resort since they are expensive and it was two days before Thanksgiving. (We tried household drain cleaner and a short snake to try and get it unclogged before the huge water spill.) The only 24/7 plumber in the city was Roto-Rooter. They only have one plumber on call and he was already at a job. So, they put us on the schedule for the next morning. To my delight, Rob the plumber was there at 8 am. He was professional and friendly. He used a 75 foot snake auger down to the sewage line and was able to brake up the clog. It was done within 20 minutes and cost us $210. My only issue was the price. I am not sure what costs so much if all that was needed was an auger. We could have rented one for less than $50 and saved us a ton of money before the holidays. I know the guy doing all the work isn't getting most of that money, which in my opinion is bologna. I would hire them again if needed. Of course, I would try everything else possible beforehand to try and save the money!

We had a bit of an emergency over the weekend. Our water heater broke and because the intake valve was broken, it meant we had to turn water off to the whole house. As it was the weekend, emergency service was needed. The places that could come tacked one a large fee for it.Then we called Roto Rooter. Rob got us a better unit, lower price and it was installed within 3 hours of calling.Before you get a water heater or plumbing service somewhere else, call Roto Rooter!

Just had James #178 come out to clear a large clog from our drain and he was one of the nicest, friendliest and most informative folks we had ever met. He was professional yet we felt like he was one of the family. He loved our dogs and they responded well to him, he even took his boots off to ensure he didn't track into our house..it wasn't necessary but he did everything right and if we need service again, we will definitely call for him and use your service.

If there are any issues, they are quick to remedy the situation.I specifically want to mention one technician, Justin, who was the Water Restoration Specialist I dealt with. We had a complication with our lines and had multiple floods which required follow up service. He probably doesn't deal with the happiest people when he is called out, but he has a great attitude and is very consoling. He had a great attention to detail and was able to quickly organize a plan of attack to save our carpets. Honestly, because of the service I received from Justin specifically, I don't foresee myself looking for any other companies when I need work done in the future. WE had a blocked branch line and were referred to Roro-Rooter of Fort Wayne to use the jetter. When the technician arrived her determined that the jetter was not appropriate since there was no exterior clean-out port. Instead, he used an auger to cut through the blockage. He completed the task in less than 45 minutes and saved us a great deal by not having to use the jetter. Very pleased with his professionalism and speed. I give Roto-Rooter of Fort Wayne top marks and will certainly call on them again when I have need of a plumber.

We were in a pickle. Our bathtub and toilet were clogged and overflowing and we needed plumping ASAP!Ed was fantastic and came out same day. He was polite, professional and extremely quick to diagnose the problem. Turns out, the issue wasn't nearly as time consuming or expensive as we thought, and we were given a very fair price. We would definitely do business again!
My clogged toilet visit left me with two toilets still not flushing properly, a wobbly toilet, and a scratched up toilet bowl. I spent the following day pursuading to get technician to revisit my home without charging me. After hours of debate someone came out. I am not at all satisfied with my original service. My toilet bowl should have been removed and was not. The job was poor and I am highly disappointed with my experience.I used this company two years ago for a main drain issue and was pleased with my service.

Had a clogged kitchen sink drain on thanksgiving. It was more than 25 feet down the line as that’s all the further my snake can reach. Excellent job of sticking with the problem until it was resolved. I was stressing out a bit as I had exhausted all of my options and abilities. Jarrod said, “Don’t worry, we’ll get it figured out”. He did, and we couldn’t be happier.
We wanted to hire them to excavate our front yard..a 10 x 4 area and they said that they do not do that kind of work..even though the the ad in the telephone book says that they could.

I had a leak from the shutoff valve for the dishwasher. Initially, made a mistake in the scheduling and Roto Rooter was very courteous and quickly adjusted the schedule for the plumber to come out. Dax the service technician was awesome. Gave great information, was very polite and professional, gave recommendations, and talked about different options and what he recommended, and where it could have to go from there if the current fix didn't work. The price was high i think for the work done, but if I needed the further work done, I wouldn't hesitate to pay the price and request Dax do it.
When the first plumber we called cancelled 8 minutes before our appointment to fix a leaky and unusable kitchen sink, we knew it was time to find someone else. And I'm so glad we found Roto-Rooter. They came immediately and installed a new faucet and garbage disposal for us within hours. They were honest about what we did and didn't need -- no selling us on high end materials or extras -- and Rob was incredibly polite and thoughtful. We hope not to need them, but will definitely call them when we do.

All we needed was our garbage disposal installed (we had already purchased one). We called Roto-Rooter in Ft. Wayne and they got us scheduled for the next day (since it wasn't an emergency). The plumber arrived first thing in the morning, and was extremely friendly. He got right to work. My father-in-law had purchased the kit for us and he is no longer in the picture, and during the install, we came upon some problems as the kit we had purchased was missing a few parts. Our plumber was able to harvest some parts from our old one that were still in really good shape (the motor on the old one had died) and successfully install the new one and it works great! We would definitely use their services again.

I had a positive test for mold in my house in early May 2018, an obvious water stain on my kitchen ceiling, and the word of John at Roto-Rooter, who stated he would send me an estimate for the work the same night, May 23, 2018. I have yet to receive said estimate, and it’s June 4, 2018. My Dad and I have called the office multiple times, and the secretary only ever says she doesn’t have the estimate, which is less than helpful.I’m disabled from several severe chronic illnesses including CIRS (toxic mold), diagnosed in 2016 from exposure in my 20s. I’m living in a hotel and moving to a short term apartment very soon, because I can’t, by doctor’s orders, enter my own house. It was making me more sick than I was. I would be more forgiving if they just told me they couldn’t do the job, but they never did so. They obviously don’t care about disabled and sick people enough to return a phone call. What an absolute shameful commentary this reflects on this business.
It took three days and three different machines to finally unclog the drain. Professional service and persistence to get the job done correctly. Many thanks. However it plugged up again 32 days later and 30 day warranty had expired. A new service call at regular rates was the only option after 800$ spent 32 days ago. Did not have the money to pay for another service call so looking for another company.
I hired this company to fix an issue with water backing up in my basement of my rental property. The situation required they cut a hole in my basement floor, dig down, and fix a broken pipe. I was assured that it would look the same as it did before. The tech that came out to fix the pipe missed when cutting the hole in the floor, and proceeded to cut a second hole without calling first. Then left because the job couldn't be finished. Nobody from the company called me to update me on the situation, the tenant had to call to inform me that they could not use any water until the issue was resolved. No photos were taken by the tech either. That night I got a quote from the company to dig a hole in my yard to continue to fix the problem. The next day the first tech left for vacation and another tech went to the house upon my insistence. I asked that the tech contact me directly so that I could request photos. I requested this 3 times before the tech went to the house, then again around noon when I called to see if anyone was going to work on the issue that day. The second tech, who is also the shop manager never called me. He was able to get the clog resolved and the basement floor mostly patched, although it was a very poor and sloppy patch job, the concrete is pitted and not fully filled in in either of the 2 holes that were made. very poor communication, very poor professionalism, and very poor work. I advise any other company in Fort Wayne.

Called about locating the end of a yard drain. Drain was installed prior to home purchase and has never worked. Needed to locate where the drain ran so I could repair. Beware of bait and switch. We have a new home build and I had an estimate done to complete a basement bathroom(was rough plumbed). I called to get the work scheduled and they updated my quote since 30 days had past. It was an increase of less than $100. No problem. The tech showed up to do the work and said he couldn’t even remember being here and that he would need to write a new proposal. I felt like that was shady and told him thanks but no thanks. I called their office to voice my concerns and question their business practices and the tech had told her that WE CHANGED THE PLUMBING!!!!! So he had gone from not remembering to now we were rogue diy plumbers. No. We changed nothing. I have since decided to go with another company. I would not- will not- use Roto Rooter not would I recommend that anyone else does either.
There was a frozen water pipe at my home over the weekend. Not only did they help me to perform initial repairs myself (containing the problem), but they also came out twice to solve the problem. Prompt service that took care of my issue immediately. My garage floor drain was clogged with who knows what. The technician came out, diagnosed the problem, gave me an estimate, and then took care of it. The final total was less than the estimate. Great service.

Roto-Rooter was able to give me a couple of ideas on pricing based off of the information that I provided them about my problem. I called other local plumbers but all of them gave me a much larger quote price range with a longer wait for an appointment. The Roto-Rooter serviceman came the next day, showed up on time, and was able to quickly clear a drain clog and provide this service for the minimum quote they provided. He even gave me advice on using a store brand product to help reduce the risks of the same issue from happening again. He didn't pressure me into purchasing it from him and was very courteous throughout the entire visit. I would highly recommend them to both friends and family.
They came out in a very timely manner and cleaned out several things flushed by kids over the years causing the toilet to flush slowly. The technician was very friendly, funny and didn’t charge me to replace the wax ring and a couple other things other plumbers would’ve added to their bill. He was kind and very very helpful with tips on what to do in the future and I will most certainly be calling them again with any future plumbing issues

Prompt service, quick fix, easy payment
Tyler's 2nd visit to my home, this time to replace the kitchen faucet that had been leaking badly. While he was here he recommended some additional work that should be done ... replacing the water shut-off valves under the kitchen sink and in the main bathroom. They definitely do need replacing as the water will not shut off from the valves presently in place (found out the hard way last Christmas when we had a bad backup). Also recommended perhaps a toilet replacement. Once I can get my finances in line, I will be calling again for the valve repairs. This company is so easy to work with ... the tech shows up on time and is knowledgeable & friendly as well as a great company representative.
The 2 professional plumbers were at my residence within 30 minutes. They explained what they would do and the price involved. Then once I said OK, they were done and cleaned up within a very short time span. I'm very pleased with the performance and would recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone I know. Thanks guys, my family appreciates it!

After having a bad experience with another plumbing company (not fixing the problem, leaving a huge, disgusting mess behind) we called Roto-Rooter of Fort Wayne, IN. We had a back up in our sump pump and you could smell it through our whole house. Roto-Rooter showed up when they told us they would and were able to fix the problem. They were quick, professional, clean, and very effective. Next time we won't make the mistake of calling someone else. We will definitely use Roto-Rooter of Fort Wayne again.

Technician arrive in a timely manner. Came into my home with his shoes cover as to not mess up the floors. The technician advise me of the best solutions for my problem and was open and honest about the cost and how long it would take. Over all I was happy with the service that I received.
The technicians were very knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. All of our questions were answered, and services were explained up front, including best and worst case scenarios. They were able to come out the same day and restore our service. Recommendations to prevent future problems were provided. We couldn't ask for better service!
The tech I had today, Evan, was great. He was professional and courteous. He explained the issue in plain terms. The tech gets 5 starsHowever, the company as a whole does not get held in such high regard. In 2013 Roto Rooter recommended service to replace my line that runs from the house to the street because the existing line was clay and had been compromised by tree roots. I was told that allowing RR to replace the line would resolve the issue I was having where they had to come out each year and clear my line. So I spent the $2600 to get the work done and cut down the tree as well. Well today's service was for the same problem.... to clear tree roots. While I am pleased it has been a 7 year run since I've had to do this, I am not pleased that the issue was not completely resolved by replacing the line and spending all that money years ago. RR is not the cheapest in the business and I didn't get any returning customer discounts either.

Clogged garage floor drain caused flooding whenever the water softener regenerated. Water heater was installed OVER the drain, making access a challenge. Mike did a great job, my floor is dry now.
The techs were very professional and helpful ( especially Ed) I would recommend the plumbers and Ft Wayne.. They came out the day after Thanksgiving @ 10am and finished the job @ 6pm! Fast, Friendly, and Fair !!Here's why:I discovered a potential weekend ruining issue yesterday evening, our main sewer line was clogged and backing up. I needed help right away and didn't want to wait until Monday. Roto-Rooter was the first place I thought of.I called last night just after 6pm and they answered the phone quickly. Explained that I needed my main sewer line cleaned out. The lady was very friendly, took my info, and said the technician would call me shortly. Within 1-2 minutes Danny called me, gave me a price, and said he was available immediately to come over. I called two other places to check pricing, Korte wanted $150 more than Roto-Rooter, and the other place I called supposedly offered 24/7 service, but didn't answer the phone. I called Danny back about 15 minutes after our initial conversation, agreed to have him come out, and he got there within 30 minutes later as promised.Danny was friendly, very knowledgeable, and just a straight up good guy. He got to work immediately, found our issue right away (tree roots as suspected), and got us fixed up before nightfall. He gave me some good information on how to prevent the problem in the future, a heads up on another issue that I will need to address (clean-out piping is broken and shifted badly), and was friendly with my daughter as well (7 year old girls just have to know what's going on).So to recap, this was a perfect example of how to take care of a customer:- Answered the phone quickly and politely.- Gave a fair, honest, and upfront estimate of cost for the repair and the time frame they were available to do the work.- Showed up when promised.- Did the job quickly and efficiently for the agreed price.- Have Danny working for you, that guy did an awesome job.Thanks for helping me out of a serious jam (literally),Travis Smith

Setup an appointment online at 11PM. They called at 7AM to confirm and were there shortly after 8AM. The repair was completed in an hour and they charged over $100 less than what they estimated. Wonderful service. Thanks!

I,m writing this review for my mother-in-law Ellen Baca or Helen Baca as you have it. She was very satisfied with everything, from James, your employee who order the new handicapped toilet we replaced, to installing it himself. I would definitely used Roto-Rooter again.

I was looking for a plumber because of a drainage problem, so I called Roto-Rooter of Fort Wayne. I was given an approximate time the service man would arrive.They called back with in minutes to say they were just finishing a job about a half hour away and would stop by when they completed the other job. They arrived with in a short period of time. The service man was very professional, and knowledgeable. He checked the area where I thought the blockage may be, and was able to tell me exactly where and what the problem was.He was able to pin point the location of a broken pipe in my yard. I was very happy with the service and would highly recommed the company.

Fantastic service. Very prompt and always called before sending a service technician out. When the first service technician came to look at our pipe and realized it was a much larger repair than initially expected, he called a colleague free of charge to come make sure there was not an immediate leak that we could put off and get the proper authorization from our insurance company. Once they received authorization, they were able to schedule a repair within a couple of days!

I called Roto-Rooter early Monday morning 10/19. Was scheduled for 12:00-2:00. I did not go to work so I could let the plumber in. 1:15 I received a call telling me the plumber is running behind & won't be to my house until 2:00-4:00. I told the gal I'd be here, but had I known it would be that late, I would have gone to work. 4:00 came and went. No Plumber. I called, and was told by a different gal that I was scheduled for 3:00-5:00! ... Um, no... The original appointment was 12:00-2:00... The plumber showed up just before 5:00, snaked the tub then charged us $172.00. No apology, no explanation, no discount. We will not be calling Roto-Rooter again. OVERPRICED. NOT DEPENDABLE.

They were actually able to come out a day early and clear our sump pump drain lines. It worked out much better for our schedule. Especially since more rain was in the weather forecast.
147521 James was our technician. He knew exactly what he was doing and was very friendly. Over all he did an awesome job.
These guys were great! I had an issue with my laundry machine not draining and they cleaned the line so I wouldn't have any more overflow. Tyler was very helpful and knowledgeable, and also familiar with the area! Would certainly recommend these guys.
I called at 8AM to have a corroded pipe replaced under our bathroom sink. Matt, the technician, was here at 855AM. He was very nice and got the job done in 20 minutes flat. Superb customer service and a very friendly technician. A++

Great service- called after hours and had a return call within five minues and he was here within fifteen and he set up and had my mainline cleared and everything cleaned up within an hour. NIck was great at explaining everything and how the warrenty worked anda great representative of the company.

Technician came in the time frame specified and was great. He identified the issue very quickly. My sewage pump needed to be replaced. He gave me an initial estimate of between $800 - $1200. He left to get a pump and when he came back he said he got one at a good price. Bottom line: my bill was less than the estimate - $703.58!I was very pleased.

I was in a pinch to find a plumber in Fort Wayne due to roots invading my sewer line. It was a real headache, not to mention the mess! After a quick search on the BBB for local plumbers, I found that the best choice was Roto-Rooter. I called them up, they got me scheduled right in and were out at my house in no time. Everyone I spoke with and dealt with there were very professional and very knowledgeable. They used their waterjet system and made the pipes look like new, I was very impressed. If you are having an issue, look no further!
We had them a couple times dealing with our plumbing issues. John was amazing and very helpful! He explained why our pipes were freezing and also how to make sure it doesn’t happen again. They also cleaned out drain pipe due to tree roots getting in and it was a very quick and easy experience. We are very grateful to have found this guys! Highly recommend and 5 stars all around.

9:30 pm in the evening and my Sump pump decided it was time to stop working. I called the Roto Rooter emergency number as water was beginning to flood my basement. The operator told me a tech would call me back shortly - ya, sure. Well, she wasn't kidding as Tyler (RR tech) called me back in less than 5 minutes !! I explained my problem and he demonstrated his ample knowledge by suggesting a temporary resolution over the phone. It WORKED !!! I was able to stop the flooding, at least for the night, saving me the extra cost of an emergency service call.As promised, Tyler arrived at my home at 8:30 the next morning to affect a permanent fix. He got right to work, expertly replacing the old pump and check valve. His work was excellent, his attitude A+ professional, and his concern that I was completely satisfied was greatly appreciated. I don't want another plumbing emergency, but if I do, I will surly call Roto Rooter and request Tyler. Nice to know there are reliable, knowledgeable, and personable pros willing and able to do a job the right way. Thanks !!
The team came out the same day I called to consult about a backed up sewage issue I was having my basement. The next day they came back and fixed the issue along with explaining, in detail, every step of the process. They even had the patience to answer questions from my young sons and showed them the camera on the drain snake. Highly recommended and will use again in the future for any needs.

I have recently moved to Ft Wayne and my garbage disposal stopped working. I thought I could just ignore it and everything would be fine. Well about a week later, my drain started becoming a slow drain. I needed to get ahold of a plumber and chose Roto-Rooter due to knowing their brand name. (this is my first time ever needing a plumber). They were extremely professional on the phone and helpful.They offered to send a tech out right away - which was great. He came and after trouble shooting told me my disposal was shot. He walked me through how to use them properly in the future and only took about 30 minutes to install it. Extremely helpful. I would highly recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone needing someone quickly that will take care of you. They even called the following day to follow up on the service. All around a great experience!
We have used Roto-Rooter several times, and have always been happy with their service. During our most recent service, the technician, Nick, was very professional and efficient at resolving our plumbing issue.
I am a small business owner that strives to exceed expectations for all my customers. That's exactly what John did when my sump pump failed. My first great impression was how quickly they responded when I called on Sunday!! Within minutes I was on the phone with a technician to discuss my problem. After scheduling an appointment Rotor Rooter calls you to alert you that the technician is on the way. When John arrived, he worked diligently into the evening to ensure my issue was resolved that night. John went above and beyond by replacing a working check valve with a newer style that would help eliminate noise I casually mentioned. He also cleaned up some rust spots on our geothermal unit and other areas from a previous water leak not associated with the sump issue. One of my pet peeves is technicians that do work and do not clean up after themselves. John left my mechanical room cleaner that when he arrived; even the flakes of PVC from cutting and fitting pipes.My overall experience was excellent, from start to finish. I would highly recommend them for all your plumbing and drain needs.

These people are the professionals. I just moved into a new house, and the kitchen sink would not drain properly, even after many attempts of my own to plunge it. All I had to do was fill out a form on the Roto-Rooter website that took like 30 seconds. Got a call in a half hour and two experts were out at my house within an hour after that. Within an hour after that, my kitchen sink was draining perfectly. They even identified another leak under my sink and told me how to easily fix it since it would be much less expensive than paying them to do it. All this for under $200. As a first-time home owner, they made a very good first impression. I definitely will not hesitate to contact Roto-Rooter the next time I need a plumbing solution!

On Friday, Sept 22nd my bathroom flooded due to roots in my water laine. I called and had a tech, Jeremy W, come out same day. He was very prompt, knowledgeable, and kind. He explained throughly the problem giving me several options to fix my problem. He completed the job several hours and did a fantastic job. I am grateful for the excellent customer service as I was having a difficult day due to just having to put my beloved pet down unexpectedly. Great Emergency Service!I called around 8 oclock p.m. looking for someone to clear my kitchen drain. The person I spoke with was very friendly, and she told me she would have someone call to set up an after hours appointment. Within 10 to 20 minutes, Nick called and said he could be at my house in 10 to 20 Minutes! ... and sure enough, Nick arrived in 15 minutes. He was so friendly, and even my cat, Toby trusted him right away. He assessed the problem very fast and brought in his snake tools to clear my kitchen drain. Within minutes, my kitchen drain was cleared of what Nick called 20 years of backed up soap scum, food and gunk, as the clog was about 8 feet into the pipe, much farther than I would have been able to remove the clog myself. I have never had to call a plumber before, but would call Roto-Rooter again in a heartbeat! Very professional; cleaned up after himself, wore booties, and was so friendly. If that is the type of personnel Roto-Rooter hires, they have my business!

I made an appointment for 1:00 Monday and I finally called the office when no one showed up. Then I made another appointment for Tuesday - same results: no one showed up, no one called. Then they switched appointment to first one Wednesday morning, 9:00. Again, no one called, no one showed. I called - again - and was told a tech was on his way. He finally got here, over 1 1/2 hour late.Although the tech himself was great, I was hung up for three days for a 10-minute job and $150.

Plumber was knowledgeable and quickly accessed our water problem. He was fast and efficient in conducting the service to unplug our outside main line drain. Secretary was very friendly and responded quickly to our call. My only complaint is that they should remove water cleanup from their name. Had to get a toilet snaked out and a new wax ring put in and the guy was great. Let my 6 yr. old son watch and explained everything he was doing...super great service.
Technician came out and discovered the backed up drains were the result of the ejector pump not pumping. He kicked it and got it to pump again, which cleared the drains of course; but then it wouldn't turn off. He recommended replacement -- which seemed reasonable. He left, got a new pump and replaced it. The next day, the drains were backing up again. I kicked the pump and they cleared. Opened the pit to find that the pipe clamp had a long tail that was blocking the pump float, so it would either get stuck above or below it, forcing it to run continuously or not run at all. Exactly like the first pump. I really don't think the pump required replacement at this point. I cut the tail off the clamp and now it works great.
Service was timely, accurate and complete. the technician knew what the problem was and how to fix it from my description. Other emergency service plumbers were not available or could not come in a timely manner. None knew the problem from my description.Technician was knowledgeable, explained what needed to be done and did it expeditiously. They will be my first call if a similar problem occurs in the future

They are the best in Fort Wayne imo!Once again today on 2-11-2013 i had to have Rob the tech out to jet my line from my tree roots getting in it. Had a blockage of roots in our sewer line that was backing our plumbing up. They were able to come out the same day, and resolve it. They had issues finding the sewer clean-out. The tech called his boss and they both spent about a half hour looking for it util they found it. All together they were pretty amazing.
The plumber sent by Roto Rooter to our Fort Wayne, Indiana address did an excellent job. He presented an excellent appearance, gave knowledgeable information and proceeded to clean the clogged drains immediately. He wasthorough and careful in explaining his work. He did not give up until he wasassured our problem was taken care of and offered a treatment solution toprevent future problems. He did not try to hard sell' his services and attendedto our problem in a plesant and professional manner. He did an outstanding job.

Tyler was professional and efficient, he was able to quickly clear whatever was causing the clog in the kitchen sink. I would not hesitate to contact Roto-Rooter again should a need arise.
I've used them in the past and often wondered why a job spans over days and multiple bills worth of hundreds of dollars. Last month, I called them when my house was flooding due to a root-clogged perimeter drain. They sent a technician and he used a cutting blade on his auger and got it stuck. This was on a Saturday morning and it was pouring rain still. He said he'd come back Tuesday at the earliest to retrieve his auger and billed me almost $200 & said it will be about $410 to retrieve the stuck cable! So now I'm stuck with a completely clogged perimeter drain, with an auger cable stuck in it, with a ball of roots at the end of it, and have to wait until TUESDAY. Luckily the rain subsided and I didn't have to stand guard in my finished basement with a shop-vac any longer. Tuesday came and went and I had 5 calls into Roto-Rooter to talk with the supervisor that promised to have the stuck auger cable removed. Wednesday I pay a different plumber to remove the cable, it cost $75, plus the other plumber finished augering the drain and removed all the roots since he had the correct procedure and noted that the Roto Rooter should have never put a big cutting blade into my perimeter drain like they did. Wednesday evening a Roto Rooter technician showed up at my door requesting their cable. No appointment, no call back. When I told them it had been pulled out by another plumber and snapped twice during the procedure, he simply walked off. Very unprofessional and this will be the last time I get hosed by this company.
The service technician was polite and professional. Had my toilet unclogged in no time. Very knowledgeable. Gave me some pointers I can use to keep my toilets from clogging up.

Roto-Rooter Plumbing and Drain Service of Ft Wayne has by far exceeded our expectations!!! We were having trouble with our plumbing/drains in the house caused by roots that had clogged our pipes outside the front of the house. I called Roto-Rooter late one afternoon and they were able to send a plumber out the very next morning to service our home. We are a repeat customer and will continue to be in the years to come for routine maintenance. Following our services, they called to ensure everything was back to working properly. I can’t say I have ever had a company care as much as they do!! And we have a 6 month guarantee should we have any problems. I don’t usually leave reviews and if I do it is always good review, it took me for ever to write this review because I feel like the tech stole from me.I called them because I have a leak under my driveway, when the plumber showed up he right away said we can’t do this but let me look at it… he didn’t use any tools at all and then told me we will send you an estimate, I said I thought you couldn’t do this his response was I am gonna give you an estimate and he wanted me to pay him for showing up. I did pay him the $100 and I got an estimate a week later for $5500 all for just guessing game. He just wanted the service fee for showing up and he had no clue what he is going to do to fix the problem.I called another company and the came with the right equipment and located the water line and the repair is going to cost $2500 and didn’t charge me anything for showing up.

Roto-rooter showed up right on time. Gave a quote after looking at drain problem. Then they found that a section of kitchen drain was installed backwards hindering drainage and the use of their equipment. The techs then in formed me of the problem and offered to fix it for a small fee. Great job guys! Even cleaned up all of the mess they made. Very happy to use roto-rooter in the future. First call i make will be to them.

Fast, friendly, and knowledgeable! I would definitely recommend this business to anyone that is having issues with their garbage disposal.
Called in late afternoon and they offered to come out that day or evening. Since it was not emergency I made apt for next day. Rob, the tech, was here promptly on time and very friendly. He didn't have his usual equipment/truck so I loaned him an extension cord and he was kind enough to put it neatly back in my garage. The line from the back of my house gets clogged with roots from neighbor's tree. Rob spent quite some time cleaning out the mess. When finished he explained thoroughly what he did. He then offered me a better service of the water jet line which as he explained would do a better job. Comes with option a yearly application of root killing product which will keep my line cleaned out better. I was very pleased with prompt appointment and a very nice tech who did a great job on a very cold day!

I was replacing my kitchen faucet when I accidentally tightened a little too hard and sprung a leak where my T-Valve connects to my water source. After doing some quick Googling I found Roto-Rooter and gave them a call. I was quickly connected to the after hours (did I mention this was a Friday at 7:45pm) support technician who quickly came to my house. While there the technician was extremely courteous and very helpful. We was able to replace the T-Valve and also made sure my faucet was install correctly! I was/am extremely happy with the services that were provided and would recommend them to anyone! Thank you very much Roto-Rooter!!!

We called Roto-Rooter at 7:00am and they had someone at our home by 9:15am getting rid of the 2 inches of water we discovered the evening before. Justin was professional and informative! After he was complete Nick showed up and tried to snake our drain with 2 different snakes sizes but was unsuccessful so he promised to be back on Monday morning with a heavy duty snake! Nick brought John and together the heavy duty snake did the job! Nick and John were very professional and let us know exactly what they were doing. Get estimates from other places. I had a mainline cleared out by them and it cost my over $500. They wanted to charge me another 2k, yes 2k to replace it. I called another local company and they were able to do the work for $800 less, and the work that they did was not neccesary if the pipe was going to be replaced anyway. I would highly suggest anyone else.

I called on a Saturday night, I spoke with James who was very helpfull and explained what was happening over the phone with what I told him had gone wrong with my plumbing, he then had Rob, who was the one who came to my house (the next day) and unclogged my pipes, he told me exactly what James had thought it could be but also found the actual problem! dylan was nice. i had to have him come out 2 times within a few days of each other one to do the main line and one to do the inside line. i was a little disappointed that if the tech were given a camera to look inside the lines i may have been able to save from having to do both lines to know what the problem was.
I called, they showed up in 20 minutes, fixed the problem in 30 minutes and the price was reasonable. I was VERY happy!
Ryan was the Service Technician who solved our water drainage problem. He was very thorough, took extra care to keep the property clean (inside and out), and worked very diligently in some pretty adverse weather (cold, rain and sleet) until the problem was solved. I highly recommend Roto-Rooter!

The receptionist who answers their phone is very friendly. They gave me a time of 12 - 2 that same day and I received a call about 30 minutes prior to the beginning time range that someone was available and on their way. The technician was very friendly, gave me as estimate quote, did his work in a timely manner, cleaned up the area afterwards, explained what was causing the issue, give advice on how to maintain the drainage issue with regular application of enzymes. The cost was reasonable. I have used them in the past and will continue to call them should I have plumbing/drainage issues in the future.

Very good sewer service. They got 4 stars because they can only snake out to 100 feet and my sewer line is about 130 feet. Other sewer businesses told me they could have added an extension and cleaned out to over 130 feet.

Roto-Rooter of Fort Wayne are the only plumber's for me. They know what to do and they do a great job. I needed my main line cleaned out because it's has a lot of root's in it.The plumber that Roto-Rooter sent out MATT had to jet the line. At first MATT thought the line might have broken but MATT didn't give up. Matt got through the mass of root's in my main line with the jetter. I know that my main line is going to need repaired the right way. When it's time for that Roto-Rooter's of Fort Wayne are the plumber's I'll call.

Doug my service technician was very polite, knowledgeable and got my plugged drain line open is a short period of time. He explained what the clog appeared to be. He also informed me that Rotorooter had a 6 month guarantee that should the line get plugged again within 6 months they would come back and clean the line again at no charge. I've been using Roto-Rooter to remove tree roots from my main line for several years. They have never failed at being honest or efficient.
Lucas was great. Friendly and professional.
Dakota was quick and efficient. We had tree roots taking over and he came and cleared them all out. In the past we were told the clean out could not be found. He went out and dug around until he located it. We were so happy with his service! He was very friendly and took time to explain everything he was doing.
Tech was prompt courteous and knowledgeable. Work was done quickly and best of all got the sewer flowing! Hydro jet is definitely the way to go.
Rob got in there and cleaned out my show drain !

The techs were polite and were very professional. Especially given how they wore masks like they're supposed to during these times.
I had an issue and had to shut water off. I tried 5 different companies. ROTO Rooter was the only one who came out that day and the next to get the job done. Very professional and ficed a previous companies mistake. Very affordable especislly under the situation. Would highly recomend to anyone!!@

ABOVE AND BEYOND! Thank you to Rob and John and John (owner) for the recent fix to my sewer line. Rob and John did a fantastic job fixing the broken sewer line! But what I most appreciate is that my A/C unit was in the way so they arranged for John (owner) to come out and remove and then later re-attach my A/C unit. John (owner) came back late in the evening to re-attach the A/C unit after a LONG day. What a great group of guys and a working owner is a rare thing to find these days. I would highly recommend Roto-Rooter!

We called & Dan was out very fast, cleared our drain & put root stuff down the drain & we'll call again every year to pour that stuff into our drains again. Root killer we were buying didn't do anything. Our technician was very fast & professional. Will recommend Roto-rooter to everyone. Thank you
Over the weekend we had plumbing problems, my husband contacted Roto-Rooter on Saturday evening. Our technician that assisted us was, Tyler. He did an excellent job and was very professional. Had an emergency plumbing issue called two other plumbing companies and neither called back. So after half hour of waiting and water leaking on my bathroom floor, I called Roto-Rooter and within 15 min after calling he came and fixed the problem.
Doug was very courteous,kind and explained all my questions in detail. He cleaned up after his work and left everything spotless. I'll continue to use Roto-rooter for future needs.
Able to get same day service. Service person checked several areas to make sure the problem was in the suspected area, back up from the washing machine drain. Would recommend their service to others.

Rob is very friendly and really seem to know exactly what he is doing and taken his time to make sure everything work perfectly.
Bad service got the John done no problem.
It was such a relieve that they are available 24/7 when an emergency comes up. When I called I was told when they would be at my house and then called when they were on there way. They were extremely thorough and professional. They explained the problem and what they were going to do to fix it. I wouldn't think twice about using them again.

Great service and rapid response, Alec was there within an hour of my call. He had the clog cleared in about 30 min. Alec was well dressed, polite and professional. The clog was in a floor drain in the garage and Alec even went online to help me locate a new drain cover. Fantastic service.

I can’t believe I’m saying this but Roto Rooter was an absolute blast to have at the home; took a terrible sewer back up and turned it into a grand experience. Dylan was an absolutely incredible person to talk to; very professional, knowledgeable, and efficient with his work. I would recommend this business any time you have a plumbing issue and ask for Dylan if you can!!
We called for emergency service on a Sunday during a Holiday weekend. The serviceman arrived within 30 minutes! He was prompt. professional, cheerful, friendly, and fast. After a clogged kitchen sink through a wrench in our Christmas day dinner preparation on Christmas Eve, we contacted Roto Rooter. They were fast and courteous. Our plumber did a wonderful job of explaining what he was doing and cleaning up after he was done. Thanks for coming to the rescue!
On time and very professional. And when the problem reoccurred shortly after they had left, they turned right around and came back to fix the problem and made double sure that the problem was resolved before they left again. very pleased.

Called and got a same day appointment on a Monday. Got the issue taken care of within an hour or so.Biggest problem is they reused the same gasket on the toilet when resetting it. Not sure if that is standard in the business but looks like I will be pulling it again and putting a new one on which is something they already charged me for.

I appreciated the quick response to my plumbing issue. Doug the plumber was patient, friendly, professional and worked diligently to track and locate the problem. I would definitely use them again. It is hard to trust repair people and Doug as well as the staff at the Fort Wayne location put aside any of my qualms I may have had prior to calling. On September 30, 2017, I called Roto-Rooter for a problem I was having with the toilet in my bathroom. The service technician that arrived was Tyler. Tyler was very professional, polite and efficient. He did an excellent job. I have called Roto-Rooter many times throughout the past several years and each time the service was outstanding. I appreciate having Roto-Rooter to depend on whenever a plumbing emergency occurs. I find them trustworthy and they go well above what is expected. Rotor-Rooter came out and fixed the problem but had to come out twice and charged use for two different machines doubling the cost of the original quote. They should have told use of all of the options over the phone. But the rep the sent out ED was amazing he was very nice and helpful made sure we understood everything and made sure that we were satisfied with what he did. They did offer us a quick appointment time and ED was very prompt. Rep was great but price is high .
Evan was very informative & professional. He was polite. He found the issue immediately & rectified it. We are very pleased & recomend him highly!!

I felt I was being strong-armed into a service I did not need/want. After much bickering we eventually settled the dispute. But the way I was treated by the Customer service manager (Matt) was not appreciated. an interesting trend I notice on this company's reviews: they never admit blame. its as if the company's mantra is Blame the Customer. Which was very much in line with my experience. I will certainly not spend another dime at Roto-Rooter

Our sewer line backed up and we were in need of a plumber in the Ft. Wayne area. We called Roto-Rooter and although Rob, the service tech on call, could not come out that evening he did what he could over the phone and informed us he would call first thing in the morning. He called exactly when he said and came immediately over. He took care of the problem and even went above and beyond in answering plumbing questions. Very satisfied.

Very Knowledgeable staff. Everyone was friendly and helped us get through one tough stinky time in our new home. Two months into moving into our dream home trouble broke. Sewage was overflowing in the basement and causing a horrible mess and smell. After having one company come out and 'snake' the line they found nothing. I called rotorooter and the very knowledgeable John Elward drove to our home to discuss our unique problem. Our private line was undocumented and we were running blind. First thing Monday morning techs came out and got to work. After tracing and mapping our sewer line they were able to video the line and excavated to find a breakage. The company went above and beyond to get our frozen line identified, excavated, repaired, insulated and filled. As well as researching the city's storm drain installation which was the probable cause of our frozen line. I definitely recommend this company.

Randy at Roto Rooter was amazing. I had more than 10 different people (plumbers, mitigation experts, etc.) come to my house to fix the sewer smell. Every one of them left saying they had no idea what the cause was. Except Randy from Roto Rooter. I hired them to camera my neighbor's sewer line (which passes under my house). When that appeared fine, Randy asked to crawl into my crawl space. Based on the location of the smell, he started digging and found, one foot under ground, an abandoned sewer pipe. This sewer pipe had been ruining my house for 5 months. Randy was the only one who found it. Impressive work.

years ago we'd tried another company but little success because our house has a plumbing design flaw and it takes Roto-Rooters tools to clean out the kitchen line so that our laundry will work. Ed, #170, showed up and I told him what needed to happen based on past experience. He listened, asked questions, and was soon successful. Plus I didn't know the enzyme product was expired, so Ed explained that and helped us prevent this situation in the future.
My basement water pump failed at night ,called the on call service , Taylor responded immediately ,got the job done in matter of half an hour ,I was very satisfied with the service .
They were able to schedule the same day as my call and were able to get a technician out prior to the original quoted window. The technician was in and out quickly and did a good job explaining everything he did and other things he could do. I would recommend this service to anyone with a plumbing issue.

We had a clogged toilet, called in the morning, they gave me a time in the afternoon. At lunch, they called and had a technician who could come out right away. He was in and out in a half an hour, even gave me some tips to avoid the problem in the future.
Roto-Rooter's water restoration and mold remediation team are awesome! Unfortunately, we had a long-term pipe leak in an interior wall that went undetected until mold showed up on the bathroom drywall. After having the pipe repaired by Rob at Roto-Rooter, Chad and Matt of the water restoration team went to work. And, boy did they work! They removed unsalvageable wood, treated the remaining areas for mold, and patched in new subfloor. They did a thorough drying/air scrubbing in the bathroom and crawl space. They went above and beyond in my mind by resetting the toilet because it was the only bathroom in the house and even putting in pipe covers in the wall cavity nearest the crawl space to shield against the cold. I can't tell you how refreshing it is to work with a company that is honest, trustworthy, responsive, and goes the extra mile. Chad, Matt, and Rob did right by my family, and I'll be forever grateful.

Great Service, friendly technician, and fast responce.
Our home warranty company contacts plumbers when we have an issue. We had water spraying out of a pipe that could not be shut off with our in home water valve. It was a huge leak that had to be shut off outside by the water company.Our warranty company contacted three different plumbers. The first would not return a call or answer their phone. The second told us that they wouldn't do the job. Once Roto-Rooter got the call they were here within half an hour and had the pipe replaced and the water back on within 45 minutes.They were clean, placing booties on their shoes and leaving a clean work area. They were efficient, and they were careful, checking the newly repaired pipe for leaks before they called the job complete. I would add that the technician was professional and friendly. We were very pleased with this service call. I can't speak as to the competitiveness of their prices as our home warranty pays that.Based on our experience today we would highly recommend Roto-Rooter for your plumbing needs.

Joel came out and found a clean-out that no other plumber found (saving me $80). He then proceeded with the clean-out and worked thoroughly to unclog it. All the while, he told me how to prevent the next clog! Great work!!
Jeebus they are expensive, don't know if all plumbers are this expensive. But I feel like $200+ for a less than 30min snaking, and over $900 to get my drain tile jetted and vacced out is a little overboard

We had just bought a new set of washer and dryer. They were installed and when they ran the tests on the washer the water being drained out was coming back up the laundry drain. Big Problem!!! Called Roto-Rooter talked to a very pleasent young lady and was told someone would be out between 2 and 4 this afternoon. The technician was here promptly around 2:30. I was a happy lady. He gave me my estimate, and then proceeded to thankfully clear my laundry drain. He then ran a test drain on the new washer and YEA!!, SUCCESS!!!. I have used Roto-rooter for years in my restaurants and this was my first experience using him in my home. The technician was punctual, friendly, and helped inform me what he was needing to do to get my water back on. He even assisted when the city showed up to turn the water back on. I was doing a load of laundry in the morning, and then all of a sudden during the drain cycle, my toilet next to the washer was backing up and flooding everything. I called Roto Rooter and they had a technician ( Steve ) out within 2 hours! My house did not have an obvious clean out valve for accessing the pipe to the main, so he explored the possibilities prior to starting the work. He then explained the options and benefits of locating and/or installing the cleanout for future obstructions that may occur. He then concluded the best course of action was to go in through the toilet, so he removed the toilet and had the obstruction cleared out within the hour and then cleaned up and had the toilet re-installed just as fast. I was very happy with the outcome and also the insights he provided. I would use Roto Rooter again with no hesitation.

I am a first time home owner in Fort Wayne, IN and don't know the first thing about plumbing. Roto-Rooter was fast and had excellent service and repaired my toilets so I could move in right on time. They give estimates before any work is done and stick to them. Very satisfied.
Is a great company they came out fast after a call to help me fix my problem. Taylor was my technician he was very nice and helpful he walked me through everything he was going to do and what was wrong with my pipeline.

Roto-Rooter came out to reroute my sump pump drain and a few downspouts. The appointment was for 0800 but no one showed up until 12:30. This is the reason for -1 star. Otherwise, the tech was knowledgeable and offered plenty of advice for keeping the downspouts clear and reseeding my lawn afterwards. The work was done in a timely fashion. A little on the expensive side, but overall quality work. Thanks!

When the worst happens, especially on a Sunday morning, we phoned Roto-Rooter. The entire transaction was very professional and they shared the same sense of urgency as we did to get the situation resolved. Rob was very polite, timely, and a pleasure to interact with. We will utilize Roto-Rooter for future plumbing and drain services and appreciate the professionalism.

This is a company with a very unprofessional general manager. I used them for main line clean out and due to inexperience on the part of the worker that was sent out, they ended up charging me $350 on top of the $240 for equipment that was not needed. I wrote a negative, but fair review on Facebook and considered the situation closed. A few days later, I received an email from John Elward, the general manager. In his email, he tried to bully and attack me for the negative review. He did not try and find a resolution, he just wanted to badger me. In our exchanges, he even admitted that There is no doubt in my mind the hydro-jetter was not needed. When I asked him that since he agrees that the additional equipment wasn't needed, to please refund the additional $350. He eventually replied that he wasn't going to refund the additional charge (please note, I didn't contest the original $240, which was fair and legitimate) and that he didn't agree with me. He tried to backpedal and replied Apparently you did not recognize a double negative, meaning I believe inequitably the jetter was needed to initiate flow. I have quoted exactly what he wrote. There wasn't a double negative that was qualifying what he said. I have no doubt that as spiteful as this individual has been, he will attempt to attack me for this review as well, but I want people to know the company they are thinking of dealing with. If he had never reached out to me, it would have ended with just the one negative review on Facebook.

Our kitchen drain was plugged! Nick of Roto-Rooter Fort Wayne was able to successfully unplug the blockage. He was concerned about protecting our hard wood floors and cabinet floor. Very professional. Would highly recommend.

I have lived in this house 6 months and it has a mound systemThe filter on the septic tank clogged and backed up the main waste water line backed up and I had some water from a washing machine over flow in the Basement I called a plumber who came out but didn’t know much of anything about septic system and wasted Friday for the most part I called a septic tank pumping company they were able to come out Saturday morning and explained what had happened and that the other plumber should have known what the problem was right away.They said call Rotorooter because they were professional and would be able to come out in Saturday. The weather turned bad andNick came out in a cold rain as soon as he could after his scheduled stops at 6:00 pm fixed the problem and was polite and intelligent.I will never waste my time on anyone else if I have any further plumbing issues.These guys are smart and fast and believe in service.

My experience with the Fort Wayne Roto-Rooter could not have been better. The local Roto-Rooter franchise owner John Elward was amazing. We had a very ugly problem with 4 homes hooked into the same (clogged) sewer line. Two owners did not want to contribute to fix the problem so myself and the 4th home owner would have had to pay for the repair. John spent many hours on the phone with the City and convinced them it was an issue they should repair. It saved us several thousand dollars at a minimum. Roto-Rooter charges a fair price for the work done, but John did not get paid for all those hours on the phone. Thanks John!!
Rob, the Roto-Rooter technician, was very fast, efficient, and knowledgeable. I submitted an online appointment and he was there first thing the next morning. I really appreciated Roto-rooter's help in snaking out my main drain. I would normally do these kinds of services on my own home, but the tool I rented from another company did not work well, and would have taken me more than an hour to do, which is not feasible as I work a full-time job during the week. Technician Rob was great and polite and informative, would request him again if given the option.
Commode would not flush. Very professional. Knew after inspection what was going on. I would recommend and have them back. Excellent service
