Had Benjamin Franklin Plumbing install a new Honest Water Filtration system in the home. The staff was informative and professional . Yuniell and his crew were very respectful. They had to do a total repipe of my house. Since my house contained a water closet and the piping used was polythene which is no longer used. One of the valves cracked which caused the leak. Others in the closet were starting to crack and they are no longer manufactured. So my only choice was to do complete repipe. The crew worked very diligently and completed in two days. BF was able to schedule me within a day. I appreciate all of there hard work.

Brad was one the nicest and polite service techs that have had the pleasure of dealing with. He called prior to coming out to give me an ETA and was on time. He looked at the job I wanted to do and gave me the cost to install my new faucet and soap dispensor for my kitchen. We did decide to purchase the yearly package so Brad also flushed out the water heater which was much needed. He explained everything he was doing. I would recomend this company. They may be a little more expensive than others but you get what you pay for. Thank you Brad for a profeesional job well done.

I had a new water heater installed today. Andres and Miguel arrived on time and started work immediately. They explained what they were doing and why. Installation was completed in a timely and professional manner even though they had to replace a defective heating element in a brand new water heater. They worked every minute they were here and cleaned up after themselves leaving our condo exactly like it was when they walked in. Our experience was a very positive one, starting with the field supervisor Dan Chauvette and ending with hot water. We have signed up with the home protection club and look forward to continued positive service.

What a great experience! After two other plumbers failed miserably, Erick and Ron both came to the rescue. Benjamin Franklin did right by hiring those guys. I had two major issues, with one of them being a leak at two different places on the same line. They came up with a solution, made the fix, and save me money. Benjamin Franklin Plumbing came to my home to drain my water heater and check my plumbing on 11/22/14. I will say from the start that 1 year ago I had this done and realized I may need a new water heater due to iron and rust. This time, the heater only drained for approximately 5 minutes.The technician, Erick Young, opened a valve to allow more draining and it too only lasted approximately 5 minutes. My water heater was 9.5 years old and I knew I would need a new one sometime soon. I made the decision to have a new one installed so that I wouldn't be surprised one day in the near future with water leaking into the garage. Erick did a fabulous job and explained details along the way. He even replaced the Anode to a better one and the drain opening to a 3/4 instead of the usual 1/2. He even explained the Anode to me and how it can be changed, which nobody in my life had ever explained. It can save the life of the water heater for a little longer. He was very clean and precise and also he appeared to really love his job. He did an excellent job and I am completely satisfied. I know I could have gotten this job done for much less money, but I would have gotten a manufactured water heater with no changes to important parts. Thank you Benjamin Franklin for a job well done. Always have a good experience with this company. The techs they send out are always very knowledgeable and professional. And I love that they send text alerts letting me know when the tech is heading my way, with a picture of what they look like.The office staff is also very helpful. I called in to schedule an appointment and they had issues pulling up my account. They had to place me on hold for several minutes and when the issue was resolved they apologized and waived the service fee for my upcoming appointment. Very unexpected but very appreciated. Great customer service!Update (6/5/2020): Just had the toilets in my house replaced and Lisa did a fantastic job. Her attention to detail and commitment to doing the job the right way is why I will continue to use this company. I will say this though, I do think it was poorly planned on the company's part to send a solo plumber out to replace 3 entire toilets, two of which were upstairs. That's a beast of a task and in my personal opinion is not safe for just one person to handle. But Lisa did it all and she did it well.

I am my mother's caregiver, which includes her big house! I have over the last few years relied on Ben Franklin plumbing services for many reasons, whether drain clogs, installing a new hot water heater, are just maintenance, their team has always been of the up most quality services! Recently we had the pleasure of having Scott as our service guy. He not only went above and beyond fixing our clogged drains, updating some under sink pipes, and installing a new kitchen sink faucet, he explained patiently to my 88 year old mother everything that was to be done, as well as the break down and total cost. That meant a lot to her! We will defiantly request Scott again on our next services, and we would recommend Ben Franklin and Scott to anyone.

I do not know why they are asking me for a review. I signed up for annual inspections in 2021 and in 2022 they called me to schedule the appointment which was relayed on voice mail. So, I called back and they said I wasn't due. Now it's 2023. I'm not sure what I paid for, but I didn't get any service, so why they asked for a review is beyond me.

The company sent someone the day I called, he , Christian, was very knowledgeable and helpful. We decided to replace the water heater. It was a Friday afternoon. It was set up for Monday morning, Christian and Eddie were both here in time and did a great job in the installation and clean up. I would not hesitate to recommend them or to use them again for any plumbing problems.

Had a major leak under the kitchen sink and we called Ben Franklin. We received an email with the name of the service tech and expected arrival time AS well as a phone call right before arrival. Jon Perez was our service tech and he was ready to go to work. Jon re-piped underneath the kitchen sink and replaced the basket strainer and tested for leaks. Very clean work by Jon. Also Jon PM'ed our water heater and performed a safety inspection through the rest of the house. We also signed up for the Scott family plan which includes One Hour Heating & Air and Ben Franklin.All work was done as requested, clean, efficient, and courteous work done by Jon. Would recommend Jon and Ben Franklin again in a heartbeat. Thank You!!

Erick with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing came today to advise me on the plumbing condition at my new condo. We have a solar water heater and it needs to be drained every 6 months and they come and drain it every 6 months so I don't have to do it. Extremely good and friendly company.

I was very Pleased about Erik arriving within the designated time. In fact I was Happily Surprised after going on Home Advisors early this morning around 7:20am that Benjamin Franklin Plumbing called me within 10 minutes and willing to give me a 8:00 to 12:00 pm time frame for the Free Quote today and honored that time frame. Erik was very Professional and Knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions and was very Pleasant. I was so Impressed with his Knowledge plus Benjamin Franklin Reputation that after the Free Quote I cancelled the other two plumbing companies Free Quotes and went with Erik. I had a A.O.Smith and had it in this house since 2002 so I wanted initially to go with it but after Erik let me know that Rheem Hot Water Heater was a commercial grade I decided to go with that brand. I am not familiar with Rheem brand but I did get the 8 year warranty on tank, parts and labor and with the club membership(that includes a yearly checkup/flushing with a Home Safety Check of my home plumbing. I do Hope this hot water heater lasts as long as my previous one. I have to say I was also impressed how quickly Erik took the old hot water heater out/hauled away and installed the new one. It's never a happy time when you have unexpected plumbing problems. What can make it easier is if you think that the issue is correctly diagnosed and that it can be taken care of as quickly and efficiently as possible. I was relieved to have Erick from Benjamin Frankliin come out and explain to me what was wrong and give me repair options to consider. The next day, Adrian and Juan came at 8 a.m. and got busy right away replacing the faucets in the master bathroom shower and then jet cleaning the waste pipes. Adrian has a pleasant disposition and a professional manner. My repairs were done correctly, quickly, and efficiently. I couldn't be happier and would recommend Benjamin Franklin to others.

I don’t know anything about plumbing and after goggling how to fix my leaking shower I realized I didn’t have the tools for the job since my shower handle had become stuck. They came in gave me a reasonable price. And had the shower fixed and also my cold water in the kitchen sink fixed within an hour. Very professional as with COVID they asked questions before coming over and the plumber wore a mask the entire time he was here.

Had our water heater leak on a Saturday early morning. Made a phone call at 9 am and by 10 am had the Plumbing tech at my house to start working on installing a much needed new water heater. We had a routine maintenance service which led to conversation with our plumber, David, about a filter system. That led to our decision to add the system. David was professional and personable. He didn’t push the sale on us -we initiated the conversation- and installed it on the same day. It was an easy process, and it seemed like a good long-term investment for our family. Yesterday I had a home safety inspection completed by Gary Greenburg. He was training Will, another technician. All plumbing systems in the home were inspected and they went over what was in good shape and what needed attention or repair. My home was built in 1956. I was offered a protection plan for the next year and a price breakdown of the items that need repair. We also discussed installing a water softener system in the future. I was very satisfied with the thoroughness of the inspection. The cost of the protection plan for the year was a good value based on the age of my house. Both technicians were professional and answered all of my questions. Thank you!

I’m a realtor and had to get a jetted tub working TODAY in order to close with the buyers. No plumber would even come look at the tub until I contacted Ben Franklin plumbing. They got a tech in mid day and he figured out it was a faulty plug that the pump was plugged into. He immediately reached out to the electrical division and got an electrician to change the plug. UNBELIEVABLE SERVICE!!!

We returned from vacation and our toilet was leaking badly. I called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing on a Saturday and expected to be put off until Monday, but within 2 hours someone was at my door to fix the problem. Absolutely TERRIBLE experience, and they never even entered my home. They completely misrepresent themselves and only after my boyfriend asked very specifically for every single fee did I get a call back with a minimum charge of $192. We had only called them because of their ad that says we will clean any drain any time for 76$. This doesn't include their roof fee, and starting cost of $49. Another company was very honest, and charged less than half that.

Brad Younker was my technician, and he was on point! 5🌟 He displayed a friendly attitude, a professional demeanor; and explained the procedures for everything he had to do to unclog the drainage system in my home, and what was causing it. WHO DAT!

I would highly recommend this service. I have multiple properties and have gone through a bunch of plumbing companies over the past few years. I will continue to use this company again. They replaced a galvanized pipe for me.

Called for a problem with a leak. I thought it was the hot water tank, it turned out to be the piping in the wall near the tank. I found out we have polybutylene piping which was recalled in the early nineties. The plumber came out and told us we need to re-pipe the entire house. We just needed a quick patch. He said his company will not touch this type of piping for a patch. I was giving a quote of over $10,000 for the re-piping I have a 2 bedrooms with 21/2 bathrooms. I was also giving a quote for a service fee of $49.00 at the time I made the appointment. In the end I paid $61.00 for an appointment and no fix to my problem. Right now water is still leaking. Thank you Benjamin for not patching our leak. I will call another plumbing company today and find out it anyone will patch this pipe. Wish me luck. Find another company to use for your plumbing needs, I don't recommend one.

They did main drain line replacement and repaired my toilets they did clean work very professional and put covers on the shoes when they came in the house and was very polite to me. And they cleaned up after their work. I am happy with their work

Would give a better rating based on timeliness of service and professional staff, but the pricing offered by this organization was literally 3 times more expensive than competing quotes I sought after Ben Franklin quoted a discounted (due to repeat business) price of $5,800 for a water service replacement. I had the job done for $1,900 with a competitor (Llona Plumbing), and Llona was equally, if not more, responsive and professional. When pricing is so far out of whack, I think of it as dishonest. I'd add that when I explained the price I was given was completely ridiculous (having consulted with a friend that owns a plumbing business out of my area), they knocked the price down to $4,300 ... this was still more than double the competing bid, and no logical explanation from the technician as to why it should cost this amount. These guys are obviously looking to take advantage of those without any knowledge of the business, and that do not have the time to get a lot of quotes.

I had a toilet rebuild and gas line cap off completed on my property and Jose, my technician, did an awesome job. He was extremely helpful and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to contact Ben Franklin plumbing the next time I need any repair. They were reasonably priced and the service was prompt and thorough. I was very impressed, thank you Jose from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing.

I found out that my sister had a clogged drain in her kitchen on a Tuesday late in the afternoon so I called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. I was told that they could come out on Tuesday or Wednesday and it would be the same price with no extra charge for same day service. I was given a time window of what time the technician would be there and then I was called approximately 30 minutes before his arrival by the dispatcher. I was told it would be $76 to clear the drain with a coupon, and so when Mike the plumber arrived, I showed him the coupon and he went to work. My sister lives in an older mobile home, which makes working on plumbing issues more difficult. The glog was deep in the pipes and Mike had to snake the system twice at least 40 feet. Mike never batted an eye and never acted frustrated even though this service call took over an hour. He was polite, courteous and informative. Based upon my experience with Mike A, I would have to give Benjamin Franklin Plumbing an A+. I hope that the owners of the company appreciate a good employee. David P. arrived earlier than expected, although our issue turned out to be something he could not fix (septic needed to be pumped) he went above and beyond what I thought a plumber would do. He was very friendly, patient and made sure we understood everything he was doing and going to do. Highly recommend.

I called to get someone over to unclog a kitchen drain. First off, the guy shows up late (1 hr) without as much as an apology. He simply asks whats going on and where, takes a look in the general direction (without even looking at the clog itself) and immediately tells me its going to be $275 to unclog because he needs to go up on the roof to get through the vent line, use a camera, and then snake. He never even attempted to directly look at the clog itself in the sink. Not even disconnect the elbow on the sink.Then he immediately started to upsell me into some crap insurance plan that would have paid for this and a 15% off. I told him to leave and i would not get his service. The entire situation went down in about 3-5 minutes and of course i am now down $50 for this awesome service call. Would never use this company again, get yourself a nice local plumber instead!

I called their number and spoke to a customer service person. I explained to her that we needed a sink installed and that the opening on the counter needed to be enlarged. I also explained the counter was Corian. She did NOT informed me that Ben Franklin could not do any work on the counter.When the person showed up to do the work, he informed us he had been sent to install just a faucet. We were still charged $49 even though it was obviously their fault since I clearly explained what we needed to their customer service person.

Adrian performed the annual plumbing inspection as part of our service contract. He was punctual, friendly and very good at explaining the whats and whys of his inspection. Always covered his shoes after being outside. Was a very pleasant experience with receipt of some desired information about some future updates.

Scheduling was easy by phone. Don’t bother with the online contact. It doesn’t work. Jack and Fabian arrived exactly on the scheduled time. They were friendly and professional. They diagnosed the problem. All aspects of the various solutions were explained clearly (including risks and costs for now and in the future). They explained about their membership program. I chose to join and it saved $$ today. I also chose to try the least expensive repair for now and take the risk vs the whole hot water heater replacement. Jack and Fabian worked very carefully together and they performed the repair for the minimum cost. They saved us more than $3000 for the gas water heater for now. We can now plan for its replacement rather than an emergency later. I think we’ll stay with BF Plumbing. They have been the best plumbing group we’ve had since we moved here 10 years ago. Very professional-reviewed all costs and options thoroughly, during service showed and explained all issues clearly and even allowed me to watch the screen as he ran a camera down our piping to the clean out. Needed water heater coil replaced, salesperson who showed up strongly suggested I buy new, with a 10 year warranty for $2000.00+, So no, wouldn't even live in the house for 10 years, no opted for no warranty...$1500.00No, I just want my water heater fixed, Ok... Reluctantly gives quote for Major Water Heater Rebuild $600.00+What it ended up costing? $20.00 for a new coil, thermostat and one hour of installation time which was actually more like 30 minutes.Even if it lives only one more year, I can now buy at my leisure a brand new Water Heater from Home Depot/Lowes for $400.00+

We have been customers of Benjamin Franklin Plumbing for the last eight years, ever since moving to the area. I have always been very pleased with their work, professionalism, and expertise. The technicians are always personable, knowledgeable, and willing to answer my questions and explain the work being done. I have learned a lot about my home's systems thanks to them! Our technician is usually Dan Chauvette, and he's always friendly and goes above and beyond to make sure we are treated fairly and the work gets done right. In fact he recently noticed an invoicing error for a new sink faucet and the owner of the company called and offered me either a refund or to install a different faucet. I can't say I have ever had that happen before! I 100% recommend this company. It is good to know whenever we need a repair that we have a trusted company to call.

They were called for a leaky shut off valve behind the toilet. More issues were discovered, none unexpected. All options were clearly explained and offered and the solution was perfect. Old home plumbing caused the fix to be unreliable, Lisa continued to work the problem til it was fixed for good! Due to a miscommunication, they had the wrong toilet with them, next thing I knew, the manager showed up with the correct one. Another perfect job by them.

A plumber came out to my house within the hour to fix the problem with my washer hook-up. he had the job completed in 1/2 hour. he was very clean, very friendly and very helpful in pointing out what caused the problem and how to prevent it from happening again. He found a problem with the whole-house water shut-off valve and fixed that too! I will definitely call Ben Franklin if I ever need a plumber again!!!

I have used Benjamin Franklin Plumbing twice now and they are my go to plumbers. They are fair and will do what's right on behalf of the customer. Which seem rare now a days. I have signed up for the monthly membership program and will be sure to use them for all my plumbing needs.

Save your money. Definitely call anyone else. Had them come out for a simple clog needed to snake a drain. Wanted $200.00 plus visit fee. I can go buy a professional snake for about the same. Totally unhelpful as this was given as the only option without any type description. Was here less than five minutes and was very unhelpful and seem to want the most expensive services without any other recommendations to resolve. Only use if you have money to throw away other wise call a real professional.

Quite literally the only benefit of using this company is that you can pay with a credit card. Today I had an appointment from 8 to 12 which is a four hour window. They texted (only once) me at 7:15 in the morning and naturally I was still sleeping as we weren’t expecting anyone to be calling or showing up until after eight. So I responded to the text message, which was only 15 minutes after 8 AM saying that we are available and home. Not only did they not respond, it took multiple text messages before they even responded. At 11:30. They finally answered me telling me that the appointment has been canceled because we did not answer. Let it be known that there was no phone call or a second text message or email confirming the cancellation of the appointment.So here I was at 11:30 in the morning thinking that someone should be showing up soon only to find out the appointment was canceled without my knowledge because I did not respond fast enough for them.Meanwhile I have to wait for a four hour window and respond instantly or my appointment is canceled. I understand allocating resources in employees, and that people sometimes do not respond, however, my response was only 15 minutes after the start of our four hour appointment window.A joke. Bad business and I would not recommend this company to anyone. Better off just going local.

We contacted Benjamin Franklin after searching for 24/7 emergency plumbers. The great feature was being able to text information to them to make initial contact and set an appointment time. We had just had a gas line explosion from our gas grill that injured a family member pretty badly with 2nd/3rd degree burns on lower legs. Unfortunately, after texting with Tae, we found out that they are not actually 24/7 emergency plumbers as they had no one to sent on a Friday at 7:30 pm for what we considered to be an emergency situation. And after hearing about the situation, they offered no assistance in finding another 24/7 emergency plumbing service either. Although the entire conversation was nice and professional, as you can imagine, we were not happy with the response we received. As a result we will be using ABC Plumbing Repair in Lutz, FL in the future for all of our plumbing needs.

He provided a thorough evaluation of our existing equipment and recommended the necessary improvements to ensure our new water heater would installed, up to code and warranteed. He was very personable and just like family. We will not hesitate to call for him again should we have additional plumbing needs. We also certainly refer him to all of our friends and family.

This is our second service call with BF Plumbing in a week for the same problem. After being overcharged and underperformed by the first technician, the problem continued with the toilet.Upon the second service call, this technician did what was needed to get the job done for a fair price. The previous technician sent out by Ben Franklin did not find the problem or perform the necessary work to fix the toilet. However we were stuck with 2 bills, for services that were not all necessary.

Service was excellent and Scott was very professional and knowledgeable. If possible, I would like him to come every time we need assistance.

We have used Benjamin Franklin before and will continue to use them. We get a yearly salt run for our water filter...makes it easier than lugging 60 pound bags up the stairs (neither one of us are able to carry bags that heavy up the stairs). When the tech comes out, he always check out our other plumbing and does a great job! Samuel M. came out to do our salt run and flush our water heater. He did a great job! We will ask for him again! Very knowledgeable and courteous! Edited for current trip. We had a problem with our water filter, and our guy came out, masked up for safety, checked out our system, and filled up our salt. We have a 10 year warranty on it, and everything was warranted, so we are good to go! Love this company!

I called Benjamin Franking Plumbing for the second time since owning my home considering the first experience I had with them was incredibly professional and fair. The first technician they sent me was very unsatisfactory, requesting full pay for doing poor work and not even cleaning up or finishing the job. However, with one call I was able to learn that said technician was new, and I was sent another professional to complete the work. Not only was Bill Bollman (the new technician) just as experienced and proficient as I had expected from this company, but I was also given a sincere apology and a discount for the trouble. I will certainly continue using Benjamin Franklin (and their associated companies) not only for plumbing but all my household needs.

I was able to schedule an appointment very quickly when my sink clogged, and my technician showed up during the assigned time window. Communication was very good, and he fixed my issue within an hour.

I think not. The service last time was fantastic even though I have found that the price was considerably higher than most others. Would I call Ben Franklin again for service NO WAY.

They always amaze me. Not only does Ben Franklin do everything they say they will do (ie. show up on time, provide the estimate prior to starting the job, fix in one trip), but they also do it in a way that makes you happy to have them in your home. Dan offered tips on other issues, left every thing spotless and even played with our dog.

Lisa responded to our request promptly, completed measurements and quoted the job professionally before left. She was very friendly and was able to answer all our questions. She even made some valuable suggestions in the areas where we did not pay attention to. We believe this is a great company to work with!

Our toilet was leaking and he found that the seal was bad and tree roots had gotten into pipe. He used a camera to be sure there was no more blockage from the roots.

We had a leak in the wall. Some people came out to inspect. We were recommended a full home repipe. I would have needed to finance a project that large.A deeper investigation was performed after that visit. There was a broken coupling in the line supplying water to my fridge. It was a quick and simple fix.

I keep being billed for stuff after I paid for a cooling system that I was later told was too big for my house contrary to what I was told when I made the purchase being told this was my best option.

These guys are horrible. They charged me over $6,000.00 to replumb my house. They told me they would start on Saturday (we didn't have water) but they didnt show until Monday. They fell through my ceiling and put a man sized hole (they never fixed it). They had to come out three times because the work was not completed and was sub-par, and the extras they were going to throw-in never happened. Really, save yourself some money and find another company to do business with. We are having another plumbing issue and BF will not be getting a call!

We arrived home in the evening after being out of town for the weekend to find water pouring down our driveway and a flooded garage (that had been leaking from the water softener). Another service came out and removed the softener from the system only to discover that water was no longer flowing into any fixtures in the house. The same company came back the next day and attempted to flush out the obstruction (resin from the softener) from the pipes. When that didn’t work he recommended repiping the entire house for $10000+.We decided to get another opinion. We found Ben Franklin Plumbing Tampa through Home Advisor. Fortunately, we got David A. as our tech. He was originally scheduled between 2-6pm but the morning of my appointment they called to see if they could come at 8:00am. When he arrived, he looked at all of the fixtures in the house (something the other company did not do) and was able to narrow down the location of the obstruction. He approached the issue in a step wise manner and provided good explanations of each step before attempting the next. After the second fix, David was able to restore water flow to the house using different methods to remove the obstruction. Based on his findings, he recommended a whole home water filtration system that is more compact, wall mounted, well-suited to our needs, and requires less maintenance. The issue was diagnosed, addressed and a new system was installed the same day (had we gone with the other company we wouldn’t have had water until the end of the week). Despite having saved us SEVERAL THOUSAND dollars they still worked with us on the cost. The whole team was very professional. David was very patient, answered all of our questions and was very efficient.I would absolutely recommend Ben Franklin plumbing for their plumbing needs!

The work done was fine. Cost was similar to other companies.What wasn't ok was that when I declined to pay for a monthly service where they'd come out to my house and check my plumbing, they sent a salesman. This salesman tried to hard sell the extra service.

Charles checked my master BR toilet and recommended three options to possibly fix the problem. We went with the least expensive auger and it seems to have solved the problem. I asked him to look at my guest bathroom regarding the tank leaning and seeming loose. Benjamin Franklin had rebuilt the inner workings so Charles said he would fix the tank at no charge. I appreciated that.

UGH. Toilet issues. Oh lord, why!!!?????So, I called B. F. Plumbing. The office staff was very pleasant and gave me an estimated time frame as to when I could expect someone. I am so happy to say we were fortunate enough to have Mr. Scott come out to our home. Polite, professional, and VERY knowledgeable. He took the time to show me the interior workings of the toilet and how it had been improperly installed by the builder. This was not the actual problem, but definitely good to know as we will be replacing it in the future. He did NOT make me feel like a total idiot for throwing Lysol cleaning wipes down my drains and clogging everything up (yup, I did that). I recently contacted Ben Franklin for a plumbing problem in my home in Lutz.They gave me a short window of time to expect the technician to arrive, which helped me plan my busy day.Mike Kinney arrived within the window of time and actually much earlier than I expected. I have owned homes for the past 25 years and in many different cities across the US and he was the most professional individual that I have ever experienced.He sat down at my kitchen table before he began working. He talked about Ben Franklin and what I should expect from him or any other person from the company. He was clear and articulate and promised me that he would fix the problem and that I would learn something as well.Once he was able to assess the situation and determine what work needed to be done, he talked it through with me and was completely transparent about the pricing. I knew exactly what it was going to cost me before he began any work in the house. I truly appreciated the no surprise pricing approach.After he fixed the problem he completed a full inspection of all of the plumbing in the house. He then sat down and reviewed some things that I could have taken care of, when I was ready to do so (and told me that I can call or book on line - which I like that convenience too).If i planned to be in the house for more than another month or two I certainly would have signed up for their Protection Club (Mike helped me understand the benefits of this service and justify the cost).The entire time he was in the house, he was respectful of my floors, furniture and all three teenage girls stuff in their bathrooms.I could not have asked for a better experience with a company, but more so with a plumber! We were very impressed with Derrick's expertise and professionalism. He not only took the time to show everything to us but he explained all of our options and how the repair was to be made. We had a main water line leak that has been tripling our water bill for the last 2 months and Derrick was able to quickly identify and repair the area. Come to find out it was a huge root from our Oak tree that was the culprit. Derrick dug out an entire section of root and cleared the area from further growth. This young man has a very promising future. Beginning with Customer Service Dept. that promptly, courteously, and patiently handled our distressed calls and ending with the sevices provided, Ben Franklin Plumbing has definately become out go to Plumbers!

We had a leaking water heater and needed it to be replaced. He arrived timely and replaced the water heater for $1,653 after a $92 rebate!! Rather expensive. For that amount of money, you would think he would leave with everything cleaned up. When he disconnected the water heater he had not turned off the water and water sprayed everywhere, knocking off the finish from the garage ceiling in several places above the water heater. Obviously the water created a huge puddle which surprisingly was still there after he left which we had to sweep out of the garage. Also, he forgot to replace the water meter cover before he left. The bottom line is that the job was really expensive and he was careless, messy and forgetful. I'm sure I'll have to repair the garage ceiling too.

We where looking to have an outside faucet installed on the side of our house. Scott was our plumber, when he came out we explained that we eventually wanted to have water treatment install. He explained everything about water treatment and answered all our questions about it. When we asked for some time to think about it he was not persistant or pushy in getting an answer right them as others had been in the past. He gave the upfront price and walked us through the entire process. We decided to take the plung and called Scott letting him know. Again when we came out we walked us through everything again and answered all our questions even helped out with tips about a remodel we are doing ourselves. He installed a water treatment system and a new hot water heater. Took him about 5-6 hour but mostly due to weather. Everything looks great, I checked all the seals from the pipes he installed and he sealed them up great. Our water is not soft and we are very pleased with the products and service Scott provided. We saved his number for future plumbing needs and will be requesting him in the future. Thank you!

Trouble shooting shower pressure and toilet repeating were done as well as expected.I had called BF out to check low water pressure in shower and the smell of sewage coming from toilet. I also wanted the plumbing checked out under the mobile home to see if it was up to code. My issues with Michael at BF:* He removed a couple of bricks to check plumbing in crawl space. Could not have possibly seen if everything was up to code. He did not go under to check*He insisted that what I was smelling in the bathroom was sulfur water. (while yrying to tell me I needed a $7,000 water system installed to remove the sulfur smell). Having been brought up with sulfur water, I kept telling him no. . .that it was sewage smell and that the toilet needed to be pulled to see what was going on. After finally pulling the toilet, he took a few photos to show me how the wax on one side was bad and that there was, in fact, a leal. I ask him to send me the photos, and 24 hours later, I still have not received them so I cannot show a handyman what needs to be done to level the toilet. Called a couple of hours ago requesting photos be texted to me and have not received them.Michael talked with me about an annual program that costs $100 per year which covers one complete inspection of everything plumbing. I asked him if he would just go ahead and do it right then and he said no, strongly suggesting I wait until something goe wrong first. One of the reasons I called them out there was to do an initial inspection of the plumbing before I moved in. This did not get done even tho I paid an extra $100 to have it done. I had told him the reason I wanted the inspection done was to see if the plumbing was up to code, and to bring it up to code if it isn't',, before I move in. Again, this was not done even with my second request and the extra $100.Michae spent alot of time calling his supervisor and seemed more interested in selling me a water system that was not needed instead of focusing on what I specifically wanted or needed.Again, he did find the showerhead clogged - that being the reason for the low water pressure. And he did pull and reset the toilet, taking pictures of where the leak was.BUT, I have not received the pictures to pursue fixing where the leak is, and what work needs to be done to clean where it leaked.AND, I did not get the complete plumbing inspection to see if everything was up to code, even tho Ibpaid an extra $100.AND, he was more interested in selling me a water system I simply did not need to fix the sulfur smell I did not have.It pains me to have to write such a review because he did unclog the showerhead and pull and repeat the toilet.

My experience today w/ both Scott Blackburn and Mark Kampman was a big 5 all around. They were on time, solved and fixed my plumbing problem and all the while explaining to me what they were doing and answered all my questions. Stay away!! Their pricing is way out of line. More than three times what a local plumber will charge to do a job. Had the person on the phone been able to give a rough idea of what the cost could be I would not have even had them come out. However this is not the case with the company. So lesson learned the hard way on my part. Just in case you would like to know how much a kitchen sink install will cost. They will charge $974.00 after the discounts.

When my hot water heater died, I called numerous places for estimates and when they would be available. Ben Franklin Plumbing said they could replace it that day and gave me a quote that, while not the lowest, was reasonable. The plumber that came put covers over his shoes so he wouldn't track in dirt. He worked swiftly and also showed us some areas that were about to become problems that he then fixed as well. When he left, everything was as clean as it was before he arrived. To get speedy, professional plumbers that will clean up behind themselves at a reasonable price...well thats just perfect to me. I took out a yearly maintenance program with them, and they came out to check everything plumbing. They have my business, and if you like what I said, then they will have yours as well.

I had 2 toilets broken on a weekend. I called Ben Franklin Plumbing to schedule a Monday morning appointment & was blocked in from the 8am to noon time slot. Daniel called me at 7:30am Monday morning & asked if okay to come before 8am. I was stunned & very pleased. Daniel asked to see the 2 broken toilets, invited me to stay with him as he assessed the damage, & explained what was wrong with each toilet, what the repair options were, & the costs. He let me decide what I wanted, answering all my questions, & not pressuring me on any decision. The best part, which separates Been Franklin Plumbing from many other plumbers, is their repair vehicles are larger Sprinter trucks instead of vans, & can hold many more parts & supplies. Daniel had a complete new toilet for one replacement, & a tank & new toilet seat for another replacement, all in his truck. No waiting for him to go back to the warehouse & come back 2 hours later for the repair job. Daniel assessed the damages, got me repair price quotes, did all the necessary repairs, cleaned up after himself, & processed my invoice, & was out the door at 10:30am. What I thought might take half a day or longer, was done in 2 & 1/2 hours efficiently, effectively, courteously, & correctly by Daniel & Ben Franklin Plumbing. I have used other plumbing companies before in the Tampa area, & they were fine, but none could match the superb customer service & timely work done by Ben Franklin Plumbing.Update: 8/15/2022: I came home on a Sunday evening to a broken mini water heater under my kitchen sink. I turned off the valves, cleaned up the flood in the kitchen & called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. I was told they would send someone Monday morning. Dave & his assistant called when 20 minutes away, arrived on time, quickly assessed all the damage, my repair options, the costs, & after receiving my approval, did all the required repairs. He explained everything he was doing step by step, was patient with me, courteous, & professional, as was his assistant. Job completed, bone dry under the kitchen sink, & I am one pleased customer. Plus I got my discount for being on the Benjamin Franklin Plumbing maintenance program, which is a nominal monthly fee, for great discounts when big & costly plumbing repairs needed. Plumber cleaned out my drain but didn't fix the issue that caused the problem. I have a tree root that has broken through the drain line. I needed an estimate for an insurance claim that itemized the tear out, parts and labor. I was promised the estimate by the plumber 3 different times. Then I was promised by their answering service 3 different times. Didn't get the estimate and now my issue has returned.

Water wasn't coming out of kitchen faucet at the rental house we're living in. Only the sprayer was working. Scott ending up putting a new faucet in and changing the pipes underneath the sink. Everything is working perfectly now!!!

We were quoted $79 for the service call and were told that it would be taken off if any service was performed. The technician, Brandon K. argued with me about this and I had to convince him to remove the $79. He said that their call center sometimes says things that they don’t do. We “needed” our tub faucet replaced and it was very expensive! Brandon didn’t seem to know what he was doing and I found out (from him) that the problem could’ve possibly been fixed by pressing a button on our showerhead, which I didn’t know about (shame on us!). I’m very unhappy with the service and he was also unprofessional. I also received a text to take a survey before he arrived and that said that I would receive 5% off. I also asked him about that and he couldn’t do it. He said that there was no way. This company needs to get their act together! I will definitely not be giving them my business anymore. I had to pay $193 for something that might not have needed to be done. Very unhappy!

Last year I had a clog in my sync, I called an individual and he promised to help. Two service calls and $400 later I still had the same problem. Benjamin Plumbers came out and fixed all my problems in one day. It was not cheap but it was also not to expensive. I recommend Benjamin Plumbers, the guy that came out was supervisor and was good and very professional.

But the service was WAY overpriced for what was done.Update:Just to make it clear, for any potential customers who read this review: Benjamin Franklin never had a manager reach out to me, as they promised nearly a week ago. There was no hot water in the house, so I called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. The plumber determined the circuit breaker had popped and turned the circuit breaker back on to the water heater and my dryer. The plumber was very pleasant and willing to see what was wrong even though it didn't entail fixing anything.

This company caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to our home as well as disruppted our lives for months. We were due a refund check but was told we had to sign a form before we could get our check. This paper would prevent us from telling anyone about our issues and how they handled us. This releases them from anymore responsibilities - pretty much a shut up form. We have refused to sign, it’s been months now with no reimbursement. So now we will tell our story. Unethical - DO NOT USE This Company. We will now contact consumer affairs as well as our lawyer, etc.

Called to have a toilet supply line replaced after it burst and flooded my home. Erick came and replaced the supply line but was more interested in selling me an expensive water filter. Several days later after the water damage team removed their fans, I went to use the toilet and found that the tank was dry and not filling even though the shut off valve was open. I called Ben Frnklin and was told nobody was available to check it for two days. When I stated that this was not acceptable and asked to speak to the Supervisor I was told Ralph would call me back. He never did but Erick showed up late the next day without calling. Not wanting to wait two days, I decided to fix it myself. I flushed the new supply line and black debris came out. I reconnected the line and it now works fine. If Erick had taken the time to flush the toilet and make sure it worked the situation could have been avoided. It lists Plumbing Engineer on Ericks card. I am not sure what that means. There was no license number. Ben Franklin representatives need to worry more about fixing the plumbing problem and less about trying to sell expensive additional products. He assisted us in finding a restoration company to fix water damage & stayed to help us get things set up with the insurance and restoration company. My mother's toilet started to run on Saturday. We called Benjamin Franklin to come out cuz I thought they'd be a reliable company and there was a $79 service fee, they tried to sneak in a $12 gas fee which I actually had to call the company to have removed because that was not quoted to us, meaning that they are basic service fee would have been $91 and not 79, they attempted to upsell my mother on a maintenance plan for $99 a year and a 15% discount for any repairs, wanted to do a safety inspection which is basically another way for them to find things to fix, if you will, and then told her that it would cost her nearly $500 to replace the innards of her toilet and then they claimed that her emergency valve was also leaking.Beware of scams.So I felt terrible because she still had to spend the $79 for the fee.

Scott is a great plumber! This was the 1st visit to my residence, he arrived on time and was very courteous and professional. He drained my heater and replaced the inner rod. He also checked my Harmony system and reset it. This was a very thorough maintenance. I hope he continues to do my plumbing maintenance in the future.

Had an emergency with all water in the house shut off....old house built in 1947 with galvanized pipe and one outside shutoff valve. Called 5 plumbers. Ben Franklin Company only one who answered phone. Girl at call center was very helpful and thorough. Kelly Stufflebean showed up within the allotted time frame. He was clean, neat, polite, courteous and very knowledgeable. He is a master plumber with over 20 years experience. We discussed what I wanted done. He made some very cogent recommendations which I had not thought about. He investigated the issue and provided a written estimate outlining all costs. Nothing hidden here. He then spent three hours in the crawl space under my house at night and fixed the problem. He was at the end of a long day (8PM) when he started. No drama, no problems. He is a real professional. His work is clean, proper (I know something about plumbing), correct and he did not rush through it regardless of the late hour. His work truck has more plumbing parts that some plumbing stores I have seen. He is simply the best and I highly recommend him and Ben Franklin Plumbing to everyone.

We had the technician come back today, as they were unable to complete the job ok on Friday.The tech on Friday was completely unaware of what to do, we were reading the instructions and guiding him.He was unable to get the grill working.We looked at the grill after they left and realized the main. Part was put in backwards.We advised the technician of that upon arrival this am, he looked and realized we were correct.Very disappointing. Not to mention the exorbitant cost!We will not recommend!

Thanks to Erick and Bryan I was able to solve a 7year mystery. I thought I had a plumbing problem in my kitchen. But, Erick and Bryan was able to determine that it was an Air Conditioning issue. They efficiently and effectively handled the other plumbing concerns in my house. So a couple weeks ago our water line that leads into the house broke from one of our oak trees out front and we had no water. so we gave them a call and we knew exactly where and what the problem was, which was a 90 degree angle pvc pipe thats cost roughly 1 dollar at home depot but we couldnt do the job cause there was one root in the way that caused the problem that needed to be cut out and we didnt have a saw, nor go buy one(should have done). so they came found the problem exactly as we said and quoted us 1300$ and we where outraged considering we did most of the work dug the hole and literally all they had to do was replace the pipe and cut the root out takes maybe an hour cost 5 bucks to do. And then they said 2300$ to reroute the pipe which was a 3 hour job they said and we basically told them bye. Called anytime plumbing did it for 100$ and done in 30min plus ben told us couldn't do it today so we would be out of water for another night. But they saw an opportunity here to gorge someone cause we did not have running water at the time and thought they could get away with it, so very un-pleased with the service.

Erick has been on two of my service calls. Both excellent service and politeness, and keeping things neat and me informed every step of the way. Appointment was on time and extra services ordered when he arrived. Very happy and will continue to use Erick and Benjamin Plumbing.

Much too expensive. I did not use them. Just paid for the service call. Over $400 just to replace a shower cartridge. I know sometimes they can be tricky, but for that price I will do it myself

The person doing the service and pricing was fine. The companies prices were outrageous!!! replacing a water heater was about 2268. Also, asked about replacing a faucet and the cost was about 757.00 to 1000...what a joke!!!!

Very pushy service. A plumber came out to give us a free estimate on a water heater replacement and installation and the plumber would not leave. We always seek at least three opinions before making a big purchase. In the end, Franklin's price was at least $500 more than what we decided on with another company. A price that the plumber Clay said would be impossible!

Kyle was very prompt and did an amazing job finding our problem. We had a slab leak (small pipe leak under the house) in our master closet. He repaired the pipe (had to jackhammer the flooring to fix the leak) and filled the space in adequate time. I am very impressed with his service and would recommend and use him again. I am very glad this problem is fixed.

They didn't repair the leak properly the first time. I called them back out. The technician spotted another problem, he could have seen the first time. They quoted another repair, I declined. They dropped the price 200 immediately and I still declined. The whole process just felt more like a sales call than a service/repair call.

Jose explained that I was misinformed but he could get them. I told him no I will try to figure this all out and he said, please sir give me the opportunity to make this right for you. After hearing this I knew he was an employee that cared. He could have said ok and went home early on a Saturday but he insisted on helping me. I was so pleased by his professionalism, the way he wanred to help me and never gave up that I bought 2 new facets as well.Thanks again Jose. I appreciate you as an employee. Erick, of Ben Franklin plumbing, quickly found source of gas leak & worked diligently in replacing the tankless water heater with the issue. He also came back the next day to install water softener that will help extend life of softener and other appliances. He took great pride in his work, making sure job was done well.Update: couple weeks later smell of gas returned. Called out TECO and they found real source of gas leak, cracked underground gas line. Thousands of dollars I spent to replace hot water heater was unnecessary. Called Ben Franklin out again, showed up hours late, they gave me riduculous $2700 estimate for new gas line & no compensation for late to this appt or thousands spent on water heater replacement. Found new plumber, won't use Ben Franklin again.

2 year old toilet was bolted loosely and rocked when sat upon so I had BenFranklin tech re-install it.

I had an appointment from 2-6. I got a text from dispatch saying they would be sending a tech shortly at 230. After several phone calls a plumber did show up....at 650pm.... Said plumber did 2 things, both of which I had the tools to do, then said he couldn't fix it that night but heres my bill for $485. When I brought up BFs late policy, he threatened to drop any and all discounts i had on the bill and told me I'd have to take it up with dispatch. I'll be using anyone else for my plumbing services from now on.

They cut holes in my walls where I did not authorize them to cut. They said they would go through the closet but then cut wherever they felt like and just put a giant plastic white square to cover the hole. Who cuts holes in someone's walls without asking them first?! Also now one of my bath tubs only works on the cold water side (not helpful when you want a nice, HOT bath). I would never recommend them or use them again in the future.

Gary is the most amazing and detail oriented plumber we have ever encountered. He is a real gem!! We should rename the company the family friendly plumber. He is patient and so engaging that all 4 of the kids in my house just want to watch him while he works. Service is perfect and he's always on time and ready to get the job done right!

This company had fairly expensive rates. They quoted $1,000 and said it was going to take 6-8 hours to fix my toilet when another company (that I contracted using the Better Business Bureau website) quoted me $250. The other company did a fantastic job and were here for about an hour. I suggest using someone else.

The service and knowledge of the Ben Franklin Plumbing technician, Craig Bretz was timely and if high quality. The tech was very knowledgeable and took time to listen to my concerns.

$582 for a 20 minute job. Normally for such a simple 10 minute job I would replace the valve myself. Its extremely simple and easy. But when I did try, the valve was stuck because of mineral deposits so I broke it. I had no water in the house so I used emergency same day service. Bottom line I was charged $582 for a job where they spend about 60 minutes at my house. 20 minutes to prepare a quote, 30 minute repair, 10 minutes documentation. That's about $10 a minute. They charge $139 for an emergency service call but did no apply that charge to the work, it was just to come out and give an estimate. Then they charged $443 more for the simple repair installing a $25 part. If my water was not off and being late in the day I would never have used them. I called around today to five different plumbers they all told me about between $90-$125 plus a service fee. While the job was done they gouged us. $582 - email me and I will send you a copy of the invoice. NEVER USE THEMUPDATE 5/21/2021 - The company refunded $200 and I signed a document that I was to post an update to this review that there was a satisfactory Resolution and that I would never use their service again. I received the refund so I only paid $382 for this job. I was surprised they offered a refund

5 stars is not a high enough rating for Steven G. and Ben Franklin plumbing. Steven exceeded my expectations and is by far the best plumbing professional I have ever encountered. He fixed issues that several other companies couldn't, and went over and above to ensure my plumbing problems were corrected the right way. I will only use Ben Franklin in the future, and can confidently recommended to anyone who needs professional quality service for their plumbing needs. In addition to Ben Franklin's performance their pricing was very reasonable, and I was walked through the work order line by line...price by price. I was completely blown away with the job Steven G. It is always a pleasure to see Eddy. He is very professional and take his work seriously while educating the customer on certain home maintenance items. He recently came out to our house in February and unclogged a drain but saw our water meter spinning and said you have a leak somewhere. Two other reps from a lead detection company in the area said there was not one, but Eddy found it. We were denied insurance coverage at first until Eddy found it, no we are covered for the damages to our house. We owe the world to Eddy and his expertise. Ben Franklin Plumbing should be glad they have him on the team.

I've used them in both my homes because of their straight forward process and customer service from the techs. Even if there's a problem, they work hard to make it right for the customer.

I Recommended this company too two of my customers and they price gauged both of them. One customer ,they wanted $700 when they originally did another customers house for the same job at $400. My customer had them leave and someone came to do the service for $153 instead of $700. Would never recommend them to anyone again. Save your time and money.

They were professional and on time but the prices were way over priced. I was quoted 5K to install a 1400 water heater. That math just didn't add up so we went else where and paid less then half for the same quality of service.

Carlos and Fabian appear to make a great team. They communicated well with me and diagnosed and repaired the problem. I accidentally let a shammy slide down the toilet with emptying the dirty water. They were able locate the shammy and pull it out. I will call them again for any plumbing issues as well as the install of any new plumbing needed.

I called Benjamin Franklin plumbing late last night when our water heater had its last run. They immediately put us on the schedule for the following morning, and our representative David was able to show up four hours earlier than planned and couldn’t have been nicer/more personable. We were able to purchase a new tankless water heater and get it installed the same afternoon. We couldn’t be happier with all aspects of the service. Would highly recommend Benjamin Franklin to anyone needing water heating, plumbing, or any of the other services they provide. We will be using them going forward from now on!

I am changing my review rating that was posted previously. Honestly, the work was excellent and the plumber explained the issue and presented options. All of the work was excellent . The issues that were encountered stemmed from the back office support and not the plumber.

I CALLED, THEY CAME AT THE APPOINTED TIME, INSTALLED THE NEW HOT WATER HEATER IN AROUND 3 HOURS. CLEANED AND TOOK EVERYTHING AWAY. DAN WAS VERY PLEASANT. MY DAD, WHO IS AN ENGINEER, SAID IT WAS THE BEST JOB HE HAD EVER SEEN. IT'S REALLY HARD TO IMPRESS MY DAD.

I had an emergency when my hot water tank was leaking bad. I googled and found bf. They got a tech out immediately. He fixed it and it was only $76. I was impressed how quick and professional he was. I will definitely call them again.

I am leaving this review for a different reason to show the quality of people working at this office and to express my gratitude. On Thursday, last week, I was in a car accident during the storm and was ran off the road by a large truck and my car became a boat. Due to the rain and flooding and being forced off the road, my car hit a pole and then stalled. my car then started filling with water and I was sitting in water up to`my waist. It was very scary. No one offered any help. It was pouring out and I did not know what to do. Two employees from this company were driving by and stopped to help. They pushed my car 2 blocks to dry land to the Ben Franklin office which was down the road . Once in the parking lot, they had 2 other employees who were on their way home for the day, help us. They removed buckets of water from the car and wet vacuumed the entire car out the best they could. Although the car was a total loss, I am very appreciative I had these gentleman help me. In all the craziness going on in the world and violence, you rarely see a random act of kindness anymore. These gentlemen went above and beyond to help me. Cars can be replaced, people cannot. I feel horrible because they wrote their names down and due to the rain and the car being soaked the paper got wet. I know Thomas and Chaz helped but there were 2 other guys who assisted and unfortunately, I could not make out their names.I had to take a moment and write this. One, they were off work and could have easily left me stranded (like the truck who ran me off the road did) but they took the time to get out of their work van, get soaked, push a car in knee high water to dry land and then stayed with me for over an hour trying to get the car cleaned out. I am in real estate and Corporate Housing, this company will not only get referrals from me to use them but had to give a shout out to these gentleman and thank them... I can only imagine their work ethic is impeccable if this is how they treat a total stranger in need. Thank you again. You are very much appreciated and you have a new customer for life.

Rediculous. First, yes, they did clear the stoppage, and came out between 8am and 12pm as advised; those are the only pro's.Cons= They didn't want to allow me to use a coupon from their own website (which they eventually did but gave me grief over). Their advertisement of We'll clean any drain for $79 any where any time, is a total scam, it has to be between 8am and 5pm, on their schedule *gave me a 7 hour window*, additional call out fee applies ($100 after hours, $50 during business hours. To clear my drain during their normal business hours was $300 for a residential stoppage, 20 feet from the access. Plumber was rude and pushy. To top it all off, he cross threaded the cap to my access so it won't screw in flush like it did before. Should have gone with Billy the Sunshine Plumber!!! I know I will next time!

Please do not call Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. We purchased a hot water heater with a 6 years part warranty back in 2017. The heater needed to be replaced and when we called them out the representative attempted to sell us new hot water heaters even twice even though our unit was still under warranty. And after we said no, please replace our unit, he quoted us $750 labor when we paid $1k for the new unit plus installation in 2017. These folks do not care about their customer, only selling new hot water heaters at a premium.

Wyatt was professional, polite, trustworthy and knowledgeable, I would highly recommended him for anyone who needs a plumber. The next time I need a plumber I will request Wyatt.

Donovan was absolutely amazing and put me at ease. It turned out that I had a larger problem than I originally thought. He spent 2 hours with me going over different options and details and was very patient and thorough. He even spoke over the phone to my husband and father to explain everything as well. The prices quoted were very reasonable for the amount of work that is needing to be done, and the process is going to happen quicker than I could ever imagine. I hope I never need to call them again, but if I need anything plumbing related, I will definitely be using them again and specifically requesting Donovan.

I discovered what I thought was a leaking water heater.Contacted my home warranty co.-and their vendor never contacted me.This turned out to be a blessing!I subsequently contacted Ben Franklin Plumbing knowing I would pay out of pocket-but reviews were good & I needed my issue fixed.Dan Chauvette was the tech that showed up:on time,and with advanced notification fm the company so I could be home from work.Dan immediately noticed it was NOT the water heater and had to do leak detection,which he found quickly and efficiently.It was a leak from old copper piping inside the wall-which dripped into garage where the water heater sits.Dan instilled confidence and displayed exceptional competence and laid out several scenarios for me....ultimately,he repaired the leak--immediately contacted a seperate company to do dry out and restoration as the area has been saturated from the inside out.Aside from the repair;I did also request a water heater replacement due to the age of the 1 that came with the house.All in all---not ANYTHING I expected or bargained for!!!But,I was extremely pleased with the customer service,knowledge and professionalism from Ben Franklin---and Dan.He's an awesome guy-very trustworthy and knows his job.He gave me a card with his cell # which I contacted with pictures and concerns early today.He got right back to me with an easy explanation.I really appreciated that.I honestly don't believe the home warranty company could have sent anyone near as competent.So,while it has been an expensive surprise:I still consider myself fortunate to have run across a company and a technician whom I can rely on in the future.

I have been using Ben Franklin Plumbing for 8 years now on 2 different houses here in the St Pete-Tampa Bay area. Everyone has always been so nice, informative, prompt, friendly & more. Even during extremely difficult situations, they have kindly worked with me to not only resolve the plumbing problems but also to recommend what the best protection plan might be & other helpful hints. This January they repaired a sewer line that had been broken by the pool builder's plumbers & all of the issues arising from that. As a Realtor, I have shared my personal experiences when asked for a local plumber by my buyers and sellers. I, of course, give them the names of several plumbers but many have thanked me later for giving them Ben Franklin Plumbing. My latest heros have been Gary Greenberg & Billy Hamilton. Stay away from these people. CROOKS! Take advantage of the elderly. They were called last August for a toilet that was leaking, did not fix it properly, and when called to come back today, informed my mother that they needed to rebuild the inside of the tank for $300. My husband got there just in the right amount of time to throw them out because we were able to find a toilet, have it ordered an installed with a 3 year warranty, for less than $250. Never call them unless you want to be taken advantage of!

Lisa did an awesome job on a repair that should have been easy but turned out to be a 3 plus hour job. This company is professional, on time, and is skilled at what they do.

We called Ben Franklin about a leaky shower faucet that's been bugging us for weeks. Because our home was built in the 50s, and the leaky fixture is original to the home, we were unsure what kind of fix it would be. Our service person, Steve, arrived shortly after we received our phone call, just as stated and right in the window of time that they said they would be there. There was actually a team of two, and they were exceptionally courteous and neat, even wearing booties when they entered my home(which certainly didn't need them with 2 kids and 2 dogs!:) After introducing themselves, they quickly and very knowledgably assessed the issue and tried several of the parts that they had with them. When those didn't fit, I was given 2 options and a well-laid out plan for each. We have selected to order a replacement piece and will have it installed shortly. I really appreciated the professionalism and the brand/product expertise demonstrated by your company representatives. Looking forward to seeing them again when our part is in!:)

Absolutely disgusted. I would not refer my worst enemy to these crooks. I set up an appointment over the phone because I had an emergency with my main water line leaking. They did not have a tech available that Saturday so they scheduled it first thing Monday morning. I had to head to work so when the tech arrived they called me and told me what I pretty much already knew, the fact that my entire main line had to be replaced. Well DUH! I am not a certified plumber and I even knew that one genius! And then he proceeds to tell me that there is a $70 service charge due at the time of the appointment. First of all this was never disclosed to me. The woman that spoke with me over the phone did not make a mention of any service charge at all. When i confirmed if they accept major credit cards, she then swindled me into thinking that this service charge was more or less a convenience charge to use the credit card. I even reconfirmed this with her and she did NOT correct me at all. Had I have known that there such a charge, I would not have even scheduled the appointment. There are plenty of legit, reputable plumbing companies in the Tampa Bay area that offer free estimates before you make a decision. Too bad that it will not let me post without at least giving them 1 star because to be quite honest, they are not even worthy of that.

Have had a leaking tub faucet for a year or so, finally decided on a Friday to ask for a quote to have it fixed. Kyle came out, gave an assessment, options, and his recommendation. Was able to do the work on the spot, called before arriving, was an excellent person - wish all plumbers and service folks were as great as he was. Benjamin Franklin Plumbing has clearly done a good job in their hiring process. They're also extremely communicative with the service and expectations. Probably slightly more than some of the competition, but investing in all of the right areas it would seem. Any other plumbing issues in the future I'll likely not doubt calling for a quote and or service.

I Loved my experience with them. I wanted to use a coupon and they allowed it I at 1st was unhappy it wasn't any time per say but the coupon did explain if I had read further ( it wasn't in fine print it was right under it clear as day) However they were earlier than expected and very friendly. Hawn was his name and he was beyond patient with my questions and his explanations were thorough. He explained the problem the cost why it was what it was, he made sure not to make a mess (although there already was one). He offered me a maintenance plan and explained why it was a good value in great detail. He also explained why what I was doing to unclog my drain wasn't working. I know the old school stereotypical plumber is not a pleasant picture but he was neat and clean and well put together. his truck looked fully stocked. If and when I need more work done I will be requesting Ben Franklin send him back out. I couldn't have had a better experience and I am really glad I have my shower and toilet back. THANK YOU HAWN YOU WERE AWESOME!!

Adrian Hamilton went above and beyond. He exceeded expectations. Not only did he go above and beyond for his work but he is a great people person and very easy to talk to. Also, the price wasn’t to bad as I was expecting for a big company. If I have issues again I will defiantly use them and specifically ask for Adrian.

The service with Benjamin Franklin is spot on. I called to schedule service and within an they had sent a technician to my house and he was out in less than 15 minutes with my problem solved. All the staff is very friendly from the call center to the technicians. I highly recommend them.

Sean was the plumber that came out. He got the job done even though part of removing the faucet was very hard; as it seemed to be super glued on. Appreciate your hard work Sean. The price which is set by the company; not the worker was a bit pricey. I supplied the faucet and the garbage disposal new from lowes. The price for installation was $570.00. I’m glad it’s done. Glad I picked Benjamin Franklin plumbing. Because the job will last.

Service is spotty at best. While they do respond promptly, the knowledge/experience level of the techs varies greatly. Not even sure if some of them are plumbers! Required many follow-ups and discussions with management. Never did fix the issue.

I know Ben Franklin Plumbing isn't always the cheapest company, but I certainly appreciate the honesty and the extra work each employee puts in to each job. I feel lucky that Dan answered the call and worked hard to get us the best option available and did so many of the little things that add up to mean so much. He wasn't just courteous, but he answered many questions and gave advice, talked about the work he was doing, accommodated requests...he was friendly and comforting in his approach when I'm sure we were stressed out. I highly recommend Dan and BFP for plumbing services.

I have been involved with the land development , design & construction industry in Hillsborough county for over 25 years. I have worked directly with residents, elected officials and a myriad of national and regional contractors, plumbers, electricians, engineers etc. I have not experienced a construction industry professional this subpar (price gouging, misinformation, and consumer intimidation from the sales representative) in sometime. Avoid this business at all costs. I rejected thier proposed service and I will also be looking into the feasibility of filing an official complaint using some form of municipal public recording (BBB,DBPR,etc.).

Once Dave was on site, he was able to diagnosis my problem with in minutes. He promptly reviewed my options and provided the most economic solution. Over all I am completely satisfied with Ben Franklin Plumbing. Dave worked quickly and efficiently Thanks Dave.

My service tech was a very nice guy. Very professional. The company on the other hand is not good at all. They are extremely overpriced. Charged me $413 to run a snake thru my main sewer line. That is twice the amount other companies charge. Their ad says 24/7 service, but I had to wait 2 days for someone to come snake my pipes. So I had no kitchen sink or bathroom for 2 days. Will never call them again

Flawless and Perfect installation. Both gentleman were informative, clear and concise with the installation and procedures that would be completed. Customer for life made.

Plumbing Tech Erick Young did a great job! He explained everything to me, gave me options, and was very honest/trustworthy. I highly recommend him. I was also very well pleased with Mario, the supervisor.

I have a paver patio that was flooding into my porch and creeping to my home door. I called Ben Franklin after seeing the reviews. They promptly sent a salesman out to go over the layout and price ($3,300). After we agreed on what needed to be done, we were excited to move forward. I asked when it will be done, he said next day installation. We were promised 15' of channel drains with screen to stop debris from clogging the drains, we only have 12' of channel drain. We were also told that there would be 20'-30' of drainpipe. Not the case, after getting home I noticed they only used ONE piece of PVC with no cap that was cut to 7'. Also, the drains were installed in different spots than the designer said and no debris screen. I put a garden hose on them, and it backed up within 5 min. I called soon after, it took almost three weeks for someone to come out look at it. All the while my pavers are torn up with dirt and mud everywhere, because we couldn't re-install until drains were fixed. A man came out and said himself This is the worst install I have ever seen, we apologize. After yet another week of waiting, the installers came back out. Once again, NO debris screen. On this go around the put on a popup valve, instead of an uncapped 7' piece of pipe. After the first heavy rain it didn't even come close to keeping up. The popup is level with the pavers, and the drains are run to a visibly high spot, 20' from a visibly low spot. I had to hire someone to come out and relay the pavers. I now have to hire someone to dig out, hook in and run the drain lower and to have the debris screen installed. For $3,300 I expected a lot more. Bottom line, within two days I had a salesman and a bad install done, call to see if they can make it right, nothing but crickets. They were scheduled to be out for a third time and never even showed up. I'll take a refund of some of the $3,300 for the staining and flooding of my capret.

Same day service was available Clayton was extremely knowledgeable and fixed our plumbing issue quickly. He also checked another concern we had with the shower drain. He let us know it was good to go and didn't need service. Thank you for being honest and not selling us a service we didn't need. You are awesome!

Long-time $96/yr service contract, needed a water softener fixed or replaced, only offered a $7,000 option(!) Went elsewhere of course and replaced for $579. When I complained, I was told I was offered a second option as well. True - also $7,000! Awful.

Ryan came out same day to help with our plumbing needs right away. . A little pricey, but will continue to use.

I had a plumbing service inspection on 9/17/14 with Jose. It was a great experience! Jose was totally professional and took his time to explain all his findings! I am so glad I chose Ben Franklin Plumbing of Tampa!

Jose arrived at our residence on time and with a smile. He immediately wanted to know about the problem we were having with our kitchen drain. Once we explained what was happening, he began accessing the problem. Through the entire process, Jose kept us advised as to what he was doing, which was very educational for us as home owners. When he completed his assessment, he then informed us of the problem and what options we had to resolve the problem. We have been Ben Franklin customers for approximately 9 years, and I want to say Jose has been the most informative and customer oriented technicians we have had thus far. When we finally made a decision as to what we wanted to do to resolve the problem, Jose advised us he would have the problem resolved by the end of the day, and he kept his word. During the repair, it started to really rain hard, but Jose advised us not to worry, the job would be completed as promised. I've used this company for some estimate and work a few times. Every time they are professional, not pushy salesmen, and just great to work with. Their phone service is also prompt. I appreciate all the little things they do to make the entire experience as seamless as possible. I will admit that the prices for work are high but i also understand that plumbing work is not easy, sometimes disgusting, and can be complicated sometimes. Jordan was my guy today and him and his team were great. I'll keep using BFP for all service in the future. Thanks guys.

The Service technician tried to charge $320 + a $69 service charge to snake a drain. I refused to pay such a ridiculously high price for a relatively simple service. The technician then tried to negotiate prices and waive the service charge, but the prices that he was suggesting were still ridiculous. I was able to fix the issue myself with an $18 Snake/Auger tool in about 30 minutes.Definitely get a second quote when dealing with this company or avoid using their services altogether.***In response to the owner's comment -Neither myself or anyone in the house at the time were notified of or witnessed any camera inspection of the drain.Also, I understand that negotiating price might be a part of doing business, but during our negotiation the price varied from $390 to $260, which is still much higher than the industry standard. If I had not tried to negotiate your company would have charged significantly more than what you know the service is worth, which is part of the reason I decided not to use your company's services that day..My point is that if I had less knowledge of the issue and didn't try to negotiate, then your company would absolutely have taken advantage of the situation to the tune of a few hundred dollars.

Wow, I am completely blown away by this experience I had today with a Benjamin Franklin plumber named Stephen McCann. I sincerely have never come across a class act like this gentleman. Professionalism like nothing I’ve ever seen, yet personable, friendly, and knowledgeable. There are stars and then there are ROCK STARS! Stephen McCann is an absolute ROCK STAR! $800 dollars of an unexpected expense and I feel like my toilet was meant to break today. It takes a truly special plumber to get someone to say that after an $800 dollar gut punch! Lol.Stephen McCann is a one in a million!Thank you

The technician stopped all leaking pipes under my sink and opened the kitchen drain. He was very punctual and professional.

We called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing on a Saturday for a service call. They charged us the $139 call fee, then almost immediately called us back to tell us they did not have a slot open for us, and the soonest they could come would be Monday. We told them we couldn't wait, and were told they would refund the charge, that it would be back in our account in 3-5 buisness days. This was on the 1st of January. It is now the 11th and we still have not recieved our money back. We called our bank, and they have not recieved a refund. We called Ben Franklin back, to be told our refund got held up and would take probably until the end of the week. This is unacceptable! We're struggling right now, like many people are, and they're taking their sweet time with our money, when they cancelled on us! How is this any way to conduct business? It's unprofessional. I would definitely recommend NOT using this company.

Scott B. and his trainee were totally awesome. They were prompt and courteous. Explained everything in detail. Cleared our drain right out and gave tips to keep it from happening again. I have worked as a training coordinator and of course been a trainee in the past and Scott was great with his trainee. He took his time and gave him a chance to do things on his own without rushing him or acting like it was an inconvenience having him. I was very impressed overall hopefully I won't need to call them ever again but if I do I hope to have Scott be my tech!

Thank God for Randy and a properly stocked plumbing truck. Our pipes were totally plugged and backing up everywhere. We also had the county out to locate the clean out plug thinking that they were the cause of the issue. Randy was patient, personable, very knowledgeable and kept at the issue for hours in a hot sun. He took the time to show us the camera work, explain what we were seeing. I would highly recommend Randy and Ben Franklin to others. They may charge more than your local guy but they do complete the job.

BF had installed a new water heater end of 2019. Shower upstairs was not getting hot enough so wasn’t sure it was the water heater.It turned out the valves on both shower faucets required an adjustment. Finally.....a true hot shower is in my future!!!Thank you Steven and Lisa!!!!

We purchased a house in August and with it came and already installed water softener system. I noticed after the first couple months that the salt level was not going down, so I suspected that there was a problem. I called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, and they sent out Steven G. Steven G went over the whole system for me and showed me how to use it. He also quickly detected the problem with the system I was able to get it fixed within a short amount of time I had before I leave the house. He even went a step farther and run a maintenance check up on my water heater. I was really pleased with my service and with Steven G.

Adrian Hamilton was excellent. He performed a full maintenance process throughout the home. Checked all the plumbing and corrected any issues, even those I did not know were present. He was very thorough, very polite, and professional. I will most definitively request these services again.

Steve arrived right on time, patiently allowed me to describe my plumbing issues, and provided me with several options for the problem’s resolution. Although I was unable to decide the path I want to take, at this time, he emailed me the quotes, so I have time to more closely review my options. Very nice young man. No stress, no pressure. Very personable and informative.

Steve was very professional and detailed. He went over my problem explaining what happened and the process to correct it. He offered the solution right away and took the time to find the correct parts needed. He came back the next morning to make the repairs and was very thorough cleaning up after himself. It didn’t take him any time at all to get me back operational. I hurt my back and couldn’t keep my curious puppy from pestering but he was very patient with him and I really appreciated that.

Unfortunately I still have the problems that I wanted resolved. I plan on buying an entire Lt new faucet and replace the existing one. As for my shower valve I got new handle components in today . When I get all in then I will call back to get the job finished.

We asked this company to come out and evaluate a leaking toilet in a tenant occupied unit, they proceeded to look at the toilet, but then walk around with the unit and suggest other repairs, all within ear shot of the tenant. We did not ask for an evaluation of the hot water tank, or other plumbing in the unit. This company may be great for home owners, but they are not well versed in working with rental units.

we paid $300 for a major rebuild of our toilet and have had several problems since then. Their guaranty deal requires that you get a no time frame appointment when setting up service (as opposed to getting a time window for when to expect them), so you have to wait all day long to hopefully get your service call (today they didn't make it). I would not recommend this firm.

I was very satisfied with the service provided by Eddie Harris today. My toilets were clogged and he quickly unclogged it for me and showed me the pictures of my pipes. Unfortunately 29ft of my sewer line needs to be replaced, but he told me how I could get 15% off which is a huge help. None the less, my toilets are now working again, yay! And no more baby wipes will be flushed, ever again!!!

Great technician!My reason for scheduling and paying for a same day appointment was because I needed an answer to a question about a water softener/filtration system Ben Franklin installed in July of 2016. I called 3 times over a 10 day period and was promised a call back in 24 hours, same day and then 24-48 hours. I've been a Ben Franklin customer for years. May have to rethink that. Poor customer service.

Ben Franklin is pretty pricy. They charged us over $600 to change two shower valves. The work took less than 30 minutes. That said when they arrived the work was done correctly and Kyle was knowledgeable and personable. He also wore gloves and booties over his shoes.

I had an emergency call on January 8, 2015. At 7:30pm Jose Ruiz showed up. We had no drainage service at all in our home. Jose deducted we had a clog. Jose tirelessly snaked all vent and drain lines inside and outside of our home. He worked until 11:30pm. Unknown to us, our previous septic tank cleaning (Aug 13, 2014) was not done correctly. This was discovered by Jose. He assisted us with digging up our 2 septic tanks. He dug in the dark by flashlight on a cold Florida night. The septic problem was in no way the responsibility of Benjamin Franklin. Jose went above and beyond his responsibility. I will continue to use Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. Have been using Benjamin Franklin Plumbing for the past 3+ years and have always been very pleased with ease of scheduling appointments and promptness of Service Pros. Today I had the annual water heater PM performed and Aaron was courteous, professional, and efficient. He also checked my house carbon filter, water softener, all faucets and drains to make sure there were no issues. Aaron explained the benefits of the carbon filter and water softener and made sure to answer any questions I had. He found a leak on one of my exterior spigots and promptly entered a claim and received an immediate approval to replace it. Aaron left all work areas clean, and made sure i was pleased with all work performed.

I've thought about this since 9/20/22 installation and come to the conclusion I got rip off. I have a contract with awhr (america water heater rental) gas water heater and Benjamin Franklin plumbing replace it free of charge because they do work for awhr. Was told that to bring it up to code I had to install an expansion tank and it would cost $367 which was not covered under my contract with awhr, I had it done but not a satisfied customer with Ben Franklin because after during research on expansion tanks the price is no where close to what you charge.

It was only a year old and showed me the importance of having it cleaned yearly when mine was full of calcium deposits that were visibly noticeable when the water ran into the street. Called and came out next day to give me an estimate. I told them on the phone wasn't looking to spend a whole lot of money(not over 1k). I just need a standpipe and hot/cold line ran for a washer. Thinking maybe $500 job on the high end as the bathroom is right next to the place for the washer. Was told I can't use the existing drain lines and that a new one would need to be ran for 2k then tried to up sale me on some expensive water treatment. They were very pushy about setting up a fallow up call even though I told them I would call them if I change my mind. I had to repeat this 5 times before they got the clear message. I had gotten a second opinion from a different company who doing the job that I asked for 400 with out the cost of running a whole new drain line when the existing drain lines will do fine.

As a club member we are entitled to a yearly inspection of our plumbing. In the first part of September, Matt along with Jose, a new employee he was training, came to do my inspection. They checked out everything and gave me a detailed list of fixes. They recommended that our upstairs water heater be replaced due to its age and visible rust at the bottom. I told them that we were planning on remodeling the bathroom and at present do not use the shower. They usually do a flush, but we decided to forgo that since the water heater was not being used at present and we didn't want to create a problem. They did replace the disposal in the kitchen which was leaking. They were cordial and funny and I felt quite at ease with them in our home.

The service man was competent, but the main leak that I needed repair (and that I had sent a picture of to the company), they could not repair, because it was part of the sprinkler system. Wish I had known that ahead of time.

I just wanted to tell you that I am extremely satisfied with the work performed by your employee Ronald.I had a very bad experience with another plumbing company the day before concerning a very bad backup in my downstairs bathroom...let's just say they wear caps and they didn't get the job. That person insisted that I needed a whole new main sewer line drain. I knew he was wrong because I had the county come out about a 1.5 years ago to scope my main sewer line and they said it was old but still in good shape. I explained to Ronald about my bad experience the day before and he said with extreme confidence that he can fix my clog. He did have to pull the toilet to snake the line with the big cannon snake but he got the clog cleared. It took him a few hrs but he showed that clog who's boss. He also confirmed to me what the county had said, that the main sewer line was still in decent shape for it's age. When he left, the bathroom looked cleaner than before he got there. I will definitely recommend Ronald and Benjamin Franklin plumbing to anybody. Great job Ronald!

Steve came to check maintenance on my plumbing. I first received a call from office letting me know that Steve was on his way. I received 2 texts and 1 email introducing Steve with a photo and his experience. I appreciate that because I then knew who I was opening the door to. Steve had both his mask and gloves and footies for his shoes. I automatically felt comfortable with his knowledge and professionalism. We walked through the house together as he inspected, adjusted and instructed me. Steve was not rushed and spent a good deal of time inspecting and explaining to me. The U shaped pipe under my sink had rusted through. The plumber came out and he was exceptionally courteous and professional. The job required removing 2 screw/ washer type rings and replacing the trap then tightening the connectors., I had the parts there. I was in my dress clothes so I called them. $68 to come out, $380.00 to fix it. I'm 61 years old and I did it my self in about 20 min, because the screw things were tight. do it your self or learn on You tube.

Dan came over yesterday to do the yearly inspection and drain the tank. The tank is 11 years old and had started to leak around the valve and had corrosion around the bottom. We looked inside with his tv probe and the inside reflected the tanks age. I said we needed a new one and within two hours he had coordinated with the office, the installation team had arrived, the new tank was in place and everything was cleaned up and done. The people involved were all super nice and very professional. We've been using Ben Franklin for two years now and are eminently satisfied.

They got here on time. However, they replaced a shower valve in my wife's bathroom. It does not leak now, but she cannot move the shower valve now. She has to shower in another bathroom. Yes, it is fixed, but not usable. With the amount charged I would never call them again.

We had a problem with sewage backing up in to one of our bathrooms, both tub and toilet. We were able to contact them on a Sunday to schedule an appointment for the next day. The plumber who came out was Eddy Rodriguez, and he was very professional and pleasant. He located where he thought the blockage was, and showed me where the clean out pipe was located out in front of my house. He was also diligent in wearing shoe covers so as not to track dirt in my house, and cleaned up any mess made from the cleaning. The price was very reasonable, and I could not be any happier with their service. Eddy was just terrific!

The material used in my estimation cost about ten to fifteen dollars and the time to do the job is about eighty five minutes. Not worth $400.00. I think the cost should be no more than $250.00. Ben Franklin plumbing is my go to service for all my plumbing needs, I call and they respond. My latest call for help resulted in a quick and professional response. Their technician Nestor, was able to quickly assess the problem, explain what was required to remedy the issue, and completed the repair in a timely manner. I found Nestor to be a very competent plumber, it was obvious he takes pride in his work. We are very pleased with the results of the repair, as well equally pleased with their technician, Nestor. The job was done professionally, quickly, and work area left spotless. I highly recommend BFP for your plumbing needs, and will continue to call upon them for mine.

So this is a review I should have done about 7 months ago. However, I forgot. Okay, so we purchased a home in Tampa and found out after moving in that our plumbing was shot. We called Benji on a Friday and they sent out their salesman and a tech. The salesman and tech told us that we would need to have the whole house re-plumbed and gave us three options to get it done. We went with the first and least expensive ($6,000.00) and paid before the work was completed. We were in a bind because we were desperate for a shower, and running water. Our salesman assured us that our water would be back on before Monday and that his crew would work through the weekend to get us set up. That was really all we cared about. So the next day, our plumber comes out with a high school kid doing his internship (no crew showed up just one guy and a kid). They surveyed the situation and told us they would be back on Monday to start work - When I asked about having it done over the weekend, he assured me that they do not work weekends and I would be waiting - Awesome! So Monday comes and we are with one Tech and our high schooler again, still no crew... They begin work and dig the trench around our house and start to re plumb using cpvc pipe. The only way through to a bath in our master bed is a tight attic space. This kid, who is the smallest of the two, is elected to run the pipe. I tell them to just cut a hole in my ceiling in the hall and that would make it easier and I could add an attic access. However, against my suggestion they go through the bedroom and of course this kid falls through the ceiling! Luckily, he was not hurt but I still have a damaged ceiling that was never completely fixed! WTF... Moreover, the work was bad. I had to go behind and cut old copper pipes that they just left sticking out of the walls. And they attached their pipes to my cabinets, so when I go to replace the cabinets (we are renovating our house) I will have to remove the backs from the cabinets just to get the plumbing through the back... Okay so our tech did work hard, and stayed late, he also installed a 50 gallon hot water tank at no additional charge (they had a dented unit that they put in), those are the positives. However, the work was supposed to be completed, this is now Wednesday, our water was still not working.. so Thursday rolls around and now the big boss comes out, our original salesman, and another plumber to get the issue fixed. We were told that since our plumbing was not done when they said, we would get a free ac tune up, and they would send out someone to clean our house - Show of hands who thinks any of that ever happened. Turns out that our original plumber had done some shoddy work, and the new plumber spent some time going back and fixing the work, and bringing it up to code. Would I use Benjamin again - With the amount of money I spent, and the promises that were never kept and the damage that they did to my home; No! I would absolutely not use these guys again!

The last time I ever call Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. It's a scam. My sink was clogged...they wouldn't snake it, wanted to replace or remove my garabage disposal. A simple job was asked and they were trying to make way more money off me. These guys must be commissioned based and want you to buy a product, rather than just fix the problem. I sent them away and called another plumping company that snaked my drain and fixed it within 5-10 minutes. No hassle and wasn't trying to scam me. I saved about $600 with using the other company. Never will I use Benjamin franklin again.

Hardware store and YouTube made me believe that I could easily change the heating element on my 21 year old hot water heater...why not save the money? It wasn't easy and I couldn't do it. In the process of draining my unit, water began gushing from the pressure release valve and it began making a high pitched kettle whistle. My husband cut the main and we called Ben Franklin. When my husband was deployed and my son was a new born, my air conditioning unit died. I remembered how awesome the tech was, even though I stress cried..a lot and the manager even came out to my property to address my concerns at the tech's behest. So, I knew immediately who to call. The operator said that they would arrive at 0830 this morning. No kidding, at 0830, Jose knocked on my door. He was even better than the tech was years ago. He assessed the situation, assured me that I did not almost blow up my house like a Mythbusters episode, and offered us alternatives ranging from repair to replacement. All of the financial aspects were completely transparent. We opted to replace our water heater instead of Frankenstein-ing it and when he was finished, except for the brand new unit, you couldn't tell that we had had repair work done. The area he was working in was as clean as it had been when he showed up. If you have a DIY fail, these guys are the first to call...ask for Jose.

We had a new A/C put in by Scott's On Hour Air and were extremely please with them....in the beginning. As time went on we were constantly pressured to buy more products, we were over-charged for filters, pressured to buy the club with the free maintenance which is really covered by the club membership. It's just a way to keep you as a customer. But it is another chance for them to keep pressuring you to buy other stuff. Finally saw it for what it was and found a real AC company with repairmen not salesmen.

Plumber was timely in finding the leak in my rental home. I paid a total of $360 to this company to find the leak. Their estimate to fix a bathtub drain was extremely high at $775. Found another plumber that fixed the drain for $146. This company charges way too much!!! Stay away.

Dan Pearce was my plumber. He was pleasant and courteous and informative. He did a rather big job(s) and went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable with all of the instructions and the ins and outs of the equipment. Very pleased.

Not recommended for natural gas work. They insisted that provider upgrade my meter before they could add a new gas consumer. In actuality, provider just needed to up the supply pressure. If the mods weren't plumbed in first, that change would have destroyed every one of my gas appliances. Attempted to contact Benjamin Franklin while gas guy was out. The promised a manager would call me to work it out. They never called. Additionally the $2k estimate seemed very high, clearly billing in a great deal of I don't know what I am doing labor Best to find a plumber that specializes in gas work.

Our house was hit by lightning, and we lost nearly everything electrical. Benjamin Franklin plumbing arrived fast and tried to do everything to get our tankless water heater above what they needed to do. Scott was here the same day I called for service! One of the outside faucets was leaking and he gave me a quote for the repair, I gave the okay and the faucet was fixed quickly. Both Scott and the guy with him were very friendly and helpful. I even signed up for the company's insurance plan. Im glad to have it, but hope I don't need them anytime soon!

Nathan was by far the most professional and polite technician I have ever had in my house!He explained all my options and did not move on until I was comfortable with my understanding of the scenario.He fixed the problem in a timely manner and cleaned the area as to look like he was never there.I highly recommend Nathan and I will be requesting him for any future plumbing needs.

Very professional. Brad the technician replaced the water filters on our system. Replaced one at a time and recorded the improvement in the water pressure after each. Showing me that they all needed to be replaced not just doing all at once.

Do not use this company! I called on a Sat for warranty coverage for my leaking hot water heater. I was told that there were no appointments available until Monday. On Monday at noon I called and was told that I was next in line. At 4pm they called and said that they would be here sometime after 5pm. When they showed up at 6pm, they did not have any parts on the truck because they were busy all day with non-warranty calls. It seems that all warranty calls are done last. Nice way to treat loyal customers! At 8:30pm, the part was replaced and they charged me a $69 fee which was $20 higher than my original contract. Stay away, far away!

Brad came out and fixed our Tankless water heater, so that was a great save...Hot water finally 🙌

I am very satisfied with the prompt and courteous service I received from Steven Golden. He made an on the way call, which I always appreciate. He was professional, knowledgeable, amiable and helpful. Never had I encountered such a patient technician, willing to take the time to answer my many questions, to provide information about my options, and to put my concerns to rest. Steven was thorough in checking all the plumbing in my home, even the fixtures. I am much more aware of my hot water tank and how to have the system better serve me. I'll be happy to call on him again as the need arises.

These guys are great. Had them install all my gas lines for new pool heater, fire pit, and grill. Not the cheapest, but Dan has come out repeatedly to make sure all appliances have been hooked up right, and they've been extremely meticulous and responsive over the course of this very long process, without any additional charges.

Had a rough night after our kitchen drain got clogged and leaked down through our newly installed vinyl plank flooring. After pulling up the floor and cleaning the water, we were not able to determine where the leak came from and still had a clogged sink. Steven C. came to our rescue. He was knowledgeable, informative and very professional. He got the drain unclogged and provided us with super helpful information! He arrived within an hour of my call and was extremely thorough and prompt! I would highly recommend!

Replaced the on/off valve for the main water line to our house. I was very surprised the price was $304, maybe I am out of touch and that’s a normal price but seems unlikely. But I am legitimately unhappy with the excess of above ground piping he put in after making a mistake.
