Worth the Wait! If you are looking for unique custom carpentry, look no further! Very easy process; paid a deposit, gave design needs and Paul Rene does the rest! We were out of town for the installation, but Paul was sure to give us many updates. We are very pleased with how it turned out.

My experience working with Paul Rene Furniture has been exceptional! Paul is a very talented, creative designer who understands the importance of a collaborative relationship with his clients. He asked all the right questions & not only listened to my responses but considered them & incorporated them in the design. We had several meetings to make sure I was 100% comfortable with the final design. In that process, he was always patient, thoughtful & willing to make adjustments based on my preferences. He was honest about his timeline & he kept his commitments along the way. Overall, it was a smooth, & actually quite fun, creative process. A rare experience indeed!

My wife and I were going over the wonderful features in our Phoenix home with friends, when we both commented about how drab our extensive remodel would have been without Paul's design and craftsmanship. His first work was in 2012. Design and build of closet interior, vanities, and entertainment center were perfectly balanced, beautiful and highly functional. In 2017,he added a full wall bookshelf system and entryway storage system. Despite multiple children and dogs, the furniture was not only great when new, but has held up admirably.

We have a weird office nook in our house and decided that a built-in desk would help bring the room together. Paul Rene is the Phoenix go-to for this kind of job. Everything was great and very professional from beginning sketches to final execution.

I have hired Paul and his company 3 times for custom work. They never disappoint. Amazing attention to detail, provide exactly what is needed and the customer service is top notch. Designs are beautiful and craftsmanship is incredible. Highly recommend.

The resulting value is well worth both the expense and the wait. We had two rooms outfit with custom furniture - an office and an art room. The results were simply stunning. Paul is wonderful to work with and his installation and construction crews are courteous, careful and detailed. Paul's attention to detail is unmatched in my experience and I have worked with a lot of contractors. If you contract him for your project, I will guarantee that you will be more than happy. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

Paul and his team delivered big time! I had a general idea of what I wanted in a home office. After a one hour in-home consultation--which Paul squeezed in merely one day after me contacting him--Paul delivered a design concept that was practical and aesthetically superior than what I could have ever envisioned. The installation team, which is also a part of the Paul Rene company, consisted of true professionals that worked in an organized and efficient manner. They installed a completely new home office with custom bookshelves, desk, and wood paneling all in one day. To top it all off, the price for the home office was very reasonable as Paul was sensitive to my budgetary constraints.

Paul and Rene are an amazing team. The care that went into the design, the build and the instillation was outstanding. I was very impressed with the attention to detail - I truly think they thought of everything on my project. I had a very large project - three rooms but the whole team made it very stress-free. I’ve had a great and memorable experience working with Paul over the past 10 years. During this period of time he has designed and produced a number of unique and stunning functional furniture art pieces for my residence; the types of pieces that elicit responses such as, “WOW!”, “HOLY COW!” and “THAT'S SO COOL”. Paul is diligent, an excellent communicator, and a man of his word. While his inner sense of design and style are strong and defined, he always makes it a point to gather feedback regarding the overall direction and details of a particular piece. I have personally found that I can be as involved as I would like to be in the overall process, which for me, ultimately provides that important emotional connection to the finished product.

The Paul Rene Team designed, built, and installed a desk and hutch and wall-to-wall bookshelves for a home office/library project. They did a great job and we are very pleased.

When initially discussing our project, Paul asked questions about what we were looking for and how we would use the room, and made some great suggestions. He really wanted to provide exactly what we wanted. The team did a great job of building and installing the furniture, too. It's all well-constructed and nicely finished, and the slow-close doors and drawers are a nice feature. Costs were competitive with other companies that we talked to.

The final result is amazing.

It is so refreshing to work with such an honorable professional! Paul is truly a gifted artist who lets his visions come to life. Paul takes great care in listening to your needs and ideas and is inspired to make them work in a beautiful and meaningful way. He is very attentive and respects the details of creating a masterpiece within your home. We had Paul design and build our den. It included a computer station, peninsula desk space, shelves and drawers, and a frame for the T.V.. Paul also built me an artist's easel that fit flat into the drywall. The beautiful desk even incorporated a large counter space with slots underneath to hold my drawings and paintings. Paul built us a beautiful french library wall in the formal living room that included a window bench seat, long enough to lay down and take a nap. Paul built a frame for our T.V. in the family room that matched the stain of the cabinet below. Upstairs, Paul built a beautiful L-shaped children's work station that housed two complete desk areas with floating drawers, hidden charging stations, and shelves. He even built floor to ceiling floating book shelves that tucked perfectly into the opposite corner! Paul is artistic, enthusiastic, professional and one of the most driven individuals I have ever had the pleasure of working with.

If you are looking for someone who is easy to work with and can respond to your design challenges, look no further. Paul was very professional, listened carefully to what we wanted and came up with a unique design that we absolutely love! We are extremely happy with our wall unit and look forward to working with him again in the near future.

What a wonderful experience. From the time I connected with Paul I knew I had made the correct choice. He is a very personable individual. Both Rene and Paul and also Brittany were great. The bookcases, office cabinets and shelves and my oak doors look beautiful. The crew that installed the items were quite pleasant and thorough. I am now trying to find something else I need them to build for me.

Paul is an amazing designer and his pieces are gorgeous and unique. I've commissioned him to design and build several custom pieces for my home - he spends time with you to understand your vision and space and the result is beautiful furniture that is functional. I could not find what I really wanted in any store or website, so Paul designed exactly what I wanted for a reasonable price. We used Paul Rene for a custom office cabinet, custom office desk and custom media center cabinet and we are extremely pleased with the results. I would highly recommend Paul Rene if you are looking for creativity and a custom design tailored to your vision. Paul and his team are committed to excellence and it comes across in their whole work product. Need to be willing to put in the time to design and deal with all the challenges that a custom work piece brings in predictability and schedule but it’s worth it.

We have low and high spaces on the sides of our fireplace and Paul designed an amazing combination of shelves and boxes for our books and art, with the high side “dissipating” towards the ceiling. The clean yet rustic style is just what we needed to combine our Southwestern sculptures with our Modern furniture vibe. Martin and his build team are meticulous - the installation is impeccable. We are so delighted!

Our bookcase, designed and assembled by Paul Rene is awesome. Totally surpassed our expectations! All we did was tell him what we needed and he took it from there. I keep finding myself passing the den just to admire the finish product. We are very happy and satisfied customers!

Custom man cave and arts/crafts are two projects that we recently had completed and they are exceptional. The initial design assistance helped us articulate what we wanted to see as a finished product and the workman ship is exquisite in detail. The installation was highly professional and we are delighted with the end result.

I've used Paul for both a home project and a small medical office. They did amazing work. Paul has great taste as a designer and his crew is very meticulous with the install. I would highly recommend them!

PaulRene is a phenomenal company! After three different projects, they continue to exceed our expectations! The attention to detail, the workmanship, and their professionalism is incomparable. Since our first project, they continue to be “the one” to call first!!

Unfortunately, I am compelled to change my review from 5 stars to one. Paul Jeffries, the principal and owner of Paul Rene, misleads. His website represents that he builds furniture, but he does not. He only designs it. Further, he is not particularly responsive to messages because he is traveling. This has led to follow up and other issues related to his product difficult to impossible. While the work appeared to be well done on my project, it was important that the large entertainment center be movable and portable to another house, although it would fit in the alcove to look like a built-in. After installation, this was again confirmed as warranty work on my house necessitated moving the unit to replace the tile under it. Mr. Jeffries assured me that his people could move the unit for me for a charge. However, a year after the unit was installed, Mr. Jeffries was not responsive to my messages for many days, then advised he could not move the unit as promised because he was not in state and no longer building furniture, only designing it.. He said he would reach out to someone in Tucson to see if he could handle. There was no response. I asked again for Mr. Jeffries to help and provide a name, but he refused and suggested Home Advisor. I contacted a number of companies, some of whom declined the work and 2 who inspected and evaluated the unit and said (a) it was not built with good materials or finished well and (b) was not assembled in the usual manner to be portable, and that moving could cause considerable damage. They both opined that I grossly overpaid at $11,000 for the unit, which should have cost custom made about half of that and would have been better built with better materials. I sent to Mr. Jeffries a final message asking him to please advise who built the unit, so I could speak with him and get their opinion. Mr. Jeffries has refused. This is a very bad sign and large red flag that he won't let me talk to whom I thought were his employees, but now may have been subs with whom he does not want me to communicate for reasons he obviously does not want disclosed. All of this is very disappointing and very disturbing and it has caused considerable trouble and grief in the warranty work on my house. Mr. Jeffries and the Paul Rene company are not reliable. And be aware that his website is not accurate. He does not build furniture.

We all have an image, look, and feel, of the custom furniture that we want - Paul's an extraordinary guide in making your vision a reality. He made it all about what I wanted and the process was easy and simple. Couldn't be happier!

What an amazing group of talented people. The design and the manufacture are brilliant. We now have 3 extraordinary pieces of Paul Rene art, cleverly disguised as furniture.

We had a custom niche designed for our family room. Paul was great to work with and understood our needs. Unit delivered 2 weeks early and far exceeded our expectations.

No job too big or too small. Ours was small, just a cabinet and some bookshelves. BUT, it was handled as if it was the only job in town. Quality design, quality construction, quality installation. They even managed to exactly match the finish of an existing desk ! Highly recommended!

This is a hard review to write because I can’t quite word how I feel about what Paul Rene did to my home. I also have a hard time taking the pictures that would best showcase the work they did.
So I’m just going to do my best.

1- My library is absolutely and insanely beautiful. The lines, the wood, the feeling, the craftsmanship are all one of a kind and special to my wife and I.

2- The sturdiness of the install is exceptional. There is a rolling ladder that actually rolls around a corner. That is not normal. It is beyond what you would expect, and just amazing to use. The track system that the ladder slides on is super unique and low profile. It is sturdy and functional. I love it.

3- The creativity Paul Rene employed to design and manufacture this library was beyond what I could have envisioned. He sat with my wife and I and listened to us. We are lifetime collectors of books and avid readers. Every book on our shelves have been read at least once.
When we sat down together he asked about our personalities, what we loved about books, our personal taste.
A few weeks later he came up with a draft design. We worked back and forth for a few more weeks adjusting lines and adding more curves until we have the library you see pictured in the review.

4- Paul Rene worked hard to install the library. The team they used to install everything were courteous, and incredibly professional.
After a month, I asked them to come back to look at a part of the ladder slide system and they were here adjusting it in no time.

I can say this honestly- Paul is an artist without peer. My photos barely capture what he designed., and what I have the joy of living with. His partner Rene is a technical master at construction. Bringing the vision to a function that is delicate and sturdy enough to hold thousands of well loved books.
