I am amazed at how well-built these older homes are.So PGE contracted w/this Co to inspect and modify any areas needing attn. They worked simultaneously and efficiently to update a couple of door weatherstrippings and modified several areas of one of my doors to improve the locking mechanism & weatherstripping efficiency. They checked for any areas of heat or cooling loss, and cked all gas appliances and heaters for leaks.Thanx guys!All i s well 🙂Polite, courteous and accommodating.✔️👍

We discovered on a Saturday that we had a leaky spigot causing damage to the side of the house. We sent a message on YELP to several plumbing companies to help with our issue. Within 15 minutes or so, we received a message from Balanced Comfort; they noted they could come to our house in the next few hours. Richard arrived on time and was very professional. He assessed the problem, was able to turn off the main water valve, provided a quote, and was able to fix the problem within 30 minutes. We were also very impressed by their use of technology (i.e. YELP messaging to create appointment, GPS tracker to show location of technician). Overall, we had a great experience with Balanced Comfort and would happily use them again!

My parents were recommended this company regarding their AC unit. They came and ended up messing up a fan in the air conditioner. Then, new guys (from the same company) came and found the problem. They said they would order the part and come back once it came in. My mom has tried calling and she cannot get through. It’s been about three weeks and she has not heard back and cannot get in contact with anyone. It makes me sad that my parents were taken advantage of and have been with no response or AC in this 100 degree weather and at the time, 107 degree weather. Will never recommend this company.

I paid close to $200 to have a home energy audit over 3 weeks ago. I was also supposed to get a quote for a system replacement the next day. I never received a call back for the system replacement quote.I called a week ago to find out why I haven't received my report or quote, I was told the person that does the energy audits would get back to me. It's been a week and no one has gotten back to me.I called again today and was told I'd be transferred to someone who would take care of me. The transferred call went straight to voice-mail.I have been very patient waiting for someone to get back to me. I haven't been rude when calling to find out what's going on. At this point I'd just like a refund.The only positive experience I've had with this company is with girls that answer and direct phone calls.

They suggested (but did not push) some maintenance and we’re able to schedule that for the next day. Price was reasonable and comparable to other companies we called. We recommend 100%.

They came to inspect the AC unit and provide weatherization to some doors. They are currently in the process of replacing the old ac unit. They arrived and got straight to work and wasted no time completing their job. I expect them to return soon and look forward to it. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone interested.

I can tell they know exactly what they were doing. They were very punctual and they even helped me with a minor door fix I had been neglecting. I highly recommend them. The services were affordable compared to other companies and I will be using them for any services going forward.

I applied for the PG&E Energy & Weatherization service and less than a month i was contacted by Phonesee who came to my home and checked to see my current appliance (refrigerator & washer) to see if i will be able to qualify for new ones in mines was either old or not functioning as it should be. I was told that I qualify for a new refrigerator. I was scheduled in a few days for the team to come and do what ever work that they See that needed to be done or what needs to be replaced and they just started working on it. I was shocked by how quick they all worked on my home and i like that they are great team player! Thank you so much Yeng Her, Jerimiah, Jose, and Albert! Overall, this business is professional and have a great team that works fast! I have attached photos of the things that was done. The issue was a plumbing leak and it was Cesar Arceo who resolved it.Very polite young lady helped me set up my appointment. Setting up appointment was quick and easy. Appointment was set for just 2 days later. So response time is a plus! The lady gave me a 2 hour window and sure enough the representative was there one minute prior to the 2 hour window. The gentleman called me to let me know he was there. Once I arrived to let him in, he put on booties to not bring in dirt and such. I appreciated the thought behind that. He quickly introduced himself and gave me a business card, and went directly into asking what the issue was. I explained the issue and he quickly moved to look for the leak. He found the issue and throughly explained it to my son and me. At that time he provided me the estimate and I agreed to pay. He then moved on to fix the issue. The entire process was complete within the hour. I am content with this appointment and the professionalism and timeliness of the employee sent.

I called when my ac went out and Juan was there in just a couple hours! He replaced what needed to be replaced, tested everything thoroughly and made sure I understood his recommendations. We had a pipe burst under our sink. I called and made an appt with a plumber. Ceaser came and assessed not only the leak but all the water pipes around my house. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and suggested we check for water damage behind our walls. A few hours later I got a call from Adam with the water restoration dept. He found significant water damages in my walls. He answered all my questions and got the job done promptly. The job was a messy one but he did an awesome job of making sure to do it as cleanly as possible. He was always on time and very communicative every step of the way! I would recommend this company to anybody that needs services! Great job guys 10/10!!

This is the second time I called Balanced Comfort for service. The first time I needed a water heater replaced and they showed up the very next day, determined it needed to be replaced and replaced it then and there; they were quick and did a great job. I later signed up for HVAC service and the technician was right on time, very professional and did excellent work. Once done he went over everything he had done which included showing me photos he had taken of each step he took and readings from any electrical part. This was the only company that had ever gone to the trouble of taking photos in order to go over everything later. In my opinion Balanced Comfort does amazing work and it’s by far the most thorough company I have ever dealt with.

Jeremiah and Felipe did an amazing job for my mother! They are kind quick and professional. You can tell they enjoy helping people. They were very patient and answered every question we had. I will definitely keep you in mind when its time for my own home energy maintenance.

At 1st I was really happy about the quick accommodations to come inspect our leaking gas water heater. I was left to deal with getting this done as my husband was working. The technician Sage is an incredible employee with such an awesome heart. He was great about explaining the situation to me and helping call the appropriate technicians to come help asap. Our issue arose on a Monday and by the very next day on Tuesday another 2 technicians, Luis & another gentleman I can't remember his name, came to install our tankless water heater. Sadly while in the process of removing the old tank heater it revealed water damage to the wall & the base of where the tank was. The technicians still with such discovery proceeded with installing the tankless heater over the wall with water damage. When I asked about it, they stated they were only instructed to install. They then contacted another technician whom called me that same day & stated that they'd come out to look at the water damage and give me a quote to fix it. Which now its been a few days and I'm still yet to hear from anyone. There where many occasions in which different departments within the company that were not in communication with eachother. Yes the company was quick to come out in a moment of emergency, and install a new heater. But my husband & I felt like it was inappropriate to over look and cover the wall that has water damage without bringing it to our attention. We would have taken a different approach than just installing the new water heater. We're greatful, just not 5 star happy with the service.

If I can give the account department in this company -5 stars I would. Techs were great, but if you like to have your payment lost, this is the place use. They will lose your payment and contact you 5 months later asking for the same payment, you have already paid for, then threaten to report it to the creditors. I have NEVER experience so many problems with payment. WORST COMPANY EVER!! I do not plan on removing this post, so owner, don't contact me!

They're either incompetent or crooks. I want to be VERY clear that the technician this company sent out was friendly and professional, but NOT qualified to work on a mini-split AC. He came, did some tests, troubleshot to the best of his ability, and said I had a broken thermistor. He told me the parts might be hard to find but I'd get a call on Monday (it was Friday when he came out). Monday came and went, I didn't hear back. I called Tuesday afternoon and they said they're still looking for the part. I finally got a TEXT, not a phone call, 10 DAYS after they first came out. 10 days with my AC acting up and they don't tell me anything! The text just said they couldn't get the part, and that's ALL it said. I asked what my options were. They sent a salesman out and he quoted me $15k for a new system, even though I found the part he said was broken for $140. Keep in mind this system is a Fujitsu system (they're supposed to be one of the best brands) and less than 4 years old.I called another AC company and they sent a tech out. He found the condensation sensors were dirty, cleaned them, and it works perfectly now. Balanced Comfort almost cost me $15k for a job that didn't even require a part. Do NOT let this company into your home.

I wanted a quote to have my ducts cleaned. So they sent out a Technition to give me one. The tech inspected our system for 3 hours and the quote for duct cleaning was $4,000. He then tried to sell me a new AC system for $22,000 with 10% interest. There is nothing wrong with our AC system it was working perfectly fine. After he left I called another AC company for duct cleaning they said they refer that service out to Stanley Steemer. Guess what, for $500 you can get a nationally certified duct cleaning from, Stanley steemer. Have no idea what that 4K was about. After the tech left, our AC system went down. It was perfectly fine before. All we wanted was a quote for duct and vent cleaning. It's mid July here in Clovis 100 degrees and now our AC doesn't work. If I go with my gut this place has SCAM written all over it. Do not bother with Balanced Comfort SCAM SCAM SCAM!

I have some angle to my roof and had a company come out that said they wouldn’t do it. While making the appointment with balanced comfort I advised them of this and they asked for a picture, and they had the technician state that they were ok with it before making the appointment. Jose was on time and friendly. This is how a maintenance visit should be.*** update, after reviewing the owner gave me a call to see how everything went, and if there was anything they could have done better. He made sure to state he was not calling for me to change my rating , but wanted to know what can they do in the future to make it a 5 star experience. I explained that 5 star and 1 star reviews are rare to me, and even when I look at reviews I typically look at the 2-4 stars when I want an honest review. The owner understood, thanked me for my time, and the call was over.To me 5 stars means they did something that was not at all expected and way above and beyond while being extremely beneficial to the customer. A one star makes you feel like you were wronged in some manner. While these two extremes do happen they are fairly rare.I am not adding a star because the owner called wanting me to change my review, I’m adding it because the owner cared enough to see if there was anything they could do better in the future. The owner actually cares and only good things can come from an owner always truly striving for excellence.

Rick Jesus and Sammy, they were on scheduled time and replaced the door knobs on my garage door and the other door leading to the outside. They insured the weatherization strips were replaced on the doors as needed. Really appreciated their service. I highly recommend this 3 gentleman in providing superb professional ensuring a high quality service for my home. In addition reported high levels of carbon monoxide from my fireplace , and immediately notified PGE personnel to come and look at it. I’m very very happy they came to my home for their services.

Yesterday was one of the hottest days in Fresno, CA this year (2021). It was on a Sunday night when I my condenser stop working. So, I woke up early Monday morning and called Balanced Comfort and the earliest time they had was a few days later. Of course, I was sad but I knew this time of year everyone’s AC was breaking down, so I scheduled the appointment.That was done around 7:30 AM Monday but about 30 min later I got a call back from Tommy to let me know they were able to get a technician out to my home within 20 min. Jimmy came out and within 15 minutes was able to tell me what was wrong with my unit I asked a lot of questions and we talked during the repair. I could tell that he was honest and forthcoming with all the details about my unit and that made us feel really good about using Balanced Comfort.I was really happy that it worked out and they called me back to get our homes AC back in working order the same day. I know Balanced Comfort maybe a newer AC company to the Valley but the people there were very nice, respectful and fast.The service was so good, I ask for a yard sign so my neighbors could see who fixed my AC.

Alex, Jose and Julio were very professional and answered all the questions I had. Good work.Update: 3months after they came and worked on my home(pge weatherization program) my unit stopped working. They scheduled an appointment between certain times. I waited and waited for any tech to stop by but one ever did! No call no show!!! I call back and they scheduled me for another appointment 2 weeks out! I told the guys when they were here that my unit would short cycle even had space heaters. They kind of brushed it off and they gave me a paper and said if it breaks down they would try to fix it and if they couldn't fix it they would replace it, but now I am hearing otherwise! The 2nd appointment they scheduled for me was supposed to be this coming Monday and I received notification that it was cancelled too!!! I would have to wait ANOTHER TWO WEEKS for an appointment that they will probably be cancelled for the third time! So for now we will have to wait out these hot days out! I am definitely not satisfied and think that this is extremely unprofessional of a company to do! They lie and sell you this story about how they’ll give you a year guarantee with that paper, that they will come a fix it if it breaks down but they just give you the run around! I was also supposed to receive a refrigerator with this program and they never brought it. There a lot of residents on my block that have been waiting since January too. Unbelievable. I will also be contacting PG&E.

Such a good experience with their company today. Juan was very professional and was very patient with all the questions I had, and took the time to answer them. I didn't feel like he was rushing and made recommendations. Granted we think our AC unit hadn't been serviced in years so he took the time to discuss with me issues and recommendations for the unit to run more efficiently. David Lopez was very polite, professional and took his time explaining his findings and what the follow up would be. David did some extra background follow up for us and called back next day with results and to let us know parts were available. I used Balanced Comfort on my old unit for yearly cleaning and maintenance. I am a handy person but I’m no HVAC technician. I really like balanced Comfort because they always do a detailed inspection including pictures of faulty items connected to their volt meter ( so I know it’s not a scam). Then I can easily get the parts and fix it myself.My compressor finally blew and I was faced with the decision to repair the compressor on a 12 year old unit or replace it.I got 2 other companies to come out and give estimates. They were both 20k plus, and one even talked poorly of balanced Comfort when I’d advised I’m waiting for other estimates to pull the trigger.Balanced comfort came out and gave me 3 options. 1) replace the compressor and install a platform for around 6k. 2) new 3 ton unit 14 seer unit with platform for around 13k. 3) new 3 ton unit 16 seer with platform for around 15k.They advised they cover the unit if anything goes wrong within 10 years. Which 4 days after install it was not coming out to cold, gave them a call and they were out same day and had it fixed.I have a very hard time trusting any type of maintenance professional. To many companies will lie straight to you face to get your money, but I feel like I can really trust this company and I would recommend them to anyone who needs work done.

BEWARE. This company allowed someone to use my information to pull a $20,000!!! LOAN under my name. When we approached them about it they admitted they DO NOT verify anyone's identity. They were also rude and disrespectful when we were questioning them. Since then I have been dealing with this issue and they have also placed a lien on my property because I reported the loan as FRAUD. Again BEWARE of them. They are just out to get a sale and are willing to do whatever it takes.

Alex and Fernando Installed new doors, insulated the vents, and replaced most of the plates.
They were very professional, courtious, and very friendly. We would definitely refer them to family and friends.

Always get a second opinion!! My A/C went out and we called them to come check the issue. Told me the control board needs to be replaced and the condenser fan motor was leaking oil and should be replaced also. $2,100 was the estimate. Called another company we did need a new control board and they simply adjusted the blower motor wheel because it was scrapping didn’t have to replace it only cost $560 now my family is enjoying nice cold A/C and saved $1,500 thanks to Dan @ Air Worthy. Thanks balanced comfort for trying to overcharge me

Two day scheduled installation of new AC unit. Fished in one. Works nice..but, found out an incentive was given for early completion from a second team to tie down new duct in attic. Dents, dings in walls, scratches in drywall around upper vents on high ceilings, black gunk on, around them. Some paint missing in hallway was shocking.I hope the incentives were not given for the rush and disrespect to our walls.Friendly, but sloppy. Hopefully the feedback helps and doesn't happen again.Explanation of new units available to have were good when Sales was here.

I signed up for the Energy Audit through Balanced Comfort. Boun Lee was the representative for Balanced Comfort. The company is lucky to have such a professional and down to earth face for their company. Boun was very knowledgeable about every aspect of my home and how to save me money on energy. He signed me up to get weatherization, lights, energy saving power strips and repair or replacement of an old fridge and broken AC/Furnace. When the crew showed up they worked valiantly not take to much time but getting everything done. I believe the foremen's name was Kather. I would recommend these guys in anyone's home and by the way I have. I have sent them many people I know to get signed up. Thanks guys for a job well done!

Balanced Comfort clearly is a good and legitimate business.Strangely enough I never called them.I submitted a request to Powell and sons. And got a message from Home Advisor, then Balanced Comfort called and said they got my details from Angie's list.but the caller was professional.so I made an appointment. It all ran very smooth was told there is a $59.00 call out fee. All good. Balanced Comfort communicated very well and Juan and Richard arrived on time and we're very helpful. My suggestion is call Balance comfort Directly to avoid any confusion. They are repairing a gas line to my pool heater, and adding a direct gas connection to my BBQ

I had my AC serviced in 4/22 under Balanced Comfort's Worry Free Summer Guarantee. Today with a temp outside of 105 my AC broke. 2 hours after my emergency page from the answering service I still did not receive a call back. I called again and received a call back and was told the next available appointment is in 3 days. So much for that guarantee...

Edgar was awesome in his HVAC maintenance call. He stated the tasks to be done, completed the tasks and gave me a report with explanations. In this report he detailed how my unit was performing and suggested a few things that may help my unit in respect to saving energy and preserving the life of the HVAC system. All this while being presentable, courteous and polite. This employee deserves an award and if this is how he treats all his customers he should go far in this company.

Attic unit was rusting out and leaking condensation. They checked it out same day I called them. They came back the next day and replaced the evaporator portion of my unit. The new unit had a plastic condensation tray and did not require a costly upgrade of the outside unit.

Best service ever!! Had our split system replaced with a all in one bosch 5ton roof sytem. Joey was very helpful through the whole process. The crew did a exceptional job removing our old unit and installing the new one. This new bosch heatpump is really really really efficient!! It's been about four months and this unit has kept our 2100 sqft home very comfortable with little energy used. We are very pleased with the unit and the work of everyone evolved on the job!! The financing options they have available make any upgrade within reach financially. This heat pump unit is awesome. I suggest when those climate incentives start to hit call balanced comfort for the energy efficient upgrades. We Highly recommend balanced comfort!! Super impressed!!

I have never written a review for any company before but I just had to do so in this case. I first called this company to do a simple P-Trap replacement and the guy that came out told me it would be $500. I asked why was the price so high for such a simple job and he told me that it wasn't him but whoever he was communicating with on his tablet setting the price. On top of that he didn't even come prepared to fix this seemingly simple job. He left for about an hour to get more parts to finish the job. I paid the $500 plus about $170 more for the HVAC maintenance plan (the one that's advertised for $99 right now).When I made my first appointment for HVAC service I expressed my concerns about being overcharged before and was told that the technician that came out was no longer with the company. I was also told that someone would be contacting me to go over the details of my last service. I never received a call. Recently I had my second HVAC service and complained again about the poor service and was told that someone would be giving me a call and again - nothing. This company has horrible customer service and I will never do business with them again and you should not either. Even though that $99 price for HVAC service seems like a good deal I'm sure that's just to get you in so they can overcharge for everything else and not care one bit about treating you with the respect you deserve.

Not only were they on time and courteous they were just kind and considerate of having a stranger in our home. They immediately made us feel safe and provided the best service. Will use them again and again and for more services too.

I was very impressed with this company and their technicians. The quote estimate was professionally done and thorough about the work they were going to do. The quote was accurate and the staff in the office from the schedulers to the technicians were very responsive, timely, and professional. Communication was responsive and they genuinely took all my concerns into account and made this install go seamlessly. Thoroughly impressed with the customer service.

Balanced Comfort has bad communication. The first time they were supposed to have a technician come to my house but they never showed up. We called back and they said they were going to send someone tomorrow. They ended up showing up pass the schedule time but we waited which they did do a good job. We had to call them numerous of times to get our AC unit which they never communicate to us that they were waiting for some parts. We had to call them almost weekly to get some kind of information. Then all of a sudden, they showed up without contacting us and said they were here for the AC installation. What happened today was very unprofessional when they had told us that they were going to call us before sending technicians to work on my property but they never called. All of a sudden, they decided to show up when no one was home and decided to work on our property without our consent. We then called the office and the representative kept saying that my wife agreed to them working on our property without us being present. The representative then said that did I want them to leave my property after the technician has been on my roof. At this point, we just agreed to them to continue the work. Very disappointing and will never work with this company again.
