Noa came to assist us this afternoon and he was absolutly wonderful! We’ve had a reoccurring problem with our bathroom flooding. The toilet would get clogged and then sewage would rise through the showers! We called rotorooters and Noa arrived within 2 hours! He was absolutely incredible. Very knowledgeable kind and professional. He fixed our clog in no time! We’re very grateful for Noa’s help today!

I called their number set up a free estimate, was told it would be within the hour. It was less, he fixed my toilet quickly. Rance was clean, fast and very professional. I am disabled and this was a small catastrophe for me, and Rance, he took care of very quickly. I'm very pleased , hopefully we won't need to but if we have to we'll definitely be calling Rance again.
I noticed moisture escaping from the bottom of my toilet and called Roto-Rooter. The plumber came out and replace the seal ($456) that Roto-Rooter had replaced just 24 months before ($367)! When I called to register my dismay having never had a seal fail so quickly, I was told that my house must be settling. It is 60+ years old, on a concrete slab and hasn't 'settled' anywhere else . . .. The plumber who made this year's repair thought the last job was poorly done. The proprietor, Walt Baker, told me he'd refund my charge card, but that I could never call Roto-Rooter again for service. Living in the country, I sometimes have to depend on Roto-Rooter so I suggested he speak with the plumber and get back to me so we could settle our differences fairly. He agreed, but that was two weeks ago. Since then he has neither refunded my charges or returned my calls. I think his attitude was extremely unprofessional, and in fact downright rude.

Wonderful service. I had the pleasure of having Matt Soranaka fix this issue I was having with my clogged toilet and shower. Before he started he went through all of my options to fix the issue and described in detail what every solution including. Did he best to get me the best pricing option. I had need of Rotor Rooter services on a Sunday morning. I called at 7AM and the job was complete by 11:15AM. Technician had one more stop before coming to my house. I found the entire process to be very professional, from first contact with them to seeing the technician to the gate. I also felt the price was fair, very fair.
Joseph at Roto rooter did a great job with changing out our backflow. This should last another 10-15 years!
Rance came here fast and was able to clearly explain the problems and was able to unclog the toilet efficiently. He was also very nice and answered all my questions.

I called because I had a sink that would not drain and they sent a plumber named Louis 0479 out. He had the drain cleared in minutes. He was very helpful!! We will use Roto-Rooter again for sure!! Thanks so much!!

Zack Cooper arrived ready to work and worked delingently to isolatethe problem. I had three toilets that were backing up and Zack found the blockage in a main line. Zack spent time assuring the lines were clear and explained what he was doing all the while. After the line was repaired Zack replaced all three of my wax rings to ensure they were not compromised due to the gushing of water that resulted from the back ups. Zack is professional and pleasant and I highly recommend him and Roto Rooter.

Pita and Wyatt were great. Dispite unsuccessful results in the initial snaking of the sewer line, he stuck with it, tried different things to unclog the line, sought advise from Wyatt and eventually got the job done. Dispite the fact that Wyatt lives in Kailua, he came out, camera'd the line to insure the line was clear and gave recommendations for future preventage mesures. The two guys are troopers - give'um a raise or at least a bonus!!!

I called Roto Rooter to come fix a bunged-up drain, and yes, the guy was pleasant and professional. He presented me with an estimate for $319 (!). Once I recovered from the shock, I told him his price was bit too precious for me, and I was prepared to just send him on his way. But I really didn't want to hassle with finding another plumber, so we dickered and finally agreed upon $200 + tax.The job took him 20 minutes.Yes, I agreed to his price , so the fault is mine. But just the same, I feel badly that he even tried to take me for his whacko corporate price (especially since he was obviously prepared to do the job for much less). Never, ever again will I call these greedheads for anything.
Local Roto-Rooter came recommended by a friend. Quick service on a Sunday evening. Issue was found quickly and fixed. The entire procedure was explained clearly.

Two toilets were drained and sewage was coming up from the shower drain. After Yelping around and advice from a Plumber’s apprentice, I contacted Roto-Rooter. It was discovered around 7:30pm and the earliest someone could come out was 10:00pm-2:00am according to Douglas on the phone. Douglas was extremely nice and understanding.Erick, our Roto Rooter guy, called and came around 10:40pm. He has been extremely gracious and explains everything. This is a first time for us going through this type of situation and Erick has been thorough with policies and his findings as well as having patience with us. He is the best!!!
He was very good. Pleasant & did what I needed to get the sink unclothed. Company got a more expensive than the last time we used rotor rooter. Of course understandable but bit more then expected. Not sure how jobs are estimated. But should consider that thank you.
Rance came over and actually went above and beyond. Our issue included our back condo neighbor who wasn’t home initially. Before leaving he checked again and they came home. He was able to fix the issue that required access in our rear neighbor home. The issue was resolved and he further went to show that the issue wouldn’t happen again. Our shower & toilet drains were backing up. We called Roto-Rooter and scheduled an appointment. Our service technician Kawika arrive an hour after our scheduled appointment but we were informed of the delay by Rick of Roto-Rooter.After discussing the situation with Kawika. and agreeing to the work to to be done, he snaked & cleared the blockage in my main sewer line in about 30 minutes. I am very happy with the results & the professional work of Kawika.

Needed to snake my kitchen drain. Roto-Rooter said they could not give me an estimate by phone. When they arrived 2 days later they stated its $450 flat rate. I was upset that it was so expensive. If its a flat rate why could Roto-Rooter not give my an estimate. Will not use this company again. Max price for snaking a drain is $250.
The plumbers were great, competent and professional. The price is very expensive, but I don't think Roto-Rooter is unusual in this way.
Our repairman was professional and personal. He took the time to explain what he was doing and what steps we can take to avoid another visit. I think the cost was high for the time required to complete the work.
They are convenient to schedule and kept me informed of my appointment and techs arrival times. The service was above and beyond what I expected. Eli was my technician. He was polite and explained everything to me, including my options. Would use this business again.

Jordan, the plumber who came to my place was amazing and Adrian from the water restoration department was quick, professional and knowledgable. I don't often write reviews but I was very impressed!
Will never use Roto-Rooter service again. We had a clogged kitchen sink that needed fixing. Was not able to get a quote online and was notified immediately once they arrived that it was going to cost $450. We assumed this was normal and agreed to service. When the plumber went to snake our drain he informed us that one of the plastic pipes broke and that it would be an extra charge to fix. He charged us an additional 270 dollars to fix this pipe that we had no problems with before he arrived. The job was completed in just over an hour with a total of 780 just for labor. The up-charge on their service is ridiculous and double that of average costs. I reached out to the customer satisfaction manager that responds to many of the poor reviews online and all it did was lead to the manager of the area calling us to give us a bunch of excuses for their pricing with zero help or real explanation. Their company has zero price transparency and is extremely expensive, especially for a service with zero guarantees. I would not recommend using this service to anyone.

I had two dripping shower/tub faucets in my condo in Honolulu. I called Roto-Rooter and they were there the very next day, which is a record, in my experience.The plumber was very knowledgeable and had the part in his truck. He fixed the problems and showed me how to get a free part from the manufacturer.He was friendly and pleasant and though quite expensive, I would ask for him again.

I arranged for an appointment IN ADVANCE for a technician to camera a sewer line. Foolishly agreed to a 4 hour window of time, at 4.5 hours I called and got bounced around, to be told it would be another hour. 2.5 hours after, dispatch called to say the tech was on his way in 30 minutes. By that point I had stopped waiting for them and left the property. So I arranged for the following day, and speaking with a manager, she assured me that she will have a technician to the property at 10:00 am. AGAIN, no show. I called and was bounced around once more to different area. The technician showed up at 10:45. This IS NOT the first time this has happened. I would NOT recommend Roto-Rooter!

First and foremost I value knowledge highly. Mr. Eddie is the professional and he was very knowledgeable buts most importantly was willing to teach me and educate me so tgat I can address, understand, and troubleshoot in the future. Mr. Ben was great at identified the problem, had all the necessary hi-tech equipment, and the resources to get the problem fixed in a timely manner. Great team! My day started off bad and they made a terrible event better by supporting me in my time of need. They are not cheap but if you want high quality and the security of knowing that it is done correctly and to standard with no short cuts then they qte the way to go! I received prompt excellent service from Roto-Rooter. From the phone representative to the 2 techs that showed up at my home the whole experience was a good one in a time of need. I was able to give details of my problem to the phone rep and when the plumber arrived he already knew what was going on and I didn't have to repeat everything to him. Zachary was the first plumber/tech to arrive at my home within 20 minutes of my phone call and I was informed about everything he was planning on doing and all services and costs before anything was done. A second plumber/tech named Lewis arrived at my home with extra line and a camera and even showed me the screen/monitor he was using to view inside of my pipes under the house and he pointed things out and answered all of my questions. The problem was taken care of in a timely manner and I was very pleased with the service I received from Roto-Rooter. Root-Rooter is a reputable company with all the modern equipment needed to take care of anyones plumbing needs! These gentlemen were very professional and courteous. Zach even took the time to remove a toilet and add a new wax seal on it for me and that wasn't even part of the original problem! Also Lewis followed up with a phone call a couple days later. I had called other plumbers and no one else could come when I needed them Roto-Rooter was here ASAP! I will definitely be using them from now on for all of my plumbing needs! I live on the bottom floor of a three-story walk-up and the sewer for the whole building backed up into my unit. RotoRooter came emergency to clear the blockage and I couldn't be more pleased! I scheduled a Saturday appointment online. Service from Curtis was very professional, friendly, and courteous. Mine was a toilet repair. I asked about repair vs replacement and Curtis took the time to explain. The repair quote was a flat rate, and the discount was more than my coupon. Another plus was they called to ask if I would be available earlier than the scheduled time. I would definitely use Roto-Rooter again for plumbing/drain services!

Great experience, called on a Friday and they were here within 3 hours with a team to find and fix our water heater leak. Dried everything up quick and Joseph had a new one installed next day.

TL;DR; I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this business.This was the worst experience I've ever had with any company of any kind. When calling the company I asked if they knew how to install the type of dishwasher we had. They Said that yes, they knew how. They wouldnt give us even a ballpark/average estimate over the phone and then when they arrived they quoted us around $800 dollars to install the dishwasher or $100 dollars for coming out to give us the quote (completely ridiculous, other places quoted us at half that price). This felt a bit like extortion but we wanted it done and didn't want to lose $100 for nothing so bit the bullet. The person who did the install had no idea what they were doing. It took them almost five hours with their head in the manual to install the dishwasher (I probably could have done it faster myself) and in the end not only installed the dishwasher incorrectly, but drilled a screw into my kitchen counter (splitting the wood in the countertop) in order to do so. After he left we had to undo his work and install it correctly ourselves. All calls we have made about this to the company have been ignored, exploring legal options at this point.

I first called roto rooter when I had an emergency because they're website stated that they had 24/7 emergency service. Granted, I called at 12:30 at night, but when I come home after a long day at work and find both of my bathrooms backed up and on the verge of overflowing, I deem that an emergency. I was told that the first available time was between 9am and 1pm. Seriously? An emergency doesn't and shouldn't have to wait 9-12 hours. I ended calling another emergency plumbing service and vowed to never call roto rooter again. I'm glad the company I called actually had someone available within the hour. Now THAT is 24/7 emergency service.
Had a plumbing emergency, and they got a technician out to me within 2 hours. Joseph was fantastic. Went above and beyond. He was very polite, knowledgeable, and thorough as he explained the problem, gave a detailed invoice, fixed the problem, and even with the cleanup afterwards. 11/10

The service technician came and looked at the job. He looked for the clean out drain which was in the front yard. He said that it was too far so he would have to take off the two toilets. I told him no because of the price. We were able to find another drain under the house so he returned. He didn't want to go under the house so he left. This would have been 5 stars.. this was 2nd attempt to clear same drain problem. 1st attempt, they only pushed clog further down drain line and NOT to lateral as promised. My partially clogged sewer line was quickly cleared by Mike Markley of Roto-Rooter, Honolulu on July 16, 2012. I have employed Roto-Rooter services in the past for similar plumbing problems. Mike is a well-trained plumber who was very professional and explained the pipe clearing process in a friendly and informative manner. He provided advice and price quotations for fixing a potential problem of tree roots clogging the sewer line. He also provided me with a free container of Roto-Rooter Pipe Shield and instructed me on its use. Roto-Rooter has always responded within a few hours of a trouble call and they appear to have all of the expertise and equipment necessary to handle most types of plumbing problems.
Erick showed late at night for an emergency issue, and returned the next morning to finish up when the noise wouldn’t wake the neighbors. Very professional, great communication, and he made it a pleasant experience. Highly recommended!

Sorry. Had to give them 1 star. They tried to upsell me, telling me my homeowners insurance would pay for it. I'm not filing a claim for a clogged drain that overflowed alittle. Then, they tried to tell me they have a set fee of $420. I said NO WAY. Called another company and only paid $160 for less than 1 hours work. Gauging!

Somehow the central appointment system was on the mainland. The response was endlessly slow. They lied when they said plumbing technicians don’t work on weekends. I spent three days waiting for a technician after stating one would come between 8-12. I could not do errands or go anywhere because I was WAITING and WAITING. Very frustrating. When the technician finally arrived it was entering the evening. Technician was able to cap the leak. If you expect honest, prompt service do NOT use Roto Rooter.

I am soooo happy Rance came by to service us last minute for our clog that my Daughter stuck a toy down our tub drain. Rance was articulate and explained everything to my understanding. He was professional and personable. Roto Rooter cleared a clogged sewer line, and initiated a claim with our insurance company. They also checked for moisture damage, sanitized and set up dehumidifiers in the affected bathrooms (2). The personnel were all personable and very considerate, though parts of RR's service were much more positive and responsive than others. We had especially positive experiences with Mario (pipe maintenance), Bucky and crew who sanitized, humidified, and prepped for demolition, and Raul (supervisor), though communication and follow-up for materials testing (required for pre-demolition) was touch and go.

We were selling our place and at the last moment our toilet started not draining correctly. My efforts with Liquid Plumber and toilet plunger were unsuccessful. We called Roto-Rooter and were pleasantly surprised that a technician was immediately available. When the technician (Alassane) arrived, he quickly diagnosed the problem as a clogged sewer line. He speedily removed the toilet, rootered out the line, and reinstalled the toilet, and cleaned up the area in what seemed like 30 minutes. He thought the clog was buildup in the condo complex’s common sewer drainage. Alassane’s cheery disposition and professional demeanor helped us recover from the anxiety over this plumbing problem at the worst possible time. We are happy and grateful for Roto-Rooter’s speedy and professional service.
Eddie is fantastic, easy to converse with, understands the customers needs and exceeds them every time. He is the reason we continue to call Roto-Rooter.

Great service! Very professional. Eddie has just fixed a pipe in my apartment. Came on time, gave a 20 min call prior arriving. Immediately found a problem and fixed within 20 min (luckily wasn't anything serious). Very nice, very polite, experienced and professional. Making an appointment was very easy. I tried to contact two other companies but nobody picked up the phone and never called back. In Roto-Rooter the phone was answered immediately, they work 24/7. And they give a 30 days warranty on the work that was done. Thank you so much for the great service.

On 11/6/18, Jordan replaced the insides of my toilet tank and replaced the basin faucet in my bathroom. On 11/29/18, in my other bathroom, Eddie replaced the basin, faucet and the pipes underneath. He also tightened the nut on the faucet in my utility tub, which stopped the leak. They both did excellent jobs. I was able to get appointments quickly. I will definitely call Roto-Rooter again when I need plumbing services.

I called Roto rooter for a disabled friend who was having trouble with her high pressure toilet. For many technicians their would be the nightmare scenario. My friend has a brain injury/sight loss from her battle with cancer, English is her second language and she was frustrated from previous companies not being clear on pricing.Rance from Roto rooter took the appropriate precautions for working with a high risk individual during covid, he was patient and clearly explained options and prices for the work that needed to be done. Rance and his partner completed the work accurately and made the work area spotless.Rance handled the situation with ALOHA. My friend was very happy with the service and would hire them to do work in the future.
Rance was our service person. Response time was excellent. Our job required snaking our kitchen drain that had backed up after using the disposer. Although he ran into problems with our old pipes, he effectively cleared the clog. Will use Roto-Rooter for future plumbing emergencies.

Gave me an extremely over priced estimate. Which the worker called someone else to ask them how much they think it will cost, but I was right there with the person giving them all the info they needed. When I called and spoke to a supervisor for my money back..they told me it everything that happened sounded like common practice to them. I told them keep the money and another plumber did the same job for less than HALF of what they were trying to charge me. Mind you they told me 3500 just to cut a hole in my drywall and change a tub drain. Easiest job in the world for a plumber.

We had an emergency situation with our toilet tank overflow. Called Sunday morning for services and the plumber came within 2 hours. Paul assessed the damage and also recommended Roto-Rooter's water extraction services and set up the ticket for they guys to come as soon as they could the same day. Kalei and Scott was professional and hard working doing. Appreciated their methodical workmanship.I booked service online on a Saturday and needed service on Sunday. So efficient and convenient. The plumber arrived before the scheduled time and identified the problem right away. He was able to fix our leaky shower spout even when he found it to be frozen. He worked efficiently and we are very satisfied and pleased with the plumber's reliable service. I would definitely contact Roto-Rooter again if and when other plumbing problems arise.

This 1-star review is strictly based on the 'service' received by the dispatch personnel. Right after the technicians left, we flushed the toilet and it started backing up which was what was supposed to have been fixed. I called to report the problem and was told that I would be contacted within the hour. That didn't happen so I had to call again. This time I was told that the technicians were finishing another job and would be back in 1-1/2 to 2 hours. That didn't happen. We had to call again and was told they were still on the current job. I will not bore you with the rest of the calling back and forth but it took 8 HOURS before a technician came to our house and fixed the problem. During those 8 hours, we were basically given the run around and told lies. Upon speaking to the supervisor, Elle, she was empathetic and gave us a whopping 10% discount for the trouble (yes, I'm being sarcastic).What an awful experience. We've used them for over 25 YEARS and they have lost our business.
Eddie and Tasha were excellent in response to our plumbing emergency this afternoon. Their response time was quick, they were extremely professional and took great precautions to keep us safe and get our issues fixed. We would highly recommend Roto-Rooter (Eddie and Tasha) for any of your needs!
The dispatcher did not communicate with the plumber in the field of customers concerns and issues to their plumbing. A local dispatcher oppose to mainland one will be very helpful. Eddie the technician was great. However, when I talked to their main office to schedule a work order, the lady told me they give $100 off for military. I thought this was too good to be true and asked her once again if she intended to say $100. She did. I hired them on this basis. My water heater hose was leaking and needed replacing. The pressure relief valve was also leaking. Total for parts was $64, taxes $22, Labor $452 for less than 1 hour!!! There is no way that is the industry standard. Not even in Hawaii. 20 minutes of work and two small pieces, $500... I don't think I'll go with them again.
Rance did a great job. Came right out, did great work, checked to make sure everything was working before he left. Appreciated.

We had same evening response and she arrived within the time frame with several calls from the office to update us on the actual time she would arrive. The repair person was very friendly and immediately spotted the problem and efficiently cleared the clog in the kitchen sink drain. We very much appreciate the responsiveness since we had company for dinner and lots of dishes to load into the dishwasher. We appreciate the prompt and courteous service.

Most fantastic job ever! Cheap,on time, clean and neat, professional work from start to finish on my one week excavation sewer pipe repair. Worked on thanksgiving day. Great cleanup after job finished. I highly recommend to request Jonah and kawika if you need any drain or plumbing service! Technicians #359 and #0072. Also Eli #451 did a fantastic job removing my old pressure regulator and installing a new one! I will use no other company than roto rooter in the future!

My tech is Etienne Mapuhi he did the jetting for the sewer line. His work was fast and efficient, but before he got started I was informed of all the possible problems that could happen. After the jetting was done the camera technician Chris scoped the line and both studied the condition of the very old pipe. I was informed of the scaling and epoxy coating work that can be done to renew the drain line. I now have a clear understanding of my options and am thinking about what step I should do next. Thanks.

My Front Yard Water Hose Spigot Decides After 4 Generation To Bust At 7:30PM. Called Roto-Rooter Everthing From The Receptionist (Julia) The Response Time Was Quick. To The Roto-Rooter Service Technician (Eddie) His Response Time Was Quick In Arriving And Reasonable Taken He Was Just Finishing A Job Prior To Me Was Extremely Professional, And Knew His Job And Was Fast Fixing The The Issue. Arrival Was At 8PM By 830PM He Was Finished And Out. And Being The House Is Almost A Hundred Years Old Eddie Also Gave Some Suggestions When Doing Renovations. When It Comes Down To Pricing For Service, If It Wasn't For Their Quick Reponse, Professionalism, Their Know Of The Job I Would Have Said Roto Rooter Is EXPENSIVE. After I noticed that several of my multi turn water shutoff valves were not working properly, I decided to call Roto-Rooter to change them with 1/4 turn ball valves. I had them do some plumbing work before and remembered that they did good work. The plumber, Eddie Cordes, arrived at the scheduled time. I explained what the work that I wanted and he prepared the cost proposal, which I felt was fair. He also gave me the material cost and said that if I can get it cheaper that I could purchase them and save some money; so I did. Home Depot’s prices were lower than the suppliers that they used. I showed Eddie the valve that Home Depot sold to insure that it was a quality valve. Having worked in construction for over 30 years, I watched Eddie work and was very impressed with his work ethics and having pride in his work. He was very thorough and didn’t take any short cuts. He cleaned up after himself and didn’t leave a mess, very neat. Very glad they sent Eddie to my house.

UPDATE: Mr. Fred G a Master Plumber from the branch Rotorooter called within the hour of the original post and rectified the issue by giving us a senior citizen discount and a further discount for not reaching the house mainline. He trusted me and I will trust him by updating this post assuming he will provide the promised partial refund.ORIGINAL: Kitchen drain 1-1/2 line (p-trap and stub removed by owner. The cost for 20' of cleaning was $460. I had asked if the rotorooter would go to the mainline for that price and was told yes. As we walked into the house we both pointed to the mainline cleanout, house mainline and location of kitchen sanitation line. He said the price was $460 to the mainline and he would be using a 75' drum. It would at least reach the house mainline that goes to the street main. When he completed the kitchen drain I asked how far he went - 20 ft. I asked if he was going to finish outside using the cleanout and he said no. I said the main house line is on the other side of the house about 50' away. Had I known it was just one drain for $460, there is no way I would have used Rotorooter. I regular plumber charges $75 to $150. Rotorooter technician is not a plumber and the house owner must sign a liability waiver for his own pipes.

Cost was too high for work completed. Workers did no clean up. Root A Roto Rooter renovator arrived immediately after work was completed and offered to repair for approximately $4500, telling us our insurance would cover the charge. When he was told we had $2400 deductible, he dropped his charge in half! Needless to say, we declined his rip off.

They no-showed the first appointment on Saturday. When I called after three hours, they said the appointment should never have been made, because they don't have plumbers on Saturdays. They no-showed the second appointment on Monday. When I called after three hours, they said they were still busy with other appointments and would call back if they couldn't come by 3 p.m. They never called back and never showed up. They came to the third appointment on Tuesday, 45 minutes late, despite assurances that they would be there at 8 a.m. which is the first appointment in the morning. The repair itself was fine. But I wasted over SIX HOURS waiting for them to come. Only use Roto-Rooter if you have nothing else to do in your day, and nowhere else to go. HORRIBLE SERVICE!

My problem is not your usual complaint. My husband hunts and we have kennels for our dogs. While cleaning the kennels (which we do several times daily) we noticed the drain wasn't clearing immediately.Since we've had this problem before, we knew not to call just an ordinary plumber. There were several listings in Honolulu for Roto Rooter so I called the one closest to my home in Aiea. I requested that they come in the morning.They were very obliging on the phone. The men arrived early the next morning also as requested. The two men were very personable and extremely helpful. They had the drain cleared quite quickly with no mess. We knew that would be the case since we've used Roto Rooter before and been quite happy with their services.If there are any problems in the future, you can be sure we'll call Roto Rooter.

Johnny from Roto-Rooter was AMAZING! Having him show up to repair my leaky shower made my day.I got estimates from other companies who told me that they needed to do a huge replacement and would need to cut off the faucet handles because the screws were stripped and would need to rip out my shower tiles in order to fix the leak. They said it would cost me over $2100 and that they needed to come back if I decided to have them fix it because they didn’t have any of the parts. They said this after already making me wait over 3 hours past the time they initially said they would show up to do the estimate.Johnny showed up exactly when his dispatcher said he would. He took one look at it and said he could just replace the parts, which he had with him and it would be a pretty easy fix. He easily took out the screws that were stripped WITHOUT cutting off the faucet handles! The cost of the job was 70% less than what the other companies quoted me. Job was completed in an hour. I am so VERY VERY HAPPY with Johnny at Roto-Rooter! Highly recommend Johnny and Roto-Rooter for your plumbing needs.

Rance and Wyatt were awesome plumbers. They came to my home and figured out where there was a water leak and fixed what needed to be done!! Will definitely call again for any water leak issue.
So 2 tub drains weren't draining, but ROTO ROOTER was able to remove excessive hair in one and a coiled up papertowel in the other. This was the least of my problems. He found other problems that could have cost me a lot. What was exceptional was the recommendations he suggested which could have cost 500 times more without his suggestions. Thanks Roto Rooter.

$99 for coming out and $450 to snake a bathroom drain! I asked for the cost prior, but was denied be given the cost. They should inform you, it was very straight forward. I felt very mislead. Use them if you want to pay $300/hour.

I got home at 11:30pm to find that dirty water from sewer backup came up through our toilets, and shower/bath, It was horrible.I didn't realize that Roto Rooter had 24hr. service so my husband didn't call them until morning. As soon as Sam arrived, he was extremely helpful, understanding, and empathetic. He knew exactly what to do and where to go to fix the problem. In less than a half hour everything was back to normal..Sam gave us a lot of good information regarding some of the things that could have caused this, including having pipes that may be old or bevelled which could also cause backups. Although I had already cleaned and disinfected the affected areas, Sam said that Roto Rooter has a team that can come to your home to clean things up,...if heaven forbid this should happen again.Mahalo Nui Loa to Sam and Roto Rooter for coming to our aide!!

I highly recommend this company. Woke up one typical morning and it was time to wash clothes. Started my washing machine and it started washing my clothes then it was time to spin and drain the water. The water would leave out my machine and drain. It was 4th of July evening and an unopened tube of tooth paste fell into the toilet as it was flushing and clogged. It was an emergency. We have one bath room and 3 people in a residential neighborhood with no public restrooms nearby. They were easy to reach and came as soon as the plumber was available.Jake was very competent. My waterline clogged and after 3 days in my newly renovated home. My plumber worked for hours on it and finally suggested I call Rotor Rooter because they had equipment and tools he did not have. Plus they had a camera that could snake into the drain to see where and why it was clogging. Turns out the pipe was ruptured. I would never had known that if it wasn't for Rotor Rooter.
We called Roto-Rooter late at night after trying and failing to self snake our tub on our own. Although we were set up for the following morning, Rance ended up calling and coming over the same night at almost 10 pm! He was very friendly, professional, and really quick at fixing our problem. He even talked with my husband about what could have happened and what can be done. Such a happy customer! Thank you Roto-Rooter, especially Rance!

Technician John was came earlier than I expected. He was professional, courteous and knowledgeable about what to do with the problem we had. He immediately set to work. Once finished, he apologized for not being able to completely unclog our drain pipe. He explained what he had encountered and made a recommendation as to what our next step should be. We had a resident that had a clogged lanai drain. The resident was asked to schedule someone to come out to clear the drain. Rance from Roto-Rooter was asked to take on the job. This was not an emergency but he responded promptly and worked well with accommodating the building with their contractor hours. He was very knowledgeable at the task he was given. I had multiple plumbing issues that John fixed in a timely manner. The biggest issue was a leaking shower valve that needed replacing. John replaced the entire piping system and installed a new faucet and shower head. Then he fixed a continuously running toilet and a leaking garbage disposal. He provided quality workmanship. When he initially provided the estimates, he said they were higher because they perform quality work. I received another estimate that was considerably higher so I went with Roto-Rooter. I'm glad I did and am happy with the work done.

Rance was awesome! Quick and efficient. Mahalo!....Follow-up:We had another issue arise and I was pretty upset when it happened because a few days earlier I called in because of a bubbling toilet. I was told there was no problem and totally disregarded. Sure enough the mainline backed up mid shower! I called the main switchboard and was very politely helped. I also reached out to Rance who helped me out even tho he wasnʻt working in the field that night. Within in a matter of hours I had 3 people at my house all working to figure out what the problem was and help assess the situation Chris and Dee were outstanding; Chris didnʻt leave until he was able to identify what was going on. By the next day I had 2 more Joseph and John there to dig up the pipe and remove the object out of our pipe (seems like it was some construction rubble). Super efficient, helpful, kind; and hands down EXCEPTIONAL customer service for this call. I am not the easiest client, so I always appreciate when the customer service is so on point that I have no complaints. Makes me feel at least a little better about the high cost. The efficiency and timeliness of the service call was outstanding as was the work that was completed by Brad and his colleague to unclog the main line. However, the follow up which we were told was arranged for the camera sweep of the main pipe that was cleaned has been very frustrating. We were initially informed that the appointment was made for 1-2 days and that we would be called. No call was received and when we checked, we were told that the follow up appointment was not made. It was rescheduled and we were subsequently informed that the follow up call was dropped and not arranged. We are now waiting for the third attempt for the follow up visit which has to be rescheduled even one more time. We have had to initiate all of the follow up calls. No one call to inform us of the status of any of the presumably follow-up appointments. Once Raul was able to arrange for the follow up visit, he was very professional and efficient. He was informative as well. The post-cleanup lack of communication at the office and dispatch service is what downgraded the rating for the service. The personnel who came to the site were great.

When I originally made an appointment, Roto-Rooter plumbing promised they would arrive 8-12 the next day. After receiving multiple calls delaying their arrival that day they eventually cancelled.I rescheduled for another day and this time a plumber showed up to give a quote to replace 1.5 plumbing changed to 2 plumbing for a bathtub to shower drain conversion in a condo building. The plumber was hesitant to accept the work, refused to give me a quote and left.I DO NOT recommend this company for its lack of professionalism, and lack of skill of its employees to accept anything more difficult that a plugged drain.If you're time is important to you, go somewhere else.

Mario and Raul arrived on Saturday AM to clear a clog in our sewer line. Mario ran a rooter blade down the pipe and cleared whatever it was, and then when Raul arrived he ran the camera down the pipe to see if there were any problems. They did a great job. Problem solved.
made appointment online through website, but the request was never received, so had to call the local service company directly (disappointing); called for the appointment first thing in the morning for a service window in the late afternoon and service tech confirmed acceptance of the service appointment the last 30 minutes of the requested window - luckily the service performed was not very complex, but cost over $300 to cleanout a toilet clogged with TP.

Pet rescue! Cat in storm drain. Garrett came, our hero. He was so patient and clever to rescue this little one while I called around to find who could take it once we got it. He had to lift up 3 storm drain covers, go up and down to get supplies to block a tunnel to enclosed this little kitty, and rescue it. Yesterday my shower mixing valve decided to give up the ghost. After attempting to repair it myself, I decided to call the professionals. Roto Rooter sent their technician, Vangel. He was very knowledgeable and efficient. He did an excellent job fixing my shower mixing valve and installed my new kitchen faucet. I’ve always counted on Roto-Rooter for my plumbing issues because of their outstanding service. Although they are quite pricey, you get what you pay for with their exceptional qualities, such as efficiency and overall quick response so there’s no reason to wait on your side. Johnny, the service technician was very fast, friendly, and easy to communicate with. He even took the initiative to do some minor fixings on my toilet seat and tank. I really do appreciate him for what he offered and did for me, as well, and that is why I feel he should get a 5+ star for his exceptional service. Called at 11 am Saturday to schedule cleaning of kitchen drain. Told that someone will be there within 4hrs. At 3:45 pm, called to find out if someone was coming and now was told that someone should be there in 2 hrs. Person checked with dispatcher to confirm 2 hr was doable. But within 15 min, called back to say not able and would like to schedule for tomorrow. I canceled my service request. It shouldn’t take 5 hrs to determine that service can not be provided.

So Wednesday night rolls around and my girlfriend and I get a babysitter so we can have a date night out. Half way into a date night, I get a call saying that we have poo water backing up into the bathtub. Not exactly the news i was wanting to hear on a special night. So we cut the dinner short and I go home to tackle this problem. I have a 50 foot hand held snake and ran it through the clean out port in hopes I could fix the problem myself. Three hours and a sweat soaked shirt later, I decided to call in the reinforcements. Zach Cooper was able to come out to our house at 11:30pm (30 minutes faster than what we were quoted!). He was friendly and knowledgeable. In less than 30 minutes he was able to unload his equipment and fix the drain. Even with all of the equipment, there was not one spilled drop of poo water on our floor. I cant say enough how lucky we were to have him help us in this urgent situation. Thanks Zach!!

Chris was polite, spoke clearly in detail of when his morning schedule was like and the time he would be at my house.He called me when he arrived at the house and gave me and reiterated of what he plans to do to address the plumbing issue and approximate time it will take him to complete the work.There was an issue with clean-out access and Chris called me informing me of the situation and offered an alternative. it was an extra charge which made sense of the extra work involved. Chris was upfront with all charges and there were no surpirises.Once completing the camera investigation, Chris called and provided a summary of the investigation and would write a report with options to address the sewer line issue. Chris explained the options in detail.At this.point in the project -investigation/research , I am satisfied and impressed with Chris and Roto Rooter's corporate training. Good stuff!!

Might as well go buy 2 more water heaters for that price!Removal of water heater- $650!!The other quotes from many other plumbers we got were max $500 for labor..Either this worker really didn't want to do this work or they have no integrity and tried to rip off honest residents.Ridiculous!.Go with a local business! Support local! Never again with this company.

I am very glad our toilet is now fixed. Thanks to roto rooter. They are available to call 24/7. I called around 8pm. Though they are unable to come at the same time, because of the harsh weather condition. The next morning they came early and did the job. They first explain everything, estimate fee, warranty, and whats best is if they’re unable to fix it from the first step they wont let you pay anything and its already up to you if you wanna proceed to the next step which is more expensive and more thorough. Good thing was fixed in just few minutes and the techinician guy (Rance) was very pleasant. Thanks again roto rooter. Highly recommended.

Plumber arrived & cleared the toilet in a few minutes a, suggested how to avoid future problems with low-flush toilets. Would appreciated written price list as I believe I was told that if the blockage was cleared at the ground level, it would cost $250. If he had to remove the toilet to clear the blockage, it would be $350+. I was told that the blockage was at the base of the toilet. I was charged $350-$60 (coupon discount). I believe I should have been charged $250-discount.Roto-Rooter advertises 24 hr service. I called around 1:30 a.m. and was advised that someone would call me back. No one called me back! According to the service guy, the on-call person was busy all night. I was waiting for a call back in the living room & didn't get much sleep. They scheduled a 8 a.m. visit the next morning without any explanation.
They were very responsive to my drain problem. It did take several days for them to get out to fix the problem, but I do not blame them. The virus affected many people and that seriously impacted their response time. I would certainly use them again if I ever have other pluming problems.

Roto Rooter technicians did a fantastic job. Both the Sr Tech, James, and his helper John were efficient, professional and courteous... what more could anyone expect. They cleared the blockage in an outdoor storm pipe in about an hour. The storm pipe ran the length of the side yard, about 75 feet of pipe.

Our Technician Casey (tech#1545), was very polite, professional, and able to solve our problem. When our problem turned into something bigger, Casey returned with the appropriate equipment and took care of the problem. It was a pleasure working with him today.
I appreciate the same day/weekend service and the ease of scheduling an appointment online. The tech was efficient and got the job done, but lacked overall people skills. He was not especially friendly and didn’t seem pleased to be there, and some of his comments regarding the root of the problem came across as condescending. In the end, the job was done well, and a even a hint of customer service on his end would have earned 5 stars. If I have to pay $400 for someone to spend a half hour snaking a pipe and I can laugh about it, the least he could do is be a little personable or squeak out a smile on his way out the door.
Although not an emergency, got same day (SAME MORNING!) response. Duncan was neat, clean, efficient and made sure I knew the estimate up front (not that I was going to have a choice). I hate plumbing so there was never any doubt I needed a pro. The ONLY reason they're not getting 5 stars is because I nearly forgot to ask for any discounts (military/senior). I think this might have been offered by RR as we were settling the bill.

We discovered water flowing up out of the ground this morning in our yard. I called Roto-Rooter and they sent Wyatt and Webb out right away. The pricing is a little spendy (hopefully fair though) but they found the root (pun intended) of the issue quickly and were able to replace the busted pipe in about 2 hours. They were pleasant to talk to as well. I highly recommend calling Wyatt and Webb at Roto-Rooter for any plumbing issues!

Before I used Roto-Rooter’s service, I checked it’s review online. It came with very bipolared feedback. Most of reviews about jobs in mainland are quite poor. On the other hand, reviews about job in Hawaii are fine. Anyway, I decided to give a try. Anyway, Zac was really helpful. There are tough clogs in my sink pipe. It took him a while to get this tough job done. After job done, he still stayed to clean the mess and put everything in good shape. Really appreciate his service. Don't do it! They fixed a leak that cost $400. The guy showed up he said he didn't have the part. He left came back charge me $80 just for the part he probably got for cheap at home depot. He worked on the leak maybe 15 min and then charged $400. These guys are crooks. If a leak is $400 i wonder how much a bigger job would cost.

They arrived on time to complete work and it was completed in a timely matter. I had a special request and they obliged. The employee explained thoroughly what was happening and brought to my attention what the old plumbing had. They kept me informed since I didn’t know what was going on. It also rained during the repair but they pushed through. They were also personable.
We had a driveway drainage problem that was found to be caused by roots invading the pipe 40 feet away from the stoppage. More will need to be done to completely clear the line past the turn and beyond.Eric did a great job of pursuing and removing debris, then explaining the options for repairing the faulty/damaged line.There apparently was a large backlog of other jobs - our 9am-1pm appointment was not attended to till 4:30pm. However, their call center did call me three times with updates.

Rance was fabulous! Great service & professionalism! Answered all of our questions with excellent options & explanations! We would recommend him highly! Outstanding job! He tried so hard but our pipes are too old.
We called Roto-Rooter with an emergency plumbing issue at 8pm. A handful of other plumbing companies told us we'd have to wait for someone to come out in the morning, but with a houseful of five people and no working toilets that simply was not an option. Thankfully when we called Roto-Rooter they calmly told us they'd get someone out within the next 2-3 hours. Not even half an hour had gone by when we received a call from Rance telling us he was on his way. We were expecting to have to wait until 10 or 11pm.Rance arrived and was friendly and courteous. He carefully listened as we explained the problem and waited patiently as we moved our two large dogs to the back yard. He thoroughly looked over all three bathrooms as well as the plumbing in the yard. I had a washer drain clog, which is an interesting situation since I’m in an old high rise, but Joseph solved my issue in a timely manner.Update as of 5 May 2020:I was just about complete with my bathroom remodel, but had one last thing! The service technicians were very professional and were able to diagnose the issue. While the repair work took a bit more time than expected, the good thing was that they accurately diagnosed the issue and the job cost was based on the job, not hourly. So the price they quoted was what I paid.

I called Roto Rooter to clear a clog in my sewer line. They were able to send someone out within an hour of my call. Alassane came and did a wonderful job. He explained what he was going to do and the price up-front. and was very friendly. He checked different areas before he started and then checked again after he finished clearing the main line. He didn't pull anything out, but I felt better since he checked again after he finished. I would call Roto Rooter again.

This was the 3rd time that Eddie has done repairs at my home (so I always ask for him by name now when I call Roto-Rooter). He is an excellent worker. I called Roto Rooter for help with flooding from an unknown source in my bathroom. They responded promptly, and sent Ken. He discovered the source--a broken pipe within the wall. I figured it would be a huge, expensive job, but the next day Ken and his partner Sam opened a small area of the wall, repaired the pipe, and resealed the wall with a secure panel in less than two hours. I paid a LOT less than anticipated. Very happy with their service!!

They charged my wife 1300.00 for a wax ring on a toilet, a new cheap garbage disposal, and a drippy sink! If I were not deployed so far from my old home now rented I could have fixed these items myself for under 100$ in 2hrs. So I guess they charge 600$ an hour for labor? Biggest rip off I have ever seen.
The service itself was excellent (the only reason for 2 stars), however scheduling it was an absolute nightmare. I had to call multiple times to follow up, our scheduled appointment was voided with no communication and when I called to verify they couldn’t tell me what happened.

Awesome service! We had issues with toilet water backing up into the tub. Brian, the plumber, was able to recognize what the main issue was. He needed to clear the main drain but we had issues locating it. Brian helped my dad and I locate it, and identify where the main was. From there, he was able to solve the issues! Also, love the fact that Roto-Rooter doesn't charge for emergencies or holidays like other companies do. And the dispatcher was able to get us help on the same day, within an hour after I called. Much mahalo!!!

Vangel was very pleasant/polite, professional, direct, didn't seem to mind my dogs smelling him, and made every effort to ensure that the problem was fixed. Four stars only because it seemed rather pricey ($334 for main sewer line snake), but I'm comparing it to prices from 9 years ago (the last time I had a similar problem), so for all I know that's perfectly reasonable. I did not shop around, so if I overpaid, I suppose that's my fault! On the plus side, even though I said it could wait until tomorrow, I received service this afternoon after making an appointment online this morning (so less than 4 hours after I requested the appointment online). It only took about an hour or so, and now I can wash clothes again :)

I scheduled an appt on Sunday morning at 10:30 to have a clogged bathtub drain cleaned. The technician arrived by 1:30p and quickly restored the drain within 20 min. The technician was pleasant, professional and completed the job in record time. The charge of $608.00 for 20 min of work was OUTRAGEUOS. I asked if he would also clean a slow running bathroom sink drain, since he had only spent a short time for my bathtub and I was paying him so much money and he refused, stating I would have to schedule another appt (and likely be charged another $608.00). The service was fast and professionally done. BUT I don't understand how they can justify the price I paid for the service. I will never recommend and will warn my friends and neighbors to avoid using Roto -Rooter due to their OUTRAGEOUS FEES.

“Recently I had a clogged drain line and called Roto Rooter, they sent someone out within the hour!! Great response time and to top it off some excellent service and advice was received from Noa Vierra and Kawika. These two gentlemen where fantastic and solved my problem in a very reasonable time frame. What complicated the problem was, I wasn't at the house due to some travel. All of the communications was done via phone or email. They kept me informed as to the problem, progress, and followed through to the completion. I just want to share my praise for Joe, the technician that Customer Service sent to address the plumbing issues that I had in my kitchen. Not only is he great at his trade, but his passion and love for his work shows through everything he does. My “simple” job of replacing a kitchen faucet and the supply valves became more complex when he discovered a small hole in the copper pipe that the valve screws into. He addressed the issue without increasing the estimate and finished the job that required more time than anticipated. He is very diligent, honest and committed to providing the best service. Eddie from Rotor Rooter arrived, he was very professional, polite, and unclogged our kitchen sink in less than an hour. He is a very pleasant man and knew his trade and also provided his professional advice in how not to clog our sink again. I would highly recommend Eddie to anyone.
I appreciate the responsiveness (<3 hours) from the time my request was called in to when the representative appeared for the service. A+ definitely. Service was performed satisfactorily. The cost was expensive ($400+) for what used to cost me < $200 pre-COVID. But if that's what I need to pay for no-nonsense service, I will grudgingly pay the price.

I had very bad experienced with these rooto rooter guys especially the guy named David Hrobochak ,he's a good talker and trying to rip you off with your insurance, he even instructed his workers to left the dehumidifier machines in your house to make your electric bills spike and they also left our vanity and tiles damaged without even fixing our clogged up toilet..

Many thanks to Justin and his crew of hard-working men who showed up on time and worked diligently to clean up the mess and sanitize my 2 bathrooms after the blockage was cleared. I would highly recommend them to anyone in a similar situation.
We were experiencing drain problems in our home for months. Our bathroom tubs clogged every time someone took a shower. We’ve had a few local companies come out to try and fix whatever the problem was. They were all unsuccessful. Our bathroom tubs continued to clog until Lewis, technician 0479 came to the rescue. We were a bit apprehensive about going through Roto Rooter because of their prices, but we were desperate. Lewis came in and asked us a few questions and before looking at the bathroom he instantly knew what the problem was. Within a few hours he was done and the problem was fixed! Lewis was very professional and knowledgeable. I will definitely use Roto Rooter again if I have any issues.

**EDIT: Roto-Rooter reached back out to me after the service and apologized for the service delays. Their phone customer service has been responsive to my situation.**Garbage disposal wasn’t working properly and the motor wouldn’t turn. Scheduled a Roto Rooter between 8am-12pm. When I hadn’t received a call by 1230pm, I rescheduled for that evening at 7pm. Once again after a plumber wasn’t en route at about 730pm, I rescheduled AGAIN for the next morning between 8am-10am. The plumber showed up late outside the window at 1030am.He entered my home and pressed a small reset switch on the bottom of the disposal under the sink. It cost me $409 before taxes for the plumber to come into my home for less than 5 minutes and press that switch. No pro-rate or anything. I spent more time signing the paperwork than the plumber spent looking at my problem.Extremely disappointed that they charge like this for a super simple job, especially after they missed their scheduled service window 3 separate times.

Extremely low quality customer support with next to no communication. Scheduled an appointment online then waited an hour for contact like it said to do. Did not receive contact from anyone for over an hour so I called them. They say they see me booked then reconfirm everything and tell me someone should be here within 30 minutes. Hours later I get a call saying they can't find any parking and they were tired of waiting so they left. (Never received any kind of phone call during this time). Later I get a call from dispatch saying they were going to send someone in a smaller vehicle finishing up a job so they could get in. I wait another 1.5 hours and hear nothing and finally call them again to find out they were never going to send any one or they did and they left because there was No Parking. Again during this time I did not receive a phone call. Can only recommend them if you want to be strung along.
When it comes to plumbing, Joseph is always the first person on my mind to call on at Roto Rooter. Joseph has so much plumbing experience and it shows in the work he does. He is someone you can count on. He does exceptional work and gives good advice when you have questions. He is also the most wonderful and pleasant plumber we have ever met & worked with! We requested for him again because he is very professional, responsive, friendly, optimistic and always does a great job beyond expectations! Thank you Joseph & Roto Rooter! We thank God for you!

On the advice of our regular lumber, we called Roto-Rooter when he did not have the equipment to clear our clogged commode. An hour later Arden arrived & went to work.He knew what he was doing & wasted no time roto-rooting our sewer lines. It wasn't quick & easy, rather hard work & slow.When the drain appeared cleared, he got the camera out & he & I did a visual inspection from the problem area our to the street. Services were rendered without contacting me (the billing contact) for approval. I was contacted once the services were completed asking only for credit card details and not for authorization. Talked with manager and was not helpful. Services for snaking two sinks were $600 which is a total rip off. I do not recommend this company due to poor communication and lack of problem resolution.
When I first called, was told you're in luck, we can have someone there in 4 hours. Called again twice, both after 1 hour intervals to find out status because I have 3 grandkids who wanted to use the bathrooms. Finally came after 3 hours. I was ready to replace the toilet and he said I didn't need to do all that expense - my older one works better than the newer ones. He is wonderful and so the company. I can't say enough nice things about Sam and Vangel who came promptly on a Sunday morning during the playoff football games to fix our clogged sewer line. The agent said they would be at the house within 2 hrs. and they arrived within 30 minutes and stayed almost 2.5 hours. Sam arrived first and was professional, charming and very helpful and knowledgeable. He gave us an estimate and then gave us a discount because we used Angies List and were seniors. He proceeded to snake the toilet without removing it but was stopped by the roots after 2 feet. He then removed the toilet and worked through the roots and snaked all the way to the street where our sewer ties into the city lines. He called another repairman, Vangel, who showed up 15 mins later with the camera and they took videos of where the roots had been penetrating the line. They replaced the toilet with 2 new wax rings and even cleaned up the mess in the bathroom.I will definitely use roto rooter again in the future as we own 7 homes in the area and they have the equipment and manpower to respond quickly and efficiently to a call. They may not be the cheapest, but if you mention Angies List, you can get a great discount.
Technician 3465 explained what the problem and solutions to my plumbing issue. He worked efficiently and cleaned the area. I would definitely use this service again.

When I had a plumbing emergency in the middle of the night, only Roto Rooter was open 24/7 to address my water overflowing from the sink into the floor. I am so glad Rance came and John provided assistance the next day for what appeared to be a first home owner’s nightmare (literally) to have the whole apartment damaged by plumbing problems. Rance came to my rescue today after I had severe issues with a clog in my shower. After several attempts he was able to solve the problem. I would just like to add, at one point I decided to go into my room and say a prayer. Believe it or not as soon as I returned to the bathroom, the clogged cleared. God is good. And so is Rance.

After the inclement weather I found out that my drains were clogged and water accumulated and pooled in various areas. Rance was extremely helpful during the time he was here explaining to me what could have happened and how to prevent any future damage. Amongst all that he was incredibly kind.
Our sewer line was backed up, with water in the shower and toilets overflowing when we woke up yesterday. I called about six companies to fix it right away. Only two were available and we told them both to come as soon as possible. The first one that got here was called Clean Sewer Lines, so I canceled the other company.The plumber had a big machine and the snake kept jamming up. He told me the sewer line was damaged, or broke about 20 feet outside my house. He wanted to get a camera to see how bad it was and told me that it would cost $250 for that. He had to drive to Wahiawa and that took over three hours before he got back. His camera had a big head on it and he could only move it about five feet down my sewer line. Also, the water was very dirty and he could not see anything. The camera was a complete waste of money and time and they still charged me $250 for that. He told me that the sewer line was broke 20 feet from my house and that they would dig up my yard, go find the pipe, put a new section on it the next day and it would cost $5000 - $6000. He also stated that we should replace our entire sewer line and that it would cost a lot more for that. After seven hours of dealing with this company, my sewer was still stopped up and my bill came to $550. We were unable to use our kitchen or bathroom and had to take a shower in the backyard using the hose. Having to worry about replacing our entire sewer system caused us a lot of stress.I decided to get a second opinion from a company with a good reputation and called Roto-Rooter. The plumber told us it would be $125 to snake the system and tell us if the pipe was broke. He said if he cleared the line, the cost would be $425. He had no problem pushing his snake 100 feet down our line and cleaning it out. He said that nothing was wrong with the pipe. We were happy to find out the pipe was fine and happy to pay him $425.Roto-Rooter was more professional and had equipment that was a lot better than other companies I have used in the past.Lesson learned: If you call a cheap company that charges $100 to clean your line, they might meet your needs. However, if they don't clear your sewer pipe, call someone else. The snake Clean Sewer Lines used was too big and would not work in my pipe, or maybe it was just older equipment. I would not call them again and definitely would not let them use a camera or charge extra for a camera that did not work in my pipe. Their plumber told me I had a damaged pipe under my toilet, and 20 feet from my house outside my bathroom and also out under my driveway. The biggest problem with that is my sewer pipe doesn't go under my driveway. He was making things up to get extra work. It was a really bad day working with them.What a relief it is being done with this project. I hope this information might help anyone else that has a clogged line.

Extremely satisfied and relieved with the efficient and professional service from Roto Rooter staff, starting with making the appointment, coordinating with Dispatch, and the technicians who performed the work to solve my problem. An outdoor area drain and storm drain pipe (75'L) had a blockage. Our driveway was being flooded, and threatened to flood our garage and home. James (supv) and John arrived on time, and performed their work efficiently. It was such a relief to see the flood water drain away immediately. Both were professional and courteous, and represented themselves and Roto Rooter extremely well. Tip: I asked for James (when making the appointment). He previously did work at our home, and he and his crew did a fantastic job. I was pleased that Roto Rooter took my request seriously, and had James come to our home.

Josh was great in finding out why my toilet kept backing up. Realized piping was clogged up. Found the cleanout cap was damaged by persons unknown. THIS WAS THE PROBLEM ,IN THINGS FALLING IN.Unclogged line and system was able to work. Found out our whole unit was experiencing the same problem and not just me. I had a clogged shower drain whose cause or location could not be identified despite having plumbers from two separate plumbing services, the first being a local plumbing company and the second being Roto Rooter. The latter sent over another technician, John G, the following day, who tackled the problem methodically and in a deliberative manner while also explaining to me possible causes and the likely next steps on my part and (if it should come to that) the steps etc. on the part of the neighbor(s) and the condo association. These actions on the part of the technician enabled me to make an informed decision and, the best of all, John resolved the clog single-handedly and in a timely manner even though his work involved quite a few tasks: going to the floor downstairs to cut open the shower ceiling there, checking and replacing the p-trap, snaking down the vertical pipe, going out to the store to get the right fitting p-trap, attaching the access panel to the ceiling of the unit downstairs, test-running and checking if all worked ok. All in all, I believe this technician completed the job professionally and competently for which I am thankful.

We had Ben as our plumber, he was straight forward explaining what needed to be done to fix our problem. Our initial contact by phone not a pleasant experience because everything was lost in translation, as I were told I was speaking to a call center on the mainland, dispatch was on the mainland and my request of being text was not carried through because of my concern in answering any telemarketing calls if I couldn't identify who was calling me, luckily they left voice-mail so I could get a proper response. The 5 star experience was the fact that we were happy with the results. So would I recommend this business, as long as Ben is the employee, most definitely Yes.
I find I am always treated fairly and respectfully and the plumbers are top notch.

Eddie from Roto-Rooter is amazing!!! My kitchen sink backed up over night. He was at my door within an hour of being called today. He went above AND beyond; he cleared the sink and pipes to the condo common line. MORE importantly, he was the first person to EVER mention a valve that could be put on my sink to prevent this recurring problem (that I’ve had to deal with for more than 20 years) of water and rancid garbage from units above me backing up into my unit. After clearing the pipes, he went to the hardware store to get the valve and installed it for me. I CANNOT express how much I appreciate his service!!! He definitely deserves praise AND commendations!!!

STILL really EXPENSIVE ...even with the coupon discount. Roto-rooter made a scheduled visit to my residence in 2018 and quoted me more than 3-times the price for a simple job of what I paid another company (not A-1Plumbing) to complete. I was so confused as to the why they charge so much, and was told it’s a their corporate directions NOT to lower the price estimate. There are many competent plumbing companies that are more reasonable. Just spend the extra time to call around or get a recommendation from friends/family. Roto-Rooter is too expensive for me, but their company has nice customer service for what that’s worth.

I scheduled an appointment online for 0800 to 1000. I was contacted by the dispatch center that the technician wasn't available until 1200. I had taken time off work and didn't appreciate this business practice.The technician was very thorough and had good etiquette. I did wonder why I had a $450 bill for a simple snake to clear a clogged drain. I could have bought a motorized snake for that price. By then, I was too invested in time to refuse service.I think Roto Rotor could adopt better practices towards appointment transparency and publishing there estimates rates.

I had my first floor flood due to a cracked CPVC pipe. Called another plumping company to fix so I get water back going in my house. They looked at it and said we will have to do tomorrow. Plumber found the reason why the hot water wasn't working due to timer box that shut off because of a power outage, so we decided to shut off the timer box to prevent that from happening again. There was also low pressure coming from the hot water line and plumber tested the water heater and said the clog is located in the piping connections within the house. I decided not to repair it. Plumber was very knowledgeable.
Rance fixed my kitchen sink basket strainer (was corroded and frozen, couldn't remove it). Sink back to normal. He accommodated me by coming early so that I could still attend a friend's retirement party. Good service.
Rance came to clear our toilet. It was clear that he has technical knowledge and experience to diagnose the problem and took care off it extremely fast. He is super friendly and courteous. He was a pleasure to work with. He is an asset to the company and should be valued as such. Thanks Rance!

July 4th weekend I was given a 4 hour window for approximate time of service. To my surprise Sam Wilson was able to be at my door within 40 minutes after my call to Roto-Rooter. That's the fastest time I've ever had a plumber arrive. Sam was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He was able to clear my and a neighbor's shower drain in a timely manner. He even cleaned up the mess in the shower. No other plumber has cleaned up the mess as nicely as Sam did. I would highly recommend Roto-Rooter, especially with Sam as the plumber.

The plumber's name was Joseph Gasmen. He was excellent! Because he was in the area, he swung by our house within a few hours of our call and everything was repaired so quickly. He took the time to show me the problem and explain repair options. Since I was not authorized to completely replace the sink, Mr. Gasmen was sure to include his recommendations for completely restoring the system on the invoice.My only complaint was that we could not find a local mailing address on the invoice. My landlady had to mail the payment to the Mainland, instead of sending it to the local Oahu office. Could that be remedied?

David and Tasha were very courteous and responded quickly to our situation. Set up drying of the affected area. They even contacted my insurance company for me and set everything up. A technician (Duncan) also cleared a sewer line without any trouble. We also had a water heater that was not working and they had a separate plumber (Eli) come to take care of that. All situations have been taken care of to completion, with the exception of the drying. Adrian and Justin took care of prepping the bathrooms to dry and helped me to take the contents out. They were extremely helpful, never complained. All personnel took extreme care with the residence and were very professional.

Rance did an exceptional job in getting the clog resolved. While difficult, He took the time to do a complete job looking at and test several angles to clear the drain. Spent time gaining knowledge of the property to find cleanouts and verify they were clear. Came up with recommended plan for preventative problems in the future.

Eddie from RotoRooter was very professional, efficient, and friendly. He explained the process and quickly removed the clog. We had already tried with a 25 foot snake, but was unable to clear it. Glad we were able to hire RotoRooter to fix the problem which was about 50+ feet down the line.
Osman did an incredible job. He was very detailed in describing everything as he performed his job. He first explained to me that he needed to locate where there the leak was. He explained all charges before he started the job. Through precise cutting through the drywall, he located the parts, went through all may have happened and with his professional opinion, he spotted the leak and did a fantastic job in repairing the pipe. Called to schedule an appointment to repair water heater, waited the four hour duration that I was scheduled for and had to call several times to check ETA of technician. I was told he was running behind schedule. Technician came an hour later after the four hour window thus the rating of only 4 stars but Tina the dispatcher was very helpful in keeping me notified. Johnny showed up, informed me of the situation and gave me my options. After confirming the job, Johnny had to call in a second technician Matt for assistance and within about 4 hours they had purchased new heater removed old and installed the new one, restoring hot water to the entire home. Roto Rooter has once again saved the day and sent out capable friendly hard working technicians. Thanks Johnny and Matt for working into the night! Great service! And yes, I would definitely call Roto Rooter again!

On October 31, 2014, my kitchen faucet was leaking. Joseph from Roto-Rooter came to my home in Manoa to replace the whole unit. It was done in a timely and efficient manner. Can not say enough about my experience. The tech arrived yesterday but we lost water due a main break and had to reschedule. Returned this morning and immediately got to work. Very polite, respectful and professional. Made small talk easily and offered to show me the video feed of our issue. Will highly recommend this company to anyone. Great experience from talks with dispatch to the technician. Thank you Roto for the help.

We had a problem with our main line and we called Roto-Rooter at 7:30pm. Rance came within an hour and had my line cleaned out in no time. He maintained a professional, friendly attitude throughout considering he had to do this call at night. If another problem arises Rance would be my first call.

Lewis Watson came out to address a serious main drain pipe clog with a beast of a machine in tow. The clog was cleared quickly and Lewis was absolutely professional and took the time to explain everything along the way. Another quality job well done!

Extremely professional and helpful. Explained the repairs and recommended future repairs and how to go about doing them. (If I so choose to take on the future repair myself). Pricing is typically high but you are paying for the knowledge so it’s worth the price. Shower is working and the family is happy. Worth the price of admission!

I am very happy with the job done and service provided. My plumber Jordan arrived with in 2 hours (unlike the 3 days I was quoted from another company) and he explained the problem, had the parts to fix it in his van and did it with a smile.
Amazing and fast service. Called and they were at my home in less than 1.5 hrs.

They tell you they can’t give an estimate until they see the problem but charge a $100 to come out, and then tell you they have a flat rate of $1,800!! If it’s a flat rate, why not lead with that? Waste a $100.Also they did not arrive at the time they said they would.

Rance: great service, very punctual, good communication skills and respectful! Omg I'm not using these guys again unless I get that dude Rance again. Dude is amazing, knows what tf he's doing, and explains things really well to where I know nothing about plumbing but I was able to understand what was going on. I'm so thankful that this mess was taken care of so quickly.

Joe did a great job.
They came quickly and they did what I asked and that's why I'm giving them 3 stars. However they realized we were in a desperate situation and WAY overcharged us to camera our pipes. Over $700. We didn't even receive a copy of the video which apparently we should have. We were also told our city lateral was in the middle of our front yard which was not true. Additionally I was promised a follow up estimate to fix the actual problem and I never received anything. I wouldn't call again.

Matt was fantastic - he will definitely be the one I ask for the next time I need a plumber and Roto Rooter is my new first call. Weekend plumbing issues are never fun but it was a breeze with him. I also appreciated the dispatcher calling to provide an update as he was delayed on other jobs.
Our bathtub was backed and Roto Rooter sent Rance and in no time he had the bathtub draining. I would recommend Rance and Roto Rooter for any drain problem he did an outstanding job.
I've had RotoRooter service a few times and i know there work is awesome. Thank you for your excellent professional's that service our problems in the past. 💯% satisfied!!!

I turn off the main water and stop the leak. I told the rep on phoneI wanted an appointment in morning as it was getting dark and was concerned about over time charges. She assured me no extra charges. I set up lighting and I cut off broken line and clean end. I had a shut off valve and was going to soldier in. The plumber arrived and took a few minutes filling out paper work. He installed my valve and a 6” pipe and elbow, I turn main on and check for leaks as He did more. paper work and. charged me over $319.Most of time was paperwork. Half hourAlmost $600 an hour.., rate ...I would call this igouging.SadAs a retired business owner and contractor I know what fair and being taken

Scheduling was lousy - I was told there is a 3 hour window and the service tech would call me 30 minutes before he arrived. I never got a call and after 3 hours I called Roto Router and they had to search for another service tech to come and fix my valve leak. An hour later, a service tech came - the service tech seemed to know what needed to be done. The estimate was higher than I expected but because it was getting late, I agreed to it and the fix was done. We shall see over a little time whether the work was good.

Sent remarks after the service. Simply put, the tech, Joseph did an excellent job clearing my washer drain. He was professional, yet very personable! I can't say the same for their admin/dispatch system as the online scheduling and the email reply from them was different. Their timing of sending a tech was off!Otherwise, I'll continue to use RotoRooter as their techs I've worked with are really good at their jobs.

Zach was absolutely perfect. In spite of parking difficulties, he arrived as scheduled. He went above the call of duty and even fixed something that I had not called about. He put up with my cats, which a lot of plumbers will not do. He was courteous and polite. I would definitely recommend him to anyone with any problem - he can fix them all. The cost was as quoted - not as much as I thought it would.
Zack arrived and was very friendly, but most of all he was knowledgeable as to our problem of a clogged kitchen sink drain. Explained his actions as he did his job. Excellent results with super advice on how to avoid similar problems in the future. Neat and tidy work as Zack cleaned up after the job was completed. Highly recommend Roto-Rooter Plumbing and Drain Services.

From start to finish; excellent service. I had a hole in garbage disposal last night and googled for a professional to replacement the same. I saw your firm and was not familiar with your services beyond drain services. Reviewed your website, scheduled an appointment for the next morning and received a confirmation soon thereafter. Was impressed with our Roto-Rooter plumber Ronnell. He was a professional in providing me an estimate and explaining each step of the way while completing the job, uniform was clean and neat, and he carried himself and communicated very well. I would recommend Roto-Rooter and Ronnell to my friends and will call upon for future needs. Great experience. By the way, this work was done on New Year's Eve (12/31). I wasn't expecting and was happily surprised given the holiday season.
Our main kitchen line was clogged. I was able to clear it in the past but this time the job was too big. Called Roto Rooter. I am glad I did. Rance was very prompt and professional. He was able to clear out our clog in minutes which I tried clearing earlier for about two hours. Glad I called. Excellent job. Very nice person.

Casey, Matt, Rance and Chris were professional, polite, kind and understanding. Casey and Rance worked on the initial snaking and jetting while Matt helped me to initiate my home insurance claim and explained the next steps, water restoration, once Casey and Rance finished their part. Chris wrapped things up and helped me to visually understand the why this may have happen. I am clear in my go-forward tasks with my HOA and really appreciate these guys coming out on a Sunday and Holiday!

Great actual service, a little expensive for one pipe but professionally done. The only issue was the time of technician showing up. Was scheduled for a 8-1200 show time and he didn’t arrive until almost 5 in the afternoon.
5 star service. Thank you John for being courteous and taking the time to explain what you were doing to resolve the issue. I would not hesitate utilizing your plumbing services again in the future.
