I have been a long time customer, but not any more. They came out to repair a small leak in my water pipe. In the process my water softener was moved to fix the pipe. The water softener previously worked perfectly. After the plumber left, the tap water turned orange. The orange was the resin from the once perfect water softener. It got throughout our water system and clogged the faucets. Slaughter sent out plumbers on 2 occasions. None helped other then to say my faucets were 'Off Brand' (they are rubi). Their only solution was to charge me up to $1200 to replace my water softener. The last plumber to visit said that he would have the owner give me a call which never happened. SO BEWARE!!!
I called Slaughter Plumbing last Sunday @ 10:30 A.M. with clogged kitchen sinks in our
Vacation Rental Beach House. The Plumber John called me W/I 15 minutes... He told me he had
2 Service calls before me but he would try to get out there as soon as he could. John had the clog taken care of and in his truck by 12:00 Noon... That was LESS THAN 2 Hours ! ! ! The guests were in total shock
On the Quickness of me taking care of issue and the Courtesy of the Plumber... Slaughter Plumbing
made me look like a Hero... I strongly recommend this company for any of your service needs.

I have been trying to find a reasonable plumber to install a new water softener for over a month. I finally called Slaughter and they said they would send someone out in three days. Jeff showed up on time and he was very professional. I asked for an estimate before he got started and he gave me a price that was affordable and honest.
He was in and out in no time. The install definitely looks like professional did the job.

Chuck correctly determined and solved the problem I was experiencing with my guest bathroom. His work is quick, clean and meticulous. It is easy to see that he takes pride in a job well done. Slaughter Plumbing will be the company that I call from now on.
The business card say free estimator.They charged me $87 for tell me that my problem is the faucet in my tub. Them they told me that they need to change my faucet and that has to be different because my old faucet is not longer . They will gonna charge me $800 . Then I went to Home Depot and found the exactly faucet . Please do not trust in this business .
I flush my toilet and find out the drain is clogged. Both my bathrooms are now disabled and it's 4PM SUNDAY......fantastic!!!
I hit up google to find an emergency service. First company says next day, second company doesn't answer the phone, third company is Slaughter. I happened to get lucky with my timing so their guy arrives in 10 minutes. The guy (Jeff) is friendly and energetic. Right away he's hustling and lugging heavy equipment around like a beast.
Cost was $250 and he finished in less than an hour. I have no clue if the price is competitive, but it was late on a Sunday and they got my house up and running again......money well spent. I'm new to Largo and this is the first time I've needed a plumber, they will be my first call the next time I need someone.
I needed 2 water valves replaced under the Vanity in my Master Bath. I left a message Sunday night on their machine. First thing Monday morning I received a call with a price to do the job.
There are companies out there that charge you $50- bucks to come to your house to give you a price. Slaughter Plumbing gave me a price over the phone for the work I requested and that was right on the money.
I appreciate their straight forward way of doing business.
We made an appointment for this afternoon. Cody came to do the job. He was right on time. Very professional. I had a number of questions about the type of valves we should put in and he gave me his recommendation and reasons why.
While he was replacing the valves, I told him that the fixture above the sink was not quite tight. While he was down there he adjusted the mount and we are all set.
Cody explained everything and answered all of my questions. He got the job done quickly and he cleaned up everything.
He asked if he could do anything else for me. I told him that we are going to be replacing the toilet soon and he recommended a Gerber Comfort fit elongated toilet.
I looked on-line and saw the Allerton™ 1.28 gpf 12 Rough-In Two-Piece Elongated ErgoHeight™ Toilet. Looks great and has very good reviews.
I am very happy with the service that I received from Slaughter Plumbing today. I will be contacting them soon to install my new toilet. Cody was fantastic and I would recommend Cody and Slaughter Plumbing to everyone.
No need to call any other plumbing service to compare. I can't say enough good things about John and Slaughter Plumbing. They are now on my speed-dial list. The attention to detail, professionalism, kindness, and willingness to listen and help are beyond reproach. John even spent some time with my dogs so they were comfortable with him being in the house. Great service and great value!

Woke up to hissing noise and water leaking everywhere. Left a message after hours and they responded 2 minutes after they opened at 8am. Came within the allotted window, then told me what we needed. We went and got what we needed from Lowe’s and they came back the same day and everything is now fixed. We’re super nice on the phone and in person. This was my first need for a plumber as a homeowner and now they’re who I will be calling for the duration that I own this home.
They have Aflac! Great benefits...
Came out fast Christmas Eve night charged me $400 emergency drain clean out spent less then 10 mins entire job!! Now 3 days later same drain backing up... now they want another $300 to do correctly what they didn’t Christmas Eve... I will pay but will never recommend or use again... zero customer service

Very disappointed that part of the labor charge over and above the call out fee, included the owners son turning the water off and getting a part from the van. Oddly the person who answered the phone when I complained about the high labor charge, as I mentioned that I saw the time the plumber arrived and left on the ring camera said that there were two people on the job... will never use again it’s a very sneaky way of changing additional fees.
I had an emergency with my water heater, one of the hoses sprang a leak at around 9:00 PM 12/27/16. The turn off valve was stripped and not working, and I could not find the main shut off outside. I called Slaughter and the technician promised to come out within an hour. He arrived sooner than expected and immediately begin to work on the problem. He was polite, friendly and efficient. He removed the old flexible hoses and used copper to replace them. I would definitely recommend Slaughter, and the cost was reasonable too, considering the late hour.

I have called Slaughter Plumbing on two occasions. They provide prompt and professional service. I am very pleased and will use them again. Seviceperson Dave is awesome!
When I needed help, they quickly and professionally addressed the problem. They showed up exactly when they said they would, understood the issue, advised on the solution, and did an outstanding job fixing the problem. I routinely turn to Slaughter Plumbing and they have never disappointed us!
Slaughter came out to our house months ago because we had a toilet that was leaking from the base. The first guys that they sent only caulked the base of the toilet, threw our bath towels down all around it on the floor and told us don’t use the toilet for a week. After they left we called the company and complained and they sent out a supervisor who was able to fix the problem. We paid for the service call for the supervisor to come out but now they are trying to charge us for the two clowns who did absolutely nothing and even sent it to a collection agency. Terrible customer service. I would never recommend this company.

The gentleman that came to the house I wish I remembered his name was professional and new his job very well. He came in checked the issue and figured out the problem fixed it I thought it was more of a problem than it was saved me money and and was gone. I will recommend this company to anyone who needs a plumber. I want to say, thank you, Slaughter Plumbing.
Called this business for their 24/7 service obviously during an emergency at around 8:30 pm. They use an answering service that took all of my information. The lady said I would get a call from Eric in just a couple minutes. So I sat in my garage watching the sewer water backing up into my garage. We couldn't even use the bathroom or kitchen sink much less shower or use the facilities. Emergency? You judge. 30 minutes later still no call back to I try to call them back. Apparently while calling them back he must have called and left a message to call the business number again. So I call the number back and the same lady says, okay let me verify your address, phone number, reason for calling, blah blah blah. I told the lady that I cannot wait all night and will need to call somebody else to deal with my emergency. She said she will relay the info. I never received a call back from Eric. So, Slaughter Plumbing, I do not recommend your service. You were unreliable during the most important plumbing experience of my wife and my lives. You lacked the understanding that if someone is calling you at 9 pm, they obviously need service ASAP. And you didn't have the decency or professionalism to call back and at least say you weren't available. You got the message as evidenced by the message left on my phone. Or did you just slydial? Folks, when you need service, call J&R Plumbing. They answer their messages and do it with a smile. That's who called back immediately and was at my house 30 minutes later. I couldn't even get Eric from Slaughter plumbing to call back in 30 minutes. And Eric, next time you return a phone call for an emergency, maybe call right back if you don't get the person just in case you called them while the person was calling you!

400 for an out door shower I had to redo cuz all the tapcons were stripped out and they even shoved part a rubber glove to try and get the tapcons to grab lol....smh...I also had to clean up after the tech! So basically I paudb400 to have some pipes sweated together!
I called them to fix my running toilet, only that the toilet was still running. I called them back and they wanted to charge me again for something they failed to fix the first time. They want to charge me $450 because today is Saturday and $350 if I could wait until next week. JUST TO FIX A RUNNING TOILET!
BEWARE they have an answering service, so you do not get neither a person that can help you right away nor someone that can give you an appoitment time. I basically paid $115 for a new handle...THAT IS ROBBERY!! NOT ONLY THEY ARE EXPENSIVE, BUT ALSO DEAD BEAT PLUMBERS.

I have used this company for the last 15 years, I have always found them fair and reasonable until recently.
Beware of their mark up practices on parts. I honestly think the service person charges whatever they want.
For example I was charged 180 dollars for 1 1/2 hrs labor and for a service call. No problem, but then I was charged 120 dollars for 4 shut off valves, 3 sleeves and 1 90 degree elbow. My jaw hit the floor. I expected a healthy mark up, but not at this level. These shut off valves are 8.95 at Home Depot. Lesson learned, I'll buy my own parts next time or I'll shop around for a more reputable plumber company.
I had to replace my tankless water heater back in early June, and the company apparently can't add as whole because the tech charged me a $100 more than what the total was for parts and labor. I've called a couple of times DURING business hours and talked to different people every time, gave them my info and it STILL has not been fixed... This is beyond frustrating.. Here it is September, and I have yet to get that refund. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AGAIN...

It's unfortunate that I cannot leave less then one star. My toilet was backing up, and toilet water was filling up into my tub. A man came out and snaked the the main drain. He charged me $208. A week later the toilet and tub started bubbling up again. I called them back out a second time. The man said that nothing appeared to be wrong, that pressure may have built up and then subsided but charged me $50.00 for the 15 minutes of his time just the same. Tonight at 3 am the bath tub started bubbling up and the toilet over flowed with sewage water all over the bathroom, kitchen, and hallway. I called slaughter who advertises 24 hour service. When the plumber called me back and asked me what was going on he cut me off, and said, yeah, yeah do you want me to come out there or not? I said you asked me what was happening I'm just trying to tell you. He said you called me at 3 am do you want me out there or not? I said no thank you and called someone else. In the grand scheme of things $250 is not a whole lot of money, but when you paid it for nothing its a lot. When you called them out twice willing to pay whatever you needed to to make sure nasty toilet water wouldn't be backing up into your home in the middle of the night $250 is an awful lot. It's surely an awful lot for someone who advertises 24 hour service to be rude to you when you are in a panic because raw sewage is backing up into your home where you, your kids, and pets live when you have already called them out twice during perfectly reasonable hours of the day to FIX the problem.

So we made an appointment to have a repair done, you know how regular working people take days off for stuff like this. Guy shows up early (30m).. good but I was still getting my kids breakfast, however its not that. The guy looks at my jacuzzi tub and says he's probably going to have to break something to fix it. Of course more money, but not mad about that.. he goes on to tell me that he will have to come back another day.. I made an APPOINTMENT to have this fixed, we explained what we needed and was told it would be done.. mad about this, where's my time that I have an APPOINTMENT for? Then he proceeds to tell me I cant carry all the faucets and valves in my van.. really??? What about ace, lowes, home depot? He says it's a waste of time to go there.. IT WAS A WASTE OF TIME TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH YOU. Smart comments and no results.. get your plumbing needs done by someone else.

I tried to use this business but it seems they do not need anymore customers. I initially called on the morning of May 6th about a repair on my water softener and new filters on my reverse osmosis system. I was happy the someone(my mom cannot remember his name) had come to my house and bypassed the water softener. He told my mother that there was no charge today and he would order the parts and bill me then. I hadn't heard anything so i called on May 17th and reached Cheryl who let me know there was no order for my property and would get back to me. That did not happen. I called on May 18th and spoke with Sharon who told me she could not find the order for my property either. She then stated that the guy that works on water softeners will be back in tomorrow(May 19th). She told me she would look into it and call me that afternoon. Needless to say i have heard nothing! I have now hired a different local plumber!

They fit me in fast and did a great job installing two toilets at a very reasonable price.
We had an emergency. I tried moving the hose to a better spot. The spigot on the side of the house began spouting water both inside the wall and outside the exterior wall! And since this is our new home, the broken shut off valve hasn't been fixed yet. So, I began calling plumbers. The fifth call was to Slaughter Plumbing. In spite of it being very busy, they had someone here within 30 minutes and he managed to get the shut off valve at the street turned off and then fixed our leak. I'm so happy I cannot even explain. Thanks Jamie for a great job!

Well over priced. Get a 2nd estimate before going with this company. Service was good when they arrived, however, I was told they would be there on a specific day and that didn’t happen. I was told they would finish the job in one day and that didn’t happen. Since they didn’t finish in one day they said they would be there the next day. That didn’t happen. And I was doing all the calling only to discover they weren’t coming. No call or heads up from their staff until I called. Basically it took them 4 days to do a job that they said would be done in 1. They lost my business.

Wow. Talk about customer service. We had a plumbing emergency at our house and my neighbor told us about Slaughter plumbing. I explained the situation and the girl said she thought she had a plumber in our neighborhood and would call his cell to see when he could be at my property. Within 15 minutes Paul was at my house and examining the problem. Within another 30 minutes another plumbing technician showed up and the problem was fixed within the hour. These guys were courteous and professional. I am so grateful to my neighbor for sharing this incredible service oriented company. I had a few bad experiences with other local companies but have finally found someone I can rely on for Life! Thanks Slaughter plumbing!!
We had Slaughter Plumbing come out to our house, and one of the things we asked him to do was unclog the drain in our shower. He said it was completed and left. The next morning when we took our showers, still clogged. We called them back, and the same plumber came out and fixed it this time. He didn't charge us since he obviously hadn't fixed it the first time. Well, in a few weeks we get a bill for $95 dollars for that second visit (we had already paid our bill from the first visit). We called the office to let them know what happened, thinking they would just cancel out the bill (especially since we had already paid the first bill). No such luck. We fought the bill, and they threatened to turn us over to collections. We'll never use them again! We have found another plumber we will happily give our business to from now on.

I cannot say enough great things about Slaughter Plumbing and especially Zach. I had a main water line break at 2:30 in the morning on Labor Day. This resulted in a 30-foot high geyser shooting water out for but seemed like forever...
Our HOA leaders quickly reached out to Slaughter and Zach was on the scene by 3:30 AM. He shut down the water on the property and had the broken pipe repaired before noon. Zach did a phenomenal job with the repair... All the while very professional and pleasant to deal with. A++

Slaughter Plumbing replaced a hot water heater on my third floor with total ease. I had some concerns because I have white carpet on that floor; however, they were in and out and you never knew they were there. They were on time, courtious, no after problems from work performed, and very clean. Would definately recomend

Tech arrived on time. Verified with me the price for replacing the disposal I’ve been a customer for over 20 years. I was highly disappointed that the plumber did not wear a face mask. In the second worst state in the country for COVID-19. Also I wasn’t asked the basic COVID-19 questions when setting up the appointment. First time I was not at all impressed by the technician who did the work!

Replaced faucet, on time, quick work, done well and good price. I had occasion to use Slaughter Plumbing a 2nd time for a meter leak. They arrived the next day and sorted out the problem. They are friendly, fast and reliable.
Extremely disappointed with customer service this was initial call they promised to call back that didn’t happen, and when I called again just seemed very abrupt, maybe the lady was having a bad day!!!

We had to call Slaughter Plumbing the other night for a serious backup at our home. The person taking the call was very courteous and professional and the service tech Gary was also on time and very professional. He was able to clear the drain and get us back in shape in no time. He also was very diligent to make sure he cleaned up after his work and left the area in better shape than when he arrived.

I have used slaughter plumbing for repair, new construction, and for a water softener. In each case they did good work and were courteous and responsive to my schedule requirements. They earned their money.
They saved me from having to jack-hammer the floor. Somehow a top to a can of shaving cream ended up in the pipes below our bedroom, which we did not know was the issue at the time. We couldn't use the sink, shower, or toilet. I even had the city come out because I thought it was related to the work than had done days before but they couldn't find anything. Slaughter Plumbing was recommended by a fellow mom from my mom's group as her father was a plumber with them. He came over and let me watch him use the camera snake and sure enough there was a very large object deep below the bedroom where the pipes passed. At first he just couldn't get the object to budge, but after nearly an hour he got it dislodged and slowly moved the object along the pipe and out from under the house to the back yard using only the camera head to do it! He moved it until he saw the clean-out, went to the back yard, dug a tiny hole, opened the clean-out, and voila! Out popped a shaving cream can top. I think I paid two hundred dollars, which is far less than the predicted $1-2k we were expecting to pay to dig up the floor in the bedroom to access the pipe. They also offered us a military discount. Great guys.

Very impressed with this company. Discovered our leaking water heater late last night and before noon the next day, it was replaced. Jeff was professional and a very hard worker. Great service!

I had a dishwasher removed the previous day and the man told me the way it had been installed I needed a plumber to finish the job. Called Slaughter and they were here next morning 15 minutes early. They redid the pipe under kitchen sink and then I asked if he would look at my bathroom sink. He adjusted the popup assembly and now it works fine. Connor & Jamie are a great team. Pleasant, professional, got the job done and out the door. Couldn't ask for anything better. To me price was reasonable for two men, a truck and a service call. Would definitely use them again and recommend them highly.

Slaughter was recommended to me by two different people, so I decided to call them when our garbage disposal started leaking under the kitchen sink. My husband is out-of-town on business, so I was a little leery of having a repair person come to the house, for fear they'd assume I was clueless and try to take advantage of me. Quite the contrary!
Nate came to the house and was prompt, courteous, professional and did a thorough job. He showed the utmost integrity, explained to me all that he repaired and was truly there to help me out, NOT to make a quick buck or upsell me. I'm extremely pleased with the result and would recommend them to anyone!
After 3 visits they could not fix issues even though they said it was. Over charged us. When I had to leave my wife to deal with them with the 3rd different plumber he was extremely rude and talk down to my wife. Terrible experience. RESPONSE TO OWNERS RESPONSE: After the 3rd visit, 3rd different plumber and job still was not complete I wasn't about to call and waste my time with your company and shouldn't have to call you to discuss your workers poor behavior. They should be trained to act professional and just get the work done and correctly. The lack of experience of two of the plumbers was surprising and disappointing. Had another company come out that week and fixed everything within 30 minutes and when discussing the previous visits with the new plumber he said, What the hell were they thinking?
We have been doing business with Slaughter Plumbing for some time now. Last year we needed a new Hot Water Heater, we went with what they recommended and within a few months we noticed a significant decrease in our electric bill. Recently we installed a water softener, not only did they do a professional job installing it, but they educated us on the difference between a water softener and water filter, salt or no salt. Slaughter also installed our Reclaim Water System and helped design the Layout for the sprinkler heads. As a result we now have one of the finest green lawns in the neighborhood. I highly recommend Slaughter Plumbing for all your plumbing needs. Remember...when you think Water go with Slaughter.
Could not even get a quote from last two weeks for water softener installation! Called 3 times, and no quote yet. Disappointed!

i'm from Pennsylvania and have a place in Largo , my neighbor called me Saturday to tell me that our new water line installed by another company was leaking. i looked up Slaughter and left a message with the answering service person to have someone contact me first thing Monday morning. i received that phone call and before i landed in Florida the lines was repaired and they did a fantastic job. In the future i will call Slaughter as my Plumbing service provider of choice. Thanks you so much Slaughter Team.

BUYER BEWARE: I had used them once about a couple of years ago, and from what I recall there were no issues. I called them again just recently about a leak. They gave me a fixed time (not a range), but showed up 2 hours later, and that after I called them. After about 5 minutes, he told me it would cost $415 to fix. I thanked and told him I would think about it and call them back (and paid him the $79 for the service call). He was not at all happy and became rude, pushy and sarcastic, saying things like if I did not fix right away it would cost me a lot more, etc. I was getting quite uncomfortable, and just wanted him to leave, which is what I ended up asking him to do.
I had the leak fixed by another plumbing company that weekend for $105!
These guys are like the service provider nightmare that you are afraid of. They feel you have no alternative, and try to just get as much as they can from you.

Had Slaughter Plumbing come out again today for like the 3rd or 4th time. They are always just great. Had a clogged tub drain issue. Old house thought it was the mechanism and going to be a major cut through the wall issue. But it wasn’t and he worked his magic. And also replaced the guts in our toilet they were getting squeaky. Under warranty. And showed me how to disconnect the sink plunger to make for easier cleaning. In and out in like 25 mins. Jeff was our technician. Supe Nice and friendly. And professional. And wore a mask. Thanks again, Slaughter Plumbing. You guys are the best. 🙌🏼🌞
A big Thank you to Slaughter Plumbing. We called in the morning that our Hot Water Tank was leaking. by Mid afternoon they arrived with a new tank, installed it and finished with in a couple of hours. I like to DIY. My toilet had a leak. I bought new parts and set out to fix the leak. I got to the last nut and bolt which would have allowed me to replace the necessary parts. The nut and bolt were so corroded that nothing I tried would separate the two. I gave up and called Slaughter Plumbing. Jeff came to my house the same day. He couldn't separate them either (that made me feel better about my skills.) He pulled out a hack saw and cut them apart without scratching my toilet. Then he installed my new parts within minutes. Slaughter Plumbing hired Jeff. Jeff rescued me and did not make me feel bad about my not being able to handle that bolt myself. Thank you for the fast and friendly service.

Slaughter said that they will never charge you twice. Well, they came out to snake a drain, we thought the problem was fixed. One week later we still had a backup, so they came back out and recommended that we get a camera to look in the drain. Camera guy came out, looked at our toilet and said we need to replace it. Now we have a $350 bill for a camera guy that was completely unnecessary if slaughter had sent out a competent plumber in the first place who would've told me that all I needed was a new toilet. I replaced the toilet myself and everything is fine. Today I get the $350 bill from slaughter, who did nothing to even help me, and this is on top of an initial bill for the first plumber. I will not use them again.
