During a recent summer storm we lost several outlets on two circuits in our house. We worked with MZ Electric to understand why. While figuring that out they also helped me solve a problem with my microwave and an arc fault breaker, as well as installing a ceiling fan and some drop down lights in my kitchen. Daniel was on time, prepared, neat, clean and courteous. He knew when to ask for help, and MZ promptly provided that help. The team explained everything they were doing, and why. A surprise was uncovered during installation that required additional work and cost, and Daniel completely explained what had changed, what additional equipment was required BEFORE he performed any work, so I could have pulled him off the job, but what he said made sense and I felt that MZ gave me great value for what I paid them. I highly recommend MZ Electric. Clean up was perfect after the job was done.I’m back. Daniel just completed his third job for us, and I’m still as happy with their work. I think I’ve found my electricians.
Daniel and JD were excellent electricians, super polite, and very efficient. They arrived on time and even sent a text letting us know ahead of time so we could be prepared. The price was super reasonable for the level of work they did (installed new light switch, installed fan and light, and explained every part of the process). Very impressed with company; it was our first time using them. We received several reminders of our appt and even received a picture and bio of the person coming to our home. Daniel was very professional, quick, and even wore booties being respectful of our home. They did a great job cleaning up after replacing our ceiling fan. Will definitely use them again!

This conpany definitely impressed me. Daniel and JD are an amazing team. I hired them to install a chandelier on 20ft ceilings, switch out a light fixture and install a ceiling fan. They executed at a high level and got all the jobs done very quickly. I had trouble finding a licensed company to install a chandelier that high up and these guys banged it out no problem. They are professional, they cleaned up when they left and even wore those shoe covers to protect my floor. You get text and email reminders from the company before and after the visit, they send you a full breakdown of services in the receipt and their prices were lower than any competition I got quotes from. I'm completely satisfied and will continue to use them for any future jobs.

I actually had 2 fellows who worked on the project. It turned into a bigger project than was contemplated so had 3 more fellows come in and Sean. All were very knowledgeable and could answer my questions. It took a couple of days and the second day there were just Zach , Daniel and Sean here. They worked very hard and got the job done. Trystan and Devin showed top notch analysis skills to figure out the best approach to adding two new independent and dedicated circuits for a sump pump for my basement and a couple GFI's to a couple kitchen outlets. The installation went amazingly fast, with very excellent quality workmanship, these guys are very professional. I was also impressed by the analysis of what I might need in the future to improve my 45 year old home such as a breaker box improvement. The cost of these MZ services was very fair and competitive, and I will definitely call on MZ for electrical work I plan in the next year.

I cannot thank this company enough! We had a big unexpected electrical issue come up days before I was expecting my first baby. they fixed my A/C unit load circuit issue preventing me from having to replace my HVAC and installed an attic fan switch in just a few hours. Didn’t have the switch on hand so they went out and bought a modernized one for me, installed it and now I can control it from my phone. Incredible! Found my electrician
The MZ Electric team did a great job installing a new electrical panel. They kept us informed as they progressed through the day and diligently stuck to the task until it was finished. Very pleased. I was looking for an electrician for my daughters home in CO and I am in CT.From the first call with Sam in the office, the customer service was better than any contractor I have delt with. I received email reminders and confirmations along the way.Zach and Alavaro let me know when they were on site and we discussed the job. They were able to complete it all without having to leave for parts even for the Outlet for an EV in the garage.Kudos and 5 stars. We now have an electrician we can trust.

Zach and Alvaro did an incredible job installing power for our new Furnace and A/C. They were super informative in answering all of our questions, pleasant to work with, and they made great recommendations on protecting our investment.
MZ was awesome! Needed EV charger in garage which required bringing a 50yr old service panel up to modern standards and grounding. Came for the estimate, explained everything, clear and specific paperwork. When the crew came to do the work they were polite, friendly, professional. Listening in, Supervisor Shawn sounded like a great master, trainer, and coach for a newer tech and journeyman, positive and encouraging, explaining code, process, reasons for selecting various materials or doing things a certain way, let his crew know he had full confidence in them. They found and replaced some janky amateur stuff they ran into without upcharges, explained issues, non judgemental. Price never flexed and they even looked for ways to consolidate costs. Best professional company I have worked with in a long time.

As always, MZ Electric provided superior service, and quickly diagnosed two problems, explained them to me, then remedied both. One is a temporary fix, as a part was not available, but it will be taken care of later today. I can always depend on MZ and will call on them the next time my aging home needs their attention.
Alex and Matt were very professional and timely in their work. Additionally they explained each step and cleaned up afterwards. Alexis was also helpful and friendly with the appointment logistics. Will definitely call on MZ Electric again!
Our garage suddenly stopped working - the garage door button and all of the light switches didn't work. We tried resetting the circuit breaker but to no avail. Alex from MZ arrived on time, assessed the electrical situation in our garage, and fixed the problem in short order. He was very clear in explaining what he found and how he fixed the problem, averting a serious fire hazard. MZ provided timely text and email notifications to let us know that the technician was on his way. Love working with this company, highly recommend them for all your electrical needs.

This is the third time we’ve used MZ Electric. Jesse installed an EV capable plug in our garage. The job wasn’t straightforward due to the layout if our house; however, Jesse and Jose did a great job running the line into the garage. They even fixed the hole they made in our ceiling.

From start to finish, we are so impressed with MZ electric, Alex, and Tristan. They handled all of the quirks of our old home with very fair pricing and finished all of the work on the same day as our initial consultation. They replaced lighting/ceiling fan mounts and hung new fans, added a surge protector to our electrical panel, and added a switch for our dining room. They were friendly, knowledgeable, prompt, and will be our go-to for future projects!

This is the second time that we have used MZ Electric and will continue to use them as our first choice for all our electrical needs. They are extremely professional and knowledgeable. Jesse was our technician and he was wonderful.
Jesse installed an electrical outlet above our fireplace so that we could wall mount of our tv. He was incredible transparent and professional. In and out within an hour! Job well done.
We had MZ install an EV charger and interconnected smoke detectors. They were able to trouble shoot several other small issues we were having and take care of everything at once. They were professional and very easy to work with. I was very impressed with their ability to fit us into their schedule within a week of the request. We have several things on our wish list like replacing our old almond colored outlets and are happy to have found a reliable company to take care of this for us in the future!
I have used MZ for the last year for various projects at my new house. From day one they always left a great impression. Today I had Alex and Johnny out to my house to install some new ceiling lighting in and they did fantastic. They talked through the whole process and what it entails and went above and beyond to get the job done the way I wanted with no drywall damage. They left the house in better shape than it was by cleaning up their mess and worked diligently through the whole process. The owner Keith is also great to work with and even came out personally to resolve an issue I had with a previous visit. He didn’t hesitate to come out and correct the issue, stayed late to make sure that everything was done properly. I highly recommend this company.

I contacted MZ Electric to install a Tesla wall charger. During phone consultation, they said charges vary and can go up to $2500. I went ahead with the Appointment and on the day of appointment their Electrician gives me a quotation of $7000 plus for a complete panel upgrade plus $800 for installing the charger.I did a research on Google and understood that he was charging an exorbitant price for a service. I contacted a local electrician immediately and got the job done for $2000.I contacted MZ Electric to give them a feedback and they said proudly that they are not cheap and their service charges are higher.I will avoid them forever.

Jesse and Trystan were great! They were extremely respectful and gave us several options to get our lighting fixture installed at different price points. They quickly relocated an existing electrical box to be more centered over our dining room table and hooked up our chandelier in a timely manner. They took the time to make sure the fixture was level and even adjusted the height for us after we looked it all over. Alex and Tristan arrived on time and immediately assessed our needs while going through the house and inspecting the safety of the outlets and smoke detectors. They worked to install new under-cabinet lights and also brighter lights downstairs for my husband's hobby area. They worked through their lunch because we told them that we had to be at a medical appointment in the afternoon. They took care to put plastic sheets over my husband's hobby area and cleaned up the 2 areas when the installation was complete. Jesse and his apprentice Jose were punctual, courteous and knowledgeable. Jesse diagnosed my issue with a faulty light switch that was tripping a circuit breaker and fixed the problem.
Great service timing (2 days after I called); showed up within the service window; and spent time to understand the issues and repair the problem; explain the billing process and provide suggestions. I’m a member and the membership is worth it! Hopefully the switch connection continues to work and I have under-railing lighting working from now on. Zach was great!
Daniel of MZ Electric explained why our hot tub GFCI circuit breaker need to be replaced, which he had in hist tuck, and that all other breakers in the panel were operating correctly.

Alex was extremely professional, helpful and a joy to work with. He installed a new fan and an entryway light as well as figured out why my yard light was not working. He meticulously put the pieces together and now those two rooms look spectacular. While he was here I had him change out all the dated silver colored light switches. Originally I was only going to do a few switches but as he kept doing them I saw how much it changed the rooms. He went above and beyond to make all this happen which made for a long day for him. He even ran to Home Depot a couple of times to buy more as I kept adding rooms on. The whole time he was very patient with me and pleasant to spend the day with. I couldn’t be happier with the job that was done yesterday. When I woke up today it brought a smile to my face to see how much nicer my place looks. I would highly recommend using MZ Electric. My electrical service panel needed replacement and I contacted MZ Electric for an inspection. Very thorough technicians who took the time to explain to me what was wrong, their recommendations and next steps. Cost was comparable to other quotes and I felt their professionalism and ability to turnaround service quickly made them stand above other contractors. I could not be happier with MZ Electric's work. They upgraded our panel, connected all of our smoke detectors to power and a new circuit, installed a wired carbon monoxide detector, and installed 5 brand new LED wafer lights. When Sean came over to give us a quote he did a full inspection and then provided detailed explanations of every task that would be done and why it had to be done. They arrived on time, got their work done, and the whole team was so courteous throughout the day. In addition to the work we contracted them to do, they went through and made sure that all of our existing electrical was up to code. When we moved into the house we had Applewood come out to cover exposed wires in the crawl space and replace our outdoor plugs with the correct protection. We have no idea what Applewood did because none of those things were taken care of, so Sean and MZ Electric straightened that all out for us at a fraction of the price Applewood charged us. After they had left, Sean couldn't remember if they completed one final step and so he drove back to our house to double check - most companies would just say oh well and only come back out to complete the job after the inspector slaps their hand. We are so happy with MZ Electric and will definitely call them again when winter comes and we cave and install a hot tub.
Alex did a great job with our EV charger. He was promoted, communicative, professional, and made sure I clearly understood the process. He even got the job done during the first visit in less than 2 hours. Highly recommend.

MZ electric is amazing! Even though we missed our originally scheduled technician they sent out manager Sean same day to make sure we were taken care of. Sean went above and beyond to make sure he had taken care of any possible problems. Wouldn’t use any other company, MZ electric is always friendly, prompt, and works with the utmost integrity.
Thus is the second time I've used MZ Electric in last six months. Both times excellent service. Sean and his helper were terrific both times. Today Sean did a complete electrical panel install. Extremely knowledgeable. I really appreciatehow Sean thoroughly explains what he is doing and why. Also, he installed a light switch with a downloaded app to control my front door light with my phone. Great idea!!! Last time Sean solved my electrical problem I had with a post lamp and upgraded my kitchen lighting fixtures that had been buzzing for a long time with a superior product and explained everything to me. Moreover, he explained in detail, and gave me an estimate, what I needed to do to replace my electric panel that is over 35 years old (which is what he came back today to install ). In addition, Sean talked to me about what I needed to support the electric car I plan to buy in a couple years and talked to me how he would run the lines to my garage for charging. Very impressed!!! I'm now a loyal customer!!!

Best electricians ever! I can't say enough good things about MZ Electric. They completed a large job at my house including installing a new panel, replacing/updating all the switches and outlets, installing ceiling fans, and installing recessed lights. I had been talking to electricians for months about replacing my electrical panel. Jesse was the best electrician I have met in the Lakewood area. He was able to replace my electrical panel, label the breakers, install new smoke/carbon monoxide detectors, and GFI plugs throughout my home at a price lower than most places charged for the electrical panel alone. I’d been looking for a reliable electrician for a while and after a Google search, MZ Electric showed up first. I hired MZ Electric to install the 220V adapter for my Electric Vehicle (EV) charger. I had a few other folks out to quote the work, but I didn't feel comfortable with the level of skill and professionalism. The MZ folks were very profession and installed the EV charger the same day. The price was reasonable. They also inspected the house and found a few other issues that needed addressed. Alex and Johnny did a great completing a complicated job. I would strongly recommend them for your home electrical work.

There was a cancellation, and I received a call asking if I could take the new appointment. Upon arrival, the techs shook my hand and put on shoe covers. Jessie and one other tech accompanied Alex. I showed them what needed to be done, and they assessed the work and gave me a reasonable rate. They started immediately; I think they only took two hours to assemble and install both fixtures. They did an outstanding job, noticed that I had a child, and gave me some pointers on outlets. They cleaned up after the job as well. I will recommend to my community.

While here, he performed a home inspection and provided insightful feedback without any of the high sales pressure you might expect. The work was GREAT, fast and very fairly priced. Sean and Britton(?) did a great job! We walked the house as I pointed out the different projects we were interested in having performed. They installed under cabinet lighting in three areas of our home, installed outside decorative lights on either side of the garage door and a porch light, installed a whole house surge protector and checked out our ceiling fans. I’ve used MZ Electric a few times over 10 years and they have always been helpful with basic things and also strange electrical setups in our old house. Recently Jesse came out and fixed a few things for new appliances and he was very helpful in educating us on electrical issues and safety in homes. He really went over and above what I would expect!

This company came highly recommended by a friend to bury our power line in the back. When I called to schedule someone to come out and give me a bid for the power line, I mentioned that I also wanted a bid for recessed lights put in. They told me it would be $85 dollars per light for the first 4 lights, then $65 per light after that. Plus $35 for a switch. I thought it was a great price and scheduled the service. The technician didn't seem to know what he was doing, he kept calling people to check in for advice. They told us there might be some minimal drywall damage we would have to repair. We ended up with TWENTY TWO holes cut in our ceiling and walls in addition to the lights and switches. We are having to pay as much or more in drywall repair than we paid to have the lights put in. All of the contractors we have had in to give us estimates on fixing the ceiling say they could have done the lights with very few holes by using longer drill accessories to drill from light hole to light hole without extra cuts. Bottom line, avoid this company! They seem cheap up front but don't seem to know what they are doing!!

The company sent two (2) of their electricians to my house together to look at an issue I had with flickering lights and charged me $480.00. The electricians spent an hour looking into the issue. They told me to replace the light bulbs in one of the fixtures with a certain type of bulb. They told me to completely replace the other fixture. I’ve completed what they told me to do and I’m still having the same issue. Very frustrating as I feel like they either didn’t know what they were doing, ripped me off or both. I would not use this company.
These guys are amazing! I used them twice in a week at two different properties. I called them in a pinch same day to remove a hot tub panel that wasn’t up to code prior to the hot tub removal in 4 hours. They had a guy out within the hour, job completed in less than an hour, safe shut off and removal was established. Because I was a member, cost was reasonable and fair for the job. Debbie in the office made it happen quick and got someone down immediately for my unexpected needs. Brenton was my tech and was super professional, quick and helpful! Highly recommend MZ ELECTRIC!

MZ Electric was wonderful to work with. They were great at explaining the process and what made the most sense as we needed an outlet for a new dishwasher arriving. They even bumped up our appointment by over a week! Great communication from Tara in their front office and very knowledgeable technician Kevin and his associate. So happy we called them to assist us and they will be the first company I call when we need assistance with any electrical needs in the future.
My landlord hired MZ to replace my panel and run a new outlet/circuit to my unit. Sean and Tristan were friendly and professional. Sean explained the work thoroughly so that I could understand what was being done. As a woman I’ve had many bad experiences with being spoken to condescendingly by technicians/mechanics/etc and I really appreciated how kind and patient he was. They were on time and finished quickly, and even managed to get me a temporary outlet so I could keep my computer and router running as I was working from home! I needed a pretty straight forward project done and MZ Electric handled it well. Jesse was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He ran into a snag he wasn't expecting in the project but was able to adapt and get us to the solution.Overall it was a very positive experience.
I called this company to request services for an interior remodel (fairly straight forward project). At first, they were friendly, until I said that we were permitting the project (which is legally required) and wanted to make sure they had worked with our city before. I was abruptly put on hold and then told that they can not work on our project. When I asked if it was due to scheduling (trying to understand the abrupt no), she stated it was a variety of factors and then hung up with no explanation. I hate to assume, but in my less then 4 minute conversation it sounds like they have issues with permitting or completing work correctly to pass inspections. Will be happy to take my business elsewhere.

First let me say that Phil and Alex were great. They were professional and did a top notch install.I was told the price of the job before they started, at that point I thought the price was too high, but had them complete the install of the Tesla EV charging unit and running 240v wire to my garage.I was contacted by Tara from MZ after the install because I wasn’t happy with the price. She did some research and spoke with the electrician and found out I was charged at the incorrect level for the job. It was an honest mistake. Tara refunded me the difference. In the end I believe I was charged a fair price for the work done.The work is guaranteed and everyone was great to work with.I would recommend MZ Electric to anyone who needs an electrician.I used MZ a second time to fix my outlets that I had tried to install a timer on. Kevin came out and let me know I couldn’t install the three way timer on this particular circuit because it contained a 4 way circuit. He got my lights working again and installed the timer on a different set of lights it would work on. He did a great job and was very fast! I would recommend MZ Electric.

The first time we called MZ was for a breaker that needed to be replaced. They came out the same day and fixed it for us. They recommended a panel upgrade based on the age of our home and we decided to go for it so we scheduled that to get done a few weeks later. They just finished the job and I had to leave a review! All of the employees I've come across have been very professional and happy to answer any questions. We never felt like we were getting talked into spending more money, plus you can't beat a financing option! They even upgraded an outdoor outlet cover for free. I will always recommend this place and will call them for any future needs.

When I called looking for an electrician, Debbie in the office was very helpful. I was in a bit of a rush, and she even called me several days later to offer me an earlier spot that opened up. Sean and Josh showed up to check on what we had going on with our old electrical panel that needed to be replaced. They talked me through the options and price points and helped me make a super informed decision and were able to start the work that same day. Amazing! While they replaced the old panel, they also replaced some of our ugly old recessed can lights with brand new canless led lights and a new led dimmer switch . They also replaced all of our smoke detectors so they were up to code. Highly recommend MZ Electric for their level of knowledge, kindness and professionalism.

I always know exactly what to expect - when they will arrive, what they will be doing, and how much it will cost. Britton wired us for an electric car charger and installed the charging receptacle. AJ was very friendly, polite and respectful of our home. He did a good job installing two new outlets for us, leaving no mess to clean up. We’re very pleased and would not hesitate to call MZ Electric should we need electric services.
Alex was professional and personable. Came to troubleshoot what we suspect were defective smoke alarms and conducted annual inspection. Because MZ installed the detectors, they stood behind their work and replaced them at no charge. Likewise, an outdoor light fixture MZ installed failed and they replaced it.
Had the pleasure of working with AJ and Sean, both were extremely friendly with great customer service skills and very professional.. They were knowledgable and explained what they were doing as they went along, they suggested we get surge protected which they were able to perform while here. We originally called them to repair two outside outlets which they did. We were so satisfied with the service that we had them repair several light fixture inside the house, we were going to schedule another appointment to have this done but they were able to perform the service on the same visit. Extremely pleased with the work they did for us. I would highly recommend them to others. We discussed other things we would like done and we will definitely be using them again.

Amazing experience for beginning to end! When Keith came to the house to work in the quote, he was incredibly helpful. After that initial meeting, we needed to add a few things to the job, he had no problem making those additions via email and was very quick to reply. On the day of installation, Sean and his team showed up right on time (even before me!) they did an amazing job- I’m still shocked how much better our home looks with all the new lighting they did for us. Cannot recommend MX Electric more, they were so great to work with!
MZ Electric's team was fast, courteous, and professional. They did a lot of electrical work for us for a fair price - I never felt like I was being upsold like I have with other companies, and they were very transparent about their charges. Sean and his partner , Eric (I think) , were amazing. They were fast, thorough, and communicated thought-out. They rewired our garage for power that now allows me to put in an EV charging station and gives us plenty of power in our garage for our extra refrigerator and sprinkler system. It was very fairly priced. They were friendly, and cleaned up everything. They even added an outdoor light to the back alley. Just so impressed with them and their work. Love MZ! Every time we’ve had them do work we’ve been so pleased with their professionalism and and stellar customer service. It’s such a blessing to have confidence in your electrician.Today, we had Kevin Ortiz come out. Our house was built in 1994 and some of the wiring is outdated. Kevin got our kitchen back to code so we have GFCI on all outlets. He’s super friendly, knowledgeable, and PHENOMENAL at talking through options and best solutions. We love MZ and have recommended them to all of our friends.
Phil and Connor were great! Phil was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. We needed an extra outlet in an unusual place and he gave me all the options. He also ran down all the services they provide but without any of the sales pressure that you might get from others. They really did a great job and I felt 100% confident in their work. Kevin and Alex were great! They arrived on time, made everything seem super simple, were professional and very helpful. They offered suggestions when I asked for the. They installed 5 fan/fixtures and a chandelier in about 3 hours. I highly recommend MZ Electric.
UPDATED: 11/21/20- MZ came out again to install security features and several outdoor outlets. They were up front about their quote, their prices were incredibly fair, they did all the work same day, and did a great job cleaning up after themselves. We were incredibly happy with their work.FIRST EXPERIENCE: That was so easy. We needed to have our kitchen hood repaired. Everything from the scheduling to the execution was seemless. We are so thankful to have found a residential electrician that we can trust and is so easy to work with. Thanks! Would recommend, and will absolutely use again.
want to thank Sean and Alex for the professional work they performed at our home.We had requested an estimate to upgrade our electrical panel and install a 220v outlet in our garage. They arrived within the timeframe that we'd agreed to. They were neat, personable, and very informative. They looked over our electrical system and told us what was up to code, what wasn't, and what was grandfathered in.They provided us with a documented estimate, and presented several options for the work they could perform. We asked them when they could get started. Right away! was the response. We chose to address the panel and the outlet, and deferred the rest of the work for another time. They got right to work, told us that our electricity would be out in 15 minutes for a specified period of time.At one point, I heard Sean call the main office and tell them that they were missing a part. The office dispatched someone right away to bring the part so that their work would be unhampered. We had a lot of questions about our electrical system, and Sean was very good at answering all the questions. When they finished up, they mapped all of the breakers on our panel to various rooms and dedicated circuits (appliances, boiler, swamp cooler) and were on their way. We are very pleased with their work and the professional service they provided.
Alex and MZ Electric handled all the electrical work for a new home air conditioning system. I was impressed with the attention to detail and professionalism Alex displayed, and of course with the resulting product. I've worked with numerous electrical companies in the past, but was never impressed enough to stick with one... until now. MZ Electric may have a new devoted customer. :)

MZ Electric are the best. Look no further. My experience with them was VIP service. It all started out with Tera who answered my call and treated me so kindly and even kept me in the loop of an earlier appointment after telling her my attic fan switch went out because I had an appointment booked with them in two days as other companies were two weeks out. We needed someone quickly because we were so hot in the house in the beginning of July. She called me back within 5 minutes after finding me a slot for me the SAME DAY, and told me a technician was on the way to my house. A big thank you Tera for keeping us in the loop and then she found us Kevin Ortiz who came out. Kevin came to our house and explained everything on what he was going to do for me and then showed me how he was repairing it. Kevin Ortiz is very professional, knowledgable and personable. I felt like I was given a tutorial class on how well he explained everything to me. Kevin did a stellar job and is a great person to be around with. I would highly recommend MZ Electric! The owners are amazing people who are great to work with; the staff are well-trained experts who are friendly and courteous, and provide good guidance on design issues. They did all the electrical and wiring for a basement addition, as well as outdoor lighting, and installing upgraded cabling for our TVs. Seeing the team work was like watching a well-oiled machine in action. It was a pleasure to have them in our house and we will definitely be using MZ Electric again for any and all our electrical needs.
MZ was great, I would totally recommend them. They were patient answering all my questions. They replaced my 40yr old electrical panel along with adding a new conduit for a new hot tub. I received bids from 4 different businesses to perform this work, MZ was right in the middle for price but their attention to detail and professionalism made them the best choice by far. My county inspector was impressed with the work and accepted the work immediately. Some of the other businesses tried to cut corners by telling me I didn't need a grounding wire tied to my main water line, however MZ knew the code requirements and as I mentioned earlier the county inspector was impressed with the work.

Alex and Blake put in some new light fixtures for us both in our basement and outside. They were on time, very professional, and cleaned up after themselves. They also took care of a potential hornets nest on one of the fixtures we had removed. Would highly recommend using them for electrical needs.
MZ was recommended to us by a friend who had his Tesla charger installed by them. And as he experienced, Sean and Avery showed up right on time. They were exceedingly professional, courteous, friendly and explained everything in a way that made sense to me, a layman. They were super efficient and got our Tesla charger installed; they also did a full home electrical system inspection and fixed (free of charge) a minor issue with a bathroom light that had been a major headache for us for a year. We will be using MZ as our electrical service for future light installation projects going forward, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. They rocked.

MZ Electric was at my house two full days getting all my aluminum wiring updated to copper at the switches and outlet, as well as a new breaker box. Everyone was very courteous and took good care of the house and my elderly dog that liked to follow them around. Would use them again for every electrical needs. Britton was really great.
I needed an upgraded service panel to handle some kitchen remodeling. I got several bids and MZ Eltectric was competitive. Sean came out with Phil and they did a great job. The work was done in a little over six hours, and was done very professionally. They did a great job of answering my questions and explaining what they were doing. Both the guys were very profession. I'll be using these guys in the future.

MZ Electric was really great to work with! We had them install a new plug for our electric vehicle and when they came out to do the quote they informed us that we needed a new panel as well, this was expected due to our panel being over 50 years old. They pulled the permit and installed everything we needed while staying professional and kind. All work was approved by the city and we are very happy with the work. The best part is that the final total matched the given quote, no surprises!
Nick and Trystan were fantastic to work with. They not only exceeded expectations with the quality of their work, but they also took the time to answer all my question and really help me understand what all they were doing. Sean from MZ Electric recently ran some network cable to a hard to reach/access area of our house. MZ Electric were great at getting me scheduled quickly at a convenient time - and Sean arrived right on time. The estimate was a two hour job, but Sean finished in just one hour and did an excellent job. It is now several weeks later, and the cable has been working perfectly since the day Sean installed it. We've used MZ Electric for several jobs over the years and can't recommend them highly enough! They are punctual, courteous, and do high quality work.

The staff at MZ Electric is amazing! The owner, Keith, is so easy to get along with and every technician that's worked on our home remodel over the past year has been exceptional. They have installed everything from a new sub panel to recessed lights, undercabinet lights, new outlets, deck lights, ceiling fans, and more. They are ALL very personable, but more importantly, every technician is so incredibly knowledgeable. Randy Kleist from MZ Electric came to my home to repair a few items that the buyer of our home had requested be fixed at our home inspection. He completed the work quickly, all of the outlets looked and worked perfectly, and he made sure to clean up all of the construction debris. He was extremely cordial and professional, and I felt the pricing was very fair. I will call MZ Electric again without hesitation, and request Randy, if we need work done at our next home.

TL;DR : MZ Electric and Phil Hayes are excellent and I highly recommend them.I contacted MZ Electric through their website about installing an EV charger in my garage. Everything about working with them was exemplary, from scheduling through project completion. I received a same-day response to the initial inquiry from Tara, had the appointment on the books for about a week later, and to top it off, a courtesy call to offer me an earlier time slot when it became available four days ahead of schedule!Phil Hayes is a superb installer. Highly knowledgeable, professional, and an adaptive and creative problem solver. He was punctual and got to work immediately. Within about 20 minutes, he had a plan in place for the EV charger, clear answers to my questions about a GFCI circuit elsewhere in the house, and offered reasonable solutions to a few minor code items found during his initial walkthrough. After that, he had everything done in about 3-4 hours - exactly as estimated. I have a bunch of other little electrical projects planned and will definitely be making MZ Electric and Phil Hayes my first call for them.

Sean, Nick and Moses did an outstanding job of upgrading several of the electric components in my house earlier this week including the Main electric Panel. They are prompt and very dependable. I would recommend them for any of your electrical needs.Excellent! Randy and Kevin removed and replaced two old florescent light fixtures and installed new L.E.D. fixtures in their place. They had to remove several translucent ceiling panels to get to the lights. While they were installing the new fixtures, I was able to clean up the panels which were dusty and stained from past leaking pipes. One was stained with a gummy substance that had leaked from the ballast of one of the old florescent fixtures. Randy was able to remove that goop with his magic eraser. Then they reinstalled the panels leaving the room bright and sparkling. They most likely prevented a fire since the remaining fixture was extremely hot. So, thanks to Randy and Kevin and MZ Electric for making Christmas 2020 safe and bright.
MZ Electric installed our Tesla wall connector at about half the price of the other estimates we received, and Kevin was great -- friendly, professional, and dedicated. He waited on hold with Tesla support for a very long time to resolve a configuration issue. Highly recommended!

I have a lot of work done in my newly constructed kitchen, office, entrance, family room, and the deck. Sean was the main person who really took care of everything. After the job was done, I noticed I needed some more lighting, today Sean O'Dell came back and added to LED canned lights, and he added under the cabinets lighting to the cabinet that was not here when he did the job this winter. Phil was absolutely amazing. After sour experiences with two previous electricians, I was more than hesitant to try again. Phil was honest, showed me direct numbers and what they meant, and brought me into the conversation every time something important needed to be pointed out during his repairs. His apprentice, Alex, was amazing as well! Alex even showed me a light switch that was shattered internally. They clearly took pride in their work and the broken outlets are fixed and fire hazards are gone. There was even a set of tripping outlets in the garage that other people could not solve - they solved it! I cannot give a high enough recommendation. Request Phil and Alex. Kevin Ortiz and Phil Hayes did a great job with the recent electrical work at my house. I quoted 4 companies and their quote process was the most straight forward, their understanding of the requests were spot on, and their pricing was in the mix of the better priced contractors. Scope included installing a sub-panel. running two new 240V circuits through my basement ceiling from the back of the house to the garage, installed two fans and light switches in existing rooms, adding outlets in backyard/outside entryway/and in garage. No change orders required. Work took little longer than quoted but Kevin was very professional about explaining the why and working around my schedule. Would definitely recommend quoting and would use again.

We have tried many other electricians and no one got the job done until MZ El;ectric. The guys were on time, professional and explained everything they were doing. I had given up on getting my large chandelier installed and they got the job done perfectly. Wanted some specific outside lighting needs and they handled the same day. I met the owner Keith about 10 years ago and since then, MZ Electric has done all electrical work on my personal home and 4 rental units in the Denver metro area. MZ Electric, and specifically Kevin, whom I've worked with for about 8 years, have been exceptional. Great experience from start to finish. Needed Tesla charging receptacle. They asked for pictures of home to give estimate but Keith came out in person. He was great-very personable and professional. Got me an estimate in 2 days that was $1500 less than the other company I contacted-their estimate was based solely on pix I sent. Keith and Tyler came right on time. Fast,hard workers. MZ Electric installed new lighting in our living room, hallway and entryway, including a light to highlight our art. They are so great to work with and did a phenomenal job. Any little issues that came up, which are mainly to do with our older home, they came right away to make sure everything was OK. I would highly recommend them! We are planning to have them back to add some more updated and beautiful lighting when we remodel our downstairs in the near future, and hope to add some new lighting to our bedrooms too. When Keith came out when we were first getting estimates, he has great ideas and is very helpful... unlike some others who we got initial estimates from. Great service! I called one day after waiting for 2 weeks for another electrician that never showed up day after day. MZ sent a team the very next day at 7am and they did the job in 2 hours for less than the other no-show was going to charge. They called me before they arrived to let me know ETA...AND arrived on time. They were extremely polite, courteous, and best of all experts and licensed. Cleaned up and did fantastic job all around! I am so so grateful to Keith and Tara and their team, Kevin and Alex! Tara was so kind and listened to my issues over the phone and worked with me to find a solution. Keith came out at the last minute to help me with my hot tub, which was tripping the breaker when the jets came on. He swapped out the breaker, so we could determine if it was an electrical problem, which it wasn’t. He then helped me to set up the hot tub settings, so the jets would not come on, until my hot tub could be repaired. He definitely went above and beyond to help a lady in distress!!! He came right away and even had to endure a snow storm! His team came back when the hot tub was repaired and did an outstanding job of replacing the breaker, but also did a 12 point electrical inspection. They then explained very clearly what needed to be repaired and gave me multiple options for the repairs. They were not pushy, but so respectful and kind...They all go above and beyond to do the job right! As long as I live in Colorado, they will be stuck with me as a customer!
The electricians and office staff from MZ Electric were great- I highly recommend them. They were hired to install a new breaker panel and w/d outlets, and did so with minimal drywall repair, and no mess. They covered the carpets and vacuumed all before they left. We had a few outlets and a light not working. I placed the call and they where very responsive, on the call she explained the service fee 79$ I agreed. We scheduled us for an appointment on Wednesday and called Tuesday with an opening which was great. The technician showed up and stated he would need to do a diagnosis which was another 353$ on top of the 79$. This price was never spoke of, if the 79 is to get them there and they need to diagnose every appointment why not combine the fees? Essential the 79 fee is to lure you in and get you to proceed with the work. 432$ for them to tell you what’s wrong then add on your repairs. They are not up front on cost. Hard to find honest companies anymore.
The entire experience with MZ Electric was positive, quality, and professional. Keith was professional, polite, and very clear on what was happening with our electric project. The staff that performed the work were all very professional and focused on the job. When we had work scheduled they were always on time and fully prepared. Plus, their estimate was just a touch lower then the 2 others. We will hire MZ Electric for any work.

We had a number of electrical issues that needed to be changed not the least of which was to light some artwork above a fireplace. The electricians arrived on time and were both professional and clearly very knowledgeable and skilled electricians. After careful assessment of the situation they were able to solve a complicated electrical issue. Even prior to the appointment, the receptionist was helpful in providing links to some lighting fixtures that would solve our problem. Without hesitation I would highly recommend MZ Electric.

Sean is very detail oriented, when installing all our new light fixtures, he measures everything and makes sure it’s perfect. Sean doesn’t waste time getting to work. UPDATE 10/22/18: We have used these guys in the past so when we decided to finish our basement and got to the electrical part, we knew these guys were the guys for the job.Everyone from the woman working in the office to the electricians is so friendly. They show up on time and complete the work quickly, which is obviously appreciated when you are paying hourly. I could not recommend them enough! They have our business for life!I booked the 7-9am appointment and Kevin showed up right on time at 7:15am! He quickly diagnosed our problem and knew exactly how to fix it. He also rewired a couple of things to make sure the problem didn't happen again. He could not have been nicer or more professional. We will definitely be using MZ Electric for any future electrical needs! Highly recommend!
Phil was my electrician that MZ sent out. I needed a couple of fan boxes installed in ceilings where no overhead lighting was currently available. This included the installation of switches, wall boxes, and ceiling boxes along with converting switched outlets to be always hot.I’m normally able to do work like this on my own but the attic space in our new home was somewhat sealed off above the room we needed access to so I felt more comfortable hiring a professional. This easily costs 9x the amount it would for a DIY project, but I’m more than happy to pay that money for a job well done and peace of mind. Add on top of that I got a free premium USB receptacle installed as well as getting a huge discount on a surge protector added into our panel and this was a decent deal for not having to “get my hands dirty”.I would highly recommend MZ as well as their electrician Phil Hayes. I will most likely call them again if I’m unable to do the next project.

I was very impressed by the MZ team's professionalism and expertise. They found a way to run a new circuit to my swamp cooler despite difficult conditions for running the wire. They communicated all the options, including pros and cons, and we arrived at a solution I was happy with. Their teamwork was also excellent. Keith's estimate for the electrical work on a home we recently purchased was very reasonable and his team did an amazing job. They gave us some great ideas on fixture placement (for example, recessed lights, pendant lights, outlets in a kitchen, floor outlets, and more). My OCD is fairly substantial, and I'm so happy with how the electricians lined up and centered all of my recessed lights and pendant lights. Had a bunch of work to do including track lighting design and installation in my vaulted ceilings along with about a dozen recessed cans and 2 ceiling fans.THEN had high wattage lights put in the basement for my home business.THEN had them install a 220 outlet for the dryer.THEN had them install about a dozen dimmer switches around the house.They are definitely reliable, knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and reasonably priced.I've been using them for about 4 years now and I would highly recommend MZ Electric for any electrical projects.
Excellent job installing my Telsa wall charger and were able to get it done quickly. MZ Electric originally installed my charger 3 years ago and when I bought my new place Phil and AJ were able to uninstall the unit and install it at my new place. The install was great, the removal left no trace that the charger was there, and they were happy to quote me on some additional work that they were able to complete today as well.

When I moved to Colorado in 2017, I needed a serious lighting upgrade. I have always believed in supporting local businesses and found MZ Electric in my Ken-Caryl neighborhood. Sean and Filipp came in and brightened my townhouse.... lucky for me, they believe in taking care of their neighbors. I had MZ install a new sub-panel in my garage and am very pleased and impressed with the quality of the work. They had to run a line from one corner of the house all the way to the other, through the crawlspaces and down into the garage. I expected substantial drywall damage but they only had to create a few access holes in one room. Easy enough to fix and in the end, they got the power where it needed to go. They guys who did the work were friendly and knowledgable and I'll be hiring them again for any future work that needs to be done.

Keith was easy to work with. He gave us a reasonable bid and a good time frame for work. Kevin and a helper did the work and were on time and hard working. Everyone we dealt with was respectful and willing to work with whatever issues we had. I would use them again.

Very professional and friendly. I had a couple of other electricians come and give me a quote and an idea on how to run an electric line for a hot tub.. they were the only ones that came back with a reasonable idea of how to do it without tearing up ceilings or running lines around the house. (My panel and where the hot tub was going to be were on completely different sides of the house.. and my basement had a finished ceiling) Thank you for your tidy work and creative problem solving!!!!!!

We needed a new electrical box in our new house. Not only did we spend about half of what we originally budgeted for this, but the labor was quick and everyone was so nice. There was a slight issue on their side and we had to reschedule, but this was handled well.Also, side note - the electrician we had has awesome handwriting so reading the electrical box isn't a puzzle like it has been in most places I have lived. Hooray for that!

Best Service and Quality at affordable pricesWe needed to get some wiring into a winery warehouse space that was partially dry walled but mostly unfinished. It was a relatively small job and on a tight budget. MZ was able to not just spec and price the bid at a reasonable rate, but also helped with identifying better lighting layouts, more cost effective fixtures, and over all better outlet placement that met the county's requirements and helped us save money. I had a large project after my basement had a backup that included updating aluminum wiring, adding fixtures and troubleshooting several items. I was/am thrilled at the work performed in my home. I have nothing but good things to say about Keith and his team. We had them replace our old Zinsco panel and add some GFI outlets in the house. They offer a quality service at a good price and act with the utmost professionalism. The work was done a lot more quickly than I expected and I couldn't be happier. I'll be using Keith & MZ Electric for any future electrical projects.
Waited a while to post this but this company really came through with a fair price on a panel upgrade and junction re-wire that some other bids wanted to run me around on. They were quick with the work and let me observe, explaining the work being done. Even helped with an added outlet for a garbage disposal on the fly.

We have had MZ Electric to our house two times for various projects including the install of several new ceiling lights, ceiling fans and a new outlet on a solid brick fireplace for a mantel mounted TV. This was not an easy thing to accomplish but they did an excellent job. After the job was complete there was a small change that I asked for due to my poor instructions and they were very cool about it and took care of it. They also installed some new outdoor lighting - done perfectly.This is a family owned Littleton Electrician that services the whole Denver metro area. I can tell that they are building for the long haul and taking good care of people along the way.Pricing was very fair too and none of the upsell stuff you hear about with some commission incentivized contractors. I recommend this company to family and friends.

The electricians were very good and knowledgeable. However, I was not informed they started charging when they left their office rather than when they arrived at my house to start the job. When the bill came I got them to take the half hour they weren't there off the bill and paid. About 10 minutes later they came back and told me that is not how things are normally done and they informed me about their billing practices after the fact. I thought it was rude to come back when a phone call or email would have sufficed. During the intake process of a new customer they should have told me how they bill, and I didn't hear about it once in the 3 times I talked to someone on the phone before an appointment.

Sean upgraded our main electrical panel to 200 amp, installed a surge protector for the house (other companies didn't even offer this), and did some grounding. The crew is timely, polite and they do quality work at a fair price. I will call them again.
Have exclusively used MZ multiple times on 2 different homes, during past 3/4 years. I typically will have to have my wife and kids in the home during MZ visits. I always go back to MZ due to trustworthiness of electricians and office person. High level of professionalism and helpful/proactive communication. These are all attributes frequently not available in today's Denver area extremely tight home contractors environment.

Our refrigerator stopped. The outside circuit breaker did not work. Tara gave me some good advice, and sent out Sean the same day, who identified the obscure problem and fixed it within an hour. Whew! No loss of food and no more strobing lights and other intermittent electrical problems..

Trystan got to the bottom of what initially seemed like s simple problem. Took a bit longer than we expected, but finally got the problem solved.
Phil Hayes was great. It was hard to figure out what was causing my electrical problems, but he did it. VERY GOOD KNOWLEDGE!!

Fast and friendly. Great work, just expect to have to clean up after them. Also don't be surprised if some of your personal property is damaged. They are very fast just sloppy.
