New Look Kool Deck and More

After receiving five estimates to repair and resurface the decking around my 14 year old pool, I decided to have NLKD do the job. Dave the owner came to my home and after examining my deck, gave me an estimate which was $1000.00 lower than my highest estimate. He explained what process he uses and it was the same that everyone else uses. NLKD had good reviews so I decided that I would contract with them. Dave said that when he got back to the office, he would check their calendar to see when they could start. Kelly contacted me from the office and said they could start on 9-14-22 and the job would take 2-3 days. The crew, Brandon and Angel were due to arrive between 8 & 9 on the 14th. The office contacted me on the 13th to advise me that they were running a little behind on a previous job and the crew would be at my home a couple of hours late on the 14th. ( most companies don’t let you know and leave you guessing). Anyway, they showed up at approx. 11:00 and immediately went to work. These two workers are the best that I have ever encountered. They did not waste any time getting started and had my pool bubble wrapped in no time and masked everything around the pool that could have received overspray from the process they used. On Friday, the 16th, Brandon and Angel finished my Kool Deck resurfacing and it looks better than it ever has. Brandon and Angel uncovered the pool, removed all of the masking that they had done and cleaned up any mess that they had made while completing the job. I cannot say enough good things about these two guys.
One other thing I would like to mention is the honesty and integrity of this company. When Dave examined my decking for the estimate.he found several areas where he felt that the cement was deteriorating and that those areas would require extra attention and a special coating to seal it. On the estimate this was a $300 charge. I asked Brandon how the cement looked after he finished grinding the coating off. He said that it looked fine and and didn’t feel that the special coating was going to be necessary after all. I mentioned this to Dave Sheehan, the owner, and he said that since Brandon felt that it wasn’t necessary, I had a refund of $300.00 coming back. A few days later Dave stopped by and presented me with my refund. Again, I cannot say enough good things about this company and his employees and highly recommend them to anyone that may need the type of concrete repair that they do. It should also be noted that I am not affiliated with or compensated by this company.

Great crew and great product. These guys did a great job resurfacing all around our pool and extending it to also include our patio. The area looks so much better and I couldn't be happier. Also, bonus, they were the least expensive of all the quotes I got. Thanks, we couldn't be happier!

We had an excellent experience with NLKD! Dave came to our home to give us an estimate to repair and resurface the kool decking around our 20 year old pool. The work would be complete in 3-4 days. As their Slogan says, Good Work Isn't Cheap and Cheap Work Isn't Good . However in their case, Excellent work is more than reasonable! My pool patio deck went from a bland, slippery tone to a well finished, professional looking social area. Progress was steady, a few unavoidable delays, but the team pushed through and went that extra mile to provide a quality product and service. Will definitely be using for future projects!

We had the owner of NLKD come out to view needed repairs on our old worn out Kool Deck surrounding our pool in May 2020. David came on time, provided much needed guidance on steps necessary to bring the area up to standards and quickly provided a very competitive quote for repairs. The crew they sent out to do the repair were ON TIME, completed the prep work quickly, answered any questions we had and the clean up process was spotless. End result was a pool deck we were very pleased with that should stand the test of time. The product recommended allows us to walk on the area even in the hottest summer temps. We had NLKD refinish out pool deck. This was not an easy job as they had to remove some old fake rocks from deck and pour new concrete in the spaces. THEY did and fantastic job. It was just unbelievable the difference it made. We liked the work so much we had them finish some other deck areas the following year. What was most impressive was communication and follow through. Both times they were prompt and on time, clean up was awesome and kept us informed all along the way. Their professional work and attitude was extremely refreshing compared to the wham bam work we have experienced with other contractors we have used. They will make your project a breeze. We are very satisfied with the driveway resurfacing performed by NKLD. Dave provided the estimated in a timely manner and the quote was very reasonable compared to others we received. Angel worked diligently to complete the job as promised and we couldn’t be happier with the color and texture he produced.
