Terrible customer service due to hostile attitude of employee (presumably the owner due to his arrogance and old age). The poor experience started with my call to the store to get some clarification as to the store's exact location, as it was not easy to find from the street. The person I spoke with was a bit short with me and was clearly frustrated at having to provide this assistance. When my wife and I entered the store, a man waved us over to the counter. It was immediately clear that this was likely the same person I spoke with on the phone as he walked up to the counter without saying anything and stared at me waiting for me to start the conversation. As I tried to explained to him the current configuration of our tub faucet, he continued to insist that my explanation was inadequate. I even took pictures and showed him what we were working with (which was enough for the Lowes employee to understand), but he kept incoherently rambling on about how there must be more than what I am showing him. When he angrily told me I don't even know how to get to first base with you, I told him we would take our business elsewhere and that he had a bad attitude.
I am clearly not a plumbing expert. I took a photo of the internals of my tub faucet to show my current setup (to the maximum extent possible without breaking tile), hoping that a professional could provide a bit of guidance. That clearly did not happen. Even if I am not the desired clientele, I would still expect a basic level of decency in how the employees/owner interact with potential customers.
If, in fact, the person I spoke with was the owner and is reading this, I would suggest you check your attitude/your mental health for the sake of your business.
