This is the second time I have used J & S Plumbing! Jeff was great to work with. I texted pictures of the problems prior to the visit which facilitated them having the needed parts without a return visit. Hawn and his apprentice were courteous, prompt and efficient. They resolved all of the problems. I felt the pricing was fair. I will definitely call on them again if I need plumbing services.

Will not hesitate to use this company. Cash came to our house and identified the real issue behind our leaky faucet: poor installation of a new sink. Was very quick, and not only temporarily sealed our sink, but recommended other products and ideas if the issue was to re-occur.

I was referred to J&S by a friend who had used the company last year. He was so impressed that when i mentioned that my rental property needed a new water heater, he said don't use anyone but J&S. I called and left a message and was called back almost immediately. Not only was the price better than the three other plumbers I had called, but J&S got the job done the same day. In addition to the price and prompt service, J&S was the only one of the plumbers who advised me of the gas company rebate program. I will always call J&S for all my future plumbing needs.

These guys were so awesome. They picked up the phone immediately and had me scheduled same day with zero issues. I needed faucets connecting my mothers washer replaced and Irvin showed up and was super professional and very fast. He went above and beyond to do a good job and provide her with a long lasting good repair. I can't say enough good things about these guys such a great job done.

Our leak went from one pipe to three once the foundation was opened up. They could have easily ripped us off by inflating the quoted price once everything was exposed. They didn’t do that. Instead, they called to let us know what they found, explained the additional work needed, and gave us a range of what the additional fee would be. We agreed on the work to be done and the price before they continued working.

We’re very happy with this company. We would use them again and recommend to others.

Old water heater developed a severe leak (less than seven years old but older than the six year warranty). Knew it was a goner.
Did not want previous plumbing outfit to replace since they installed junk. J&S had good reviews and found out they installed Rheem water heaters which are rated pretty good. Install price was higher than I wanted but, based on local research, was close to the going price for the area. There were no hidden or extra charges.
Office person (Steve) was excellent. Fielded all my upgront questions without any BS and called back after the install to see if I was satisfied. Positive experience.
Hawn, the plumber/tech, actually arrived a bit early (was OK with me), answered all my questions, installed the water heater, walked me through the pilot relighting steps (gas water heater) as well as the draining procedure. Personable. Positive experience.

Water leak sucked and came at wrong time of year for me, luckily they came out fast and were. Wet reasonably on price. Managers are awesome and hands on which shows they care!

Cash was the plumber who came to the house and he was amazing! He was so thorough and not only did what I needed but made sure everything that was there was fixed. Their techs came on site to unclog a main drain. The drain was clogged with paper towels. Their techs worked very hard for 8 hours to unclog the drain. Most plunder would have gave up after a few hours. These guys got the drain unclogged and cleaned up after themselves. They make the whole plumbing industry look good. I will be only using them for now on.

This service company is by far the most reliable, beyond punctual and consistent one I have ever dealt with in Tampa Bay. One of my BEST plumbing/sprinkler repair experiences in memory. Company responded within THREE minutes of my Home Advisor post with a phone call for a free estimate. Due to an unexpected morning job cancellation, they had crew onsite within THIRTY minutes, gave competitive quotes with new customer discounts and finished major and minor repairs within hours. Kenny and his assistant walked me through my entire property to highlight the work, review warranties and reassure me that I could call with any questions. Owner spoke with me by phone directly to welcome me as a new customer. Upon job completion, Jessica the office manager called with a final quote, I paid with credit card over the phone, received emailed invoice shortly, DONE and DONE. All this after two other companies kept either breaking appointments or telling me we'll stop by when we're in the area.

I’ve used J&S plumbing repeatedly and have has excellent experiences with them. They were referred to me by other satisfied users. J&S is an honest and trustworthy plumbing company.

Just this month they came out twice to my home (for two different issues). Cash (yes, that’s his name) came both times (I actually requested Cash the second time because he did such great work).

J&S installed my new hot water heater (Cash installed it). He made sure it was installed properly, and also alerted me about an electrical safety problem that I then had repaired. They had to come out twice, but they only charged me what they said they would charge. Appreciate that!

The next problem I had was the plumbing to my washer/dryer. I expected a major repair. J&S came out (Cash again at my request) and he diagnosed the problem and fixed it without ripping up the wall. Saved me hundreds!

Also, I really needed their help quickly and they juggled things and came out the next day.

So my experience has been a good one. I have found J&S to be honest and trustworthy. They absolutely do not gouge, and seem like they want to build a strong reputation and build their business. Reasonably priced and responsive.

This is the first review I’ve ever written, take my word for it..do not consider another company, if you want it done correctly call J&S PLUMBING.

After moving into a rental, we noticed that out shower & sink fixtures were becoming clogged with sediment every few days. This caused us to lose substantial water pressure over the course of a few days until we’d clean the fixture out and start over. This was also causing issues with our water temperature fluctuating while the hot water was running. J&S worked with our property manager on our behalf and arrived at a solution they believed would resolve our issue. After a full flush of our tankless water heater & the whole home, we are finally enjoying our hot showers again at full water pressure. Previously I had to clean the fixtures every 3-4 days to maintain water pressure, but I haven’t had to touch anything in the weeks since J&S provided service. The gentleman that was sent out was professional, friendly, efficient & I had full confidence in his ability to resolve our problem.

We recently moved into our house and shortly after living there we started experiencing plumbing issues. Most notably our drain wasn't working properly, and we had a pretty bad backup. I contacted J & S Plumbing and they were out the next day to clear the sewage line and assess the cause of the issue. Turns out my 70 year old sewage pipe made of Orangeburg was crushed and dented throughout and needed to be replaced. Jeff Hathorn and his crew were all great guys and did a excellent job coming up with a plan to do a separate run on the other side of the house to avoid a large tree, totalling 135 feet of new pipe. They were very efficient, breaking ground on Monday and having the entire project inspected and backfilled by Wednesday. They even left the old pipe hooked up so that we were only not able to use the plumbing in the house for a couple hours. Overall, I would highly recommend J&S Plumbing, they did a great job from start to finish and were proficient and efficient at completing the work. Thanks guys!!

The son of the company driver cut me off in traffic, when I met him at the red light, he laughed and stated he didn't care because it’s his dad’s company. These guys are awesome! They arrived exactly when they said, and finished the installation of a new on-demand, tankless water heater before lunch. Before they started, they made a video to document the amount of time it was taking to get hot water to our furthest sink, and at what temperature. Then they made another video, showing the same information after the new unit was installed. They also provided the information I need in order to apply for a energy credit/refund from the city of St. Petersburg. Very professional.

James and Jaiden were polite, professional, and expert at capping the water to an extra bathroom that had a significant slab/shower leak. They responded promptly to capping the pipes and explained the process and answered all of out questions. They presented a plan and reasonable estimate for any future repair to leaking pipe.

Cash installed a new garbage disposal since ours was broken. He also helped us get our Shower pressure running more effectively. They needed to move my current plumbing down one inch for wall mounted faucet. Charged me for 31/2 hrs work then didn’t center it in the sink so I had to have work redone. I let them know it was wrong and needed fixed and I never heard from them again. They wanted paid immediately and after that were gone. Buyer beware no customer service and no warranty of work. I absolutely would not recommend this company for any work.

Called J&S Plumbing to replace my water heater that began leaking. Had to turn all the water off since the water heater shutoff did not work properly, thus this was an emergency. J&S came out early the next day and installed a new unit in less than half the day. I also mistakenly told them it was a 50-gallon unit when it was actually 40 gallons, and they handled the discrepancy. Workers were professional and even protected the carpet under the attic ladder. Will call J&S again for my next plumbing issue/project

Efficient and affordable. Jeff responded to my request right away, even though it was after normal business hours. Pricing was the most affordable among several estimates I recieved to replace traditional residential water heater. He also did not charge a fee for the estimate like some other plumbing businesses do. The plumber who did the install was very professional and curteous. He proficiently completed the job, cleaned everything up, and educated us about the various parts of the water heater and how to maintain. Thanks for the great service!

J&S Pluming Professional Plumber Irvin clean, replenished and regenerated the Master Bath Sink. This is a problem that two other Plumbing companies could not do and wanted $5800 to repipe the Home. We had an outdoor pipe burst at 8:00pm on a Friday night. We contacted J&S at 9:00 this morning for an ongoing issue with a water heater in our commercial space. They quoted us, sent someone out, and resolved the issue by 2:00 pm the same day. Cash did a great job communicating and we are very thankful to be leak free!

Had an issue with a clogged by, previous plumber as it turns out put very little effort into it, after the guys came out and put a camera down, and cleaned out one of my pipes, didn't charge me for anything beyond the camera work. Thanks guys!

I contacted Home Advisor because I had a problem with my Plumbing. Well I got a text from Jessica and she told me they could have someone out in the morning. I was very happy. The next morning however, I was informed that they did not take payment through Home Advisor, and I had already paid Home Advisor. As we had no working toilets in the home, I agreed to let them come out after Steve called me on the phone like a car salesman trying to get my business. They sent out two guys to snake the drains, and had to go on the roof to gain access to the stacks. They had no ladders, and I gave them one of mine to use. When they were done, they told me that it was running slow but in 24 hours that should be fine and they left. Not two hours later the toilets were clogged and I called Steve, and he said he would have them come back out which they did. This time they pulled my toilet up, and I was charged again. Not only did they not have caulking to put around the darn toilet, they bent the bolt on the side when they were reseating the toilet, and the toilet was not properly set, it was rocking. I let Steve know of the issue and he said he would have somebody come out and fix it. Not an hour later they clogged up again, so I let him know. He said it was my septic tank, and I disagreed as I had it pumped not too long before. He said he would have them come out yet again, and I expressed to him that I did not want to be charged again as I had already paid them $325 for something that was not fixed, and a toilet that wasn't right. I told him maybe I should call somebody else. He then began screaming at me, tell me to go ahead and call somebody else, and to go f myself. I don't know how he has stayed in business how he has been in business as long as he says he has been, but it sure isn't treating people the way he treated me. Let me add, that I also had the septic pumped add an additional $230 on top of his bill and it was not the issue.

These guys get it. They were timely, efficient, and very good at solving my leaky shower.

The appointment was booked quickly. The service technicians came out for an estimate beforehand , and I reviewed the scope of the work with them. The work involved replacing three thermistors according to specific directions I got from the manufacturer for a hybrid water heater. The manufacturer said the work was easy enough for a customer to perform, but I had reservations about opening my hot water heater and replacing anything. The work was completed efficiently the next day. In the end, I felt they did a good job repairing my hot water heater, but I thought they overcharged for the repair. They charged $550 for what was essentially about 45 to 60 minutes work with free parts from the manufacturer. Unfortunately, I don’t think I would use them again because I felt overcharged, even though they did a good job.

Thomas came out and did a great job. He was courteous, polite and friendly. He had the old tank removed, the new one installed and even replaced the pipes and valves in under 2 hours.

Cash was the service tech, he was great. He was on time, he found the problem quickly, he was very friendly, he explained what the issue was, he was aware of the water damage and let us know how to help it dry properly, He was efficient, friendly, and most important he was skilled.

2/1/19- i had work completed inside and outside my house today. I had a slow leak outside the house underneath a tree with a large amount of roots they were able to come out dig and detect where the problem was. They replaced the leaking pipe with a 3/4 inch PVC plastic pipe and the problem was solved. Han and his assistant were the ones that worked on this project. Additionally I needed some work done on my toilets that had a small leak and old equipment in them and they fixed those as well and then I had one more small leak in the faucet of my tub in the bathroom , they were able to fix that as well. Steve handles the payments and invoicing and was very professional and quick about getting everything squared away. I recommend Steve and Han for your plumbing repairs

They quoted me 650$ to replace a 40$ toilet valve which is a 30 minute job tops. Their website advertises free estimates but they still billed me for the estimate. Maybe their policy is that it’s only free if the client agrees to do the work, so that could be why. Either way, that fee should have been discussed up front upon making the appointment.
I got a second opinion and the valve replacement was performed in under 30 mins for a more reasonable fee.
I get that there is a cost of labor, parts and doing business but 650$ for a 30 minute job and a 40$ part is insanity. I would stay away from this company if you don’t want to be overcharged.

Two days before Thanksgiving, we had a pipe burst inside our kitchen block wall. I knew it would be difficult to get a plumber on such short notice before the holiday. I asked around and I was told I should call Mike Stanley with J & S Plumbing. I thought at the very least I would call him to get advice on trying to repair it temporarily myself. He sprang into action and made some calls and got a technician to my house the first thing the next day. Jeff in the office got me all set up and sent out their technician David Cash. He showed up right on time and knocked out the problem and saved Thanksgiving! Everyone was super friendly and honest and the price was definitely upfront and fair. I will 100% recommend them to anyone who ever asks me if I know any good plumbers! Thanks guys!!!

J&S was my go-to plumber up to this last instance. they remain responsive and professional but now have become exuberantly expensive and charge for even providing an estimate. I found another plumber, they came in at 1/3 of the cost estimated by J&S, they did not charge for the estimate visit and returned with purchased parts, and fixed the problems the same day. Keep in mind this was for ordinary maintenance fixes: a leaky faucet and bib, and toilet valve/flapper replacement.

Jeff and the team were extremely professional and every employee that came out during our plumbing job (there were multiple) was kind, personable and hard working. They were dedicated to getting my issue resolved so that my family and I could get back to normalcy. J&S completely repaired my cast iron pipes from the city's clean out located in my front yard all the way to my pantry which was located behind my stairwell. I would 100% recommended them to anyone having issues with cast iron or poorly functioning plumbing.

Was supposed to do a job first it was he lost technicians. and couldn’t find good help then he sent somebody here. The guy said he’d be back on Monday then they tell us that that guy is not with them anymore after going through several , and then called and said that someone else was coming then called and said he had to reschedule. Then we got another call and stated can’t the job because of having issues with a tree falling in his backyard first it was because he was having to redo his kitchen floor. Keep in mind they left wires uncovered . One excuse after another, So very unprofessional. Very disappointed with his company.! Not sure where they got a 4.9 rating score unless they give their self scores.
