unit and got a call that their techs had an appointment in our area the next day. We were impressed that they were able to get to us earlier than
normal! The check went as expected and the tech was clean,

I can’t speak to the quality of their work since I didn’t use this business. Their flat bid price quote was quite high, and they refused to break out the cost into parts and labor. So I went with another contractor that did excellent job at a third of the cost.

Did not add the needed Freon to recharge our system. Tried only to upsell a new unit that would take months to replace. Meanwhile, we still have a seriously underperforming AC system with weather getting hot!

Mac came to our cabin and quickly diagnosed the problem with our AC as a failed fan motor. While it took a while to get the replacement fan motor (older AC unit). Mac came out right away to install it. When Gilmore sent him instructions they were off slightly and he could not find the Hide-a-key to get into the cabin. He drove several miles away to get cell phone reception and explained that he couldn't find the key. I gave him proper instructions and he then returned to the cabin, entered and set the AC on cool as we needed to have done. His attention to the issue and willingness to drive a ways to get instructions then return to set the thermostat was truly an awesome piece of customer service. I would recommend Gilmore Plumbing and Heating to anyone!!

Chris was on time, professional and explained what was probably the cause of my low water pressure. He gave me 3 options to remedy the issue and the cost of each. He got my hot water working perfectly and I’m having him come back to repair the cold water issue.

Chris y is a professional when it comes to central heating and AC. He is also very polite and very friendly. He had to trouble shoot the problem that I was having with my central heating unit in my home. He diagnosed the problem with in 1 hour. The heating unit which is manufactured by TRANE required 2 parts that needed to be replaced. Gilmore heating and AC company has very high Tech testing equipment which they supply for all their technician's. Choosing Gilmore heating and AC is the number one choice that you should go with. I am a very happy customer.

Scott is the greatest technician ive ever encountered. Hes very knowledgeable, intelligently answered all my questions, witty and fun! If u encounter people like him, u will really smile. Let me say I usually dont leave reviews, but I definitely had to make mention that being without air when outside temp is 105 degrees is definitely not fun. But despite my frustration the employee Bonny @ Gilmore made my experience as a customer a pleasant one. I felt heard and understood She was nice, professional, helpful and empathic to my situation. Everything she told me she was going to do she did. She was patient and Im pleased to say she went beyond her duty. Its hard to find good customer service, now a days, but not with Bonney. I was really impressed. I also want to make mention of Greg, he came out to my house spoke with me, explained everything step by step. He was so polite , professional and thorough. Thank you Gilmore for having wonderful emplyees. Hopefully I wont need to call anytime soon.

I had been given an arrival time between 10 and 2, but Rose called from the office to see if it would be okay if the Tech arrived early. Josh was very professional and friendly (too bad he's moving to NV). He cleaned bees out of my drain pipe and checked out my whole AC system, finding one part that needed to be replaced. He showed me pictures on his iPad of the readings on his meters. I will continue to use Gilmore for heating, AC, and plumbing needs.

Never responded have to call grenier heating and air conditioner to fix my ac unit. Never call Gilmore again. Gladly pay grenier 612 dollars cash to fix it. From now on I will call grenier because they were there for me and my ac needs. No star whatsoever to Gilmore.

Tech was here same day I called. He service tech was friendly, knowledgeable and check the system. He was done in 45 minutes and was very efficient.

They didn't repair anything. Came out in summer for the 75 cleaning and repair. Didnt do anything but make it worse. Talked a 93 year old woman into the $20 a month. What a rip off. Heater broke called them and They said it needed a $1000 part and couldn't guarantee it. Had someone else come out had it running in 5 minuted. There was a bird in the fan.

Had scheduled an appointment to have a representative come to our home to evaluate our existing 25 year old HVAC system with hope of getting it replaced. The rep checked our equipment and discussed some options with us and asked if we were ready to sign an agreement to move forward. We told him we were still in the process of soliciting additional proposals and would not yet commit. He took all the paperwork that outlined the options and costs with him and said he would email us the details. He left nothing behind in the way of literature to review or even a business card. We received a call from a different individual about a week later asking again if we were ready to commit. We let him know that we had not received the promised copy of the proposal/equipment cost. We have moved forward with the successful installation of a complete replacement system with another contractor. Seems they're good at advertising but not so much with the follow up. Disappointing! Sorry that I have to rate them with even the one star.

I have always used Gilmore and everything they have done has been excellent, but I did have a bad experience with them recently. After installing a new water heater, the heat level is not what I like, which is HOT water. The water temp now would barely be considered hot, and when I called them they sent a service man who said he wouldn't turn the temperature up, because he didn't want it to scald me. Hell, it's not even HOT, let alone scalding!!! I would expect more after an almost $5,000 water heater replacement bill!!!!!! And from Gilmore.

They did a wonderful job. The salesperson, Brian, was very knowledgeable and honest with his presentation. The technicians who replaced our air conditioner and furnace did an excellent ob. My son hired Gilmore to replace his Heat Pump, AC & pool pump. He was very happy with their service, price & installation so when I wanted to have my gas heater maintenance done in the home I just bought, he said to call Gilmore. He said they are very professional, honest & the customer service is beyond great, not to mention they really know what they're doing. So, I called Gilmore and everything was just like he said. The technician was super polite, professional & followed all the Covid 19 safety precautions. He showed me pictures of the inside of my heater & said it was in good shape but could use the blower to be cleaned of dust.
It's such a good feeling to have someone I trust, to call when I help. I will definitely call them whenever I need any service or replacement.

I had to wait 5 weeks to get an appointment and the day before the appointment they called to reschedule. Instead of making my appointment a priority, they tried to schedule another appointment a month later. I told them that's not professional, I should be a priority not blown off. I asked for name of manager,, was told manager busy but would call me back. The manager pawned off their duty of calling me back & had a dispatcher call me back. The dispatcher tried to give me a different time, Unfortunately with less then 24 hours notice, I can't just change work schedule. I needed my unit fixed before summer. Horrible!!! If this is how you treat family and new customers, no thanks. You screwed me!!!!!

(1) I'm using Gilmore because I'm paying Gilmore a monthly fee. Why would I use anyone else? (2) Also, the technician did not know if I had a heat pump. He was looking at it! They did an inspection of the safety of our furnace, finding it VERY dangerous to run (considering it is 45 years old) . We are having a new system installed. The technician was very professional and showed me all the problems. He crawled on the attic took pictures of my ducts and explained I was lucky that it quit working before having a fire or a carbon monoxide issue. I would recommend this company to anyone.

The team of Tyler and Luis were on time. They went straight to work after masking up, laying down drop clothes and breaking down the equipment for removal. The installation went quickly. These two were meticulous in their installation of the HVAC system I purchased. I was always taught to leave an area cleaner than when I got there. I ended up just getting a quote for replacing my HVAC unit, and the salesman got a little unprofessional when his quote was beat. Said the second quote was done janky, because it was hand written, even though I understood because I asked for a different brand of equipment than what they are dealers of.Made comments hinting that I possibly got the second quote from a company that wouldn't be pulling permits. Didn't do a full inspection of the HVAC system, which was not even going into the attic. The worst of it in my opinion is that he was pretty persistent about getting a picture of the competing salesmans card. I felt like I was being questioned, and I know he didn't do his job fully. I had worked in the HVAC field for over 13 years, salesman being part of my job, and how he handled everything is not how you should conduct business. He got 2 stars for his knowledge of the HVAC equipment

If you want to pay top dollar, like almost $13,000.00 to have your A/C unit replaced then go to Gilmore. If you want an unsolicited 19 year old tech sent out that turns off your heater so it can't be used then after 2 weeks of them not being able to sell you a new heater and you call and talk to the mgr. Jason Marshall because it's freezing outside and he laughs at you and tells you to go ahead and waste your money on an attorney, call Gilmore. Then they finally tell you to call PG&E they will come out and turn the heater back on, call Gilmore.

The job was left incomplete. Heater is not working, there are 3 holes in our bedroom walls, and a piece of yard art was broken. We allowed them in our house while we were at work and when I got home one of the technicians handed me my phone charger, that he had “borrowed.” Am I being picky? That did not sit well with me. We chose to go with Gilmore due to the reputation, not sure it was worth it.They even left some old vent covers which do not match the white ones they put in. We paid for a full replacement and new system. However, Randy who was our comfort specialist was amazing when signing us up, but not impressed one bit with the technicians. Hopefully, things get resolved.

Gilmore has terrible customer service. They cancelled on me twice in the same week. Both because I missed their phone call while they were on the way to the appointments. They never showed up to the first appointment stating they need confirmation by picking up the call? My confirmation was booking the appointment in the first place! The irritating part was, the second appointment, they just sat outside in their vehicle. Didn’t even knock on the door. I noticed the missed call and returned it not 5 minutes later. Dispatch said they left and would not be returning! What exactly changed with their schedule in 5 minutes? They would otherwise be completing the service that I scheduled within that window. Avoid the headache and stay away from this vendor.

Gilmore never disappoints in their committment to service. We have had multiple instances of urgent issues and Gilmore has always made us feel our concerns matter. I will share two situations. The first was in the Summer during 110 temperatures. Our AC went out and Gilmore brought us a mobile air conditioner to keep us cool until they could look at our system. I should add, the hvac system we had was not from Gilmore. It wasn't a hard decision who to go with when we had to buy a replacement.
The second is recently. Our heater went out the day before Christmas Eve and we were expecting guests. They were able to get someone out to help us on Christmas Eve. Scott was knowledgeable, efficient and supportive. I cannot say enough about Gilmore...they are best in class.

So I actually called Gilmore for service to my great grandfathers house. He is healthy enough but not always extremely sharp. The technician from
Gilmore could not have been any more helpful, patient and understanding. He made some simple fixes to the equipment and even called me from the appointment to make sure I knew what was being done and how to help my great grandfather going forward. A 30 minute appointment probably took him 3 hours due to my great grandfathers questions but he still was nothing but sweet and supportive. I can not recommend Gilmore enough!

Mac and his assistant Hussein came ready to work! I could tell right away that Mac was professional, intuitive, and resourceful.

Mac explained what he was going to do to service our downstairs HVAC system. During his maintenance process he told us what he found, with pictures and videos as needed. Ours is an older unit which will probably be replaced in the next year or two. The two workers spent over two hours on the older system as well as checking on our four mini- splits upstairs.

I would request Mac for our next service call. He is respectful and helpful in weighing the pros and cons of the older HVAC.

Our heater would not start. Gilmore sent out Lorenzo to check out the problem. At first he thought the transformer was bad and planned to replace it. He then tried the reset button before replacing the transformer and the furnace was functioning properly. We thankful for this since it was a huge savings. Great job Lorenzo.

Capacitor went out and DW wanted it fixed right away! Gilmore was able to be here the next day and on time. Macarthur N. was very professional and took the time to explain what went wrong, my options, and the repair. As part of the service he also check on my heating unit. It wasn't cheap but he got it done and AC is working once again shielding us from the current heat dome over the west.

Add: My unit had a booster as part of initial installation. Thought that wasn't necessary but it was integral of how mine functioned. As part initial work, I elected not replacing it. Wrong! Mac came back the next day and put one on! Great service.

I attempted to get a detailed estimate to replace my HVAC units and ducts in an old home. However, Gilmore's estimator just scribbled some dollar amounts onto a blank yellow paper and allowed me to copy it. Unfortunately, the Gilmore representative declined to document a scope of work, the proposed HVAC unit types, other materials like the ducts, warranties, SEER rating, duration of the work, how many days the proposed dollar amounts would be accepted as a bid, or other details that I would normally expect from an estimate that could be readily compared with competitors' estimates. I was not impressed with his utter failure to communicate and how he wasted my time.

Called for an estimate to replace my AC/Heater. Slick sales guy came out and looked around for 10mins. Barely stuck his head in the attic and said $18,000 would be a ballpark. Obviously I asked for a written quote, nothing. Said he would email me the same day, nothing. Called again and talked to some slick telemarketing/call center who said, “Oh, we didn’t have your email address, we will send that now”. Still nothing. Two more calls and still nothing.

Called 3 other companies, all 3 did a more thorough measurement and analysis of needs. All three sent a quote over the same day with options. All three were substantially cheaper than $18,000.

Tough to trust a company that does business this way.

Tyler and Luis showed up on time and were very nice and respectful. I mostly talked to Tyler. He answered all of my questions, had a calm demeaner and was just very kind. They did a good job on the roof, repairing the missing and damaged tiles. They wore covers over their shoes every time they came inside the house. When I told them I had a dog and that I had to put him inside so they could get access to the roof in the backyard, they said Oh, we love dogs! Then they each got a hug from our dog. The technician was very professional and did good work. Found the the drains needed cleaning and that was very expensive - $160 for about 5 minutes of work. I was disappointed in scheduling the appointment. I called for the $59 HVAC special in April and they were booked until the end of June. Took the appointment. The day of the appointment they called and had to cancel due to an emergency that they technician had. When asked to reschedule they said not until first week in August since they were so busy. It was their fault that they canceled the appointment and should have worked us in within a few days. As I said, the work was good and we will continue using them but if changes in appointments and expensive services continue we will look elsewhere.

Wanted check valve installed for circulating pump system for hot water. Service person nice but not very knowledgeable, needed to call supervisior to know what I wanted done. Estimate was $1189 for a two to three hour job plus parts. Asked for a call back and I did not receive one. $189 charge for estimate that did not have charges for labor and parts itemized. I was willing to pay $850 for service. Too expensive for me.

Bravo Gilmore Heating and Air! I have used you before many years ago when I was in a pinch without air during the 100 degree summer months. Your employees were professional and went above and beyond so I called for the $89 HVAC summer tune up offer. Reps reached out immediately and the next day we had an appointment. After reviewing my 35 year old original air conditioner we decided it was time to bite the bullet and replace it. I was not disappointed with their service. I also had cracks in my furnace so we had to buy both heater and AC unit. They made it easy and affordable. I used their financing program! It was installed the same week!!! Friendly, professional and trustworthy. Glad I reached out and trusted them once again!!!!

I had called another plumbing service. The tech was curt on the phone, then didn't show up complaining of the icy road. I called Gilmore the next morning and they came out that day, fixed my problem, was on time and very courteous and helpful in expelling things. Scheduling was difficult. Few of their technicians are vaccinated against COVID which suggests to me the leadership at Gilmore either has poor judgment or doesn’t really care about the welfare of their clients. At this point in time it is inexcusable to sent unvaccinated technicians into a home. That said, after rescheduling had an excellent vaccinated technician. That tech was very conscientious and thorough.

We've been having the same issue with our Mitsubishi mini split unit for over a year..the system worked well for about 3 years and all of a sudden, our master bedroom unit, began to vibrate and sound like the buzzing of an electrical transformer..the buzzing would be so loud, it would wake us up in the morning. The twist is that the unit WAS OFF...not running..only the main unit in our living room was on..(I decided to video tape the sound, knowing if I did not, they would not believe this was happening.) We've had over 7 visits from techs to mgmt personnel here to ck the system out and after several internal conversations and some with Mitsubishi, they decided to switch out the bedroom unit with a new one hoping that would fix the problem..they replaced the one unit this Feb (charging me 700.00 to install) and approx a month later...same issue..I again shot video to prove my point and called to report it..a tech was sent out, who watched the video and cked the system only to find nothing..he said he would notify his boss and they would call...almost two weeks later, no call..

I called Gilmore and was surprised to find out that they had somehow forgotten about me..they said they would follow up n get back to me.

I was called a few minutes later and told the same tech and service mgr, would be out again to address my concerns..

They showed up, looked at my system, saw the video, which I sent to them, and said they would contact Mitsubishi again and try to find a solution..this was an issue they had not seen before...and would be calling me with their possible solutions..

A few days later I get a call requesting an appt date to install a new motor and board...wait..why and where..it's a new unit...the caller could not answer my question..she said she would find out n call me back..I asked for the service mgr to call me and explain how n who had decided that was the fix..I got a second call from the same young lady saying they were going to replace the motor n board in the outside compressor unit...why and again how did they reach this conclusion..she could not answer. I scheduled the repairs and asked for the service mgr to call..that was 3 days ago n no call..

I'm disappointed that the communication has been less than adequate and even moreso with the fact that this issue has not been resolved..I'm also out 700.00 for, it seems, repairs that were not needed...also, the 15k I spent to have this system installed may have not been a good choice, as it has a problem they can't seem to fix...I also have an issue with Mitsubishi, do they know or have there been similar problems with these units which they have failed to reveal and address..

The saga continues and I'll wait to see how these addl repairs turn out. I have to say that all the techs and other personnel have been very professional and always understanding..so we will see how thi issue is resolved.

Hoping and wishing we get past this.

UPDATE: Awful and literally the worst company my wife and I have ever worked with. Most expensive company in HVAC industry and the worst customer service one can have. Unreal. Fired. At great expense of time, money and shared family frustrations.

Gilmore knocked my socks off when it was sales time. I opted for a top of the line system - expensive but seemed worth it. Since install, by my math they have been out 7 times to fix or adjust. They are coming again tomorrow. Nice people. They seem to care. But my system seems poorly designed on one side of my house. We have significant temperature disparities. It’s been a total time drain and a company I once bragged about is just not getting it done for me. Thank you to Melissa in warranty scheduling as she and Jake have tried. I waited on hold 22 minutes today hoping to talk to the manager. Nobody ever picked up. I called back twice more, no reply. I had originally written a 5 star review. I spoke too soon. Maybe I jinxed myself. Jake is coming tomorrow for another in a seemingly endless attempts to fix this top dollar home HVAC system. I get two hour windows for when they are coming so needless to say it makes it hard to have a job and chase down this frustrating system. Ugh.

Mac N. did a great job of reviewing my heating system, identifying the cause of issues, providing a quote for labor and materials, and finishing the repair very quickly. I signed up for Gilmore's maintenance program which provides two yearly reviews, discounted services, and VIP service for emergencies. I have two homes with Gilmore's maintenance plan and couldn't be happier. Love the company, but Mr. Gilmore needs more dance lessons for his commercials. ;)

We have paid a monthly service fee with Gilmore for years to get quick and knowledgeable service when needed! We had a furnace not working and after calling Gilmore, Kyle call me to explain that he could no longer source the board to our heating unit, it just wasn’t available anymore! He suggested a new furnace and potentially a new AC unit while we were at it! His verbal quote was $15k-$20k. You want to trust people you’ve done business with for years, but Gilmore failed in this instance! One call to a different HVAC Contractor and we had same day service! He had four of those boards that Kyle cold no longer get in his truck! He replaced the board charged me $98 for the service call and the board!
Gilmore HVAC lied about the availability of the board in question and should be prosecuted for “fraud”! This type of business practice should be criminal! Monday they will no longer have our maintenance agreement and they will be asked to never step foot on our property in Camino, CA again!

Carlos got to my house, I opened the door with a bag full of garbage, he took the garbage out and brought the garbage cans from the street up to the house. That's service. Couldn't be more pleased with the install. The new system was delivered before 8:00 AM, the install team arrived about 45 minutes later, and the install was completed by 2:00 PM. The duct tester arrived around 2:15 PM and everything was completed by 3:00 PM. They did a very complete and professional job. Thanks Gilmore!

Our less than 1 yr new system died. The Nest thermostat said no power to the Nest so it wouldn't kick off. Greg came out and determined power to the ceiling saver switch was lost when the installers cut a hole in the drain pan and didn't insulate a wire that wore through the jagged edge of the hole thereby frying the switch. Greg's ability to troubleshoot and bypass the switch until a new one was ordered in, was swift and accurate. He was professional, on time and able to determine the problem in a short period of time. Excellent service with a great attitude.

I was forced to shut the water off to my house when my shower valve snapped off. Water was free flowing and I had no way to turn off the shower, or take one. Gilmore Heating, Air & Plumbing came to the rescue. Their technician Mason saved the day, water is back on just a few hours later. The process couldn't have been easier, and the service couldn't have been better.

We have used Gilmore for over 20 yrs. Regular maintenance of heating and air. We had them replace our system about 14 yrs ago. We also had them replace our insulation and duct work in the attic. They came up with a redesign which greatly improved getting A/C in the master bedroom. The technicians have all been courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and always take time to explain what work they performed and alert us to any potential problems. They even take pictures. We are very satisfied with Gilmore's service.

I was told by the employee which came to my house for an A/C & Heating System replacement quote that they offered FREE FINANCING after Stating I was interested in FREE Financing Multiple times at the End of the Meeting he said - BTW - The Loan Company charges $39.95 to ACTIVATE the Loan - I stated - then this not a FREE LOAN if I have to Pay $39.95 for it! I stated I will not pay for this to be activated. He Jumped up out of the chair - Grabbed his paperwork - and FLEW out of the house and SLAMMED the DOOR! Very UN-Professional! This is the 1st time I have contacted this business and it will be my last! I do not recommend this business !

The tech that came to my house is a scam he turn off my compressor to my ac unit telling me my ac unit was only going to work for a week and set me up a appt to get a whole new ac unit of course when he turn off switch with out me knowing scam artist. Be ware. I had a family friend come over that work on ac unit turn my switch back on my unit it work fine. He was just suppose to fix a leak not turn off compressor. Yes I do need a new unit but you don’t have to scam me into getting one. I found another company that I trust to install my unit when it’s needed

Our water heater went out, we called on a Saturday and were told we will hey a call back on Monday. We called again Monday afternoon and we were told they will send the message to the plumber to call us. He never did, so we called another company, they gave us an appointment on Tuesday and replaced it. We were really disappointed by Gilmore heating and air.

This time, the fix was great. Had a bad AC condensate pump. I bought a better, newer pump, and my Gilmore tech installed it for free. Prior tech gave me a $612 estimate for a new pump plus installation of a new pump output line. I did the line replace myself. The new tech also replaced a VERY funky p-trap line that was badly done initially. No charge!

Again and Again Gilmore comes through!! In 100+ weather is always when your ac goes out when needed most... other companies could not get me on the schedule for 72 hours + seriously!! Gilmore came through same day service! AC back on and life is good. Thank you Gilmore and our Tech Brian E. :)!!
