We need a larger hvac system. The McDonald salesman made a great pitch. They work with Ygrene for financing. The salesman said we have 3 days to back out of the deal. Ygrene sent the loan terms the day after the 3 days to cancel were up and 1 day before McDonald was scheduled to install ther new HVAC system. The cost was Over $2,000 more than the agreed price on the contract and the property tax was going to go up $1,400 due to the loan and the new home value, so we called and cancelled the installation. McDonald started calling and harrasing us stating that we owed 20% of the installation and parts - about $2300. Why would they order the parts before financing wasn't secured? Shenanigans!

Excellent service! The service technician came at the scheduled time. Carlos carefully laid down a protective tarp where he was working so he wouldn't damage the area. He worked nonstop and had everything repaired and cleaned quickly and professionally.

Had no hot water which is a big problem, especially when you are over 70. Glen Treadway came out, diagnosed and replaced my water heater. I was so thrilled to jump in a hot shower tonight...as well as do a full dishwasher load. Tomorrow on to the laundry. Thanks Glen and McDonalds.
Service was same day and efficientefficient, for which we were very grateful, however the report emailed lacked anythin in the description area...it just showed my signature. It is important as he did not find a problem. When the water was shut off at all points, the meter did not budge. He said the meter itself was bad and should be replaced. We have just received a second water bill with extremely high useage. We need his documentation/report to go back to the City. They had already been out once. My hands are tied until I get his report. Thank you.

I recommend McDonald's Plumbing if you want the job done right with a fair price. I had a water leak start in my house on a Sunday morning. I had to shut the water off, which meant I was out of water until the source of the leak was found and fixed. I called around a few other big name plumbing companies but couldn't get anyone out until Monday. I found McDonald plumbing at the BBB website with an A+ rating. Eduardo was at my house within a few hours of my call. He quickly found the leak and had it repaired, so the water was back on. Eduardo was efficient, friendly and experienced. I will be a return customer to this company for any plumbing needs I may have in the future.

After my home warranty proved to be worthless again I called Moore Home Services. Collin arrived within the hour to clear out the sewer line. The job was finished quickly and for the amount quoted.
My 20yr old heating& air system was starting to go. Darryl & Joe made the arrangements for the work. Gary, Dheaven, and Jose were prompt--introduced themselves. Very polite, professional, explained what they were doing. Left the work area clean & neat. Great experience.

Very quick and friendly service for AC not working. Technician told me the AC filter dirty and needed cleaning. He told me the charge would be a little more than $300 for him to do it or he could teach me for nothing more than the diagnostic fee. Very nice and honest guy. I didn't know the outside filter needed cleaning. Just hosed it out in a few minutes.

FIVE Stars for Laird.
He just left my mother’s very old house which of course has very old original plumbing. He was wonderful. He checked over the issues we are having. Then, in a conference call with our caregiver and me, he explained exactly what Is happening. He was sensitive to the fact that any major work in this house is, at this point in time, not something we want to do. I especially appreciated his attitude. He was not condescending. He was polite and experienced. We are very pleased our issue will be fixed tomorrow.
I also thank the McDonald management who salvaged trust we lost yesterday after another plumber had an unfortunately bad experience with us. He, I’m sure is an excellent plumber, while customer service experience is learned over years of house calls. He has a good mentor in Laird.

We got a quote for a hot water heater that was almost 4x the going rate. We got 3 other estimates all were at lease $1,500 less than Moore's quote. The plumber himself was timely and professional. I could see hiring them to replace my grandma's hot water heater, but if you have Google, you will quickly see they are greatly over priced.

Darryl is a true professional. He resolved our problem for our split unit and saved us money. We were told by another company that they could not repair our unit and it would be cheaper to buy another unit. Which would have been over $3000. They really did not know what was wrong or how to repair it. Darryl saved the day by discovering the problem and repairing it. Thank you Darryl.

Great plumber! Professional and friendly, Glen took the time to thoroughly explain the source of the problem and how he could fix it. Then he proceeded to do just that, very efficiently. Also, I had just moved to the area, and he was nice enough to explain the house/city water shut-offs, even the sprinkler system. Really went above and beyond.

Excellent Service - master Douglass arrived at time and not only fixed a problem with AC compressor unit but explained a lot about how and why the ac system works and what was the problem. Recommend this company 1000%
I had a courteous tune-up of my newly heating system.
The lady was very nice, unfortunately she checked the AC system (we never use), but not the heather.. The AC system is outside the house, the Heating system in the attic. This was strange; the Ac we have is old,, not used by us;.
I though someone will come and really check sand tunes-up the heater.

I have to make changes in my review: The company called; they informed me that the service was for the AC unit; the hitter will be tuned-up in October. This was very thoughtful of them, especially that the AC was not from their company.
I must emphasize this: I was very , very pleased with the Hitting system I bought from MOORE: very silent and efficient, easy to control.
The sales representatives were very knowledgeable, very friendly
and polite.
The same for the installation team: very professional, friendly, and clean.
They vacuumed the house after the installation.

The specialist who came to give me a quote was just a sales person who never checked my house . He just gave me a quote with astronomical number and acted like I owed him. Very unprofessional. I went with another company which charges half what Moore asked and was much more polite and professional.
The staff were pleasant. Carlos made the repair and did an excellent job as he explained the issue and the repair process. They charge by the job which is nice however the rating is primarily for the the pricing, which was a bit expensive.
I had a couple of issues with my AC/heat pump and scheduled an appointment for June 13, 2018. Bernie called me mid-morning on June 11, 2018 to see if I was available for the service call that day. I said I was. Darryl showed up within the hour of the appointment. He had serviced our system previously for a different problem, so I knew him from then. He was his usual friendly and professional self. I told him that there was a clanging sound every time the AC ran and also that the fan would not run. He went to work right away and fixed the problems within 30 minutes! Best of all, he only charged me for the basic service call fee! I highly recommend these friendly and professional folks for any plumbing, heating, air conditioning problems.

Received a call from the dispatch team an hour before Jeremy arrived to give me a heads up that he was on his way which was so nice. Jeremy was very thorough, friendly, answered all of my questions, and had great information.
Had maintenance done on two HVAC systems. Nick, the tech, gave me very detailed information about the status of my furnaces. He charged me for service of only one system even though he serviced two.
In spite of a scheduling snafu that caused a single day delay, I must give 5 stars because there dispatch was so professional and the tech had integrity and expertise.
My unit is 25 years old, but the tech was able to repair with parts he had on hand. When it is time to upgrade wwe will certainly be calling McDonald back.

I did a lot of things that fall in the home performance category:
2 solar attic fans (#1010TRS)
new whole house fan (Tamarck Technologies HV1600, with R-38 doors)
radiant barrier insulation applied to the underside of the roof
R-49 insulation
new ductwork
attic sealed
vapor barrier installed under the ductwork under the house
The whole house fan costs about 30 cents to run all night. The house stays cool and I don't need AC until it reaches 98 - just two days so far this summer.
McDonald's estimate was reasonable & their work was wonderful.

Eduardo is a very capable, affable professional. I couldn't believe him when - late in the day with my water shut off - he said, Oh, let's just take care of it now. Easier than explaining a complicated project to someone to take over next day (and I'd have no water and lose another day of work).

Bryan was great, he diagnosed our problem quickly and unclogged our pipe in a timely manner. He explained everything to us in detail and gave sound advice for fixing a bigger issue with our aging pipes. Very knowledgeable and personable.
I trusted McDonald's for plumbing, heating, air conditioning, adding an air scrubber and gable fan, and replacing my old water heater. Even my cat likes Eduardo. This time I had my A/C checked. Bernie called to say Francisco was on his way. Had the A/C checked and added apart to extend its life another 18 years. Francisco was fast and courteous, as are all fo the McDonald's team..

We have used McDonald Plumbing for 10 years, and have always been satisfied. their work is always complete and neat.
We called McDonald Plumbing for the second time and have been very happy with them each time. This time we got the service of Bryan Marshall, who gave us a very professional job. In addition, we appreciated his ability to explain the problem that had led to muddy water coming out of the drain in our kitchen sink, and how he was able to fix the problem. Great folks to deal with!
Won't care about you unless you have a big job for them to do. Even then, they'll overcharge you every chance they get.
Couple years back I had the line that connects my main to my house spring a nasty leak. Paid a bit (~$1300 or so) but figured it was worth it. Had a satisfactory experience but come to find out recently after the following situation (lesson learned here), I could have had my original job done for $400 less with the band-aid approach they did.
So this past week I referred them to a close friend of mine (before knowing I got screwed over originally) needing a replacement of his overflow pressure valve on his water heater.
These nimwits come out and dismiss the job completely, wanting to only replace the water heater for a 2K cost. They didn't even test for the reported symptoms. Then they try to charge for the diagnostic for no work done.
I followed up with their office and our concern was completely displaced by their office secretary (Jennifer).
These guys care nothing about you or your relationship with them (short or long term) at all. You'll only get them out for big projects...don't bother with anything small (<$150).

Our AC system stopped pushing out cold air on Friday night. Our current home warranty company couldn't get anyone here until Tuesday. We called McDonald Plumbing, Heating & Air late Saturday. McDonald scheduled us for Sunday for a service. On Sunday, we are back up and running because McDonald was fast, efficient, honest, and on time. I will be going back to McDonald again when things go bad.

We are having issues with our brand new ac heat pump combo and Moore Home Services has been out here three times and yet no resolution plus they promise to follow up with in a week of each visit and after two weeks I end up having to call them. They have promised to call me back and now another week has gone by. I would not recommend them until they get their act together.

I requested estimates from two plumbing contractors to replace my old water heater with a tankless heater. McDonald's was a much better deal. Also the person who came out to do the estimate is the same one who will do the work. So I was able to get answers to every question.
Gary arrived at the appointment time and I was greeted with a smile. He studied the situation with my water back-up and determined the plan of action to remedy the problem. He also discovered a problem pipe that he was also able to replace. Gary advised me about the McDonald Value Program to save money on any future work I might need done and I signed up for that program. Living in an older home, it seemed like a great plan.
Gary was very friendly and kind and did a thorough job! All is working great now!

The first technician that inspected my heat/air unit informed me that I needed a new control board. For a number of reasons, it took four more days for the correct control
board to be installed. The unit gave heat for less than a day, and then shut down again.
I called the office, and Melanie scheduled an appointment with supervisor Darrell.
Darrell inspected the unit and informed me that I needed a new one. This is when
everything changed for the better. Darrell credited the money I paid for the control
board towards the fee for the crane ( the crane was over $400 more than the control
board). Darrell and the crew led by Matt did a very professional job installing my new
unit. I am very pleased with my new unit.

I called because the pipes under the kitchen sink were leaking and they wanted $79 for a diagnostic fee that would not be wrapped up into the cost of fixing the issue. The problem is obviously the connections and not worth paying $79 for captain obvious to tell me so. That's super shady business. I cannot speak to the quality of their technicians. I called Bonney afterwards and they have a $49 site visit fee that goes towards any work that needs to be done. CALL BONNEY INSTEAD OF MOORE

I wanted to get an estimate on a job. When Israel came out he took the information and didn't try to sell me something I didn't need, unlike another company who came out. Joe called me back within a day and we scheduled the appt. John did the work and so far everything is good.
Everyone in the office and in the field has been friendly and professional. I'll definitely call them first with any further issues.
A sub-contractor installed some siding on our home about 6 months ago. Little did we know that during his installation he also sank a nail into one of our water lines. Once the nail corroded, it sprang a leak inside the wall. Corey S. diagnosed the problem and discovered that the contractor had actually hit the water line with not one, but eight nails. Corey quickly and expertly fixed the waterline. No more leak(s).

I've Use McDonald Plumbing Heating & Air (MDPHA) for years. Five years ago I replaced my a/c with a Trane model recommended by MDPHA. I also purchased the recommended extended warranty.
This past Thursday, when temps reached over 100 degrees, the unit stopped working around 7pm. I left a message with the answering service to get a call back in the morning. Jennifer Clemmons called me before the office even opened and scheduled an appt for the same day. Because of the extended warranty, I had priority for the service call...so I am glad I followed the recommendation to purchase the warranty.
My service tech, Tim Sullivan, did an excellent job of listening to my description of the situation and the diagnosing the problem part fairly quickly. My unit was fixed in 30 minutes and extended warranty covered the cost! I was happy to have air conditioning since we were scheduled to have a very hot weekend.
MDPHA provides quality customer service at all levels. They have professional and competent service people. Their rates are competitive and they will be there when you need them! Go cheap, get burned...go with MDPHA and get long-term quality products and service.

Gabe showed up an hour after the beginning of the 4 hour window given to me. He was professional, helpful, listened and fixed my heating issue quickly and efficiently. It was cheaper than I expected, he even told me what it would take to fix the issue without trying to up-sale me on more than what was needed. This is a great company. Our tankless water heater stopped working despite having both power and gas. I called McDonald and they sent Eduardo out same day. Prior to his arrival, I received a call that he was on his way as well as an email with Eduardo's photo so I would know who to expect. He was very very nice and he easily fixed our tankless water heater on the spot and for a very fair price. He was also very professional, presenting me with the business card upon arrival and just being very patient and helpful. In the end all payment was electronic on an I pad - quick and easy. Great experience and would use them again! I should also mention that Bernadette, who I spoke to on the phone to book the appt, and she called me to notify me Eduardo was on his way, was very friendly.

My air conditioning was malfunctioning. I called McDonald, based on a recommendation from a friend. Their rep Darryl Hutchinson arrived at the appointed time and immediately identified the problem and made the necessary repairs. I was impressed with his professional expertise and contracted for routine maintenance on my heating and cooling systems twice a year.

While Darryl seemed knowledgable and friendly, I believe that we were seriously overcharged for the installation of a Hard Start Kit on our AC Unit. They cost around $45 and their charge to install one was $318. I should have done some research before I had it done. Also, he gave me completely incorrect information about how they work, saying that they store electricity. In an AC (not DC) electrical circuit, they don't do that. I should have negotiated on their ridiculous price, which is my fault. But I thought that I could trust them.

Our technician was very pleasant and professional and the Autumn checkup on our Heater was uneventful and all was good.
I recently bought my 1st home and I wanted to get a second opinion on a quote I got with a different company. Not only did Darryl provide awesome feedback he went above and beyond to provide me with info that actually saved me money on repairs. The previous quote we recieved was incorrect by the other company with unnecessary repairs there was a claim of my unit needing repairs when it was replaced in 2018.
I sent a email online about a coupon for a free second opinion and I was able to get a next day appointment. They even did a courtesy call to let us know the technician was 30 minutes away. I would highly reccomend this company and plan to use them for any future repairs and regular maintenance of our hvac unit.

We just had a very bad experience with McDonald Plumbing. The fault partially falls on me for agreeing to pay a diagnostic or estimate fee. There are many many experienced, licensed, insured, qualified contractors out there willing to visit and offer an estimate for free.
We agreed to have McDonald Plumbing come out since we needed to have the faucet, garbage disposal, and dishwasher hooked back up to the plumbing since we had a cabinet and sink replaced. Everything was in place and ready to go. The plumber that arrived told me in less than a minute after arriving that the job was going to be around $1000. I immediately told him that I wasn't going to pay that and he said he still had to write up the estimate and I had to pay the $49.50 fee. He told me that the cost to hook up the faucet was $300, hooking up the garbage disposal was $175 and then he stopped talking. He handed me the written estimate for $908, so I guess the cost to hook up the dishwasher was the remaining $400 +. After I got a different plumber out, and he didn't charge a fee, he completed the job in less than two hours and charged $325. I felt scammed out of my $50. I called to discuss this with Leslie at McDonald, and on the first call she stated it sounded fishy and she was going to talk to the plumber and contact me. That was on a Thursday, I called back on the following Monday. She spoke about it with the owner and insisted that the $908 was the going market rate for that kind of work, especially for a 'big shop' as she described their business since their insurance is so high. I insisted on meeting with the owner to discuss this offering to come in anytime that week. She said that the owner isn't interested in meeting with me because he is working with contract customers. I was offered my $50 back if I signed a waiver to not tell this story. That was the most insulting part. I didn't take the $50. Don't let my foolish, uninformed, naive mistake be yours as well. Learn from my mistake. If someone asks for a diagnostic fee, say no thanks.

Aaron Findley is personable and explained the problem and options clearly. He has also done our regular checkups for about a year and has always been helpful in answering questions and making suggestions for what we can do to keep our system in good shape.
Matt and Mark installed out new duct work on June 15-16. Both were very professional and polite. They took care to keep our carpets clean and then cleaned up after the work was completed. We were very satisfied with this experience. We would definitely be happy to have these two men work in our home again.

I hope he was just having a bad day coz if not, then I would say don't trust this guy! I did my due diligent work of troubleshooting my problem and google and youtube had suggested that my thermocouple needs to be replaced. I called this company and inquired for how much it will cost to replace that part and I was told that they have to send a service technician to verify the problem first. Next day, Carlos came within the service window time frame and he dressed and acted professional. I led him to the water heater unit and I tried to explain what's going on, what I have done to try to lit the starter flame, but I did not share my assessment of the problem yet. He then opened his binder and started writing a work estimate in the amount of $600+. He then suggested that I was better off replacing the unit so I asked how much that would be and he said about $3K. I then asked why he would say better replace when repairing is 1/5 of the cost. He quipped by saying that it will keep on breaking. He can fix it now and be broken again the next day or the next month. I found the whole thing absurd and him a little shady so I told him that I would like to think it over first. He then said that I will be charged for the service visit. I questioned him about it. I'm the person that would not deny somebody's earnings but I felt that he did not really do anything. He did not even troubleshoot anything. He did not even try/test any. Didn't touch the gas valve, the pipes, the pilot, NOTHING. So i did not see any service provided, only a visit. I even asked him that! And his response was that he doesn't need to touch anything. He said that he has been doing this for so long that by looking at it, he knows what the problem is. WHATEVER!!! Anyway, I refused to pay the service so he said he will waive and provide me a free estimate instead. I'm no handyman so I called my handyman who knows a little plumbing and sent him videos of the DIY thermocouple and asked if he can fix it. He charged me $120. He fixed it in an hour, i gave him $140 plus a beer. Problem solved. By the way, before he started repairing it, he did try to figure out first if some of the parts were ok. He checked the valve and even try to start the pilot light. I was right, just replacing the thermocouple fixed the problem and not the whole pilot unit. Thank God I saved myself some $2800+

I really tried to do business with McDonald, but they do not know how to schedule. Here is my story:
I went to their booth at the Sacramento Home & Landscape show at the end of January at Cal Expo. I spun their prize wheel and received $750 off a service. I've been wanting to get a tankless water heater so I thought this might be a great deal!
They called me the following week and scheduled to come by for a free estimate on Friday, February 2 between 8-10 AM. They called Thursday and said they had to reschedule me. I thought that's okay, things happen, so I rescheduled for today, Monday, February 5 between 8-10 AM.
Today is Monday...shortly after 9 AM, I received a call saying that they were on their way. One minute later, I receive another call saying that the person they were sending out didn't have any tankless water heater experience and Carlos, who they were going to send last Friday received an installation over the weekend that ran into today and couldn't come. They said they had to schedule me for tomorrow. I told them, I can't do business with you if this is the way you run it. She had the nerve to call me right back and I immediately answered, I told you I don't want to do business with you, please stop calling!
They have to realize that people have to rearrange their work schedules for this type of thing and I had already changed it from Friday to Monday and then they wanted me to do Tuesday.
First off, McDonald, know the work you are sending out your team to do and send the right people. Second, if you realized that, and you knew Carlos would not be available, you could have called me earlier than the morning of the appointment to make arrangements or at least schedule a weekend appointment for the trouble. I can't just take time off work at YOUR leisure! You should be able to accommodate the customer as best as possible. I gave you two chances...I wasn't going to give you a third.
Potential consumers...be aware of schedule changes if you choose to do business with McDonald.
Anthony was extremely professional and thorough. He noted that the exhaust duct was detached from our heater, leading to a potentially dangerous buildup of carbon monoxide, and he fixed the problem. He also cleaned up debris left by roofers that could have led to overflow of the AC drain pan.
