Phoenix Air Department is professional, efficient, and communicative! Their team replaced our air conditioning unit last year and the process went unbelievably smooth compared to other heating/cooling companies we have used in the past.

We are in a new home now that requires significant remodeling. Phoenix Air Department is the only HVAC company we trust for a project like this. They were quick to schedule a meeting for a quote that was very fair. We raised our ceilings and had to raise the ducts/vents. We also had an exhaust fan installed in a bathroom. They offered suggestions that were super helpful for this remodel.

I used PHX for some maintenance and small repairs about a year ago based on a recommendation from a friend. This summer I had 2 AC units break down within a day of each other on a holiday weekend. I got a quote from PHX air and from a major competitor. PHX air was not only significantly less expensive, but they took the time to explain some options and were extremely thorough in their diagnosis. They were on time, finished what they started, and made other adjustments to help balance our home’s air flow. The install team was awesome and took care of our home like it was their own. I had some questions after and they were quick to respond. Overall they were extremely responsive, helpful, a great value, and professional. Our HVAC system has NEVER worked better! I recommended them to another friend and they knocked it out of the park for them as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Multiple Problems After Install/Sloppy

They were the cheapest of their competitors, and they got the job done within a quick time frame. Beyond that, its been bad.
-after a $500 Sunday morning plumber fee, then another snake fee of about $150, we discovered PHX Air Dept had dropped a piece of PVC from their job in our sewer line. When we called them to report it and ask for compensation, they fought us on it and then only paid a fraction of the costs. Even though the entirety of our plumbing problem was their fault
-on their job they weren’t careful when navigating the attic and stepped on our can light causing a huge hole in the ceiling (to their credit they did fix this a few days later)
- months later we noticed a water leak out of that same can light after a bad storm; called a roofer who noted the seal around our AC unit is weak, they didn’t use a critical piece under the unit, and the general appearance of the AC unit install was messy; this repair is costing ANOTHER $500
PHX Air Dept was quick and cheap, unless you factor in the multitude of problems you’re setting up for down the road.

These guys are the best in the valley hands down! Knowledgeable and passionate about their craft!!!

Where do I start…..this review is long overdue and we are so grateful to Phoenix Air Department. Never in the three years we lived in this house have we said out loud “its cold!” Now, thanks to Thaddeus and his team we do! We hired them to replace the heating/cooling system in our attic (ie tight space) needless to say it was not an easy job but they made it seem effortless. Not only did they do quality work, they were efficient and very polite. I highly recommend them if you are looking for an entire new AC system you will not be disappointed. Their customer service is top notch! Thank you Thaddeus, Andrew, Thomas and Jake for upgrading us and keeping us cold for these hot Arizona summers!

The guys at Phoenix Air Department are the best. I’ve had them service both my home and business on multiple occasions and they never disappoint. Always on time, service technicians are polite and super friendly. Install and repairs have always been completed when promised, correctly, and have never been billed more than agreed to. I wouldn’t use any other company for my HVAC needs.

They really didn’t try to upsell me either which personally I like. Just told me my options and let me choose.

We had a high profile tenant moving in and we needed a couple units serviced ASAP. Another company came and quoted us 2 GRAND to move the condenser to the roof because it wasn’t getting enough air flow.

Thankfully we called Phoenix Air Dept. They came
out the next day and were able to diagnose the problem and actually create a REAL solution for less than half the original quote from those other guys.

Now our tenant is happy as can be. Phoenix Air Dept saved us time, money, and gave us true peace of mind.

We used Phoenix Air Department this month when our A/C went out. They got us up and running in no time! Their technician was prompt, knowledgeable and professional. To top it all off, their pricing was super reasonable. Can’t say enough about this locally owned business, would HIGHLY recommend.

Installation of a new unit. Prior unit was 15 years old and struggled to keep home cool. Phx Air scheduled within a few days for replacement and new unit was up and running within 5 hours! Techs were on time and courteous to answer all questions. Evenings in the home now are enjoyable with the even airflow. Cheers ? to another fifteen years with the new unit!

Highly recommend Phoenix Air

PHX Air has helped me on so many levels. During Covid they put in a system into my HVAC to give better air and kill off viruses in the house. I had a guest smoke inside my house they help me get the smell out and give me fresh clean air. PHX has worked on 3 of my homes replacing and cleaning everything. Fair pricing, easy to get a hold of, does the work and is clean. Wouldn’t go anywhere else when it comes to my homes and AC

I had a real mess on my hands during a remodel to my 30+ year home. Phoenix Air Department came in and offered me several solutions at an incredible price. The techs went above and beyond to make my home whole again. A couple of days later, another contractor blew a fuse to the AC. I called Phx Air and a tech came out within an hour and had us back up and running. I definitely recommend this company and will be using them for anything I need in the future.

I can’t wait express my gratitude enough for Thaddeus and PHOENIX AIR DEPARTMENT, I noticed my A/C not working, with the temperature In my house now rising I began to panic. I called PHOENIX AIR DEPARTMENT and within 30 min Thaddeus was at my door and began to work on my unit. Not even 30 min later he had found the problem and got me up and running. In these hot AZ summers we forgot how much of a lifeline our A/C’s our. Thank you to Thaddeus and his team at PHOENIX AIR DEPARTMENT!!!!

I had previously called out a home warranty because my ac was blowing hot air. They wanted a ton of money just to diagnose. I called PAD and they were out the next day. They diagnosed before even charging me. Turns out it was a loose nut on my air handler that was leaking coolant. They showed me pics on their iPhone, tightened it, charged up my air, cleaned my unit and also looked at the Nest I installed just because. Quick diagnosis and honest about work and prices. They also give discounts for veterans and first responders!

Thomas was early to our appointment. He was absolutely professional and courteous. Took the time to show me what exactly was causing my AC to no perform at optimal levels as well as giving me tips that I could do on my own to make sure things flow smoothly till my next tune up. Can not recommend these guys enough.

I was very impressed by how experienced Thomas was and specially the fact that he video tapes the issue which I could not been able to see and explaining to me so I could Justify the expense. This created a trust which is hard to find in service industry now a days .
