Dane and his team came out today and installed the 4’ black fence with two gates and we love it! They called the morning of to let me know when they would be here and they showed up right on time. They walked the pool with us and made sure we were happy with the design of the fence layout before starting. They went the extra mile and put support stakes deep in the ground for some of our pavers that were not secured properly. The fence turned out beautiful. I did a ton of research and had several other companies come quote me. Protect a child is by far the best made poles and fence out there. I am super happy and would recommend these guys to everyone (which I will). Thanks guys for doing an awesome job!

This company subcontracts installation, but has no system in place to ensure quality control. After almost a months delay in install, they damaged my irrigation system and ignored my numerous attempts to correct deficiencies in installation. Attempts to contact the office to explain the contractor isn’t responding are met with unprofessional responses referring you back to the sub. This was not a low cost estimate chosen to save money. Buyer beware.

This company is amazing! Shane was our sales man who was Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Dane came out for installation who was friendly, on time, quick and professional. I could not recommend this company enough! Also great price/value! 10/10

This is just a review on how well this fence held up. We just removed it after six years and it was still in mint condition. The posts in the ground had no corrosion or fatigue. I called to see if they could reinstall it at a different location and spoke with Conde she was more than helpful and said that they could. She also asked if I needed any APS for the drilled fence post holes. I had forgotten all about that product. But when she mentioned it I remembered Marty telling us those were available when we removed the fence. This was all at no charge she is sending them in the mail. Also, I want to comment on doing business with Marty he was a pleasure to deal with. Very straight forward, did what he said he would do,when he said he would and it looked professional and clean when if was finished.

We have been very satisfied with Marty. He installed our pool fence 5 years ago. He came out for a free quote and explained his products and types of services. He was very professional, easy to work with, and punctual. He did a wonderful job on the installation. After 5 years, our fence has held up well and still looks like new. Recently, the latch of our fence gate broke and I contacted Marty via text. He responded right away and came out the next day and fixed it. It was still under warranty and he honored this without any delays. It’s been a pleasure working with him. We have also recommended him to friends of ours and they were very satisfied with him as well.

We could not have been happier with Protect-A-Child! Marty came out and explained everything to me and brought the product with him so I could see it in person. The instal was fast, clean and timely! They were also the most reasonably priced and responsive of the three companies we talked to.

I can not speak more highly of the service we received from Marty and his team at Protect A Child. We called, had a quote and the fence installed all within the same month. The install process was seamless. The technicians were kind, efficient and professional. They were in and out and our fence looks great! We have a 14 month old at home and we are at much more ease now that she's mobile that we have a dependable fence around our pool!!

Pool fence was not installed where we had agreed. they did come back and fixed it but the employees were so rude when they came back where they actually blamed us in a snide remark for their field changes. This company was once owned by Marty who is a great salesman but since he has sold it they are not the same company as seen in the older reviews.

Update: Our latch came undone and we were not able to close and lock the gate. Marty came out as soon as possible and fixed it...I added one more star to my review because Marty is still involved and is great to work with.

I am saddened to be writing this review, however the service I received is important for others to be aware of. I first reached out to Protect-A-Child Pool Fence about a year ago and received a quote. Due to other life events, we had to put off installation until most recently. I contacted Marty, who is very helpful. He came out quickly, confirmed the pool design and scheduled the install for 10am. The very next day, I received an email from Protect-A-Child offering a $100 off. The day before the install Dane (the owner) called and told me the install would not be until noon. He also mentioned that he was hoping I would reschedule all together, since he was going out of town or something. It was muffled, so I didn't get all his personal life stuff going on. He made a comment that he was hoping I didn't want it right away but was hoping for later. When I brought up the $100 off, he said that is not something he is participating in, but would off me $50. At first I accepted it, but upon review of the email again, I find it very concerning he stated he is not participating in a deal when his company's phone number is on the email. Additionally I received at least 6 emails on this deal over a week time. Anyways, the install day come. Since our install was moved to noon, I went to drop off my husband lunch at 11, returning home by 1130am. I quickly got the dogs locked up, gate opened, and everything read for my install. It was not until I walked out to check my mail, did I notice a business card on my front door from Protect-A-Child. Apparently they had shown up at 1115am. Obviously they did not wait around since they were ahead of schedule, since I was back home by 1130am. There was also no call/voice message left that they were running head of schedule. Dane the current owner DOES NOT COMMUNICATE well. Marty (the previous owner), does communicate to the best of his ability and I am sure if he was still running the company out install never would have gotten so messed up nor would we have been treated with disrespect. Anyways, as soon as i saw the card I called and left voice messages on the number on the back (the installer) and the number on the front (the owner). The installed did call me back (45 mins later) and said that maybe they could get out to me later that evening after 4pm, but to call the office the following week to reschedule. I have still yet to receive a call back from the owner. Unfortunately I could not do after 4pm, as we had family photos scheduled at that time . I also called and left a voice message for Marty, who did call me back. He was very apologetic and stated that Dane the owner had broken/lost his phone a few days prior and was only available via text. I don't know of any business owner who would go that long with out access to a phone. Interesting how Dane didn't mention that to me when he changed my time the night before. Come to find out, talking with Marty, other customers had called with similar issue, no installed showing up for there apt at 10am and it was noon, etc. Why on earth would the installed come to my house first if I was a scheduled at noon and yet the person before me had not received there install. Sounds like a pretty messed up schedule. If I wanted to reschedule the earliest they could reschedule me, was 2 weeks out. WOW! After I had already had a scheduled time, and had it changed on me, they wanted me to trust that the 3rd time they would get it right. Sorry! No Thank you! Any business where the owner cant return a phone call, or manage the schedule effectively, does not deserve my business. I recommend anyone doing business with them, be very careful and don't put any money down until the people have arrived and/or the job is installed. Who knows if they will even show up, but they may or may not communicate to you changes in there schedule etc. I am glad my husband would not allow us to continue doing business with Protect-A-Child.

The fencing product is great. The fence was installed 2005 and was everything they advised. In 2020 a large tree branch fell taking out two sections of fencing but not bending the posts. It took one month and about 10 phone calls before the section was finally replaced. Communication was the issue, a combination of horrible or nonexistent. They did not return calls, they texted that morning they were coming but no one was home and I have two dogs, I was very flexible and tried to set a date two weeks in advance and got the usual, we will get back to you by tomorrow and they did not.
As I said the product is great and the people are nice but the communication needs to be greatly improved.

Protect a Child was great to work with. Our family (including to young girls) recenly moved into a home that did not have a fence around the pool.

Protect a Child was prompt in coming out to provide a quote (literally while the movers where here) and equally prompt on the install. The installers were professional and quick.

We've used the fence all summer and have had no issues with family or caregivers understating how to get access and how to safely secure the fence to keep the little ones out.

Very satisfied with every aspect of our experience with Protect-A-Child. Great communication, affordable, fast and efficient! He came and left in about an hour and a half. Amazed with our results - we love our new fence and feel so much relief that our girls will be safe in our backyard. I will recommend Protect-A-Child to everyone I know.

Nice people. Good pricing. Didn’t try to sell me the most expensive product and gave an honest opinion on what would be good for our backyard and the most safe for our son. Love the final product and that it helps keep our little one safe!

We had our grandchildren coming to live with us for about 9 months .We we're really worried about having a safe sturdy fence.After much research It was a no brainier Protect A Child Pool Fence was the one for us.Marty Olshansky and his worker's installed a very nice and safe high quality fence and in less than a day.I would recommend them with a Five out of Five.Paul Plopper
