Master Rooter Plumbing

This is not a review of their service - because there was no service. Made an appointment with Master Rooter. Took a half day off of work to honor the appointment. They never showed up.

Scheduled for them to come out to clean my kitchen drain for a way over priced 200 dollars then they never showed up. Very bad company i do not recomend.

No good want to double charge us...3 times for same job... Lol.. Horrible

Don't do any business with this company. Worse ever.

To everyone who will be reading this review keep in mind it is 100% your choice if you wish to use this company. Although i cant tell you not to use this company but i can share many of past jobs that master rooter has done for many different apartment properties all throughout the denver metro areas in the past thats right every single property which has used these scam artists has completely cut ties with them once we noticed a patteren starting to form. So every time a property would call master rooter out to snake a drain to clear a clog out it would always end up by the plumber saying oh the main drain has collapsed and we will have to excavate to perform the repair or the drain line has a belly in it and we need to excavate to perform the repair. Well fool us once, fool us twice, fool us not so fast not three times lets call another company where the plumbers are actual master plumbers and would camera the drain find no collapsed areas and no bellies either they would unclog the drain and have no problems after that saved thousands of dollars. Remember this is what master rooter was doing for many of apartment properties and will do and say to you if you decide to use them be cautious. for a more honest, trustworthy, and knowledgeable plumbing experience that your looking for seeing your sitting there reading reviews try one of the following companys instead they are listed in no particular order at all they are all great and wiil save you tons of money in the long run trust me.

Kevin from Master Rooter was the bright spot in a pretty crappy day for me. I live in an apartment complex, and my water heater had some sort of malfunction that caused it to spew like a fire hydrant. Once it got shut off (after way too long... the complex's fault, not Master Rooter's), Kevin came in early on a Sunday morning and had us hooked up to a brand new water heater before 1:00 pm. He was friendly, quick, and professional, and, best of all, we were only without hot water for a couple of hours. Thanks, Kevin and Master Rooter!!

They always provide awesome service

This was my second time using Master Rooter. This time it was a water heater replacement. My tech was once again Frank, and once again he was awesome. He described all of my options in un-biased detail and didn't ever pressure me. He conducted himself with a professional attitude; always polite, never swore, always wore his booties to protect my floor, and cleaned up everything before he left. His pipe work on gas and water lines is very clean and very well done. He takes his time to do the job right and it is really shows. Thank you, Frank. On top of that, Master Rooters pricing is very competative, one of the lowest cost water heater replacements (for what I was looking for) I could find in Denver. I will be using Master Rooter Plumbing again.

Had video inspection of sewer line performed. Frank was professional, explained video and answered all questions. Very reasonably priced. Will definitely use again.

Plumber was extremely professional. Replaced garbage disposal and cleaned underneath sink. Some scheduling issues/mishaps but the plumber was excellent and apologized for the scheduling issues.

Very unprofessional sewer line replacement.

Contacting them after the job was complete they refused to repair the automatic sprinkler lines that they hacked into pieces, and refused to replace the grass that they dug through.

During the job they even took the huge concrete chunks from the sidewalk they tore out and tried to burry them into the trench they made, leaving the front of my house with a 40 ft long strip of dirt scattered with big concrete chunks, and cut sprinkler lines sticking out. There were also pieces of the old sewer pipe left behind after the job.

A complete hack job that they rushed through to finish in less than a day.

Thank you so much for replacing my water heater. Joel was fast and made sure everything was cleaned up when he was finished.

I've had two experiences with Master Rooter- both very positive.
For the first, Aaron came out to give me an estimate on a large re-plumbing project. He was very professional, offered expert advice on how to fix my problem, and even did a small repair for no charge while he was here. The price he gave me came in below what I'm seeing from the competition.

So, when my sewer backed up in the basement, we immediately called Master Rooter and Frank was able to get to our house in about 45 minutes. He was quick to correct the problem, and offered us advice for how to avoid it in the future. He was so helpful and friendly. Best of all, the Saturday visit didn't cost us any extra!

I'll definitely call these guys again.

The service guys who showed up were great, but the issue with waiting for 2 hours for an additional service guy to show up during an emergency and he didn't was unacceptable.

Great service! I am a maintenance manager and they responded in a timely fashion for a leaked drain and located then fixed the issue in an occupied appartment. Over the hundreds of calls I've made I've had like 5 bad experiences.

WORST experience ever!! They came out to do a simple drain cleaning and ended up flooding my basement. Then the technician offered to fix it on a side deal cash only. This was incredibly SHADY and I had to take them to court which cost me several thousand dollars. BEWARE as this was the worst experience of my life!!!

***** DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY ****** The City of Englewood requires backflow testing and certification. Master Rooter is a preferred provider for the City of Englewood. Their technician came to our site, did not test, pulled off the tags from the site, announced we needed a rebuild, indicated he would send in a passing test to the city but that we need to schedule a rebuild. The certification tests were NOT sent in to the city. After several follow-ups where we were told they would send in the test results, we began to follow-up with the city. When we told the city what happened, they indicated they would not accept the passing test from Master Rooter if we needed a rebuild.

We contracted with another preferred provider and they came and actually tested our site. Our site passed and DOES NOT NEED A REBUILD. They have already sent the certification results to the City of Englewood (same day) and we will not have our water shut off.

I called Master Rooter and requested a refund since they didn't perform the test and indicated we needed a rebuild when we did not. They have refused, stating that the work we requested was performed and in their technician's opinion, the work was required. They indicated we hadn't paid yet when I have a copy of the the cashed check and then said they were behind in their bookkeeping due to COVID. ******THIS IS NOT AN ETHICAL COMPANY

Master Rooter schedulers Felicity and Sharmane were very responsive and provided a sewer technician who came to the home on Sunday for a clean out and scope as part of the inspection for a real estate transaction. The technician who came, Frank, was excellent in his ability to provide a clear line with the mini jetter technology to clear the build up from the washing machine. He was professional and cleanliness was evident as he took pride in clearing the line to acceptable standards so it is functioning properly. He was immediately able to provide a USB for the video of the post cleaning/ clear sewer line. I will recommend them to all of my clients who need their sewer lines cleaned and cleared!

They were very quick in fact they were so quick that When I left and came back they were all done. Unfortunately my pipes weren't. Cost me 200.00 big ones for nothing. So save yourself some grief and call rotorooter

WOW! If you need have an emergency plumbing need, this is the place to call. They were our 3rd call and the only company who was able to come within an hour of getting in contact with them. The answering service/agent quickly sent our message to the appropriate plumber. Jorge B. called us within 10 minutes to tell us he'd be to us within a half an hour. He was even a little earlier.
Our kitchen garbage disposal/sink was backed up. The main line which is connected to the laundry room was clogged so the water was also coming out of the drain behind the washer.. He used the 'snake' tool to fix the situation for us, and we will have a free camera/visual inspection to follow up making sure all is well and if any additional work may be needed.
Jorge was wonderful! He was very friendly, knowledgeable, skilled and very efficient. We have a new plumber! The total price was only $99 and this was at 9:30 in the evening. And again, this includes the free camera inspection. We'd absolutely recommend Master Rooter!

My husband and I picked Master Rooter to replace the main sewer line in our house.

Master Rooter is definetly more expensive than others but they assured us they finish every job efficiently and to the customer's satisfaction and I was ok paying a lot more knowing they wouldn't destroy my lawn in the process.

What actually happened was much worse than some dead grass. After installing the sewer line, they reconnected the sprinkler lines and they buried the trench they created. Within a week the trench caved in and broke our sprinler line.

About two weeks went by before they showed up. When they showed up however, they came to fill the trench with more dirt, leaving my broken sprinkler line even less accesssible.

A few days after that they sent a crew out to fix the sprinkler line. I met the crew outside of my house and they said they were looking over what parts needed to be bought for the sprinkler line to be fixed and that they would go to Home Depot for the parts they needed and would soon return. They left and never came back.

Now as we try to get ahold of them we are having no luck from them to help us even though they give a 5 year warranty on their work and it hasn't been more than a few weeks and we have had several problems already.

We might go the Better Business Bureau route but we see that they had their BBB accreditation removed last year for exactly this reason. They weren't able to complete the job to the customer's satisfaction and refused to help their own customers in good faith. Stay away from these people!!!!

My husband and I are both in our 70's and we don't have the time or energy for all of this chaos.

The plumber came on short notice when we had a leak in a water softener line. The plumber said he would have to go to store and get water lines to repair. He said it would cost $600+ but would do it for $500. I said I would do it myself for that. He talked me out of it by saying it was difficult to sweat the lines, blah, blah, blah. He went to ACE and got parts, came back and was done in 15 minutes. When I asked how he was done so quick, he said he just put on compression lines and didn't need to sweat them. In total he was at my house less than 45 min, maybe an hour with the trip to the store. I appreciate them coming out right away, but feel $500 was excessive and they took advantage of me because I was dealing with water damage and waiting on the water mitigation people to arrive. People I have talked to agree the charges were excessive including the claims adjuster and others. Beware!

YIKES!!! I called for a simple sink repair. Within two hours of repair the sink leaked worse then before. They sent out another employee a couple of days later because they said they had to fire the first tech. Maybe should have made sure he was qualified before he was sent out on calls?? Anyway 2nd tech finally fixes then tells me how lucky I am they decided not to charge me for the service call... Ya think? Duh they screwed up why would I? Anyway that was in August check was written in full and cashed within 7 days. I have never heard another word from them. 2 days ago I received a email from my franchiser saying they had sent the bill to him. Never called me or wrote ME a letter or sent me a invoice, so that I could nicely tell them the bill was paid and the check # . Instead Joanne the account thought it a good idea to attack the customer and try to get me in trouble with my boss. WHO does that??? Then I call the office to talk to Tony the owner or Dennis the manager and instead get a call from Joanne the one I told them I was specifically complaining about...? HUH ?? I was told by Joanne that the owner and manager are too busy to talk to me. GREAT STUFF Way to make it about the customer.. Save yourself the stress and find someone else. Read BBB reviews also! Not good):

I had master rooter come out and give us an estimate on just putting in a new faucet and a garbage disposal. We got a quote of $600 dollars and the plumber said they were mid range as far as plumbers are concerned. While me and my husband were discussing if we should fix it at that specific time the plumber stepped in and asked if he could make a suggestion. We said yes. He had already looked at our hook ups and said get a handyman. Can you believe it a plumber about to make $600 dollars told us we could save lots of money by hiring a good handyman. He then proceeded to look at other areas of our house and told us there were no other plumbing issues. The plumber then proceeded to leave with no money in hand he did not even say be sure to tell all your friends about the service that I gave you. I asked him if he had a business card he proceeded to go out to his professional Master Rooter truck and came back with a card. If you have a major plumbing issue or a semi major issue you need a good certified plumber. Choose Master Rooter. If you have a small issue like we did a good handyman will do just fine. will I use this plumber again you bet I will. Will I tell all my friends who need a plumber you bet I will. Master Rooter the honest plumber. I really wish I could give them more then 5 stars because I certainly would. I hope this post gets them a ton of business. This is the third time I have called upon Master Rooter. The previous two experiences were around 2 years ago, Frank (master plumber) came to the house assessed the situation and repaired it within a timely manner. I say timely, considering what he was up against, with rust and residue cemented around my 30 year old pipes. He went over and beyond to complete the task correctly and kept an upbeat attitude about it. He was honest and informative.
And because of this, there was no question when I was in need of plumbing maintenance today as to who I would call. Frank arrived with a smile and ready to work. Plumbing maintenance is no easy task, especially in old homes. Frank immediately found the problem behind the walls and went out of his way to keep the repair at a reasonable cost. There is no question as to who I will call on next time. Frank has proven himself to be honest, thoughtful and willing to educate the customer. His character and work ethic are a testament to the company that he works for. I highly recommend Master Rooter Plumbing. Thank you Frank!

Just wanted to give a good review for an employee named Henry that came to Legend Oaks Apartments
We have had a few people come to try to figure out where the leak is coming from but he was the only one that stayed about 2 or more hours going back and forth and really trying to investigate and resolve the issue. Even though we have masks I can tell he is smiling right through it and eager to get his job done productively. Keep up the good work!

Terrible customer service. No flexibility to work with om timing. Representative was short and had a that sucks attitude.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! The staff is shady and the owner is worse. I was almost a victim of this worthless company, but I had friends that helped me vet them. Tony (the owner) is a drunk and a thief...Run, run far and fast.

Jonathan did great job! It took a little longer than expected to find the new faucet, but he very quick and efficient with the installation. We really appreciated his honesty. He only replaced what we needed and didn't try upsell
us things we didn't need.

I booked 3 drain cleanings on my rental properties. This was for maintenance only. No issues. The price changed when they showed up. From $99 to $99 +$25 truck charge + $35 to carry the machine down the stairs. Completely ridiculous!!!

NO PROFESSIONALISM AND LAZY!!! The property I live on uses this poor excuse for a company and I couldn't be more blown away at their inability to do their job. They shut off the water WITHOUT NOTICE yesterday at noon to fix a plumbing issue, could NOT fix it, and actually went home for the night without any solution or notification. HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE LEFT OVERNIGHT WITH NO WATER!!! And then they didn't even return until 10am the next day! I am a Service Technician and know that they had the choice to stay and do their job, but instead chose to go home leaving all of the tenants to fend for themselves. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN

Definitely the best plumber in Colorado that I’ve used. Had other plumbing companies install tankless water heaters at my rental units and they always had issues. On the flip side, Master Rooter Plumbing installed my last 2 water heaters without issue. Thanks! Will use again

I called Master Rooter Plumbing to clean and tune my AC unit. They came within a couple days and did a great job. I had trouble getting my unit to kick on so I called again and the tech who did the cleaning called me on his day off to walk me through how to turn the unit back on. They were very responsive and I will definitely call them again for future needs.

Had Frank out to unclog a drain for me and scope it with camera after clog was cleared. Old cast iron under floor rotting out and clay pipe outside bad with section very depressed and retaining water and in poor condition (1960's home).

I had the outside section replaced with the pipe-bursting method from the foundation to sewer tap. I would come out and observe them from time to time and could see that at each step they were doing quality work. I looked at the pipe that was used to replace the line and I am confident it will last the test of time. This was an all day job and crew worked very hard and professionally, including compacting soil at foundation as they replaced it and protecting the landscape leaving my yard in great condition. I absolutely recommend them!

We give Master Rooter Plumbing 5 stars based on our experience! The service was outstanding and very prompt. The technician was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Rather than stopping after initially unplugging our sewer line and confirming via camera, he went to extra measures to continue removing roots and unplugging to restore our system to nearly 100% capacity. The price was very reasonable too!

Jonathan was awesome and did a great job. Price was much lower then others. cleared our drain promptly and cleaned everything up. He was also very courteous and helpful! Great job.

Love Master Rooters pricing but I think most bad reviews don't understand what's wrong with their system and think everything cost $200. I sold hvac 15 years ago and can vouch for pricing just do a little research on average cost of typical problems and these guys are way more affordable than the rest of the Market.

Worst business in town!

When I contacted Tony he came right out and gave me a real estimate that was within our church budget. They came out the next day as promised because the other company that we had hired decided not to show up on Wednesday which was the day that they had promised. The crew that came out was awesome and had very good knowledge of the task at hand. They did a great job. Very professional and efficient. I would not hesitate to hire them again. Thanks Tony

Had some water heater repairs that needed to be done at the apartment community I manage. They were so professional and quick to respond as this was clearly an emergency. I highly recommend them!

We love Master Rooter and use them regularly for our multi-family complex. Hands down the best quality work for the price. I am giving one star just because of the previous plumber we had and we can't post this without choosing one star, otherwise I would give zero stars for this last plumber that came to our house. We found out yesterday that the problems we had with our main sewer line were made up by him. We had our line inspected with a camera and none of the problems he said we had were true. My advice to Master Rooter is; Only hire honest, experienced plumbers that know what they are doing.

We have used Master Rooter for several years and they are always professional, able to come quickly, and their prices are GREAT!

Jonathan came to fix my water heater, he was very friendly and worked very hard to ensure we would have no further problems. Very professional.

We called on July 4, 2016 with a failing water heater. At the time, we were pleased with the service, but we have since learned the water heater was installed extremely poorly. The water heater was replaced, but was vented improperly. As a result, our carbon monoxide alarm was triggered this week and we found out we were in danger. We called Master Rooter about this issue and the customer service was very poor. They made fun of the water heater we had installed (that their technician picked out and purchased), and quoted us $3500 to repair the issue that they should have taken care of 3 years ago.

I called Master Rooter to snake a kitchen drain at a 4-plex I have in Arvada. Upon arrival the tech, Mike, tried to snake the line to no avail. He had to go back to get another snake because he had the wrong size. With the new snake (also too large by his admission) he had similar luck and said he needed to cut a clean out access to get to the blockage. After cutting a $235 hole in the line he still couldn’t clear the blockage and recommended a scope to assess if there would need to be “additional work, an excavation, or additional above ground work.” After charging my card for $344.00, I decided to cut my losses and call another company to snake the kitchen line. It was clear and draining fine within 20 minutes of arrival. I would not recommend this company.

Update::the insurance information provided by the owner of the business was falsified. the business claims to be insured through American family Insurance. However American family Insurance has no business records matching the name address or phone number of the business at any point in their history. The state police have been contacted and are investigating.

A driver from this company struck my vehicle and attempted to leave the scene of the accident.

They drove a Ford F-350 over my foot in an attempt to elude prosecution.

Fortunately the police were able to catch the interaction.

The owner of the company has refused to comment on the situation and refuses to provide insurance information.

The driver of the vehicle and the passenger in the vehicle refused to cooperate with police and refuse to provide insurance information or driver's license information.

Department of Transportation reports that multiple reports have been filed against this company in the past.

I've never used their services but having read the below reviews it seems that the presidents of theft is common...

When you arrive at the facility the doors are bolted shut and you must be allowed in by staff to even talk to a secretary.

Quentin, up front, was very helpful and polite. The owner of the business however was confrontational accusatory and non-responsive.

I have tried using this company at multiple different worksites and every time they have failed miserably. From their lack of decorum to their horrible service to installing things backwards. I will never use this company again!

They are very professional and do both commercial and residential we use them for commercial application. They worked diligently with the City of Lakewood to ensure that we were all up to code. If any issues of came up they were easily and quickly communicated to the main office and the plumber. The work was done on time and within budget. We were very pleased.

Up until two weeks ago, Master Rooter was my very favorite plumbing company.
Three years ago, Tony creatively and successfully solved a years-old problem of ground water soaking into and flooding my basement crawl space. He installed a French drain and sump pump which has channeled gallons of water to the outside. As I understand it, he has now become president of this company.
One month ago, the 56-year-old clay sewer pipes from my home to the street failed and the same crawl space flooded with sewer water. Rod came within two hours and very professionally handled the disaster. He called a restoration company to pump out and sanitize the area and then supervised the installation of new sewer pipe, handling city permits and even talking with my insurance agent to get more coverage because pipe access was needed within the house. A 3x4' hole had to be dug through concrete next to the house for the pipe installation and, as noted in the contract, Master Rooter would replace the concrete.
It is now more than a month and the concrete has not been replaced. I understood that crews were backed up because of brief periods of rain and snow, but for 5 weeks? And no one has kept me apprized of their schedule and no one has returned two phone calls to their office.
I will consider using them again because their work is outstanding, but certainly will not write the final check in the future until ALL the work has been completed successfully.

I love this plumbing shop! Honest guys that give a fair price. They have the most friendly and skilled people that I have ever worked with! Way to go guys, thank you for your service.

Needed emergency drain clean out on a holiday. Called and was told “Yes we have a technician in Colorado Springs “. Liars!!!!! 2 hours later I received a voicemail saying there was no technician in Colorado Springs. Why do they advertise and tell you they have someone coming to assist you when it is a lie? We called a real Local plumbing company and the price was was much lower than Master Rooters.

Best company!

Very poor service. Called them at 11 am on Sunday and booked a 3-5pm window. they called at 4:45 and said they couldn't make it. We rearranged our day to wait for them.

Called them to do a job .videoscope and drain clean didn't get either done just one huge bill!!

Had a bad toilet backup and Master Rooter's Paul got there quick and unclogged the main line. These guys are good and even hooked me up with a water drying guy after my turf got wet. These guys are awesome.

Quentin is awesome and always helpful getting us in the schedule for our plumbing needs

Antonio with Master Rooter just came out to replace a shut off valve in the basement for my sprinkler system. Wow- Antonio was so honest that he told me that I didn't need a replacement. I will always call Master Rooter from now on for all my plumbing needs!

Just call someone else. Bad people running bad business. Failed to complete the job and overcharged me multiple times. Tried to fix problem multiple times and was eventually neglected and told to stop calling. Has been a headache through and through. Go with Applewood!

The service is not professional, they must be careful when requesting it because they do not finish the work and when they request a plumbing service, it is because you have a need in your home but they do not qualify with a good level of service

The guys doing the work we’re great but I will probably never do business with them again because of the absolute unprofessional bookkeeper. After a week of my payment not being processed I called. She said she’d call me back. Never did so I called a week later and was told she didn’t know where the invoice with my credit card number on it was. When I got upset about that she said I didn’t have to pay by credit card implying it’s my fault. She said she can’t control the guys turning things in. And when I told her she was treating me pretty poorly on the phone she said she thought she was perfectly nice and gave me options, none of which solved the problem of my c/c number on a piece of paper lost somewhere. I asked to speak with her boss and was told he was out of town. Absolutely unprofessional. Take responsibility for the company you work for and solve your costumers concerns without sarcasm.

Just moved into an older home and I had to get the drains unclogged as we were moving in. Master Rooter Plumbing came and knocked it out in less than 30 minutes. Thank you SO much!

They came out quickly and addressed the issue. More impressive, they spent the time to educate us on how to avoid the problem in the future. Super friendly. Highly recommend.

Master Rooter was sent out after the water heater in my apartment died and flooded my kitchen. Mariano was knowledgeable, efficient and polite as he worked to install the new one in a cramped space that required creative solutions.

I had a mainline backup emergency. I called another company who sent someone out the same day. That technician said a lot of things that didn’t seem right or make sense, trying to upsell. From the Tom Martino referral list, I called MRP for a second opinion and Tony, the owner, offered to do the second opinion camera work for free, and came with Frank to look at the video footage. Frank was incredibly patient while I asked a ton of questions. He made reasonable recommendations, that I plan to follow up on as soon as the budget allows. When I ran a load of laundry after they left, the floor trap started bubbling. I called Frank and he talked me through a few options I could try before spending more money on another house call. Great service!
