I had booked for someone to come to my house between 6 - 8 pm to unclog my toilet. He didn't show up till 11 PM and then breaks his snake and tries to tell me there is something major stuck in my toilet. But mine goes down but is not long enough. Then he stands there saying omg this tool is $50 and then tells me he can pull my toilet off and fix it but it will cost me $400 umm how bout NO! Very angry that I now don't have a toilet to use till Monday because I didn't want to pay what he was asking. He was the only guy on call all weekend for the company and told me he wouldn't come out again and use another snake he wanted to charge me crazy prices. He used my snake and it went down so it's not the toilet it's in the line. Very unhappy with this company and will make sure my friends and family never use them ever!

Kevin came to do a backflow check, found an issue, repaired on site immediately. Very nice and reasonable service.

This company has the worst customer service I think I've ever experienced. Be aware, the parent company, CoolToday, has 23 Better Business Bureau complaints and 8 in the last year. We made an appointment with Plumbing Today to fix a leaking shower head back in February. The repairman found the problem, but needed a new part to fix it. Before he left he talked us into purchasing the TotalCare Today Service Plan for $399. In total we paid over $700. That was the last time we saw him. I made several calls asking when they were coming back to finish the job, but no one ever followed up. One time I was told someone would call back with the status of the new part in 20 minutes. No one called back. Several days later I called again and the CSR told me either she or the technician would call back by the end of the day. No call. After another week I called and requested a full refund and the return of the bad part. They told me I would see a full refund on my credit card within 7 to 10 business. Two weeks later no refund, so I called again. This time I was told they can refund $399 for the service plan and they would check on the refund for the unfinished work. Now three weeks later I'm still waiting on the rest of the refund.

I came home from work at 8:00pm, flushed the toilet, and the toilet backed up and leaked around the bottom. The bathtub backed up as well. I called, spoke with John at dispatch, and he sent Richard out immediately. Richard was able to diagnose the issue (a clog in the main), and he proceeded to fix it quickly and was very professional. I called several places before going with this company and I am glad I did. Their pricing and service was top notch. I absolutely recommend them!!!

I asked for extra tall toilets. I assumed that I was getting an extra-tall toilet base. That's what I was looking at when the tech was there to do the estimate.
The installation was today. The tech and his apprentice were very nice and cordial. They did an efficient job and were very clean. No mess left at all.
When I went in to see the finished product I was surprised to see the same height base as before but a three-inch deep toilet seat that is not made of super sturdy plastic. Slow closure which I liked.
I have new toilets which is nice. The installation was done well.
These toilet seats can be purchased on Amazon for 37.00 which I didn't know about until after they left and I was cruising Amazon for something for my husband’s recovery.
I would have appreciated a more open dialogue at the time of the estimate and scheduling of the job so I could make a better-informed decision.

I booked an appointment for fixing a blocked drain on Thursday July 6. The appointment was confirmed for 9-12 on Friday July 7. I had a business engagement out of town that morning, so I postponed that to the afternoon.
12 Noon on the Friday came end went. I called, was informed that the plumber was running late. I waited. The plumber showed up at 3.30 pm. He told me that he did not understand why I was given that time slot, since he only starts work at 12. I believed him.
I postponed my engagement in Fort Myers to the next day (Saturday).
So, due to sloppy scheduling and poor communication, I wasted an entire day, and had the pleasure of working on the weekend.
I am giving two stars because the plumber did a good and thorough job, otherwise it would only be one star.

My quote was so high that I almost laughed. Needless to say I'm not using them. Then the tech tried to charge me $59 for coming out.
When I called to make the appointment I specifically asked if they provided free estimates and the guy said yes.
I refused to pay him and he left.
That being said, the tech was very professional, very nice, and almost apologetic.

They cancelled my emergency appointment because the Tech called out sick about 1 1/2 hours AFTER into the window they provided had begun.

They left a voicemail and sent a text message saying I had to reschedule without any options.

I was told to expect a technician between 8 and 1. I called at 2:20 and was told he would be along shortly. I called again at 3:40 and was told someone would be at my home by 6:00. I understand emergencies happen but would have expected someone to reach out to me about the change in schedule. The estimate for repairs was extremely high for the work that needed to be done.

Plumbing Today did a repipe of our home in 2020 with the PEX system. Has been a great upgrade with a lifetime parts/labor warranty and $1 million water damage provision. Had 1st Servive call for a drip on exterior pressure regulator and came out next day for repairs at no out of pocket expense. Very satisfied with PEX and Plumbing Today for their quick response for service. Would and have recommended them to neighbors and friends. No more interior water supply issues EVER. Usually had several issues every couple of years with pinhole leaks in original plumbing copper pipes in foundation and interior walls. House is 50+ years old so some TLC is needed.

Fast and friendly!

There were quite a few positive reviews on Google and thought I'd give these guys a try. I manage rentals for a living so we are always looking to add new vendors to our list of approved contractors. Anyway, I wanted Ray Duncan to give me an estimate on installing a new kitchen faucet on a rental property we manage. Not a super-fancy faucet, just a decent $100-$125-ish faucet. I get a call from the technician that the price to install a new kitchen faucet, labor and materials, is......wait for it.......$700!!!! There were no additional obstacles that made this a difficult install, just plain highway robbery at it's finest. I told them no thanks and had it done the next day for about 1/3 of the price. Unless burning money is one of your side hobbies, I would steer clear.

We had a plumber quote us over $600 to replace our disposal with a very bottom of the line product (and over $300 to remove it), saying we needed a new disposal when I called for a clog. We ended up buying a much better one ourselves and installing, only to find out we didn't need one at all- it was, in fact, a VERY simple clog, which didn't even require snaking the drain. Considering it wasn't even looked at, the disposal was only turned on and off & it took all of 30 seconds for a non-plumber to say the clog is there because the other side of the sink works fine, it definitely seems we were intentionally being ripped off.

Super organized. Three to five team members worked the job. Great communications with each other. Very polite and professional. They kept the demolition debris etc to a minimum and at the end of the day, cleaned up the demolition site, and ensured the site was covered for safety. I have never had work done by any other companies that had the standards as Plumbing Today. This is the 3rd plumbing job they done for me and I can say that their work and employees are always great! Additionally, you always know when the Technician is on his/her way and you receive the name and a photo of the Technician before they arrive. Absolutely the best company I’ve ever worked with!

Made an appointment weeks before we flew in to Clearwater. The appointment was for between 8 and 1. They texted us several times confirming the appointment. At 10 am the day of the appointment they called and said they had no technician to do our work and it would be a week before they could do it.

This gentleman was efficient and eminently kind in his work decisions and execution. I was truly impressed and gratified.

Had a service tech show up to video our pipes to see if we had a problem. The tech then showed me where there was a problem and put a flag where it was, he then explained that they would fix it and how much. Also he recommended a cleaning of the pipes. Grand total almost $4000.00. When I went outside to show my husband the flag was gone. I looked like an idiot. I called and asked for the flag to be replaced. Was told they would be back out to replace it and it shouldn’t have been removed. Called the following day and was told the same thing. Now it’s day 3 and the flag is still not there. Make me think it’s some kind of scam to get homeowners to pay for services not needed. Beware of this company something is very shady about them. If you can’t do the little things makes me wonder what would happen with the big things.

Nathan was awesome. Installers completed the work in a timely manner and I was back up and running within a couple hours. It's nice to have hot water back thanks to Plumbing Today!

Saturday service call. They responded quickly although pretty busy day for them. Daniel was professional and fast. I signed up for their maintenance plan which includes a free drain cleaning per year as well as other services.

The Plumber arrived within the first half hour of the two hour window of time that was stated when the request for service was requested. He was very professional and friendly and completed the job in a reasonable period of time.

I've been meaning to write this review for a few months. (I apologize if I did already and forgot.) The plumber, Jim Kopacz, installed two toilets in my mother's home over a period of a couple of months. He was very fair, helpful, professional and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who is looking for a new toilet or repair on an old one.

I needed a new kitchen faucet installed. I called, and they came out the next day. William installed the faucet after having to saw off the old corroded one. He was quick and even did a great job of cleaning up afterwards. The install was rather expensive, but then isn’t everything these days!

Ray Duncan Plumbing is my go to plumber from now on! I try to do as much as I can, and I would consider myself semi handy, but when there is a problem I cannot fix I wouldn't trust anyone else. Never used them before but had an on going issue and was tired of the previous company I was using, who offered no solutions. Jamarcus got here within an hour, he was polite, understanding. I didn't have time for anything more than getting that drain cleared today, but he made suggestions and set me up with an appointment for next week. I look forward having a better plumber, so far so good.

Water helped us and his a very knowledgeable guy. Our system is very complex and was here when we bought the house. I am pretty good at this stuff and have never been able to figure it out. Scam artists! Beware!
I chose these plumbers based on their great reviews, but now believe they may have written a lot of them themselves. They came in to fix a leak, and I asked them to check the other pipes while they were fixing the existing leak as they had to move the water heater in order to access the broken pipe. The next day the same pipe was leaking again and they charged me another $400 to fix a supposed pin hole in the same pipe they had fixed previously which seemed suspicious.
They then gave me an estimate for another $3500 to repipe another section of pipe that they said would break soon if not replaced. I got 2 other opinions from different plumbers that told me that those pipes were fine and did not need to be replaced at all.
These guys are like shady used car salesman. Get a second opinion on anything they tell you

Can't say enough good things about this co. I have used their services in sarasota. when my 98 yr old dad had a plumbing backup, I called them. They were very prompt and efficient. Amazing value on a drain clearing and camera.

They came out to diagnose a leak behind our kitchen sink. We were told that they would have to call a leak detection company. That NEVER happened. I called to follow-up several times. After a week and no leak detection company information I told them we were going to find another plumber and got my $59 diagnostic fee refunded. Very poor communication and follow through.

Wanted to fix a leaky shower valve. Found these guys on Google Maps with an average 4.7 star review and they were located just down the street. Wow! Great reviews and just around the corner. Well when I called, I got a 6-hour arrival window (12-6 pm) which really sucks. Worst appt window I've ever had as a matter of fact. Sigh, okay. Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll show up earlier than later. They did promise a 30-minute heads up before arrival, but I felt I should remain near the house in case they called. Didn't want to keep them waiting after all.
Well I wasted most of my day off waiting and waiting. The dispatcher fella was decent enough to call at 5:40pm to let me know the technician wasn't going to make it; he still had hours of work to do at the previous location. We agreed he'd come back tomorrow (Saturday) at 10:00.
I was pretty frustrated at this point--I felt I had wasted a precious day off for nothing. I'm always working, so my time off is very important to me.
Tomorrow comes, he shows up promptly at 10:00, but said it'd be $650 plus parts to replace the shower valve and I'd have to make ANOTHER appointment to get it done. I admit it needed replacement, not just a new cartridge, as I had likely damaged it attempting to remove the old corroded unit. But after losing a good part of my weekend with nothing to show for it, I was fed up and just decided to fix it myself. It was a huge painful task with pipefitting, soldering, carpentry, etc. but I did it for less than $200 and about 4 hours of work and 2 hours hunting for parts. I just can't believe these guys deserve a 4.7-star review. I think they were recently acquired by a bigger out-of-town outfit that has absorbed a formerly-great small business. Maybe my experience was a fluke but thumbs down.

The 5 star rating is specifically for the plumbing techs that came out to our house to give us an estimate. The company itself I would give a 1 star due to their overpricing. They look at your issue and find on their iPad a description that best fits your repair and give you the quote that's recommended by the company. They don't take into consideration your specific need or how long it will take. So, I would say it's a corporate problem here with their overpricing habits. I would highly recommend you get at least a second opinion/estimate before using this company.

Gary came to investigate the cause of our home flooding, found the problem immediately, answered all my questions, and gave me a reasonable quote to solve the problem. Being a victim of numerous floods in my homes, I appreciate the care and attention needed of plumbing in my home...and Gary provided that. The price tag may not always be the bargain you’re looking for, but having it done right gives peace of mind...and that is priceless. Thank you!

Showed up quick, friendly, cleared my main sewer line clog. Fixed the problem and very reasonably priced.

Had no repair parts on truck, went for parts, returned three hours later with a helper, took four and a half hours to replace 12 shut offs, install kitchen sink faucet (supplied by me) and installed three new cylinders in bathroom faucets. Average cost of small local plumber is 120.00 per shut off replacement. I had 12 done. Total cost of plumbing today was 3400.00 , 3000.00 after applying disabled Veteran discount.

He retired and sold name rights to some company that sends plumbers from over an hour away.

Terrible service and incompetent staff. I had a representative come out to my one bathroom house for a bathtub drain issue. I was given a $4000 quote and told it would take about 2 days starting the next day. Being it was going to start the next day I agreed, I was later called and told it would have to go to their projects department so would not start till Monday morning. They came out Monday worked for a couple hours then had to come out Tuesday to put the actual piping in. At that time he said he needs to have the inspection done. Come to find out that the first guy did not complete the proper paperwork so the permit was not pulled until that day, now a week after I agreed to have it done. They finally get an inspection scheduled for Friday and told me I would get a call from inspector 30 minutes before he got there so I could let him in. I never heard from the inspector and after calling the City of Tampa permitting office found out that you have to call the inspector in the morning of inspection and that the plumbing companies know this. I had to ask for another inspection for the following day. I finally spoke to another person in their office in the late afternoon after multiple calls as you cannot speak to a manager because they have no direct line, and at that point she asked if anyone called the city for a reinspection. I had but once again they failed at there job. At this point I have not been able to stay in my home for at least 7 additional days because of there employees incompetence. They also pulled the wrong permit and the inspector was good enough to change it as to not have to pull another one. Their way to compensate is to give a 5% discount a whopping $200. They do not respond. I’ve asked to speak yo a manger at least 5 times but none has called. The first two days of work could have been in one. Their trucks say Plumbing Today but 2 weeks later.

Over charged my elderly mother.The main line was broke in her yard and the first repair was to her faucet in the kitchen which had a very slow drip.The water meter was spinning very fast so a slow drip does not cause that.The second time out was to fix the broke line in the yard.That second repair would have stopped the meter spinning.My Mom is living on social security so she has no extra money for misdiagnosing repairs needed.My family has used this company before but not anymore.You have just lost a long customer.If you cared like you say you do your company would have looked into this service call instead of just sending a bill.Bad service does kill a business......My mom lives 1 block from your office and she is 78 years old.Respect your elders...................

Very grateful that they were able to respond so quickly on the day before Hurricane Irma was to hit, and the workman did a good job, BUT- $288.00 to replace 3 cracked plastic fittings? And they didn't have all the right fittings on the truck and had to go to Home Depot to get them? The 4 stars is for the employee that came to my house; I'd like to give ZERO stars to their accounting department- this is obviously NOT Ray Duncan Plumbing any more, as he never would have charged me anywhere near this much.

I was disappointed with Plumbing Today when they came out to provide me with a quote for two toilet installations. To purchase a low end toilet from Plumbing Today with installation and a Maintenance Agreement was $1,700. The cost for this senior citizen on a fixed income was excessively high. I am looking for other resources that is more senior friendly.

Prior to purchasing a home in Largo, I had it inspected in order to obtain insurance prior to closing. The inspection report noted that the main water valve should be replaced. Plumbing Today was called, the plumber arrived late afternoon on July 31, 2020.
He called me and said the cost would be $567 to replace a $25 valve. I asked why so much? He responded that the book says $442 to replace the valve and an additional $125 for chipping concrete away to access the valve.
I noted that the concrete is stucco and that was ridiculous. I would call another plumber. He asked me to wait while he called his manager. He called back and said he would delete the $125 surcharge and give me a seniors discount of 5%. The total was reduced to $417 to replace a $25 valve.
The Sellers were present and told me it took him about an hour to replace the valve. They then found that he had damaged the adjacent hose bib and called him about the water leaking from that faucet. He returned and replaced the hose faucet.
I do not understand why this company gets so many good reviews. I had to have the valve replaced by the next day so I agreed to the $417 price.
It says on the invoice 30-40 MH001 Main house shutoff up to 1 or any other valve below 1...$417. I do not believe this is fair pricing for the amount of work and the materials cost. I will never call Plumbing Today again (they have offices in Dunedin and Sarasota). If you are tempted to call them, I suggest you look further for a more reasonable plumber.

Water heater failed while our children were visiting. Couldnt be without hot water. Called another company, they couldn't come until next day. Cool Today had a tech there in 2 hrs. He diagnosed the issue, explained options. We chose to replace unit as this was the third burner failure on a 3-yr old water heater. Install was completed in less than 4 hrs. We are so pleased with Cool Today!

I called Plumbing Today and set up an appointment as I needed them to come on a specific day. They confirmed that would work and they would be here. I got a call during the afternoon of the service day saying they got held up at other jobs and would not be able to make it that day or even the next day. The person who called did not even apologize or seem to care. Very disappointed and will never use them again.

I have what is called water hammer in my system. Plumbing Today sent over a technician that had to be with his supervisor on the phone and troubleshoot the problem,with no avail. Snd on top of it tried to sell my wife a whole new pipeline for the whole house. The guy that came the next day, before even looking at the, said you need a new valve. He did not troubleshoot the problem. He said that he looked at the manufacturer of the system and they are from China and there website is in Chinese, I looked it up it NOT in Chinese! It's in English, the guy tried to sell my wife an $1100 job, which is under warranty (parts). I do.not feel that the guys know how really solve an issue, the are trying to get an easy fix and charge for it. If you need a plumbing repair DO NOT CALL THEM! ! I am extremely disappointed.

VERY expensive. They quoted me $8,500 to replace a single drain pipe (cast iron to PVC) and said they would be 2 months out before they could start. I got another quote and only paid $3,500 for the EXACT SAME JOB and they were able to start the following week.

Not to mention the video camera guy was late every time and got his camera stuck. Do your self a favor and get quotes from other establishments before doing anything big with these guys.

Nathan was great! He is very knowledgeable and got along great with my roommate's cat. The cat insisted on helping the entire time and Nathan turned that into a running joke. This past week was very stressful and I'm glad he brought some levity to the situation.

Not sure if I am leaving this for the RIGHT business ... I dealt with Heinz Cool Today. I don't know who Ray Duncan is, and I had A/C work done, not plumbing. The marketing seems very scattered here if they are the same company. I was great with them when they were simply Heinz A/C.

Scheduling, however, was a mess. I had an afternoon appointment, confirmed with a text ... no show. When I called, I was told there was a scheduling error. Both CSRs sounded young/unsure of themselves. Now that the work is done, I am getting far TOO much contact via email and text, and it has only been one day. Wondering how much spam email is about to flood me.

We have had numerous personnel in our home to service A/C, plumbing and electrical since we’ve encountered this company. Everyone has been very knowledgeable and professional. Special thanks to Troy in the plumbing department who helped us with a recent plumbing leak and also was able to upgrade a few plumbing things while he was here. My first review ever written because of this company. Gary arrived and provided estimate and the next day, a crew of 3 gentlemen arrived to do the job as stated. All 4 were polite and professional. Having owned 6 homes in my 55+ years, I have never encountered a crew that exceeded my expectations like these guys did. All 4 explained the process, pipes/fittings used, and safety features in a patient manner. They were respectful of home and cleaned/vacuumed prior to leaving. I had all the incoming water lines to home, faucets, toilet and hot water heater replaced; a big job but was done in a day. I will use this company for any home issues that arise thanks to these guys setting an above the bar standard. I am so proud of my new plumbing and No more Leaks! My only regret is I cannot go past 5 stars.

I contracted Ray duncan Plumbing to re-pipe and relocate drain pipes on my personal home. My wife and I are completely remodeling our new home, it is a 5 bedroom 3 bath home. Felix and his crew did and awesome job the quality of their work is second to none. We were also provided a lifetime warranty. Felix took the time to ensure that the plumbing fixtures and piping would be functional and accessible in the event we need to service a fixture.

For the Total Care Today package of $399 annual, I did not receive the following. The toilet re-builds was not available due to the style of toilet. The Flush & Drain Water Heater was not available since the water heater is tankless. The professional water quality evaluation was not available since I have a reverse osmosis system. Furthermore, there is no evidence of an annual backflow certification.

Top notch service. Steve was a first class tradesman, quality work, took the time to listen to what I wanted. Would use them again for sure. Highly recommend.

Check Better Business Bureau, there are several complaints on this company (wish I would have checked there first). On 7/1/16 I filed my own complaint just 4 days later another woman filed a complaint for her 86 year old mother that had a similar experience.

Don Showed up 3 hours earlier that the appointment was for, he checked out the problem, ask if he could plug his equipment in and went right to work. My Clogged drain was cleaned out in a matter of 10 to 15 minutes. At a very reasonable price. 1/3 the cost of other plumbers I had called that same day. I would highly recommend these plumbers. 5 Stars.

Daniel did a great job today. He checked everything possible. Then I mentioned I had a leak from the air conditioner before. He checked it.and water started to pour out. He then called dispatch and had someone from air to come out to check that before going any further. This young man answered all of my questions and was very professional and kind.

My experience was terrible. The first plumber that came out gave me incorrect information. He told me that that problem was a cracked main pipe and that it would cost me $850.00 to fix. I didn't believe his assessment. When he left he did not replace the knob and the leak was much worse. This was an irrigation system that was no longer in use. All it need was to have a pipe capped and for the fifteen minutes it took I was charged $230.00. l plan on posting this in the King Point bulletin and in the Sun City Chamber of Commerce. I do not what any of my senior neighbors to have the same experience. Also they did not clean up after themselves.

I needed immediate attention toward a main water pipe and Today Plumbing responded quickly and efficently to the problem.

Formally Ray Duncan plumbing and now Ray Duncan Plumbing Today. If I could give them a zero I would. We used them in the past and are being billed for work in 2018 done in 2016. We have proof we paid and are now, after two years, receiving a final notice we didn't pay. They can't do plumbing and keep their bookkeeping straight. My guess is they are totally disorganized and feel as though they are trying to see if we will pay again and make some extra money. The first call I received asked if I would like to put the payment of over $2000 on my credit card. I have proof I paid in 2016 and have emailed to them. Problem finally resolved. Do not recommend. After two years and they send us a final notice when we paid is ridiculous. Think of the people that received a notice of nonpayment and the work they would have to go through to track down payment, especially, if they switched credit cards. Very sloppy bookkeeping and poor customer service!

$750.00 to replace a toilet!!! Are you kidding me? Oh but for $400. they will install it if I supply the toilet. The guy was in my villa less than 10 minutes and immediately decided I need a new toilet. Didn't even snake the line. Total waste of time and money. I will go back to using Friends Plumbing. UPDATE: Used Friends Plumbing.... $425.00 they snaked and cleared the line, used a camera to make sure the line was clear... and installed a new toilet at a fraction of the cost of Ray Duncan plumbing today.

Plumbing TODAY has been out twice. Each of the plumbers was fantastic to work with, and articulated the problem so we could understand how to maintain and avoid future problems with our drain lines. I highly recommend this company, great value and great service.

I’m not happy with this service. I have called them out many times for multiple issues. The guys seem nice but lack flow-through.
I had two leaks in a drain line and identified where they were when the guy came out and fixed one of them I told him about the second one. I even told him where it was (under my home). He said “no it’s not leaking).
So fast forward 3 months and it’s been leaking this whole time. After 3 additional visits over the course of a week + all they could accomplish was to cap the line.
I called another plumber and he completed the hook up in less than an hour.
There is so much more to this but it’s just more of the same.

Totally worthless with their 24 hour service. We run a property management business and are currently dealing with a plumbing emergency at one of our properties. Called them and their after hours call service answered and took our details. After waiting for a call from the plumber for 25 minutes we called back. They said they were still trying to get in touch with the on call guy. But they were confused and thought we had an ac problem. It’s 1am....we want to go back to sleep, the tenants want to go to sleep. This is when people need effective quick service.

They did an excellent job. Will use them again. They had some obstacles but got through them and got the job done.

Came to my house, was honest telling me that I didn't need to have my propane pipes upgraded, also gave me reccomendations for other companies for the hose I need to hook up my propane to my house because I've been unable to find one on my own. I will definitely contact them for any future projects we might have.
