Did not know this would be a book. I've edited to include additional information and references show a more coherent timeline.
I booked through our home insurance. It took three days to get a message that I had to book an appointment through Advanced Plumbing directly. I got an appointment about a week out for 3/16. The tech that was supposed to come out today, 3/16, had personal issues so he could not make it. Their fault right? Best they could do was reschedule another week out on 03/23. You would think they would try to accommodate by offering after hours service because it was their problem that they could not make it or get me a next day appointment. Nope, you go to the back of the dispatch line. They didn’t even ask what the issue was. Called the home warranty company and tried to get another company. I guess all the plumbers were busy as the person I talked to said there were no earlier appointments.
Tech was supposed to be there between 0900 - 1100. When I asked for a status, he had problems with his vehicle and would be on his way. I got an email and call saying he was on his way and a link to a tracker. The tracker showed he wasn't moving. When I called almost half an hour later, he was getting gas and he was 40 minutes out. He finally arrived and said the repairs done earlier hadn't been adjusted correctly and he corrected them. About an hour after he left, we noticed the problem started again.
We cancelled the renewal on our policy with the home insurance company and signed on with another insurance company. The new company allows use to choose a tech if we aren't comfortable with who they dispatch as long as the company is licensed and bonded.
But we wanted the toilet fixed. We called our home insurance company and they said they were still liable since the work wasn't completed while our policy was in effect. We were given a 04/01 1 - 4pm appointment.
Update: Advanced Plumbing was scheduled today, 04/01 between 1 and 4 pm. We received a call at 2:19 saying the tech was running behind and would be late. Not a problem. Received another call at 15:44 that the tech wouldn't be able to make it because the call ran long. Next available appointment will be 04/06 from 10 - 1. This is the second time they rescheduled and the reschedule date is a week of. When they can't make an appointment, you go back into the dispatch queue as if it is a new call. Their excuse: They are a plumbing business. I guess that means: they don't care, they don't have to.

I had the occasion to have Advanced plumbing replace a hot water heater through a home warranty company. The initial installation had some flaws and was tagged by the building inspector for one issue. I voiced my concern to Advanced and the company sent Chris out to the job. It was apparent that as soon as Chris arrived and saw the job, I knew he was very skilled and knowledgeable. He spent several hours on the project and corrected the deficiencies.
I was in the home building business for 35 years and have seen every make and model when dealing with the construction trades. There's 600K person shortage nationwide and sometimes hard to hire capable workers.
To the owner of Advanced plumbing: Chris is a keeper, Pay him well!

I would be real careful using this company, they installed a water heater which was not installed properly and their senior tech had to come out again and fix it. They charged us for the permit, but they did not set up for the inspector I had to call them for them to set it up and they gave me a day and and open time 0800-1700. I had to call them again for a better time because they did not call me like they said they would and I come to find out they did not set up the appointment like they said. Now I have to wait for them to drop the permit off and we need to contact the inspector. I find this to be unprofessional an i will never use them again.

Terrible service. They kept canceling my appointments and had a few no shows. One of the technicians called me at 2 a.m. in the morning. They came two times and fixed nothing. Charged my home warranty $175 for a diagnostic. Look elsewhere!
We have a warranty on the house which uses this company. They showed up and refused to fix the issue and wanted us to pay extra to fix an issue due to the original install was not done correctly. Why not just fix the issue and not ask for addition $$. Watch out for this company!
The item was originally installed by a different company. Now this company is trying to indicate it wasn’t so that they could get more business.
This company is horrible. Their technicians call out sick or take personal leave every week. They rescheduled me two weeks in a row at the time the technician is supposed to arrive. They will not give a managers number or help in any way. They just tell you they can reschedul you for another week. Terrible experience and no professionalism at all. I would not recommend using this company ever.

Some people have bad things to say of advanced plumbing, I had the opposite experience. I will admit, if you want a good technician you will have to wait and wait quite awhile, learn to test your patience a bit! But the manager was above the standard. He was easy to reach, responsible, humorous and got the job done, even when he had to stay after hours. I would recommend this company to all.
I called them to fix a leak under the kitchen sink at my rental property in Rocklin. They came out quickly and replaced the garbage disposal, which the repairman said was cracked. My renters didn't tell me for a few weeks that there was still something leaking so I went to check. The picture is what I found leaking. This fitting was right in the repairman's face when he was replacing the garbage disposal so I don't know how he could have missed that huge crack. When I called Advanced Plumbing, they told me I would have to pay again to have them come out. No thanks, I fixed it myself. I'm giving them 3 stars because I have used them before and they did a good job. They lost points on this job, though.
Chris did a superb job. He fixed the mess made by previous technician came one day before him.
Had work done through home warranty company. Prompt service.

Very unprofessional with inexperienced technicians and poor customer service. Our issue went unfixed for over a week with no end in sight. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone and will never use them again.

I had problems with my water heater and I called Advanced Plumbing and got an appointment quick. The tech came out and fixed my problem with no issues! Now we have hot water! I absolutely recommend Advanced Plumbing for all your plumbing issues! Thanks again for the quick response and great service!

Thank you Advanced Plumbing & Rooter Service. After 3 LONG weeks and 3; or, more different plumbers. We FINALLY GOT! A TRUE PROFFESIONAL in Alberto. On a Satisfaction Scale of 1 to 5. If I could I would GLADLY! GLADLY give him 10 Stars! YES! YES he is that GOOD! On Saturday September 5th Alberto came out to finish OUR re piping by doing the Hot Water line. The man gets my GREATEST RESPECT! Instead of being in a RUSH; and, CUTTING CORNERS! He took his time to make SURE! The job was done RIGHT! He did NOT! Want to leave the job site till I! Was COMPLETELY SATISFIED! I would GLADLY! GLADLY request him; and, HIM ONLY! To do our OWN HOUSE re piping if we ever needed it! Thank you Alberto! Thank you for being a TRUE! TRUE PROFFESIONAL!

I would give no stars but thats not an option. 3 weeks and my water heater is still not working. Im showering at the gym like a homeless person. If you like the feel of camping at home go with these guys.

Owner of comapny pulled gun on someone asking them to put shopping cart back to the corral.....imagine what could happen if you disagree on work he's done! dont put yourself at risk, go somewhere else
Unbelievably poor customer service, a complete disregard for customer's schedules. It is literally impossible for these guys to show up to an appointment on time, or even remotely close! They gave a four hour window twice, and both times didn't show up until many hours later! A total disregard for people who have to work for a living, and a completely non-chalant attitude in their office staff! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!

Advanced plumbing came to repair my broken water main. Tech explained in detail all he needs to do. How long will it take and priced it fairly working within my budget. Work was completed efficiently and I had my water to home as promised within time frame allocated by tech. Definitely using them again.

We have a toilet leak, this company came out twice, fixed the leak, and a little while after they left BOTH TIMES, the leak was back. Worse each time. We've been dealing with the issue for almost two months. It takes two weeks to schedule each time. You'd think that if you don't fix the problem, you'd send someone back out QUICKLY, at the very least two days, but no. My father in law just had surgery, so going upstairs was not an option for him, so we've been unable to turn the water off this entire time, soaking more than 6 towels per day.
Hopefully, this third time, when they finally get around, they can actually FIX the problem! Lets hope!

Thank you Advanced Plumbing for sending Mr. Julian to fixed the backed up kitchen drain. Julian explained the issue and provided great suggestions to keep pipes in good working order! Extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions and concerns! I will definitely use them again and will refer my friends...and I will tell all my friends to ask for Mr. Julian! Advanced plumbing team came out to solve a plumbing blockage. The tech Chris was professional, explained the issue (roots in the main line) used the fibre optic camera to show the issue, and did a very thorough job in clearing the issue. they had all the latest equipment needed to diagnose the issue, and the tech Chris was thorough. I would certainly recommend this plumbing firm.

This is a terrible company which has cost us time and money which we did not need to spend. Their internal communication is almost non-existent, their customer service is terrible, and all of the negative reviews you see on the internet are completely credible.
I have spoken with several agents over the phone identifying what our issue was, all of which said they would leave notes for the technician. The notes included what my issue was, what would be required to complete the job, directions to my house, etc. The technician showed up to our house not having received ANY of these notes, and was completely unprepared. He spent the whole visit discovering what we already told the dispatchers over the phone.
After the visit, we were told we would receive a follow up call to identify next steps. We did not receive that follow up call, and when I called back in, I was told that the solution to the problem was the very thing I identified with very agents before our call. They informed me that these services would be quoted outside of my home warranty.
Had the initial agents communicated with me properly, I would not have scheduled this appointment, and would not have paid my home warranty for the service. They wasted my time and money, and have told me they will refuse the refund I am going to request from my home warranty program.
All in all, this is a terrible company that is walking away with my money without having done anything for me.
UPDATE EDIT: After having 2 additional parties (including the a city technician) both parties have concluded that Advanced Plumbing's diagnosis was flat out incorrect. After attempting to call Advanced Plumbing about this issue their supervisor hung up on me.

The office staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and got a technician to me quickly. The technician wore proper PPE to make sure we stayed protected which was appreciated. Quick service and clean up. Would use again!
Avoid these guys at all cost! Very unprofessional and the worst customer service! I have a garbage disposal that doesn't work. The technician came out and took 30 seconds to determine the garbage disposal needs replacing. Then he says he does not have a garbage disposal in his truck so the part has to be ordered. Why would you go to a service call with a garbage disposal problem without the part to fix it. So, my whole day was wasted waiting on them and now have to waste another day for them to come out one week later to change my garbage disposal. I have home warranty paid for, so I'm stuck with them.
Just had our water heater replaced. They were prompt and professional. Well done guys.
A long time employee named Mike came out. I called my warranty company because I heard some sounds in my water heater after I used hot water. My water heater is 16-years-old and working just fine, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. It turns out my water heater is fine, and the Mike explained to me what the sounds I was hearing, which are common sounds coming from a water heater. He was very knowledgable and his explainations made total sense to me.
He also arrived early, which I really appreciated. I hate it when service calls come at the tail end of the time frame of the appointment. Coming early allows me to get on with the day without worrying that I have to wait at home.
So far, so good, so I will request them again from my warranty company if a new issue with my water heater comes up, and if my warranty doesn't cover it, I would be willing to choose them for the repairs.

This is Susan, Doug's wife. I ran out of gas in his truck across the street from their business. I had no phone because I had just gone to storage to look for it and couldn't locate it. I also had o'henry, my precious little dog with me and a swollen knee which made it difficult to walk. I walked across Elkhorn Blvd. Very slowly and finally made it to their business . The clerk was very kind in letting me use her personal cell phone since I couldn't use the business phone. She was busy when I finished. I wanted to wait a few minutes to call back to make sure my husband got ahold of someone to come since he had had a stroke recently and wasn't too efficient with the phone and my knee was swelling up and hurting. This other foreign lady came up to the window and said no. This is a service establishment. You can't sit here for a few minutes and I don't know if you can use her phone again (since she was busy I guess). So I hobbled across that busy street again and thankfully my husband was able to get ahold of someone to come rescue me. Very unsympathetic and unfriendly . They made me feel like a homeless person or undesirable. I would never ever use this company.

They cancelled my appointment two separate times because I didn't return their call fast enough. I had even *confirmed* my appointment over the phone the morning of my 2nd appointment. They called again just before the plumber was dispatched and i returned their call within TWELVE MINUTES and they had already sent the plumber elsewhere and needed to reschedule for a third time because I had not called back with 10 minutes. I was not going to make arrangements for a 3rd time to stay home for half the day anxiously awaiting their call and drop everything I'm doing to make sure I answer call back in 10 minutes. Worst service policy I've ever heard of.
FYI a company with the same name in Texas is getting some bad press. If anyone accidentally found this page, please note this is a CALIFORNIA company with the same name.

This place is running a SCAM with their warranty-referred customers. If you get referred to this place via your Home Warranty, call your warranty to get reassigned or just contact your own plumber to save yourself the headache.
These people cancelled on us TWICE. First time for a family emergency and second time because their tech went home sick. I'd believe this if every other review from a Home Warranty customer didn't say the same exact BS excuses...
Total PITA. My husband and I both rearranged our heavy work schedules to accommodate the initial appointment and then the rescheduled appointment, both of which Advanced Plumbing cancelled day-of.
The lady who works the phones told us we should just give up and call our Home Warranty for reassignment after they cancelled on us twice, and hung up on me when I asked how come all of the Home Warranty customer reviews say this is a common problem with them if they were really telling the truth about their excuses for cancelling lol.
She admitted they are short-staffed right now, so I'm assuming they cancel on their Home Warranty customers to make room for scheduling private-paying customers.
This place wasted 3+ weeks of our time, cost us two work days, and we still have a leaky sink.
What a garbage company.

Advanced Plumbing was called by my warranty company to answer my service request. Chris came on Thursday to follow up on the previous service call. His years of experience led him to solve the problem under my kitchen sink in a completely different and more efficient way. I appreciate how thorough and helpful he was. I especially appreciated him making sure everything was functional before he left and will be sure to call on him in the future.

The initial contact was timely but service has gone south since then. First i called about 2 faucet and a whirlpool tub. The tub was a claw foot and 2 technicians were sent. The one in charge thought that the evaluation would be too difficult and automatically said that parts of the repair was not covered and they had to stop though the second tech said theirs access screws on the tub that would give them access to the plumbing. I had to move the claw foot tub a couple of feet to fix it. Something that the second tech they sent at a different time was not necessary. Then the faucet. I am being told that only one is broken but since it's a pair both will be replaced so i said ok. The 3rd appointment the secondary tech from the 1st appointment only brought 1 faucet so i asked if both was being replaced and was told no. I asked why and i was told that the warranty only approved 1 faucet to be replaced based on the 1st plumber's assessment. When the tech started replacing the fauces he started replacing the one that the initial guy said was not broken because the flow of water was so low and i had to inform him that he is working on the wrong faucet. He then told me that it is obvious that both faucet were broken, now the lies started at the office level. When the tech asked for authorization to fix the second faucet he was told the office spoke to my home warranty and they declined it. I reached out to my home warranty company and it was clear that within the 10 min. they had, no calls were made to them so now here i am asking my home owners warranty for a second opinion since one of my faucet, according to Advanced plumbing tech is running at about 40% but the office is declining to fix.

I have had this company out 3 times for my water heater. The first time they came out they replaced the most common cause of the water heater going out. Understandable, but still wouldn’t stay lit. Second time was to see what was wrong and order the part. Almost 3 weeks later after my water heater going out, they come and replace the gas control unit in front, what they didn’t do is put the pilot ignition switch back onto it because “the bracket wasn’t the right one.” I looked in the bag of parts and there is the correct new bracket that is supposed to be used that, under my impression, they didn’t want to bother installing. So they left it dangling. So when I go to try and restart the pilot light I will sometimes get shocked doing so. Needless to say this is a hazard in itself and the corners they cut are a definite safety concern. There are also other new parts that they didn’t replace in the bag. As well, they forgot to even turn the water valve back on before they left. If they can’t pay attention to detail I don’t want them to work on anything anymore. Definitely would stay away from this company as they seem to not do a job professional and fully.

Don't waste your time or money. This company is absolutely horrible and very unprofessional. First they gave me a scheduled block from 12pm to 3pm, okay no problem. Didn't show up to my house until 5:10. Also, didnt have the decency to call and inform me that they would be late. Second problem, the tech seemed like he had no clue what he was doing and I was right because my cold water is now hot and my hot water is now cold. Third problem, I call the company to rectify the situation and they gave me the run around about fixing a problem that I didn't have before they showed up at my home 2 hours late. Now I will have to hire another company to fix the initial problem and the problem they created as well dealing with getting my money back from them. Please don't waste your time with this POS company.
Told me I needed a 2 way clean out found out with using Bonny I already had one in the front of my house almost paid $2300 for lack of service and qualifications.
I had a leaking pipe causing drywall damage, and my home warranty company put out a call for an emergency service within 24 hours. These guys responded they would take the call, but then called me and told me they wouldn't have any availability until over a week later, forcing me to go back to the home warranty company to have them re-issue the service request. That's unacceptable, and these guys really need to get their act together.

Do not use this company. They super unprofessional. The owner chris is racists and talked very bad about his own employees to myself and my husband. He also told me I should go to hell. Chris didn't do what he said he would do and I know have another problem because he didn't put my sprinklers back the way they should be. He cursed at my husband and I in front of my child. Do not use this company.
